Chapter 24: Message for Home
Magic Dimension, Alfea
"So, as the weekly holiday is coming up and a chance for you three to have a breather by choice. Now we have established a link between our realms, we should have some help on the way." Yen Sid brought the young keyblade apprentices over to the office with Faragonda's permission for the discussion of their plans and gave them time to rest after the Chaos challenges and focus on their studies. Learning much of the recent abilities they achieved and have made them more alert should they receive an unexpected visitor like Chaos in the future.
"Well, we could send some vids to our folks back home to let them know we're doing fine." Ben said, thinking his parents would be proud to see him come this far but also worry or throw a fit if they hear the stuff he and his friends went through. Not certain how the cat god knew where they were so he best keep it to himself for now.
Mal nodded. "Anything's better than facing a demon, like LadyDevimon. Seems the Titans you gave them were a good idea." She will have to watch her back if she ever sees her again.
"And now we have to be more alert than ever, so far no signs of Grimm which would be a blessing. For now, it is best to do some training in your spare time and work alongside the Winx and the Specialists." Macbeth advised them until he noticed Taren a little distracted and… half awake. "Taren? Taren."
Taren out of his thoughts and looked half-awake. "Sorry, didn't get some sleep last night." Rubbing his eyes while apologies, doing his best from yawning in front of them.
"You look like you barely slept then ever." Mal pointed out and known his habit but this was a little different.
Genie appeared beside him. "The kid had been having those dreams again?"
"It's been the same every day, these people appear and no idea who they are. Hardly shown themselves and this time I had a dream of a woman who… well sort of did some dance to summon or sent a creature away."
"Wait, like how you set that dragon back to where ever it came from?" Mal asked after she heard about their battle and about this history between the Magic kingdoms and another realm where the creatures Chaos brought came from with a history between them.
"Yeah, it's weird, it's like they were trying to show me something… or maybe that woman from earlier." Taren tried to explain to them.
"You mean the masked woman from your dreams?" Yen Sid held out the sketchbook in his hand that Macbeth brought him. "Are you certain you do not know her?"
Taren nodded his head. "Pretty sure, so far Timmy was having a look into it. Don't know who the others were but had some bit of a description of them."
The Keyblade master was silent in the thought of what the boy had said and could perhaps look into this. "For the time being perhaps take a rest and focus on relaxing, you must remain in good shape for both body and mind to confront your foes. I will return to Radiant Garden and also help communications for you to contact your families."
Hearing this made the three smiles to realize they'll see their families and friends again, well on communications but better than before.
The three took their leave and walked out of the room when the headmistress entered once they were finished.
"They seem to be getting stronger now, with the support of their friends I hope they accomplish their goals."
"As do I, Faragonda, and seems we have further information about Taren's dreams as he considers them." Hearing this caught the fairy's attention of what they learned and worry her. "I will ask for any information from our friends, but recent news came to my attention on Destiny Island."
"Did something happen to them?" The headmistress asked in worry and hopes the keyblade wielders as being Taren's home and family were not in danger.
"They are fine, ma'am. But something they found had come to our ears, but also hear that young Bloom will no doubt return to Earth?"
She remembers about Bloom being from Earth and would be returning to her homeworld to visit her parents. "Ah yes, once the students have completed their assessments they will be allowed to return to their homes to enjoy the break. But somehow I feel you have something on your mind related to Bloom?"
Yen Sid nodded to answer her question. "Correct, we feel perhaps she should be with someone she can trust and accompany her back to Earth should something happen."
"Hmm, I see. You do have a point." She thought that perhaps it'd be much safer to have someone with her in case Tezzeret or his allies, or something terrible might happen to her. "I suppose you have someone in mind for the job?"
"Indeed, and think we picked someone for that job." Macbeth couldn't help but grin of the thought.
The keybladers left the office and walked down the hallways to make plans for their break until they see Tecna, Flora, and Stella approaching the trio.
"Hey guys, how'd it go? Tecna asked them.
"Just been talking about plans for the break." Ben said.
"Well, you should be pleased to hear we all passed the mid-term exams!" Stella gave a bright cheerful smile on her face.
"Hey, good for you girls!" Genie congratulated them. "Oh, if only I knew that, I would've made a celebration cake."
