Ferrari Benz- Into Thin Air D6F

Hey Careers! I thought you'd like to know Braddock is on the sixth floor. Also he has a head injury, so he's probably pretty slow and easy to catch right now. How do I know, this, you ask, unless I'm also on the sixth floor and this is really stupid? Well first off, I could just post this then run real fast to another floor. But second off, yes, you're right, but I just hate Brad enough I am willing to give my location away in order to screw him.- RocketRacer

Fable Anders- A Night To Remember D1F

Hi, Jessie. I didn't know what to do, so I ran away. It wasn't because I thought you were going to kill me. I just thought there was no good way out for any of us so this would be the easiest. I miss you. I guess it probably won't happen, but maybe we can find each other again. Maybe the Twos won't even ally. Not trying to roast, but you're all not exactly the hand-holding type. Or maybe some of them will and they'll kill each other and we'll be the only ones left. If not, I'll see you next time. We'll always find each other.- Storyteller

Majesty Miraval- Wandering Souls D1M

I loved the sound of laughter. What a lovely, melodic sound. Of course I headed toward it when I heard it. Not too many people kept their sense of humor in the Games. Whoever it was, I'd have to congratulate them. I did hope I was invited to the party. I had my own entertainment I could bring. Before Arleen so cruelly abandoned me, she'd bottled up one more batch of our special mix after perfecting it from the sample we got at the feast. That should bring some life into the party!

It was probably rude to smile when I saw the sign. It really was funny, though. Whoever was laughing was in a pediatric cancer ward. Surely that was the funniest of wards.

"It's an Eau de Vitamin," Tabitha said, pronouncing "vitamin" as "vee-ta-MEEN." She gestured fancily at her creation: a clear glass layered with blue, white, and pink pediatric drinks with scalloped sides made by careful insertion of a popsicle stick. She pushed the glass down the table to Nene, who scooped it up.
"Pretty gross," she said brightly. It was the same score all our cocktails had gotten, including my very patriotic "Panem, My Panem" with yellow pineapple drink and red cherry drink, and Nene's own "It's Pink!", which had strawberry, watermelon, and cherry layers.

"Ooh, what's this?"

Tabitha ran to me as we all turned and saw Majesty in the doorway. I was about to throw the table up for cover when I noticed he wasn't armed.

"Get out of here!" Nene almost yelled. She started toward her gun bag, which was on the other side of me and Tabitha.

"Cocktails?" Majesty asked. His hand went to his side. "What luck! I brought one too!" A glass vial tumbled through the air and shattered.

There was the sound of shattering glass, and then the air tickled in my lungs. I went to exhale but it came out in a laugh instead. I was still trying to figure out what was happening when suddenly I was laughing so hard my chest hurt. There was nothing funny happening at all. The laughs were just happening- just tearing out of me. It was terrifying. It was like when I was little and my aunt used to hold me down and tickle me. She thought we were just having fun but I hated it hated it hated it. I hated how my body moved when I didn't want it to, and the horrible feeling of her fingers poking me, and how I couldn't make it stop.

I threw my hands up over my ears. It was all TOO MUCH and even not being able to hear would help. Maybe being in pain will let me stop? I grabbed a handful of my hair and pulled. It didn't let me stop, but it somehow felt good. I tried to scream and hated that it just sounded like I was laughing.

I couldn't rise from my hands and knees. I could feel myself slowly suffocating, but I couldn't stop laughing. I was helpless as Majesty walked past me and to the table. He picked up one of the glasses and threw it to the ground. It shattered, the sound dulled by the thick nutrition shake inside. He picked up a shard with one smooth edge and came toward me.

I can't stop him, I thought as his arm raised. He's going to kill me. His arm came down. Then he'll kill Nene. I could hear her sobbing between her laughs. He'll kill Tabitha last. My blood flowed down my neck as he giggled and stabbed again. He'd kill her last, since she was the least likely to somehow fight back. Tabitha would watch us die and she would watch him walk toward her. She would feel the jagged pain I felt knifing through my skin right now. I couldn't stop him.

