Brax comes running into the Principal's office and goes straight to Kyle.
He crouches down in front of Kyle and runs his hands through his hair.
"Oh Ky; my little man," Brax says.
"Please don't call me your little man, not at the moment," Kyle mumbles sadly.
After being so brutally bullied he hates being picked on by much bigger kids and now he's being called little man, and although his brother calls him that often it just made him feel weaker and smaller.
"Okay Ky, I won't call you that," Brax comforts then stands up and looks at Bianca.
"What happened?"
"Well, there was some locker room bullying. Pretty intense by the sounds of it. He got a wedgie, pink belly, nipple cripple and they wet his hair somehow; I don't know how," Bianca explains, causing Brax to clench his teeth together.
He turns to look back at his brother.
"They also beat me up," Kyle whispers sadly.
Brax runs his hands through his own hair, his brother isn't bruised yet so Brax is assuming that he'll be pretty bruised tomorrow.
"Let's see your stomach Kyle," Brax requests, wanting to see the result of the pink belly and nipple cripple.
He starts to unzip the tracksuit jacket when his brother yells out.
"No! Not in front of Miss. Scott," Kyle pleads.
"Kyle, you know you can call her Bianca and she's seen you without a shirt before at our house," Brax says gently to Kyle.
Kyle nods his head lightly in defeat and lets Brax unzip the rest of the jacket.
Brax and Bianca immediately let out a gasp as they see Kyle's chest and stomach.
Brax grips behind Kyle's neck and pulls him in close so that their foreheads are rested against one another.
"Aww kiddo! I'm so sorry that happened to you and I can promise you, it's not going to happen again," Brax whispers as he can hear Kyle continue to cry.
"Now Ky, can you tell me why your hair's so wet?" Brax asks, hoping he can find out what happened to his brother's hair.
Kyle sniffs softly and shakes his head, not wanting to say.
"Please Kyle?" Brax asks gently while stroking Kyle's hair.
Kyle swallows lightly and pulls away from Brax and rubs his eyes.
He looks up at Brax with tear filled eyes.
"They gave me a swirly," he admits.
As soon as Brax hears this he turns around and faces Bianca.
"Do we know who these kids are who did this to him?" Brax asks, angrily, as he looks back at his brothers and sees him zipping up the jacket.
"No, I haven't found out yet. I figured that he'd be more likely to say while you are here," Bianca says.
"Okay, and do you know what happened to his clothes?" Brax asks; very surprised to not see Kyle in either his PE clothes or his uniform.
Bianca sighs, "That I don't know either. He wasn't saying much so I just waited till you were here."
Hearing this Brax turns back to look at Kyle.
"Where is your clothes Ky?" he asks softly.
"They took them," Kyle whispers as he looks at his feet.
"They left me taped to the bench practically naked," he mumbled with tears in his eyes, feeling so pathetic.
"Who are they Kyle?" Brax asks gently as he runs his hands through Kyle's hair.
"Aiden Conners, Wesley James, and Grant Peary," Kyle mutters sadly and hesitantly, being scared to reveal his bullies names and just wishing he could disappear.
Suddenly Bianca gasps, "You're kidding me?"
"What?" Brax asks with a frown.
"Those three boys are the same boys that got in trouble when Casey got suspended. Casey told me that those three boys were picking on Kyle, but I had no idea things were this serious," Bianca says as she looks sadly at Kyle.
"Is this true Ky?" Brax asks his little brother, causing Kyle to nod sadly.
"So let me get this straight: you lied to me when I asked you if the bullying was serious then and you said it wasn't. Why didn't you tell me, Kyle, because for this to happen today the bullying must have been serious for a while; how long?" Brax asks firmly.
Kyle begins to sob again, hating that Brax sounded disappointed in him for lying about the bullying.
"It's been going on with these three since the beginning of the year. I'm really sorry, Brax, about lying to you about it."
"And let me guess these are the same guys that were mucking around with you the day I caught you with those bruises on your arms?" Brax demands, in which Kyle guiltily nods.
Bianca furrows her brow; this is the first she had heard about any of this.
