The sun broke through the dark clouds at Oreburgh City after a wicked rainstorm went through Sinnoh. There was mud on most of the routes as Grayson was walking his way toward the museum. The Oreburgh Museum, which was illuminated by the sun had their doors open to the public. Seeing he was off today, he figured he would go inside and look at the exhibitions. As he stepped into the room, he paused as he was looking at the 2-D cutout of the Poké Rangers in front of him. He rolled his eyes as he was looking at them. Noticing the fossilized Pokémon above him, one being the Kabutops. Grayson shook his head as he looked at the poster. Mumbling, he continued into the cafeteria.
"Being a celebrity was not on my to do list," he muttered to himself, "I'm a warrior of justice, not a team player."
He walked toward the left part of the hallway, heading toward the Dino Café. The Dino Café was known for its wonderful Tyrant Burgers and Cradle Fries, but it was also a good hangout spot for those who loved the fossil scenery. Seeing Roark was able to use the Oreburgh Mine and the Oreburgh Museum to his advantage, it made sense to make it a tourist trap for anyone, including Pokémon Trainers who wanted to challenge him for gym badges. Grayson walked inside, seeing the green background with tables that were shaped like rock slabs. He was surprised as he went to sit down at the table. Looking up, he turned to see his teammates at the other table.
"So," said Lisa, walking over, "Seeing that we are off, and the cooks are on, 4 Tyrant Burgers and Cradle Fries!"
"Aren't they making Ancient Tenders eventually?" asked Joe, grabbing his own basket as he looked at her.
"Well," said Lisa, lifting her head up, "Roark said he needed to train the crew on them."
"Darn," said Leona, "I wanted to try them!"
Atticus chuckled as he looked at them. Taking a bite, he grinned as he was amazed by the taste, "Not bad. Could have added more pickles."
He turned around as he was looking to see Grayson, who was reading a book. Atticus turned around as he looked at them, "So, Grayson is here… why isn't he sitting with us?"
"Grayson is a lone wolf," said Leona, grinning, "It's going to take time for him to get used to us."
Joe looked at Leona, "If he knows how to work with us."
Lisa shook her head as she pulled him by the ear, "Patience, Joseph."
Joe glared at her as Lisa looked at him. Joe took a deep breath as he went to turn around. As he went to turn, he could see Grayson walking toward them. As he went to sit down with them, Grayson nodded his head.
"How was training?" asked Atticus, nervous.
"It was okay," said Grayson, "It was quiet."
The whole table started to become more awkward as Grayson went to open his book. As he went to open his book, he heard a voice that made him jolt.
"GRAYSON!"
Grayson froze as he turned around. He froze, seeing who it was. He wore a black and green ninja suit with a Meganium insignia on it. He also had a green and black headband around his neck. He also had black spiky hair and had a tan skin complexion. He also had black and white slippers. He also had a Meganium with him, glaring at him.
"… Master Bruce," said Grayson, "I told you I was on a leave of absence."
Bruce shook his head, "You said that a month ago. It's over. It's time to leave."
Joe, sighing, turned to Grayson as Grayson looked a little nervous to go. He could feel tension between the two. Knowing not sure what to do, Joe decided to play along for the ride. He turned around as he looked at Bruce, "Sorry, but he's not going anywhere."
Bruce grinned as he looked at Joe, "We ninjas of the Meganium Clan do not need your input…"
"Meganium Clan?" asked Leona.
"We are one of the three ninja schools in Johto! After all, Johto is known for its ancient traditions… and for you to leave is a violation!" he shouted.
Grayson stood up as he went to speak, "Let me explain!"
Before he could speak, Bruce grabbed him by the arm, "Get your things! We are heading back to New Bark Town at once!"
"Now, wait one moment!" shouted Joe.
Bruce turned around as he released a palm thrust at his abs. Joe clenched as he stumbled backwards into the table. Bruce grabbed Grayson by the arm and started dragging him away from the area.
"What in the world?" asked Lisa.
"I'll handle it," said Joe, getting up, wincing in pain as he walked out of the café. The other rangers sat and watched as Joe started dragging himself to the exit. They were pondering about Bruce and more about Grayson.
Chapter 4: A Swordsman's Honor
"I can't believe those idiots used their Energy Crystals to make a robot of their own!" Ferro Fett shouted, flipping yet another table. The past couple of days, he couldn't watch seeing the rangers destroy two of his own commanders. He looked over as he turned to Turnchou and Shockhound, "Do you have an ideas on what to do?"
