Opening File: Shapeshifters

Hailing from the planet Ni'Rah Shapeshifters were the only name any outsiders had for the sentient species that lived there. The people that lived there were extremely advanced and possessed advanced shapeshifting abilities. They were present long before the dawn of the galactic communities and even the Asgardians. Shapeshifters can manipulate their bodies into any shape or size and can stretch in a very fluid fashion.

They have bodies that contain similar skeletal and neurological elements that humans hold but can modify the size, shape, and dimensions of every part of their bodies. Not only could they stretch and contort themselves into highly specific forms, but they could also rearrange their internal organs, bones, and teeth. Their shapeshifting could even grant them supernatural strength, making them strong enough to overpower any enemies they may have had. Shapeshifters paid little attention to the rest of the universe but were known well enough by other races, including Gems and Plutarkians but rarely seen.

It is rumored that the Shapeshifters had become extinct, either through a natural catastrophe, overpopulation or even extraterrestrial invasion.

Opening File: Outcast Island

Outcast Island is the home of the Outcast Tribe, a tribe of Vikings that have been banished from various tribes, particularly the Hooligan Tribe. Not much is known about how the Tribe got started or how they arrived on Outcast Island. At the time when Berk started living with dragons instead of hunting them Alvin the Treacherous had been the chief of the Tribe for some time. He himself was banished from Berk, but it is unclear if the other Outcast Tribesmen are also from Berk, other locations, or already existed before Alvin became chief.

Outcasts were Vikings who were so vicious, so terrible and sneaking and burglarious, that they had been cast out of regular Viking society, and had formed an extraordinarily ferocious Tribe of their own. It was even rumored that some Outcasts ate their enemies. Their founder is the Royal Chief, Thugheart. Thugheart was the treacherous and barbaric son of Grimbeard the Ghastly. About a hundred years before the Vikings of Berk learned how to live alongside dragons Thugheart was banished here for his treachery that lead to the downfall of the Kingdom of the Wilderwest. Thugheart united all the inhabitants of the islands and formed the Treacherous Tribe, and became its first Chief.

Most of the members of the Outcast Tribe, however, are derived from other Viking Tribes who were exiled from their tribes of origin, hence the name 'Outcast'. The Outcast Land is located rather close to the Isle of Berk, which is adjacent from the South. Adjacent from the East is the Mainland. Adjacent from the Southeast is the Peaceable Country. To the West lies the Visithug Territory, and to the Northeast lies Nothing and the Frozen Isle of Nowhere.

"So far as we can tell, your wife and the baby are completely fine."

The future parents of Eddy Mcgee were just like your average normal parents, even in a world populated by actual monsters. By the time Eddy and his friends had disappeared she was 42 years old and had a part-time job as a supermarket cashier, but was usually at home fulfilling the job as housewife.

She's usually called 'Jackie' by her husband and friends, because of her husband's name and their similar posture. She was slightly balding and possesses a big collection of wigs to satisfy her need to start every day with a fresh hairdo. She's the boss in the house and her word is final judgement. She has strawberry blonde hair, usually replaced with a yellow blonde wig, blue eyes, wears large amounts of lipstick, yellow eyeshadow, different earrings to go with her wig, and yellow with red striped dresses.

She was also fairly large.

Eddy's father on the other hand was named Jack who was 40 years old and a talented car salesman, unlike his appearance suggested. He is a caring father who might've spoiled Eddy a bit too much after his first son started acting up. Nevertheless, when either one slacks off, he shows no patience for it and turns livid. He's also very conservative in the sense he doesn't want Eddy to entertain himself with feminine things, and him growing up to become a figure skater is a fear he expressed.

Even though Eddy's not feminine, his level of self-care and love for fashion might give him these odd beliefs. While Eddy's brother is difficult company to have and he left on bad terms, Jack and his wife couldn't clean out his room and pasted wallpaper over this door instead. They still wish to welcome him in, though Eddy's brother knows it'll come with a roaring scolding from his father. Jack is the kind of person who never wants to let a party die or say to a friend goodbye.

He had three black hairs, blue eyes, a beard, and wore a green striped shirt. He was extremely large, but used to be way thinner and better taken care of in the past.

"So what bit her? Was it a Grimm?" Jack asked, trying to stay calm.

"We've been examining the bite mark and the left over slime. Whatever it was it doesn't match any animal or Grimm we know of." The doctor explained. "I used my Semblance to examine the slime the creature left behind. It's…almost like it's alive. I suggest that after your son is born you allow him to be examined just in case there is anything…different."

Xxx

"This…is different."

The doctor could only stare in absolute shock as the baby, named Eddy by his parents, laughed as his arms and legs stretched out like rubber.

Not to mention he standing and dancing!

"Doctor Princess, what is going on?" Jackie asked, staring in shock with her husband.

The doctor placed her hand on Eddy and activated her Semblance. Her Semblance allowed her to examine her patients on a microscopic level, finding a diagnosis in a matter of minutes.

"Your son's body…It feels like his bones, cells and even his skin are alive and moving all at once." Doctor Princess said, absolutely shocked at what she was seeing. "I am not sure I can even describe what is going on."

"So…What do we do?" Jack slowly asked.

"What do you want?"

"We want…Our son to be normal. If people see him like this, he'll be treated like a freak." Jackie said, tearing up at the mere thought of her son being an outcast.