"Kyle, I agree with Brax; you should have told one of the teachers, myself, or one of your older brothers. You know I don't tolerate bullying, especially to someone who I find to be important to me outside of school," Bianca says.
Kyle shakes as he continues to sob. "I just didn't want to feel like more of a pathetic wimp like I already do."
Brax takes Kyle's chin in his hand and forces the teen's gaze.
"Hey: in no way are you pathetic or a wimp, Trooper. You're a smart, well-behaved kid, and I'm so proud of you and you don't need to deal with this on your own," Brax assures, feeling Kyle's tears hit his hand and wiping them away from his cheek.
"Kyle, you shouldn't put yourself down like that, just because it's what the bullies may perceive you as. It's okay to be different and in your case one of the most academic students in my school and I'm very pleased to have you as one of my students," Bianca praises.
Kyle just shrugs and sniffles, holding back further sobs.
Brax sighs and turns back to Bianca.
"So, what are we going to do about it? I'm not having my brother being scared to be at school," Brax says, returning back to the topic at hand; all he wants is the best for Kyle.
"I'll call their parents and tell them to come in, I'll also get them to get their sons there as I'm assuming that the boys won't be in class," Bianca informs.
"So these little punks are going to be expelled aren't they?" Brax demands, knowing that was the least that they deserved.
Bianca's head drops slightly.
"I can't answer that for you at the moment, it's only fair that we wait for the other boy's parents to get here," Bianca explains, feeling a little nervous because she knows that Wesley and Grant won't be expelled because they haven't had a warning yet, but Aiden might be, but she couldn't explain that to Brax right now given how upset the older one is over Kyle's state.
"Okay. You give them a call; I want this sorted!" Brax demands and turns back to Kyle.
"It'll all be fixed soon kiddo," he comforts, as he runs his hands through his little brother's hair.
"Can we just go home?" Kyle croaks, wanting to just go home, put on his oodie and cry and forget today ever happened.
"Not yet kiddo, we've got to get this sorted first then we can go home," Brax says.
He feels like his heart is breaking, it hurts seeing any of his little brothers this upset, but with Kyle being the sweet sensitive one, when he cries it's intense.
"Please Brax. I don't want to be in the same room as them!" Kyle begs as more tears fall from his eyes.
"They aren't going to lay a hand on you again, I can promise you that Kyle," Bianca says as her heart breaks also, for she just adores Kyle.
"If they do, it will become a police matter as they are going to be warned. In fact, I might call Kat so that she can be here to give them a warning herself," she says.
"Kat?" Kyle squeaks.
In Kyle's opinion, after Indi Kat was the second most beautiful woman in the bay.
Despite the circumstances Brax can't help but smirk. He knows that Kyle thinks that Kat is pretty.
"I agree, it'll help. Those boys are going to leave you alone from now on, especially if they are wanted from a cop," Brax says, "Besides it's Kat, we've known her for years, she will make sure you're safe. Plus, she thinks you're adorable and will hate the thought of anyone hurting you."
This makes Kyle blush and puts a small smile on his face, but it only lasts a second as he is way to hurt for a comment like that to cheer him up.
Brax ruffles his brother's hair as Bianca calls Kat.
Once Bianca was off the phone to Kat, she gave all the boy's parents a call so that they could come in.
It's about 20 minutes later when there is a knock on the door, and it opens, and four adults walk in.
Bianca instantly recognises Jeff and Marie Connors; Aiden's parents from the fight incident and greets them, shaking both of their hands.
"I'm Kathryn Peary, Grant's Mum," Mrs. Peary introduces and also shakes Bianca's hand.
"My name is Missy James," Wesley's Mum says in turn and shakes Bianca's hand.
"We have contacted our son and told him to get himself and his friends here. They are on their way," Mr. Conners says, having threatened his son with a three month grounding if they didn't come here.
"That's great because it's very important that they are here to deal with the consequences of their actions," Bianca explains and watches as Brax runs a hand through Kyle's hair.
"Can we ask what this is about?" Missy asks, needing to know why she was called away from work.