"I wish," said Shockhound, looking at Turnchou.
"Nope," said Turnchou.
Before Ferro Fett went to say anything, he heard the doors open. Maracturne turned around as he was skipping toward him. He looked at Ferro Fett with fear as he walked toward him, "Do you have any ideas?"
"Well…," said Maracturne, "I may have started something without asking you?"
Ferro Fett grumbled as he turned around. He shook his head, "I don't know why you were assigned to me… he was stupid."
"Well… if it wasn't for me developing the Magna Beam, you would be toast!" said Maracturne, "I was thinking of capturing the rangers at a different location. A location where they can't communicate and it will be easy pickings."
"And how would you establish that?" asked Shockhound, snarling as Maracturne turned to him. Maracturne grinned as he snapped his fingers. The metal doors opened again. The team turned around in awe as they saw a humanoid Arcanine creature. However, the creature had a blue and black police uniform with a cage in the left hand and a hat on top. His eyes were bright red as he snarled.
"Commander Jailhouse from our Security Department. He is trained in capturing enemies and throwing them in a jail cell in different dimensions. He trained even our Mooks!" Maracturne shouted.
"I heard you have rangers you need to destroy," he responded.
"Not just destroy!" said Ferro Fett, "I want their Energy Crystals!"
"Consider it done," said Jailhouse, grinning evilly.
Meanwhile…
"Let go of me!"
Shaking off his arm, Grayson took a heavy breath as he looked at Bruce. Bruce turned around as he went to smack him with his hand, only for Grayson to dodge the attack. Bruce turned around as he snapped his fingers. Vines emerged out from the ground and headed toward Grayson at a rapid pace. Vines wrapped around Grayson's body as he was tightened by the grip. Grayson squirmed as he tried to leave. Squirming louder, Bruce shook his head as he turned around to look up, "Why did you leave the Meganium Clan?"
"I told you… I am on a leave of absence," said Grayson.
"Liar! As a warrior of justice, you know better!" shouted Bruce, "Now, tell me why!"
Grayson gulped as he turned to Bruce. As he went to take a breath to say why, a golden blast pierced through the vines, causing Grayson to break free. Landing on the ground, Bruce turned to see Joe with his Fossil Blaster in hand.
"You have no honor," he said.
Joe turned around, "…. It takes one to know one."
He looked at Grayson. Grayson was coughing heavily as he went to take a breather. Joe knelt down as he went to help Grayson up. Grayson took a deep breath, trying to breathe. Joe turned around as he looked at Bruce.
"Why you so mad?" asked Bruce.
"You almost killed your own student," said Joe.
"He could've figured his way out… if you didn't interfere," said Bruce, looking at Joe.
Before Bruce could do anything, there were sounds of screams in the background. Joe and Grayson nodded as they started taking off in that direction. Bruce looked at his Meganium. As his Meganium nodded, Bruce followed them.
Running down the streets of Oreburgh City, Grayson and Joe turned around as Jailhouse was dashing through. Throwing his cage, people yelled as the cage expanded. As it trapped them, a blue aura surrounded them as the group teleported. Both of them looked at each other as Jailhouse turned to them.
"Ah," he said, "More victims!"
"Let me guess… Ferro Fett sent you," said Grayson, looking at Joe, "Guess it's time to throw you in jail!"
"Not on my watch! Mooks!"
In a flash of green light, the Mooks flipped over and landed on the ground. Joe took out his Fossil Blaster while Grayson took out his Fossil Saber. Dashing through, Joe kicked and punched a few of the Mooks. As they landed on the ground, Joe turned around as he used his blaster. Pulling the trigger, golden beams struck and pierced the armor of each Mook. The Mooks screamed as they landed on the ground. One of them headed straight for him as Joe reached for his pistol and pulled the trigger. Five golden blasts struck the Mook in the chest as he landed on the ground. Grayson flipped forward as he landed on the ground, slashing the Mooks with his Fossil Saber. Spinning around, he slashed each of them, seeing them turn to sludge in the process. Looking up, he noticed a cage heading straight for him. Grayson rolled over as Jailhouse missed. Jailhouse swung it again. As it was heading toward him, three blasts hit the cage, exploding it. Jailhouse turned around as he saw Leona, Atticus and Lisa, morphed. The three rangers turned as they went to continue on with the battle. The five of them were finishing with the Mooks. As the battle continued, Bruce watched the whole battle occur from a building corner.