I didn't know why I was giggling. I didn't know why I was giggling at all, and I also didn't know why I was giggling when Nene and Richard were both laughing hysterically. Obviously it was caused by Majesty's vial, but why was it milder for me? It felt like my limbs were jelly, but I could still crawl, and so I did. I crawled toward Nene's bag, hoping Majesty wouldn't notice me. I should have gone slowly so I wouldn't attract attention, but I couldn't- not when Richard was making those noises. I looked over and saw him for only a second before tears blurred him. I held my breath so I wouldn't whimper at the sight.

Please let me help someone. Majesty was already getting up to move to his next target. I pulled Nene's bag open and took out her gun.

The boy was done for. He wasn't even weakly swatting at me anymore. I looked down at him for a second, smiling at his bleeding, laughing form, before I turned to the girl. She was lying on her side, trying to scoot away from me with her floppy legs. When I was done with her, I'd get the last one. If I remembered right, they said she was a clown. Oh, how I'd make her laugh.

From the corner of my eye, I saw someone moving. I turned as the girl from Three finished standing, bracing her hand on the table to support herself. There were tears on her face and she was whimpering through her giggles. I mentally cursed Arleen. Stupid waste couldn't make this batch right either. It was only then that I noticed the gun in her hand. Her giggles quieted as she opened her mouth.

"You're not funny."

The shot exploded out of the gun. It was like someone had taken both hands on my chest and shoved with all their strength. I lay on my back, the sweet sound of the Six girl's laughing still ringing- along with the actual ringing- in my ears.

The girl stood over me, her face pale and her eyes reddened. I took in a breath to laugh. It came out colored by the blood in my mouth. I must have been moving too much, since she raised the gun again. What a world. What a life. Killed by a little girl. Isn't that just a little funny?

Richard wasn't laughing when I knelt by him. I went to press my hands on his wound, but I didn't know where to do. There were so many. He was so pale. I'd never seen him look so weak. It was wrong. It was wrong for Richard to be weak.

Richard was crying. He tried to reach up his arms and hug me. I whimpered as I picked his big arm up in mine and ducked underneath it against his chest, like he was hlding me. "It's okay," I said, my voice breaking. "He didn't get me." I knew it was what he was worried about most. I lay against him, his blood soaking into me as his grip grew weaker. I could hear Nene starting to recover behind us. I should have gone to help her, but I couldn't bear it. I couldn't bear to leave Richard. I knew in seconds my big, strong friend would go quiet and still. Why did the world have to be so beautiful? It made it so hard to lose a piece of it.

Richard's arm moved weakly. I felt his fingers stroke my hair.

"I love you," he whispered.

"I love you, too."

44th place: Majesty Miraval- Shot by Tabitha

Not just shot, but double-tapped. Tabitha don't play around, except when she is playing around, which is usually. We all knew Majesty wasn't going to win, so no surprises here. This time around I went for a more classic TAS Batman homage rather than the Dark Ages-era comic homage of his first story, so we got some more charisma and personality. Naturally that meant he had to go out in classic Return of the Joker style, and it just lined up perfectly for Tabitha to be the one making the shot. Maybe Majesty rest in peace, since he certainly had no peace in life.

43rd place: Richard Franklin- stabbed by Majesty

Richard was the strongest-looking (though Nene is also quite formidable, Richard had the visual edge as a big huge fat muscular guy). He's a noble enough guy that he was happy Majesty didn't go for Nene first, and of course he would have given anything to stop Richard from going for Tabitha. For this scene to have max emotional weight, someone had to die, and it was more emotional if it was Tabitha's best remaining friend in the arena rather than her newer friend Nene. If Tabitha had been the last one alive, she might not have pulled that trigger, but for Richard there was no hesitation. Let that be his legacy, that such a pure character loved him so much.
