Felix closed the door and instantly felt a pair of eyes watching him. Locking the bolt, he turned, spotting Tamora's figure on the living room couch. Her eyes seemed to glow in the dimly lit space as she stared at the handyman hungrily.

Felix stared back as he stood in the entryway, hastily removing his tool belt and placing it on its designated hook.

"You got home fast," he said coolly.

"So did you," Tamora smiled.

"I was going to light some candles; get the mood going," Felix closed their distance, placing a kiss on his lady's hand. "But something tells me we're already on the same page…"

The sergeant leaned forward on the cushions, capturing the handyman's lips with hers. A fire ignited between them instantly; breaths getting heavy and hands grasping frantically.

Knock, knock, knock.

"Aaaugh…" Felix growled uncharacteristically. Not now.

The couple paused, unsure what move to make next. Perhaps whoever was at their door would leave.

"Felix, I know you're in there," came Gene's muffled voice. "I need you for something."

"Mods alive…" Felix sighed when the Nicelander knocked once more. He looked up at his lady apologetically. "Are you able to ignore that?"

"Yeah," Tamora raised her brow quizzically. "Are you?"

"Felix? Hellooo? Do I need to use my keys?"

The handyman groaned, seemingly in defeat as he reluctantly left his lady on the couch. Stepping up to the door, the handyman paused as he reached the handle.

In one swift motion, Felix secured the secondary bolt up top and ran back to Tamora's arms.

"Did you just latch the security lock?! Felix?!" A few more fervent knocks echoed in the apartment.

With a mixture of amusement and adrenaline, the couple quickly picked up where they left off, the fussy sounds of the mayor quickly fading into the background as they focused solely on each other.