"What in the world?" asked Bruce, "Who are those guys? And since when did Grayson get that sword?"
Grayson cut across the last group of Mooks as he and Joe turned around. Jailhouse released a green blast of energy from his black pistol, causing Grayson and Joe to land on the ground. Grayson fell on the pavement with Joe on the other side. Grayson looked up, his eyes locked on a cage heading straight toward him. Before he could get captured, he felt himself lifted up and away from the cage. He was thrown at least a block away from the incident. Turning, he saw Bruce about to get in contact. Realizing he used ninjitsu, Grayson went after him. He realized he was too far. He then noticed in sight view that Joe was trying to push Bruce away, only for the cage to capture both. A blue aura surrounded them as they disappeared. Grayson gasped as he stopped running. Shaking his head for a second, he dashed toward Jailhouse. Jailhouse laughed as he turned around. Jailhouse was slashed by Grayson's Fossil Saber as he landed on the pavement. Lisa, Leona and Atticus stood behind him as Jailhouse looked up.
"Kabutops Charger, Energize!" shouted Grayson.
Taking out his green Fossil Charger, he pressed the button. The green crystal around his neck channeled into the Fossil Charger. Opening his Fossil Blaster, Grayson did his dance as he placed the charger in his blaster. Spinning the Fossil Blaster, a green aura surrounded it, "Unleash the Power!"
Pulling the trigger, a Kabutops emerged out of his blaster as he transformed into his suit. Jailhouse stood in shock as Grayson picked up his Fossil Saber. The other rangers followed as they went to attack. As the cage went toward Grayson, Grayson used his Fossil Saber and slashed the weapon in half, leaving debris on either side.
"I'm out!" he shouted.
A purple aura surrounded him as he disappeared. The four rangers tried to strike but collided with each other. Landing on the ground, Grayson clenched his fist as he threw it in the pavement. Angrily, he started heading toward Dino Paradise.
"Hey, Grayson! Wait up!"
The sound of Leona's voice made Grayson wait. Leona dashed over toward him as the others caught up. Immediately, the four started making their way to the base…
Meanwhile…
Tons of people were nervous as they were hanging in the cage. Their Pokémon were in their Poké Balls, but placed away from them in a separate spot. As everyone was nervous, crying or freaking out, Joe stood and looked at the cage dimensions. He turned around as he looked, noticing that he was stuck in the caves. There were lights that surrounded it though. He turned to Bruce, who was sitting and meditating. Looking down, he turned to see someone familiar. He looked to see Turnchou, who had a scanner.
"They don't have Energy Crystals….," he said, looking around, "Teleport them!"
The Mooks grinned as they pressed a button on a console across from Joe. Immediately, a blue cage disappeared along with the Pokémon that were in the cage. Joe took a heavy breather as he was sitting down, observing.
"Freaking out won't do you good," he said.
"Well, you don't have something these peeps are looking for," said Joe, looking at Bruce.
Bruce lifted his eye open, "What do you mean?"
"Turnchou is looking for Energy Crystals. He thinks one of us has one!"
Bruce shook his head as he looked at him, "Over a piece of jewelry?"
Ignoring any triggers, Joe turned around as he went to look up. Bruce looked at him as Joe went to the back. Joe reached into his shirt as he saw his black crystal. If only he knew how and when to communicate without being noticed by Turnchou or Jailhouse. That was something he knew he would need to do if he wanted to survive and not be on Ferro Fett's silver platter.
Meanwhile…
"It looks like we have our hands full," Drake mentioned as he went to speak to the team. The rangers were sitting down at Dino Paradise as Roark was sitting there with them. The rangers were trying to piece it out together.
"So," said Leona, "It looks like with Joe captured, the five of us are going to have a difficult time."
"Well, it's hard to work together with the five of us to begin with. Specifically, Grayson," said Atticus, examining his energy crystal. He took a deep breath as he went to continue, "If only we knew where the location was."
"And how to get there," said Lisa, looking at the other two rangers.
"Well," said Roark, looking at the morphers, "We are working on a device to communicate. But, we are also working on a way to trace your crystals."
