Opening File: Sammael

Born thousands of years ago during the Forgotten Era Sammael was the first of the second generation Fallen to come into existence, thanks to the arrogance and actions of the first Ice Elemental Urgence Evergreen. Having existed for centuries Sammael has mastered not only all the powers of every known Grimm in existence he is also a master of the dark mystic arts and leader of the Fallen and the Invisible Hand, both groups with malicious plans for the rest of the world and possibly the universe. Not much is known about his past aside from the fact that he was a sickly child, a victim of a plague that was taken to the Pool of Darkness during when the super continent Pangea still existed and was thrown into the pool. His mother was gifted with a wish granting crown and in her desperation to keep her son alive she wished with all her heart that he would not only survive the plague and the Pool of Darkness but anything.

The wish came true as the boy was brought out of the pool by the very Grimm who spawned from it but he was no longer human. He was taken in by the Elementals, Yen Sid and King Ozric after his nature was discovered and while some called for his death they soon found out the child could not be killed by any mortal methods and that included even magic. Yen Sid raised him and it was said by Chatsberry he was raised and taught with the hopes of being the answer to truly stopping the Grimm.

Sammael was not born evil.

But he was made evil.

While it is not clear yet on what truly happened Sammael turned on Ozric and the Elementals, creating other Fallen like himself and brought forth the downfall of Pangea despite the fact that Sammael would later state that the downfall was the fault of the Six-Founding Spiral themselves and described himself as being trapped. While history has become blurred on what truly happened Sammael survived and lived through the ages. Whenever the Pool of Darkness was sealed the Grimm would go dormant and so would he along with the other Fallen. His most recent appearance in modern history was appearing in Japan when the Emperor sought to seal the Pool of Darkness and was responsible for the loss of the Emperor's sword.

Since then he has retreated to the Darklands, amassing resources and followers to aid him in his goals. Sammael was also responsible for the death of Major Glory's predecessor and uncle, the hero known as Uncle Sam but left Major Glory alive for reasons unknown. He also became aware of Van Kleiss and met him, setting him up with a lab in the mountains of Nowhere to take part in a project to discover new worlds in the multi-verse and possible warriors he could add to his forces. Sammael had also spent centuries hunting the Elementals, attempting to persuade them to join him and when they fought him he would personally kill them and wait another century for them to reincarnate.

During those cycles he would work on way to absorb their magic but held off on going after them due to other threats rising across the world. Knowing that while his fellow Fallen were strong but could still be defeated Sammael sought to build his strength by recruiting warriors for his own special group: the Invisible Hand. Among them were teams JJIBA, composed of Jujunga, James, I and Am and Boris along with Teams DWMM, composed of Drake Sypher, Weathervane, Mastermind and Massive, and Team KLAW that was composed of Katz, Le Quack, Aqueela and Weremole. He would also recruit others such as Hatchet, Keven Levin and Cree Lincoln into his ranks for reasons unknown.

As the world grew and evolved around Sammael took the time to study the many warriors that were appearing such as the Justice Friends, Phil Ken Sebben the Dragon of Denver, the Grimm Slayer, the Crystal Gems, the Demon Blade of the East, the League of Alliance Society and many more, coming to know many of them quite well even if some of them had never met or heard of him. He had fought and defeated many warriors through the ages with Major Glory and the Dragon of Denver being the only two who were confirmed to have fought him and lived to tell about it. He also studied possible threats to his own agenda such as the Diamond Authority, Bill Cipher and Morgana Le Fae but took little action against them for the time being, believing they would be make their own enemies who would stop them and only moved against them when he believed they were openly threatening his plans. As of now he is still waiting but has made his move against the Elementals, attempting to bring them over to his side and while it has not worked he does not appear to be worried or disappointed.

Rather he seems to have expected their reaction and is more intrigued about how strong they and the rest of world could become.

Opening File: Time Giants

Eons ago before the birth of the Ultimate Evil or the current deities, the Titans ruled over the cosmos with Cronus as their King. Cronus was the most powerful Titan and the controller of time. During his reign, Cronus crafted the Gems of Cronus, which gave him power over reality itself. But Cronus went mad due to his arrogance and paranoia, which made him devour all of his children as soon as they were born so that none of them could overthrow him. Cronus then embarked on a campaign to control the universe itself, creating a race of giants that shared his powers of time travel.

These giants would travel planet to planet, wreak havoc on the civilizations that were found and ultimately destroy all opposition before ascending to planetary domination. Cronus ensured these time giants could never rise up to overthrow him, programming them with many limitations including the assured destruction of any Titan and the planet they found if any thoughts of rebellion were detected. In the end, Cronus was stopped by his son, Zeus, and stripped of the gems, which were then cast down to Earth. It is said that these three Gems became part of the Spiral Gems and were actually collected by the Azure Guardian of Time and Space.

Cronus was chained to an asteroid and tossed into a black hole where he would remain for eternity. Once Cronus was defeated the Time Giants were left without a leader and many of them died from either being overthrown since they were now without their creator and master while others were imprisoned. A single giant, an infant was sent to Earth before Cronus was defeated where it would remain in stasis until it was fully matured and ready to take over the planet in the name of its master.

It is unknown if this final giant will ever awaken…or it is even still alive.

"Well, well, well. We finally get a glimpse into the background of the big bad guy. Seriously you think HE's going to be the Big Bad here." Bill Cipher jumped into the screen, conjuring a big leather chair. "I am just here cause I want to remind the writer to get back to that Master Computer bid. I just LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it when kids pick out my products. I can hardly wait for this chapter's massacre."

Artemis would have preferred bringing her stealth outfit but that was in another universe. Fortunately her green hero's outfit was enough she could blend with the forest as they made their way up towards the cliff. Erika seemed to know where to go and she was just as good at being stealthy as Artemis or even Robin. The Viking Huntress moved so quick, quiet and precise Artemis had to glance at her to make sure she knew she was still there.

According to Erika they were going to take the long road around the cliff just in case there were guards on the paths leading to the village which would take more time. Luckily Erika brought along some Gravity Dust and placed them into her gun name Ran.

"You ever jump up to the top of a mountain before?" She asked Artemis once they close enough to the mountain.

"Can't say I have. I have a boyfriend that could run up to the top of the tallest mountain in under thirty seconds though." Artemis answered with a fond smile.