Doctor Princess considered her options. "…I might know someone. They have a special Semblance that can seal certain functions in the body. They most use it to seal pain receptors in the body for certain kinds of patients…"

Xxx

"Well I can honestly say, your father knows how to throw a party in our honor." Ross gave a compliment to his Berkian teammate and watches the villagers gather foods around and playing music, and could pretty much guess Yara would perhaps be selling a few things and maybe buy some that they will need.

He let Superboy and Artemis to go with her and North, mostly to let them see the place to get a break after the training during the trip.

"Yes, stubborn but cares for me deeply." Said Erika as she walked beside her teammate. "Still… all that just happened, the Sanctuary in possibly under threat and to find out the stories of the stoned warrior be true. Only to be the very hero we looked up to in the stories I've heard from as a child. Usually my favorites were the fight with the Red Death or the Dragon Hunter Wars we learnt in history."

Ross nodded and can tell she was shaken by the news since that Gem showed up and asked her of where she came from after seeing her ship's emblem. Erika told her of her origins and then came the startled news of her encounter in Berk. At first she was unable to believe it until Pearl said the stories that fit almost that of early Berkian history that no one but few outside their culture knew about. The projection she revealed from the gem stone from her head was also enough to believe her.

She couldn't believe the monster that ruled their ancestral island for centuries was actually the hero and chief of Berk. No, not a monster, a cursed lost soul trapped in the body of rock by the true monsters that plague their world. And she will grant him the freedom to be with his family.

"Don't worry; you've got us to back you up." Ross told her with an assuring smile. "Remember, we're a team and look out for each other."

The redhead smiled back and nodded with confidence. "Thanks, I knew there had to be a reason I respect you as our leader. Just so much to take in: Thor's hammer, the Sanctuary and now this. But…was there any response from Global Justice or anyone?"

"Actually there was." Ross nodded "Jerry filled me in on stuff and it turns out Van Rook has been doing some jobs related to Cryptids has quickly become the top client to one V.V. Argost."

"But unlike the Saturdays, he wanted to prove their existence for money. No doubt he would do the same to dragons." Erika frowned, not liking the idea of her people or the dragons be exploited. "And to find out Doyle is working for him? When I see him, he'd better have a very good reason why I shouldn't kick his ass. I knew I should've gone with him when I knew he'd get into all sorts of trouble!" She sighed and shook her head.

Of all the times that they would run into each other, trouble had to follow in the worst way possible.

"Thought that would be Yara's habit, you'd think those two are related somehow?" Ross chuckled and hated to be in Doyle's shoes right now. It was clearly obvious from time to time and not to mention it to her or Yara's teasing. "I'm sure he has a good reason, after all there was this other message about something important he found."

"Still doesn't change the fact that he's in big trouble. I'd better go check on Moonlight while we're here. We could maybe use some extra hands for the mission." She walked up ahead of him to at least take her mind off and have a bit of fun catching up with familiar faces.

Xxx

"Honestly I can't understand what goes on in your head, Lodin. And to say stuff like that to Erika about Doyle?" The person questioning her chief and husband while walking through the village was none other than Leda Alhberg, the mother of the huntress Erika.

She looked a lot like her daughter with a slim and curvy figure and looked to be in about her 30s by appearance but with long blonde hair in twin braids, wore a blue cape with a furred collar for warmth and in a formal outfit to look pleasant in the time of celebration upon the return of their daughter but then turned to worry upon the news of what they told her. Like her husband she took her role seriously to watch over for her people while raising and loving her family at the same time. She had been known as the fiercest woman in the tribe and yet married the chief out of love. Although at times she can put up with his antics and keep him from getting into trouble which her daughter inherited from her as a big relief.

"Oh you know I was only doing that to test her faith, she's a strong lass and proven herself a capable Huntress. But the news from Doyle about this fella finding the Sanctuary took a lot on me." The chief sighed, still trying to recover from his shock of the news, uncertain how to tell it to their allies and villagers about this new chosen wielder of Thor's hammer.

"So it's true then, a new Thor has been chosen." It didn't escape her ears since his voice could be heard through all of New Berk. "I suppose this one wasn't who we expected to be, but we cannot change it now. But with the current situation I would never believe Doyle would ever reveal our secrets after all we've done for him."

"She knows I would never doubt the lad since I consider him part of the family and the tribe." He told her without hesitation.

Leda shared that sentiment. Ever since her husband came home with the orphaned boy and explained what happened she had felt remorse for him and supported Lodin's choice since she thought it was noble, especially given how their daughter almost instantly bonded with him upon first meeting. "And it's good to know the special bond they share is still strong. But no doubt that boy might have gotten himself into trouble, again. I blame you for that part."

Lodin laughed softly. "Oh come now, you can't blame all on me. Well… apart from the time we visited to Scotland… oh, now I should've warned him not to go toe-to-toe with them. And you two scolded us for starting a fight. Oh good memories."

Leda sighed and rolled her eyes. True, over time Doyle might have picked up on Lodin's childish acts like getting into petty fights and trouble- which she would sometimes blame him for that, but this only reminded her of when they were young as well, especially with how Erika started to become more like her when she'd started to fall for Lodin.

She smiled mentally at the thought of it as how she acted and defended Doyle by the tone of her voice. "I think it be time she and I have a mother and daughter talk about things."