"Wait…," said Lisa, looking at Drake, "Is that even possible?"
Drake nodded as he turned to Lisa, "Yes, but you will need to give us time."
Leona turned around as she looked at the table. She noticed that only Lisa and Atticus were there. Lisa looked around to see that Grayson was also missing as well. Lisa turned around as she looked at Atticus. Atticus shrugged as Lisa looked up, standing from the table as she walked toward the crystal chamber. Grabbing the crystal, she picked up her batteries.
"Where are you going?" asked Atticus.
"Going to a place where Grayson would not be bothered," said Lisa, taking her Fossil Blaster and pointing it to the floor. Pulling the trigger, a pink aura surrounded her as she teleported out of Dino Paradise.
"So, anyone know what the Meganium Clan is all about?" asked Leona.
Atticus shrugged as he looked at her, "Beats me."
Roark nodded as he pulled a chair toward the table, "Let's make a phone call to our professor."
Meanwhile…
Grayson was wearing a black bandana with a green leaf attached to it while wearing a black muscle shirt and green cargo shorts. Gripping his Fossil Saber with his right hand, he slashed a few tree branches across as he was looking at the angles, cutting each one differently. He turned around as he flipped over, cutting the ropes that were on the bottom. It was clear to see that he created his own obstacle course for his own training. Woodchips that were sharp enough to impale headed straight toward him. Blocking each strike, Grayson spun around as he blocked them all. As the last one struck, Grayson knocked it down. Sweat pouring down, Grayson turned around as he noticed Lisa, who was sitting there and watching.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
Lisa turned around as she sat on the picnic table that had Grayson's stuff on it, looking at the beautiful sun and then turning to Grayson, "The weather seems lovely for sure! It's a great day for aromatherapy."
"Pfft… Aromatherapy," muttered Grayson, grabbing a towel, "You do realize that I am in no mood to talk about flowers. Now, seriously, I am training."
"You know you can't do this alone," said Lisa, looking at Grayson while speaking in a calm tone.
"And why shouldn't I? No offense, the four of you are… novices," said Grayson, turning around, "These weapons we were granted are used to stop evil and we are just having fun with it."
Lisa sat there silently, letting Grayson continue his rant.
"With the training I have done, I should have been able to stop Jailhouse. I failed Master Bruce and I failed myself… the Meganium Clan is known for honor and justice. As a ninja and swordsman, I am sure I would be laughed on. We never work in a team…," he said. He turned around as he looked at Lisa. Lisa said nothing as Grayson turned to her, "You aren't escalating?"
"What's there to argue about?" asked Lisa, looking at him, "You are honest. I am a novice. I do not know what I am doing with these weapons to defeat Ferro Fett's army. All I do is help with medical needs. Fighting to save the planet and working to heal others are two different categories."
"… You are a nurse?" asked Grayson.
"Yeah," said Lisa, "Well, in training. I am learning a lot about Pokémon Medicine and even medicine for humans. Granted, that's been on hold to help protect Sinnoh from this bounty hunter we never met yet."
Grayson said nothing as he went to sit on the picnic bench. Lisa turned around as she went to speak, "What about this Meganium Clan?"
"You see, Johto is known for its history. Tons of historical things… including the way of the ninja. There is a Ninja Sword Academy, an academy located off of New Bark Town. There are multiple different clans… or as I call it, different schools based on Pokémon. I was training under Master Bruce. I was his top student and was going to enroll as one of the top trainers in the Ninja Sword Academy," said Grayson.
"What happened?" asked Lisa.
Grayson sighed as he looked at Lisa, "I was burnt out. I was doubting if I could be a leader of my own clan while working at the Ninja Sword Academy. So, I told Master Bruce I would take a leave of absence. Came to Sinnoh… and now I am stuck trying to fight bounty hunters and crazy creatures."
Grayson put his head down as he looked at Lisa, "I feel like such a failure to him."
Lisa turned around as she looked at him, "Well, I see how passionate you are to restore your name."
Grayson turned around, "And? How do I tell Bruce about this ranger stuff?"
"Well," said Lisa, shrugging, "He's going to have to see for himself."
The green ranger sighed as he looked at the grass. Lisa placed his hand on his shoulder, "Don't blame yourself for something like this. Let's work together."
Grayson sighed as he looked at her, "I never worked on a team before."
