Chapter 70: The Show Must Go On!
"So why do you suppose the girls wanted us to come so badly? The concert doesn't start until tonight." Ben pondered as they made their way through the Alfea gate when they received a call from the Winx about something. He found out about what happened when told that the bird he remembered came out of nowhere and caused some mischief. When he asked what happened all he got from Taren's face was red while the guys snickered but said nothing. "You think they may be in trouble?"
"Who knows, we might find out when we find them." Taren had no idea as well.
The boys stopped when they heard the sound of a motorbike and saw a fast moving biker without a bike flew past them.
"Where did that come from?" Taren had not seen it coming, until a raging duck followed after it, dashing past them so fast to create a gust of wind.
Ben instantly knew that cry as well and caught a glimpse of Donald running straight past them. "Was that… Donald?"
Taren thought so as well. "It is! But what's he doing here?"
Running out of the school was Bloom, almost out of breath but relieved to see Taren and Ben arrived as Tecna and Stella followed. "Hey guys, man, this is just some weird day."
The Aracuan bird flew into the closet and closed it, but not before making a raspberry sound to further taunt the duck. Donald, seethed with rage, began pummeling his fists against the door to make him come out. "Open this door right now!"
"Donald? What are you doing here?" Taren asked him as he and Ben walked up to the duck.
"We thought you were at the House of Mouse by now." Ben would have assumed.
Donald turned to see the boys and the Winx Club, he was relieved to see them. "Ben. Taren. Boy, am I glad to see you two! You gotta help me catch that bird and get me back to the clubhouse, quick!"
The king thought he was a little over dramatic over just one bird. "Don't you think you're getting a little carried away? I mean, he can't be that bad."
"NO!" Donald jumped onto the surprised teen, grabbing his jacket to make him understand from his experience. "He'll destroy the place, I tell ya! He's nuts! NUTS!"
Bloom didn't believe it and assumed he was overreacting. "Oh come on, he's probably just harmless." Walking to the closet to open it, finding the Aracuan bird in a hammock with a book. He gave them a polite wave to the girls.
Stella on the other hand, crossed her arms and believed the duck about the Aracuan bird being trouble. "Well, I think we should keep an eye on him, just to be sure."
"We don't know much about the bird, maybe could ask the headmistress to help send you back." Tecna suggested.
"Good idea. Donald just relax and maybe have fun at the concert, We'll help you get back, so relax and let him stay put until we sort things out." Bloom told him, hopefully to have a simple normal day at least while they get ready for the concert.
"I don't know. But I'm gonna make sure." Unlike the others, Donald with his history with the Aracuan since his trip to the rainforest that almost drove him insane. WHile it was fortunate for him to not run into the bird during his adventures with his friends during the last Keyblade War, at least it was a pleasent moment. But now after running into the familiar face during the battle for Alfea, he was determined to keep stopping the Aracuan bird from causing trouble by any means necessary.
Bloom thought to tug her boyfriend's arm to maybe have some fun while he was in Alfea and maybe go to the concert with the girls, but wanted to ask him about something. "Uh, Taren, any chance he's letting this get a little… carried away?"
"Well…"
They see Donald wasting no time hammering down the blanks with nails and a hammer, preventing any attempts in his belief would keep the bird from opening the door. They wondered where he was getting the planks of wood, only to find the Aracuan right behind him using a sawmill machine to cut down wooden objects and trees, helping the oblivious Donald. When Donald assumed it was done, he nodded with approval and brushed his hands, walked over to Ari to shake his hand and walked away with a satisfied smile.
Only to take a several moments to find out about his mistake. "HEY!" Glaring at the bird for making a fool of him, once again. "Stupid BIRD!"
This somewhat answered Bloom's question after witnessing the display. "Yeah. Pretty much." They watch as the duo run off with Donald about to give chase.
"Why do I get the feeling this is going to be one of those days." Ben softly shakes his head as he had a feeling this is going to be a while.
Meanwhile in Darkar's palace, Stormy stares into a mirror with a look of determination on one mind in mind: to get revenge on Musa. She felt humiliated after that performance made the fairy of music and could not get it out of her mind. "Ugh, Musa!" She growls under her breath with a tone of disdain, fortunately a moment of an opportunity sprung up when she found out about a concert and Musa will be singing. This was her moment to get back at Musa for the humiliation. "I sure hope you're ready for your concert! Hm. Because it'll be an evening you won't soon forget!"
Stormy decided to have a change of look to sneak in, reached out for her hair, magically straightened her hair as it was straight and flowing, not like it's usually cloud-shaped style. Then changes the look of her eyes, turning her hair color into brunette and finally her clothes which were a dark blue mini skirt and a grey sweater with red cuffs and collar, added with the knee length socks and brown shoes.
Stormy walks to the mirror with the doodle of musa she made earlier, smudging it away with her sleeve. "Musa you're done!" She then let out a soft devious laugh and could not wait to be rid of the fairy.
Outside the Red Fountain's outdoor area, large crowds of guests and Specialist students gathered for the concert and those who would be performing. Among the guests was Mal who arrived after completing her studies from Cloud Tower and was trying to find the others with Palmon beside her.
"Hmm, seems we came a little early. I could have time to invite the others back home." Mal thought and no doubt Evie would love to watch.
