Opening File: The Eternal Meadows
Located north of GrimmFall the Eternal Meadows is the only sign of human civilization existing in the Darklands which is not much considering the only sign is a massive graveyard. It is possibly the remains of an ancient battle fought in the Darklands centuries ago but there has been little to no evidence and the only one who can answer is likely the one who committed the massacre.

TOM stepped out of the elevator and walked into the media room. "Hey there. No new lesson today but we got a lot going on these days. Like our GrimmFall movie series that is growing by the day."
The screen showed various GrimmFall movies being played.
"Open your eyes, let us begin. Yes, it's really me, it's Crom: breathe it in!
I know it's a lot: the hair, the bod!
When you're staring at a fertility-god!"
The Fae known as Odin conjured a blizzard at Crom but the evil god simply used turned into a shower of snow that lit up the stage.
"What can Crom say except you're welcome.
For the wealth, the sun, the milk.
Hey, it's okay, it's okay.
You're welcome!"
"First off we have the second moved after Golden Castle, GrimmFall: Hail Crom." TOM started.
UNIT: E7 KAGAYAKI
STATUS: ACTIVATED
DRIVER: TSURANUKI DAIMONYAMA
AURA: STABLE
BATTERY OPERATION TIME: 36 HOURS
ENERGY LEVELS: 100%
"CHANGE! SHINKALION!"
A giant robot clashed with a giant Grimm monster resembling Godzilla.
"Then we have robots coming to life in GrimmFall: Shinkalion." TOM said, moving onto the next movie.
A form in a cloak is shown with a weapon on his back
And a disgraced member...
A disfigured form is shown limping towards the temple
All meet in a clash over a sacred item...
Shows a small satchel holding a single bean
And revenge...
The disfigured form attacks a member of the ancient order, only for the Warrior to defend her
Now, one warrior on a journey finds himself caught up in the battle
The cloaked warrior is shown panting before he looks back
To defend a sacred item
A hand made of bacon and carrots tries to grab the satchel
And save the ancient order from eradication
The warrior turns to his draconic form and slams into the disfigured form to save one of the order
But when it seems like defeat is nigh...
The draconic warrior is shown on the ground, panting
A lost power is tapped...Shows coding surrounding the draconic form
And the Angel shall rise from the flames
A burst of fire is all that is seen before the female Foodian gasps, as does the disfigured form
GRIMMFALL: ANGEL'S FIRE
COMING THIS FALL!
"The newest addition to the GrimmFall movie verse. GrimmFall: Angel's Fire." TOM said ending the presentation. "And believe me given how the story's going you can expect to see a lot more. See keep watching and be prepared to be rewarded with lots of action."

BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
"I'm running out of ammo!" Jesse called out as strange Grimm, resembling dinosaurs crawled towards them.
They specifically resembled the kind that shot paralytic poison in your face that he remembered seeing on a special movie with dinosaurs but couldn't remember the name.
"Stay close!" Nier shouted, using his Grimoire Weiss to summon a magical whirlwind. "Dark Whirlwind!"
The magical whirlwind blasted the surrounding Grimm away, clearing the area away…for the moment.
"Okay, so our plan to evacuate from the Gem Homeworld hit a little snag." Jesse said, keeping his guard and pistol ready to shoot.
"Really? Cause I'm sure Valhallen would have told us he was about to make a detour into the Darklands." Nier rolled his eyes.
"Hey, no need to bite my head off, man. The important thing now is get out of here before more Grimm show up. Do you have a portal spell in that book?" Jesse asked.
"If I did it would have been a lot easier getting off of the Gem Homeworld and we probably wouldn't be here." Nier answered.
"Okay so portal is out the window. What about a tracking spell we can use to find the others?" Jesse questioned as they moved forward.
"Look Jesse, the Grimoire Weiss is filled with entire pages of spells and I haven't memorized them all even though I've had it for a while. Not only that but they take time to properly master. If there is a portal spell in here if I used it without the proper training and reading of all instructions I'd probably drop us right in the Earth's core." Nier said annoyed.
