Chapter 48: Unexpected Moments
They were on their way back to Alfea, the sun had already set as most of the team was exhausted and tired out after the Downland mission. Taren, who had just fallen asleep during the trip, waking up to get up until he realised he had something resting on his chest. Looks down and finds Bloom asleep, nuzzling to the side of his chest, her legs resting over his hips and her arm around him with a smile on her face. Finds it peaceful and wanting to savour this moment while it lasts. Reached out to hold her by the waist and in response feels her snuggling in her sleep without waking.
He spotted Stella hugging Brandon and obviously not letting him go, not that anyone could blame her and seems Brandon would be glad to be back with her than that princess.
But he could not stop thinking about that unnamed attacker just now when he came out of nowhere and easily took them all down, even one of the Trix despite having new upgrades was no match for him and certainly was very powerful by that aura of magic flowing around him. Taren wasn't certain how the Digimon or the Titans would have fared against him, but was proven to be a skilled fighter. He will have to tell the others what happened and find out more of who that guy was and if he was working alongside the Trix or not.
"Alright, everyone. We're back in Alfea."
They hear Riven call out to them as those who were asleep started to wake up. Stella who was waking up and let out a yawn. "Eh, are we there?"
Brandon smiles and nodded at her. "Yep, glad to be back home." She let him up to stretch his arms and legs until they saw the sleeping Bloom with Taren. Stella could not help but pull a grin on her face.
"Aw, aren't you two cute together."
Bloom's eyes fluttered as she woke up and let out a soft yawn, pulls herself from his chest she used to rest on and rubbed her eyes. "Did I fall asleep?" Slowly sat up to notice her position, but didn't seem to mind it while she glanced at the amused Stella.
"Rise and shine, sleeping beauty, our ride is just about over." The blonde said before she got on her feet. "First thing I'm gonna do is take a long hot bath."
"Your not the only one." Sky agreed with her. "After what we went through, I hope we earned a good break to recover."
"For the moment." Taren mumbles as he was a little uncertain, but didn't escape Bloom's notice as she had an idea what was going on in his head.
"Hey, I can see that ship coming in to land by the school."
Going to the bridge to where Riven pointed to see the Ebonhawk, which means the keyblade masters made it back from their mission. Sky and Riven set the Red Fountain ship in the middle of the school garden.
Bloom was excited to see her friends again and hardly wait to introduce them to the pixies. Gave an assuring smile to the pixies about the girls she told them about who could be their potential bonded fairies. "Well, its time we introduce you all to our friends and I think you're gonna get along fine with them."
With the ship making a soft land and not before Flora, Musa, and Tecna run towards them. Not wasting a second longer, Bloom, Stella and Layla immediately jumped off to see their friends again. Taren followed but didn't run over as they were close by, he saw them hugging each other and laugh, smiles as he and Agumon walked up to Bloom and Flora.
"Hey, don't I get a hug?" Taren asked with a tease of his girlfriends.
Flora hugged Bloom and smiled at him. "Here's something better." She jumped into his arms and gave a kiss on the lips to show how much she missed him. Flora looked up to see a Pixie flying towards her.
"Hey there, my name is Chatta, so are you one of the Winx? Is it true you and Bloom are dating this guy? And what other stuff can you-"
"Whoa, there, I think you got a little excited." Flora stopped her with a tap of her finger on her lips but found it amusing. "But I'll answer all that I can."
"Good luck, she just couldn't stop talking and ask us so many questions on the way back." Taren could tell how they seem to bond, and noticing Musa talking to Tune and Tecna with Digit over some stuff with, no doubt about gadgets and technology.
"So you guys made it back." Sora alongside Riku and Hana joined them when they spotted the ship landed. "Seems we thought to be the last after our trip."
"Yeah, we kinda had a slight detour." Taren would fill them in later. "How did it go for you guys?"
Riku crossed his arms and sighed. "Not what we expected and barely stayed long.
Hana was curious to know what they did until she spotted Kiku jumping around for Bloom's attention, decided to pick him up. "Hey, looks like someone's happy to see you, Bloom."
Bloom was talking to Lokette when she heard Hana, who was holding her rabbit and smiled. "Kiko! Aw, I didn't see you there. Is that for me?" She reached out her hands to pick him up and missed him. "Come on, let's get something to eat." Lets him hop on her shoulder.