"Stella almost failed had we not persuaded her but was so focused on the Miss Magix competition." Tenca sighed but leased she passed. "But you should've seen what happened, all the accidents."
This caught the four by surprise to hear about it. "Wow really?" Taren asked her.
"Oh, I heard about that. Let's just say nearly all the contestants were at the hospital." Genie explained, causing the keyblade wielders to be glad Stella was ok.
"I was fortunate to make it out in one piece. Plus, had it not been for that cheater using magic, I would've come second." Stella told them with her arms crossed over her chest.
"You barely passed had we had to keep your focus on the books." Flora told her to have to get her to study more than get into trouble. "You were lucky that Professor Palladium was willing to give you a second chance."
Stella raised her hands before her. "Alright, alright, I promise to do more studying like Bloom said, sheesh." Not wanting to go through another lecture, nor want to flunk another year.
"So, glad to hear you girls passed. Must've been a hard one." Taren asked and was happy to know about it.
Tecna didn't seem bothered about it and shrugged her shoulders. "Hmm. It wasn't hard so long as you knew the task to complete such as how to undo a spell by witches, or change an environment to restore its natural state."
"But now we finally can have a chance to head home." Stella beamed.
"Must be nice to see your families again." Ben said and couldn't help but smile. "We were making our videos ready for our folks. And surprising news is… well, we get to see them after all these months."
"Really? Oh, that's amazing! I bet your families be so proud of what you guys have done and what you did." Tecna was happy to hear about it.
"At least you have parents to see them." Stella sighed and looked down all of a sudden. "Just that my parents… getting a divorce, it just really sucks."
The teens winced and were feeling pity for her to go through a thing. Even Mal shared the feeling but didn't want to admit it. "Sorry to hear that, I guess not all of us are lucky at times. Besides, I made plans to help Flora by showing her how to use and manipulate trees for certain ideas for defensive strategies when she saw me against the Deathstalker."
Flora nodded her head. "I thought perhaps we could swap ideas and how both our powers are almost similar it would be a great idea, I thought of asking her first since I figured she would want to hang out with Mirta but was heading home already." They heard about it and had to take an early leave to catch the ride back home, saying she'll keep in touch with them and hopefully come over to make up for the rest of the week they have.
"That might be a good idea to learn new ideas to develop our skills, Mal." Tecna thought it would be a good way to train and work together more. Turns to the prince of what his plans were. "What about you, two? Have plans?"
"Well, good news we'll get to contact our families and friends back home." Ben told them, which made the girls smile and happy to hear about it.
Taren couldn't help it knew he'd be nervous about what to say to his parents and his sister. "Yeah, they're probably worried about us for about a year now."
"Well, it must be a relief that you be seeing them again. I'm curious to know who they are as you once mentioned about them being Keybladers themselves." Tecna remembered from the conversation they had back in the swamps a few weeks ago. "Had some research but then the books about them were put away."
"Just when Bloom and I found something, the library had to put them away." Stella pouted.
This was a surprise and the first time hearing about this. "Maybe they thought to keep them out of harm's way until it's safe should they hold something Tezzeret maybe after." Mal thought as it would make some sense to ponder.
"That would be a possible theory." Tecna pondered. "Maybe next time you can show us your worlds."
Stella looked at Taren with a coy smile on her face, which made him a little nervous. "Speaking of plans, any you have?"
"Uhh, well just something in mind but just visit that's all." Taren tries to act cool and not dare mention where he was going.
"Stella, if he doesn't want to say it, then it shouldn't be our business." Flora had some idea but kept it to herself knowing what Stella up to.
"Oh well, just seems the other day, Bloom was light as a feather. Had you two been doing more than a stroll?" Smiling to see him flush and caught everyone's attention
Taren sighs and knew this was gonna happen sooner or later. "Alright, fine! Bloom invited me over to her place for the week."
"Oh! And just happens to be just you?" Mal had a go of teasing him before Taren rolled his eyes.
"You were invited too, you know and Ben but had plans." He pointed out to the witch.
"Yeah, but had plans. Didn't want to ruin the moment."
Ben would have come but couldn't. "Yeah, sorry, bud. I already made plans and a request for Yen Sid. Also in case one of us should stay behind if something came up. But I'm sure you can handle it."
"Yeah! How can this week be such a bad thing?" Genie gave his support to him.