"I can fill you in briefly and we will go into more detail when your sons get here," Bianca says smiling slightly at the two Braxton boys hoping that she can fix this for them.
Before Bianca can explain there is a knock at the door and Kat walks in.
"Hold up! The police; it's that bad?" Mr. Conners exclaims; now worried about what his son and his friends had done.
"Hello I'm Constable Chapman. I'm here because Miss. Scott asked me to come and talk to your sons about the trouble they will be in if their inappropriate behaviour continues," Kat explains.
"So, what have they done?" Kathryn asks in a concerned tone.
"Your sons have been bullying Kyle and today was especially bad," Bianca begins and all four parents look towards Kyle, who is looking miserable and withdrawn.
"Now I want to wait for the boys before I go any further," Bianca explains and five minutes later the three boys walk in and look pissed off. That was until they saw Kat, then they looked scared.
"Ahhh, why is a pig here?" Grant asks without thinking, causing Wesley and Aiden to hit him.
"Grant James Peary! You're in enough trouble so I wouldn't be adding to it if I were you, young man!" Kathryn Peary warns.
"Sorry Mum and sorry officer," Grant apologies quickly.
"Now, you three need to sit down as we need to discuss what happened today," Bianca orders, pointing to the three chairs available.
As the three boys sit down, they glare at Kyle who looks down at his hands afraid.
"Now boys. Mr. Gardiner brought Kyle to me and told me that he found him taped to a bench with his underwear hooked over the edge of the bench. His hair was wet, and his stomach was bruised and Kyle has also informed me that they also beat him up," Bianca explains, causing the parents to scowl at their children in shock.
"Wesley, how can you do such an atrocious thing?" Missy says appalled, she couldn't believe her son could do such a horrible thing, he has obviously been spending too much time with his Uncle.
"Because he's a geek! Uncle Isaac always used to beat up geeks, and trust me, this one deserves it. Not only is he a total nerd but he's clumsy as well! The loser can't even run without tripping," Wesley laughs, triggering his friends to laugh as well.
Brax glares at the boy, furious that he thinks it's okay to treat his brother this way, but then he screws up his face in question. Isaac James, where has he heard that name before?
"That's enough you lot! That is pure unacceptable behaviour!" Jeff scolds the boys.
"Indeed, it is. Are you boys aware that bullying is a criminal offence?" Kat asks.
All three boys look at her and shake their heads.
"How about assault?" Kat asks sternly.
Kyle sniffs lightly, just wanting to get out of here and away from his bullies.
"But we didn't assault him, all we did was rough him up a bit. We were actually doing him a favour. He needs to learn how to stick up for himself. I mean he lets his little brother fight his battles for him," Grant huffs and glares at Kyle; he is so going to kill him for opening his big mouth and dobbing them in.
"What do you mean you didn't assault him? Miss. Scott says you beat him up and did all those awful things to him and you heard it straight from a police officer that the behaviour is assault! We are going to talk to you when we get home young man. Just wait till your father hears about this," Mrs. Peary warns.
This causes Grant to cringe as he doesn't want to anger his Dad.
"You too Wesley! I thought I raised you better than this!" Missy scolds in disappointment.
"And you also, young man. Your father and I will be having a lengthy discussion with you, especially as this is your second time in trouble, with only being suspended recently!" Aiden's Mum yells.
"That wasn't my fault; it was his stupid brother who broke my nose!" Aiden snaps and points towards Kyle.
Brax frowns at Aiden's behaviour towards Kyle and now to be insulting Casey as well.
"Do not raise your voice at us!" Jeff bellows at his bullying son.
"Now if anything like this happens again, we may have to charge them, that is unless Kyle wishes to do so now, in which he will certainly be in his right mind to do so," Kat warns, interrupting all the discussions and giving a brief glance over at Kyle who shakes his head.
"Charge us? Why? For putting a geeky loser in his place," Wesley says laughing and high-fiving Aiden.
"No for assault and bullying, both of which are illegal! Though it seems Kyle is kind enough not to go through with charges, so I'd count yourselves lucky boys," Kat states sternly.
"He's too chicken to go ahead," Aiden snickers.
"Not another word," Jeff warns, giving Aiden a stern glare.