Lodin gave a puzzled look to her. "Eh? About what?"

She gave her husband a knowing look with one raised eyebrow. He started to catch on to where she was going and tried to change the subject, as it was one of those things a father wasn't so good or comfortable speaking about. "Well... uh... oh look at the time! I'd better go check on Fire Wing and Stryker. Want to get a good show for our guest."

With a few chuckles he slipped out of her sight to see the two large dragons, the Monstrous Nightmare who greeted his partner after coming down to land after a long flight and beside him was a large green dragon with armor plating around the head and back and a curved red horn, this was known as the Rumblehorn, a Tracker-class Dragon. The chieftess decided to let it slide for now, but this discussion was far from over.

Xxx

"Unbelievable." Artemis spoke in astonishment to see real dragons; of course she would've expected it but didn't imagine what they would look like, that there would be so many types.

She stopped upon seeing a blacksmith with a small stubby looking dragon that spat out molten rock after eating chunks of it. "Just imagine how Wally would've reacted seeing all this."

Looking around, she could see a few more flying about in many shapes and sizes, even the smallest ones the size of dogs.

Conner chuckled and can picture it already. "No kidding, he'd probably want one for a souvenir."

The archer rolled her eyes and had some idea. "No way would we be bringing one home for him."

The archer was dressed in the attire suited for the climate thanks to REYN. Here they were safe and she considered it best to maybe not go about in her hero costume all the time to make it easier to walk about without being recognized by the Fallen and their allies. "But doesn't mean we can't bring something that may improve our chances here. I'd like to know more about the Dust."

"Oh come on, Gruff, these gauntlets can break the hardest armor plating of a Grimm." They can hear Yara making a statement to someone, possibly to sell some items she had gathered to sell to the village.

A man in light armor with a short beard and long dreadlocks and a light scar on his cheek stood before them, having a discussion with Yara of what to give.

"Plus, we may need some for the assignment that might be pretty dangerous."

"I wouldn't think so since they are too heavy for you, plus North wouldn't need them with fists like his. Instead I'll trade in some materials you asked for in exchange for any spare Dust you got." The man, Gruff, offered.

Yara thought it over and could spare some she wasn't using.

"Fine, here's a bag for you to work on, maybe something we could afford for our friends here." She gestured to the heroes beside them.

Gruff nodded and handed her the shield before taking the Dust in exchange. "It wasn't easy but we're lucky to run into a man who had wings after a fight by the look of it, not ordinary wings but three!"

This caught the three by surprise to hear such a description.

"Three wings? Anyone you know of?" Conner asked her.

She shook her head and gave an honest reply. "Not one I ever heard of. Maybe some rare winged Faunus or magical being."

North was looking through the armory and spotted something out of the corner of his eye, a large metallic armor in the form of a beetle. It possessed red eyes and golden markings on its back.

"Where did you find this?" He held it out to show them.

"Oh that? Found it by the northern islands, not sure where it came from but thought it would make a good shield or armor." Gruff told him.

"Perhaps I would like purchase it. Here's a few to help." He said, giving some gold coins he had with him.

The Viking smiled and liked what he saw as business. "Done!"

With that done they would get ready for the night and enjoy the time.

"So you got what you're looking for?" Conner asked.

"Yep, just the basic stuff needed that could give us an edge, if what we heard is true then we need to be careful." Replied North, "and more importantly: prepared."

"So anything about this Van Rook? What makes him dangerous?" Artemis thought to ask.

"He's a Cryptozoologist and a mercenary who wants to expose unique creatures called Cryptids out of money and also works for whoever pays him the most, such as V.V. Argost." Yara explained to them, bringing out her tablet to show them the image.

Both got a good look at him wearing a helmet that greatly reminded them of Sportsmaster.

Yara continued, adding another image of Bertha. "This be Bertha the Barbarian, a former member of the Outcast Tribe and the cause of the mess we have right now. Both she and Erika are known to be rivals, our friend Doyle had to be very careful to avoid revealing his connections here."

"Once we capture him it would be best to have his memories altered to avoid anyone finding out about the dragons." North said.

"Sounds like a good idea, so do the Justice Friends have someone to do that?" Conner asked.

"No, we know someone. Jerry from Global Justice would do the trick once we meet them at the borders, the chief would allow them entry to take him." Yara said. "The tribe doesn't imprison any criminals it has. The island is too small for a prison and no one wants any criminals near the dragons."

"Rather the tribe exiles criminals to Outcast Island, a remote island with enough provisions to survive but far enough that they won't harm anyone and no boats will come across. It's close enough to the North Pole that it's almost always cold but the island sits on an active volcano, making it warm enough so that the people living there can survive and it barely has enough trees for building shelter so they cannot build any kind of boat for escaping. The Outcast tribe itself is made up of Vikings who have committed horrible crimes, perhaps crimes even more horrific than anything you two have seen in your world. Though ruthless and lacking in morals these criminals eventually come together, forming a bond thicker than blood and thinner than water." North cut in. "Many of their leaders have been given titles to describe their nature such as Alvin the Treacherous, Dagur the Deranged and most recently Bertha the Barbarian."

"Sounds like a whole line of charmers." Artemis muttered.

