CRASH!

Aqueela spun around, watching with widened eyes as something crashed through the wall of her castle.

Barring her fangs she snarled at the perpetrator. "Who dares?!"

The person in question wore knight like armor that covered him head to toe but the armor was modeled to resemble a fish.

"Lady, I'm only going to ask nicely once." The fish themed knight pointed at her while talking clearly despite being underwater. "Give me the lump sitting in the giant clam."

"And if I refuse?" Aqueela rhetorically asked.

"Then be prepared to get the Burrhead Bump!" The knight threatened.

"…The what?"

"YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Eddy, the Knight of the Fish let out a scream as he shot straight at her, slamming her into the wall and sending her flying out the other side.

Aqueela swatted the Knight of Fish away and let out a roar as her body became less human. Her head and jaws expanding, razor sharp sprouting in her mouth and claws growing out of her nails.

"I was hoping for a chance to have some lunch…" Aqueela's voice grew deeper as she stared at the Knight of Fish. "I think you'll do nicely."

With that she shot forward at Eddy who quickly swam out of the way. Being made into the Knight of Fish had made Eddy considerably faster underwater. Unfortunately Aqueela was just as fast and she showed it as she swam after Eddy, moving almost as fast as a fighter jet despite being underwater. Eddy swam around the castle with Aqueela hot on his trail.

Snarling as she closed in on her prey, Aqueela opened her mouth, ready to take a huge bite. Eddy spun around and thrust out his hand…

And Aqueela slammed face first into invisible blast that sent her crashing into the wall of her own castle, leaving her stunned. Eddy took the chance to swim back into her castle and grab Ed out of the giant clam she had left him in.

"Come on, Ed. We're getting out of here." Eddy said, grabbing the loveable oaf and then shot out of the castle.

"Going somewhere?"

Eddy looked forward, spotting Aqueela as she shot out of the boney graveyard and opened her mouth, aiming to swallow Eddy as he swam at her. Looking down Eddy picked up a bone and just as Aqueela attempted to bite down on them he stuck it in her mouth.

"RAAAAAAH!" Aqueela roared, her mouth stuck open while Eddy swam past her.

"Get a breath mint lady!" Eddy shouted, swimming up to the top of the underwater world she lived in.

Looking up he saw a bit of light in the 'ceiling' of this messed up place.

"Hang on, Ed. We're getting out of here." Eddy said and took off towards the light.

Aqueela snapped the bone in half and looked up, seeing her prey about to escape. "Oh no you don't!"

With a wave of her hand the puddle started to close up.

"Oh yes I am!" Eddy held out his hand and suddenly the puddle started to widen instead of shrinking.

"WHAT?!" Aqueela shouted, absolutely stunned.

"See ya, fishface!" Eddy shouted as he and Ed shot up through the puddle, escaping Aqueela's underwater pocket world.

Aqueela would have gone after them but the puddle suddenly resumed shrinking and closed, leaving her world in darkness.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Xxx

Eddy looked back down at the puddle, realizing if he was going to help Ed he had to do it on his own. "Hang on, Ed!"

He jumped into the puddle, making a bigger splash than possible for simply small puddle.

"Eddy!" Nazz called out.

"The boy…" Le Quack smiled. "He is…fini."

As he turned his attention from the puddle and Weremole once again tried to attack the remaining children an orb of light slipped into the pool. Rolf dashed forward, upper cutting the Weremole, sending the Mobian flying up and crashing into a tree branch and then fell back onto the ground. It picked itself back up and snarled, leaping at Rolf again. Rolf held put his hands, catching the Weremole's jaws and keeping them with one hand on the upper jaw and the other on the lower jaw.

Nazz aimed and fired a solar blast. "Rolf, look out!"

Rolf looked for a split second and jumped out of the way, leaving the Weremole to be hit head on by Nazz's blast, knocking him back.

"Nice one, Nazz!" Jonny cheered.