"You girls get some rest, we'll head back until further notice." Sora said and decided to get his kids back home.
Sky understood and nodded his head. "Sure thing, and thanks for the help, Taren."
"Yeah, and also to Agumon for his help as Greymon." Brandon gave his thanks to them.
Riku and Sora shared a glance and curious to wonder what they meant. "Greymon?"
Taren smiles and figured to explain it later. "I'll explain later, dad." Gave a soft yawn and waves to his friends. "Later, let me know on anything."
Stella decided to wave back at him. "If you're called for any adventures, let me know! And I'm certain two girls would love to snug-"
Bloom cut her off with a hand over her mouth from saying anything else. "Come on, Stella let's get going. Bye, Taren. See ya, Hana, thanks for looking after Kiko!"
This made Taren relieved for the moment after she almost gave away too much about it, but noticing his sister giving a teasing smirk and eyebrows raised. "So, what was going on between you and Bloom?"
"Nothing for you, now come on. Dad's gonna set off without us if we don't get on." Not wanting to deal with his sister's jokes and drags her by the arm to get on the ship.
"Man, that must have been some adventure you guys sure had. I hate to imagine all the stuff that Brandon had to go through." Sora said after they were told of the stuff that happened to Taren's friend when he was forced to marry a Trog princess and was saved in the nick of time. Setting the ship on autopilot to listen to his son's adventures and sounded proud of how he improved.
"Oh man, he must have been terrified. But to find out you actually performed a summoning in Magix, and picked Mushu? That's really impressive." Riku heard about his improvements and complimented. "Not to mention that clip of Agumon transforming was awesome."
Taren had shown them the image of Greymon after he digivolved to save their friends from the city guards. Sat next to Agumon who was munching on some treats. "Yeah, he really caught us by surprise, and almost thought to stay like that." The last thing he would worry about is causing mass hysteria back home with a giant dinosaur-like monster running around back home. He looked at his father's face now turned to worry and concern over something else. "Something up, dad?"
Sora looked at his son to answer. "Yeah, just concerned now the Trix escaped and now stronger then before, plus this new guy who came out of nowhere overpowered everyone like it was a game to him."
"Did he ever gave you his name at all?" Riku asked him if he was certain, but the teen simply shook his head in reluctance.
"No, seems he didn't stick around, and that's not all. We were confronted by a creature that was a Merelith."
This surprised both his father and Riku upon hearing about this. They were familiar with certain creatures from their friends who showed them certain kinds for battle and those to be careful of certain types that were far powerful and hard to control. "A Merelith? You sure it wasn't just a creature that looked like one?" Sora asked him.
"No, this one had a snake tail, six arms, and many swords. Plus, she vanished after we took her out. And I was shocked and confused when it was confirmed of what she was when we got attacked in the caves." Taren could see the looks on their faces that this was new to them and still had no idea. "Wasn't sure if she was one of the creatures left by Tezzeret or someone else used it. But I get the feeling it was no coincidence that we were there looking for the pixies, just later on this guy dressed like… well like a clown came out of no where and easily beaten us."
"Think he could be working with them?" Riku was curious to ask.
Taren didn't think so. "Nope, the witches looked surprised as we were and he took one of them out."
Sora did not like this at all and worries that there maybe a new player that they never met and no idea what he could be capable of. "We should tell the others, not to mention what we learned about Dyamond."
Coming out of the corner was Hana with an annoyed look on her face. "Dad? Did you took some of my snacks from my bag?"
Sora had no idea what she meant and almost confused with one eyebrow raised. "No, sorry. I never touched your bag."
Riku shook his head and held up his hands. "Not me."
She turned to her brother and Agumon, narrowing her eyes and hands on her hips. "Well?"
Taren became surprised that she would point the blame him of stealing her food. "Me?! I never you were here by the time we came to Magix!"
"Yeah, and I was in the digivice the whole time. Plus, I got my own food of the made by Flora."
Sora was about to step in before his kids started to exchange arguments over who was the culprit, his eyes caught a box moving on its own, almost creeping past them in the hallway. "Guys, think I might have found the real culprit."
Everyone turned to the direction of where his finger was pointing, they heard a light 'yip' of a startled sound with whatever was in the box realised it was caught.
