Kalos Power Plant (Part Two)
The group finds themselves in a large round room with a round walkway going around what appeared to be a satellite dish pointing upward; above the walkway was a superconducting ring.
"Boy; this looks neato!" said Jonny.
"Double D would flip if he saw this." said Nazz.
"Come on, let's get rid of these Team Flare dorks so we can get the power back on and get to Lumiose City for our gym battles." said Kevin.
"Hey, you!" the group hears someone yell out. They look to see a Team Flare member approaching them.
"Rolf will battle him." said Rolf. The Team Flare member throws his pokeball, releasing a large, black and gray, canine Pokemon.
"What's that thing?" asked Kevin. He takes out the pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Mightyena, the Bite Pokemon, and the evolved form of Poochyena. It chases down prey in a pack of around ten. They defeat foes with perfectly coordinated teamwork." said the pokedex.
"The pokedex says it's a dark type Pokemon; so a bug type, fighting type, or fairy type will be good against it." said Jonny.
"Catch up as soon as you're done, dude." said Kevin as he, Jonny, and Nazz go on ahead. Rolf throws his, releasing his Beedrill.
"Beedrill, use Twineedle!" said Rolf. Beedrill flies at the Mightyena and jabs it with her arm stingers, doing super effective damage. The Mightyena started to look a little sick. "Rolf's Beedrill's Twineedle has poisoned your Pokemon."
"Yeah, but Mightyena has the Quick Feet ability which gives it a speed boost when it has a status condition." said the Team Flare member. "Mightyena, use Crunch!" The Mightyena runs at Beedrill and bites down on her, doing damage, and lowering her defense. "Now use Tackle!" The Mightyena charges at Beedrill and rams her.
"Beedrill, use Pin Missile!" said Rolf. Beedrill quickly recovers and fires off a barrage of large green stingers from her arms, hitting Mightyena multiple times, doing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"NOOOO!" shouts the Team Flare member.
"Rolf's Beedrill is the winner!" said Rolf. The Team Flare member growls as he throws pokedollars at Rolf and runs off somewhere.
Meanwhile with the others, they were staring down another Team Flare member.
"I got this one." said Jonny as he steps forward while pulling a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Get him, man." said Kevin as he and Nazz run past the Team Flare member who pulls out a pokeball and tossing it, releasing a Scraggy.
"Go, Ninjask!" said Jonny, throwing Ninjask's pokeball and releasing him. "Ninjask, use Fury Cutter!" Ninjask flies at Scraggy and swings his forearm at it, hitting it.
"Scraggy, Payback!" said the Team Flare member. Scraggy leaps at Ninjaska and punches him. Ninjask begins surging with energy and his speed increases, courtesy of his Speed Boost ability.
"Fury Cutter again!" said Jonny. Ninjask flies at Scraggy with incredible speed and slashes it with his forearm, doing more damage due to Fury Cutter's power being increased.
"Scraggy, Headbutt!" said the Team Flare member. Scraggy leaps at Ninjask and headbutts it, knocking him back. Ninjask gets another speed boost from his Speed Boost.
"Fury Cutter one more time!" said Jonny. Ninjask flies at Scraggy and hits it with an even more power Fury Cutter, knocking it out.
"NO!" yelled the Team Flare member.
"Way to go, Ninjask." said Jonny. The Team Flare member returns Scraggy to its pokeball. He takes another pokeball out of his pocket and releases a Golbat. Knowing Golbat had an advantage over Ninjask, Jonny returns him to his pokeball and pulls out another pokeball. "Go, Charmeleon!" He throws Charmeleon's pokeball and releases him. "Charmeleon, Fire Fang!" Charmeleon leaps at Golbat while his mouth was covered in flames and bites onto it, hurting it. Golbat became covered in flames. "Looks like Golbat's burned."
"It'll take more than that to stop us!" said the Team Flare member. "Golbat, Air Cutter!" Golbat flaps its wings and releases blue blades of energy that hits Charmeleon, knocking him back.
"Charmeleon, Flame Burst!" said Jonny. Charmeleon fires a fireball out of his mouth, and it hits Golbat, knocking it out. "We win!" Charmeleon nods in response. The Team Flare member returns Golbat to its pokeball.
"You got lucky, kid." said the Team Flare member and he tosses pokedollars at Jonny and runs away.
With Kevin and Nazz, Nazz's Dedenne was facing a Team Flare member's Golbat.
"All right, Dedenne, use Nuzzle!" said Nazz. Dedenne runs towards Golbat and jumps at it; she nuzzles Golbat with her cheek and shocks it, dealing major damage due to Dedenne's new Zap Plate powering up her electric type moves. Golbat begins twitching and becomes covered in static.
"Golbat's paralyzed." said Kevin.
"Golbat, try using Swift!" said the Team Flare member. Golbat spreads his wings, but paralysis stops it.
