Opening File: Chatsberry
Chatsberry is the first Candy Elemental, at least the first one to exist in known history. Following his original death at the end of the Cataclysm he had reincarnated through the centuries, the most recent of which is Abigail Lincoln. Chatsberry was a mindful elemental who preaches caution to Urgence Evergreen when he proposes his plan to create a wish-granting crown. He also came across as deeply insightful, suggesting that the crown may discover things within Evergreen that he cannot see himself.
He spoke with authority amongst his fellow elementals, evidence that his counsel was respected and sought after. After his death his body and the remnants of the power it once held led to the creation of the Gum Golems of Candied Island and he would become a mentor to his successors. He explained his past to Abby and when she convinced him to complete the reincarnation process faster than usual he objected at first but complied. Once he opened her mind and awakened the Elemental powers in her he informed her he would no longer be able to communicate with her as now the process was complete and he would take his place with the other Candy Elementals in her soul that they had become part of when she was born.
He bid her good luck and disappeared, his job in this life time done.

SMASH!
Nigel gasped, crawling back as his ice wall was completely shattered, making his way over to Abby who was still unconscious. "Abby, come on! Wake up!"
"Well, that was a bit of a work out." Massive said, wiping snowy dust off his hands. "Going to have to do better than that, little ice boy."
Nigel glared at the hulking man but made no move, knowing he was virtually dead if he tried anything.
"Just relax. You can wait for our boss to show up and have a word with you." Massive said, holding out a hand. "Just lie down and relax."
His hand glowed again and Nigel was pulled down to the ground much like Abby had been earlier.
"That's better. Now we just wait." Massive said with a satisfied smirk on his face.
"Get your hands off my friends!" A young boy's voice shouted.
Massive turned around, just in time to be greeted with a punch to the face by none other than Wallabee Beatles. The hulking blue skinned man staggered and slipped, falling onto his buck.
"What in the-" Cree got back in time to see Massive fall over.
"Wally?" Nigel was absolutely stunned to see his friend.
"Hey, Nigel. Glad to see you are talking normal again. You got your brain back?" Wally asked with a smile.
"I…You helped us escape the Gems!" Nigel realized, the memories coming back to him now. "You went all the way to their planet!?"
"Sure did." Wally nodded, facing down team DWMM as Massive got back up. "Now we're getting out of here."
"Who is this?" Massive asked, standing back up.
"One of the kids who helped extract the Elementals from the Gem Homeworld." Mastermind answered, crossing her arms. "Come on, we can't keep dealing with these interruptions. Just glue them to the ground so we can wait for the boss."
Two more blurs shot out, landing next to the Elementals.
"Pearl…Pearls?" Nigel looked to see both Ice and Candy Pearl standing between them and Team DWMM.
"Are you all right, my Elemental?" Ice Pearl asked, her eyes staring down Team DWMM.
"Now what?" Massive sighed. "This is getting old fast."
"We need to get out of here." Nigel said, picking Abby up. "If we stay any longer we're in deep trouble."
"Understood. I shall clear the obstacles aside." Ice Pearl said before reaching at Team DWMM.
Massive raised his hands, calling upon the power of his Gravity Manipulation Semblance, seemingly grabbing onto Ice Pearl and holding her down. "This is too easy."
However to his surprise Ice Pearl jumped up, kicking him in the chest and due to the side effect of his Semblance he was not only knocked off his feet but sent flying up and slamming into a tree so hard it fell down with him.
"What?!" Drake Sypher exclaimed, shocked by what had just happened.
Ice Pearl landed gracefully on the ground, the effect of Massive's Semblance wearing off. "Gems are able to adjust their bodies to any level of gravity. Your abilities are useless against me."
Massive grunted as he stood back up. "Oh yeah?"
With a wave of his hand multiple branches were lifted off the ground and sent flying at Ice Pearl who immediately dodged, looking extremely elegant as she did so.
"Someone's itching to get a gold medal." Mastermind commented with an impressed smile.
"Branches are one thing." Weathervane took a step forward and raised her hands. "But what about the power of the weather itself?"