Hana recognised the box it was using for cover. "Hey! That's mine! Come back here, you thief!" She ran after it when it made a run for it.
Taren sighs. "Come on, let's go and help her." Decided to help her catch it along with their father while Riku resumed to pilot the ship. It proved to be much fast and cunning to avoid being caught. They chase it through the ship, although for a small critter in the box, it was chased into the storage room and trapped.
"Alright, time to see what we got here. Agumon, be ready." Taren told his partner.
"Careful, we don't know what it is." Sora was uncertain what was in the box, it snuck on board their ship meaning it could be skilled or a trap. Hana stood behind them with no idea of what they would be doing and decided to stay out of the way in case they use their magic. "On three."
Taren and Agumon nodded and waited for the signal.
"THREE!"
Without warning, the trio pounced on the box and tackled with their numbers. This was a tactic Hana did not expect. "EH?!" She thought for sure her dad was mature enough to do this.
"OW! Watch those claws!"
"It kicked me in the tail!"
"It must be slippery! Think I got the foot!"
"That's my foot!"
All they did was create a dust cloud, fists, feet and punches exchanged until the box flew over them. Completely unaware of it and must be fighting each other until she caught it. "Hey, if you three are done, I got the... fox?"
She did not expect to find a white furred fox, looking at her with the sapphire eyes and confused and worry. Hana found it adorable and smiled at the small fox. "Aw! Its only a fox!"
Riku came over to check on them after hearing a loud noise. "What's going on in here?" He found Sora, Taren and Agumon in a brawl with each other, with the digimon's jaws around Taren's leg and the father and son at each other's arms in a form of a wrestling or some sort. The three of them stopped when they realised they were fighting each other and found Hana holding a fox.
"A fox? How did that get in here?" Taren rubs his head from the soreness on his head until he broke free from the embarrassing fight.
Sora recognised the fox back from Dyamond, it must have snuck onto the ship when they did not realise it. "That looks like the same fox from Dyamond."
Riku recalled seeing one like this and thought it looked familiar. "Dyamond? Wait, this little critter snuck on to our ship?"
"My guess is, it saw those ice monsters come and took the ship for shelter." Which was what Sora speculated.
"Aw, she must have been scared." Hana felt bad for the fox when it looked up at her.
"Well, what are we gonna do with it? Can't make a stop at Dyamond to drop it off when we're needed to meet with Yen Sid." Taren asked.
The fox nuzzled into Hana's arms, somehow able to get Hana's attention that this made her feel sad and scared when her brother mentioned the planet's name for some reason. She heard how it was a frozen wasteland like Domino, if there was not many animals left the fox be the last possible survivor. "Dad? You're not thinking of taking her back to this planet right?"
Sora looked over to hear his daughter ask and could see how she seemed to take a liking to the fox. "Well, Hana we-" Much as he would try to give reason they could not bring it back, but he had not seen any other animals around and clearly something about that fox seems odd. Looking at her face as she always did wanted a pet and the look on the face she was giving made the father reluctantly gave in. Sora sighs and made up his decision. "Alright, but try not to get too attach unless we find her a suitable place and you better be sure to keep the fox close by."
Hana's face made a complete turn to a bright smile. "Thanks dad! I promise and will be sure we find her a good home." She gave the white fox a soft scratch on the ears, making it smile and enjoying it.
"Wait, we're seriously keeping it?" Taren asked him and could not believe his father gave in to those eyes she used.
Sora scratched the back of his head and sighs once more. "Well, it would be dangerous to go back there with who or what is using it as their new turf. So got no choice really."
"Plus, we now know you are no match against the sinister mind of your daughter." Riku gave a soft snickering to tease his best friend who rolled his eyes.
"Very funny. Now I have to have a talk with Kairi about it." That was one thing he was most concern of.
Hana decided to put the fox on the floor and kneels down, trying to think of a name for her. "Hmm, we should give you a name while you're with us. Can't go back to that place when they said it's dangerous. Hope you don't mind the warmer climate back home."
Taking a look at her eyes that were blue like her family's-apart from Taren's when his changed. Then came a name she suddenly heard in her head and not sure where it came from but sounded right for her. "Sapphire?" The fox nodded and wags her tail. "Okay then, Sapphire then. Now we just have to keep you out of sight for the time being since we don't have foxes around."