"Well, that's the thing. I've never been to a girl's house in more than a week. Heck, I've no clue how this thing would work since it's the first time."
Stella was more curious to know like everyone. "Seriously? Come on, with a handsome boy like you, you must've had admirers."
Genie flew to her side to whisper. "The kid takes after his father, bright but sometimes dense around others."
The redhead didn't mind the mention. "Yeah, ok, not all of us being on relationships or experiences. But maybe your here, I could use some tips during the week."
"But, you spend the months with Mal." Flora pointed out but noticing the mischief grin on her face and Taren narrowing his eyes at her of being accused of something.
"Only because she doesn't leave a couple of water bombs, paint our faces or change our hair using magic."
Mal threw her hands up at them. "Only the first couple of weeks. Right when I started using the levitating spells." Couldn't help herself but grin from the 'fond' memories of their friendship. The girls couldn't help but try to prevent themselves from giggling of picturing it.
"Now, now, dearies, no need to fight to tease him." Genie as Mrs. Doubtfire said. "Perhaps give some advice to help the young lad."
"Sure, if your spending the week with Bloom, you have to be yourself, just relax and not get too nervous." Stella gave her advice to him first.
"And from what we heard from you all first met, I'm certain her parents will easily welcome you," Tecna told him. "But to make a good impression is to offer help if needed."
Taking notes of the advice they gave him. "Ok, sounds no big of a deal."
"And most important of all, no lazying about in bed," Mal told him straight forward. "Whenever you hit the pillow, you sleep right through it."
"Guess it runs in the family, his mom had to come up with ways to pull them out of their beds." Genie said.
"So I'm a sleeper at times, it can't be helped." Taren tried to make reason with the habit of his
Flora giggled and then thought of giving something important. "Oh, and just something to let you know, Taren. Bloom has been having... well odd dreams lately."
"Really?" Ben asked her. "What sort of dreams?"
"Hey, guess you two have something in common after all, apart from the similar hair color." Mal said.
"Wait, so you've been having dreams too?" Tecna asked. "That would explain how you look a little tired."
"Ok, yeah, but all I have is really bizarre and this masked wo-"
"Shouldn't you all be getting your things packed up, can't have you all standing here all day." Griselda walked towards them.
"Sorry, Ma'am, we were about to head off and gotten side-tracked." Ben explained to her before looking back at the girls. "Sorry, but we'll have to finish this another time."
Stella nodded. "No worries, and see you after the week. And Taren, hope you and Bloom play nice together."
Taren blushes and stuttered. "Wha-ah, Stella!"
"Don't listen to her, but hope you have fun and hope you keep Bloom safe." Flora said and waved him goodbye to see them make their leave.
"Well, guess we now know what's going on." Stella said and noticed Tecna in the thought of something with her hand up to her chin. "Something on your mind?"
Tecna looked at her friends. "Just something what Taren was saying, that he had been having dreams like Bloom and also about to mention something about a mask."
"You think there could be a connection?" Flora was worried for both her friends and believe what she witnessed from the earlier battles couldn't be just a coincidence.
"I think maybe we should look into this more, I feel there may be something going on here." She wanting to find out more and believes some have answers but not telling, doubtful that either one of them is aware of their powers' true nature. "I think after our break, we need to find out more about this." Making note of it on when they come back from their weekly break and find some answers that could be connected to all of this.
Bloom packed up her things and made certain her clothes were wrapped up clean and tidy before she picks up her phone to call for her parents, it was a lot of help from Tecna who modified her phone to call her parents on Earth then use a phone booth. "Ok, Kiko, I'm gonna call them and hoping this week be great." Petting her pet bunny who was chewing on his carrot.
"Hello?" Hearing the sound of her mom's voice made Bloom smile.
"Hey, mom it's me, Bloom."
"Bloom! Oh, it's good to hear your voice. How's school going so far?" Hearing her mom ask about what she was doing.
"Doing great, we just finished our last test and did great. I also thought to give you the heads up that I'll be coming over soon." Bloom didn't want to bring up some parts that could make her parents worry like the giant dragon or the Grimm monsters.
"Oh great! We'll look forward to seeing you home, sweetie."
Bloom smiles and excited to be home again, but then also thought of something else. "Uh, mom? Listen, you don't mind if I bring someone?"
