Opening File: Asgard
Drawn directly from Norse mythology, Asgard is the home of a powerful pantheon of gods, including Thor. It is a small, other dimensional planetoid (its surface area being about the same as the continental United States), whose nature and physics are different from those of planetary bodies in the Earthly dimension. Asgard is a part of the so called Nine Worlds.
Asgard is not a sphere like the Earth, but a relatively flat landmass suspended in space. Asgard does not rotate about its axis, nor does it revolve around a sun. Asgard does have intervals of night and day of undisclosed duration, so some object or force functions as a sun. There is no evidence of changing seasons, however portions of Asgard are in perpetual winter while others are in perpetual summer.
Asgard's gravity apparently radiates from somewhere below it, assuming gravity works there as it does on Earth: there is a 'top' and a 'bottom' to Asgard. At the edges of Asgard's landmass, a being or object can fall into a void, but some unknown force apparently keeps the edges themselves from same force also prevents the bodies of water along Asgard's boundaries from pouring into the void and prevents Asgard's atmosphere from escaping. Asgard has been described as floating on a 'Sea of Space.' This sea apparently has a surface, one that is navigable by Asgardian ships, which resemble Viking longboats.
The exact nature of space within the Asgardian dimension is unknown. While Asgard's gravity is roughly analogous to Earth's, common matter is considerably denser on average. For instance, a chair made of Asgardian wood is heavier and stronger than a chair made of Earthly wood. Rock, water, flesh, bone, steel: all matter is denser and thus more durable. The Asgardian dimension includes other areas the inhabitants refer to the totality as the Nine Worlds.
Four of them are located on the main landmass: Asgard, home of the Aesir; Vanaheim, home of their sister race, the Vanir; Nidavellir, home of the Dwarves; and Alfheim, home of the Light Elves. The others are in nearby, i.e. easily accessible dimensions. These levels do not represent any real physical distances or relationships. Instead, they represent the interdimensional relationships between the realms.
Jotunheim, the home of the Giants, is a flat ring-shaped realm with high mountains along its inner edge. Svartalfheim, home of the Dark Elves, is another planetoid, smaller than Asgard. There are several dimensional portals between the mountains of Jotunheim and Svartalfheim and the mountains of Asgard, permitting easy passage by denizens of each realm. These portals make Jotunheim and Svartalfheim seem like 'underworlds' of the Asgardian continent itself.
Muspelheim, land of the Fire Demons. In Asgardian cosmology, Muspelheim and Nifflheim existed first, separated from one another by Ginnungagap, the Yawning Void. Another of the Nine Worlds is Hel, realm of the dead, and its sister realm, Niffleheim. In the Asgardian afterlife, heroes and the honored dead go to Valhalla, a special region of Asgard; the common dead go to Hel; and the dishonored dead (murderers and other evildoers) go to Nifflheim.
The Continent of Asgard has many region such as Nornheim, Gundersheim, Varinheim, Ringsfjord, Thryheim, Hindi, Skornheim, Gymirsgard, Nastrond. There are also smaller Kingdoms such as Harokin and Jolena. Asgard is honeycombed with portals to the other parts of the Nine Worlds, making the worlds with the exception of Earth sometimes seem like they are on a contiguous plain; indeed, early cartographers of Asgard mapped it this way. The only permanent portal to Earth, Bifrost, the Rainbow Bridge, has recently been shattered, severing Asgard's connection with Earth and making passage between realms difficult.
There is a special passageway from Asgard to the extradimensional realm of Olympus, home of the Greek gods. Since Olympus is not a part of the Asgardian cosmology, this portal is believed to be an artificial rather than natural phenomenon. Another unique feature of Asgard is the Cave of Time, an apparently natural phenomenon through which passage to other times is possible. Midgard, Earth, does not appear to be physically affected by the motions of any of the other physical bodies in the Asgardian cosmology, although Earth's axis, the imaginary pole around which it rotates is in alignment with one of the roots of Yggdrasil, the cosmic ash tree that stands in Asgard.