"You gonna perform, Mal?" Palmon asked her partner knowing how good she is at singing.
"Nah, been so busy I didn't know it was on." She would have wanted to but with going on adventures and studies really lost track of time. "Anyway, wonder if we will find anyone we know around here in this crowd."
Palmon could barely see with her size, but her dark green eyes spotted someone she recognised. "Look's like someone is having a lot of fun." Pointing her clawed finger for Mal, sharing a mutual annoyance on their faces.
They find Brandon in the company of two girls, each holding one arm and flirting with him. "Of course I'll win the secret chalice tonight! But only if I get a kiss for good luck!"
"Hmm, you like strawberry lipstick?" One of the girls asked him.
"Or are you a cherry type of guy?"
The two girls laughed wholeheartedly then ran off, leaving the brunette behind. "Boy, do I ever love being me!" However, he never got the kiss from either of the girls he was with a moment ago. "Huh? What's this?" But what he got instead were a pair of lipsticks in his hands the girls left behind. "Lipstick?! That's not what I asked for!"
Brandon suddenly noticed a passing brunette who caught his interest. "Ooh, hey beautiful! Do I know you? Hah, I'm looking for someone who'll cheer for me in the finals!"
The brunette simply shot at him with a glare over her shoulder before leaving. "Get lost!"
Surprised by her response in such a hostile manner, Brandon only wanted to have some fun but could have said no. "Uh, but I…"
"Well, you seem to have some luck with the girls(!)"
Hearing a sarcastic remark from someone, he turned around to find Mal and her Digimon Palmon. "Oh, hey, Mal. Didn't think you were coming."
"Yeah, thought I'd come and check it out." In truth, she was forced to come when Mirta pleaded with her and had to use the puppy love trick on her, needlessly to say she was starting to be impressed by Mirta's manipulative skills or more cunning than she thought. "I see you've been busy lately."
Brandon sheepishly smiles and figures she saw that. "Yeah, it was just to get them to cheer for us in the finals. No big deal of getting competitive."
Rolling her eyes of how silly it was, but noticed something about that girl that just passed by. "By the way, who was that you tried chatting with anyway? Never seen her before."
"Huh? Oh, I thought she was from either Alfea or Cloud Tower." Brandon thought.
Mal wasn't sure why, but something about that girl felt strangely familiar and had a bad vibe coming from her. "Look, I better go and find the others. And if you see her again, let me know right away. Something about her I don't like."
Not sure what she meant, but took her advice. "Sure, by the way, if you're looking for Ben, he's in Alfea with Taren when the girls called over. Something about a bird I think, probably the same one that was causing some trouble."
Uncertain what he was on about, but decided to maybe ask them herself when she gets there.
"Wait, so Donald is here in Alfea while chasing this bird he thinks will cause trouble unless we help him catch it?" Ben brought Mal up on the events that had occurred when she arrived and couldn't believe it when they told her about the bird with the description of the one she remembered, almost thinking it was her imagination from a while ago. Guess she was right all along, and now Donald was around, chasing the bird.
"Yeah, it seems they have a history together and didn't seem happy to see the Aracuan." At least as much as Ben knew of how they interacted. "I mean, not like things can get bad as it sounds."
Right after he said it, they find the Aracuan Bird running past them with Donald chasing him without taking notice of the couple who simply watched as the bird stopped in front of the school lockers, opening one of them and jumped in to close behind him. Donald raced towards the locker door he believed the Aracuan Bird was hiding in, but found no trace of him. "Wha?"
Ari appeared in another locker, waving at him, this caused Donald to go to the other and get a pie in the face. Growls with frustration and wipes the cream from his face
Appearing in another and Donald rushed over to the next one, but to his shock was a flood of water with the Aracuan Bird in swim shorts and riding a surfboard to ride a wave.
Donald was soaked and drenched, shaking himself to dry off and growls with his teeth grinding. The Aracuan Bird appeared with a saxophone to play. "Stupid bird!" He yelled and opened another, this time the Aracuan was dressed in a marching band outfit, tossing a stick… while leading a marching band, Donald jumped out of the way and watched the band march out. "Missed me!" Unfortunately, luck was not on his side for what came out next was a group of old men in mini cars and an elephant to flatten the wizard duck.
The Aracuan made a run for it by running into the locker and closed it behind him.
Mal saw the whole thing and almost had no idea whether to laugh or feel somewhat pity for Donald, giving a glance at the Auradon King with a sheepish look on his face.
"Well, okay… maybe I might have spoken too soon." Decided to go check on Donald if he was okay. "Hey, Donald? You okay?"
"You look roughed up." Mal added, knowing that it might have been a stupid thing to ask.
"Exactly what is going on here?" Griselda marched over to them when she took notice of Donald's antics, crossing her arms and tapping her foot. "While it is a surprise of your visit, I would like to know what is all this racket on school grounds?"
Donald immediately recovered from his injuries and jumped up on his feet before answering her question. "It's that stupid bird!"
"Uh, what he meant to say, Ms Griselda was he was having… issues with the Aracuan Bird." Ben explains to the Head of Discipline.
Griselda was not certain what was going on, but would possibly decided let this slide for now. "Well, due to keeping this incident from the students, especially for the concert tonight as I'm sure you are fully aware of."