"Indeed. Over the years the Outcasts slowly but surely managed construct a small number of boats to allow them to leave the island and they have made a living as mercenaries and bandits. Berk and the other surrounding tribes have had to protect islands and boats from these raids. The raiders stick close to home, never venturing far because aside from old style maps there is next to nothing known what lies out there and even less about the people that are born amongst the Outcast Tribe."

"Like Bertha the Barbarian." Yara cut in.

"Yes. Those born in the Outcast Tribe, because of how far the island is from the rest of civilization, do not have any personal information in any database, even for the Justice Friends and Global Justice. Before she made her debut as a member of the Injustice Friends Bertha the Barbarian never officially existed. No birth certificates, no history, finger prints, nothing." North continued. "The Outcast tribe is made up of people who in the eyes of the rest of the world do not exist."

"Except for the people they attack." Connor said knowingly.

"Excatly." North nodded. "So be extra cautious when out on these water. It's not a place for the unprepared."

"Trust us, we'll be prepared." Artemis replied. "That's a promise."

Xxx

"Asgard, Earth, you will all remember to fear us and our power."

"Funny. I was about to say the same thing to you." Valhallen said, him and Krunk ready to take one of the most powerful beings in the known universe.

The battle between an Empress against a Prince and the Earth's Mightiest Mortal had begun.

Yellow Diamond was the first to make a move, befitting her style of immediately destroying any threat in her way. She drew her sword from her scabbard and slashed down on the two intruders, channeling her power of electricity directly into her blade. Valhallen and Krunk immediately, splitting up as they jumped in opposite directions as the blade shattered the ground where they had stood. Narrowing her eyes at the fact that she had missed Yellow Diamond immediately sheathed her sword, keeping her hand gripped on the hilt as she turned around, looking for her opponents.

She spotted Valhallen flying at her on his Mighty Axe, jumping and grabbing his guitar and swung it at her head. Yellow Diamond partially unsheathed her Galaxy Storm, blocking the strike before pushing the Asgardian back. She immediately spotted Krunk as he jumped, swinging a fist at her and reacted by sheathing her blade and channeling her power into the scabbard, creating an electrical energy shield that not only protected but shocked and blasted Krunk away. Yellow Diamond then charged at Krunk while he was stunned, intent on finishing him off quickly.

However Valhallen played a note, releasing a sonic blast that hit Yellow Diamond, disorientating her enough for Krunk to recover and attack again by slamming his fist into her torso. Yellow Diamond was sent flying back to the other side of the arena but managed to remain standing.

She lifted her head, glaring at the two as they regrouped. 'A sound based attack? No Asgardian I've met before ever used sound as a weapon. Almost all Asgardian aside from Thor himself preferred to fight old fashioned melee style. Thor wielded electricity in a manner similar to me, I would have thought his sibling was similar.' She scoffed. 'No matter. If he has abilities I have never seen before I will simply react as I would to any other attack.'

By crushing it.

Yellow Diamond was pulled away from her inner thoughts as Valhallen and Krunk both rushed her. They began fighting in tandem, never allowing Yellow Diamond the chance to retreat or attack. The golden matriarch chose to play defense, channeling her power into her scabbard to create energy shields to block and then dodge when she chose move. She finally saw an opening and kicked Krunk away but before she could take any advantage Valhallen played a note and a bolt of lightning blasted from his guitar, hitting Yellow Diamond head on.

The blast was strong enough to send her skidding back into the wall, crashing into it. However Yellow Diamond still remained standing as she stepped out of the hole made from the impact.

'Man, she's not only tough but she can tank hits from both Krunk and me. Thor wasn't exaggerating when he told me about their fights.' Valhallen contemplated, watching as Yellow Diamond shook some dust from her shoulders. 'Out of the four Diamonds, Yellow is the one most like my brother. Head strong, aggressive and never hesitates to jump into a fight. It's no wonder their rivalry was big as the one Thor and Loki had. Still, I am not here to beat her but distract her while the others sneak in and get the Elementals. All I need to worry about is how long Krunk and I can keep this fight going before she decides to call her armies to take us down.'

Yellow Diamond readied herself to attack again, eyes narrowing at Valhallen. 'So he can use lightning like his sibling. Lightning and sound, a powerful combination and something I should expect from an Asgardian, especially the brother of Thor himself. His musical instrument is perhaps as important to him as Thor's hammer was so it means it is the source of his power. Eliminate the source of his power and he's just another low level grunt, even as an Asgardian.' She glanced at Krunk but paid him little mind. 'The other one is a simple brute, low in intelligence, obviously Earth's counterpart of our Rubies. He's likely a simple escort for the Asgardian but no matter. All I need is one simple cut and the cleaning drones will be hauling their remains off to the Special Zone to be dumped on the organics there.'

It has been a long time since Yellow Diamond had engaged in a real right with real opponents.

Though she should have been angry at their intrusion of Homeworld she wasn't.

Though she should have been furious it was likely an invasion by an enemy from a previous war she wasn't.

She wasn't annoyed.

She wasn't angry.

She wasn't even the slightest bit furious.

She was excited.

She was glad to face a worthy foe again.

For so long she had waited for a chance to feel this way.

A chance to forget her well-hidden misery that had been there since the day Pink was shattered.

A chance to release all of her hidden frustration and pain.

A chance to let go of the emotional control she had spent centuries trying to master for one glorious moment of worthy combat.

A chance to settle old scores.