Everyone stopped and watched as the other female member of Team DWMM turned herself into what looked like a small but powerful hurricane. The wind was so strong that blew away the branches floating in the air thanks to Massive's Semblance and even caused the younger onlookers such as Nigel and Wally to be blown back into the cave with Nigel still holding Abby while everyone else was trying not to get blown away. Massive held out his hand to Ice Pearl and with his Gravity Semblance made the gravity around light enough that she was then sucked into the hurricane, completely stunned and left spinning for a few minutes.
Ice Pearl was then sent crashing into the ground, leaving a huge dent as Weathervane turned back into her normal form. The Gem was left in a daze and wide open as Massive rushed at her, grabbing her and with his Gravity Semblance slammed her so hard into the ground a small crater formed around them. Massive wasn't done as he raised his fist knocked Ice Pearl out with a vicious blow. The strength was so strong that Ice Pearl's form vanished in a poof of smoke, retreating back into her gemstone.
"Too easy." Massive said, picking up the gemstone. "Pretty. I think I'll hold onto this. It could decorate my collection."
Suddenly a pink gum like arm lashed out and slugged Massive in the face, knocking him down again and the same arm grabbed Ice Pearl's gemstone. Everyone watched as the arm pulled back, revealing…
"Abby?" Cree gaped.
Abby was standing up, her eyes glowing gold with red and white fire blazing from them and her right arm having stretched into the pink arm that hit Massive. She held out the gemstone and gave it to the stunned Nigel who simply took it without even thinking and without taking his eyes off of her.
"Abby?" Nigel spoke up.
"Wow. Looking very…tough, Abby." Wally commented.
"Wally, Nigel." Abby looked at them and smiled. "You're both okay…"
Both shared a look, immediately knowing Abby was…different.
"Yo, Abs." Wally waved a hand. "Are you still…you?"
Abby actually chuckled. "Yes with a little bit of no."
"Huh?"
"It's hard to explain. I'm still Abby but I've got all of the other Candy Elemental's memories now. I asked them to give me everything they got and it all goes way…way back." Abby's eyes widened slightly as the memories seemed to flood back. "I remember how they lived and how they died. Their likes, their dislikes, their quirks and how brave they all were."
"Really? Sounds like a lot." Wally commented.
"Tell me about it." Abby chuckled, rubbing her head.
Cree stared with widened eyes as she heard everything. 'Abby…She's gained all the memories of the past Candy Elementals?'
'How will Abby discover her true self?'
Cree's eyes widened even further, remembering what the Magic Tree had told her years ago.
'She will discover it the day you betray her.'
Cree realized this was the day that tree had been talking about. Her true self…It would be revealed when Abby accepted the magical powers and the experiences of the previous Candy Elementals.
"Okay, I am getting annoyed now." Massive said, getting back up and looked mad. "I am about at the point I don't care about what the boss wants!"
Abby looked back at Massive, narrowing her eyes. "Abby's afraid your boss is going to be disappointed. We're not interested in seeing him."
Her Aura glowed bright and she placed a hand on the ground. Her magic was channeled directly into the ground, creating pink gum like arms that reached and grabbed Team DWMM and Cree, surprising them long enough for the arms to wrap around them, covering them up their necks and completely immobilizing them.
"WHAT?!" Massive shouted, taken completely by surprise.
Drake Sypher scowled while Weathervane and Mastermind struggled to break free. Cree stared in complete awe at her sister who stared blankly back at her.
"WOW! AWESOME!" Wally cheered.
Nigel wondered his jaw had dropped to the ground by now because he was completely speechless from seeing Abby, Elemental powers or not bring down five baddies all in one move. He briefly wondered if he would be able to something as awesome as that.
"Come on. We got to move." Abby said, turning to her friends.
Massive grunted as he struggled to break free. "Wh-What kind of gum is this?!"
"The magic kind." Abby answered, looking at the hulking man. "It's strong enough that it can hold even someone as strong as you indefinitely no matter how hard to you try to break free."
"Too strong to break free huh?" Drake Sypher mused, smirking. "Okay. Let's try another way."
Suddenly he turned into a mist, leaving his gum bindings to fall onto the ground. The mist then solidified back into Sypher who threw a smug look at Abby.
"Too bad for you I probably have an answer for every magic trick you got." Sypher gloated.