"All right, all right." Jesse raised both hands. "I'm just asking."
Nier sighed. "I am just starting to remember why I considered retiring. I have a daughter and a second child on the way and I don't want to leave Kaine alone."
"You could have said no." Jesse pointed out. "When Val and Krunk came to recruit you."
"Kaine would probably never forgive me for turning my back on kids, Elementals or not." Nier answered. "We wouldn't be very good parents if we did that."
"So you only took this job because of your obligation as a hunter or the personal honor of a parent?" Jesse questioned as they walked.
"A bit of both, I guess." Nier answered honestly. "I knew with the Grimoire Weiss in my hands I'd probably be facing the Fallen again sooner or later. That mess with Umbra, you defeating Commander Reyes, Roland had taken down Walter Padick and Mordred Deschain. I knew it was a matter time before I faced them again but I was hoping it wouldn't be too soon and that it would only be one even if it was Sammael himself."
"And I have a feeling he's dealt with hunters like us before." Jesse remarked. "You get the feeling there's more to him than we have been told?"
"We've been told what we need to know. He's the enemy and he must be stopped." Nier answered calmly. "Even if we delve into his origins there's nothing else I need to know."
"Yeah, that's just like you, Nier. Straight to the point." Jesse closed his eyes for a second as he sighed. "I suppose it doesn't matter much to me anyways either. I'll be lucky enough if I make it out of here alive, let alone to the end of the finish line."
"You think there's a finish line?" Nier questioned.
"Always is even if we don't see it." Jesse calmly answered, pointing his pistol forward. "Especially when you have big guys blocking your view of it."
Nier looked forward and saw what Jesse was talking about. A Grimm resembling a Triceratops, covered heavily in white bone armor, sharp horns and of course the signature glowing red eyes.
"A Triceraclops." Nier remarked.
"I knew things were getting too easy." Jesse sighed before he fired the first shot.
The Triceraclops roared and charged at them, aiming its horns down to piece the both of them. Nier activated his Semblance, pushing Jesse out of the way in time before he was pierced by its horns, leaving the shadow duplicate to be hit instead. Nier jumped out of the way in time, his eyes trailing over the Grimm for weak spots.
'Looks like its only weak spot is a soft underbelly.' He thought and sighed. 'It's never easy.'
And he just used his Semblance to get Jesse out of harm's way. He couldn't use it again for about twenty minutes. In the meantime Jesse continued shooting at the Grimm to keep its attention him, knowing Nier was in the middle of coming up with a plan to kill it.
Besides, Jesse had a few tricks of his own.
With a mere activation of his Semblance Jesse conjured a past image of himself that confused the Triceraclops as it paused, looking in between the two human prey. Jesse's image moved in the same direction as he earlier, following after the real one as he ran around the Grimm to keep it distracted. Finally having enough the Grimm chased after them, its horns piercing Jesse's image while Nier cast another spell from the Grimoire Weiss.
"Dark Execution!" He called out.
Magical spears shot out of the ground, impaling the Triceraclops while it was distracted. The spears pierced its underbelly where the armor was weak, killing it in a matter of seconds.
"That Grimoire of yours really makes things easier." Jesse remarked as the Grimm vanished into black smoke. "Without it I think we'd have been dead a long time ago."
"I agree." Nier nodded. "Which is likely part of the reason we're here. A chance to get rid of several threats such as the Grimm Slayer, Valhallen, Krunk."
"And the keeper of the Grimoire Weiss." Jesse finished.
"So we better move." Nier suggested.
"Any idea where to go?"
"SHADOW METEOR!"
BOOM!
Both Huntsmen looked in the direction of a large explosion not too far away.
"That might be one place to start." Nier pointed.
"Good enough for me."

"RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!"
