Chapter 35: The Tutor, Fair Lady in Training

A week later the entire Phantomhive group, along with its newest additions, was travelling back to England to Diedrich's relief. The German man was matching Ciel in grumpiness and never missed a chance to state how he longed for his usual calm life to return after their departure, even though he provided his guests everything needed without complain. Thankfully, Wolfram proved once again he was a real warrior and a strong man, and in a week was back on his feet perfectly healthy and ready to travel.

Since Ciel and Diedrich could not be certain the German government would consider the Emerald Witch dead and the entire project a failure, thought it would be better to take every precaution possible. Therefore, Wolfram and Sieglinde travelled disguised as a brunette tall man with a moustache and his blond handicapped daughter. They were also told not to speak too much or too loudly, especially when they would cross the German borders; both child and man looked obviously uncomfortable with this but nothing else could be done.

As expected, Sieglinde forgot all of her discomfort once the train began moving. She never left the window and her eyes never stopped looking outside utterly excited, and when on board the ship taking them to England, she never left the deck. Her big round eyes got bigger and a permanent happy blush painted her pale cheeks as the sceneries were moving in and out of her sight, constantly changing; she found everything beautiful and unique – actually these two had become her favourite words during their journey. Wolfram was no less enchanted by what he saw, having also grown up in a different kind of imprisonment in training camps, but was always mindful to express everything in moderation as the adult he was. Moreover, his pride still did not allow him to show admiration in front of the British brat and the unlikable butler smirking in an identical manner all the time.

Selina was also enjoying the trip, finding Sieglinde's surprise in everything quite refreshing; she reminded her of a small baby, only a few months old, with wide open eyes trying to take in a whole new world spreading in front of it at every chance. Sebastian could sense his witch's happiness, radiating such a calming aura, and soon found he could not resist smiling every time he saw her smile in view of Sieglinde's so childish antics.

The demon could not deny he partly understood the girl's excitement; living all your life shut in a castle, caught in a tightly woven web of lies would be hard even for demons that were lonesome creatures by nature, but still needed a freedom of movement in their lives. If the young Earl shared any of his butler's thoughts or of his tutor's joyous feelings when looking at his newly acquired pawn and… friend, would remain a secret, something only he knew, hidden behind his charming but quite calculating smile.

However, when they finally reached London they all witnessed something very rare; they saw two living emeralds shining as the precious stone would, when Sieglinde opened even wider her awe filled and sparkling eyes. She and Wolfram had opened eyes and mouths in astonishment, seeing the majestic buildings of the great European metropolis; nothing like the small medieval village in the midst of a dark forest, constantly covered with a poisonous fog. Here, thousands of people were freely walking the streets talking and smiling in their elegant clothes, women mingled with men and walked hand in hand on the pavements, while carriages drawn by beautiful horses crossed the roads. The air of freedom blowing through the city was making Sieglinde feel light-headed and talk loudly in German unable to find the words in English, Wolfram did the same until a stern and serious velvety voice landed them back to reality.

"Using German here will make you stand out. Please speak English from now on." Sebastian informed them in German to be sure both understood him.

Sieglinde quickly agreed but Wolfram seemed quite panicked as he whispered to his peer. "My lady is one thing, but I can barely speak a word of it, you know?!"

"Then make do with what little English you have." Sebastian said indifferently in German, but then a dark smile appeared on his lips as he thought out loud in English. "I shall give intensive instruction upon our return to home." He slightly chuckled, making the blond butler more worried... even more so seeing the look of pity Selina gave him, clearly saying "Poor thing" after easily reading her lover's eyes.

"Now, then." The young Earl said straightening his hat in an effort to pretend to be cool, trying to ignore the light blush on his cheeks when staring at the overenthusiastic Sieglinde, still pointing like a child to everything she saw and exclaiming with wonder only this time in English. "I am sure Her Majesty cannot wait to meet Sullivan, so I mean to present her to the Queen in one week."

"One week? Is that not perhaps a bit too soon?" Sebastian asked, genuine concern and doubt visible on his face.

"Surely, you, of all people, can whip her into shape? The methods you use are entirely up to you." Now he turned and looked at his butler with a complete authoritarian cold stare. "I command you, Sebastian. Turn that artless urchin into a lady within a week!"

That was all the demon butler needed to hear, he graced his master with one of his most charming and innocent smiles, as with one hand on heart accepted the order. Selina sighed and shook her head full of understanding and pity for his new victims.

"Do you have any objection, Miss Selina?" Ciel asked her with a look showing he actually did not care if she had, but asked her just for pretences.

"I do, many, my lord but… I know it would be useless to try changing your mind. I know first-hand that kind of training must be harsh to be successful. As for the tutor…" She glanced at the smiling demon beside her – looking quite happy at the prospect of torm- teaching their German friends. "Well, let's say there are others like him in many shapes and colours…"

Ciel nodded satisfied with his servants' obedience and turned his back. Sebastian gave order to the rest of the servants to take their luggage to the town-house and as they departed he clapped his hands satisfied.

"Right. First, the dress." He said and led the small group to Miss' Nina Hopkins boutique, the personal tailor of the Earl Phantomhive.