Aside from Donald, Ben and Mal who know exactly what she meant and nodded their heads to confirm. "Good, now I'm sure you can explain this to the Headmistress so be off then. So if you will excuse me." What they did not expect to see was watching the professor pull out a pin and prick herself, causing her body to pop like a balloon and be revealed to be the Aracuan Bird wearing another of his disguises. Pulls out a large pencil and using the rubber end to erase Donald out of thin air and sprints off.
Donald returned as if nothing happened, but annoyed once again to be deceived by the crazy bid. "I'll get that stupid bird if it's the last thing I do!" Runs off to chase the Aracuan Bird once more, leaving the teens behind with a trail of clouds.
Ben wasn't sure if they should do something or not in case Donald gets a little out of hand. "Uh, should we do something?"
"Hmm, nah. Think it'll work itself out." Mal didn't think it was something to do when she had been wanting to do this moment for a long time with Ben. "Besides, it's our break and rather spend time with my boyfriend than chasing ducks."
She took her hand in his then pulled away to go someplace as Ben figured she had made up her mind. They would find the girls in the Auditorium where they find Layla, Gomamon and a bord looking Stella watching Musa singing. Listening to her sing so well amazed the teens.
"Wow, Musa's really putting in some effort for the gig." Ben was amazed.
Even Mal had to admit despite being good at singing, Musa was more of a pro. When she was done, they all clapped and cheered.
"Bravo!" Layla applauded.
"Brilliant! The twenty-third time in a row." Stella said. "Just in time to have break for a snack. We all need refueling.
Musa didn't seem to want to take a break just yet and needed to be sure she was ready. "Not yet. Hand me the sax, I just want to go over it once more." She asked Stella, who threw the saxophone to her, causing Musa to jump and grabbed it before it could reach the ground after tossing the microphone aside. The Solarian didn't seem concerned and stuck out her tongue.
Musa was annoyed by her careless attitude of throwing such a delicate instrument, and how expensive it is. "Are you nuts?! This saxophone costs a fortune!"
"Hey, girls take it easy." Ben walks over to them with Mal, earning their attention to see them. "But you could at least show some support, Stella."
"Yeah, especially for someone who's really great." Mal said.
"Glad someone likes my performance." Musa appreciated their support. "I may have this concert in the bag.
"Musa, look who's here." They hear Saladin call out to Musa, accompanied by Faragonda and a third person who was a short fellow, gray hair with white streaks on the sides and balled on the top, blue eyes and has a large belly, he was wearing a red suit and pants, with a purple collared shirt and tan shoes.
"Daddy!" Musa squeeled as she was thrilled to see her father.
"Surprise!" They watch as Musa runs up to the man who was in fact her father and gave a warm affectionate hug. "Oh Musa, my little girl." He was very happy to see his daughter again and continued to hold her in his arms even when she was taller than him
Oblivious to anyone, they were being observed by Stormy in her disguise, finding the Winx, especially Musa and finding a sinister idea that would get to her with a grin on her face and tapping her fingers together. "Musa's porky little daddykins, very interesting."
"Faragonda invited me here. She said my girl is up to great things." Her father says. "But I thought I'd find you studying here at Alfea."
"A great concert will be given at the end of the annual tournament." Faragonda explains to him, knowing Musa has been working hard as a singer to take part in it. Walking to both father and daughter. "And since Musa is seriously considering becoming a professional singer, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity.
"And I appreciate that, but I didn't think you were gonna come daddy." Musa would have thought that her father would be happy for her, instead he looked away with disapproval, much to her confusion. "Dad? What's wrong?
Ho-Boe said nothing to his daughter until he spoke. "Musa, you're still thinking of becoming a singer."
Musa did not understand why as she had been wanting to be a professional singer her whole life and her love of music "Yes, I wanna do it. For me and mom.
But her father did not seem to approve of her decision. "Musa we have things to discuss and in private please."
She listens to her father rant about Riven and the way he did not approve of her dating him, Musa recalled how she introduced Riven to her father during their moments of building a relationship, but, let's just say it didn't turn out exactly as she had hoped as her father instantly dismissed him as a trouble maker. While it was at times that Riven might not be easy to get along with, but at least he's honest, he started to show some improvements to make this work and opening up to his friends after he was used by the Trix and Tezzeret. Yet she never thought what made him like this in the first place but didn't want to pry into his personal life, at least not yet when he's ready.
If her mother was still with them, she could perhaps give Riven a chance since her parents came from different lifestyles to fall in love.
"He's a disrespectful arrogant rebel who has no sense of responsibility!" Ho-Boe rants about Riven as if he was right,
"That's not true!" Musa argued as she won't let him talk about Riven that way by his judgemental attitude.
"Everybody said so." Ho-Boe told her as he heard some rumors from students and teachers from Red Fountain. "And what about the fights I heard about?
"He has a rivalry thing going on with the others, that's all." She argued back to defend Riven.
"Couldn't you have picked a prince at least?!" At least that's what he thought or maybe one of the heroes was a good match for his daughter. Anyone better than the delinquent she was going out with.
"Believe me, young lady. This will be your first and last concert." Ho-Boe announced to his daughter, much to Musa's shock of ruining her dreams of being a singer.