The moment Kazemon was taken out of sight Lowemon became much more aggressive, attempting to fight his way through the Grimm and Monkey Fist to reach her. However the Scythe Simians and their master continued to be as agile as ever as they easily dodged his attacks, no matter how big he made them. He was stronger there in the Darklands due to little light that was there but the same was said for the Grimm and the Fallen. Monkey Fist had been ahead of the two the moment they had arrived in the Darklands.
He had planned out the ambush perfectly, accounting for their powers, their skills and their teamwork.
He separated them and Lowemon was desperately trying to reach Kazemon before she…
"SHADOW METEOR!"
He fired another giant blast of dark energy as Monkey Fist who shifted his staff back into its sword form, cutting through the attack, splitting in half and avoiding the explosions when the blasts hit the ground.
"Look at you." Monkey Fist shook his head as his sword changed back into its staff form. "Legendary Warriors…Nothing but mere children wearing masks. I've seen it in how you fight and how you act. This is so easy I cannot believe the effort I made into planning all of this."
Lowemon growled as he charged at Monkey Fist, slashing his lance at the Fallen who easily blocked or dodged.
"Sloppy…" Monkey Fist whacked him in the face with his staff, leaving him delirious.
Shaking his head Lowemon tricked again, stabbing at Monkey Fist who twisted his body, allowing the lance to pass under his arms and missing his torso by mere inches.
"Uncoordinated…" Monkey Fist slammed a fist into Lowemon's torso. "Fist of the Monkey King!"
A blast sent Lowemon flying back, hitting the ground hard. Winged Beringels landed around him and pinned his arms and legs.
"All that power and you lack the emotional control to properly use them." Monkey Fist slowly approached.
Lowemon struggled to break free but the Beringels were too strong.
"You really should have thought ahead before challenging us. After all, it only takes one simple plan…" Monkey Fist's staff changed back into a sword as he raised it over Lowemon's chest. "To ruin all other plans."
Lowemon looked up, watching as the sword fell…
ZAP!
"Hurricane Wave!"
Monkey Fist stopped his attempted stab and his sword in front, catching a lightning blast but was caught off guard by the wind gust that knocked him back. Another lightning blast followed, hitting the Beringels holding Lowemon down. The Warrior of Darkness jumped to his feet and spun around seeing who saved him.
"Kazemon! Valhallen!"
Kazemon landed down in front of him, looking only a bit dirty and scratched but was otherwise unharmed. "Are you all right?"
"I should be asking you that." Lowemon answered, throwing a grateful look at Valhallen. "I guess you had something to do what that."
"And Krunk." Valhallen nodded with a smile. "He stayed behind to give us time to get to you. But we better get moving and fast. We find the others and get out of here."
"What about Krunk?" Kazemon asked.
"He'll catch up. I know him and I know how strong he is. He won't fall behind, especially not because of the Grimm." Valhallen reassured them. "Besides there are kids out there and they need us more than Krunk does."
"Where to?" Lowemon asked.
"Leaving would be a little premature, wouldn't it?" Monkey Fist asked as he stood back up. "So the Viking God of Rock saves the butterfly girl. I thought the Grimm would have kept you distracted long enough before you found anyone." He then thought sourly. 'Skarr was supposed coordinate the Grimm to keep everyone distracted. What is he doing?'
Monkey Fist had no idea that Skarr had decided to join Katz in taking revenge on the Grimm Slayer known as Omnimon for easily defeating them in their first encounters with Skarr even temporarily losing his Semblance. They both were confident that they could quickly slay Omnimon but hadn't accounted for Sir James' honor and loyalty to Sammael, choosing to turn against them for their insubordination rather than help them simply kill the Grimm Slayer. Monkey Fist made a mental note to track down Skarr and give him a proper scolding for his incompetence before summoning six Scythe Simians to his side.
"I had hoped to make my kills quick and relatively clean but it seems I'll have to put a little more effort into it." Monkey Fist remarked, brandishing his staff.