Lisa grinned as she turned to him, "Nor have I, but if we want to bring Sinnoh peace, we've got to do it. There is no try."
Grayson nodded as he went to stand up. Turning around, he felt a brush of wind go past him. Grayson grabbed Lisa, without thinking and threw her down as explosions surrounded them. Lisa looked up as Grayson slowly nodded, "Mooks."
A group of Mooks started heading toward Lisa and Grayson. Lisa jumped up on one of the picnic benches and kicked two of them in the face. She spun around as she did more sidekicks. Flipping forward, she landed on the grass as she swept a few of them. She kicked two of them in the stomach. The Mooks squirmed as they landed on the ground. Meanwhile, Grayson kicked four of them that surrounded him. He did a side flip as he grabbed his Fossil Saber, cutting across the Mooks with his blade. The two rangers dashed toward the trees as Lisa and Grayson climbed up on a tree trunk. Flipping forward, Lisa took out her Fossil Blaster, shooting a few of them as they landed on the ground. Jumping on the other side of the cluster, the two rangers started breathing heavily.
A flash of blue light appeared as the Mooks were hit a little. Lisa and Grayson turned around to see Drake. Drake walked over as he reached into his pocket. The two rangers received a green and pink smartwatch with a Dino Charge symbol on them.
"They are ready…," said Drake.
"What are these?" asked Grayson.
"Charge Watches… Professor Rowan created them to communicate amongst the team," said Drake, "Now, Leona and Atticus are heading to Mt. Coronet."
"That's a distance!" said Lisa.
"I know," said Drake. Reaching into his pocket, he picked up two yellow batteries. Each ranger picked on up. It had a picture of a Cyclizar with the number 11 on it, "Summon Cyclizar. The Pokémon will automatically transform into your own Fossil Cyclizar."
Grayson and Lisa reached for their Fossil Blasters as they took out their Cyclizar Chargers.
"Cyclizar Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the button, a yellow aura surrounded the batteries as they placed it in the Fossil Blaster. Spinning it, the rangers pulled the trigger. Two Cyclizar emerged out as they landed on the ground. A green and pink aura surrounded it as it transformed into a motorcycle with Cyclizar's head on each. What was different was Grayson's had a few Kabutops features on them, such as blades on the front and Kabutops head on top. Lisa had a Bastiodon tail at the end of it with a Bastiodon head on top of the charge.
"Dome Cyclizar!"
"Armor Cyclizar!"
Drake nodded quietly as the two of them hopped on. The two rangers pressed the buttons as they drove off to the woods, heading to Mt. Coronet.
Meanwhile…
Joe and Bruce were sitting in the cage. They were in the last cage left for Turnchou to examine. The last thing Joe wanted was to be exposed for having an Energy Crystal. He turned around as he was looking at the cage walls. As he looked up, he was looking at each bar. Grabbing it, a blue electric shock went through his body as Joe flew, landing on the ground. Bruce shook his head as he looked at him.
"You idiot," he said.
Joe shook his head as he went to get up. Bruce then turned around as he looked at the corner, "Joe, what is that?"
Joe looked up at the corner. He was also confused as he saw something interesting. The sun was shining down throughout the cave walls, but the corner of the jail cell had a tiny space. Joe turned around as he went toward the cage. Trying not to grab it this time, he used his finger and went to touch the pole. Upon contact, there wasn't a shock. Joe looked up to see the cage wiggling, "Hey, it looks like this pole is not connected…"
"Then," said Bruce, "We can break free from this."
Joe nodded as he was on his own two feet. Bruce climbed on top of him. Using the bars, Joe used his feet to push him up. Bruce got his feet on Joe's shoulders. Joe leaned on the cage as Bruce punched the top of the cage. The cage broke off a little as a hole was made. It seemed that the cage was rusted out from the attack. Immediately, a blue electrical surge surrounded the cage, deactivating it. Bruce managed to get up from the cage, climbed on top and hopped down. He found their Poké Balls on the shelf. Throwing Joe's Poké Ball, he heard someone laughing as he turned around. Bruce stood as Jailhouse arrived.
"I guess my cage was faulty!" he shouted.
"Go Bruce!" shouted Joe.
Bruce nodded as he started dashing toward Jailhouse. Jailhouse went to strike, only for Bruce to glow in a green aura. Splitting in two, Jailhouse missed as Bruce transformed back to one person. Jailhouse turned to Joe, who stood there in anger.