Rolf picked up a large tree branch and started hitting the downed Mobian with it. "ROLF SHALL BEAT SOME SENSE INTO YOU!"

BASH!

BASH!

BASH!

SMASH!

BASH!

BASH!

SMASH!

BASH!

The Weremole stumbled back before finally reacting, catching the branch in his teeth and biting it in half. As the fight continued Nazz noticed red eyes in the trees and realized there were Grimm nearby.

"Rolf, we got to move! Grimm!" She called out.

"Do not worry. As long as you do not leave our sight the Grimm will not attack." Le Quack said calmly but kept a condescending smile on his beak. "But things are growing out of control. I believe I shall end this."

His eyes flashed and suddenly Rolf, Jonny and Nazz were paralyzed. Their eyes glowed bright red as they simply stared.

"The Grimm are good. Naughty children are bad." Le Quack said slowly, pointing to the bushes. "Get rid of children."

"Get rid of children…" Nazz, Jonny and Rolf echoed, turning to dark bushes where the Grimm were lurking.

"Yes." Le Quack turned around, content to let the Grimm and Weremole have their meal in private.

As he turned away he failed to notice two orbs of light slip in behind Rolf, Jonny and Nazz, phasing into their backs.

Xxx

Rolf blinked, finding himself…somewhere else. "What is this hocus pocus? Rolf does not remember wondering off into a fog of mysteriousness."

"But you remember what happened before that?"

Rolf spun around, eyes widening as he looked up, seeing a giant wolf staring down at him. The wolf had grey fur and glowing yellow eyes.

"…YOU!" Rolf leapt at the much larger wolf, pounding on its front legs. "I said, never again will you torment Rolf's livestock and family! Rolf will have his revenge!"

"I am not the wolf you are thinking of." The wolf spoke, seemingly unaffected as Rolf's punches.

"Quake and quiver like a jellyfish, doggie doo-doo, for in the name of the great shepherd elders, Rolf will grill your strudel until you cry like a teensy-weensy baby!"

The Wolf had enough and pushed Rolf away. "Listen, I know you have suffered at the hands of Fenrir but he is not a true wolf. I come to offer you help."

Rolf jumped back to his feet. "And what does giant as a mountain wolf offer Rolf?"

"I am Navius the Wolf. I am a guardian and I have come to offer you the power to save yourself and your friends. You are worthy because you protect your friends much like an alpha wolf protects his pack." The Wolf explained.

"Rolf does not like comparison." Rolf mumbled.

"And yet it is true." Navius replied. "I offer you help in defending your pack but you must put aside your disdain for wolves. What is more important? Your friends or your hatred of one demon who wears the mask of a wolf?"

Rolf was silent, clenching a fist for a second. "Rolf has made his decision…"

Xxx

Nazz felt like she was standing on a cloud…no wait, she was actually standing on a cloud! At first she panicked because she thought she was going to fall but stopped when she saw she was just standing.

"Okay, this is new. Did I die?" She wondered out loud.

"Not yet."

She looked up and was amazed to see a giant eagle standing on another cloud, staring at her with mysterious and yet brilliant eyes.

"Wow…" Nazz marveled at the sight of the giant eagle.

The way it spread its wings out made it seem as if it was holding the very sky itself to.

"I am Garuda the Eagle." The Eagle spoke. "I have come to offer you the chance to save yourself and save your friends."

"Save us…How?" Nazz asked.

"You have a gift." The Eagle spoke. "You take in nourishment from the sun itself and use it in defense. Accept my help and you will have the power of the sun and the sky on your side."

Nazz stared up at the Eagle, seeing it was telling the truth. "All right. Help me get everyone out and you got a deal."

"Very well." Garuda spread its wings and leaned down, touching its beak on Nazz's forehead.

"Man, we are tripping buddy." Jonny said, standing a forest.

Not a forest like the one from before.

This was one beautiful, green and full of life.

Not dark, full of misery and Grimm like the one from before.

"Man, what I would do to live in a place like this." Jonny sighed happily.

