"Morning," Felix leaned on the back porch railing beside his wife, pecking her cheek before taking a sip of his coffee. "Enjoying the view?"
"Mmhm," Tamora pressed her lips together in an almost guilty smile as she peered below them. The handyman followed her gaze.
"Oh!" his head tilted slightly, eyebrows raised. "Oh I seeā¦"
Down below, just off the porch steps, Ralph was shirtless as he placed down a section of log to split into firewood. The couple above watched in silence as the large man swung down his axe, breaking the piece in two.
"Damn," Tamora said under breath, taking a swig from her own mug. Felix quietly nodded; he could not blame her in the slightest.
Finishing quartering the wood, Ralph reached for his water bottle, catching the couple above him in his periphery. Locking eyes with them, Felix took a couple steps back to hide from embarrassment, while Tamora simply raised her mug.
With a grin, Ralph raised his bottle to complete the 'toast.' Instead of taking a drink, he dumped the water out on himself, making the sergeant laugh.
Felix cautiously stepped back up to the landing, curious. His lady elbowed his side with a devious look.
"Why don't you go down there and join him?" she suggested, tugging at the bottom of his neatly tucked shirt.
"Tammy!" The handyman's face glowed brightly as he tried to escape her nimble fingers. "Is your coffee Irish?"
"Go!" the blonde gave him an encouraging smack to the rear.
"Vanellope will wake up any minute," he pouted, but took off his shirt anyway.
"Oh you're not doing anything wrong," Tamora waved him down the stairs.
"Yeah Felix," Ralph decided to get in on the teasing. As a joke formed in his mind, he could hardly hold in his laughter. "We'll just be two guys, slammin' some wood!"