"What?! How can you say that? Music was your life!"
"I'm talking about your life. Where do you think all that dancing will get you when you're 30 or 40 years old? How will you support a family?" Her father tries to make his daughter see some sense of the decisions she is making, believing she would be throwing away a lifetime if she continues as a singer.
But Musa was not going to give up so easily and stay firm on her dream. "I want to be a singer, not a dancer, okay?"
"And that's exactly what I cannot let happen. Do you think I enjoy arguing with you?" He asked her out of worry.
"Maybe. Why else would you be stressing yourself out like this? You like being angry?!" Musa exclaimed dramatically.
He thought after the death of her mother would have taught her to avoid the tragic fate of her mother after her death, but clearly she didn't in his mind. "What happened to your mother hasn't taught you much, has it?"
"You and mom taught me to believe in my dreams and to fight for them! Ugh! How could you forget that?"
Hearing her brought up on her late mother made Ho-Boe narrow his eyes at his daughter, losing his wife was the worst thing that could happen to him and didn't want to lose his only child as well. He made up his mind and believed to be of her own good. "You shouldn't have said that Musa. You leave me no choice. I'm transferring you to another school. I'm sorry but one day, you'll understand.
Musa was utterly shocked and upset, unable to believe her father would do that to her. Breaking down into tears and collapsing to the grass, sobbing in her hands as her father leaves. Coming to her support was Layla who followed them outside and heard everything, rushing over to hold the crying Musa in her arms.
"If you want to talk, I'm right here okay?"
After gaining her bearings, Musa and Layla stood by the balcony to talk. Musa started with her parents, her father was a young musician who saw Musa's mother, Maitlin's first concert. Ho-Boe awkwardly approached Matlin and asked to sing a song he wrote, she agreed but went back home and he was able to write it in one night. The song was nothing special but her mother liked it and sang anyway, earning a joyful smile from her father. Her parents began seeing each other, which then turned into dating as they fell in love. Her parents lived and stayed by each other's sides after they married. But after a while, work became scarce and they struggled to earn enough money to support each other in their music careers, but didn't stop her father wanting to see Maitlin fulfill her dreams. Even gave her a fond nickname "Wa'nin".
When Musa was born, her father said she was the happiest thing in his being in a poor financial state, they were very happy with each other.
Layla listened as it brought fond memories back to Musa of her time with her parents when she was very young. But knew some things don't last forever, something must have happened to her mother to have had an affect on them. "So…what happened?
Musa maye have been young but she remembered the dreadful moment of her mother. "Mom got sick. We barely had enough money to buy food so never mind medicine. Mom died, there was nothing we could do."
She still remembered crying over her mother's body in a coffin full of flowers, begging her mother to wake up until she accepted that her mother was gone and broke her father's heart to even break the cello which scared her. "Dad never got over it. He didn't play a single note ever again. And I became the only thing in his life.
Layla started to get the idea and believed it's more of being protective of his daughter's well being than being controlling. The thought of her mother must have made him fear something could happen to Musa as well and didn't want to go through the thought of losing his only child. "You know, I think your father is just scared that if you follow a musical path, you'll end up like your mother.
"Oh Layla! I want to be the Fairy of Music and I don't want to lose either of you guys or my dad." Musa cries over the thought of not seeing them again.
"That'll never happen Musa. Just give a great show and don't worry about anything else, okay?" Layla assured her.
Hearing this may be what could have caused her father to behave this way, maybe it was that and she didn't realize it. She just needed to get her father to open up and show his daughter isn't vulnerable or weak. She wanted to stay in Alfea with all the friends she's made and didn't want to lose them. "Oh, Layla. I want to be the Fairy of Music and I don't want to lose either of you guys or my dad.
"That'll never happen Musa. Just give a great show and don't worry about anything else, okay?" Layla assured Musa
Remembering the memories of her time spending with her father as a child when they were happy together, she just needed to help heal his broken heart to let go of the pain. Not cause it to grow deeper, no doubt that her mother would want them to be happy for her. 'Some days are filled with joy and sunshine. Days you'll never forget.'
"WAACK! COME BACK 'ERE!"
The girls heard this squeaky voice of Donald still chasing the Aracuan Bird throughout the park. The Araucan ran straight up to a tree and hid in the bushes.
"Where are you hiding!" Donald barked, no idea where the bird went until he appeared behind Donald with a hose and a firefighter helmet, blasting Donald with water. The Duck grew frustrated and resumed the chase.
"That is one determined duck." Musa commented.
"No kidding."
The Aracuan ran into the cafeteria with Donald in pursuit, taking cover of the silver food cover and Donald leapt inside to go after him, without the waiter's awareness until he pics up the tray and serving it to Professor Defour who was among the guests for the concert. He lifted the cover, surprising them both of finding Donald sat in a bowl of soup. She did not seem pleased with her eyes narrowing on the duck. "I don't recall ordering duck soup."
Donald nervously chuckles of spoiling the guest's dinner when he was chasing the Aracuan.
"And I don't think he ordered tomatoes either, excuse me." The waiter pulled down a zipper, another disguise of the Aracuan and ran off.
"I'll get you!"