"Play your cards and you might."

Jonny watched as a big rat came out from behind the trees, a big smile appearing on his face. "Oh wow! So cool!"

"Yo. I am Chuchundra the Rat." The rat spoke clearly.

"A talking rat…Yawn." Jonny said, feigning an actual yawn. "So are you like my spirit animal? No offense but I pictured myself more as a beaver. You know because they live in houses made of wood."

"Rats live in trees too, you know. We scurry everywhere, all around you and you never see us." Chuchundra said, walking around Jonny. "Does that make us lesser than a beaver?"

"Of course not. None of the creatures of nature are lesser." Jonny answered, shaking his head. "We all live together in a beautiful world. Sure some of us are bigger and smarter but that doesn't make us greater or lesser. We are all equal in nature's eyes."

"Good answer." Chuchundra nodded. "So, want some help?"

"Help?" Jonny tilted his head slightly. "What kind of help?"

"The save your life kind of help." The Rat answered.

"Okay." Jonny nodded.

The Rat looked surprised. "…Just like that?"

"Yeah. I can tell you want to help so I accept your help." Jonny shrugged. "Doesn't have to be complicated."

The Rat stared and then nodded. "Right."

His tail reached out and touched Jonny's forehead.

Le Quack barely took three steps before stopping and turning to see the source of the great light that had blazed to life behind him. "Qu'est-ce que c'est?"

The light was enough to blind the surrounding Grimm and Weremole, all of them crying out in surprise while backing away. The light eventually faded away, revealing three different figures where the three children had been.

The first resembled a Mobian wolf, dressed head to toe in armor colored white and grey with a wolf shaped helmet over his head.

The second wore golden armor with an eagle helmet over their face and the frame showed it to be female with wings sprouting from her back.

The third and final wore dark grey armor modeled after a rat with a rat's tail pocking out of the rear end.

The nearby Grimm snarled, suddenly alert and wary while Weremole crawled back over to Le Quack who himself could see that this could be a problem.

"My mole friend, I believe we must depart. For I believe our job is done." Le Quack said, feeling there was no reason at all to stick around.

There really wasn't any reason since the point of the mission was to find Slime Elemental and bring them before Sammael. Despite Aqueela being a little more forceful than the duck Mobian would have preferred and Katz running off to pursue his own agenda the mission was more or less a success.

SPLASH!

Le Quack's previous assumptions were dashed as another figure dressed in blue armor resembling a fish shot out of Aqueela's puddle with the Slime Elemental in their hands. "Quoi dans le monde?!"

The fish armored man waved his hand and the puddle closed up, trapping Aqueela in her little underwater world, leaving Le Quack and Weremole alone with this unexpected and unwelcome surprise. Le Quack nervously stepped back, seeing the odds were not in his side's favor and perhaps retreat was the better part of valor.

Especially when the man in wolf armor held up his hand and shot lightning at them.

Yes, retreat was the safest option!

"What is going on?!"

Abby couldn't believe what was happening.

Her sister standing before her after she disappeared for years.

And this whole time she had been working with the enemy?!

"Yeah, Cree. What is going on?" Drake asked, folding his arms as he looked on in amusement.

Cree threw a dark look at him before facing his sister. "Abby, listen to me. The day our parents died I was...I was told where I needed to send you to keep you safe. Once I found the Ice Elemental I knew you'd be safe there and then I came here…I was looking for Sammael."

"Looking for…" Abby's eyes widened and then narrowed in anger. "Cree, you went to Sammael? You went to the guy who killed our parents? Did you kill our brother too?!"

"It wasn't supposed to go down like that.' Cree tried to explain.

"Then how was it supposed to go down, Cree? Because I don't know where you've been or what you've been up to. I know where I've been though. I was hiding for my life, doing what you told me to do, including hiding my powers like you said." Abby angrily retorted. "Nice advice by the way. It sure did help save me when that lava giant brought down the Uno's home and nearly killed Nigel and me like our parents! Like it helped when that Fallen with the scarred eye attacked us! And it sure helped when aliens abducted us too!"