Once they entered, were welcomed by her two assistants-models posing, dressed in what would be considered provocative for the era, since the two women wore flimsy dresses or tight trousers revealing every contour of their shapely bodies and corset-like vests that emphasized their breasts. Sieglinde never stopped looking around at the various pictures of numerous clothes she never even dreamt of existing. Selina looked at the models appreciating and applauded them, genuinely impressed by the quite brash but undeniably talented tailor.

"Of course, we must have the crazy posing…" Ciel mumbled, obviously bored by the really far-fetched twisting and turning of the two women showing off their clothes.

Sebastian, as the Earl's official spokesperson, went on to explain what they needed for the young lady, but was cut off by the loud and shrill voice of the tailor, who stormed in holding bolts of fabric, measuring tapes wrapped around her neck, a bracelet with pins and needles on and a crazy look in her shinning eyes.

"I sense the presence of a beautiful boy! Meg! Augusta! Who is it?!" She cried out like a battle cry.

"Impressive as ever, Miss Hopkins." Sebastian murmured in a wooden voice.

"My! Oh my, my, Earl! It has been quite a while! How unusual to have you come to the shop!" The woman squealed reaching the boy after zigzagging to ostentatiously avoid the two men in the room.

"As usual, you ignore me with such gusto that it is almost refreshing." Sebastian said and lightly laughed in a supposed amused manner, but Selina's ears clearly caught irritation lacing his voice. He did not see her looking at him with arched eyebrows and a not so friendly look in her narrowed eyes.

Wolfram and Sieglinde's mouths gaped, watching the overenthusiastic woman freezing in place and then, as if an invisible antenna on her head gave her a signal, turned to the girl and examined from head to toe, instantly enamoured with the petite form of the young lady as she enquired about her.

"A guest who has come into our care for various reasons. She is without wardrobe right now, so I would like you to make her several outfits. Feel free to use whatever you have in hand." Ciel informed her.

"I see. Yes, this dress is not made of summer fabric. And…" Nina went on circling around Sieglinde, examining the dress Sebastian had made. "The quality of the fabric aside, this colour is far too plain! It is like this garb reeks of the outdated notion held dear by men, that women must be the picture of chastity!" She went on, obviously displeased with what she saw.

Selina had not taken her eyes from the butler, looking really irritated by the judgmental seamstress, her words stabbing and making him paler. "We were in rather a pinch, so…" He managed to mumble at some point and only then Nina seemed to pay some attention to him.

Sebastian immediately regained his composure, informed her about the situation, and asked if she could also do something for lady's Sullivan presence before the Queen in a week. Nina looked at him with obvious dislike and stated with confidence that of course she could do it. She started mumbling to herself and looked like a machine getting loaded on fuel ready to burst to action; and that exactly happened when she roared she had it, her imagination was bubbling and then went on a rant about silk, lace, satin, embroidered veils and emerald accessories.

"Come, my lady! This way!" She suddenly announced and started pulling the poor girl to climb some spiral staircase. Sieglinde's tiny feet could not follow and would be hurt if Selina did not jump in and lift her taking her upstairs to Nina's studio. "Meg and Augusta take measurements of the other one." Nina ordered before rudely shutting the door in Selina's face while stating she needed no distractions.

"She really is so…" Sebastian said in his flat voice with a mix of indifference and annoyance in his features.

"Constant, is she not?" Ciel finished feeling his energy drained by Nina.

Behind them, Wolfram was absolutely terrified, being ruthlessly attacked by the assistants that started pulling and pushing, while measuring his gigantic body.

During the one and half hour Nina needed to take Sieglinde's measurements and discuss the designs she liked, the men were getting bored downstairs, since the entertainment of a horrified Wolfram in the hands of Nina's assistants was quite short. Ciel and Sebastian had watched the struggles of the embarrassed man to keep his clothes on his body, but the bold assistants insisted to remove most of them; therefore, he was now straightening them, wheezing still shocked.

All the while, Selina was wandering in the shop, admiring the various designs that indeed were unique and quite endearing for the era. She could not help but picture some of the menswear worn by a certain demon and how perfectly would fit him after some height adjustments; her cheeks started getting quite colourful and when felt the said demon's eyes on her, directed her attention to women's garments.

At some point, she was drawn to a complete set, where the top was a shirt and a vest with an extra layer on the inside surprisingly made by a kind of early lastex fabric, obviously not so tight as the traditional corset, but produced the same effect on the woman's body and seemed to adequately support the bosom. Selina got more excited seeing that if the skirt was folded in a specific way, became a pair of very nice bell-bottom trousers. However, in view of a price pinned on the clothe, she started fanning herself with her hand and wondering, for real, how rich had Ciel become within three years, so that freely spending money in Nina's quite expensive designs.

She tried to distance herself from that magnificent garment, and pay attention to Sebastian's musings about the formal appearance lady Sullivan should have in front of the Queen - like how her already long hair would facilitate the situation - but her eyes were constantly drawn back to it. It was such a beautiful and practical clothing for her in this era, that she finally started calculating the money the Reapers still owed her for the various demon slays she had executed for them.