Tonight was the concert as they watched the performers show off their talents, large numbers of students and guests gathered in the stadium. Taren made it in time while no doubt Ben and Mal were having some time to themselves. Passing by a few to find the girls. So far, he had not seen Donald at the time.
He just made it to see Layla dancing on stage, and behind her were two dancers along with two pixies: chatta and Zing "Wow, she's really good." The redhead noticed someone else that he recognised. "Wait, is that Mirta?" Watching with interest how well they were doing and having so much fun as well. He could even see Gatomon among the group as well, twirling her tail and gloved claws with grace
"Hey, look who finally showed up." Hearing Stella's voice and finding the girls and the Specialists.
"Sorry, guys, I kinda got a little held up on stuff." Taren didn't think he was a little late.
Bloom didn't mind if he was but could have mentioned it. "Well, at least you came just in time."
"Look at Layla go! Yeah!" Stella cheers.
Taren was surprised, while watching the concert. "I didn't think Mirta would be in on it as well, unless I missed something."
"Layla needed another helping hand so she asked Mirta to try out." Flora smiles and waves her arms while dancing. "She's certainly got talent."
"Yeah, Mirta's really great." Taren had to admit but stuttered a little of what he said. "I mean, the first time seeing her this energetic and Layla's really got some moves."
Stella bumps her arm against him and giggles. "Careful now, the girls would get the wrong idea."
Taren tries to play ignorant of what she meant and quickly changes the subject. "Heard Musa's dad was around. She must have been thrilled."
Bloom didn't know what happened but clearly it was something to do with her wanting to be a singer. "I just hope it's nothing serious."
Riven didn't say anything as he knew what they meant when he met her father and didn't go as he thought it was. Didn't want to upset Musa, but was determined to prove the old man he was not as he was before for Musa's sake. Right now, he just wanted to come to the concert to listen to her singing.
"Hey, Stella, isn't it your turn next to sing with Musa?" Brandon asked, which made Stella jump in shock.
"Oh crap! I almost forgot!" She immediately sprinted off in such a hurry to get ready when almost forgetting her performance to make a duet song with Musa. Causing the girls to giggle with Bloom shaking her head with an amusing smile.
A few minutes later, the formerly dressed Codatorta stood beside Musa who was in a different set of clothes and took the microphone while they listened to the professor make his announcement. "And now ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to invite onstage the most radiant fairy at Alfea, Stella!"
The audiance cheers and claps as Stella walks onto the stage… until seh tripped over, earning a series of chuckles. Mal who saw this tried to hold back the snickering. Bloom facepalms but sighed in relief she wasn't hurt and immediately got back up
Musa smiles and waves to the audience with Stella beside her. "Thank you all!"
In the backstage, Donald was searching for the Aracuan Bird and believed to be nearby. He was keeping an eye out when suddenly saw the bird. "AH HA!" He pounced on the bird, only to suddenly hit into a wall with the bird only a painting. The real Aracuan stepped out and pulled the fake wall off to see the flatted Donald in a funny pose, he spun around, tying the wizard duck in wrapping paper and hoisted up by a robe to hurl him up high. After that, he sat close enough to the stage with a box of popcorn to eat when the fairies were about to sing as Musa went first.
If your smile disappears
And you're feelin' blue
Sing along with the wind that's blowin'
Both Musa and Stella then began to sway their hips and their free hands extended high above them.
There's a rhythm inside you
That won't stand still
You start to move and you find yourself dancin'
Spread your arms straight out
Like you're capturing in the sky
It's a song for you
And everything will be
As good as can be
And it'll seem a dream
The world around you starts to shimmer and gleam
Oh yeah
They continued to dance when Stella accidentally knocked over her microphone and quickly picked it up in her hands.
When the going gets tough and you feel too weak
Stella bumps into Musa while taking her part, earning a mild glare from her fellow singer.
Keep believing the voice that's within you
Musa smiles and resumes her singing.
It's a moment that won't last your whole life through
With some magic and love you can fix itLift you head up high
And be a shining star tonight
It's a song for you
And everything will be
As good as can be
And it'll seem a dream
The world around you starts to shimmer and gleam
Oh yeah
Musa and Stella waved their hands up high with the audience chanting with them when it was now coming to a close, although Stella seemed to have trouble keeping her microphone steady until she got hold of it to call out to the crowd. "You've been wonderful-whoa!" Accidentally makes the microphone fall, causing a static feedback. "Sorry."
As she makes her leaves the stage and once again the microphone began to wobble, causing the audience to panic.
"Ah! my ears!"
"Are you trying to make us deaf!" Mal yells from the audience in annoyance.
Taren groans and rubs his ears. "Next time, Stella performs, we get a set of ear plugs or not let her near a microphone again."
"No arguments here." Flora agreed with him.
Codatorta stood before the audience once more for another show. "And now to honor the founders of Red Fountain, our Specialists will perform for you this evening: the traditional fire dance!"
Brandon and Sky were in their light brown pants with red markings on their faces and bare chests, each holding a pole to perform a fire dance, twirling them in their hands.
"Wow, look at them go. Taren, why didn't you do that with them? It would have been your specialty with fire?" Flora asked him.
"I would have, but thought to let them do this one. Besides, I don't want to risk triggering something related to the Dragonflame." Taren gave a reason to them.