"Sure, who did you have in mind? Stella? Mal?" Vanessa asked her since only knew about them in person but had kept them up to date on the friends she made.
Trying not to flush until she answered. "Uh, well Stella is heading back home and Mal is helping Flora on some magic with both able to use plants. Its… well, I thought maybe, Taren. I mean, well I was gonna invite Mal and Ben too but they had plans made."
"Of course, we wouldn't mind at all. I'll speak to your father and sort out the guest bedroom."
Bloom smiled to hear that. "Thanks, mom."
"But since we're on the subject, did you ever asked him out on a date?" Hearing her mom ask her a question. Causing Bloom's face to go bright red as a tomato. Unable to believe her mom would ask such a question over a crush she has.
"MOM!"
Her voice could be heard outside the school with the others working some stuff until they heard something.
"Did you hear something?" Stella asked Musa, poking her head out of the door.
"Nope." Musa shrugged her shoulders, thinking it was something else while packing her things.
Destiny Island
"Ok, so remind me how there's been an ancient ruin right under the very island you three lived on your whole lives and no one even noticed it?" Tifa couldn't have believed it when she heard about this discovery until they arrived on the islands and found an entrance next to the keyhole itself. She came along with Cid, Donald, and Goofy
"I still couldn't believe it when I fell in and noticed something big down here, so came to call for you guys to check out." Sora brought out some torches and equipment like rope but they brought a ladder to make easier access down.
"Just what's down there?" Riku never had the chance until now and eager to find out.
"We won't know until we see, I'll go first" Sora said, switching the flashlight on before taking the first step to climb down. "Watch yourselves until we find some way to light the place." Takes the first step to climb down the entrance, followed by Riku and Tifa,
Cid and Goofy waited for their turn until the three reached the bottom.
"Ok, you guys can come down now." They hear Tifa's voice to confirm which didn't seem so deep.
Cid heard her and approached the ladder. "Alright, I'll go next and you two follow."
"Gotcha." Goofy gave a salute to him before he descends. "Hmm, I wonder what could be down there?"
"Who knows, this was a surprise to hear about this and maybe know more about the islands." Donald pondered and in thought.
"Sorry I'm late Donald, I just stopped by for a smoothie." Just then a second Goofy walked into the cave, startling Donald of seeing double. "Hey, who's your friend? Seems oddly familiar."
"Say nice hat."
"A-hyuck! Thanks."
Donald looked at the two back and forth, thinking he was seeing double. But when Goofy turned to think, the first Goofy reached for his hat and pulled down what looked to be a zipper. Revealing himself as the Aracuan Bird in disguise.
Donald recognized him instantly and tries to warn Goofy. "Goofy! It's him!"
"It's who?" Goofy turned to his attention when Donald tried to point his finger, only for the bird to vanished. "Say, where did that fella go?"
"It was that stupid bird!" Donald tries to tell him.
"Gawsh, I don't see him. You must be imagining things." But right behind him was the bird, waving to the Donald without Goofy noticing him. Before he could try and warn his friend, the bird drew a circle on the wall and pushed it like a button. Activating a trapdoor beneath the two, only Goofy remained oblivious until a few seconds after standing mid-air. Donald tried to run but was too late when gravity took hold of them and fell right in.
"GAAH-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOEY!"
"SQUUEEEAACCKK!"
Falling straight to the ground until they made a rough landing to the bottom. But they soon discover to have landed on Sora on his front when he was not so quick enough to move.
"Ugh, this brings back memories." Sora groaned and pulls himself out with Donald jumps off, dusting themselves from the fall. "What happened?"
"We had no idea, suddenly we were standing perfectly and then fell." Goofy explained to them but didn't know what happened.
"I told you! It was that crazy bird that did it!" Donald jumped to make them believe him.
"Well, there couldn't be something or someone up there." Riku thought Donald was imagining things but didn't take the time to hear the duck continue and focus on their surroundings. "But what is this place? It must be huge."
Cid found something with his flashlight and saw some sort of inscriptions. "I ain't no historian or archaeologist, but something tells me this place was dug up and left sealed for a long time. They reached out to the walls to feel their way around but more they explored the place, it became clear to be some sort of vault or hidden archive by the preserved casings of weapons, armor, even books and artworks without any dust on them.
