The Key Wish
Chapter 4: The Decision
Xion: "I'm here…to help my friends."
The Son family continued to look at Xion in response to her answer, although it was enough of an answer, all of them could tell there was more to the story.
Goku: "Wait, are your friends in danger? Are they here?" Goku asks with concern. Xion shook her head in response in the hopes of calming him down.
Xion: "No. They aren't here and I don't think they are in trouble." Xion replied. Chi-Chi, interested in the conversation, walked over to the table and sat down to join in the discussion.
Chi-Chi: "I think you need to start from the beginning Xion. Why do you need to help your friends?" Chi-Chi asked. Xion looked at all three members of the family and gave a heavy sigh.
Xion: "Ok, before I tell you exactly why I'm here, I need to tell you a bit about me." She began. "Remember when Goku thought this coat protected me?" The family nodded in response. "Well, that's because these coats are specially designed for durability in battle and stealth missions. These coats are only given to members of a secret group of people called "Organization XIII" Xion explained in half truth.
Chi-Chi: "Organization XIII? Who are they?" Chi-Chi wondered.
Xion: "Well that's hard to really say. They're a group of people who dream of…well…being whole once again. Xion replies hesitantly. "You see, each member has lost something important at some point in their life, but because of it they work hard and train hard to reclaim whatever it was they lost. They recruit members who have been turned away by the world offering them a new purpose in life and while a select few truly join their ranks, they still take in all people they choose to join their cause." Xion explained.
Gohan: "You said you were…once a member?" Gohan asked.
Chi-Chi: "If you said each member was someone who lost someone really important, what did you lose?" She asked.
Xion: "Well, I guess you could say I was born into the Organization. They didn't truly recruit me as the others, but I was still able to join their ranks as Number Fourteen." She replied.
Goku: "Wait, now I'm confused. If they're called Organization XIII and you were member number fourteen, shouldn't it be called "Organization XIV" instead?" Goku wondered.
Chi-Chi: "Does that really matter Goku?!" Chi-Chi yelled, causing Goku to wave his hands defensively while apologizing. "Please continue, Xion."
Xion: "Uhh…thanks." Xion said with a nervous chuckle. "I was a member for almost a year when I realized that they didn't keep me for the reasons I thought. Instead I found out they were using me as a puppet for their own agendas. They wanted me to eliminate all their enemies for their plans to progress." Xion said thinking about The Heartless and Kingdom Hearts. "They were also making sure that while I got stronger in my days with them, the only person who could stop them was getting weaker." She continued thinking about her draining of Roxas' powers while stopping Sora's awakening.
Chi-Chi: "What a horrible thing to do." Chi-Chi hissed.
Goku: "These guys sound just as bad as the Red Ribbon Army!" Goku said with a hint of anger.
Xion: "But…it wasn't all that bad." Xion said with a soft smile on her face. That got the attention of The Son Family, snapping them out of their angered thoughts. "During those days I met two of the most amazing people in the organization. They soon became my best friends. I met Roxas during a joint mission together, and the next day he took me out for some Sea-Salt Ice Cream upon completing our mission. Then I met Axel some time after that, I was in some trouble back then and I couldn't get my job done. That's when he suggested that me and Roxas do our missions together so nobody would know I couldn't complete them until I had the means to do so again." Xion explained.
Hearing the explanations of her friends and their sense of kindness washed away most of the feeling of animosity for the organization from Goku and Chi-Chi, as evident from the soft smiles on their faces.
Xion: "The funny thing is, I actually see a bit of both of them within you, Goku." Xion said looking at the orange clad man.
Goku: "Wait, me? How so?" Goku wondered while pointing at himself. Chi-Chi had to admit, she was interested too.
Xion: "Well, Axel always acted like he was the mature one but he definitely wasn't above silly antics. He's like the silly big brother that just tries to make everyone around him smile. As for Roxas, he enjoys things going at an easy pace but he's always reliable and adaptable whenever things are in a pinch. I don't know why but I guess I see those qualities within you too." She explained while looking through her memories of them together just to prove her point. Goku just sat there rubbing the back of his and chuckled as if he'd just been praised.