Uncertain why she chose the name, but some reason it seems to fit the fox and felt something around her that seems like an aura. Maybe can ask her mother or anyone who knows this could understand it. Or maybe she was just imagining it.
Mysterious Tower
Yen Sid sat behind his desk with all who came for the meeting, King Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Sora, Taren, along with their digimon. Others who arrived were Ben and Mal along with others to join them. Roxas grew a lot over the years, he became tall and athletic built, wore a black jacket with a hood with a white shirt under it, his hairstyle remained mostly the same, wearing a pair of black pants and brown shows. Beside him was was Xion, still wore the black coat but added some changes to it with a bit of grey rims and light shoulder pads, her hair grew down to her shoulders, she was just a few inches below Roxas and they came to see their old pal when they heard he wanted to invite them over to Magix. Knowing he had to something to do and couldn't make it for the meeting but they be thrilled to see him after so many years.
"I appreciate you all to come, the others regretted to not arrive as I had given them a task to the masters Ventus, Terra, and Aqua to search for any abnormalities. But as you are all here we will begin." Yen Sid clears his throat before he could continue. "Since the defeat of Tezzeret, his forces have been scattered and the Grimm no longer under his control. Our two worlds are now at a moment of peace. However, prior your return I have received news from Faragonda of this new foe."
"That'd be Darkar right? The girls told me when I came to visit." Mal stated.
Yen Sid nodded to confirm her answer. "Correct, young Mal. For those who are not aware, Alfea received a visitor named Layla who tried to save a group of pixies that were captured for unknown reason. And careful study of the evidence provided by the headmistress, this Darkar is a foe far greater than we thought."
Mickey spoke up to know about this potential enemy from his former master. "Is he that powerful, master Yen Sid?"
"Very much so I believe, as some of you remember when the Dimension of Magix was plunged into an all out war, those who took advantage of the chaos was the very foes we fought.
"That would be Tezzeret and the Ancestral Witches when they teamed up to destroy Domino." Taren sai as he remembered what happened through the visions he saw.
"Yes, however, Tezzeret had his own personal agenda to take the Dragon Flame for his plans before the witches could. But he was unsuccessful at the time." Yen Sid stated. "But in truthe, the Ancestral Witches were mere servants of a darker foe who recruited them to serve its bidding."
"Wait, so they were just lackeys all this time?" Riku exclaimed and sounded surprised to find out about this. "How come we never knew about it until now?"
"From the descriptions I have received from the encounter of these dark abominations, the spells and strong possibility from the headmistress, she is very certain this is the very being." Yen Sid said with his tone dreaded to think of the chaos the creature of darkness could unless. "It was presumed to have been destroyed back then, but now we believe this creature known as Darkar has returned… and likely to finish what it has started."
"But what exactly is it he wants to finish whatever it is he wanted? The Dragon Flame?" Ben asked out of curiosity to find out.
"No, I believe it is something else otherwise he would have came at Bloom. But very likely that he is unaware of Taren's powers which should be best to remain for the time being." The sorcerer advised to prevent the same thing. "Very likely after he was imprisoned, revenge may be somewhat a possibility."
"So anything of why he wanted the pixies so bad? From what I can tell, they don't seem to have anything special apart from bonding with fairies." Mal implied. Unless they knew something he wanted but don't know what it is.
"Unless there's something from their home that holds the secret that he wants." Xion said to share her idea.
"Very likely and Faragonda decided to keep the pixies at Alfea until the crisis has ended." Yen Sid turns to face the three young wielders. "It be wise to be on guard and keep a look out for him or his minions. Now that the Trix have escaped, we must watch out for them."
"We'll do our part, master!" The king proclaimed with determination in his voice.
"Yeah!" Donald jumps in to support his king.
Goofy gave a salute. "Darn tootin!"
Taren decided to mention another thing to warn them about. "There's just another to mention, when we were attacked by the Trix, someone we knew nothing about came out of no where and attacked us. He was powerful with magic and uncertain if he was doing it for fun by the way he laughed. Almost like a clown or something."
"A clown?" Ben asked him to be sure.
Mal thought of an idea of a villain dressed like one sounded like being out of a comic book. "Seriously?"