Bloom thought it would make sense, especially with his magic. Although she would have loved to see him do a fire dance. From what Sky explained, it was one of the tradition made by the original founders of the school and continued since then, no doubt they needed two people or the skill to do this stunt. She saw Mirta with Gatomon on her shoulder and calls out to them. "Hey, Mirta! Over here!"
Mirta hears Bloom's voice and smiles, coming over to them. "Hey, didn't think we found you."
"You were great out there, Mirta." Flora complimented her.
"Thanks, I didn't think I had it in me." Mirta thought to herself, but proved to have such talent.
"Well, you certainly surprised us." Taren gave her a soft grin, not aware of her cheeks flushing from his words and smiles bashfully.
"T-Thanks, I mean, it's nothing at all." She brushes the back of her head and not let her heart racing so much. "Musa and Stella did great on their part."
"Yeah, except for that last part." Gatomon muttered, having to have a pair of ears to hear almost anything does not go well with the feedback from the microphone that almost made her jump out of Mirta's arms in fright. She was still trying to rid the annoying ringing sounds in her eardrums.
Elsehwere in the crowed, Ben was enjoying the show and was smiling. "They're really good at it. Maybe I could try that out"
"R-Really?" Thinking of Ben doing that would be dangerous to the concerning Mal, on the other hand, would find it attractive in her case. "I mean, well, if you good enough that is."
Ben chuckled and patted her on the shoulder. "No worries, I wouldn't risk it without getting burned." He suddenly noticed something was slightly off of Brandon. "Uh, Brandon looks a little off for a moment."
Watching Brandon get knocked over by Sky's fire stick. Mal would have said something until she spotted the girl from earlier. She knew something about her was familiar and not right. "Ben, come on."
"Wha-what's wrong." Ben didn't know what was the matter with his girlfriend as she tugged his arm.
"Follow me, that girl is up to something." Mal had no time to explain as she tried to go after that brunette girl, only a bit slow with so many people gathered.
With Musa's final performance coming up, she warmed up her singing voice to be ready while this was her moment. Their friends nto present were going to cheer them on, along with their Digimon partners to enjoy her solo act.
Stella comes over to Musa with Layla peeking through the curtains. "Here, let me freshen you up." Patting the blush on her cheeks "Relax girl, you'll do great."
While she takes Stella's words of encouragement, she still feels nervous about it. "It's just the first note, I'm afraid I'm gonna lose it."
The girls spotted Donald, who was covered in bandages and looked really annoyed. "Still chasing that Aracuan?" Stella knew that it was obvious.
"Stupid bird, I'll show him." Donald growls, suddenly stops and gives a smile to Musa. "Oh, good luck with your singing, Musa."
"Aw, thanks." At least she appreciated some compliments.
"If you see any sign of that bird, let me know and don't let him out of your sight." Oblivious to the duck, the Aracuan was right behind him, making goofy expressions and following Donald's movements. The girls did all they could to not blow his cover as they found it funny.
"Don't worry, we'll let you know." Layla assures him as he leaves with the bird following the oblivious mage. Not certain how long he'll notice until they hear a quacking yell.
Layla caught sight of two female elves arriving, entering the concert and taking their seats."Hey Musa, the elf muses came to hear your solo!"
"Shouldn't tell her that." Stella told her as it could jinx Musa's chances.
"Ladies and gentlemen, fairies, witches, and Specialists..."
Musa covered her ears, Stella assumed she was gonna panic. "Uh-oh, she's gonna lose her note."
"It is with the greatest pride that I present to you our next performer. The real star of this evening...
Musa didn't want to mess this up, not after comignt his far to achieve her big gig. Hoping her father be there to watch her and praying to her mother. "Please mom, be with me now."
"Please welcome Musa!"
Musa took her guitar and clears her throat before the curtains were pulled. Walks to the stage and gives the audience a big wave and a smile.
Riven was surprised to see her, but was happy she was on stage now.
"This is a song I wrote called "A Sky Without Moon and Stars"."
There's an emptiness you left
No one else can ever fill
Now you're gone and in my heart
There's a pain that just won't heal
Riven was smiling as he listen to her musical voice, he never knew how soothing and beautiful she sounded. Taren smiles to listen to her music when suddenly feels both his arms embraced by both Bloom and Flora embracing him. He smiles at them and embraces them as well lovingly.
Catching a glance of Mirta holding Gatomon in her arms, lglancing at him and gave a warm yet shy smile as he did so as well.
Here in this silence
I hear your voice
Ringing in my ear
Now that I know
You're not here with me
The things I did mean nothing now Layla was listening to her song and was soothed by the words of her song, awith Piff and Gomamon beside her, she shares a warm smile with them to enjoy this together.
Mal leant against Ben while listening with a smile.
The one who was most affected by her song, was her father. Lost for words as he did nothing but listen on the words of his daughter's song, realising what they meant and moved by such an incredible gift from his daughter. She was no longer the little girl she use to be, and reminded him so much of his beloved Wa-Nin.
I'm like a frozen river that
Can flow no more
I'm here alone
Under a sky without moon and stars
I'm here without you by my side
Under a sky without moon and stars
Oh, no, no, no
Under a sky without moon and stars
The pixies floating above the girls dance while flying, tearing up of how beautiful Musa sings when someone handed them tissues, including Bloom and Flora who took a tissue to wipe the tears from their eyes. "There you go, little one. Tissues for the sensitive souls."