Chi-Chi: "Hmmm, while I can see your point Xion, I have to say he acts more like Axel than Roxas." Chi-Chi joked. "But Goku is definitely reliable when things get dire, so I guess Goku and Roxas do have that in common." She continued. Goku continued to chuckle until he stopped when he realized something.
Goku: "Wait, are these friends the ones you want to help?" He asked, remembering the importance of this conversation. Xion nodded shortly after.
Xion: "Yes. You see, when I found out their purpose for me, I left the organization in the hopes of making things right. But in order for that to happen, I needed to make sure the organization couldn't follow me so I did the one thing that would ensure that." Xion explains. The family looked at Xion with anticipation, though her answer was beyond what they thought. "In order to make sure they didn't catch on to me, I had to fake my death and I used Roxas to do it." She finished with sadness in her voice.
The Son Family was shocked upon this revelation. The girl who seemed so sincere escaped from a bad group of people by using her friend to fake her death. They just couldn't believe what they heard but it sounded too sincere to be a lie.
Xion: "I wish with all my heart that it didn't have to be him, but it had to be Roxas to be the one who finished me off, otherwise the organization might not have believed it." She continued thinking back on the battle between her and Roxas in Twilight Town.
Chi-Chi: "Xion…that's just…wow." Chi-Chi says hesitantly, finding it difficult to say the right words for her situation.
Goku: "Was there really no other way?" Goku asked. Xion simply shook her head without another word. "So, what now?" He asked.
Xion: "After the fight, I was rescued by a friend named Abby", she gave me a task to find this world's champion and ask him to train me to get stronger. Strong enough to fight against the organization and help my friends. She told me he would be dressed in orange and if I could not find him, I should look for a boy with a monkey-like tail." She explains. Her attention focused now on Goku, looking him straight in the eye. "Would it be fair to ask if you are this world's champion Goku?" She asked.
Goku: "Well, that's a tough one. I did help save the Earth from King Piccolo when I was a kid and as for the "world's champion" thing I did win the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament so I guess I am a champion of some sort. So maybe I fit the bill." He said.
Chi-Chi: "So let me see if I got this right. You came all the way out here after leaving an evil organization just to ask my husband if he can train you to fight against the same organization you left." Chi-Chi summarized.
Xion: "I would understand if you said no. Despite everything I'm still a stranger to you who just showed up out of nowhere. But all I ask is for Goku to help train me, I'm not asking him to join me because this is my battle, but I can't fight as I am now so I need help. If you say no then I ask you to please point me to anyone else you know who will." Xion said.
Goku looked at Chi-Chi, with the latter catching on and staring at her husband. Chi-Chi gets up from her chair and whispers to Goku's ear. Goku nods his head quickly and gets up from his chair as well.
Chi-Chi: "Xion, this is a lot to unpack all at once so we need time to discuss this. Can you please wait here until we come up with an answer? She asked.
Xion: "Sure, I can wait." Xion replied, nodding. With her answer, Goku and Chi-Chi walked to their bedroom to discuss things further, leaving Xion and Gohan all alone in the room. They both stared at each other occasionally feeling the awkward tension between them. "You know, Gohan, if I'm making you uncomfortable I can go outside if you want." She said, looking away from Gohan trying to calm his shy nature.
Gohan: "No, please don't." He simply said, looking away from Xion. Gohan believed this was the best way to talk to her without being nervous. "I just get shy around new people, but I don't want you to go because of me." He continued. Xion gave a short chuckle.
Xion: "Ok, I won't." She said, still looking away from him. "Can we still ask each other questions?" She asked.
Gohan: "Ok. What do you want to ask me?" He says.
Xion: "Hmmm, what are you afraid of?" Xion asked with a smile. Surprised by this question he looked back at Xion and saw she was still looking away, gazing out the window.
Gohan: "Well, I'm scared of a lot of things. The world is scary without my mom and dad." Gohan responded.