"Careful. He had a sword made of something called Black Dust that absorbs energy." Lowemon cautioned.
"Black Dust huh? That explains a lot." Valhallen scowled. "That's going to make things hard, even for me. Black Dust can absorb even Asgardian magic."
"I guess I can add Asgardian to today's menu." Monkey Fist grinned as his staff started to glow.

"Let us out!"
Sammael simply watched as Wally pounded on the spherical barrier him and his friends were trapped in. It was amusing to watch and he found himself intrigued to see how long before the young Faunus finally tired himself out. Abby tried conjuring another portal but the Geist arms sprouted out of the ground and drained the portal of its magic before it was even formed.
"Not good…" Abby grunted as the arms retreated back into the ground. "Those things…They drain magic…"
Nigel placed a hand on Abby's shoulder as they both glanced at Sammael. Both had uncomfortable flashbacks, mostly involving the past lives of the other Elementals and how they faced him. For Abby it was even worse because she remembered how the past Candy Elementals had perished.
In battle.
To Grimm.
To war.
To poverty.
And especially to Sammael.
"There is no need for you to waste your strength and breath with such hostility." He finally spoke to them. "But I understand your fears. I am sure Sebben has spoken very ill of me and the fears of the past are alive in you."
"Who says I'm afraid? Just let me out how and I'll show you how afraid I am." Wally said, punching the barrier again.
Sammael smirked. "Before we continue I suppose we should move the introductions. I am Sammael. May I know the names of the current Elementals before me?"
"You know our names." Abby said, deciding that if he was going to talk they would listen long enough to figure out a way to escape.
"I do but manners should never be forgotten, especially to such promising young future hunters." Sammael said, removing a strand of red hair that fell over his eyes. "Abigail Lincoln the new Candy Elemental and her best friend, Nigel Uno the Ice Elemental. And of course who can forget their other friend, the one who risked his life to travel across the cosmos to save them, Wallabee Beatles."
He spread his arms out, gesturing to the three children before clapping. "So young and yet you've come so far. Very impressive."
"And we're not done yet. We'll take you down next." Wally pointed at the Fallen.
"You won't be the first to try but maybe you'll the last ones." Sammael remarked. "But have you bothered to ask your Elemental friends, what their memories have told them of me?"
"That you're a monster. That you're trying to wipe out all life on Earth." Nigel accused.
"Is that what they say?" Sammael raised an eyebrow, looking almost…offended. "Your past selves said this?"
"Does it matter? You've hunted them, you've murdered them." Abby gritted her teeth. "I can see it as clearly as I can see you!"
"Do you also see what they had done to me before? How they tried to use me?" Sammael tilted his head slightly. "What they tried to do?"
"That…" Abby gasped as her hands came up to her head. "That was…"
"Abby?" Nigel turned to her with a worried look.
"We can get back to that at a later time. What matters now is this." Sammael changed the subject. "Two Elementals with a third out there, struggling to survive and fourth about to claw her way into the light. Four souls cursed and bound for eternity to play in this game started long before the world was formed. The destiny of everyone and everything forever changed and altered."
"What are you babbling about?" Wally asked impatiently.
"Do you wonder why the Grimm seek to kill humanity?" Sammael asked, leaning back. "The force that created them knew there was a darkness in their souls and wanted us to remember that until the end of the universe itself. Sebben, Major Glory, the heroes would say there is a light we have and the forces that gave this world the chance to survive saw potential in us but you know better don't you? You know if they believe there is no other choice they would destroy everything down to the very last microbe and then remake the universe that would never know what the price of its rebirth was. A truly peaceful universe."
"You're crazy." Nigel whispered.
"You know it as well. Your heart may deny it but your soul knows the truth little ice flame." Sammael said, smiling sadly. "The people of this world were molded into weapons by the forces meant to ensure life endured and if they failed all life would be destroyed to keep the darkness from spreading."
"You're talking about the Spiral." Abby said, her memories continuing to flash in her mind.