"It's the orgy too, it was overtime…" She mumbled standing beside Sebastian, but then gasped as she remembered something. "Oh no, the money are not mine-"

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Sieglinde's gentle voice pulled them out of their thoughts, as she carefully climbed down the stairs with her new dress on.

A pretty blue green summer dress, like the sea under the rays of sun, reaching a little higher from her ankle and leaving her tiny bound feet exposed, having a necessary amount of frills without overdoing it and a white apron over all this made her look like a totally different person. The blue green bows on her hair… her newly cut hair in a bob style, highlighting her small face and big bright eyes, completed the image of a cute girl at the doorstep of puberty.

It was exactly that new hairstyle that utterly shocked the men in the room. Selina was too busy admiring, with sparkling eyes, the piece of art Sieglinde had turned into and did not see Sebastian getting a heart attack – if a demon could get one – as he turned even paler and his eyes almost fell out of their sockets.

"My lady? What have you done to your hair?" Wolfram managed to cry quite shocked and heartbroken, as he saw the little girl that used to play by pulling his sideburns disappearing and truly turning into a young lady.

"I shall not have ladies-in-waiting from now on! So I am making a fresh start!" She said smiling and waving her hands like it was nothing of great importance. A light blush of embarrassment painted her cheeks making her even cuter. "Well? Do I look good?" She finally asked.

Suddenly, Selina dashed and kneeled in front of her, taking her small hands in hers. "You are absolutely gorgeous, my lady! So cute and lady-like! Aw, I really want to hug you, my lady!" She had the excited look Lizzie had when looking something she considered cute. She did hug Sieglinde careful not to wrinkle the new pristine clothes and the girl responded with a warm and happy giggle.

"Yes, you look wood…" Wolfram finally said with a dazed look and an embarrassed blush on his face.

"I think you mean 'good'." Ciel corrected him having a similar expression.

"Argh!… So much for formal style…" Sebastian cried quite desperate holding his head to prevent the stroke he felt coming.

"This is the Alice style that is currently in vogue with young girls! Women should be allowed to wear any hairstyle they fancy too!" Nina announced with an aura of pride for her creation flowing freely in the atmosphere. Selina nodded agreeing completely.

"I believe I repeatedly stressed the importance of putting formality before fashion…" Sebastian actually growled at Nina, glaring like he would murder her on the spot.

"Oh? Mister Hard-head, you are still here?" She responded ironically also glaring him, obviously disregarding him and ignoring the black aura around him.

"Ugh…" Sebastian sighed, finally admitting defeat. "There is nothing to be done. Let us return to the town house for now."

Wolfram picked up Lady Sullivan and everyone got ready to leave. When they reached the door, they noticed Selina had stayed behind discussing with Nina the price of the set that had enchanted her. Selina was asking if she could get a discount if she ordered two more in different colours.

"Oh dear, I knew from the start you are my soul mate! You are so open-minded!" Nina was in seventh heaven as she clutched Selina's hands. "I could give them all in the price of one if you become my model; you have such an exceptional figure and that perfect bust, not too small not too big, full and round… I most certainly must highlight it in my new collection!"

"A model? I'll become that too if I have to... I must have that garment!" Selina said with a fake smile.

She did not notice Nina's hands ready to land on her breasts, but suddenly felt a strong hand grabbing her arm and pulling her back. Next thing she knew, Sebastian was standing right in front of her and Nina's groping hands found his flat torso. Surprise and disgust appeared on the seamstress' face opening her eyes and realizing what exactly she was groping. Needless to say, she removed them immediately.

"Please, Miss Hopkins; include the desired number of pieces of this garment in the colours Miss Clark wants in the Phantomhive's household bill and in their assigned price. If Miss Clark does not have the ability to pay, I shall, do not worry yourself." A determined and obviously irritated Sebastian announced, ignoring Selina's protests, that she is a totally independent woman and would find the money to pay for herself, and then started pulling her with him towards the shop's door.

"A deep blue one, light grey and black please… and the one there." Selina called to Nina and pointed at the chocolate brown prototype, struggling to stop the demon marching to the exit.

"Black? It is too conservative." Nina said with a disappointed grimace.

"It's a classic and will never stop being in fashion… umph…" Selina found herself almost thrown over the butler's shoulder, as the demon wrapped an arm around her waist and lifted her in the air. "It matches with all colors and styles and considered sexy on its own. A black dress will become a must for every woman in the future." Selina kept talking to Nina until Sebastian exited the shop.

"Oh! We hope you look forward to the dresses!" Nina and her models waved, as the shop's door was finally closing behind Sebastian and Selina.

He kept holding her for a few meters and then let her stand again on her own, while their master was mumbling "if it is ever possible", his eyebrow twitching in annoyance. When Sebastian released Selina, she threw a quite hostile and irritated look at him, her face red. They kept a staring contest for a while – Sebastian had collected himself but his eyes still flashed a little redder than usual – until Ciel was forced to call them back to order, commanding Sebastian to stop terrorizing his servants in paying for everything, like he did to the trio. He announced it was his duty of course to pay for his servants' new clothing, he too ignoring Selina's objections.

