Human AU, playful innuendo

Felix felt the cushion move beside him as he read his book on the couch, a pair of legs draping themselves over his lap.

Turning a page, he absentmindedly placed a hand on his lady's knee, acknowledging her presence. The connection, however, was short lived, as he lifted it to turn a page of his book again.

Tamora shifted, retracting her limbs to unapologetically snake her body over his thighs, forcing him to lift his book upwards to accommodate her. The handyman chuckled softly as she settled down on her stomach, using a pillow to support her torso.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

She tilted her head, silently peering back at him from over her shoulder.

"Hmm," he shrugged, setting his reading material on her rear. "Well, thank you for the lovely bookrest."

The sergeant huffed as he continued his business. He had more patience for her antics than she'd thought. But before she could take her next move, Felix made his, placing his hand on the back of her thigh, his thumb grazing tantalizingly close to where she wanted it.

Refusing to be outdone, she swiftly bent her leg, expertly snapping his book shut with her foot.

"Hey!" the handyman laughed, taking the manual in both hands and lightly smacking her bottom with it. "I was reading that."

"You should learn to read your wife," Tamora deadpanned, rolling over on her back.

"I believe I asked you what you were doing," Felix grinned, hovering over her.

She refused to respond, instead, further spelling things out by raking her nails across his back.

A shiver followed her trail along his spine, and he understood his lady loud and clear. Tossing the book aside, he pored over her, completely captivated as they tangled on the sofa.