"Why you…," he said.
Joe grumbled as he looked at him. Jailhouse laughed as he looked at him, "I can't wait to end you like this. But, I have to see if he has an Energy Crystal first."
Joe laughed, "Go for it."
As Jailhouse started turning around to run away, Joe fell to his knees as a sigh of relief. As he went to grab the jail pole to escape, he noticed that it was still tight, "Darn it! I guess I'm stuck here for a little bit more."
Meanwhile…
Grayson and Lisa were just driving on the border of Mt. Coronet. As they touched the border, Grayson and Lisa hopped off, dashing toward the cave entrance. As the cave entrance was getting closer, the two could see Bruce running toward the exit. Behind him, Jailhouse was on his way.
"Master Bruce!" shouted Grayson.
"Grayson!" shouted Bruce.
Jailhouse laughed as he looked at him. Swinging his cage, he threw it across as it went toward Bruce. Grayson jumped up as he slashed the chain that was connected to the cage. The cage broke into pieces as Grayson did a shoulder roll. Stabbing him with his sword, Jailhouse yelled as he stumbled backwards. Jailhouse turned around as he saw the damage on his stomach, "You greenhorn criminal!"
Grayson turned around as he looked at his own master, who looked up at him, "How did you know?"
"I sensed it," said Grayson, looking at Bruce as he carried him up. Lisa turned around as another cage went after them. Lisa pulled the trigger on her Fossil Blaster, shooting it down. Turning around, Leona and Atticus jumped up as they used the Fossil Blasters. Landing on the ground, Jailhouse looked up as he saw the four rangers together.
"Where's Joe?" asked Grayson.
"Joe is trapped…," said Bruce, "I think they might have what they are looking for…"
Grayson put it all together as he stepped forward, "Yo, Jailhouse! If you want Energy Crystals so bad, you are going to have to get through us."
Jailhouse was confused as he stood up. The four rangers had their Energy Crystals shining around their necks. Jailhouse stood there in silence and surprised. Grayson laughed as he looked at him, "You thought capturing humans to find them was going to be easy. Well, you are going to have to try better!"
"Exactly," said Leona, "We're a team! And we are going to protect these crystals."
"Rangers… Let's Poké Battle," said Grayson, grabbing his Fossil Charger.
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the buttons on their Fossil Chargers, their Energy Crystals began to react as the Fossil Charger began to energize. Next, the four rangers did their dance at the same time and withdrew their Fossil Blasters. Opening them, each ranger placed the Fossil Charger in the blaster.
Energize, Tyrantrum!
Energize, Carracosta!
Energize, Kabutops!
Energize, Bastiodon!
The rangers spun the blasters as they raised them to the sky, "Unleash the Power!"
Pulling the trigger, a red, blue, green and pink energy beam burst out of their blasters. Flipping around, the rangers transformed into their suits.
"Tyrantrum! Dino Charge Red!"
"Carracosta! Dino Charge Blue!"
"Kabutops! Dino Charge Green!"
"Bastiodon! Dino Charge Pink!"
"Poké Rangers Dino Charge!"
Bruce stood in shock as he was watching the whole thing. He couldn't believe it as he was seeing Grayson in shining armor. Jailhouse snapped his fingers as the Mooks arrived, "Destroy them!"
"Let's do it! Dino Steel!" shouted Grayson.
Dragging their Fossil Blasters across their right shoulder, the four weapons appeared to use.
"Tyrantrum Fang!"
"Carracosta Shield!"
"Kabutops Slasher!"
"Bastiodon Drill!"
The Mooks were coming from all directions. Leona turned around as she smashed each one with her Tyrantrum Fang. She turned around as she kicked a few of them in the stomach. She also turned to see more were coming toward her. Immediately, she opened the Tyrantrum Fang by pulling a switch on the back.
"Dragon Pulse!"
A blue and red energy beam struck out as the Mooks in her area were incinerated. Leona grinned as she turned around with ease.
Next, Atticus blocked a few of the Mooks with his shield. He turned around as he looked at all of them that were heading toward him. A blue aura surrounded him as he spun around, "Razor Shell!"
Spinning the shield, it spun around like a shell, slicing each of the Mooks around him. It was almost like a boomerang. Catching it, the Mooks fell to their knees, exploding to the ground.