"Ciel! Is it true you went on a trip to Germany?! Why did you not invite me to go with you?!" Prince Soma cried quite angry with the young Earl as soon as he entered his town house. "You have also brought home a new concubine, I see. I have underestimated you… She is a different type from Lizzie." He finished, his eyes examining Lady Sullivan from head to toe.

Sieglinde looked at a totally embarrassed Ciel and her face got quite impish, like she had finally discovered the true lewd reasons for Ciel's actions and insistence to bring her in England.

"A concubine… Oh, so that was what you were after… So, what number am I?" She whispered in a conspiratorial manner.

"You have it wrong!" Ciel almost screamed, pale and freaked out… until he saw both Soma and Sieglinde chuckling, enjoying their spontaneous mutual teasing to the all serious boy. He then glared at them in a not so friendly manner.

Soma, as the manager and caretaker of the town house, appointed by Ciel himself, accepted the Earl's guest as his own and then ordered Agni to prepare a feast for dinner; the Indian butler was happy to follow his master's orders. Sebastian came in a minute and led his master and his friends to the living room, where afternoon tea along with various really mouth-watering sweets and snacks awaited them.

Young Sieglinde was really enchanted by how delicious everything looked, she could not hold back anymore and took the liberty to add sugar cubes in her tea and some cakes to taste with her own hands… and then her nightmare began.

"Stop right there." Sebastian's dark and stern voice was heard, the same moment that a horsewhip - a tool often used by tutors at that era, but Selina absolutely despised - landed harshly enough to sting the soft back of Sieglinde's hand. "My lady. Your lesson in preparation for attending the Queen's tea party has already begun." He announced and when everyone looked at him saw 'professor Michaelis' in full mode.

A dark oppressive aura emanating, an over polite sadistic smile, glasses and the characteristic strand of hair tucked behind his ear completed the image, as he went on dismissing as inappropriate and unladylike practically everything Sieglinde did. She should not use words like 'yummy' and such because they were vulgar, she should not take sugar with her bare hands and never, never reach out for a cake before it was offered to her. He then announced that within a week, she would receive all the lessons needed to become a proper lady, worthy of appearing in front of Her Majesty and he immediately confiscated the cakes she had already taken in her plate.

Ciel calmly went on with his tea, ignoring Sieglinde's drama unfolding next to him and Prince Soma trembling, obviously scared of Sebastian's cruel side he too had get to know in a not so distant past. The boy knew that although Sebastian could be indeed very cruel he was right, at the same time; he always had a reason to be the bad one and his reason was right. Nevertheless, he was actually scared of him at the moment and could not believe how calm Ciel and Miss Selina were.

"Ciel! Please, say something!" The teary eyed girl begged her friend, the same time the said evil butler was straightening his clothes, after having been attacked by Wolfram.

The blond butler had rushed to defend his lady, but was evaded by being forced to express his objections in English. Needless to say, Sebastian was smiling all the while enjoying the situation.

"Yes, Ciel! Your man is too scary! Do you not feel sorry for her?!" Prince Soma said totally sympathizing with the young lady.

"If I spoil you like that, you will never improve. Just do the best you can." He said indifferently and went on with his cake right in front of a crying Sieglinde.

"Miss Selina, can you not do something to stop him?" Prince Soma said to the blond woman serving him tea at the moment. Sieglinde looked at her pleadingly.

"I am terribly sorry, Your Highness, my lady, but I cannot do anything as much as I want to. I do realize his methods are very cruel... but very effective and this kind of training is necessary in this kind of situation… Please trust me on that!" She said with eyes shadowed by a terrible flash back.

"Has he taught you something too?!" The sixteen year old boy asked amazed.

"No, but believe me when I say that the colour of eyes and soul have little to do in teaching." Selina said calmly but with slight exhaustion in her voice.

Soma did not understand to what she was referring, but remained silent for the rest of the tea… and dinner, where Sieglinde's torment continued at every step; he was left with no ally willing to support the poor girl and would be quite powerless on his own.

{~}

Later that night Sebastian was sitting at his desk in his room, writing down the expenses in the Phantomhive household accounting book, including the new dresses for Lady Sullivan, Wolfram's clothes and Selina's strange garments. The door knocked and when he answered, Selina entered silently and stood there waiting for him to finish his work.

When he closed the book and lifted his eyes to her, stayed motionless for a while taking in the image of his beautiful witch stoically waiting. Under the light of the lamp, her golden curls were gleaming, freely hugging her shoulders, and her cute sun kissed face seemed brighter as the light was becoming one with the blue sparkle of her eyes. He sighed satisfied for having such a beauty in his arms so often, and would have again in a few moments.

"How may I help you, my dear?" He asked with a so charming smile that the woman seemed to lose her composure for a second.

"Actually, I cannot sleep yet… I guess I got overexcited after such a long day with so many things happening… like meeting Miss Hopkins after such a long time." She said quite casually but her eyes were not leaving Sebastian's face.

"Oh, I did not realise you were so happy to see her again, I would bet you were quite indifferent towards her." He answered in the same manner.

"Well… other than her designs that are really innovative for this era and her being funny sometimes, she is not so special for me; I have met many women like her in my time. To someone else though, she might seem more interesting, right?" She shrugged her shoulders twirling around and getting to the other side of the room, closer to bed.