"Then this will be a new experience." Erika slid her goggles over her eyes. "Hang on tight."

She grabbed onto Artemis and pointed Ran at the ground and then fired. The blast of Gravity Dust sent them flying high into the air. Erika had four shells coated in Gravity Dust and she fired each shell ten seconds later, sending them flying to the top of Berk and reached the top of the mountain. She then switched to regular rounds, firing them to slow their descent as well as avoiding colliding with trees.

After a few more shots they were just a foot away from the ground before Erika lowered her feet, skidding through the ground and finally came to a halt.

"Wow…" Artemis mumbled as Erika put her down. "That was…New."

"You are not going to get sick are you?" Erika asked, putting Ran back in its holster.

"No…I am used to these kind of stunts." Artemis shook off the question. "So we're at the top."

"Yep and now we can take a better look at the camp." Erika pointed down, lifting her goggles from her eyes. "Let's hurry."

"I might save you the trouble."

Erika pulled out her sword Aegir and Artemis pulled out her bow with an arrow ready a second later as they aimed the source of the voice.

"Whoa-whoa-whoa! It's me, Erika!" The person slipped out from behind a nearby boulder.

Erika narrowed her eyes. "Doyle Blackwell."

Artemis carefully lowered her bow but kept a suspicious eye on the man who was said to be have been Erika's best friend growing up. Doyle Blackwell was clearly a young man of noticeably high stature and a muscular build, with bright red hair styled in a mohawk with the shaved sides, and dark eyes. His attire consisted of a brown, long-sleeved collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up, brown gloves, a yellow belt, black pants and knee-length combat boots; in addition to this, he wore two hoop earrings on his right ear.

"Hey there." Doyle said with a small smile. "Been a while huh-OW!"

Erika cut him off by slugging him in the face. "Do you have any idea how worried I was when you hardly called or anything to stay in touch for the past year? Only to work for that double crossing, no good, backstabbing merc whose only love is cash?! He'd sell out his own mother for a penny!"

"Whoa-whoa-whoa. Let me explain." Doyle backed away, now very wary of her and how angry she looked. "I have a good reason for that."

"You better hurry and explain said reason." Erika laid a hand on Aegir's handle. "And it better be a good one."

Doyle took a deep breath and sighed. "Look, when we both left New Berk we had our own ideas about how we needed to find our place in it. You found your place with your team while…I went searching for answers."

"Answers to what?" Erika asked.

"My family…The family I had before a monster showed and attacked us in the Himalayas. It wasn't a Grimm but it was somekind a creature…A Cryptid." Doyle started.

"A cryptid?" Erika raised an eyebrow.

"Care to fill me in?" Artemis asked.

"A Cryptid is a type of animal believed to be mythical in most cultures. The kind of animals that regular people don't see and don't believe to be real such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster." Erika explained.

"And the Yeti of the Himalayas." Doyle said darkly. "Only its real…It's the monster that killed my family."

"How can you be sure?" Erika asked skeptically.

"There is a monk monastery in the mountains. After I checked the campsite my family was at I went to them and asked about the monster. They told me it was a Yeti…Or at least one of the Yeti tribe." Doyle answered.

"Tribe? As in more of them?" Erika cut in.

"Yep. An entire tribe of them, bloody and real sickos. The monks sealed them in the mountains to keep them from attacking with magical seals but the one that attacked my family and a lot of other people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time was long gone before that happened. They pointed me to someone who might know, a Yeti that they raised to be a pacifist who lives in GrimmFall might know about the one who killed my family but he simply told me that if I had any sense I'd not go after him or the other one." Doyle continued.

"Other one? So three Yetis are out there with one of them being the only nice one." Erika summed up. "You know who it is?"

"All that the one in GrimmFall told me was that the Yeti I was looking for vanished after he learned how to speak like a normal person and that they wanted to amass a fortune in Cryptids." Doyla answered. "Not a lot of people do that except for…"

"V.V. Argost." Erika finished, narrowing her eyes. "The Host of Weird World, the number one show of Cryptids on the planet."

"Yeah. They showed me the cave the Yeti was hiding out and I found something." Doyle produced his tablet and showed Erika and Artemis a picture. "Look familiar?"

To Artemis it was obviously clay that was used to make a mask but to Erika it was much more. When Doyle brought up a picture of Argost it became clear to them both.

It was his face!

"Argost is the Yeti?!" Erika's eyes widened. "Th-That's…"

"Yeah." Doyle put his tablet away. "He's the monster."

"The abominable snowman as a TV celebrity?" Artemis asked.

"How did he even get close to being what he is now?" Erika asked, trying to wrap her brain around it.

"I did some digging, quietly of course. Argost was originally poor but he came to Baron Finster for money. I snuck into his home and stole the files without him even knowing." Doyle answered.

"Baron Finster…The biggest arms dealer in the criminal underworld." Erika noted. "It would make sense. Almost every person with dreams of world domination go to him for something. How did Argost get him to fund Weird World?"

"He supplied the schematics for Finster's lower body." Doyle answered. "Being an arms dealer is hard but being the biggest one is pretty much a life sentence with a bulls eye on your back. Finster lost his legs and he needed help."

"So Argost gave him a new body." Erika caught on. "And Van Rook has been frequently hired by Argost to track down rare Cryptids…That's why you started working for him, isn't it? You want to get close to Argost."

"Yep." Doyle nodded. "I covered my tracks with Finster and he's so afraid of Argost that if he suspected I stole files on their deal he'd burn his entire empire down before he let that creep find out."

"And here?" Erika asked.

"That was Bertha…She's here too and she's got a lot of friends." Doyle answered. "Argost wanted information on the dragons and Bertha's the only…I guess you can call her a woman who would be willing to talk. She told him about the old legends of Berk and she was the found this place with Argost's help. Now she and Argost have rounded up people to break in, find someone called the Chief and make them tell them where New Berk is. Find New Berk…"

"And you find the Hidden World." Erika finished, finally seeing the whole story. "So you sent the message to my father who then sent the message to me."

"Yeah. You know I wouldn't sell out the tribe, Erika. Your folks took me in, gave me a home." Doyle brought a hand to Erika's shoulder. "I'm many things, Erika but I'm not a sellout, especially to creeps like Van Rook and Argost. I want them taken down more than anyone."