Tifa took a closer look and found something familiar about them. "Guys is it me or do these look awfully like…"
"Keyblades?" Sora finished her sentence and had the same conclusion.
"To think this was hidden under the islands this whole time." Riku was awed and saw the impressive work on them. "Hey, I think I found a switch." Goofy helped him find some orb on the wall that suddenly illuminated and caused all the lantern lights to lid up for the halls to get a good look at the place better. Much bigger than expected.
"Ok, this is bigger then I thought." Sora was awed.
"Hey, check this out!" They hear Cid call out to them as he was looking at some pictures, almost something of people. "This must be an archive of a civilization long past."
"You think this was something they built before they vanished?" Goofy thought.
Tifa turned to Sora and Riku for possible answers. "Hey, you guys know of the islands, didn't your people have any history to this place?"
"Not very much, we were told that the first settlers came to the islands centuries ago. It was all bit of a mystery but never took notice." Riku didn't know why but feels this could be related to the discovery of a possible lost history. "Think we should get someone with extensive knowledge of this and keep the cave under watch."
Sora agreed and much as he wanted to know more but they had no idea what was in here. "Ok, let's close it up, for now, getting late out here and perhaps ask Merlin for help with Yen Sid away." He thought of what Taren be doing at Magix and hope he's doing well.
"Why not look into the vids they sent us. It will show how they're doing." Tifa told him and couldn't wait to see how stronger the kids have grown.
Auradon
Auradon, home to many known heroes and villains from various countries when they were once small separate fragments caused by the rise of Heartless and the previous Keyblade War before the current heroes, but since his defeat and Kingdom Hearts restored, the world was restored to its natural state like many others. Prince Adam and his new wife Belle who became royals proposed the idea to support the Keyblade wielders and gathered leaders and royals together to form a union for mutual trust and friendship, while also making sure to stand ready for any new threat to emerge in the future to protect the current Princesses of Hearts. For having such an idea, many proposed that the couple be elected as the first leaders of the newly made United States of Auradon. It has prospered for many years despite the new laws of limiting the use of magic so that the next generation could find their talent instead of relying on magic unless used for selfless causes and being a Keyblade wielder. Not many welcomed the idea but only a few to ensure the past events cannot be repeated and hoping the future generations learn from them and formed an alliance with the Coalition of Gaia with Radiant Garden and Destiny Islands as the main supporters for all the time they helped each other in the past.
The Fairy godmother was made in charge of overseeing the usage of magic and find out those who may be a potential wielder of the keyblades alongside Merlin and Yen Sid to ensure the balance maintains. They rounded up the surviving villains and sent them to the penal colony known as the Isle of the Lost to serve their sentence but allowed to visit the House of Mouse in Disney Castle to least provide them entertainment.
But after years of peace, Auradon was unexpectedly attacked by a horde of creatures similar to the Heartless known as the Grimm led by a mastermind known as Tezzeret until they were called off and word of Prince Ben making a leave, some rumors claim he was on a quest to hunt down the villain or sent someplace safely to secure the line of the throne. But in truth, only his parents and close friends knew the truth and not share it in case of spies, and pray for his safe return one day when the crisis is over.
It was early morning as the staff were up and preparing breakfast for the king and queen, Cogsworth was up about to ensure everything was done well for the king and queen. "Hmhm, very good. Make certain the fruit is fresh, her majesty would want some on this fine day. COuld use one myself after being turned into a clock, again." Was annoyed that someone turned him into an object back when everyone in the castle was cursed years ago but thankfully restored to his human self. Knowing the king and queen would need worried sick of their son, even he fears for young prince Ben's safety of the monsters.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
He heard a knock on the front door, curious to wonder and decided to find out. Making his way straight to the door to see who it is. "Yes?" But when he sees who it was, no one in sight. Puzzled and couldn't be some prank at this time of morning and closed the door. "Strange." But suddenly stops to see a strange pink feathered bird in a white shirt stood before him. The bird handed him a parcel in hand, once giving he waves and opens a trapdoor below and jumps in, the supposed exit was gone with a bewildered majordomo. "What a bizarre creature."
"Someone at the door, Cogsworth?" Turns to see Lumière.
"Some sort of parcel." Possibly a good idea not to say anything about a strange bird. "Hmm, I wonder who could..." They see the name and both gasped, without a word the two ran in a frantic state going from the stairs and straight towards the bedroom door and banged against it.