"Hmm… I think she somehow scares our master with her boldness and loudness. As for Wolfram and Lady Sullivan… they sure were quite shocked, since it was their first time meeting something like that." Sebastian followed her movement, shifting in his chair.

"True… How about you? What do you think of her?" The fire in her eyes was getting livelier and that immediately started exciting Sebastian.

"I think she is quite an annoying and disagreeable human, whom I would be happy not to see again, if not kill her."

"Really?! And I thought you really liked her, something about her." Selina said supposedly surprised but did not hide the irony in her voice.

"Me?! Like her?! How did you come to such a conclusion?!" He exclaimed with wide eyes, as he got up from his desk and took a step towards her, biting one finger of his gloves and removing them really slowly.

"Well… it seemed it was really important for you to have her acknowledge your presence in the shop. You said she ignored you with "such gusto" and really bothered you. Perhaps all this bickering between you is actually hiding something else." Now it was obvious she was making fun of him.

Sebastian chuckled and his eyes turned to two slit red orbs. "Selina, dear… are you jealous and afraid you might lose me to Miss Hopkins?"

"Jealous and afraid?! Me?!" It was her turn to chuckle. "I bet you were the jealous one, especially when she proposed the model thing… You rushed in and felt the need to prove how 'macho man' you can be, by stating you would pay for what 'your woman' wanted…" She said retreating to the wall next to his bed as he was advancing quite predatory. Her eyes sparkling with mirth; they were playing a game and she obviously enjoyed it.

"Well… what was that you said got affected when Lady Sullivan asked for my genes? My male pride, was it not? I guess that same thing makes me annoyed when that woman ignores me on purpose." Sebastian explained with a look of helplessness.

Selina reached out and teasingly stroked his cheek with a fake sympathetic look in her eyes. "Poor baby. Doesn't like to be ignored, he's used to have all the female attention." She almost purred mockingly.

Now Sebastian was really close and his eyes were burning fires as he nodded in agreement. "As for the other part… yes, I am more than willing to pay for my woman, especially when I have to protect her… delicious bust from the lecherous wandering hands of a woman, who would only bother and hurt it." He said and as he spoke his hands had travelled up Selina's body, his fingers brushing against the said bust.

Selina gasped at the sensation and was soon panting under his seductive caresses and the eyes that had already undressed her.

"These beautiful breasts fit perfectly only in my hands and my hands are the only ones that will touch and caress them." He announced as he cupped them slowly and lightly like the touch of a feather.

"Pretty possessive, aren't we?" Selina said and when Sebastian looked at her with his usual overconfident and arrogant way, she could not help but giggle and stick her tongue out teasing him.

Sebastian's mouth descended so fast on hers she did not have time to react, and her tongue was found trapped between his lips that instantly started sucking on it, forcing her to open her mouth for air and therefore giving him access to deepen the kiss with no further delay. Both their tongues began their usual dance with such fervour that Selina felt her legs giving out under her, but the demon's quick arms supported her. Selina's arms hugged him and her fingers sought his silky raven locks.

After a while, he allowed her to take a breath as he admired his work on making her face flushed and her lips red from his kiss. "I apologise, but I could not help myself any longer. All through our trip to Germany, you constantly present me with that tongue of yours and all I want is to devour it along with these honeyed lips that go with it." He said but obviously was not sorry at all as his finger kept tracing them.

"Devour it so that I won't be able to speak and say things you don't like... being interested in Miss Hopkins for example?" Selina said and then started lightly biting and licking his thump dangerously close to her teeth, while staring at him provocatively.

Sebastian laughed obviously amused by that. "Oh, my little, jealous kitten, I enjoy teasing you so much. I had begun fearing you were losing your interest in me, when you ignored the fact I kissed Professor Sullivan while poisoning her." He had his supposed hurt look in his red eyes hooded by long black lashes.

"Eeww!" Selina cried with a grimace of disgust. "I would have serious damage in my brain if I got jealous of a deformed, insane woman who was kissed to her death, a poisonous one, none the less. I might love your lips, how they feel and taste, and I might want them all for myself, but that would be extremely sick even for me."

"Oh? So you are not jealous of that, but you are of Beast, a dead woman I used for a certain purpose, and of Miss Hopkins, a totally irritating and indifferent human." He was so enjoying the deeper blush on her cheeks.

"Well… it's not that they were, or are, not beautiful women… I mean, Beast was well endowed and her rear was very well shaped, Miss Hopkins is similar…"

"But I could not care less, because none of them is you." He breathed on her lips right before he captured them in a searing kiss.

Soon, Selina sighed giving in to him and the demon once again satisfied with himself, guided her to his bed without stopping exploring her already known to him mouth. A light chuckle was heard from both once they landed a little clumsily on the mattress.

For the next few hours, Sebastian used his body to 'cast a spell' on Selina, meant to erase doubts about her feminine hold over the male demon. His heavy, hot breath and husky cries of pleasure and passion escaping his throat, along with his face and drunken burning eyes were enough proof for the human witch. Indeed, she was the first and only choice for her demon lover, no matter how beautiful other human women could be, and even if he himself did not know the actual reason for being attracted to her and her grey witchy nature.