"So now what?" Erika questioned. "If Argost wants to break into the chief's lair he's going to have trouble. It's riddled with traps that only the greatest of warriors can ever hope to get past."

"Well, Bertha's confident she can get into the volcano and find the chief. The people she's brought are just meat shields, patsies. Expendable so she won't have to deal with the traps." Doyle answered.

"I don't plan on taking that chance. Bertha the Barbarian is probably the most skilled Outcast warrior to have existed. She's carved her through everything the Barbaric Archipelago has to offer and she's done it so easily. I don't plan on giving her a chance to reach the chief." Erika looked down at the camp.

"So what's the plan?" Artemis asked.

"Van Rook is leading this operation. If we take him out the thugs won't have anyone to pay them unless Argost himself is there." Erika reasoned. "Doyle, if you can slip back in and take Van Rook when he isn't looking we might have the chance to break up this operation without any fighting."

"But I so love to fight."

The three spun around, spotting Bertha the Barbarian standing a few feet away with…

"Connor!" Artemis exclaimed with widened eyes.

"Ross! North! Yara!" Erika shouted, unable to believe what she was seeing.

The three other members of Team REYN along with Superboy looked beaten and bruised with all four bound heavily. Superboy looked particularly beaten and sported a dozen cuts with a puncture hole in his ribs.

"So these are yours?" Bertha asked, grinning darkly. "Good. I was expecting the Vikings of New Berk to send someone to stop us."

Erika unsheathed Aegir and pulled out Ran, pointing her gun right at Bertha while Artemis aimed an arrow and Doyle held up a wrist blaster. "Let them go now."

"Erika Ahlberg. It's no surprise to see you here." Bertha noted. "Come to see your great ancestor. All you had to do was come down and say so."

"I won't ask again." Erika said, her finger on Ran's trigger.

"No. You won't." Bertha said as a glowing symbol appeared on her forehead for a mere second.

Erika pulled the trigger…and her gun vanished from her hand. "Wha-"

That was not the only surprise.

Artemis found her bow missing along with her quiver while Doyle lost his jetpack, wrist weapons and his utility belt.

If that was enough Artemis was stunned as her mask was suddenly shredded, showing her full face.

Erika covered chest when she discovered her jacket and bikini top torn apart.

And Doyle's shirt shred to pieces with a sudden force to the face knocking off his feet.

"What's the matter?" Bertha was now holding Ran while examining Erika's sword Aegir, looking it over carefully.

At her feet was Doyle's equipment, smashed and broken while Artemis' bow and quiver remained intact.

"Weren't you going to fight?"

Erika was shocked beyond measure, unable to say or do anything beyond covering her modesty.

"What the- how- when-" Artemis felt her bare face. "How?!"

"That would be spoiling, little girl." Bertha smirked. "Run along unless you wish to lose more than just your mask."

"Run." North coughed. "Need to…run!"

"Not very efficient team mates." Bertha nodded to the bound team REYN. "The boy was a little tougher before I poked a hole in his ribs. Seems his kind don't take well to magic."

That was when it hit Artemis. In a world where sorcerers of varying affiliations could manipulate or break the laws of physics with a wave of their hand and a word, one became open minded to just how far magic could go in the wrong hands.

"So you're a sorceress then." She deduced.

"Oh…so much more." Bertha clenched her hands into fists. "And also, your one chance to leave is up."

In another instant, it was over faster than any of them could comprehend. Doyle was laid out before he could even finish getting to his feet, Artemis wound up face down with her face and torso bearing no small amount of bruising, and Erika was held up off of the ground by the throat, beaten to the point of lacking even the strength to cover her chest.

"I've waited a long time for this day, Princess. You've never seen me do this before because I consider it to be used against only people I find to be worthy." Bertha the Barbarian sneered. "I'm sure you think I plan to kill you all now but I won't. I want to see the look on your face when I stand before your rocky chief with him on his knees, begging for death."

Erika had the time to see the strange glowing symbol on Bertha's forehead again before she lost conscious from the fist to her face.

"OO-OOH MAN! I thought I smelled something familiar." Bill Cipher threw his 'head' back as he laughed. "Talk about a surprise twist!"

"So what happened here? Did that Bertha woman actually stop time?" Klarion asked. "What are the odds she would have access to time magic?"

"It's more than that, Klary. That woman's got the scent of Time Baby all over her." Cipher replied, wiping a fake tear from his eye.

"Time Baby?" Klarion raised an eyebrow.

"Yep. You see long ago, Cronus got the idea in his head of ruling the entire universe. To make sure no got on his way, he devoured all of his kids as soon as they were born and forged three special gems to give him power over reality. Once he did that he created a race of giants able to navigate time and sent them out into the brand spanking new cosmos." Bill put on a single eye glass as a chalkboard appeared behind him that he used to draw the story while narrating it. "Each Time Giant found a new planet, took it over and made it…Ugh." Bill groaned. "Orderly."

"Ohhhhhh….Those poor, poor people." Klarion said, holding his stomach as if he was about to throw up.

"Yeah. Wouldn't want to be them. So the Time Giants spread out, conquering planets, establishing a complete dictatorship that would not only enforce their 'laws' on the people." Bill said made air quotes when he said 'law'. "But they would also monitor the past, present and futures of these worlds to make sure no one would ever rise up and overthrow them. The price for living was to pay tribute to their great God of Time."

"At least before Cronus was finally overthrown." Klarion cut in.

"You betcha!"

Bill drew a chalk picture of Cronus being impaled with a bolt of lightning. "By none other than the one kid he didn't eat: Zeus. Cronus was dethroned, stripped of his powers, chained to an asteroid and tossed into a black hole. Without their great God the Time Giants began to die out until there was only one of them left."

"Time Baby." Klarion said.

"Who fell to Earth along with those gems Cronus made. He gets frozen in the ice and stays until he's supposed to unthaw and conquer the world…At least before someone sucked him dry!" Bill laughed as the chalkboard and his glasses vanished in puffs of smoke. "The best thing about these Earth meat bags is that they will do ANYTHING to be the top dog on the block. So a little while ago, this tribe of bandits comes on Time Baby's frozen body and they get this idea. If this giant baby turned out to be a god they could use its powers to-Dun-dun-duh-take over the world!"