"You got a bigger box for this one?" Taren groans when he was clutched tight around the leg by Agumon, crying like a fountain made by his tears when being so moved by Muse's song, he didn't think it made his partner into an emotional crybaby. "Cut it out, Agumon! You're getting my clothes wet!"
"I'm not crying! I just got something I-in my eye!"
Ben chuckled and smiles at the sight of them. "Boy, she really had such an affect on everyone. What do you think, Mal? Mal?" He turned to see where she was and what he saw almost stunned him. Kneeling on the ground was Mal hugging Palmon, both crying their tears like a fountain, it completely overwhelmed Ben to see her in such a state. "Woah! Her song must be really powerful than I thought."
As Musa finished her song, it moved Ho-Boe to tears, filled with joy and pride of how much his daughter has grown and so much like her mother.
The Audience cheers to her performance, he joined in to applaud to his daughter. Unknown to anyone, Stormy came within reach and disposed of her disguise, using her Gloomix powers to attack Ho-Boe in the back, causing him to fall to the ground in pain and stunned the crowed who witnessed the attack.
Musa finishes her songs. Ho-Boe sobs as well. Audience cheers. Stormy gets rid of her disguise by using her Gloomix powers. She attacks Ho-Boe.
"Dad! Oh no!" Musa cries out to her father who was in danger with Stormy who was the cause of it.
Ho-Boe groaned in pain after the attack, thankfully he was not hurt too badly, looking over to find his attacker was a witch.
"You all better relax or the old man will lose more of his hair." Stormy warns them as she intends to do it if they try anything. She turns her full attention to Musa. "Musa, I want you and only you."
Musa didn't want her father to get hurt because of her fight with Stormy. "Let my dad go and he's got nothing to do with this!"
"If you love this weak, pathetic old man, come take his place. And if he moves another inch, he's gonna share your ugly fate!" She blasts another bolt of magic at him, but this time was
Musa just had enough with Stormy, not taking any more of her torment and decided to settle this for good. "Alright Stormy, you asked for it. I'll take you on. Magic Winx!" Transforming into her Winx form.
"Fire away. But think what your sonic bombs will do to these people. Do you really wanna hurt them?" As much as Musa hate to admit it, she couldn't risk the people getting hurt. Bringing out her Titan for backup would not be a good idea if Stormy had something up her sleeve like using her father as a hostage.
Unable to risk his daughter being put in danger because of him. "Musa, please!"
Without saying a word, Musa lands and walks up closer on stage. Her friends couldn't risk getting involved even if they had numbers on their side when her father was at risk.
"No Musa, don't give in to her!" Flora pleaded with her to not throw away her life.
Donald found it a dirty move and was ready to teach the witch a thing or two using his magic. "That sneaky witch! Let me at her!" He was restrained by Gabumon and Palmon to stop him.
Thinking she had the upper hand with no one coming to stop her, Stormy grins. "Good, Musa. We both know who's the strongest one here."
Mal growls and clutches her fists, unable to believe it was Stormy and she let her slip when she had a chance. But she noticed something was odd about how Musa easily complied and decided to wait for what happened next, if she makes it right, she can use her shadow to save Musa's father out of danger. Before they could do anything, Musa spoke out to the crowd.
"Listen, I need each and every one of you to help me. Let's all sing together."
Taken aback by her sudden request, her friends wondered what Musa was thinking until the fairy started to make a humming sound while singing.
Stormy didn't know if she was trying a fool of herself, but found it amusing and pathetic in her belief. "A sad song. How appropriate."
But for Riven, he realized what she was up to and decided to help her out. "Sing! Come on, you idiots! Do what Musa says! Sing along everyone!" Calling out for everyone to sing with her. "Trust Musa, she knows what she's doing. Come on, sing!"
Mal gets what he meant as this was what she wanted. "Think I get what she's doing. Better do it."
Ben nodded. "Let's hope this works."
Everyone started to join in to sing alongside Musa, she waves her hands in a gesture for everyone to sing louder.
"That's it! Don't be shy!" Riven runs through the crowd to get more people to join.
For Stormy, she had no idea what was going on. "Is this supposed to prove something?" Had she been aware or realized her biggest mistake was that Musa was the fairy of music and sound. With more people singing and joining her to give a positive aura, Musa would channel the powers of music. Overpowering the witch as the Fairy of music grows ever so stronger.
"I feel the strength of your song!"
Musa created a bright light that shunned across the stadium, causing a side-effect to Stormy's power. The witch was baffled and felt her strength weakening. "Oh no! What's happening to my powers!?"
The ball of light flew towards Stormy, engulfing her in so much light that it blinded her. Unable to believe it, once again she was outsmarted by her rival. "AHH! Damn you, Musa!"
"Stormy has left the building!" Musa proclaims, the sheer force of her power overwhelmed the witch, sending her hurtling into the sky.
They could hear Stormy's distant cry as she was further away by the distance. "NOOOOOO!"
"Good riddance to uninvited guests." Taren chuckled as they celebrated her defeat and cheered for Musa's victory.