Lisa kicked a few of them in the stomach as she jumped backward. She landed on a rock formation as the Mooks were coming toward her. The tail of the Bastiodon Drill started to spin as she turned the weapon around, the tail facing the Mooks. A silver aura surrounded it as she jumped up.
"Iron Tail!"
Landing on the ground, she smashed all of them with her weapon, smacking each creature with the steel-type move with her tail. As more were coming toward her, the tail went from silver to golden.
"Bulldoze!"
Stabbing the ground, the Mooks yelled as they fell into the cracks of the Earth, destroyed by the heat and temperature. The cracks in the ground returned to normal as she grinned in response, "Winning!"
Grayson and Jailhouse went at it. With each cage that was heading toward him, Grayson blocked it with his Fossil Saber. He then spun around as he used the Kabutops Slasher. A green line came across as Jailhouse spun. Jailhouse turned around to release a flame attack from his pistol. Sliding underneath, Grayson kicked the pistol out. He kicked Jailhouse across as he turned around to pick up a Kabutops Charger.
"Kabutops Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the charger, he opened the Fossil Saber and placed the charger in the holster. Closing it, a green aura surrounded it as a green energy wave surrounded the Kabutops Slasher.
"Swords Dance!"
A green aura surrounded him as energy surrounded his weapons. He dashed toward him at a fast speed with his blades.
"Double Slash Finish!"
He slashed Jailhouse with his Fossil Saber and then slashed across with his Kabutops Slasher. Jailhouse screamed as he landed on the ground, exploding into pieces. Grayson turned around as he looked at the others. Leona and Atticus were amazed as they turned to Lisa. Lisa grinned as she gave him a high five.
"That was awesome!" said Lisa.
"Wow," said Atticus, "That was good."
Grayson grinned, "Thank you."
Leona turned around as she turned to Bruce, seeing Bruce in shock as he walked forward, "Grayson…"
Grayson gulped under his helmet, "So, now you know."
"… Well, your training has paid off," said Bruce, looking at him and the other rangers, "We do need to get Joe though. I can show you the way."
As the five began to walk away, a green beam pierced through the sky. The rangers turned around as they saw Jailhouse's corpse come together. Jailhouse grew ten times bigger, looking at the rangers.
"Time to send people to jail… again!" he shouted.
"Great…," said Leona, "Guess we got to deal with him first."
Atticus and Lisa nodded as they took out their Fossil Chargers.
"Tyrantrum, Bastiodon, Carracosta… we choose you!"
Pressing their Fossil Chargers, they threw them up in the air. In flashes of red, pink and blue light, their zords appeared. Landing on the ground, Grayson grabbed Bruce as they headed toward a safe place.
"What in the world?" asked Bruce.
"It gets better," said Grayson.
"Tri-Fossil Fusion!" shouted the rangers.
Immediately, Tyrantrum opened its mouth. Blue and pink energy surrounded Bastiodon and Carracosta as Tyrantrum ingested the energy. A red aura surrounded the Tyrantrum as the legs began to rise higher, seeing robotic feet. The Tyrantrum Zord roared as the upper body rotated, leaving the tail to be the left side and the head of the zord on the right. The Carracosta and Bastiodon jumped up. Carracosta shrunk its head, arms, legs into the shell. The tail transformed into the right hand of the Megazord. The Bastiodon raised its tail as it connected to the left side with its legs and arms shrinking, forming the left hand and arm of the Megazord. A human head popped out of the body. It was a silver head with a red helmet that looked like a Tyrantrum helmet. Green eyes glowed as it started jumping.
"Dino Charge Megazord, Battle Ready!"
Jailhouse took out its pistol, shooting it down. The Dino Charge Megazord blocked it as the left arm slashed Jailhouse down. Jailhouse spun around as it landed on the mountain. Some of the mountain cracked as the boulders were heading down into the ground.
"Crap!" shouted Bruce, "Joe is in that location!"
"What?" asked Grayson, looking at the damage, "Stay here."
As Grayson went toward the mountain of the cave, a blue light surrounded the area as he dashed into Drake. Drake grabbed Grayson as he looked at him, "Grayson, let Lisa drill Joe out. Summon Kabutops!"
"But, they won't be able to fight without Bastiodon," said Grayson.
"Kabutops can also fuse…," said Drake, "Now, summon Kabutops!"