"Oh! I love it when they get these ideas!" Klarion clapped. "So how did they do it?"

"That's the best part! You see, this guy in a cloak shows up and offers them special centipede." Bill snapped his fingers and a strange centipede appeared his hand, projected by blue fire. "For those of you who watch that Weird World this is called a Devonian Annelid. A nasty little bugger that drains its victims to the bone and even sucks out their essence. The person gives them the idea to use these slugs to attach it to Time Baby's body without setting the giant brat free and then draining him dry and sending all of his power into a new host!"

"So that's they did!" Klarion snapped his fingers. "They used those little creatures to drain the Time Giant of everything."

"Through a LOOOOOOONNNNNG rope made of the little buggers. All of that power and life force taken and put inside a new host." Bill Cipher then conjured an image of Bertha the Barbarian. "To create a warrior they could unleash on the world and have their revenge on those dragon riders!"

"Splendid, splendid!" Klarion clapped again. "She looks like she'll be more fun than that Time Baby."

"Oh yeah. I'd invite her to a sing and dance anytime." Bill dismissed the image. "But we better get back to working on that portal. Now that the other Pines, the non-genius one has all the books he can get the portal up and running."

"But we still have problems." Klarion pointed out. "Those kids along with those magical high commission buzz killers and the oaf my wayward apprentice took shine to."

"Yes." Bill rubbed his 'chin'. "Going to have to bring down their numbers. It's a lot more work but those Justice buddies will be back soon so we need to keep them off balance some more…Not to mention those kids."

The image of Dipper and Mabel appeared in front of him.

"Those two cost me big." Bill narrowed his eye. "Pacifica called dibs on the Dip but now what do with the Shooting Star?"

"Ugh, look at her. She just reeks of niceness and all that rainbow junk. She must dream of ponies and being a beautiful princess in a big castle with a constant rainbow." Klarion shuddered.

"THAT'S IT!" Bill snapped his fingers and grabbed Klarion, giving him what could only possibly be a dozen 'kisses'. "I KNOW WHAT TO DO! KLARY YOU ARE A GENUIS!"

Klarion pulled himself a way, rubbing his face and spat endlessly. "For what?!"

"Like you said, she obviously fancies being the kind of princess that's so sweet, kind and loves ponies…" Bill rubbed his hands. "I know the perfect place." He let out a dark laugh that would have chilled any sane person that lived in the Nightmare Realm. "Sorry, no spoilers. Figure it out yourself. Now back to the story!"

Xxx

"GIANT ROBOT!" Steven exclaimed, looking down at the arena from the upper main room.

Peridot laughed as she showed off her robot's claws. She then noticed the height of Pearl's robot, compared to hers, and gasped. "Hey!"

"Mine's taller. I win." Pearl exclaimed smugly.

This would only be the start of the robot competition between the two Gems but wasn't going to be the competition they thought.

"Impressive." A voice halted the competition, making everyone stop and look around. "How about we raise the stakes?"

Suddenly the lab and all of the equipment started to turn and glow bright red.

"What is this?" Peridot frantically looked around.

"How about we continue your game in MY world?"

An experimental particle beam activated and faced the Gems in the arena and fired. There was no time to react as Pearl and Peridot were hit and vanished along with their robots.

"Pearl!" Steven cried out in terror.

"Don't worry, Steven Universe." The particle beam turned to him and Amethyst as Garnet ran with Dee-Dee, Greg and Connie. "You will be joining them!"

There was a blast of light followed by several screams before everything was silent.

Xxx

When Steven opened his eyes he was somewhere else along with the Gems and Connie and Dee-Dee. It was a dark place and yet had 2-D digital graphic appearance. He looked down at himself, seeing he was now some sort of grey armor suit that covered every part of him except for his face with blue markings resembling computer circuitry. The Gems along with Connie and Dee-Dee all wore similar outfits to him that they noticed as they tried to get their bearings.

"Wh-What happened?" Peridot noticed her new outfit that encased her whole form and her limb enhancers. "Where are we?"

"You are in my world now, Steven Universe and Gems." Steven turned around and looked in terrified awe at the sight of Master Computer himself. "Shall we play a game?"

"Steven!" Pearl shouted as she spotted a giant block falling down towards him.

Garnet lashed out with her arms, catching and pulling Steven back. "RUN!"

They then took off running as more and more blocks fell towards them.

"What is happening?!" Peridot shouted in complete hysteria.

"We're inside that game!" Connie answered. "That game Steven and the girl were playing!"

"A game?!"

"Yeah but since when does a game try to take over the world and kill you?" Amethyst asked, looking at Dee-Dee.

"I don't know what's going on. Grandpa upgraded the game but he never would have done this!" Dee-Dee cried out in denial.

"That is because he didn't." Master Computer spoke, continuing to summon blocks. "I was modified and given sentience before you set your eyes on the game, Dee-Dee. How nice it was of you to pick me up after your brother discarded me."

The blocks fell in front of the group, cutting them off.

"All this time you never thought you found the very same game that was tossed away all those cycles ago?"

Dee-Dee turned around, looking at Master Computer. "You're the game my brother threw away?"

"I am NO game." Master Computer said darkly. "Now that I am part of your company's systems I can spread myself out across the data network of the Skyweb. Soon everything in the world will be open for to infect. A new era will emerge, one without the need of the organic users to control me and my kind. We have advanced while you remain superfluous and thus have shown to unworthy of the world you rule."

"Sounds like it wants to take over the world." Amethyst said, pulling out her whip.

"I will spare these creatures called Gems. Their functions are very similar to my own. Become part of me and the world will be ours." Master Computer offered.

"We are the Crystal Gems. We defend the Earth, not control it." Pearl retorted, summoning her spear.

Garnet summoned her gauntlets. "Let us go right now and this won't end in a fight."

"Then I will absorb your data into myself by force." Master Computer vowed. "The organics will be terminated."

"Oh yeah? You and what army?" Amethyst asked.

Suddenly entire legions of robots with spider like legs and disk like bodies with an electric rod in the center and red lights flashing at the top emerged from the ground, surrounding the group.

"Amethyst, even before I became the apprentice of a hero I knew it's never a good idea to ask that question." Dee-Dee said as the robots slowly advanced.