Yellow Diamond smirked. 'I can't believe this is what it took to make me feel even the slightest bit better.'

She took off, charging at her enemies again, her power surging through her as she unsheathed Galaxy Storm again…

Ready to show the sibling of her old enemy who truly commanded the storm.

Valhallen noticed Yellow Diamond was gathering power into her sword and stepped in front of Krunk. "Stay behind me!"

"LIGHTNING ARC!" Yellow Diamond swung her blade, releasing all of its stored power a single blast of lightning that shot directly at the two Justice Friends.

Valhallen immediately played a variety of notes and from his Mighty Axe came a stream of white lightning that collided with Yellow Diamond's own attack, creating an explosion of light and electricity that would have blinded any eyes watching. Valhallen was grunting as he kept on playing notes, struggling to hold back the attack but it was so powerful. It was almost as if he was holding back the very cosmic storm his father had sealed inside Mjolnir. However he did not give up and soon enough the attack ended and he stopped playing his guitar.

The entire half of the arena they were on was scorched and devastated aside from the spot the Justice Friends stood on.

Yellow Diamond frowned but remained calm, simply observing the two for a moment. "Very well. Since I cannot end this fight quickly…"

Her entire form was engulfed in a bright light, making both wonder what she was planning. Both watched as the light shrunk the outline of the Diamond's body until she went from being fifty feet tall to eight feet. She remained otherwise complete the same as the light faded, opening her eyes and smirking slightly.

"Why yellow lady shrink?" Krunk wondered.

"You got me, bro. I wasn't expecting this." Valhallen answered, rubbing a bit of sweat from his forehead.

"This is what you can call my compact form." Yellow Diamond answered, gesturing to herself. "While I am loath to alter my shape, form or even my size since as a Diamond I represent the pinnacle of perfection I am capable of putting my pride aside. It will interest you to know that Thor himself was the one who pushed me to using this form."

"My brother forced you to shrink?" Valhallen questioned.

"It's a bit more complicated than that. Gems have the natural ability to alter their physical form, due to our bodies being made of light and energy but we Diamonds have learned to apply this method of shape shifting to a more tactical degree." Yellow Diamond smirked. "Such leaving less vulnerable areas for smaller life forms like to you exploit. We may shrink as you say but all the energy that we normally use to maintain our original forms is then diverted into increasing our own power."

As if to prove her point Yellow Diamond's electrical aura flared around her much brighter than before. It was almost she was about to turn into the literal heart of cosmic storm.

"Great. Looks like we got our work cut out for us buddy." Valhallen said, ready to play another note.

Krunk clenched his fists. "Krunk no like to hit ladies but Krunk still smash bad guys!"

"I'm with you there, bro." Valhallen smirked.

And with that the battle had begun anew.

Xxx

"Though I have no wish to harm creatures from her planet…" Blue Diamond summoned a sphere of light in her hand. "Do not believe it to be a weakness."

She then threw the sphere and the battle between Empress and Royal Knight had begun.

Team CROW quickly dodged, splitting apart in different directions as they dodged the sphere that hit the spot where they had been and shattered the ground, leaving a hole. Omnimon was the first to attack, summoning his Grey Sword from his WarGreymon arm as he swung his arm at Blue Diamond who raised her arm, gathering her azure aura around it. Omnimon's sword bounced off the aura and Blue Diamond lashed out with her other hand to grab him.

Fortunately his reaction time was enough that he swung his blade again, colliding with Blue Diamond's hand. "TRANSCENDENT SWORD!"

An arc of blue energy emerged from his sword, colliding with Blue Diamond's hand, resulting in a shockwave that knocked both back.

"GAH!" Blue Diamond cried out, grasping her hand and saw that it had become mostly coal black that only served to highlight the burning sensation she felt.

Omnimon slammed into the ground but pushed himself up a second later, stopping to watch as Blue Diamond cried out. The giant matriarch gritted her teeth as her aura surrounded her again, narrowing her eyes at the Royal Knight.

"This can end right now. Release the Elementals and you will not be harmed any further." Omnimon said, wishing to end the fight.

"You are right about one thing…It ends now!" Blue Diamond brought her scorched hand to her gemstone and in a flash of light, pulled out her personal weapon Rainfall.

Omnimon readied himself as Blue Diamond fell into a battle stance, holding her scythe behind her in one hand while pointing her other hand at him with an open palm. It was clear now he would have to fight and defeat her to rescue the Elementals. So with that in mind he jumped up, swinging his sword again.

"TRANSCENDENT SWORD!" He shouted as he swung his sword.

Blue Diamond swung her scythe, gathering her own power into her weapon that collided with Omnimon's attack. The collision of the attacks resulted in a shockwave of light that forced both opponents back. Blue Diamond was the first to recover and she instantly went on the attack, spinning her scythe in her one hand as she swung her scythe. Omnimon fell back, dodging Blue Diamond's scythe as she went on the full offensive, her fighting style resembling a dance as she slashed and spun in her attacks.

Omnimon's reaction time allowed him to stay ahead, dodging Blue Diamond's scythe by mere inches but it seemed to get closer with each dodge. Finally he was forced to deploy his Brave Shield, using it deflect Blue Diamond's scythe long enough for him to jump back.

"GARURU CANNON!" From his MetalGarurumon head-hand came an energy blast yellow in color.