"He sure was strong and powerful, I saw him easily beat one of those witches." Agumon said.
"There have been certain villains who have been underestimated by their traits and appearances, young Mal. It would be wise to heed this warning the next time you confront this new villain." Yen Sid informed the young witch to not let her judgement be her mistake.
"Lets just hope this doesn't ruin the grand reopening of Red Fountain soon, I heard from Sky they're about done." Taren said.
"Yeah, it would be great to see it in top shape." Ben nodded. "And also for my coronation coming up as well."
Mickey gave the prince a smile. "I bet your parents will be proud of how much you've improved. If you need any advice to run a kingdom, or balance it out with your keyblade duties, I'm always there to help."
Ben appreciated the offer and smiles. "Thank you, but there's something else I wanted to talk about before discussing it with my parents. And I'm not sure they will like this idea I had in mind for my first proclamation."
"Come on, I doubt that they would freak out over one little idea you wanted to make. How bad could it be?" Taren chuckled and knew his best friend was always ther to make them laugh and feel happy, until he noticed the serious but somewhat nervous look on the brunette's face.
"Wait til' you hear what he has to say." Gabumon told them.
"Well… you see, I decided to allow…" Ben took a deep breath as everyone was watching him. "To allow the children of the villains… to live in Auradon."
Everyone looked as though they were frozen, eyes widen and jaws dropped when they heard his plans. All but his digimon and surprisingly Yen Sid who remained calm but some would thought if he was just hiding it and shocked from the inside. Only Agumon and Palmon who had no idea what was going on looked confused of what made them feel this way.
"WHHAAATTT!?"
The collective cries could be heard beyond the room, startling the auburn haired girl with the fox jumped in her arms upon startlement. It made her wonder what was going on that made them shout out like that.
"You want to WHAT?!" This came as a shock to Mal as if she thought he grew a second head.
"Say that again, cause I think we just misheard you there. You want kids who are related to the villains we fought and imprisoned to live among Aurodan?" Riku thought if he was serious about it.
Ben remained unfazed and somewhat expected this to happen. Wanting to give a reason for why he made this decision. "Every time I look out to the island, apart from going to his majesty's clubhouse, I feel the kids they have were abandoned."
"Ben, you know the history between both sides of what they've done in the past, it be impossible for those who have children to live on Auradon. Much as I wanted to, but we agreed having to go to the Clubhouse be the only start." Mickey explained to him and knew about the existence of the children.
"Not to mention, many would not like the idea either." Roxas stated.
Sora took a moment to think of this plan the prince thought up. "On the other hand, some of us think it could be a start to put things aside for the next generation not to inherit the hate between each other."
Ben looked to Sora and glad he understood where he was getting at. "Exactly, but thought maybe start out with a few who were raised outside the kingdom. I spoke with Yen Sid about it and when Mal told us who her mother was, this proved that there are those who could be better than their parents." He remembered the stories of how his parents met and when his father was cursed as a ferocious beast, until he met his mother and changed him. When she gave him a chance despite his appearance to help lift the curse to confess her love to him.
"The keyblades does indeed choose a wielder with a strong heart to wield them. I bet it chose her for a reason despite being the daughter of a villain." Mickey surmised when he had seen others who had been given a chance to prove themselves worthy.
"Yeah, like me, Roxas and Lea, despite being Nobodies we were, we became keybladers and even Terra still had his after being taken over for many years." Xion explained and began to understand them. "Well, I guess it be worth to give it a shot."
Roxas shrugged his shoulders and nodded. Riku folded his arms and smiles. "Eh, why not."
"Well, I guess we could give a help since it be like the clubhouse." Goofy would support his majesty if he was okay with it.
Donald was reluctant until he gave in. "Aw, alright."
"Plus, we know PJ being the son of Pete who once worked for Maleficent himself, and we're still friends with him anyway." Taren mentioned of one of his pals. Decided to give this a shot.
Ben became relieved to know they supported his cause and appreciated their honesty. "Great, what about you, Mal?"
Mal was silent the most and absorbed what he told them. "Well… may be difficult, but I could find those who may be willing to give it a shot."
Ben understood and nodded. "That's all I ask, maybe four for a start." Then he gave a nervous smile as he had something else to say to her. "But, maybe someone we know and-don't get mad but of what I'm about to say!"