"Your majesties! your majesties!"
"Urgent news for you!"
They could hear some groaning coming from the bedroom.
"Guys, can it wait?"
"Even royalty need rest."
"But we have a parcel, your highness." Cogsworth called out.
"Yes! It's from young Benjamin!" Lumière added.
The moment they mention Ben's name, they hear a lot of noises and the door to see Belle, still beautiful after all these years as her husband who had his hair shortened and also fit. The mother reached out to grab the parcel to open it up, never bothered to see the shredded mess to see something from their son after all these months. They find a book and a disc with his name on it.
"Is it?" Adam wanted to be certain.
"It is. This is his writing." Belle knew for certain as she looked into the notes to easily see her son's handwriting on it. She looked at her friends. "Get a DVD player, anything to get this on, we need to see it." Not needed to be told twice and scrambled to get one for them. The parents opened the letter to read what was written
Hey, Mom. Hi, dad. If your getting this message it means you know we're doing ok, I know its been ages and miss you guys very much. Been looking after myself and got the hang of using the keyblade thanks to master Yen Sid and another named Macbeth, tough but fair to us to ensure we be strong enough to handle the roles. Taren and I have been helping each other. He's been getting real good at his been taking some training to be as good as his dad, guess having a dream about being a hero really did come true... only if it hadn't been for the Grimm. And a new member of the trio named Mal, she's something different among others, she and Taren seem to have this sibling bond over how they always argue and cause mischief towards each other since we met. But deep down she's really someone that's looking for a purpose in life and isn't so bad once you get to know her. Amazing skills of magic and plants.
Since we arrived in Magix, its been really amazing and all sorts of places, we haven't had a chance to explore the worlds yet but been trained at one of the main schools known as Red Fountain, me and Taren are there while Mal is studying in Cloud Tower, but also to keep a lookout for some witches who are associating with Tezzeret. But made plenty of friends here and Genie came to help which a surprise for us to see a familiar face.
I'll see you soon and get in touch soon.
Ben Florian.
Reading through it made Belle struggle to hold back tears in joy that their son was doing well and doing fine, Adam gently embraces her and gave a handkerchief and blew it. "Oh, Adam, I just wish to see our boy again and hug him tight."
"I know, but he's not a little boy anymore. He's growing up, and good to hear he's doing great." Giving his wife the support and feeling proud of their son. "Cid sent a message to say they'll get the gate running soon, so we'll know they'll have support." He takes the letter from her hands and reads further when he found something of interest. "Oh, and seems here says, he never had the chance to tell us that he broke up with Audrey before ."
Hearing this somewhat made Belle's mood a little better. "Oh, that... well, that would explain the reason for her mood in the past few days. But honestly, I didn't want to say this in front of Ben, but I never liked her as being so self-absorbed and that fake smile whenever she comes to greet us." Clearly shown she was not so fond of the princess since she dated her son, easily tell by the way she kisses up to them just one of those seeking popularity and personal gain. Never wondered how she's the daughter of Aurora, one of the sweetest and kindest people she's known other than for being the of the seven purest hearts of light. Now eager to see the DVD and see the stuff recorded on his adventures. There was a photo that slipped out of the package and caught their attention, held it up and show their son with the Beast Within in his hands alongside Taren holding his own, they noticed he's grown much, wearing a long jacket with a blue, brown and dark color theme. But the girl in the purple fashion they figured must be this Mal he's spoken about and shown to have a casual manner but attractive features.
"Oh, so this must be her then." Belle got a good look at her and couldn't help but wonder if something was going on and interested to find out what he's been doing over the past year.
"It'll be a story worth hearing." The king was eager to find out and know about the friends he's made and maybe possible heroic deeds he's done.
Cid was on his computer when he received an unexpected message from a source of origin he never expected. "Guess, you not gonna believe this but just got a message... from the Magic Dimension."
"What? Are you sure?" Leon wanted to be sure he heard him right. "Does this mean we got a connection at last?"
"That and also a message from the kid seems to be for his parents too."
Aerith was present and glad to hear a member of her family still safe. "That's wonderful, Sora and Kairi will be thrilled to hear this."