Xion: "What is the one thing you care about more than anything else?" Xion continued, thinking back to her answers from when Abby asked her the same three questions when they first met.
Gohan: "Well…I guess my mom and dad. They mean everything to me and I feel safe around them." Gohan replied, little did he know this caused Xion's smile to grow a bit wider.
Xion: "Gohan, what do you wish?" She asks, indicating it to the last question. Gohan thought long and hard to think of an answer.
Gohan: "I…I don't know. I know my mom wants me to be a scholar and my daddy wants me to be a fighter, but I don't know what I want." He replied, looking down at the floor.
Xion: "Oh…I see. Well then, I guess we'll have to get back to that question someday, when I'm sure you'll have the answer you're looking for." Xion said, turning around and smiling at him.
Gohan: "Are you sure?" He asked looking back at Xion.
Xion: "I'm sure." She assured him, continuing to wear her smile. It wasn't long after that Goku and Chi-Chi came out of the bedroom and walked back to the kitchen. They saw the two back to back and were impressed how their shy son was slowly opening up to this one stranger.
Chi-Chi: "Xion, we've thought about this decision long and hard thinking about everything you said. While I do understand your situation, I'm afraid I can't let Goku train you." Chi-Chi said while folding her arms. Xion's smile dropped and looked down at the floor. "...at least not yet." She said out of the blue. Xion quickly looked up to her in surprise.
"Well, I did say you shouldn't fight until you're all fixed up, this also goes for training. So until you're all better, you will NOT be training under my Goku any time soon." Chi-Chi said, now wearing her own smile. Goku on the other hand was wearing a wide grin.
Xion quickly ran up to the both of them and held one of their hands into her own filled with joy.
Xion: "Goku, Chi-Chi, thank you!" She said with joyous gratitude while shaking both of their hands. Goku and Chi-Chi chuckled at the young girl's excitement and gratitude while looking at each other.
Goku: "Don't worry about it, Xion. Wouldn't really be nice to turn you down after you went through the trouble of coming all this way." Goku said assuringly. Xion let go of their hands and looked at the both of them happily, they may have just met in a single day but they act like they've been friends for years.
Chi-Chi: "Oh! Speaking of, where have you been staying this whole time? When I looked in your bag I saw some provisions like you were ready for camping. Have you been sleeping outside the whole search?" Chi-Chi asked.
Xion: "No, I haven't thankfully. I found a cabin a couple of days ago and slept there while I searched for Goku. It wasn't really mine, but it showed it hasn't been used in a while and while I didn't like the idea of taking things that aren't mine, I need to have at least some water to keep my strength up. But other than that, I left it the way it was." Xion replied.
Chi-Chi: "Hmm, while I may not like the idea of you using someone else's cabin without their permission, I guess you didn't really have much of a choice. It was either that or sleeping outside and that might have been really bad. As long as you're honest about only taking a couple of bottles of water." Chi-Chi said with a small hint of sterness.
Goku: "Well, it sounds like you don't have anywhere else to stay. How about she stays with us Chi-Chi?" Goku suggested. Chi-Chi, Gohan, and Xion all look at Goku after hearing this question. "Well it wouldn't be good to have you use someone else's cabin and if you stay with us, we don't have to waste any time waiting for you to arrive to get training. Also Chi-Chi can check on your injuries daily and let us know when you have the ok." Goku said, holding a thumbs up.
Xion had to admit, as much as she didn't want to be of any trouble to them besides asking for training, it was a good point and an effective suggestion. Chi-Chi especially was surprised at her husband's idea, while Goku was a strong fighter, he never usually thought that far ahead or at least he doesn't show it a lot.
Chi-Chi: "Goku, I like the idea but where exactly is she supposed to sleep? This house was built for a small family and while Gohan's room was no problem since he was a baby, Xion's looks to be in her teen years and it'll take time to get her room built and set up." Chi-Chi pointed out.