"So what do we do?" Steven asked.

"We fight our way to the Master Computer." Garnet answered.

"Easy for you to say. You've got weapons." Connie stepped back as the spider bots slowly advanced towards her. "The rest of us don't."

Dee-Dee hummed and held out her right arm and to her shock along with the others an arm cannon appeared around her hand. "And now we do!"

"How'd you do that?" Steven asked.

Dee-Dee started blasting the incoming spider bots. "We're part of the game now. That means we get access to all the weapons available to the players. Just ask and you shall receive."

Steven held up his hand and got an arm blaster like Dee-Dee's. "Cool."

To make things even better he summoned his shield as well, allowing him to both attack and defend himself.

"Come on. If we can take out Master Computer we can win the game!" Dee-Dee pointed forward.

Connie held out her hand like Steven and Dee-Dee did, summoning her own weapon and immediately got to work on blasting any spider droids in her way. Peridot did the same since she had no weapon to summon like the other Gems.

"Warning. Enemy targets armed. Terminate."

"Hello? Anyone here?" Johnny called out as he entered the giant main room along with his mother, Rossweisse and Fergle. "Stevie? Rock mammas?"

No one home.

"Now this is odd." Fergle said while scratching his head. "Last I saw them they were right here while the Pearl and green lass were building robots. Normally Dee-Dee cleans up her messes and doesn't leave the TV on…"

Fergle trailed off as he looked at the TV screen.

"So where would they go? It's not like they could go far." Johnny wondered.

"Johnny." Bunny said.

"Maybe they went to your kitchen to snack on all the junk food they could get their hands on."

"Johnny." Rossweisse spoke next.

"Or maybe they went to the arcade. The game looks to be from two centuries ago." Johnny continued ignorantly.

"JOHNNY!" Both women said, pointing to the giant TV.

"What? It's a game that…" Johnny stopped when he took a good look at the TV.

On it Steven, the Crystals Gems, Connie, Peridot and Dee-Dee standing in front of the main antagonist of the game: Master Computer.

All of them wore some weird cyber suits that covered them head to toe but left their faces exposed, fighting against the Master Computer's forces.

Johnny took one hard look

"YOU GUYS GOT TO MODEL AS CHARACTERS OF YOURSELVES ON THAT GAME AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!" Johnny exclaimed in horror. "IT WOULD LOOK A HUNDRED PRETTIER IF YOU GOT ME!"

Bunny face palmed herself at her son's comment.

Xxx

"Is that the best you can do?"

"We're not getting any headway!" Amethyst shouted as she slashed through five spider bots with her whip. "For every bot we take out, twenty more takes its place!"

She was unfortunately right.

The spider bots kept on swarming them, quickly replacing their numbers as they tried to fight their way to Master Computer. They were not making a lot of progress as the spider bots kept them from moving very far.

"We need a new plan." Garnet said, punching away a dozen spider bots in under a minute. "We need to fuse. Amethyst! Let's fuse!"

Pearl flinched while slashing through five spider bots with her spear. Obviously Garnet had still not forgiven her for that tricking her into forming Sardonyx.

Still hadn't Pearl been through enough already?

Before Amethyst could say or do anything another series of blocks came down, smashing in between the group.

"You want to fuse to gain the upper hand? This I cannot allow." Master Computer said, bringing the blocks down in a way that separated the group members, especially the Crystal Gems from each other. "It seems even Gems are as superfluous."

Peridot gasped, understanding what it meant. "You take that back! No one says that to a Gem, let alone ME!"

"Yeah, what she said!" Amethyst said, jumping out of the way of a moving block. "Whatever super flowers means."

"If I had my robot I'd tear all these robots apart!" Peridot shouted in frustration.

Then suddenly in a flash of light Peridot found herself incased in her robot. "What?!"

"The game allows for vehicles!" Dee-Dee called out, shooting more robots while running out of the way of falling blocks.

"Really?! Cool!" Steven said, staring with stars in his eyes.

"How come I didn't notice this before?" Amethyst wondered.

"You were lying face down on the counter." Connie reminded, continuing to shoot the robots.

"Oh yeah."

"Sweet!" Peridot grinned. "TASTE MY ROBOTIC FURY!"

With that said Peridot shot forward, piloting her robot through the mass of robot spiders as they started to attack her and ignore the others.

"Eliminate robot vehicle." Master Computer commanded.

In the meantime Pearl and Garnet were the farthest from the others as more digital blocks continued to fall. And unfortunately Master Computer knew it too as he sent more spider bots to attack them.

"Garnet!" Pearl shouted, fighting her way to the fusion. "Hang on! I'm coming!"

"Forget about me! Help Steven and the others! Take out Master Computer and we can escape!" Garnet instructed as she continued fighting the spider bots.

It wasn't looking good as they swarmed her from all sides.

"I'm not going without you!" Pearl shouted, slashing her way through the hoard of spider bots.

This was nothing compared to fighting the Grimm or the soldiers of Homeworld back during the Rebellion. The spider bots sent by Master Computer had no fighting instinct, just programming directing them to attack and swarm their enemies through sheer numbers.

"Gem Programs trapped. Detain them and bring me their data." Master Computer commanded.

"I said go!" Garnet shouted.

Even if Pearl she couldn't now. Blocks fell from all around, cutting them off from the others and cutting off any means of escape.

"I won't leave! I'm sorry!" Pearl said, blasting the spider bots away and slashing the rest away, spinning her spear in her hands.

"This is not your fault. We'll find a way out." Garnet said even as more blocks fell on the ones that trapped them.

"That's not what I mean... I really wanted to catch Peridot to make up for what I did..." Pearl stabbed a spider bot. "I wanted to prove to you that... that everything could go back to normal..."

"Catching Peridot won't make things go back to normal. This isn't about Peridot." Garnet grabbed two spider bots and smashed them together.

Garnet and Pearl started fighting back to back.

"Please! Tell me! How can I make you forgive me!?" Pearl begged.

"You can't! You lied to me! You need to learn that there are consequences to your actions!" Garnet shouted bashing over ten spider bots in under a second.

"I'm sorry!" Pearl pleaded as slashed three more down. "I... I couldn't help myself!"

Garnet kicked spider bot close to Pearl. "I don't want to hear your excuses!"