"I didn't know about that until after they happened. I came all the way to that planet to find you, didn't I?" Cree rhetorically asked.

"Just to deliver me right into the hands of the guy you said killed our parents. I've seen him, Cree!" Abby pointed to herself. "I've heard his voice! I watched him as he took hits from the world's best heroes like they were nothing and every fiber in my body was screaming at me to run. That's what I have been through. What about you, Sis? What have you been doing this whole time?"

"Keeping them," Cree pointed to the observing Team DWMM. "From coming after you. Do you know how close you've been to being dragged out of your bed, kicking and screaming all the way here? You were less than a hair spread, that's how close. You think it was mere luck you've survived all this time?" Cree pointed to herself. "Wrong! It's because of me! I'm the only reason you are still alive, Little Abby. I kept not only the Fallen from coming after you but I made sure the Satyra couldn't touch you either."

Cree's face softened as she continued.

"Back then you didn't live in fear like we did. It was only after we lost our parents did you begin to understand."

"Understand what, Cree?" Abby questioned.

"You've seen what I've seen. Felt what I felt. I thought I could solve all our problems easily, just by asking the right questions." Cree stepped forward. "And then I saw how wrong I was when I tried to kill Sammael."

Abby's eyes widened. "You what?"

"I tried to kill him. I was literally choking on all the anger I let build up since our parents died. And guess what happened?" Cree stepped back. "I found out just how nonexistent my chances, anyone's chances were of actually living through what's going to happen if they tried fighting him. We can't beat him and the only remote chance we have of living through what he's going to do is…make a deal."

"So…That's it?" Abby clenched a fist. "That's your reason for all of this? You got a little scared and went along with all of this?"

"I don't think you understand how bad-"

"I UNDERSTAND PERFECTLY, CREE!" Abby shouted, eyes flaring gold now. "You're afraid of Sammael, more than I am and I'm the Elemental! He scared you into working for him and you were gullible enough to go along with it!"

Cree clenched a fist. "I had no choice!"

"Like GOLB you didn't!" Abby retorted. "You left me behind, thinking you were helping me when all you did was just run away because you didn't want to deal with me or my Elemental problems!"

"That's not true!"

"You ran and you're only here now because you're waiting for your master to show up and make me into his slave!" Abby kept yelling.

"All right, that's enough." Massive said, growing tired of the sibling squabble.

He held out his hand that glowed bright and a second later Abby felt a great weight that pulled her down, forcing her to lie face down on the ground.

"What are you doing?!" Cree spun around, facing the giant criminal.

"As much as your reunion is entertaining I can do without the shouting. It makes things heavy on the hearing." Massive held out his other hand and Cree found herself being lifted off the ground. "You both look like you should…lighten up."

"Or maybe you need to cool down."

Suddenly a wall of ice came up between Abby and Massive, distracting him enough that his control of gravity around Abby slipped.

Nigel was behind his friend, his hands on the ground and blazing with his Frostfire.

"Nigel!" Abby got up to her feet.

"Hey, I guess we missed a little bit after we got those crystals off." Nigel remarked with a small smile. "It's all kind of a blur to me."

"Me too but I remember enough. We're back on Earth and we're in the Darklands." Abby quickly said, looking back at the ice wall and seeing the outline of her sister as she stood up. "And my sister's here."

"Yeah, I heard just as I came to." Nigel grunted as his Frostfire grew slightly larger. "I'm trying to make the ice strong enough to keep them all out."

SLAM!

Which wasn't easy as the hulking form of Massive began punching at the ice on the other side.

"But I don't think it's going to last for very long."

Massive's fist glowed as he slammed his fists against the ice, causing cracks to spread even as Nigel used his Semblance to try and reinforce the wall.

"Abby, if you have an idea now would be a good time."