"Why would I be mad over something you wanted to help others? Not like I'm part of the…" As if her brain clicked in immediately the moment she figured out who the prince had in mind, becoming more alarmed and nervous. "Oh no. No, no, no! Absolutely NOT!"
Taren looked at her in confusion and shared a glance with his father when they figured it out as well. "Wait, Mal is one of your chocies?!"
Ben reluctantly nodded. "Yeah, I know this is something you didn't think but-"
"Ben, I know we're good friends but are you NUTS!?" She yelled from the top of her lungs and almost startling everyone by her outburst. "Have you forgotten who my mother was? The moment anyone figures out the connections, they be after my head and throw me to the Isle of the Lost or something worst!"
"Never thought I say this, but Mal brings up a good point. Maleficent was the worst villain ever since she had a large part in the Second Keyblade War! And even if anyone had known of her being the wielder of a keyblade, they'll see her as a villain!" Taren gave a statement to Ben, earning a small surprise from Mal to side with her.
"Did he just agree to what I said? Okay, now I know this could be a bad omen." Mal said and tried to keep her mind clear to give a reason not to be part of the plan. "Besides, I don't think I can fit in on Auradon, I do magic and work more better at Cloud Tower and no one there seems to bother or know about it! I even agreed to maybe attend to for the next semester!"
"Serious?" Riku asked out of surprise to hear about this.
Ben understood where she was going with this for not wanting to go along with it. But this didn't stop him from trying to convince her to give it a chance. "Mal, sooner or later everyone will find out and with all the things they hear about your good deeds would prove that some villains or the next generation after them could be given another chance."
"Prince Ben does speak the truth, Mal." Yen Sid spoke to her. "You have proven yourself to be nothing like your mother and from what others have said of how you stepped in to aid your friend when she was bullied.
Mal remembered when she came in to help Mirta, and not wanting to admit it was at first to put those witches in their place for overstepping their boundaries, but after she got turned into a pumpkin it pushed Mal to the limit who she saw was an actual friend like the others she worried. Wanting to do it to keep them safe from the horde to attack them. Ultimately she sighed and gave in. "Alright, fine. But if this to help give my friends the chance to have better lives then be seen as the children of the villains then I'm in on it. But I'm doing this under protest!"
Ben gave her a warm smile and was happy to hear it. "That's all I ask and don't worry, I'm certain we'll work on it but be a few days before the coronation to give a head start."
"Least then we won't have too much to worry." Roxas stated. "Just gotta convince your parents to accept it as you be king soon."
"Not to mention we gotta watch out for any other villains to worry about from making any plans." Mickey added to remind them. "Even those who are locked away are still dangerous and cunning to plan an attempt to escape."
As it was all settled, the sorcerer called for their attention to what he had to say. "King Mickey and I shall speak with the Fairy Godmother of the proposal and possible dangers ahead, in the meantime, there will be new mission for you all and very likely to work alongside the Winx to stop Darkar and the Trix."
"And we'll try to improve our skills and help our Digimon get stronger to stop them." Taren responded.
"Indeed, for there are new worlds out there we have yet to explore and new foes far more stronger." Giving advice to the young trio to be prepared for the coming dangers. "As I am informed by Saladin the Red Fountain will be opening very shortly, so you are free to attend the ceremony."
"Thanks very much, master Yen Sid." Ben said.
"And give some time to start developing new skills to be ready." Taren was excited to hear about visiting these new worlds and wondered what they will find, hoping to be worth it apart from seeing most of Magix and Domino for a starters. He was excited to see more of Earth and the places he heard about, maybe Bloom could take them on a tour to places she could take them.
"First you be needing to catch a bit on schoolwork first, kiddo." Sora reminded his son, causing the young redhead to groan and his drop.
"Why isn't there another monster attacks when you need any?" He mumbled under his breath, earning a chuckle from Riku and some of the adults to see his reaction. Maybe he could ask for a partly transfer to Red Fountain as he had enjoyed the training with the Specialists… apart from the brutal spars from Macbeth.
"Does that mean we have to go too?" Palmon asks her partner.
Mal did not think it be a good idea to have their Digimon walk about and draw a lot of attention, or give the impression they were monsters. "Maybe best to stay in our digivices while at the schools, and not be seen for now."