Goku: "...Oh. I didn't think about that part." Goku said sheepishly with a chuckle. Chi-Chi however fell over in a comical fashion, Gohan stared at his dad in confusion, while Xion just stared at Chi-Chi's reaction having never seen it before. "Hey, I know! My grandpa's house, she can sleep there! There's lots of room for one person to stay, and it's just outside our house." Goku suggested with a fist in his hand as he thought of the idea.
Chi-Chi: "Good idea, Goku. It'll take some time to get the webs and dust out but it should be enough to help you sleep through the night comfortably. If you don't mind, that is Xion." Chi-Chi said.
Xion: "No, it's a good idea, so let's do it." She replied. Goku held a smile knowing his idea wasn't turned down and a bit happy knowing someone he knew was a good person would be staying where his grandfather lived for so many years.
Chi-Chi: "Alright, the hut isn't going to clean itself up, I'd better get to work. Goku, why don't you show Xion around Mount Paozu, show her the sights and all. I can take care of the cleaning faster myself and I can call my father and ask him to bring a clean mattress and box spring." Chi-Chi said.
Goku: "Are you sure, Chi-Chi? I can help with the cleaning so it can go faster, or are you still mad about last time?" Goku asked.
Chi-Chi: "No this isn't about last time, I just want you to show her the sights in case we need her to go to a certain location by herself and it helps if she knew the lay of the land like we do." Chi-Chi replied.
Goku: "Oh, ok then. When you put it like that it's hard to say no, I'll show her the sights. I should show her the city too in that case, that way she can see all sorts of sights and not just Mount Paozu." He said brimming with confidence.
Chi-Chi: "Goku, she may have come to Mount Paozu on her own but I think she should at least know the city by now." Chi-Chi said with doubt.
Xion: "Actually, if you don't mind, I would like to see the city too. This is my first time…well anywhere here exactly." Xion said. This honestly surprised Chi-Chi to hear as it seems Xion's never even heard of West City. Chi-Chi answered those thoughts by thinking that Xion may have come from another region.
Goku: "Well, that settles that then. You go ahead and call your dad, and I'll show Xion around." Goku said. With a nod from Chi-Chi and a wave from Gohan, Goku exited the house with Xion not far behind him. "FLYING NIMBUS!" Goku yelled to the sky. Xion was understandably confused as to why this man shouted to the sky for what appeared to be no reason, this doubt soon faded away as she saw a yellow cloud fly down from the sky and seemed to park itself in front of Goku, though this brought up even more confusion than before.
Xion: "We're…traveling by cloud? I didn't know you could even ride clouds, let alone travel with them." Xion said, examining the hovering cloud in wonder and confusion.
Goku: "It's called "The Flying Nimbus", I learned about them from my teacher Master Roshi when he gave it to me when I was a kid, but that one got destroyed by an old enemy. But another one of my masters helped me get a new one, this one. They can only be ridden by those pure of heart, so if you're not, you'll just fall right through it." Goku explained.
Xion chuckled to herself, not at the explanation but at principle how to ride the Nimbus, for it sounded just like the vehicle version of a keyblade. Xion took a deep breath and jumped onto the nimbus. She nearly lost her balance because she was expecting to fall through the cloud, which was not the end result. Xion looked down and was surprised to find herself standing on the cloud in question.
Goku: "Well the cloud doesn't lie, you're pure hearted alright!" Goku cheered, closing his eyes, baring his cheeky grin. Xion was still a little surprised at the fact she was riding the Flying Nimbus. She thought the reason could be because she was probably from another realm and the cloud couldn't tell if she was pure hearted or not, or maybe Goku was right. Xion sat down on the cloud with Goku sitting behind her.
"Alright Nimbus, this is our new friend Xion. This is her first time here so let's show her around Mount Paozu." Goku said to the cloud. The Nimbus cloud took off to the sky upon Goku's words. Xion saw this form of sentience as possibly the same kind of sentient magic that the keyblade has.
The cloud took them nearly all over Mount Paozu with Goku telling her information about the spots he uses in the said area, from where he trains, the lake where he fishes, to the part of the forest where he occasionally hunts for dinosaur meat. The tour eventually took them to a large crater that the Nimbus went to a few days ago.