With the danger passed, Musa de-transformed and collapsed, feeling exhausted from all that energy, but was relieved it was over for the night and her father was saved.
Stella rushed over to Musa's side. "Musa that was so cool!" She complimented before Layla rushed over to hug her.
Amore along with Piff and Livy beside her. "The magic was so strong! Do you think Stormy is…"
"Don't worry, the magic of a love song has never hurt anybody." Musa assured her, knowing Stormy is alive but would be very annoyed by the time she recovers without a doubt. "You'll see. We'll hear from Stormy yet."
Riven was about to congratulate Musa when he spotted Ho-Boe on the floor after he was injured by Stormy. Coming over to him straight away to help him up. "Sir, are you okay? Are you hurt?"
Unexpectedly for Ho-Boe to see Riven again, and this time showing a different side he didn't expect to see. Maybe he might have judged him too badly and not given a chance after what he did for Musa. Smiles and accepts his hand to help him up. "Thanks, Riven. Guess I was wrong about you."
"No worries, I get that alot. I have some friends who can heal you right away if you like." Riven wanted to be sure he wasn't too hurt to worry Musa.
Musa saw them and smiled to see them getting along as her father seemed much happier than before. "Dad, Riven…"
Believing somewhere in the heavens, her mother was smiling at them to be happy again.
After the whole fiasco, they finally managed to get the Aracuan Bird without any trouble (apart from Donald most of all). Faragonda was informed of what happened and offered to send them back to their world with Taren and Bloom present.
"Well, considering it has been an interesting day and no one was hurt." Faragonda was relieved and yet was proud of Musa's bravery and quick thinking. "Musa certainly has a bright future as a fairy and a potential singer, the muses were awfully impressed."
"I'm so happy for Musa, she must have been thrilled." Bloom was very happy for her friend.
"Least her dad is okay." Taren heard about what happened about her father wanting to transfer Musa to another school, but after watching Musa's solo act he had a change of heart and now much happier than ever. "He even started to get along with Riven."
Bloom nodded and smiled at the Aracuan Bird. "Okay, little fella, time for you to head home and have a lot of fun."
"I gotta get back or Daisy will kill me! Not to mention his majesty is wondering where I am!" Donald was very eager to get back home and not deal with the Aracuan any longer, giving him a wave.
The Aracuan Bird then gave a sad wave to them goodbye with a tear running down his beak and walks away. Seeing this made Bloom feel bad for and had an idea. "You know, there's a club King Mickey is running and could ask him to let him come as a guest." Oblivious to her suggestion made Donald flinched.
Even Taren liked the idea. "Yeah, I bet Mickey would love it."
The Aracuan lept into her arms and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
But for Donald, it was the worst thing to ever think of.
The Aracuan Bird as a special guest?
He could cause trouble and mayhem?
He'll destroy the Clubhouse!
"OH NO!" Donald sprinted onto the teens as the startled headmistress watched him suddenly sealed the bird in a tight wooden box with chains, leaving the two redheads suddenly dizzy while Donald runs to take the crate and passed it over to the Aracuan dressed as a railway staff on a train and drove into the distance.
The others were not pleased by Donald's actions as they coudl have sent him back anyway. "Really, Donald, that wasn't nice." Bloom scolded him until she was surprised that he was in fact another disguise. "The Aracuan Bird?"
"So then... who was it in that crate?" Taren pondered. But had a simple idea who.
"Gosh, wonder where Donald is when we need to get ready for the show." King Mickey was getting his suit on for the guests when suddenly he heard a knock on the door. "Coming." Opens it to find a parcel and signs it. Curious to what was inside and opens it, finding was Donald. "Donald? What are you doing in there?"
"Your majesty! I was sent to Alfea! That Aracuan Bird was there somehow pulled me out of there and there! Then- then-"
Mickey stopped him to know what he was trying to say. "Now let me get this straight, you were in the Magic Dimension, sent by the Aracuan Bird who was already there and somehow chased him around in Magix?"
"Yeah! Yeah!" Donald exclaimed, nodding his head.
"Right, don't you think that's a little far fetched. But least you're hear in time for tonight."
"But-but, but-" It was pointless to Donald to convinced him, but least he no longer had to deal with the bird.
Mickey almost forgot something to bring up. "Oh, by the way we had thought of inviting someone for a guest appearance and thought if you would not mind. Somone like the Aracuan Bird."
Hearing the name utterly shocked Donald of the name, it caused him to lose his mind and collapsed, surprising the baffled king. "Donald? gee, wonder what got into him."
Apologies being a bit slow which my bad while I was away on holiday. Took some time to get it done. Seems Donald can't get a break. Updates, will be skipping the halloween episode and straight to the second codex piece. Also thinking of using some elements from the comics to look into but a lot so maybe a few, if you know some feel free as I mentioned earlier to use some from Diaspro's back story which had better backstory and development than the animated version by the look of it.
Also been aware of the newest Final Fantasy game and told about some ideas which I might be tempted to use. Along with something to end the Trix which I don't intend to make them long lasting enemies, sorry for any fans as I have ideas for them as well, especially for the Dark Bloom idea that I was given be very interesting and surprise you.
Open for ideas for future adventures and be looking into some worlds they will visit and also some interactions with the Kaijudo world also.