Abby stared at the wall, seeing Cree's shadow as Massive brought his fists down again. The impact of the strike actually knocked Abby off her feet, having been too close to the wall.

"Abby!"

Xxx

"Young Abby."

Abby awoke, finding herself in a familiar place and looking at a familiar face. "Chatsberry."

"I am relieved you are all right…For the most part."

"Yeah…" Abby stood up. "For the most part."

"It seems you are in a troubling situation." Chatsberry commented, trying to sound casual but Abby could hear the concern in his voice.

"Ya think?"

"No need to get testy. You should be focused on getting yourself and your friend out of this mess instead of being sarcastic." Chatsberry scolded.

"I am trying but I'm alone with Nigel. The two of us are just kids and we don't have experience with our powers." Abby turned away, pacing a bit now. "We shouldn't be dealing with this."

"You are right. You shouldn't but it's what the situation is." Chatsberry said. "If something is not done soon you will be taken to Sammael…"

Abby looked at Chatsberry. "Why now? Why now when he's killed the Elementals before? What's so special this time?"

"He is not the only one making his move. Others like him and ones with the potential to be more dangerous than even him. I believe he has been waiting because he wants to remove all obstacles in his way first before claiming his prize. If he convinces the Elementals to aid him this early and everyone else is dealing with the other threats…"

"Then he'll have an open road." Abby finished, stopping her pacing and faced Chatsberry. "That's why he's hunting the Elementals all this time. He didn't want them growing to be a threat and wanted to capture us before we can become one."

Chatsberry nodded. "An effective tactic, I'm afraid to admit. Given our situation I am not sure how anything can be done to-"

"No!" Abby suddenly shouted, walking up to Chatsberry and looking him in the eye. "I am not giving up and I am not letting you tell me to give up!"

"So what do you suggest? I cannot only advice you to try and keep the wall standing long enough for help to come." Chatsberry stated.

"You can do better. You are going to pass everything on to me." Abby pointed to herself. "The new Candy Elemental."

Chatsberry's eyes widened with his jaw dropping at what he had just heard. "Do you understand what you are asking of me, child? The process is meant to take years, gradually allowing you to understand all your past lives, their struggles and wisdom before you would be fully to become a full-fledged Elemental."

"We don't have years." Abby said. "If I am meant to be deal with this for the rest of my life I am going to fight. I am done running and I am done hiding."

"Abby…" Chatsberry softly placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "What you ask…It's impossible that you won't be changed in some way. Are you sure you want this?"

Abby was hesitant to answer at her, clenching her teeth and took a deep breath. "Ever since I was little I was to keep all of this hidden, to never let it out and never show it. Cree might have meant well but it never helped me or my friends when we really needed it. All I've done is pick away at the locks I put on like she told me to but that's enough. So yeah, I've never been surer of anything in my whole life…Do it."

Chastsberry withdrew his hand and backed away. "Very well."

He spread his arms out and the space like around them started spin, becoming a literal whirlpool of colors that circled around the platform.

"As of this day, we recognize you, Abigail Lincoln as the Elemental of Candy. You are meant to bring the wonder of creation and joy to this world, to remind the people in it there is always beauty in all things. Infinite light that bring hope in all it touches." Chatsberry said as his form started to vanish.

The colors spun faster and faster.

"With this decision made we will not be able to communicate with you any longer but as long as you hold onto the hopes and dreams of those who came before you then you are never alone." Chatsberry said, vanishing completely.

Abby felt the ground beneath her vanished and she fell into the whirlpool. As she fell, images of people, places and events passed through her mind so fast it was impossible to hold onto and yet she could make them out so clearly. Everything that the previous Candy Elementals and everything they knew poured into her mind, all of them different and yet the same in many ways.

In a way she was all of them just as they were all a part of her now.

"Good luck, Abby." Chatsberry's voice whispered before everything faded to darkness once more.

Xxx

Sammael stopped, his eyes widening slightly. "This presence…One of the Elementals…Have they complete their reincarnation process already?"