Goku: "This is where a shooting star landed. Me and my son saw it a few days ago while we were fishing at the lake, so we got Chi-Chi and left to search for it. We didn't find it in the end though and just assumed someone else took it, but it was a good family trip so it wasn't a wasted effort at least. Goku said, explaining the crater.
Xion: "Really? That's uh…that's pretty cool. I must've missed it somehow while I was looking for you." Xion said nervously, knowing full well it wasn't a shooting star that made the crater, it was her when Abby "dropped her off" on Earth.
Goku: "Now that I've shown you around Mount Paozu, let me show you West City." Goku said behind Xion. Xion turned around and nodded her head at Goku before facing in front of her again, the Flying Nimbus then took off towards West City. Xion had seen a lot of sights and worlds before, but never had she once seen the world through such fast motion before without the sense of danger, she can just relax and take in the sights while feeling the wind brush across her.
They eventually arrive in a large city with a combination of flat and around topped buildings, lots of people walking across bridges and no shortage of cars in constant motion.
Goku: "This is West City. Pretty big huh?" Goku said, though Xion wasn't paying attention. Xion had indeed seen larger city areas like Twilight Town and The World That Never Was, but they didn't look anything like West City, West City appeared more futuristic and more populated. "My friend Bulma lives here, I think you two would be great friends when you meet her." he continued.
Xion: "Then why don't we go see her?" Xion asked. After a moment of silence, she looked at Goku and saw he was in deep thought. He soon looked at her and shook his head.
Goku: "Nah, I can't. I promised we'd all meet up with her and some other friends at Master Roshi's place in two weeks. I think it'd be better to see them again that way, besides you'd not only get to meet her, but the others too." He said. Xion nodded her head in understanding. "But I do know someone you can meet. He won't be coming to the reunion and he's a really nice guy, so I think you'd like him." Goku continued.
Xion: "Ok then, let's go say hi." She said before looking straight ahead of her.
Goku: "Nimbus, take us to Master Korin." He said to the Nimbus. Without hesitation, The Flying Nimbus then sped its way to Goku's requested destination.
After some time of flying, Xion begins to see a circular building with the bottom half being held by a long pillar. The Nimbus arrived at the bottom of the staircase with Goku jumping off, followed shortly after. Xion looked over the guardrail and saw how high up they were, she'd be lying if she wasn't a little scared of the distance between the height they were on and the ground below. She eventually heard Goku walk up the stairs and followed him. As she was climbing, she noticed Goku talking to someone.
Goku: "Hey Master Korin. It's good to see you again." Goku greeted while waving his hand at someone.
Korin: "Ah, hello Goku. It's been a few years since I've last seen you, my boy. How have you been?" Korin greets his old student. Xion didn't know what he looked like yet, but could tell by the sound of his voice he was both wise and kind just like Goku said he was, though this led up to some nervousness from Xion.
Goku: "I've been well. I've been living over at Mount Paozu with my wife Chi-Chi and my son, Gohan. Things have been nice and peaceful ever since the battle with Piccolo." Goku said. "I've also made a new friend recently, she's really nice and polite. I've brought her to meet you." He looks to Xion and then back at Korin. "Master Korin, meet Xion."
Xion reaches the top of the stairs and finds not a human, but a small sized white cat with shut eyes. He stands on two legs like a human, yet carries a brown staff behind him. Xion didn't question his appearance after seeing the likes of living carpet, a walking talking candelabra, and even complimenting Dusk Nobodies.
Xion: "Hello Master Korin. My name is Xion, it's really nice to meet you." She greeted him with a small hint of nervousness in her voice. Korin bowed shortly after before looking back at her.
Korin: "Pleased to meet you my dear, and there is no need to call me "Master Korin". Goku has already surpassed my teachings and I am proud to call him my friend. So please, Korin is just fine for you to call me." He offered her a handshake which she accepted, wiping away any trace of nervousness. "Though I must say I am a bit surprised. Normally when people meet me for the first time, they are quite surprised by my appearance. Did Goku happen to tell you of my appearance?" Korin asked.