Weathervane was next, morphing again into a hurricane cloud that hovered over everyone and changed back into her normal self. Massive grunted as he struggled to break but Sypher grabbed the gum, seemingly getting his hand stuck but a second later the gum exploded.
"DAMN!" Massive cursed loudly.
The smoke cleared, revealing both Sypher and Massive unharmed thanks to their Aura protecting them.
"I told you to never do that!" Massive barked at Sypher who simply walked over to Mastermind and did the same to her, freeing her from the gum.
"I'd prefer you not make me look bad by failing to get out of some stupid gum." Sypher said, flexing his hand.
"Okay, how did you do that? I thought your Semblance was turning into smoke." Wally exclaimed as he pointed at Sypher who laughed.
"That's only one of many I can use." Sypher held up his hand. "But you wouldn't happen to have one of your own by now would you, kid? I'd love to add it to my collection."
"Add…He can steal Semblances?!" Nigel exclaimed in terrified realization.
"You got it, kid. One touch is all I need and any Semblance I want is mine. I've had a fun time with it, stealing any Semblances that caught my eye. I prefer to call it Power Transfer but you can call it whatever you want." Sypher stepped forward. "I don't think Sammael will care if I take that freezing fire Semblance of yours. All he needs is the Elemental magic you've got."
"Not going to happen." Abby said as her Aura flared again.
"Well, you say that now but…" Sypher raised his hands, pointing all fingers at the kids and released energy strings at the kids and Candy Pearl, grabbing them before they could even move, tying their arms and legs together. "Now you're going to sit down and wait quietly for the boss."
The three struggled to break free but to no avail.
"Struggle all you want, kiddies. This string Semblance I picked is meant to be unbreakable." Sypher gloated. "No human can break free."
"Then perhaps one does not need to break free." Candy Pearl said before glowing bright and shrinking down.
She shrunk down to her gemstone until she was nothing but a head with arms and legs sticking out of it. The strings that had been used to bind her fell to the ground and a second later Candy Pearl was standing back in her normal form.
"Okay, now I want to see if I can take that power." Sypher said, slowly walking towards Candy Pearl. "Hold still. All it takes is one touch."
"In that case…" Candy Pearl's gemstone suddenly began projecting holographic duplicates of herself that surrounded Sypher. "You will not have the chance."
Sypher looked around, seemingly not afraid of the duplicates. "Really? Is that all?"
POW!
One of the duplicates suddenly punched Sypher in the face, surprising him by just how real it felt.
Not to mention painful.
"GAH!" Sypher clenched his nose, able to tell it was almost broken.
The other Pearl holograms immediately attacked, punching and kicking from all sides.
"OW! CUT IT OUT!" Sypher shouted, grabbing one clone by the arm and suddenly exploded, scattering the rest of the Pearl clones that immediately shattered upon hitting the ground.
Candy Pearl narrowed her eyes as Sypher turned to her. "A form combustion caused by physical contact."
"It's a little more complicated than that." Sypher straightened himself up. "It allows me vibrate molecules of my targets very fast or very slow, causing them to explode or burn. I wonder what would happen if I were to use it on a Gem. So let's find out."
He placed his hands on the ground in front of him, grinning as a red light traveled through the ground towards Candy Pearl that immediately turned into lava. Eyes widening, Candy Pearl had time to move as the ground beneath her melted into lava that she started to sink into. While Gems were more durable than organics if the lava reached her gemstone it would likely melt and kill her.
Luckily a pink gum arm reached out and pulled her out of the lava before it touched her gemstone. Candy Pearl skidded on the ground a bit, her body still smoking from being in the lava but she was otherwise unharmed. Nigel quickly conjured a Frostfire and spread it over Candy Pearl's body, cooling her down but Candy Pearl was busy looking at the person who saved her.
"Are you all right?" Abby said as her arm returned to normal.
"Y-Yes, My Elemental." Candy Pearl nodded, seemingly stunned by what had just happened.
"We're getting out of here and finding our friends." Abby said once it was safe for Candy Pearl to be near them.
"Oh? And how do you plan on doing that?" Sypher asked.
Abby smirked, raising one finger. "Like this."
She made slashing motion with her finger and created a portal resembling a peppermint candy, surprising Sypher. "What the-"
"Come on!" Abby grabbed Candy Pearl. "Get in!"