Many agreed with her and no doubt they will. "Yeah, and also to prepare ourselves, we no idea what will happen but until something comes up we'll send in the cavalry. Sending the message to Destiny Island now." Cid got to work on transferring the data over and looked into the message from Yen Sid. "Huh, another from Yen Sid for some data."
Leon watched him work his talent and brought up another subject to ask. "Hey, any word from Ansem?"
"Saying some sort of research he's working on, something that may come to a big help for the kids. Whatever it is they're working on, I bet it be something big but." Unable to know what Ansem the Wise and his former apprentices were working on but could be top-secret to keep hidden from him to know or even Tron.
To my aunts Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, I know I'm not the most... open to express my feelings but hoping you are well. Don't worry, I'm staying out of trouble, well not saying can't fool around with people. Anyway back on the subject, been learning new magic as being a student of (not my choice) Cloud Tower. Yeah, it a school for witches but not saying I like to be them, just a bunch of teens acting so spoiled and think they're better. Only as a disguise to keep a low profile with some very nasty bunch I like to stay far from for the time being. Anyway, believe it or not, made some friends and one witch who is different from the others than expected. Can't risk revealing her name in case this gets found, but will perhaps introduce you to them.
I briefly fought Tezzeret, and to be honest, was scared. Scared by how powerful he was and something about his magic put me off, not sure why but going to find out eventually. Anyway, not want people to know this and like to keep it to myself so wanna say thanks for taking care of me all these years, even if I was a handful, and... sorry for making the mishaps happened during the studying magic. And that time turning the house purple just for a laugh. (There I wrote/said it)
So far I knew a few well. Ben? he's... interesting, not something expected for a prince to take action but shows good character for a keyblade user, and nice enough to get along. I mean, not sure why always seems to be easier to bond.
For Taren, well, annoying, someone who irritates me and slowly think of as a brother. An ANNOYING, brother who you just gotta annoy, tease and get on his nerves to pass the boredom. But he started it first!
Some fairies in Alfea I met, this princess named Stella being all fashion obsessive but often supports her friends. Musa who loves music and parties. Tecna, not much but a tech wiz and same to this nerd in Red Fountain. Flora, she can control and manipulate plants as I do but different, so have something in common. Plus I think she has a thing for someone as by rumor. But noticed how their names seem to fit for their abilities, either that or just a coincidence. And finally, Bloom, and get this an Earth Fairy, from what I know of they were said to have vanished centuries ago. But she might be, just think of the Gargoyles who were fought to be extinct and thriving as ever! But something about her is off, and I mean WAY off by her magic. (Also appears to be Taren's crush LOL just don't let him know I wrote this!)
No one knows about my heritage, but the magic I have and... well a brief moment of knowing about my abilities extended further than ever after the encounter with Chaos. So, see ya. P.S. if you see any other kids from the orphanage, tell them I hope they're ok and will see you, hopefully.
The fairies who received the letter took word for word and couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotions over how much she's changed. "Oh, dear Mal, she's come along way and knew she had great potential when we laid eyes on her." Flora folded the paper to see the other two, Fauna wiping her eyes.
"I'm so happy to hear from her doing well and making friends." Blowing into the piece of cloth to wipe her nose.
Merryweather had been silent until she spoke up. "Well, if you ask me, sending her to Macbeth for training was the right call. I mean, she may have been a trouble maker... and always... makes up for it afterward." Not wanting to reveal how she was missing her too. "I, guess she's got everything her mother doesn't. Thank heavens for that. If only Aurora's daughter would've been less spoiled."
Fauna sighs. "Oh, sometimes I feel perhaps it could've worked if she just tries to be nice then live off the luxuries." Finds a handful photos to show Mal with some teens, possibly to be the girls she mentioned. And found one with her in a dress and dancing with Ben. "Oh, ladies look! She's wearing the dress we made! Aww, isn't she gorgeous?"
"I knew purple to be a thing for her. And she's actually smiling." Flora found it adorable and knew it, and the way she was smiling at Ben with the pair dancing. "Well, it seems the prince shows an interest in her."
Fauna and Merryweather agreed but came another subject. "But, what if they find out she's the daughter of... you-know-who?"
"I fear it'll not stay secret for long, but remember we've been there for her since the day she was a bundle of joy. We are among a handful who knows this." Flora reminded them and wanting to show her support.
