Opening File: Rolf
The Son of a Shepherd Rolf is despite his youth a experienced and skilled Hunter. He along with his Nana is the last of the Shepherd Family. When Rolf was a little boy in his old country, a rustler with a wolf mask would steal Rolf's father's flock of sheep. Rolf finally fought back, despite his fears, in order to save a sheep (possibly his favorite in the flock).
The man would reveal itself to be a demon, haunting Rolf's family and later attempting to wipe them out along with Rolf's village. Apparently, the whole experience was so traumatic for Rolf that it left a mental scar on his already jacked up the years, Rolf's mental scar continued to haunt him, driving his hatred to levels so high that it almost became more of a religious belief than hatred. It's known in his home land that there are a lot of hero stories, fights, famous people and unbelievable stuff that have been in his childhood.
He witnessed a giant Swedish meatball stalking Wilfred in the dead of night. Another strange tale is the story of how his Great Nano crossed the ocean paddling in a canoe made from the soles of his shoes while fighting a Giant Sea Cucumber in an attempt to immigrate to America. He claims the Giant Sea Cucumber stared at him like a sandwich and that they had to devour it. Because the Great Nano, who had one eye, was lost at sea in this battle, Rolf would dress in a tight-fitting sea cucumber suit and prepare a box of sea cucumber balls for the neighbors to feast, but was offended by Eddy when he threw one of these balls once.
Also, around the holidays, Rolf's family worships a woman named Yeshmiyek who supposedly lives in the center of the Earth preparing the holiday feast for good males and females. Rolf also celebrates the guardian pigeon. Another thing Rolf does is dueling: he would dig a hole and make a bridge of a tree and then he would put on a war-like suit with an ox skull on it and battle his enemy with dead stiff fish.

Opening File: Jonny 2/4
Jonny 2/4 is a young boy from the col-de-sac training to be a Hunter. Jonny has a huge, bald head, which is often the butt of many jokes and repeatedly gets caught in branches whenever he climbs trees. He is talkative and frequently gets on the other kids' nerves. He is rarely seen without his imaginary friend, a wooden board with drawn-on eyes and mouth named Plank.
He probably gets his nickname "Jonny 2x4" from his imaginary friend Plank, who happens to be a 2x4 piece of wood. Having no friends, Johnny took a marker and drew a face on a piece of wood, and dubbed it Plank. Jonny's parents are nature lovers with an interest for the spiritual. His mother has a foresight based Semblance, allowing her to read someone's future by using objects.
Jonny's father on the other hand is a woodworker with a penchant for making bad jokes that only his wife and son enjoy. Jonny had no inspirations to become a Hunter but decided to join in with the Eds and Nazz for training under Rolf because he was simply bored and because Jonny is a dreamer. His head teems with ideas and he loves to be the hero, even sporting a super hero identity: Captain Melonhead. His name comes from the fact that Eddy often calls Jonny ' Melonhead' as a nickname, most likely because Jonny's head is the shape of a watermelon.
The top half of Captain Melonhead's head is covered by half of a watermelon. Something odd is that he keeps an extra melon half under the first. He probably does this to cut the risk of being unmasked (claiming that there are two halves to every melon). Jonny seems to be slightly more competent and self-reliant as Captain Melonhead.
He, along with his sidekick Splinter the Wonderwood, protect Peach Creek from evil and to the surprise of anyone who knows him he's actually taken on and dealt with the occasional small Grimm. Jonny is also much more serious as Captain Melonhead, which is in keeping with the idea of a superhero. Despite having great strengths, Melonhead, like all heroes, has his weaknesses. He is unwilling to let an ally get hurt, especially his sidekick, Splinter.

"We are born different, we look different, we act different and we die different. We all are different from each other in many ways, even machines like yours truly. But are we truly that much different from each other? We speak, we think, we walk and we try to live life to its fullest." TOM remarked as the files closed. "So what makes us truly different? Is there truly a difference between us or is there something inside that makes us all the same?"
Xxx
"Great. Just great. We finally get home and end up…here!"
To say Eddy was not happy would be an understatement. After finally escaping the Gem Homeworld he had hoped to simply go home and spend the next week napping in bed…
Only to end up in a dark forest and being chased by Grimm.
With him were Ed, Rolf who was carrying the unconscious Kevin, Nazz, Jonny, Wally and the three Pearls.
"Just what does it take to go home? All we were supposed to do was pick up that squirt Jimmy and then go back home." Eddy continued to grumble before Rolf smacked up the back of his head. "OW!"
"Three haired Ed-Boy, feel free to silence yourself. Your ramblings give Rolf a headache." The Son of a Shepard said. "We must move. The dark ones are upon us."