{~}

"A penny for your thoughts?" Selina asked, wrapped in his shirt and snuggling close to his warm naked body under the bed covers. She sighed and smiled contently to him when he met her eyes.

His single bed was quite narrow for both of them; therefore, Sebastian was lying on his side propped up by leaning his head on his upturned palm. Selina was on her back looking up to Sebastian's face over her.

"Oh, it's nothing important…" He answered as her fingers were lightly tracing the lines of his chest muscles making him smile, really enjoying when she did that. He started doing the same at the lines of her cleavage peeking out from his shirt; he loved how it tickled her.

However, Selina did not want to be distracted and gently pushed away his wandering fingers. "It might be important to me, you never know."

They kept staring at each other for a while until he sighed surrendering. "All right, all right. While we were in Miss Hopkins' shop, before you got infatuated with that set of yours, you kept staring at the clothes and especially at men's suits. Am I right to assume that your wild fantasy was dressing me in these clothes?" He arched an eyebrow watching Selina turning red.

"Well… it was kind of beyond me, I couldn't resist! You are the only man I know that looks really hot even when dressed, whatever you wear; the clothes were so well made and some of them would really fit your style." She smiled, really excited by the mental image.

Sebastian chuckled amused. "They would fit the style this temporary body has, you mean." Selina nodded hesitantly. "And how was it? Unique or familiar? Perhaps picturing me in these clothes reminded you of someone else… someone from your past that you like and feel attracted to… the person who taught you our era's manners and etiquette, maybe." He kept staring at her face expecting an answer.

Selina remained silent for a while, returning the stare while trying to remember which suit in the shop could make him look like her tutor. In a minute, a light sparkled in her eyes and then suddenly started laughing so hard that her whole body was shaking. It is of note to say, Sebastian was taken by surprise by her reaction, creased his eyebrows and pursed his lips; perhaps even a light red colour painted his pale cheeks, as he was not quite sure why the woman was obviously making fun of him in some way.

After a while, Selina seemed to compose herself as she wiped tears from her eyes. "Oh goodness, that was really good! Oh my, Sebastian, we are so alike in some ways." She said confusing the demon even more. "I got jealous of a dead woman and a live one, obviously not interested in you in the least, and you got jealous of Grell and Mr. Spears, who would never even care if I am alive or dead, each for their own reasons. Honestly, how did you come with that idea?" She giggled.

"Well... honestly, I expected Knox to be your tutor, but concerning how obnoxiously stern Spears is... it does make sense. But despite that, feeling attraction for someone does not mean the person would respond, for example Mey-Rin and I. Also, I never said I got jealous." Sebastian said undeterred.

"You don't have to say it, trust me. You are jealous of how I admire Agni and his talents, you are jealous of Bard and how close we are and you got jealous of Claus and his compliments! And yes you are right, attraction does not need to be mutual but thankfully, I am not the type of woman dwelling on men uninterested in me. I might admire them from afar for a while but that's all. And please, don't forget that Mr. Spears has no sense of humor, is too formal, too strict and, as you said, obnoxiously stern for me; not my type."

"Is that what you meant during tea, when you said the colour of eyes and soul have little to do when it comes to training like Lady Sullivan's? That I, as a tutor, remind you of him?" The woman nodded and the demon remained silent for a few moments, thinking that comparing his techniques to those of the specific reaper was not his highlight; however, after a while he looked at her smiling face once again. "So… Agni is not your type, that reaper Knox is not your type, Claus is not and Spears is not… then what type of man do you like?"

Now he was smirking arrogantly, shamelessly showing he already knew the answer but wanted to hear it, as he leaned closer to Selina's face. For a while, she kept staring at his eyes quite seriously.

"That again? Why do you care, since I am here with you?"

Sebastian shrugged. "Curiosity?" His smirk widened.

She stared at him for a little longer and then giggled teasingly and, squeezing her body on his, wrapped her arms around his neck. "Do you really need to ask? I am a fool for dark, mysterious butlers with eyes of fire and lips of the most intoxicating wine." She lifted her head a little, it was her turn to capture his lips in a dizzying kiss.

"Does that mean you are attracted to me only because of the style and appearance of my current form?" He asked when their lips were separated for the sake of breath.

"Hmm… It's not like you have shown me or our master your truly true form so that I would be in a position to answer for sure, but I don't think that is the case. You said you can be anything and anyone and while making the deal with master you presented him with all kinds of images… you even made a table and two chairs out of your… body. So how can I know which one was the real you? But I really liked the stiletto boots! I got so jealous when I saw them… if I were to wear such a thing I would end up with both legs in plaster." She looked at him with wide awe filled eyes.

Sebastian laughed. "I have not shown you my true form, but you already know so much about me, while I know only bits and pieces about you. As expected of my little powerful witch." He said as he gently caressed her chin.

Selina agreed at the first part. "It has nothing to do with my powers, though. Do you know what a memory orb is? That little black, magic sphere where people's pieces of cinematic record can be stored and shown to others after the human's death?"