"And if those horrible monsters go after her, she'll not be so easily swayed by them to be wicked." Merryweather vowed.
"First we must meet the wizards and gather some information about Tezzeret as possible, Mal was able to send some information in this letter so it should perhaps provide answers. They dearly miss her and hoping she will return once the mission was done, and provide support for her as they can.
Kairi was looking through the photos and studied them close, show ing her son having a good time and taking care of himself well, the letter he wrote and could not wait to see what they have in the disc of their adventures. But there was something that made him different were the eyes, instead of their natural blue, they were orange/amber or something close to it. Not certain what made them different but according to Yen Sid he went through some sort of minor change that tirggered something when inheriting his keyblade. Holding up a letter from him and reads it when she hears something by the door.
"Mom?"
Startled and looked to see her young daughter, Hana, a young pre-teen but a growing girl with auburn hair with some darker red highlights and has it in a pigtail on the side. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. Just wondered where everyone is."
"Oh, your father is with Riku and the others checking something out. But got a letter from your brother." Hana rushed to the table to see them.
"Wow! It is him! And he's got a keyblade?" She couldn't believe it when she was told about it until now. "Least he's ok, really miss him."
Kairi sighs and shared her daughter's concern for him. "I know, but if he's just like his father, then he'll make his promise to come back."
"Or try to keep himself far away from being grounded." Hana added and looked at the photos and grins upon seeing one that caught her attention. "Ooh, who's this?" Pointing to a redhaired girl in a blue dress
"That's what I want to find out myself but here's his letter." Held it up to read it.
Dear Mom, Dad, and Hana
Hopefully, this letter's gotten to ya and sorry for being so late... by a year, and no doubt I'll be grounded if something happens. But anyway, just glad to know you're all safe and ok. Just never thought I actually become a keyblade wielder like you guys and also being whisked away to some adventures just how dad started his. Been training hard and looking after myself, fortunately, have Ben to help, and even Genie who showed up, but the third wielder to show up was a girl named Mal, possibly some witch. She's... well sometimes ok with, but a pain in the butt! She drives me crazy at times! But apart from that, she's ok to hang out with and trusting person to help.
Anyways, wish I could've spent my birthday with you but hoping this vid will makeup and made new friends, and also staying out of trouble as you would've wanted. We've not been to many worlds yet, just been stuck on Magix and learned some things but hoping to see some worlds to explore one day, a lot of people said good deeds about you and the others, but have no idea that my parents are one of them. Boy, wait til' they find out :)
Not sure what Tezzeret is planning but after some ancient magic called the Dragon's Flame, and if he gets his hands on it, could spell trouble for both the Magic Dimension and our worlds. He's got some allies with him, three annoying witches who cause trouble and some sort of creature.
But strange thing since coming to Magix was these weird dreams, people by the look of them with strange keyblade weapons. Some drawings I made sent to you and maybe someone might know what they mean. But here's a copied pages from the journal I made with all the known Grimm we fought so far, not certain how many there are or if any you faced, but hoping to see you all soon and be home safely.
Wish me luck, Taren Strife.
Kairi gave a warm smile to know he was going to do what Sora would have to face this evil and come home, knowing she'd be proud of him but worry for his safety as a mother. It couldn't help that knowing if he wasn't chosen, Taren would still do what he can to help. "Just like his father."
"Mom, these drawings are the ones he mentioned, right?" Hana held up a page with some Grimm, one being a scorpion with written notes about it.
Kairi looked at it and studied the design of the creature drawn by Taren. "That's it, we should give these to the others when they come back and know more." And also to find out what he meant by strange dreams on the note, there were other pages of sketches with faces she was unfamiliar with unless it had something to do with that underground vault. They have a lot of work to do and prepare for the events to happen. She needed to have her family together and not face the dangers alone this time.
Hope you all enjoyed it, will have the vids made later in the story and will work on the next chapter set in Gardenia, be some ideas I have in mind for it. So decided to show some work on the characters' friends and families and how they were coping, revealing Mal being raised by the fairies and the relationship between them was like as being aunts to her and a little more of Mal's childhood, introducing Hana who is another OC I created and slightly based her design of Serah Farron, Lightning's sister but different to avoid the confusion.
And now it seems Belle is curious to know about Mal. Boy, will this be fun. So next one on the works. Reviews and critics are welcomed, ideas included!