Blue Diamond held her scythe in front of her and twirled it in her hand, channeling her power into it and spinning it fast enough to create a shield that blocked the blast. Once the attack was gone Blue Diamond used her free hand to conjure several orbs of light that came together into a single large one, firing bolts of blue light at Omnimon who activated his Brave Shield as they fell on him like rain. The entire attack demolished the Room of a Thousand Fountains but Blue Diamond had little to no time at all to care as she continued her assault.

"Whoa!" Wally marveled, watching the battle between the two and was ready to jump in. "Time to get in on the action!"

But before he could Cree grabbed him by his orange hood. "Hold it!"

"What?!" Wally exclaimed.

"Have you forgotten why we're here? We need to find the Elementals!" Cree barked, pulling Wally back. "He's distracting her so let's go!"

Wally growled but knew Cree was right. So he just pulled his hood back and shoved past her. He hated leaving Omnimon alone to fight but he came here to save his friends and that's what he would do. In the meantime the energy attacks as ceased and Blue Diamond continued chasing Omnimon as he led her out of the Room of a Thousand Fountains, coming into a large blue arena of some sort.

Believing he had led her far enough from the others Omnimon spun around to face Blue Diamond as she entered, swinging her scythe at him again. He stood his ground, blocking with his sword but grunted as his feet slid a few inches back. Both were now straining to overpower each other now, Omnimon's digital nature against Blue Diamond's own Diamond based strength.

They were almost completely even.

Realizing that, Omnimon broke the lock and jumped back. He had already locked his Semblance into its Brave Shield form so he couldn't switch to anything else and even if he did it wouldn't matter. Blue Diamond wasn't a Fallen so his Danger Sense wouldn't be of any help. She might wield a different version of Aura but hadn't used anything resembling a Semblance so his Ability Breaker wouldn't cut it.

And his Data Recovery only worked when he was injured so it couldn't contribute anything to this fight either.

So that left him with his Brave Shield that already protected him earlier in this fight. Just as he finished his quick contemplation Blue Diamond was upon him again. Omnimon quickly but also barely dodged and then charged forward, hoping to get in close enough that Blue Diamond couldn't him. However Blue Diamond seemed to understand his plan as she spun, dodged and even retreated before attacking again.

They seemingly danced across the arena, Omnimon jumping and running as he slashed, deflected and ducked in between Blue Diamond's attacks while the Gem matriarch herself twirled as she spun her scythe in her hands while channeling her aura into it, sweeping out to hit her target and easily catching his slashes through deflecting with her weapon or conjuring an energy shield but her enemy managed to get in a few cuts on her robe. Omnimon realized he couldn't keep this up forever. He wasn't sure just how his stamina compared to Blue Diamond's but it was always a precaution to never underestimate your enemy and he had no intention of doing that here with so much on the line.

He jumped and then lunged at Blue Diamond again, swinging his blade as it gathered energy. "TRANSCENDENT SWORD!"

Blue Diamond blocked the attack, channeling her aura into her scythe but that was what Omnimon expected. He then snuck his MetalGarurumon head-hand underneath scythe, firing his Garuru Cannon. Blue Diamond let out a cry as the cannon fired of several energy bolts that hit her directly in the torso, knocking her back. Her robe was now scorch black around the stomach area and was slightly smoking.

Omnimon landed on his feet, keeping his eyes on his opponent as she staggered slightly. She looked up, now looking infuriated as her signature aura surrounded her. "I am not sure what manner of creature you truly are but the power you have is much greater even for one of the Earth's warriors. I've only faced a handful with such power from that planet such as the Elementals during the war."

Omnimon's eyes narrowed at the mention of the Elementals. So she had faced previous Elementals in the past and lived to tell about it. He wasn't sure where he stood in comparison but he remembered sensing the power surrounding Abby when she released her power back in GrimmFall Park. If what he sensed was anything to go by then it was clear if this Blue Diamond was powerful enough to face them then this battle was only getting started.

"Though it's galling to resort to this, desperate times call for desperate measures, especially when dealing with matters concerning the Earth." Blue Diamond said before she engulfed by a bright blue light.

Omnimon readied himself but was confused as the light shrunk down and when it faded it only showed Blue Diamond who was now eight feet tall instead of fifty. In addition to the change in size her robes were slightly shorter and looser at the ends while the top of her arms were more visible with black straps seen on her bare shoulders. A lighter blue diamond marking could be seen around the torso while around her waist was a blue sash attached to her robe by yellow diamond cut pieces.

"As a Diamond I am blessed with all the powers of my kind and so much more. That includes the ability to alter our forms, size and appearance included. It's not encouraged as it is considered disrespectful of our true forms to alter ourselves, especially to a Diamond who stands above the rest of Gem kind." Blue Diamond explained, testing her new form and seemed pleased. "Unfortunately during the war on Earth we found ourselves limited and were forced to make a compromise. Since our normal forms could be used against us we Diamonds learned to compress ourselves into smaller but still formidable versions of ourselves. In fact by compressing ourselves into these smaller forms we've learned that we can even become stronger and faster than in our original forms. You are strong and also agile, too agile for my true form to catch so I am forced to rely on this form for now."

So she was changing the battle to try and gain an advantage. She was right though as Omnimon was able to use his smaller size, agility and reaction time to stay ahead in the fight. Now with Blue Diamond being roughly the same size she was much less exploitable now.