"So you know. Did Sebben tell you or have your memories truly returned?" Sammael asked interested. "Then you know unless something is done it will never end. The cycles will continue again and again and again unless something is done. That is my purpose and the purpose of all Fallen. We've evolved to control the destruction and we'll see to it that no one ever dictates our destiny or the destiny of this world again."
Sammael stood up and raised his hand, causing the sphere around the children to disappear.
"You have a chance to avoid the mistakes of your predecessors." He said, walking forward and just stopping a few feet from them. "You can help me truly change what is to come or you can continue this pointless fight that will last long after you three have passed."
….
…
…
"Here's my answer!" Wally shouted as he shot up, aiming a fist at Sammael's face.
The Fallen casually stepped, twisting out of the way and watching as the Faunus flew past him. Nigel quickly brought his hands to the ground and his Frostfire traveled through the ground, forming a block of ice around the Fallen.
"Always the hard way." Sammael sighed.
"You're going down!" Wally shouted, leaping up to deliver a full powered punch to Sammael's face.
However with just a flare of his Aura the ice holding him shattered and simply side-stepped Wally's attack again.
"Is this all the Ice and Candy Elementals can offer? I am truly disappointed then." Sammael remarked, watching as the boy landed next to his friends.
Wally looked brave but Nigel and Abby…
Nigel's Frostfire Semblance seemed to flare slightly out of control that he was struggling to keep under control. Meanwhile Abby was trembling; the memories of losing her parents along with her past memories of losing to Sammael began to flood her. As he watched the tall red eyed man approach her Abby's own fear began to overtake her.
"Someone help!" The Candy Elemental finally shrieked.
Sammael took a second to stop, taking a deep breath and seemed so relaxed. "Your fear…I've forgotten how an Elemental's fear and negative emotions are amplified to the Grimm and Fallen." He opened his eyes and looked at them. "I'd prefer to wait until the time is right. I don't like fighting children no matter what strength or determination they might show."
Wally smirked. "Meaning you can't kill us. After all, if they die those powers don't come back for a long time."
"Don't overestimate your worth, child." Sammael smirked. "You saw me drain the magic of your friend's portal. I can just as easily drain the rest of her powers along with Ice as well. It's something I have been working on for a long time now."
Nigel's eyes widened, looking as scared as Abby now. "You're lying."
"Am I?" Sammael laughed softly. "There's a reason Cree was convinced to help me. It is because I showed what could happen if she failed to do the same for her dear sister…And it seems we're about to have an uninvited guest."
A blur shot out of the woods, shooting straight at Sammael.
"SAMMAEL!"
Sammael summoned a dark tendril and used it to slap Major Glory away, sending him skidding a few back. The major landed on his feet and glared at the Fallen as he summoned more tendrils from his single arm.
"Major Glory." Sammael grinned. "You're late."
"Stay behind me." The major said to the children. "I won't let him get close to you."
"Now this would be blast from the past. Me, the hero with the Spirit of America and the poor child caught in between." Sammael taunted, seeing the enraged look on the major's face. "It seems this is becoming more difficult than I thought but I came prepared. I'd prefer not to fight here in the only graveyard of the Darklands. It's as close a sacred place the part of me that might possibly be human would consider."
He snapped his fingers and spoke mentally. 'Drago, drag them down into the fire.'
Deep under the surface a pair of eyes opened and an earthquake followed that was so great it was like the Earth itself was shaking.
"You thought you could simply slip in, save your friends and then leave? There's a reason no one has had the courage to enter the Darklands and take the fight to me. The reason is simple: I am the Darklands and the Darklands are me. The Grimm and the creatures that hide here answer to me and I direct them as easily as I direct my arms and legs." Sammael spoke as the ground started to crack open. "Spirit of America, Elementals, Light of All, it does not change the fact that once you came here you knowingly risked everything to simply take a step onto these lands. And it will take much more than everything you have to leave."