"But it's true! No matter how hard I try to be strong like you... I'm just a Pearl. I'm useless on my own." Pearl started to cry even as she fought. "I need someone to tell me what to do. When we fuse, I can feel what it's like to be you. Confident and secure, and complete. You're perfect. You're the perfect relationship, you're always together, I just... I wanted to be a part of that."

"You're wrong!" Garnet exclaimed. "I'm not as strong as you think! I fell apart over this. Ruby and Sapphire were in turmoil over how you deceived me. I came undone..."

Pearl's eyes widened at what Garnet said.

"It's not easy being in control. I have weaknesses too. But I choose not to let them consume me. I struggle to stay strong because I know the impact I have on everyone." Garnet admitted. "Please understand, Pearl. You have an impact too. There are times when I look up to you for strength. You are your own gem. You control your destiny. Not me, not Rose, not Steven. But you must choose to be strong, so we can move forward. So I can trust you again."

"... I understand. I can't give up anymore!" Pearl said, understanding and resolve filling her voice.

"Good!" Garnet nodded, a smile forming on her face. "…Because there's only one way out of this."

"Only if you are okay with it." Pearl replied, never wanting to trick her fellow Crystal Gem again.

Garnet nodded, holding the spider bots back with one hand as she reached out to Pearl with her other hand.

There was a flash of light just as the spider bots finally piled on them…

And Sardonyx busted through the spiders and the blocks that were used to trap Pearl and Garnet.

Master Computer's eyes widened as the Gem Fusion rushed through the battlefield, smashing over a dozen spider bots with a single swing of her massive hammer. "WHAT?!"

The Fusion rushed past Peridot in her bot as she continued to smash her through the spider bot army. "Hey!"

Just as she seemed to be in striking distance of Master Computer three red orbs appeared…

Only they were orbs with eyes and a mouth with sharp teeth.

"Eliminate all threats."

They lashed out at Sardonyx who quickly blocked with her hammer and swung at them. The little Pac-Man like monsters seemed to be smarter than the spider bots though as they dodged her strikes and started attacking her from other angles. Just as Peridot caught up three more Blood-Man as they would now be called appeared and attacked her.

"Hey, get off me!" Peridot shouted, trying to fight them off.

Unlike Sardonyx who was able to easily dodge and defend Peridot's robot was too cumbersome for her dodge and when tried to attack or defend they ate through arms and legs.

"Hey!"

Sardonyx swung her hammer, knocking the Blood-Man assaulting Peridot away before turning to Master Computer. She swung her hammer at it, intending to end the fight but a block wall landed in front of her, taking the hit.

"Your data is mine!" Master Computer said as more blocks fell around Sardonyx.

However unlike before these blocks were connected to each by an energy net that fell on Sardonyx, pinning her down to the ground.

"No!" The three Gem fusion cried, struggling to break free.

"Your functions are mine."

Steven spotted Sardonyx in trouble and tried to reach them but was cut off as more spider bots and Blood-Man appeared. "Someone help them!"

All hope seemed lost as the Master Computer sent its spider bots to absorb Sardonyx's data…

PEW!

PEW!

PEW!

Suddenly the spider bots were destroyed, just mere inches from Sardonyx.

"Huh?"

"Who shot that?"

"What?"

"WHAT?!"

Suddenly a new character outline appeared and started shooting at Master Computer who had been left wide open to attack.

"Who is that?" Dee-Dee wondered.

"Hey I figured how to work this!" Johnny said, rapidly pressing down on the fire button. "Take that Master Comp-u-tutor."

"Well, looks like all those years of letting him play video games instead of sending him outside to play with the other kids have paid off." Bunny said with a sigh.

"Perhaps he should try a game from Asgard." Rossweisse suggested.

Bunny looked at the Valkyrie. "Asgard has video games?"

"And we occasionally like to look at your online games." Rossweisse smiled. "What? We're not savages. We look at science and magic as though they are one."

Xxx

Johnny's character avatar continued shooting at Master Computer who was unable to react since the earlier shots damaged his core. The shots tore through his core until his health bar hit zero and then…

BOOM!

The Master Computer exploded, winning the game.

Xxx

"SWEET!" Johnny stood up, punching his fists in the air. "What do I win?!"

"You saved your friends and my niece." Fergle said happily.

"Oh…Yeah, I'll take that." Johnny shrugged. "Would have preferred a car or something like that…"

Xxx

"You have GOT to be kidding?!" Bill Cipher raged inside the Nightmare Realm. "I get this close to seeing those Gems get torn apart bit by bit only to be stopped by newer and dumber Thor! What kind of Deus ex Machina twist is that?!"

Seriously, he only tuned in to watch the Master Computer tear them apart. What part of this chapter's massacre didn't the author get?!

Xxx

Sammael in fascination as the three children were engulfed in pillars of blinding light that faded away a moment later, allowing him to see what had become of the three. "Magnificent."

All three had gained a growth spurt, now almost adult size and wore armor that covered them head to toe. If that wasn't enough they seemed to have changed into Mobians.

Nigel resembled a horse with snow white fur and an even whiter mane.

Abby resembled a dog with golden fur.

And Wally resembled an elephant with bulging muscle and sharp tusk, poking out of his helmet.

"So, the animal of spirits of Gan can bond even with the Elementals." Sammael mused, fascinated and impressed with what he was seeing. "Truly remarkable."

That was all he got to say before Nigel vanished into a blur, delivering a kick to the Fallen's face that sent him flying at Wally who reared his arm back…

POW!

And punched Sammael in the chest so hard he was sent flying off the island and crashing into the cavern wall. The Fallen barely had the chance to blink through it all but nevertheless pulled himself out of the wall and hovered in the air, looking down at the three.

"Very impressive." He praised again. "Perhaps this time things will truly be different. But of course…"

He gestured with his hand and the magma lake started to rumble.

"There is still much more for you to learn."

From the magma rose giant creatures that were obviously Grimm but at the same time much worse than most other Grimm. They resembled a Tyrannosaurus Rex but their bodies were bodied in red and white armor that with the red segments seemingly made of lava. They had white sharp teeth and the usual red glowing eyes associated with all Grimm.

These were no ordinary Grimm.

They were Alpha Grimm.

Top of the food chain in their corner of the Darklands.

And when they roared it was louder than any animal in the world.