"Yeah, can't have them be seen running around. Unless you need them for emergencies to stop a rampaging monster." Xion said when it would be better to keep them a secret for now until Auradon could adjust to them.
"Now, before we end this meeting I am curious about this Layla you spoke about who has a Digimon of her own." Yen Sid brought up about the new girl.
"Yeah, I mean, how did her digimon found his way into their dimension?" Riku thought it wasn't possible unless he was brought through as an egg, or by some accident.
"That I am uncertain, but we must be careful. For I believe uncertain things will occur now that the Dimension of Magic is no longer cut off from the other worlds, and also this incident with these creatures from that incident set up by Chaos." Yen Sid mentioned about the creature attacks caused by the feline entity that brought them to Magix. Familiar with the history between the two centuries ago and believe this will not be the last time after that event.
The future is very uncertain for the wielders of the Keyblade, and they must be prepared.
Tartaros
Within the deep abyss of world of mortals, the infernal regions of the Greek Gods who locked away the most dangerous demons, titans and criminals since the great war that was led by Zeus himself against their father, Cronus. Over the thousands of years since the downfall of Cronus, the gods decided to install new developments to better protect the prison against revolts and prison breakouts.
Inside the prison corridors, passing the cells containing the prisoners was a a large Minotaur with grey fur, a black Mohawk and wearing brown and red armor, walking alongside a pair of guards. He stood before the guards to introduce himself to a pair of humanoid guards who noticed his pressence. "My name is Taurus, Chief of Security from New Olympus. I need to do some inspections upon Tartarus by the order of Lord Zeus."
The officers stood to attention and led him through when he showed them proof of his arrival.
"As you can see the latest developments have improved the security on Tartarus, Chief officer. We appreciate the effort since New Olympus was built after the latest war." One of the security officers told the Minotaur.
Taurus listens to the guards's words and spoke up. "It is only a matter of duty to ensure Tartarus is secured after the recent attacks of the Grimm months ago. With New Olympus built, it is vital to prevent the same attacks on." They approach a cell that was heavily locked up, energy barriers surrounding it with steel bars. "And how is the guest adjusting to his cell?"
"Surprisingly calm and relaxing despite being a prisoner for so many centuries." One of the guards responded to his question. "But no way he's gonna break out with the state of the art security systems."
Opening the slot on the door to see the person inside, resting on a bed with his back turned, wearing only a black tunic and gold armbands. The Minotaur snarled upon the sight of him.
"But I don't understand why we needed to double our guards, he's been trapped in there for thousands of years."
But Taurus did not seem convince. "Long enough for him to plot his escape, he is immortal and time is on his side. According to the Fates, they say he will make his escape in the future."
"Ah, I see the three Fates have something about me? How pleasant to hear, I was beginning to think they forgot about me." A cultured voice from the cell spoke, earning their attention of the prisoner from the shadows. "But you are correct, and I know exactly what time it is my good fellow."
Taurus narrowed his glare at the male through the door. "Better get comfy while you can, be another millennia for you."
"Oh that would be so boring!"
Taurus gasped and spun around to hear an anonymous voice spoke out. Reached for his blaster when one of the guards was struck by a blast of lightning, and a second suddenly cut from shoulder to waist. "Show yourself!"
"Very well, I like to make a grand entrance!" A brief moment a flash of light struck them and appeared out of thin air was Kefka, smiling like a madman at the Minotaur. Not wasting time to question and rather to capture the intruder for interrogation, charges head first with his horns, but did not register how deceptive his foe was. Kefka stood where he was and made a mocking stance of a bullfighter with his cape and spun to avoid the attack. "Oley!"
Taurus missed him and stopped, fires his weapon but Kefka was able to dodge them creating a dome barrier with hexegal shaped patterns. "Reflect!" Reached out his hand and summoned a weapon, the weapon he wields was a scythe, the blade was red with the lighter shade on the top and the darker red on the cutting edge, a curved horn by the top and the bottom of the bar with a reddish wing sprouting from the back, gold rims for the decorative features with a maroon sash wrapped around it and the hand grip was black. Kefka grins and spins his scythe to counter attack the Minotaur and swung it from the front to struck him in the chest.