"Yes, it is said they are used to store… our memories of before waking up as demons." He said with obvious denial of the fact that perhaps once, centuries ago, he could have existed as a human.

Selina chose to ignore his grimace. "The reapers gave me one before I was sent here, and it had most of our master's memories and some of other people you encountered while in contract. I watched them to gain a full knowledge of your situation and contract."

Sebastian nodded. "Interesting, that explains how you know things that occurred when young master was not present." Finally understanding how she knew all the details about Beast, but not that Grell was chasing him. "But, how am I going to learn about you? Memory orb cannot work since you are alive."

Selina nodded. "True. The only thing I can do is talk to you and young master about my life - something I intended to do either way at some point - and show you photos that at least will show the people I'll be talking about." She shrugged.

"Hoh, I will be honoured to learn the entire puzzle that composes this unique creature in my arms." He pulled her deeper in his embrace and his body started covering hers.

Selina blushed deeply embarrassed from his compliments; she would never get used to it, since she could never tell for sure if he meant all these beautiful words or not. "Flatterer! If I tell you my everything will you show me yours?" She challenged him.

"Meaning?"

"Let's start with your true demonic form and... will see for anything else in time. Agreed?" She graced him with a so wide and bright smile that the demon felt his heart jumping in his chest and his body unable to resist.

"Agreed." He murmured before started kissing her like he had not touched her lips at all the past hours.

Their bodies melted together once again, and the red haze of their passion enveloped them in its embrace, until they both collapsed exhausted on the bed and soon drifted in the luxury of sleeping in each other's warm arms.

{~}

"Good gracious! What is that hellish contraption?" That was what Selina yelled seeing Wolfram's and Sieglinde's mouths held wide open by a metallic device, that reminded her of primitive dentistry practices. Both man and child were producing inarticulate cries while looking at a hand mirror.

"That, my dear, is how our friends will learn to have a proper British accent." A very energetic and smiley Sebastian responded. He was so sadistically happy that strangely enough he looked rather cute; thankfully, Selina managed to remain unaffected by that and glared at him not so friendly or lovingly.

"And you will achieve that by irreparably stretching their mouths and dislocating their jaws? Giving them marbles to roll around with their tongues and not swallow them when repeating 'The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain' would be much more effective and less painful." She said in perfect British accent.

"Oh please, my dear, do not interfere in my work. I have less than a week to train them, so that they will be worthy of the honour the Queen does by inviting them in her tea party. I cannot possibly allow Her Majesty's ears be tormented by barbarous German abuse of the English language." He smiled again to the woman.

The blond witch was staring at the demon butler with a look that said "I know you don't give a shit about Her Majesty's ears, you just enjoy torturing poor people."

"Right, like the Queen has never heard Germans speaking English again or she herself does not know German, and there would be no way for them to converse." She said out loud mocking the demon. She turned to his victims once again and sighed. "I am really sorry, my lady, I do not think I can do anything to help, although I will talk to young master… however, perhaps we could take that thing off and take a break, maybe even drink an orange juice."

Selina shifted in her arms some accounting books Ciel had asked from Sebastian's room, and then reached to loosen the devise, but a sharp sting at the back of her hand from Sebastian's horse whip made her pull back.

"Please, my Selina; I know what I am doing. Once they do what I ask correctly, they shall have a break and snacks."

Selina's eyes were pretty threatening. "Hey! I am not your pupil, 'professor' Michaelis, in order to hit me with that or with anything."

"Not my pupil… yet." He smiled once again in a really promising manner.

"Hmm… Anyway, I am afraid I don't have time to argue now, as young master awaits these books and will get impatient any minute now." She sighed again with sympathy for the demon's new preys and quickly left the room while the cries began anew.

Since Sebastian was spending most of his time tutoring lady Sullivan and her butler, Selina had taken up a great part of his duties and one of them was to assist Ciel in keeping his company's accounting books, even though she had warned her master she was not good with numbers; therefore, they were deep in concentration comparing amounts, when Sieglinde burst in his office by slamming open the door with one of her crutches. Ciel jumped in his seat watching the girl getting closer to his desk with great speed, he sprung up when she was close enough for him to see and realise what kind of metallic contraption Selina had talked about, and he had dismissed as unimportant.

"What in the world is that in your mouth?!" He asked a tearful, frustrated and screaming Sieglinde.

She grabbed the lapels of his jacket and started shaking him back and forth still crying out inarticulately. Of course, to do that she had abandoned both her crutches, as a result her tiny bound feet could not hold her weight for long, they started wobbling and before Selina could catch them, the two children tumbled down on the floor; Sieglinde lying on her back, cradling the back of her head and Ciel above her on four trying not to crush the delicate girl.

"S-Sorry… Are you quite all right?!" He asked panting to catch his breath and scanning with his eye the girl's body to see if she was hurt anywhere.

"What is the matter with him?! Forcing my innocent mouth wide open like that! What exactly was he trying to shove into it?!" Sieglinde started crying, fed up by the butler's strict tutoring. With the fall the device had been dislodged from the girl's mouth, and now she was trying to speak with her numbed lips.