"As a token of my respect for forcing me into this," Blue Diamond raised her scythe as the crystalline blue colored blade started to glow. "I will demonstrate the powers I had to train and master through the constant conflict with the Elementals and the rest of Earth's warriors."

With that said Blue Diamond rushed forward, moving at alarming speed that Omnimon almost had no time to react. Acting on instinct he activated his Brave Shield but still felt wary from the glowing blade as Blue Diamond leapt up and fell towards him, raising her scythe above her head.

"SKYSPLITTER!" Blue Diamond yelled, swinging her scythe down onto the Brave Shield.

The gathered energy in the blade came into contact with the Brave Shield and then…

BOOM!

Xxx

Nearly everyone on Homeworld stopped moving due to the massive shaking that came from Blue Diamond's palace. Anyone nearby was greeted to the astonishing shock of a blast of light that cut through the walls, leaving a large gash in the side of the palace.

Xxx

The shaking was enough to temporarily distracted Krunk, Valhallen and even Yellow Diamond in the midst of their fight, taking a chance to look at where the source of the vibrations had come from.

A small smirk appeared on Yellow Diamond's face. "Well, well, well. It seems this little invasion was enough to stir you, Blue."

Xxx

"My dear Moonlight, how rough you can be at times." White Diamond opened her eyes, allowing an amused smile to grace her lips. "It's been so long since you played with anything, especially life forms of the lower variety."

Xxx

"WAH!" Wally stumbled and fell onto his butt. "What was that?!"

Cree looked back, her senses telling her that the source of the vibrations came from where Omnimon was fighting.

'Either he's winning or he was just killed. Either way we're running out of time.' Cree thought before haling Wally to his feet. "Come on!"

Xxx

"Bouncy! Bouncy! Bouncy!" Ed laughed, the sudden shaking causing him to stumble all around the pool until eventually he fell into the water and was helped out by Slime Pearl.

"What was that?" Nigel wondered, getting up once the shaking was over.

"My Diamond…" Blue Pearl said softly, a small smile appearing on her lips. "My Diamond has unleashed her full wrath on the enemy."

Nigel and Abby glanced at each other, realizing what it had meant. They had been present when Yellow Diamond had partially destroyed her own training room without even trying. Now it sounded and felt like Blue Diamond had done something similar, reminding them all the more danger they were in if they could not escape.

Xxx

The blue colored arena had been wrecked beyond the point of recognition. Blue Diamond's attack had been powerful enough it cut through a dozen floors, walls and even through the ceiling. Rubble had fallen from above, wrecking what was left of the arena, kicking up dust everywhere.

And through the dust Blue Diamond emerged stoically, the mascara under her eyes the only evidence of her tears.

She slowly strolled through the debris field, looking around to see if her opponent was dead or alive. A grunting noise told her he was alive and she watched as a large piece of rubble was pushed aside, revealing a battered but still alive Omnimon. The Royal Knight's armor was dirty and damaged from the falling debris but that was nothing compared to the deep gash on his side that reached down to his leg. His reaction time had allowed him to move just as the Brave Shield had collapsed but even then the attack had managed to reach him.

The only reason he was not cut in half because his reaction time allowed him to stay ahead by a split second.

'My Aura reinforced my Brave Shield and even then it wasn't enough to slow it down.' Omnimon grunted, noting the deep gash in his side that traveled down to his leg. 'If I had been just a bit slower I would have lost an arm and a leg!'

"You're alive."

Looking up, Omnimon watched as Blue Diamond strolled towards him, stopping just several feet away.

'This is bad, very bad. If she tries that attack again, I'm dead.' Omnimon grunted as he struggled to get, shifting weight onto his uninjured leg as he looked at Blue Diamond. 'Damn. I thought I could distract her long enough for the others to find the Elementals. Instead she turned the tables on me.'

"What was it you said before? This can end right now." Blue Diamond said, parodying Omnimon's previous words. "Surrender now and you'll be allowed to recover and live as a prisoner."

"Sorry, but I can't surrender." Omnimon retorted, summoning his sword.

"Very well." Blue Diamond raised her scythe. "As a sign of respect for lasting this long against a Diamond I will make it quick."

'I have enough for one final attack. If I can make it count I can at least keep her distracted a little longer.' Omnimon raised his MetalGarurumon head/hand. 'Even there is no guarantee it will hit her I have to try.'

Just as Blue Diamond rushed forward a voice called out. "Dark Lance!"

Stopping and turning to the source of the voice Blue Diamond only saw eight lances shooting straight at her. Hastily spinning her scythe in her hand, Blue Diamond easily blocked the lances but left herself open as Omnimon aimed and fired.

"SUPREME CANNON!" From his MetalGarurumon mouth came a blast of ice blue energy, shooting directly at Blue Diamond who spun her scythe to block like before.

However when the attack made contact her scythe she was greeted with the shock of ice spreading along her weapon and then her arms, continuing down her entire body until she was completely frozen. Omnimon lowered his arm, seeing Blue Diamond had been frozen by the blast but that attack had taken almost everything he had.

"Hang on!" A voice called out.

Just as he fell forward two pairs of arms caught him, helping him stand up.

"That was a close call for everyone." One voice said as Omni's vision started to blur.