Taurus was briefly caught off guard and realised he underestimated this bizarre intruder, certainly skilled in magic and a fighter. Could he be trying to break out the prisoners of Tartaros? Whatever his reason for, the Chief officer would not let that happen. "You will not leave Tartaros alive, intruder." He snarls.
Kefka didn't take his threat lightly and smirks. "Oh, I would reconsider those words." He spotted more of the guards to rush in to stop him, but Kefka did not seem fazed and flips himself backwards, he holds the tip of the scythe backwards, his body glows in a dark aura to perform his attack and pink flow around him. "Zantetsuken!"
Before Taurus could realise what had happened, he watched as Kefka vanished and a stream of light shot passed him and the guards. To his astonishment and shock, his foe had somehow shot passed them and suddenly felt an amount of pain in his body without knowing for a brief moment. All the guards alongside him stopped and collapsed in pain, clutching to their wounds as Taurus' cut was on his chest, he was relieved the armor took the blow but still felt the cut dug into his skin. He could do nothing but watch helplessly as the scythe wielding opponent smiles at them, twirling his blade in victory.
Kefka looked at him and amazed the Minotaur was still breathing. "Still breathing? Oh, I love to have more fun but I'm on a schedule." He suddenly hears the sound of hands clapping and turned around.
"Bravo! Bravo! Much better than the sort of entertainment they give us in Tartorus." The prisoner from the cell had watched and amazed by Kefka's performance and taking out the guards. "Might I inquire your name and reason for this visit? Obvious not for fun."
Taking those words for compliment and appreciated someone for admiring his performance. "Since you've been so kind of my act, I'm looking for a certain person who's so famous around here and use to be in charge. Does the name Cronus mean anything?"
"Ah, look no further. You found him."
"Oh! so that's why you have such a special lock around here than the others." Kefka commented on the door with special locks. Making his way towards the door to see a pair of dark red eyes through the slot. "Must be a special celeb to receive this." Decided to cut to the chase while he had time. "Anyway, the reason I came here is I got special plans with some pals of mine, but with new heroes around I thought why not look for allies. Or just to cause so much havoc and chaos for fun to keep some goodie two shoes busy. What do ya say?"
Taking in on his offer and sounded intrigued. "Hmm, so you are willing to help me escape? But what do I get in return if I were to help you?"
"Hmm, good question on that." Kefka takes a thinking pose and pretended to take a moment to ponder. "I help take out those gods and you can have this planet to yourself. Personally I just wanted to have so much fun."
Cronus gave out a chuckle of Kefka's bizarre nature and can tell he was not lying to him, but sense something about him different but familiar somewhat to him. "You are a strange fellow, but if you can prove it by unlocking this door then you have my support of our new alliance."
"Sounds good to me. Stand back!" Kefka swung his scythe and aimed it to the lock of the door, a beam of dark light shot out towards the lock and opened it like a key. "Ta da!"
Now free from his prison, Cronus slammed it open and revealed himself as a strong built male with black hair and a goatee, streaks of white hair on the front of his hair and the sides. The most notable feature was a scar on his right cheek and close to his right eye. He looked impressed by the magical scythe his new ally wielded and summoned his own that gold and black, but smaller compared to Kefka's.
"Impressive, and might I know your name?" Cronus asked for his name.
Kefka made a bowing gesture to the Titan. "Kefka Palazzo, the great lord of magic, and bringer of chaos!"
The rest of the prisoners who witnessed Cronus' escape began to roar and chant for his attention, wanting to escape as well or cheer for him. As the two make their leave, Taurus groaned in pain as he tried to rest against a wall, pressed a button on his gauntlet and spoke with a rasping voice while ignoring the pain. "This is Chief of Security Taurus, we have a situation and urgent to warn the gods immediately."
So there we are, the next adventure and world will be on Earth to deal with Cronus now broke free thanks to Kefka and about to wreck havoc. I decided to pick the events of Class of the Titans as the next adventure and got plans for it. Plus I add for Ben's ideas and how the characters react to it, especially how Mal has to deal of being involved of his idea to give the villain kids a chance for a better life as I will add the divergence from the series.
Kefia's weapon is based on an artwork I found so here be the source of the inspiration.
I also added some elements from Gargoyles and make New Olympus a little different from the main series to fit with the KH verse and will fill in on it later on as the story progresses so hope you enjoyed it.