Somewhere in Asgard's outlying Sea of Space there may be floating portals to Earth's space, because Earth beings have been able to travel from Earthly to Asgardian space. There may also be an edge to Asgard's Sea of Space, perhaps at the perimeter of the 'Dome of the Sky' extending from the outer edge of ringed Jotunheim. At the edge of the Sea there would exist 'Dimensional borderlands' which serve as transitional areas between discrete dimensions. Asgard and its sister realms are populated by six distinct humanoid races, described under Asgardians.
Besides these, there are several singular creatures that exist in the Nine Worlds. The first is the Jormungand the Midgard Serpent, an immense snake or dragon whose body encircles the inner edge of the mountains of Jotunheim closest to Midgard. The Midgard Serpent lies at the very edge of the dimensional boundary between Jotunheim and Midgard and prevents easy passage between dimensions. The second is the winged dragon Nidhogg, who lives in Nifflheim and gnaws at one of the roots of Yggdrasil.
The third is the giant wolf-god Fenrir, who was responsible for the war-god Tyr losing a hand. Fenrir was imprisoned in the distant land of Varinheim but was later freed by Loki after he was corrupted by the Pit of Hate. The fourth creature is the primordial ice giant Ymir. After the Gem and Grimm invasion of Asgard, Thor was slain in battle and Odin cut off all contact with Midgard but allowed Valhallen to journey to Earth with Thor's hammer.
It is said that once Thor is revived it will lead to the beginning of Ragnarok.

Opening File: Odin
Odin, also known as the The AllFather is a God in Norse mythology, ruler of Asgard and protector of the Nine Realms. Billions of years ago Odin, lead his fellow gods, Ra and Rama, to battled The Black Mass somewhere in the vastness of space. Their divine weapons injured and burned the Black Mass in the same way that Jack's Katana did, but given the self-regeneration powers that the entity possessed, it could not be defeated in a few blows, since its substance was difficult to destroy even through the use of their collaborative attacks. In the battle, Odin cut off a part of the entity with Gungnir, but its divine power did not burn away the severed part completely, which allowed it to drift away from the scene and seemingly went unnoticed by them.
For countless eons, the fragment floated in space until it crashed into the prehistoric Earth and caused the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event. The fragment then became a pool of black tar-like substance and a black forest soon appeared around it. Sometime after that the Ultimate Evil from an alternate future arrived and altered the fragment, creating a new force of destruction to destroy all life on Earth and possibly beyond.
Thus the Creatures of Grimm were born.
It was around this time that Odin had fathered two sons, Thor and Valhallen and adopted a third son named Loki. Odin sought to father a son whose power would derive from both Asgard and Midgard. Thor was born between a union between Odin and Gaia, a goddess who was one of the Elder Gods while the identity of Valhallen's mother remains unknown at this time. Odin's wife, the goddess Frigga, acted as Valhallen and Thor's mother from that time onward.
Both of Odin's sons were born with an important purpose that had been unknown to them. Through Thor, Odin hoped to break the cycle of Ragnarok, a dark event where the Asgardians die and are later reborn with only vague memories of their past lives. While through Valhallen, Odin wanted Midgard to always have a protector to ensure the Grimm never spread beyond and attacked other worlds, such as Asgard. However these fears came true when a corrupted Loki unleashed the Grimm on Asgard, starting a great war that ended with the death of Thor, the capture of the Grimm and the imprisonment of Loki by Odin himself.
Despite Thor's loss it seemed that the cycle of Ragnarok had been broken, even if it had not been done the way Odin had wished. Deciding that Asgard had seen enough war for the time being Odin cut off contact with Midgard but allowed his other son, Valhallen to journey there with Thor's hammer that had been enchanted to find a new wielder and bless them with Thor's powers and essence, creating a new Thor, even if it meant restarting Ragnarok. Back on Earth, during one of the periods when the Grimm were dormant The Emperor decided to destroy the evil at its source. With a magical elixir that was given by a Buddhist Monk, The Emperor and his cavalry charged into the forest, only to have his entire army slain by trees that suddenly sprang out from the ground and impaled them.