"We can't look for the Elementals while looking after this guy at the same time." Another voice replied.

"We can't leave him here either. We'll have to take him with us. Besides I think is the Grimm Slayer…"

Omnimon blacked before he could hear the rest of the sentence.

"Move the Elementals to the Special Zone. We are about to have company." Blue Pearl spoke suddenly.

The Pearls complied and before any of the Elementals could react they were whisked away in bubbles. As soon as they were gone the doors to Blue Diamond's pool chamber were knocked down.

"Okay! Where are my friends?!" A loud obnoxious voice called out.

Blue Pearl waited calmly as the intruders made their way up the stairs, eventually reaching the top. Blue Pearl raised an eyebrow as she stared at the intruders, two of them being Faunus while the other was some sort of primitive drone on wheels.

These were the intruders who somehow managed to reach Homeworld?

Who caused the city wide catastrophe that caused their armies to be scattered?

That breached her glorious Diamond's palace?

"Hey! Where are my friends?!" The boy with blond hair and the tail shouted.

The robot beeped, pointing back at the doors.

"What do you mean they aren't here anymore?" The female Faunus asked. "They were just here! Your scanners said so!"

So they were tracking the Elementals. It was wise of Blue Pearl to send them away to the Special Zone before the intruders arrived. Now they couldn't abscond with the Elementals and they would be trapped between her Diamond and Homeworld's armies.

"You are trespassing on Homeworld. Surrender now your sentence will be reduced." Blue Pearl stated.

"Yeah right!" The boy pointed at her. "You kidnapped my friends and I'm here to get them back!"

"Very well. Then you will be brought in with force." Blue Pearl said, remaining calm.

"Roboto?" The girl turned to the robot that opened up its chest compartment.

Blue Pearl watched as an electrical shock blasted from the machine but she already was on the move, elegantly dodging the blast and rushed forward. Just as the robot prepared to fire again there was a flash of light and Mr. Roboto was sliced into pieces. Cree and Wally both jumped away as the robot exploded. Blue Pearl stood up, holding a scythe that resembled the one wielded by her Diamond.

That's right; a Pearl was allowed to wield a weapon.

She was the personal Pearl of Blue Diamond herself and when her Diamond made the decision to have her own weapon forged during the war on Earth she was given a weapon as well. Not only was she given a weapon but she had been trained to fight in order to protect her Diamond and it wasn't unique only to her. Yellow Diamond personally trained her own Pearl to fight as well, deciding that all Gems in her court would at least know how to defend themselves against threats like the Grimm and it was rumored that Yellow's Pearl even trained alongside her Diamond. Though Blue Diamond herself had not fought in any major battles for thousands of years Blue Pearl still maintained her training to keep her skills sharp and to protect her beloved Diamond.

"You have one chance to surrender or I will be forced to eliminate you." Blue Pearl said calmly, mirroring her Diamond's stance as she prepared to attack.

Before Wally could say anything Cree grabbed him again and ran down the stairs, suddenly moving speeds no organic should be capable of while leaving afterimages in her wake. Blue Pearl watched as they fled the pool chamber, seeing no reason to pursue them.

Homeworld's armies would be here in a matter of minutes.

"What are you doing?! Let me go! OOF!" Wally shouted before he was dropped on the floor by Cree. "What'd you do that for?! We could have taken her!"

"You really are an idiot. She would have killed the both of us without even trying." Cree said, taking a chance to catch her breath. 'She took out the prototype for Sammael's Hunter Killer program in a matter of seconds. They said Pearls were servants or fancy pieces of merchandise to look pretty for their owners. They never said they could still fight!'

This was bad.

This was very bad.

"So, how'd you do that?" Wally suddenly asked.

Cree shook her head, coming out of her thoughts. "Huh?"

"How'd you move so fast? It was like a blur to me." Wally clarified.

"…That was my Semblance. It allows me to move at high speed." Cree explained. "That's part of the reason I was picked for this mission. My Semblance will get us out of most problems before those Gems can even react."

"Super speed huh?" Wally mused.

"Nothing like Living Bullet." Cree continued. "Now come on. We need to find the others."

"But how? The robot was cut to pieces." Wally pointed out, quickly following after the older girl.

"He wasn't the only one that can track the Elementals." Cree said, bringing a finger to her ear. "Obsidian, Strika, Mr. Roboto's retired to the junkyard in the sky. We need to know where the Elementals are."

"They are in…Were last seen in the palace that given its color belongs to Pink Diamond." Obsidian answered.

"Were?" Cree questioned.

"There was an energy surge, suggesting they were in a Gem Warp Pad. They can only be used by Gems." Obsidian explained. "I cannot detect them on this planet anymore."

"They took them off planet?!" Cree exclaimed.

"It is possible. The other possibility is that they are in the Special Zone." Obsidian replied. "However the fact that the Warp Pad can only be accessed by Gems is still a problem."

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Cree sighed, lowering her finger. "It's never easy."

"So where to now?" Wally asked, not having heard a word.

"A chance of scenery. We're going from blue to pink." Cree answered.

"Pink?! Come on!" Wally exclaimed. "It couldn't have been yellow. It's not as boring as white or as yucky as pink."

"Will you come on?!" Cree grabbed Wally and took off, using her Semblance to rush out of the palace of Blue Diamond.

The race for the Elementals was on.