"Volt Switch!" said Nazz. Dedenne forms a ball of electricity in her hands and launches it at Golbat, hitting it, dealing super effective damage and knocking it out. Dedenne returns to her pokeball. "Why did Dedenne return to her pokeball?"
"I think Volt Switch returns the Pokemon that uses it to its pokeball." said Kevin. Another of Nazz's pokeballs opens up, releasing her Florges. "And another Pokemon takes its place." The Team Flare member returns Golbat to its pokeball and throws another pokeball, releasing a Mighyena. "Okay, Florges, use Petal Dance!" Florges jumps up and spins around, releasing pink petals from her body and they hit Mightyena, doing more damage due to Florges' Rose Incense powering up her grass type attacks.
"Mightyena, Assurance!" said the Team Flare member. Mightyena charges at Florges and rams her, knocking her back. Florges releases another barrage of pink petals that hit Mightyena again, knocking it out.
"Oh yeah; Petal Dance keeps going." said Nazz. The Team Flare member growls and returns Mightyena to its pokeball. He tosses pokedollars at Nazz and leaves. Rolf and Jonny catch up with her and Kevin while she picks up pokedollars.
"Let's keep going." said Kevin. They travel along the walkway until they soon encounter another Team Flare member.
"How many of these guys are there?" asked Nazz.
"Doesn't matter." said Kevin. "We'll take them all on if we have to. Also, it's good experience for our Pokemon, and more pokedollars for us."
"Good point, Kevin." said Jonny. "You take this one; it's your turn."
"You're not going to get away with defeating my fellow Team Star members!" said the Team Flare member as he throws a pokeball, releasing a large, purple, bloblike Pokemon with two long yellow whiskers, and a diamond pattern going around its waist.
"What's that?" asked Jonny. Kevin takes out the pokedex and uses it to see what the new Pokemon was.
"Swalot, the Poison Bag Pokemon, and the evolved form of Gulpin. It gulps anything that fits in its mouth. Its special enzymes can dissolve anything." said the pokedex.
"If it's the evolved form of Gulpin, that means that it's probably a poison type." said Jonny. Kevin nods as he takes out a pokeball and throws it, releasing his Golett.
"Okay, Golett; use Magnitude!" said Kevin. Golett stomps on the ground, sending a shockwave through the walkway towards the Swalot, hitting it, and doing super effective damage. Everyone else holds onto the railing as the walkway shook.
"Careful, Kevin!" said Nazz. "We don't want to fall off!"
"Sorry, Nazz." Kevin sheepishly said.
"Swalot, use Sludge!" said the Team Flare member. Swalot launches a large blob of black sludge from its mouth, hitting Golett, who doesn't really feel it.
"Okay, Golett! Use Mega Punch!" said Kevin. Golett charges at the Swalot and thrusts its fist into its face, knocking it back. "Gotta love Golett's Iron Fist ability."
"Swalot, use Acid!" said the Team Flare member. The Swalot launches an orange liquid from its mouth, and it covers Golett's chest, not doing much.
"Don't waste time using poison type moves." said Kevin. "Golett is part ground and part ghost; poison type moves are practically no good against it."
"Finish this, Kev!" said Jonny.
"You got it!" said Kevin. "Golett, use Mud-Slap!" Golett launches a glob of mud from its hand into the Swalot's face, doing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Kevin has won!" cheered Rolf.
"You won't get away with this!" said the Team Flare member as he tosses pokedollars to the floor and runs off.
"What a dork." said Kevin as he picks up the pokedollars and heads down the walkway with his friends following after him. After defeating two more members of Team Flare, the group reaches the generator. Standing in front of it was a bald-headed man, dressed in a white suit over a red shirt and tie, red gloves, white shoes, and white sunglasses with red lens. Next to him was a woman with orange hair, wearing high tech glasses over her eyes, a red and white long-sleeved shirt, red and black skirt, red gloves, and red and white, high heeled boots over light orange stockings.
"How much longer?" the bald-headed man asked the woman.
"I'd say we already have enough energy to power the device." replied the woman.
"Good. Let's finish up and move on out of here." said the man. "There's more work to be done." The woman turned towards the group.
"You mean taking out those trainers over there?" asked the woman, pointing at the group. The man turned towards the group.
"I didn't think anyone remained here after we dealt with the workers." said the man, walking towards the group as he pulls out a pokeball. Rolf steps forward.
"Rolf will face this trainer." said Rolf. The man throws his pokeball, releasing a Houndoom. Rolf throws his pokeball, releasing his Wartortle.
"Houndoom, use Thunder Fang!" said the man. Houndoom charges at Wartortle with its fangs coated in electricity.
"Wartortle, use Protect!" said Rolf. A green barrier forms around Wartortle, and the Houndoom bounces off of it.
"Houndoom, try again!" said the man. Houndoom charges at Wartortle again, and this time he manages to bite down on him, doing super effective damage.