Continuing his journey to the black pool, the Emperor recited a sutra, dipped his arrow into the elixir and then fired it towards the sun to ignite it. When the arrow plunged into the pool, it seemed that the elixir had worked when the trees that grew from the pool withdrew to the pool's depth and then re-merged as the Grimm, now awakened and ready to destroy all life again much to his horror. Odin then sent Sleipnir to rescue the Emperor and brought him to a temple on a mountaintop. From the purity of his spirit, they crafted a katana for the Emperor to awaken his Aura and train a new generation of warriors to battle the Grimm.

"The Apocalypse, Judgement Day or just the end of the world. We all have our own theories on how the world might end one day. Whether it's because the polar icecaps start to melt, volcanoes erupt and spew enough ashes to block out the sun or a meteor will just hit the planet and wipe out all life like the dinosaurs." TOM remarked as the file closed. "Perhaps the world will end one day but does that mean life as we know has to end as well."

"What were you thinking, Yellow!?"
Yellow Diamond simply sat down and closed her eyes, waiting patiently for Blue to finish her scolding. If anything she was pleased to hear the way Blue was speaking. "No one was terribly injured in the spar, Blue. The Rubies were poofed while the Slime Elemental is recovering."
"An entire training room destroyed and you call that a spar?!" Blue retorted, actually sounding angry. Very angry. "You allowed the fight to go on, even when it had clearly beyond the safety limitations. The Slime and the other Elementals could have been brutally damaged."
"But they were not." Yellow opened her eyes. "If anything they've shown that Earth's warriors are just as powerful as they were back then, maybe even more so."
"And how is that relevant?" Blue asked.
"It means that the Gems I sent to investigate the Cluster have failed to report back since their departure which can only mean that they have possibly run into trouble." Yellow answered. "It can only be the work of those leftover Gem rebels or Earth's warriors."
"That does not matter right now. What matters now is that I am taking over in supervising the training of the Elementals." Blue said, her tone refusing any form of argument. "I will not allow for such recklessness with Pink's organics again."
She didn't bother to hear any reply Yellow had before leaving the room.

For Johnny it all happened faster than a blink.
He closed his eyes for one split second…
And then he was somewhere else completely.
And dumped on his head.
"All-Father Odin, I have returned with the chosen one." He heard Brunnhilde speak and instantly jumped to his feet.
Johnny Bravo, the successor of Thor stood in the realm of Asgard. Specifically he was in Odin's Throne room, Hlidskjalf. It was indeed a grand chamber, lacking a roof and allowing anyone inside to look upon all the Nine Worlds. There was already a gathering for the return of Thor with many watching from a grand audience on either side of the throne room.
And seated on the golden throne was Odin himself.
Odin resembled what one would have seen in the history books: resembling a Viking with a blond beard, dressed in a tunic of white and gold with a large winged helmet. He had an air of benevolence and wisdom that instantly brought respect and awe for the power that he wielded. As a ruler of Norse gods, his entire person shone with a divine yet serene light. Standing to him was a beautiful young woman with long, straight silver hair and aqua colored eyes who appeared to be in her late teens.
She wore Valkyrie armor that exactly resembled the armor Brunnhilde wore except she had pink lacing on her black stockings along with her hair clips. Any other time Johnny would have instantly hit on such a pretty lady but right now he was thinking something else.
"Father?! Nothing happened!" Johnny backed away, holding up his hands and gestured to Brunnhilde. "We're just friends! She tried to kiss me, I said no!"
To his surprise Odin simply laughed in amusement. "No, you got the wrong idea. You see, here's the thing: you have been chosen by Mjolnir and gifted with the power of Thor. Thus whoever is found worthy is invited to join the company of immortals."
"Sweet." Johnny said, liking the idea already. "My talents have finally been recognized." He flexed his muscles with Mjolnir in his hand, conjuring several bolts of lightning before stopping. "I suppose I get to eat, drink, fight all day and get pampered by a gorgeous Viking chick." He gestured to Brunnhilde as he finished.