Nigel nodded and jumped into the portal, followed by Wally and then Abby and Candy Pearl were last before the portal disappeared.
"Why those little-RAH!" Sypher grabbed a tree and made it explode.
"That's what you get for playing with your food, Drake." Mastermind shook her head.
Sypher spun around, glaring at her. "It may have gone over that swollen head of yours but what do you think the boss will do when he finds we let them escape?"
"Not if we find them first." Mastermind held up a small device. "Good thing I had a small tracker ready."
"A tracker? When did you have the time to tag them?" Sypher asked curiously.
Mastermind smirked. "About the moment we found them." She looked at the device but her eyes widened in shock when she found the new location of the Elementals. "Actually, we might not have to do anything."
"Why?" Sypher asked. "We got to find them for the boss."
"Oh, they've been found already." Mastermind answered. "I don't think we'll have to worry about the boss."
Cree's eyes widened in horror before she snatched the device from Mastermind and took off running, using her Semblance to increase her speed.
'No, no, no, no, NO!'

Abby and Candy Pearl landed on the ground and the portal behind them vanished, leaving them somewhere else in the Darklands.
"Where are we now?" Wally wondered as he looked around.
Given that they were still in the Darklands it's not like they were much safer than before but at the very least they lost those freaks. They were now in what appeared to be a cemetery which was surprising as the Grimm made it impossible for people to live in the Darklands.
"I don't know. When I summoned the portal I wanted us to get away from those guys. Having the memories of the Candy Elementals in my head showed me what I could do…But I don't much control over it." Abby took her hat off and rubbed her head.
"Speaking of memories…" Nigel hesitated. "Abby, what happened? Isn't it too soon for you to have all their memories?"
"It is." Abby placed her hat back on her head. "I made them give me everything."
"What?" Nigel gasped, his eyes going wide. "But…That's supposed to take years."
"It was but we didn't have time." Abby sighed and looked at her hand. "I'm still me. I thought I was going to be someone else…but now I realize that the changes they meant was them becoming part of me not the other way around."
"So you are still…you?" Wally asked.
"I think so. I just feel…whole. Like a puzzle that's gone unfinished for so long has been finished." Abby chuckled and sighed. "Sorry, I'm not making much sense am I?"
"As long you are still you, I don't really care." Nigel answered with a smile.
"Me neither." Wally agreed. "I'm just glad you guys are back."
"Right, back…" Abby trailed off. "You came all the way to the Gem planet to find us. I thought I remembered hearing your voice."
"Yep." Wally nodded proudly. "Me and that Omni guy came to rescue you."
"Omni!" Nigel and Abby exclaimed.
"Yeah. You remember him?" Wally asked.
"We do now. For a while we didn't." Nigel answered, sharing a look with Abby. "We met him a few years ago when my Dad brought him home. He saved us when Katz tried to feed us to giant spiders."
"Sheesh." Wally flinched.
Abby decided to continue. "We lost our memories of him because of a Fallen…a guy with a scarred blind eye. I can't believe it took so long to remember him. We must have repressed it when that guy tried to kill us. He left after that, thinking we'd be in danger if we stayed."
"So what do we now? Wait for everyone to find us?" Wally asked.
"I have a feeling you won't be waiting long." An amused voice chuckled from behind them.
Turning around, the two Elementals, their friend and Candy Pearl looked to see none other than the leader of the Fallen himself, Sammael with fear in their eyes. Despite Wally be brave before what was a mere image of him before going to rescue his friends every instinct in him was now screaming at him to run. Nigel and Abby were no different, even trembling slightly while even Candy Pearl looked wary of the strange organic.
"Welcome to the only graveyard in the Darklands." Sammael chuckled and gave a small bow. "It's something of an historical landmark that very few get to see."
The four all took a step back, even though Sammael made no move.
"Now, now, there's no need to be afraid." Sammael smirked. "That can be for later."
"Let's move!" Abby said, moving to summon another portal.
However Sammael snapped his fingers and a red spherical barrier surrounded the four, trapping them inside. When Abby tried to create a portal, Grimm arms lashed out of the ground and grabbed onto the portal which shattered a second later.
"Like I said, no need to be afraid. I just want a few minutes of your time…" Sammael sat down on a rock. "To talk."