Before Ciel could answer, a very cheerful and smiley Lizzie barged in the room, announcing her intention of visiting once she heard he returned from Germany. She literally froze in the middle of her sentence, when her eyes fell on the obscene scene in front of her. A crying unknown teenage girl lying on the floor, Ciel on top of her while looking at Lizzie with goggled eye. Ciel felt a really dark and freezing aura crawling up his spine and was certain it was worse than Sebastian's demonic one.

"Ah! No…! Lizzie, this is not… Just let me expl…" He stammered but did not have the chance, as the 'Dark Lizzie' was already shaking and her eyes turned to green cold pools of acid, ready to dissolve even the tiniest bone in Ciel's body, as she was mumbling with a really dark voice… and then she exploded.

Forgetting everything cute and ladylike, she suddenly leaped into the air and lunged a kick towards the defenceless pair sprawled on the floor. Thankfully, Sebastian appeared out of nowhere right on time, stopping her leg with one arm while extending the other protectively in front of the children; Selina had already kneeled beside them and positioned her arms and back in a way so that she would receive Lizzie's kick.

"Please wait, my lady. There is a reason for this…" Sebastian said to the furious girl with his innocent look of compassion.

"I cannot believe myself!" Lizzie squealed after a while, when she heard the complete story that led to the easily misunderstood position of Ciel and Sieglinde. "I am so embarrassed, I jumped to the wrong conclusion! And I was on the verge of letting Ciel have it! I am so, so sorry!" It was obvious her words were true as her face had turned to a deep red of shame and embarrassment; she was clutching her cheeks and shaking her head.

"It is fine, do not worry yourself." Ciel comforted her with a steady voice, even though he was still drenched in cold sweat and pale… paler than when standing within the tank's shooting range.

"But Ciel! How mean of you to make a friend endure such harsh lessons all by herself?!" Lizzie went on sipping her tea as they were all gathered around a small tea table. Soma at her right was nodding in agreement having regained his self-confidence in view of his new ally, while Ciel, across her, could not believe his ears. "As usual, you still do not understand how girls feel..!" Lizzie announced disappointed at her fiancé's coldness. "Even difficult lessons can be fun with everyone's encouragement!"

"Is that right?" Ciel asked quite neutrally as to not anger the blond girl again.

"I know!" Lizzie cried suddenly smacking her hands together with sparkling eyes. "Why do we not all take part in those lessons today?!"

"Oh! That sounds good! Might be fun." Soma instantly agreed very enthusiastically.

"Huh?! Why must even I join in?! Either way, the etiquette required of men and women is different…" Ciel tried to explain turning even paler.

"She is your friend, so it goes without saying!" Lizzie announced and her tone left no room for any objections to the boy.

As Lizzie was offering her friendship to a speechless, dazzled Sieglinde, Ciel heard light snickering sounds from a male and a female voice behind him. He turned his head, only to see his butler trying to stifle his laughter with his hand and his tutor doing the same using the butler's broad shoulders as an extra cover for her reddening face. Ciel gave a warning growl to his servants calling them back to order.

The rest of the day turned more to a game than a lesson, as everyone took a turn in walking towards an imaginary throne, while dragging behind them a makeshift tail of a formal dress. It goes without saying, Lizzie was really good at this and Ciel the absolute opposite. His legs were shaking and his knees were buckling more than they should, gifting rich laughter to his friends and the present adults.

Lizzie proved to be a very strict teacher, as she commanded him to be more ladylike and… cute, of course.

"Young master, you were thoroughly trained in this prior to visiting the Viscount's residence, you will recall." Sebastian commented, really surprised and worried by his master's utter failure to remember what he was taught back then.

"Shut your bloody mouth!" Ciel yelled at him, shaking more violently for a moment at the remembrance of that horrid time, and the tortures he had gone through at his butler's hands.

Selina wanted to laugh but also felt sympathy towards the child; therefore she lightly elbowed the butler's side. "Hey, that was too cruel, you know."

She received a satisfied look from the sadistic demon that made her shake her head before turning her attention back to the laughing children, joining them like she was one too, and applauding lady Sullivan when, almost tearful from laughter, announced she could do it better than Ciel and decided to prove it immediately. Prince Soma was eager to try next and, either because he was clueless about it or because he did it on purpose, the result was so hilarious that no one could resist, and even the always serious Earl managed to crack a real smile.

That day, the Phantomhive town house was filled with laughter and a joyous atmosphere for the first time after a really long time.

Awwww! This last scene... isn't it so cute? How things should be for our young friends, laughing and having fun with no worries ! Anyway, I think this is one of the funniest and more relaxed chapters I have written and really enjoyed it, since... a lot of dark things are bound to happen soon! I hope you, guys, also enjoyed it! I would love to hear which is your favorite scene!

Also! The part where Sebastian says Selina is not his pupil... yet. I have thought something about that... of the adult nature, but didn't include because... it might be considered a little extreme (even I don't know how to feel about this idea *my inexperience on the field strikes back*). I only hint about it later in the story, but if you want to read some more spicy Sebastian and Selina moments, let me know, and I'll do my best to put it in words in a oneshot!

That's all from me! Next week, new arc! Till next time! Bye! 😊