Kat's phone dings and she glances at it.
"Now I've got to go, I hope that I won't be back. I hope you get the justice you deserve for this Kyle, and please if you need anything you let me know," she says, as she walks out of the office, giving Kyle and Brax a smile.
Kyle's face blushes, as he feels utterly embarrassed.
Bianca turns her attention back to the boys and sits up tall in her chair.
"Now Wesley and Grant, I am giving you both a warning. You are suspended for a week, and you will return the Monday after next," Bianca informs.
"Only suspended? They'll only bully Kyle again when they get back," Brax accuses, feeling worried for his brother, as Kyle lowers his head and cries again; scared at what is coming for him when Wesley and Grant get back.
"I'm sorry Brax but they haven't had a warning yet. But we will be keeping a very close eye on them from now on. If anything happens then they will be punished further," Bianca says.
"That seems fair, thank you for giving them another chance," Missy says.
"And we will be talking to them further," Mrs. Peary assures.
The boys glare at Kyle who sinks lower in his seat, with Brax's arm wrapped around his shoulder comforting him.
"What about Aiden?" Aiden's Mum asks.
"Well because Aiden got suspended not long ago for fighting and I gave him a warning. Unfortunately, we have to expel him," Bianca informs, causing Kyle to look up sharply.
Aiden is the worst of the bullies so this will either mean that the bullies may back off or maybe they will be back with a vengeance and Kyle could only hope it would be the first one.
"What? You're expelling me for having some fun?" Aiden yells.
He jumps to his feet and slams his hands on the table.
"Kyle didn't find it fun, it was bullying!" Bianca shouts back, "Now sit back down!"
"That dork doesn't know what fun is. The loser sometimes spends his lunchtime in the library solving math equations, not for homework but ones he set himself! He's a loser!" Aiden barks, causing Kyle to let a tear fall and Brax to clench his teeth together; this little punk is really getting on his nerves.
"Aiden Harrison Conners! That is enough!" Aiden's father bellows, scolding his son harshly.
"Well, it's true we went in there one day and the loser had written out his own questions! Literally like a hundred of them! Also the only reason that the loser has friends is because his brother's in the same year, so he hangs out with him and his friends. They only put up with him because they pity him for being a massive waste of human life!" Aiden barks, angering further.
"Leave me alone!" Kyle screeches as he stands up, becoming overwhelmed with emotion and no means of escape just yet.
"I've never done anything to you!" he shouts crying and collapses into the chair.
"Just leave me alone. I'm sick of it," he mumbles sadly.
Brax crouches down in front of the chair and tries to calm his brother down. He just wishes he could push these kids around so they can see what it feels like.
"Do you see what you're bullying does? How would you feel if that was you?" Bianca accuses.
She is shocked at how none of the boys showed any remorse or care about their actions.
Why hasn't she picked up on anything before or questioned further when Casey informed her about these boys?
"Well for starters we wouldn't cry like a baby," Wesley says, smirking proudly.
"Wesley James!" his mother scolds him.
"Just a joke Mum," Wesley defends, "Uncle Isaac's going to love it when I tell him."
"This is not something to be proud of, young man!" Missy James warns.
"All three of you are going to apologise to this young man right now!" Jeff Conners orders.
He looks over at Kyle who is slowly calming down with the help of his brother.
Brax manages to get Kyle to stand up and face his bullies, much to his distress.
"No way, Dad, like we've said: It's just a bit of fun and the geek deserves it!" Aiden barks.
"You apologise now Aiden Harrison Connors, or you will be banned from video games for three months! We also may have to reconsider our holiday to Brisbane at Christmas," Mr. Conners threatens.
All the teen bullies look at each other shocked. The three families had been planning to spend Christmas together in Brisbane. They were going to stay in the Sea World Resort and go to all the theme parks and they are all really looking forward to it.
They turn to face Kyle, whose face is red with tears.
"Sorry Kyle. It won't happen again," Wesley apologises, but inside he's planning on continuing to pick on Kyle, just hopefully not get caught.