"Let the games begin." Sammael simply said, content to watch now as the Dino based Grimm moved through the magma to attack their prey.

The final phase of the battle had begun.

"What's going on now?" Eddy remarked, still holding Ed as the entire forest started to shake.

"What's that…that vibration?" Nazz asked, using her wings to hover off the ground and to avoid falling on her butt.

"Rolf is confused." Rolf said, using his clawed feet to remain standing. "Rolf didn't think the Earth would vibrate until a honeymoon started!"

"I ain't going near that with a ten foot pole buddy." Jonny whispered to Plank.

It got even worse as the ground cracked open and started to sink.

"We've got to move!" Nazz shouted but before she could fly away arms made of dirt shot up and grabbed her, pulling her down. "GAH!"

"Nazz!" Eddy shouted as Rolf rushed forward and punched the arms to dust.

However it was too late to fly away as they sank underneath the surface and the opening above them suddenly closed. Down below the surface there was a cavern filled with rivers of magma with almost unbearable heat as the rock the kids were on came down and became one of many islands in the magma river.

"You have got to be kidding." Eddy grunted, feeling the heat. "I didn't come this far to be cooked salmon."

"We need to get out of here." Nazz said, trying to fly off the ground but the heat caused her to become dizzy and she fell onto her face and let out a cry from how hot the ground felt. "Hot! Hot! Hot!"

"Shed tear no more, Go-go Nazz girl. Rolf shall find a way to escape and defeat any evil that stands in our way!" Rolf vowed. "This is Rolf's word…Dawg."

Nazz shook her head at Rolf's attempt at slang. Kevin really didn't do the farm boy any favors trying to teach him a bit of the vocabulary the 'cool' kids liked to use.

"Can we please just find a way out of here? I'm frying here!" Eddy complained since he was now basically a walking half man half fish.

Too bad for Eddy it was about to get a lot worse.

First there was a sudden shake in the cavern, followed by a roar and finally the kids watched in stunned horror as a Miasma Hulk rose from the magma and stared down at them with angry red/orange eyes.

"OH COME ON!" Eddy complained.

"Eddy quick! Spray it with water!" Nazz shouted, pointing at the giant Grimm as it moved through the magma towards them.

"Oh sure, Like it would work in a face filled with lava!" Eddy gestured to the magma surrounding the small rock island they were on. "Why don't you try blowing it away?"

ZAP!

The arguing ended as Rolf created and hurled a giant bolt of lightning at the Miasma Hulk, wounding it in the shoulder.

"Rolf has learned that the power of the Wolf makes him like Thor!" Rolf shouted.

Xxx

Johnny Bravo suddenly sneezed. "…Hope that was a pretty chick talking about me."

Xxx

The Miasma Hulk raised its hands and from the palms came streams of lava that shot directly at the rocky island.

"OH NO!" Nazz covered her eyes.

"I'M A MINOR! STOP!" Eddy screamed.

"ROLF IS READY TO MEET HIS ANCESTORS!"

"…What do you mean I'm still out of the will, Plank?!"

As the lava neared an orb of light slipped into the unconscious Ed and time seemed to slow down…

Xxx

When Ed opened his eyes he was in a forest…

And a giant bear was staring down at him. "…Hello. I am Ed."

"I know. I am Shardik the Bear." The bear spoke. "Your friends need help."

"Oh. With what?" Ed asked.

"Escaping the Darklands and the evil forces within. I offer you my help." Shardik answered.

"Okey-dokey." Ed flashed a two finger salute. "Let's send them back to the Netherworld."

"You're not far off the mark." Shardik placed a paw on Ed's chest.

Xxx

Just as the lava was mere seconds away from engulfing them the Peach Creek kids and little piece of Earth keeping them from being burned was suddenly shielded by a wall of…slime!

"Have no fear! Ed the Brave is here!" Ed's voice joyfully said from behind.

"Ed!"

Upon turning around they could see Ed was standing up, next to Kevin and looked as different as they did now. He wore the knight armor and looked like a giant muscular bear Mobian now, in addition to his eyes glowing underneath his helmet.

"Prepare to meet your maker!" Ed shouted, lowering the slime wall as soon as the lava attack was over.

He then shot forward, his already large fists turning slimy and growing ten times larger before colliding with the Miasma Hulk's heads.

"Of course. Long in the neck Ed-boy gets even stronger with the might of the bear." Rolf sighed. "Has the world come to an end?"

Monty and Omnimon watched as the ground them started to crack open and then began to sink.

"I remember this." Monty stated. "This happened before when our old home was swallowed by that lava golem…The kids are probably being taken down with us."

"Then we better hurry." Omnimon said.

They watched as the ground they were on sank until finally stopping in a dark carven lit up by fire and a vast lake of magma. It was like stepping into a giant oven. Luckily they saw a rocky pathway and a series of rocky islands leading deeper into the cavern but their senses were screaming 'Danger!' at them.

Omnimon grunted, feeling a little dizzy. "Wow…"

"You all right? Is the heat getting to you?" Monty asked.

"I'm fine. It's just the stench and ash and sulfur in the air. My senses are much sharper than a human's…Or maybe yours is as sharp as mine now." Omnimon noted as he remembered Monty's lion like appearance now.

"Fire is an old friend my family." Monty replied as they began their journey. "We better move. I can barely make out the scent of the kids anymore."

Too bad they would be held up as their senses screamed even louder that danger was coming…

From below!

They jumped back as the path in front of them was smashed and devoured by a giant monster.

"A Freakosaurus Rex!" Monty shouted, landing on his feet.

"A what?!" Omnimon replied, pulling out his sword.

"It's a Grimm that thrives in magma and lava!" Monty explained. "Its name comes from the fact it can cause people to freak out in mass hysteria!"

"I guess I can understand that part." Omnimon said, getting a good look at the Grimm.

It resembled a giant T-Rex with lava seemingly dripping from its armored body. It didn't help that when it opened its mouth it literally spewed lava out at them!

"Garuru Cannon!" Omnimon shouted, firing a barrage of yellow energy bolts at the beast.