Odin simply threw his head back and laughed while the woman standing next to him seemed a bit flustered. "Oh heavens no. You have to prove your worthiness by fighting a Frost Giant. We named the one you must fight…Chip."
"…Chip?" Johnny asked.
"Oh yeah, he's nasty one." Someone from the audience called out. "Ate anyone who ever fought him."
"Sure did. Swallowed them whole." Another said.
"Didn't even bother to chew." Odin added, shaking his head.
Needless to say that was not something Johnny was looking forward to. "Riiight. So listen, it's been great hobnobbing with you gods and all but I gotta get home and not get killed by a giant."
"Yeah okay. You have a nice trip now, bye-bye." Odin snapped his fingers and in a flash of light Johnny was gone. "Exactly like Thor was when he was a wee one."

"GAH!"
Johnny expected to be sent home but instead he was now standing in the middle of an arctic wasteland. A second later Brunnhilde appeared in a flash of lightning.
"Brunnhilde!" Johnny exclaimed. "Have you been sent to help me?"
"No. I've been sent to carry back your lifeless body." The Valkyrie answered as if the next few minutes would not be a matter of life and death for the new Thor.
"Ah, well," Johnny said with a nervous smile. "Looking forward to working with you. So where are we?"
"We are in Jotunheim." Brunnhilde answered. "A dark realm where no one has anything nice to say about anything."
Johnny spotted a random…guy walking past them and had to ask. "Is that true?"
"Kiss my pointed ears!" Was all the short guy with horse legs, horns and pointed ears had to say.
"Here's where you're going to be fighting the horrible Frost Giant to the death." Brunnhilde continued.
"Okay, here's why that's not going to happen. A) he'll hurt me. B) that'll make me scream like a little girl and nobody wants to heart that. And C)-" Johnny stopped as he backed away and hit something.
That something turned out to be a gargantuan sized titan made of ice, wearing nothing but an icy loincloth around its waist.
"Ohhhh my stars!" Cried a voice from within Johnny's hair before a familiar purple form grew into view.
"Amethyst?!" Johnny caught the Gem as she sprang off of his head. "How'd you- wait, hold that thought." He raced away from the frost giant, giving a high pitched scream as Amethyst clung to him.
Brunnhilde narrowed her eye as she noticed Amethyst in Johnny's arms. "A Gem…"
"Heh wow, you really do sound like a girl." Amethyst teased. "Can't you just, y'know, bring on lightning or something? You're Thor now, bro!"
"I am?" Johnny slid to a stop and set her down. "Right, I am!"
"Remember to go for the head!" Amethyst advised.
"Well duh, who wouldn't go for the head?" Johnny asked, leading to a moment of silence. "…why'd I feel angry for a second when I said that? Eh, whatever."
Taking Mjolnir by the strap, he spun it around and, with a mighty yell, flung it towards the frost giant…only for it to bounce off of its chest. The gargantuan being looked down, unimpressed before growling at the now unarmed Johnny.
"Why'd you aim for the chest?! You should've gone for the head, man!" Amethyst shouted.
"Okay seriously, why is it whenever anybody mentions something about going for the head I feel like I wanna crawl into a pot of chili and-" Johnny was cut off when the Frost Giant snatched him up in one hand. "Whoa, mama!"
"Hang on, Johnny!" Amethyst materialized her signature whip and wrapped it around one of the Frost Giant's legs, tugging with all of her strength. "Hnnnnn!"
"Uh…Amethyst?"
"Quiet, please!" Amethyst turned and tried to take one step away from the giant.
"Amethyst."
"Hang on, let me knock this guy over first!" Amethyst strained…her feet failing to find friction on the icy ground beneath her.
The Frost Giant and Johnny both stared at the struggling Gem, the former muttering something which Johnny somehow understood to mean. "This is just sad."