Xion: "No, he didn't tell me much about you other than you were a kind person, I assume he was looking forward to seeing my reaction." Xion said looking at Goku, who just shut his eyes and grins again. "But the truth is, I've seen plenty of odd things in my life and talking creatures I didn't think was possible, so seeing a walking talking cat as a Master doesn't surprise me at all." She assures. Korin nods his head in understanding, before examining her closely.
Goku: "I told you, she's nice and polite. She's also strong enough to go toe to toe with a large bear, it's how she helped out my son. I think that's also the reason why she could fly The Flying Nimbus" Goku said, making Xion blush a bit at his praise.
Korin: "I see…strong, kind, and pure of heart. You are just like Goku when he was a boy, though instead of cluelessness and loyalty, you seem to have both politeness and humbleness. All wonderful traits in a warrior, which is why I can see why The Flying Nimbus chose to let you ride it." Korin said. Xion was blushing a little harder at all this praise, she almost began to hide her face. "Tell me my dear, how did you protect Goku's boy? I can sense an interesting power within you. I don't think I've felt anything of the sort, yet it feels welcoming." He asked.
Goku: "I was wondering about that myself actually. I felt it earlier when we shook hands back at the house, but I didn't want to bring it up." Goku said, nodding to Korin's observation. Xion looked at the both of them after feeling her embarrassment erase, seeing the interest on their faces and gave a sigh.
Xion: "Well, it might not be my power per say that you're sensing, but something else entirely." She said, rubbing the back of her head. Goku and Korin looked at her in confusion as to what she meant. "It's more so…this thing's power." She said holding up her arm and in a flash of light, summoning her keyblade, the Elemental Encoder.
Goku stared at Xion's keyblade in surprise, while Korin was mystified not by the appearance but by the power deep within it. It was nothing he had ever felt before and its power was vast. He walked closer to it and examined it trying to make sense of the summoned weapon as best he could.
Goku: "Xion, what is this thing?" Goku said examining it as well but instead of looking at one perspective, he looked all around it.
Xion: "Well, it's a weapon called a "keyblade". From the uses I've made with it, it seems to be quite durable, it can be used as a sword as the blade part suggests. It can also use magic such as fire, ice, and lightning. It can also lock or unlock just about anything. So I don't think you were sensing my power, but the keyblade's instead.
Korin stares at both the keyblade and Xion with intense examination and eventually shakes his head.
Korin: "This "keyblade" is a truly powerful weapon, make no mistake about that, my dear. But the power I sense from the keyblade, is not the same power that I sense within you. So when I say your power, I well and truly mean your power." Korin said, looking at Xion. This fact surprised Xion greatly. For months, she had been used to being credited only for the keyblade's power, so for two friendly people to say she holds an unknown power deep within her that's her very own, came as a surprise.
Goku: "So this is a keyblade…I've never heard of it before, but it definitely feels helpful in a fight." Goku said, holding the keyblade as the two looked back at him. Xion nodded in agreement.
Xion: "It really helped me out a lot when I was on missions with my friends, and the more you practice its magic, the more those same spells power up. They're regular level spells now, but soon enough they'll get stronger." Xion said with confidence.
Goku: "Wow…so not only you, but even the keyblade can grow stronger too? That's just incredible." Goku said in admiration. Xion nodded her head again, closing her eyes and smiling in confidence. It wasm't long before her smile dropped, and eyes opened, and looked at her hands.
Xion: "Wait! When did you…when did you take it?" Xion asked, looking back at Goku. Goku just chuckled at her perplexity and chuckled mischiefly, while Korin sighed and facepalmed himself. "Give it back! She said. Goku gives the keyblade back to her still bearing a cheeky grin, while Xion takes it giving a slight pout. "Expect an extra bonk on the head with this during training!" Xion said, pointing the keyblade at Goku, to which he waves his hands defensively.