Ice Pearl looked through the woods, eyes narrowing. "My Elemental is that direction."
"As is mine." Candy Pearl agreed, standing next to her. "We must go."
"Hey, wai-" Eddy started but stopped as the two Pearls rushed off, vanishing into the woods. "Fine! Who needs you?!"
"Eddy, will you please stop shouting?" Nazz asked, rubbing an ear. "We can follow them and find the others."
"No way! They were the enemy who kidnapped us!" Eddy exclaimed, leading Rolf to whack him again. "Ow!"
"Rolf will not ask politely for silence again, Ed-Boy!" Rolf clenched a fist. "You are being louder Rolf's Papa shaving of the sheep!"
'You're not being so quiet yourself, Rolf.' Nazz thought.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Wally shouted, chasing after the two Pearls. "Those are my friends."
"Wally!" Nazz called out but he was already gone too. "Oh come on! Doesn't anyone believe in sticking together anymore?!"
Slime Pearl looked around, stopping and pointing down an open path. "They approach."
She was right as three figures approached.
Rolf narrowed his eyes. "The enemy has found us."
The three were two Mobians, a Duck and a Mole with very sharp teeth and a woman with an alluring aura with long soft deep blue hair, violet colored eyes matching Black Velvet's. She wore a long black robe with a black crown resting on her head and she had pale skin with black and purple veins traveling down her face and neck showing her status as a Fallen.
The Mobian Duck let out a pleased chuckle. "Le Slime Elemental in our sights."
"Don't be acting as our team leader, duck. That feline decided to take off on us and take his petty revenge on the Grimm Slayer. He may have decided to leave you in charge but that's only in mere rank." The woman said coldly as she held up a clawed hand.
"My darling, I would never presume to think myself superior." Le Quack said, feigning hurt. "But for the sake of the mission I suggest we simply cooperate to finish it posthaste."
The woman said nothing as the Weremole snarled.
"Who are you guys?" Eddy asked as the three stopped just a few feet away.
"I am Le Quack." The Duck Mobian said, bowing in a polite but dramatic fashion. "With me is Aqueela and Mole, Weremole."
The lady remained coldly silent while the Weremole let out a snarl.
"I think he's got rabies." Eddy whispered, taking a step back.
"We come here not to fight but to speak with Le Elemental of Slime." Le Quack said, his eyes resting on Ed. "You are the Slime Elemental, are you not?"
"…Hello!" Ed simply waved.
Aqueela narrowed her eyes while Weremole let out another snarl. "This is the one we've been sent to find? Almost seems like a waste of our time."
"Now, now we must not lose our composure." Le Quack cautioned before turning back to Ed. "You've been quite popular these last few days, haven't you? Abducted by Gems, taken to their Homeworld to be used by the Diamonds in their plans for galactic domination and now you stand here in the Darklands of all places. How exciting it all must be for you."
"Exciting's not a word I would use." Nazz retorted. "What do you want with Ed?"
"It's not what we want with him. It's about what wanting what he can get us." Le Quick calmly answered. "I take it you all have heard the legends of the Elementals."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Four dudes or dudettes who got born with magic powers, blah, blah, blah." Eddy said rudely.
Weremole snarled, barring his fangs at Eddy.
"I might just drown this one if he continues to speak." Aqueela said, feeling a headache just from hearing this annoying boy speak.
"But I doubt you heard of what the Elementals are meant to protect." Le Quack continued, talking as if he was telling a grand story. "Serving as protectors of twelve gifts to the people of this world and to this universe by the heavens. Each gift represents the potential of all living things and hold tremendous power. The potential to change the very cosmos as we know it."
"Now I know you guys are crazy." Eddy mumbled.
"You would doubt my claims after all you have seen in the last few days?" Le Quack raised an eyebrow. "Perhaps you would be more willing to listen once you've met our grand leader."
"And who is that?" Nazz asked.
"Someone who knows the Elementals very well."
Ed's eyes flashed for a mere second and he nearly fell over, a vision instantly clouding all of his senses.
A burning fire…
Frollo's decapitate body on the ground.
Grimm everywhere…
And out of the fire came someone…
Ed knew this was around Quasimodo's time and watched through his eyes from the top balcony of Notre Dame, staring down at the man in black.
The man looked straight up at him with ominous red glowing eyes…
And then turned away, vanishing back into the flames.
Suddenly he was somewhere else, a battle field by the looks of the many dead bodies around him. He looked down and gasped when he saw a dark blade stabbing through his chest and realized he was pinned to a tree. He looked around, seeing three more bodies pinned to trees next to him…
And standing before them was the same man in black from before only with his hood down.