"Hey now mister, the girl's got spirit!" Johnny pointed his one free hand at the Forst Giant's face…right before Mjolnir slapped itself into his waiting palm. "Oh right, I forgot I can do that. Okay, take two!"
Taking another swing, Johnny struck the giant in the jaw with more force than the first time and knocked it off balance, causing it to drop him and fling Amethyst into the air as she held onto her whip.
"Whoaaaaa!" She flailed her arms as she flipped through the air…coming to land on the giant's chest as it began to push itself back up. "Oh no you don't!"
Adopting a new form, Amethyst became a rhinoceros and charged straight for the head. "Straight for the heeeeeead-"
THUNK.
Amethyst found her horn sunk into the giant's face, stuck fast and doing little more than annoy it. "Um…be my friend?" She offered with a sheepish smile before it flicked her away likea mosquito. "Jeerrrrrrrrrrk….!"
Pulling himself out of the snow and ice, Johnny saw Amethyst's flight and felt a surge of anger. "Oh, that cuts it." Without meaning to he had Thor's signature helmet reform around his head as he turned towards the rising giant. "Pal, no one, and I mean no one uses Johnny's friends as a golf ball!"
Thunder rumbled overhead as Johnny spun Mjolnir and slowly rose into the air, conjuring a storm which included winds so great that entire sections of ice and rock were ripped from the surrounding ground, creating a hailstorm which struck the giant from all directions as it tried to lash out at the flying warrior.
And then, it was hit with a most discomforting sensation.
That of its feet leaving the ground as it was slowly lifted up by the gusts that Johnny was generating.
"He's conjured an entire storm, simply by being enraged at the giant's treatment of his apparent friend." Brunnhilde muttered, covering her eyes to protect them from the gust and snow.
"Now I need a cool catch line!" Johnny rubbed his jaw before he was hit with a thought. "Oh, got it! I accept your surrender!"
"I ain' surrendering." The giant deadpanned, leading to an awkward silence between the two.
"Okay then, um…" Johnny dive bombed the airborne giant. "JALAPENOS ARE SPICEY!"
"Duh." The giant said before being hit full force in its center of mass and flung back down into the ground below. The impact shot up a geisure of snow and ice so high that it was visible for miles around while chains of lightning crackled around its base.
When it cleared, the giant was nowhere to be seen, reduced to a pile of fragments from which Johnny poked his head out of. "Okay, I either won…or I'm in the giant's stomach and this snow stuff is digesting me." He considered the possibilities before giving yet another high pitched scream. "I'm being digested! Oh the gooey juices!"
"No you're not, dude!" Amethyst said, returning in the form of a falcon before resuming her usual shape. "You won!"
"I did?" Johnny climbed to his feet. "How many surprises have we had today? 'Cuz I'm losing count."
"Well, this is a surprise." Both looked at Brunnhilde as she walked forward, stopping a few feet away. "You defeated the horrible Frost Giant."
"That's right. Now how about a little post battle lip lock?" Johnny asked and was rewarded with another bonk on the head.
"Now then," Brunnhilde pulled out her sword and pointed it at Amethyst who jumped back. "Onto the matter of the Gem."
"Whoa-whoa! Lady, I'm with him!" Amethyst pointed at the downed Johnny. "I'm a Crystal Gem."
"So you say." Brunnhilde said calmly. "However, I am not one for taking chances. After all, your kind invaded Asgard and weakened our forces just before the Grimm attacked us as well."
Amethyst's eyes widened at that little bit of information. "Wait, I didn't know about that and I wasn't even there."
"Maybe not but you snuck into Asgard and interfered in a battle meant only for the chosen one." Brunnhilde stated coldly. "I take great offense to anyone who sneaks into Asgard. Especially ones who used me to sneak in."
"Brunnhilde wait. She's a friend who helped me." Johnny stood back up. "There's no need to hurt her."
"No there isn't." Brunnhilde seemingly agreed. "I'll drag her to Odin first so he can best decide how she is to be executed. We have a strict policy towards spies, especially Gem spies."