Goku: "Whoa, I'm sorry, Xion! Don't take it out on my head!" He said, attempting to plead for the safety of his head. Xion simply crosses her arms while still holding the blade.
Xion: "Too late!" Xion said, looking away from Goku with a cocky grin while shutting her eyes. Soon enough, they both look at each other and begin to laugh at both their playful nature, even Korin couldn't resist giving a few laughs at the scene before him.
Goku: "Speaking of late, we should head back before it gets late." Goku said, looking off in the distance.
Xion: "You're right, I'm sure Chi-Chi's getting bored waiting for us since we made a detour. But it was worth it in the end." Xion said. She makes the keyblade disappear in a flash of light and looks back to Korin. "It was really nice to meet you, Korin. I hope to see you again." She said offer her hand for a handshake, to which he accepts.
Korin: "Likewise, my dear. Know that you are welcome anytime to my tower if you want to visit or to train." He said proudly. Xion and Goku walk down the stairs after Goku gives Korin his own farewell and soon the two fly off together on The Flying Nimbus with Korin watching them fly off in the distance. "A girl with a pure heart, yet a vast unknown power, holding a mystic weapon. I'm sure it won't be long before you take an interest in her soon enough. Isn't that right, Kami?" Korin said before looking up to the roof, or rather, what lies beyond.
End Of Chapter 4
A/N: That's where we'll leave off the story for now! Goku agrees to train Xion and Xion meets Korin! I kinda like how that meeting turned out and while I know Korin is a strict teacher, he's shown to be very kind so I thought I'd show more of that side. As for why I didn't bring Yajirobe, I plan on bringing him into the story during a counter with three of our favorite comic relief villains. As for why I added in the little playful scene near the ending their between Goku and Xion...to be fair, I did say there would be both battles and antics so how could I not include a moment like that?
I know I made a point to this last chapter but I thought I'd bring it up one last time. I AM NOT ENDING THIS STORY ON 15 CHAPTERS. I know some of y'all saw this already, but nothing wrong pushing the point one last time.
Now for an explanation on why this chapter took so long to release. I had a bit of writer's block, not because of how to proceed with the story, but I kind of, well, got stuck after the little trick Chi-Chi used to pretty much say Goku will train Xion. I honestly had no idea on how to continue on with that, I eventually became stuck.
I was gonna delete and rewrite it from playing the denying until recovery, to just outright saying yes, but that probably would cause a problem considering last chapter Chi-Chi said no fighting for at least a few days and I think training with Goku could be just as strenuous. So I decided to distract myself with Xion's living conditions and have Xion be introduced to a character that wasn't going to be at the reunion at Kame House. I was going to go for Kami but I remembered The Flying Nimbus can't be used to get there since Kami's Lookout was higher than The Flying Nimbus flight limit would allow, if I researched correctly.
As for those who are gonna tell me I got the story of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 wrong when Xion explained her situation, remember; her explanation was a bluff. Abby said she couldn't tell others she's from other worlds so she couldn't let on the details of her adventures in full truth. So I do know how the story goes, it's just Xion doesn't want them to know. Truth be told, I WAS going to have Goku see through her story knowing she was lying, but all info I looked up on Goku's perception on lying was about 50-50, so I decided to remove that confrontation between Goku and Xion after they left Goku's house.
For those expecting a battle this chapter, I'm sorry for disappointing you and I will have their training session next chapter, though it will require a small jump between their current day and the day Xion's cleared by Chi-Chi, but no more info besides that.
Also as a reply to Dontus -not Donut- Powerus, I was actually looking into that whole Ki can't replicate magic thing since you brought it up and it actually gave me an interesting idea to add into Goku's training for Xion, but I need to think about it a little more before I fully implement it.
Ok, that should be everything for the author's notes and I am NOT going to update the author's notes anymore after that whole little fiasco with chapter 3's error xD. So if you have any question or comments about the story, feel free to leave a review or message me directly. Remember, I wait at least one week before beginning to write the next chapter but I've also been job hunting and been helping family with some of their work so it could be a while before future chapters are released. So I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you all in the next one!