He had red hair that resembled fire, skin as pale as snow with black and purple markings and a strange eye tattoo on his right hand.
Like before he turned away, vanishing into the bloody forest but this time he could hear the man's voice.
"Not the right time."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Ed shouted, his eyes glowing with a flame that was colored green and brown.
"RAH!" Weremole roared and charged at the Slime Elemental.
From Ed's hands came streams of slime that slammed right into the Weremole, sending him flying back and slamming into a tree. Ed fired another batch of slime at the other two. Narrowing her eyes, Aqueela changed into a puddle of water that the slime flew straight over while Le Quack jumped out of the way.
"Well this could have gone better." Le Quack muttered.
It seemed he had said too much and caused the Slime Elemental to react harshly. It's possible his hint of the Spiral Gems caused Slime to experience a sudden burst of memories from his past lives, causing him to remember what and who the Elementals were protecting the Spiral Gems from.
'Perhaps simply letting Katz walk off to take his pitiful revenge was a mistake.' Le Quack thought.
Truthfully he was worried that Katz's need for revenge would get them in trouble with Sammael. However he couldn't simply force Katz to stay, not when the possibility of infighting would cost them the chance to locate the Slime Elemental and convince him to aid them. At best Katz would simply miss out and be too focused on dealing with the Grimm Slayer while he along with Weremole and Aqueela dealt with Slime on their own. It's not as if Le Quack didn't have the confidence to handle something as simple as that.
"It seems you overestimated your negotiation skills, duck." Aqueela's voice spoke from the puddle she had turned into. "You provoke him into activating his powers. Was this part of the plan?"
"I didn't see you trying to help." Le Quack retorted, growing annoyed with the water witch's attitude. "Perhaps he recognized you as a Fallen and this is all your fault."
"I wouldn't really care either way." Aqueela retorted softly. "Since your little scheme of talking didn't work I'll simply trap that Elemental in my puddle and bring him to Sammael."
"We were ordered not to use force." Le Quack pointed out.
"The priority as changed." The puddle then moved away, heading in the direction of Ed and his friends.
"Annoying water witch…" Le Quack muttered.
A disloyal leader…
An unruly beast…
And a water witch with an attitude problem.
Was it too much to ask for a team of professionals?
"Ed!" Eddy called out, watching as his friend fire another blast of slime at the duck and the mole.
"Long in the neck Ed-Boy has sensed the great evil!" Rolf said, looking at the ground and noticed a puddle moving towards Ed's feet. "Ed-Boy, beware the puddle!"
Ed looked down just as the puddle moved around his feet and he suddenly fell in.
"ED!" Eddy, Nazz and Jonny cried out but were too late.
Ed had been pulled under and had vanished into the puddle.
Xxx
When Ed opened his eyes he found himself literally underwater in a very strange looking place. There was no sunlight, making it mostly dark but he could clearly see a castle nearby with a courtyard filled with…
Human skeletons!
'Uh-oh! This is just like in that horror episode the Queen of the Dark swamp that rose up to drag her victims down to their fate!' Ed thought, holding his breath. 'This is the part where I get torn into pieces, devoured by her horrible majesty and my skeleton will decorate her halls.'
This…
Was…
AWESOME!
"Ed…"
Ed looked around, hearing that voice.
"Ed…"
'Uh-oh. This is the part where the Queen tries to hypnotize me with her voice.'
"Come with me..."
'How did they break free at the end of the movie….Oh right, it was a horror movie and they died at the end.' Ed suddenly remembered what happened at the end of the movie.
"Come with me…"
Xxx
"ED!" Eddy put his head down into the puddle, looking around and seeing only darkness. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!" His voice was muffled by the water before he pulled back out and looked Le Quack. "YOU!"
"Me?" Le Quack raised an eyebrow.
"She's your teammate! Call her off!" Eddy barked, pointing at the duck Mobian. "Swim in there and get my friend out!"
"I am a duck not a fish, idiot." Le Quack retorted. "As for your friend, he won't be dead…possibly."
"Why you-?!" Eddy lunged at Le Quack…
Only to be whacked as the Weremole jumped out, head butting Eddy in the face. Eddy hit the ground hard and looked up, watching as the Weremole bared his fangs, ready to take a hug bite out of him.
"EDDY!" Nazz shouted.
Luckily Rolf leapt in, kicking the Weremole in the face. "Shed tears no more, fuss-bucket Nazz girl. Rolf will send the beast that crawls from the shadows back where you belong! This is Rolf's word!…Dawg!"