"Wartortle, use Aqua Tail!" said Rolf. Wartortle's tail becomes coated in water as he swings it across the Houndoom's face, doing super effective damage.
"How dare you!" said the man. "Houndoom, use Feint Attack!" The Houndoom moves to Wartortle's left, then suddenly swings out with its front paw coated in dark energy and strikes his chest.
"Wartortle, use Rapid Spin!" said Rolf. Wartortle pulls his arms, legs, and head into his shell and starts spinning; he flies towards the Houndoom and strikes the side of its body, along with increasing his speed.
"Houndoom, use another Thunder Fang!" said the man. Houndoom runs at Wartortle and bites down on him again, doing super effective damage.
"Be strong, Wartortle!" said Rolf. Suddenly, a surge of blue energy rises up around Wartortle as he struggles to his feet.
"I think that's Wartortle's Torrent ability, Rolfie boy!" said Kevin. "It'll power up his water attacks!"
"Then Rolf will make use of it." said Rolf. "Wartortle, use Surf!" Wartortle summons up a large wave of water and he rides it towards the Houndoom; the wave slams down onto it, doing a lot of super effective damage thanks to Wartortle's Sea Incense and Torrent ability, becoming too much for the Houndoom to handle and it passes out.
"You did it, Rolf!" said Jonny. The man could only stare in stunned shock.
"This can't be." said the man. He returns his Houndoom to its pokeball, throws Rolf some pokedollars, and heads back over to the woman he was with. "Take care of these pesky intruders, Aliana!"
"Yes, sir." said the woman, now identified as Aliana, stepping forward while pulling a pokeball out of her pocket.
"I'll take care of her." said Nazz as she pulls out a pokeball from her pocket. "Go, Florges!" She tosses Florges pokeball and releases her.
"Mightyena, come out!" said Aliana, throwing her pokeball and releasing a Mightyena. "Mightyena, Howl!" Mightyena lets out a loud howl and it begins surging with energy, powering up its attack strength.
"Florges, Grassy Terrain!" said Nazz. Florges spreads her arms and releases a glowing light green, ring of energy from her body and the entire floor begins to glow green and glowing grass grows out of it.
"Mighyena, Crunch!" said Aliana. Mightyena pounces at Florges and bites her shoulder, not doing very effective, but it did weaken her defense.
"Use Petal Blizzard!" said Nazz. Florges releases shiny pink petals from her body, and they hit Mightyena, doing massive damage due to Grassy Terrain and Rose Incense greatly powering up her grass type moves. Florges and Mightyena get some of their wounds healed by Grassy Terrain.
"Assurance!" said Aliana. Mightyena runs at Florges and rams her, but not doing much damage.
"Florges, Moonblast!" said Nazz. Florges holds out her arms while an image of a moon appears behind her; a pink orb of energy forms in her hands and she launches it at Mightyena, hitting it and dealing super effective damage. Grassy Terrain heals some of both Pokemon's wounds.
"Mightyena, Assurance again!" said Aliana. Mightyena charges at Florges and rams her, knocking her to the ground. She struggles to get up.
"You can do it, Florges!" said Nazz. Florges gets back up. "Yeah! Now use Petal Dance!" Florges spins around and releases pink petals from her body, and they hit Mightyena, knocking out.
"I can't believe it!" said Aliana.
"I knew you can do it, Florges!" said Nazz. Florges does a courtsey.
"Way to go, Nazz!" said Kevin.
"Right on!" said Jonny.
"Rolf is proud of Nazz." said Rolf. Aliana returns Mightyena to its pokeball and looks at the group.
"I didn't expect things to get so interesting." said Aliana. She takes out pokedollars and tosses them to Nazz. "I hope we meet again." She and the man both run away.
"I hope that's the last of them." said Kevin. A masked boy and girl suddenly arrived.
"Oh my. You chased off that mysterious group before we can get here." said the masked girl. She and the girl both turned towards the group. "I guess there's always room for more defenders of Kalos."
"Thanks to you four, the power is restored in Lumiose City." said the masked boy.
"Awesome." said Kevin.
"Now we can get to Lumiose City and challenge the gym there." said Jonny.
"Well, I think us mysterious people will be off now." said the masked girl. She and the masked man turn and run out of the room.
Minutes later, the group exited the Kalos Power Plant. Once outside, Rolf sees a red plate similar to Nazz's Dedenne's Zap Plate laying near the entrance.
"What is this?" asked Rolf, picking up the plate.
"Looks like the Zap Plate I found, only red." said Nazz.
"Maybe when we get to a PokeMart, you can find out." said Kevin.
"Another reason to get to Lumiose City." said Jonny.
"Let's go then." said Kevin. Now that the power to Lumiose City is restored, Kevin, Rolf, Jonny, and Nazz can get to Lumiose City where their next gym battle awaits them.