Grayson nodded as he took out his Fossil Charger. He pressed a button as he aimed for the sky, "Kabutops, I choose you!"
Throwing it in the air, a green aura surrounded the battery as a Kabutops landed on the ground, robotic and all green. The battery enlarged as it went into Kabutops. Kabutops charged forward as it slashed Jailhouse. Jailhouse spun around as the Kabutops Zord started jumping up and down. Grayson turned to Lisa, "Lisa, use Bastiodon to go save Joe. Leona and Atticus, Tri-Fossil Switch!"
"Got it," said Leona.
Lisa nodded as she withdrew her Fossil Blaster. A pink aura surrounded her as she disappeared. The Bastiodon Zord detached from the Dino Charge Megazord. The Kabutops Zord jumped up in the air. Folding its legs and stretching its blade like arms, it connected to the place the Bastiodon Zord would go.
"Dino Charge Megazord: Warrior Mode!"
Inside the cockpit, a green aura surrounded the cockpit left of Leona. Grayson arrived with his Fossil Blaster intact.
"Wow," said Atticus, "This is going to be interesting."
Jailhouse grumbled as he threw another cage, "Take this!"
Immediately, the Dino Charge Megazord used its blade to slash the chain. The Carracosta arm threw a huge punch at the creature's face. Smashing it, blue and red sparks surrounded it as he turned around.,
"Dino Charge Kabutops Saber!" shouted Grayson.
Immediately, a green aura surrounded the left arm of the Dino Charge Megazord. Looking at it, the Dino Charge Megazord jumped forward as it slashed the creature back and forth. As it spun around, the Megazord then went to strike.
Meanwhile…
Joe was coughing as he was being buried in the rubble. Looking up, he turned around as he heard a drill sound from underneath. Feeling the vibrations, Joe backed away as a Bastidon drill spun across. Looking down, he could see the Bastiodon Zord from below.
"Come on, Joe!" shouted Lisa.
Joe nodded as he went into the hole, landing on the back of the Bastiodon Zord. A pink aura surrounded him as he landed in the cockpit. Joe turned around as he looked at Lisa, "Bruce safe?"
"Yeah… Jailhouse is being ripped apart right now," she said.
"Great," said Joe, taking a breather.
Back to the battle…
A green aura surrounded the Kabutops as the Dino Charge Megazord began to glow. Jailhouse turned around as he went to swing his cage. Leona and Atticus swung their fists as the Carracosta arm smashed the cage down. Jailhouse stumbled as the finisher began to occur.
"Fossil Slash!"
A green emerald line struck Jailhouse down as he screamed. Explosions surrounded him as he fell to his knees. A major explosion shook some of Mt. Coronet as his remains were dust. The Dino Charge Megazord stood with Bastiodon on the ground.
Minutes passed as the rangers met up with Bruce on the bottom. Bruce was amazed to see all of the Prehistoric Pokémon. He turned around as he looked at them, "I am amazed! Grayson, this is why you have been quiet."
"Well, it kind of is a secret," said Grayson, looking at him. Removing his helmet, Grayson grinned as he looked at him, "I hope you can now understand."
"Grayson, you have grown to be a more honorable warrior than I thought. I hope one day when this is over you come back and I can give you honorable mentions to the Ninja Sword Academy," he said.
Grayson grinned as he looked at him, "I'd be honored!"
Bruce grinned as he turned toward them. Joe turned around as he looked at Bruce, "Hey… I didn't know how much you were hard on him to be better."
"… It's my job," he said, "Now, as a team… the five of you have to work together. The results show!"
"Thank you, Master Bruce," said Grayson, turning to the team, "Well, shall we eat?"
"You're hungry too?" asked Joe.
Grayson looked at Joe as he turned to the others, "Well, a warrior's got to eat. And with friends? It's always fun."
The rangers and Bruce started chuckling as they started laughing with their Megazord and zord still on the ground. The sun was setting closer to the west with a bright red sky on top of it.

Poké Rangers Dino Charge Chapter 5: The Hotshot Special
A/N: It is a character development chapter for Grayson! I am looking forward to seeing what we can do in this series. I am looking forward to seeing what we can do next! Also, Cyclizar was something new. It is one of the auxiliary Pokémon not part of the fossils, but seeing it was from ancient/prehistoric times, I wanted to use this as their new motorcycles. And we have a new Megazord combo as well!