The Weremole snarled, jumping to its feet and then burled underground. Rolf narrowed his eyes, knowing that the feral beast was going to attack him from under the ground. Activating his Semblance Rolf closed his eyes… and felt the vibrations in the ground that told him just exactly where the Weremole was and where he was going.
"AWAY WITH YOU, FLEA OF THE NETHERWORLD!" Rolf shouted, raising his fist and bringing it down just as the Weremole came out of the ground.
His collided with the Mobian's face, stunning him and giving Rolf enough time to pick him up and throw him at Le Quack who calmly stepped to the side and watched the mole Mobian hit the ground where he had been.
"Impressive." Le Quack muttered as the Weremole got back up, snarling at Rolf.
Eddy looked back down at the puddle, realizing if he was going to help Ed he had to do it on his own. "Hang on, Ed!"
He jumped into the puddle, making a bigger splash than possible for simply small puddle.
"Eddy!" Nazz called out.
"The boy…" Le Quack smiled. "He is…fini."
As he turned his attention from the puddle and Weremole once again tried to attack the remaining children an orb of light slipped into the pool.
Xxx
Eddy found himself underwater, even though he literally jumped into a puddle. He had no idea how long he could stay down here but he was a very good swimmer.
Just not so good at holding his breath for very long.
He spotted a small castle and surrounding it was…
Bones!
Human skeletons, all of them smiling and wearing a strange necklace.
There mere sight of it was enough to cause Eddy to panic, letting out a scream and immediately deprive himself of precious oxygen and leaving him with just mere seconds to get out or drown. He hastily rushed back up but couldn't find the opening he had used to get here.
He was stuck.
Alone.
In the dark water.
Just waiting to drown and join the courtyard of bones under him.
In his panic he didn't see the orb of light that followed him into the water, slipping into his back and then all turned bright…
Xxx
He was sure he was dead.
There was a bright light and he was positive he saw his dead grandmother.
But when the light faded all that was left was…water.
Clear, blue water.
"Eddy Mcgee…"
Eddy looked around, wondering if he was hearing things or not and let out a scream when he saw something.
A fish.
A very big fish.
A fish that was about the size of a blue whale, the world's largest animal.
"Your eyes do not deceive you." The voice from before came from the fish.
"What are you?" Eddy asked without thinking, his eyes widening as his hands flew over his mouth. "I can talk?!"
"And listen." The fish said. "Do you wish to save your friend?"
"Who are you?" Eddy lowered his hands.
"I am Jasconius the Fish." The Fish answered. "And you have been chosen to be the knight of the Fish."
"What?" Eddy was beyond lost at this point.
"Your friend is in danger, you are seconds away from dying. Accept my aid and my power and you will be able to save him." Jasconius explained.
Eddy was silent as he considered the giant fish's words. "…you can help me?"
"I can help you help yourself." Jasconius answered.
"Yeah, that's real assuring…Fine." Eddy waved the fish off. "Whatever. Give me what I need to help Ed. Right here and now."
"You accept?"
"Yeah, I accept! Now hurry up!" Eddy barked.
"Very well." The fish twisted its body, allowing its tail to reach out and touch Eddy on the head. "From this moment forward you are the Knight of the Fish."
Xxx
Aqueela grinned as she placed the Slime Elemental in the giant clam, creating a bubble for him to breathe in. While she would have preferred to eat his flesh like she had done with so many she had brought here she wasn't foolish enough to risk suffering Sammael's wrath.
That and the stench this boy emitted really killed her appetite.
"I'll keep you here for now and take you to Sammael after I have some lunch." Aqueela licked her lips at the idea of sinking her teeth into the other children. "It's been a while since I have had fresh meat."
CRASH!
Aqueela spun around, watching with widened eyes as something crashed through the wall of her castle.
Barring her fangs she snarled at the perpetrator. "Who dares?!"
The person in question wore knight like armor that covered him head to toe but the armor was modeled to resemble a fish.
"Lady, I'm only going to ask nicely once." The fish themed knight pointed at her while talking clearly despite being underwater. "Give me the lump sitting in the giant clam."
"And if I refuse?" Aqueela rhetorically asked.
"Then be prepared to get the Burrhead Bump!" The knight threatened.
"…The what?"
"YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Eddy, the Knight of the Fish let out a scream as he shot straight at her, slamming her into the wall and sending her flying out the other side.
Aqueela swatted the Knight of Fish away and let out a roar as her body became less human. Her head and jaws expanding, razor sharp sprouting in her mouth and claws growing out of her nails.
"I was hoping for a chance to have some lunch…" Aqueela's voice grew deeper as she stared at the Knight of Fish. "I think you'll do nicely."