"Yeah sorry. We'll leave you alone from now on," Grant says and rolls his eyes at the fact they have to do this.
Aiden remains silent until his father places a firm hand on his shoulder. Aiden huffs but apologises.
"I'm sorry that we bullied you Kyle," Aiden apologises without any sincerity.
Brax clenches his teeth together in anger; these kids aren't sorry at all!
He looks at his brother to make sure he's okay then suddenly remembers they have one more thing to sort out.
"Where are my brother's clothes?" Brax demands, glaring at the boys.
All three bullies shrug, they don't want to tell Kyle's brother what happened to Kyle's clothes or admit to their parents.
"Where are his clothes?" Brax repeats a little louder this time.
"We burnt them," Wesley finally admits, causing all of the parents to look furiously at their boys.
Kyle's head drops and he runs his hands through his hair.
Now Brax will have to buy him all new clothes and it wasn't like they were made of money, despite Brax's business skills with his restaurant.
"How can you do that? This is just unbelievable boys!" Mr. Conners says.
"Cause it was funny. We didn't burn his books or anything. Just his clothes," Aiden says.
"Oh well that's okay then," Missy James says sarcastically.
"Really? Cool," Grant smirks, causing his two friends to hit him; their friend can be so dumb sometimes.
"I was being sarcastic Grant," Missy says in an unimpressed tone.
"You burnt everything? Including his Nike runners and his vans?" Brax accuses.
The Nike shoes weren't cheap. They were a birthday present from Heath, the vans weren't cheap either but they were hand me downs from Casey.
"Yeah. We burnt everything," Aiden says with a shrug.
All of the parents look at each other and nod.
"Well in that case. Grant, your pocket money will be decreased until you have fully paid us back," Mrs. Peary says.
"That goes for both you Wesley and you too Aiden," Marie Connors informs, speaking up for Mrs. James as well.
"What do you mean pay you back?" Wesley asks, and the boys see their parents pulling out cash from their wallets and Mr. Conners gathering it all up and adding it up.
"Dad, what are you doing?" Aiden demands.
"Here's six-hundred dollars, it should be enough to buy a new sports uniform, runners, vans, a school shirt and some jeans. Whatever is left over I would like you to buy your brother something special. He didn't deserve the grief our sons gave him. I am also sorry for my son being the cause of any injuries to your other brother during that fight, " Mr. Conners says and tries to hand Brax the money.
"Thank you, but that's not necessary and as for the fight with my brother, Casey; he was in the wrong to break your son's nose but given what has happened with Kyle, I can't apologise for that," Brax says as he runs his hand through Kyle's hair.
"I do not blame you, and please I insist you take the money. Anyway, it's not us paying. Our boys will be paying us back all this money," Jeff says, and this time Brax takes the money, after all, it was the least they could do after the bullies ruined his clothes.
"Thank you," Brax says and turns to Kyle's bullies.
"Well, I think we have sufficiently dealt with today's events, so if you please Mrs. Peary, Mrs. James and Mr. and Mrs. Connors, escort your sons out of the school; their suspension and expulsion starts now. Aiden, I will give you twenty minutes to pack up your locker," Bianca states sternly.
The disgruntled parents exit the office with their sons, leaving only Kyle, Brax and Bianca.
"Are you okay, Kyle?" Bianca asks softly.
Before Kyle responds, Brax speaks up.
"Actually Bianca, are we right go? I feel Kyle needs to go home and calm down after today," Brax asks.
"Yes, of course. In fact, Kyle, you can have the rest of the week off. I'll bring you any homework that you have, but there will be no rush to get any of it done, even though I know you strive for academics, you have been through a lot today, Kyle, and no-one expects you to be your usual self," Bianca says to the timid boy.
"That sounds like a good idea," Brax responds, "You okay with that Ky?"
Kyle nods.
"Thanks Bianca," he whispers and manages to look up at Bianca.
"Let's go then, kiddo," Brax instructs and leads Kyle to the door so that he can get him home.
"Thanks again, Bianca," Brax says before leaving the office with his arm wrapped around Kyle's shoulders.
Kyle shuffles out to Brax's Ute, just hoping it's really all over.