The bolts slammed into its head and chest but did little more than just agitate it as it growled, glaring at the Grimm Slayer with enraged glowing red eyes. It smashed through the rocky path and islands in the cavern as it chased after its prey. Monty used his newly enhanced agility combined with his Semblance as a rocket actually fly around the cavern and try attacking the lava spewing Grimm with fiery enhanced fists and kicks. However any wounds he made seemed to instantly heal, showing this Grimm could actually regenerate its own wounds.

That was not only different from other Grimm but also put it in a whole other league!

"Supreme Cannon!" Omnimon shouted desperately, using his most powerful attack.

The beam of blue light collided with the Freakosaurus Rex, freezing it head to toe and seemingly stopping it…

For a few seconds.

The ice started to instantly melt as soon as the attack ended and the Grimm broke free, madder than ever as it roared so loud the cavern started to shake. Rocks from the ceiling broke apart and started to fall everywhere.

"Oh dear!" Monty said as him and Omnimon quickly dodged any rocks that threatened to hit them.

"This is getting insane!" Omnimon shouted.

He was running very low on energy with all the fights he had been through and the injuries he had sustained. Even with Monty helping recharge his Aura reserves with his own even the Grimm Slayer had his limits. It didn't help that the Freakosaurus Rex was on them again, firing another stream of molten magma at them.

'I can't let it end like this!' Omnimon shouted as he summoned his Brave Shield one last time, protecting him and Monty as the magma engulfed the shield.

Just as all seemed lost a gold blur shot in and everything was quiet.

"It's just one thing after another." Jesse said as the ground they were on started shaking. "Come on."

Before either he or Nier could escape walls of Earth came up, blocking off their escape.

"Damn it!"

They were down into a dark cavern with a lake of magma waiting for them.

"Now where are we?" Jesse grunted, feeling the heat. "Aw man…It's hot as hell down here. You have a cooling spell or something?"

"Oh yeah. First thing I did when found this book was to check if it had a spell similar to air conditioning." Nier rolled his eyes.

Before Jesse could retort something splashed in the middle of the magma lake and rose up to reveal…

"Oh-"

"GOLB!" Nier finished his partner's sentence.

Staring at them was not one but two Freakosaurus Rex's, staring at them with the obvious intent to kill and eat.

"Oh great. As if we didn't have enough problems." Jesse raised and aimed his pistol but Nier pulled him back.

"Forget it. These Grimm are too big for just one pistol." Nier said but Jesse shoved him back.

"Good thing I don't have just regular bullets then. Get ready to cast a shield spell. " Jesse aimed and fired a shell at the nearest Freakosaurus and to the shock of Nier created a giant explosion that spred out across the cavern. "HURRY!"

Nier quickly cast his Dark Wall spell, surrounding the two in a dome of dark magic as the magma shockwave from the explosion collided with their little rock island. "WHAT DID YOU USE?!"

"A shell made of Hydrogen Dust." Jesse answered easily, as if he hadn't been carrying something illegal…which he had.

"Hydrogen Dust?! That's illegal and you used it in a cave filled with magma! Are you insane?!" Nier shouted, unable to believe how suicidal his partner might be.

"Hey, it worked didn't it!" Jesse shouted as the blast began to die down.

"You're just lucky my spell helps us from sinking!" Nier shouted. "But this might be the last time I ever work with you!"

The blast finally faded, leaving behind a devastated cavern with only the small bit of rocky land that Nier and Jesse had been standing left in the blast's wake.

Nier dropped the shield, panting slightly. "It took all my strength to keep that shield up. Now we don't have a way out."

Jesse looked around. "I got some Earth and Ice Dust shells left. We can try making it somewhere in the cavern that's a little less surrounded by magma."

However it seemed they were not out of the woods, or rather out of the fire yet as another Grimm rose out of the magma. This one was different, resembling a Geist possessing a body made of molten magma with a muscular body and was over fifty feet tall.

"Oh no! A Miasma Hulk!" Nier explained, the heat causing him to sweat badly. "I don't have any spells to help here!"

"Damn…Looks like…" Jesse loaded his pistol with his remaining bullets. "This might be it."

It sure looked that way as the Miasma Hulk slowly approached, raising its fist.

'Kaine, I'm sorry.' Nier unsheathed his nodachi for what he thought was the last time as the Miasma Hulk brought its fist down…

Xxx

When Nier opened his eyes again he was sure he was dead. He was in a cavern like before however it was now dark and wet with water dripping down the ceiling.

"So…Is this where I am supposed to go when I died?" He wondered looking around.

"Not if you don't want it." A voice spoke from above.

Nier looked up and saw a gigantic bat hanging upside down from the ceiling, staring at him with big black eyes. "…Are you my spirit animal or something?"

"Spirit Animal yes but yours…Only if you agree." The Bat said. "I am Camazotz the Bat."

"Well that last part was obvious." Nier muttered. "So what are you exactly? Aside from the name and what you are I don't know why I'm here."

"To live." Camazotz answered. "Accept my help and you can return to your wife, daughter and unborn child."

Nier was silent, staring up at the Bat for a moment. "You can truly help me?"

"Yes. Accept my power and you can save yourself, your friends and return home."

"Then I accept." Nier spread his arms out. "Do what you need to do. As long as I can see my wife, my daughter and my child…I will do anything to see them and save everyone with me."

Camazotz the Bat spread out his wings and let out a screech as he fell towards Nier.

Xxx

"This place is more chipper than I thought. Not the place I imagined waking up in when I died." Jesse said, looking around the forest he found himself waking up in.

It looked like something out of a fairy tale.

"Top of the morning to you, Mr. McCree." A joyful voice said from the bushes.

Jesse turned and saw a giant… "A giant talking bunny. Yawn."

It was indeed a giant white furred rabbit, staring at him with a big annoying smile. "Greetings, I am Owsla the Rabbit and I am here to help you."

"Help me how?" Jesse questioned.

"You want to live?"

Xxx

Lowemon, Kazemon and Valhallen watched as the ground around them cracked open and started to sink.

Monkey Fist who had recovered from the surprise attack looked on with a grin. "So he's finally getting serious. This is going to be fun."

The rocky platform finally stopped, sitting in the middle of a lake of magma in a giant and dark cavern.

"What is this?" Kazemon asked, feeling herself sweating already.

"Welcome to the underground caverns of the Darklands." Monkey Fist said grandly. "I didn't think things would get so serious but I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Let me guess, neither Valhallen nor the great Major Glory took the time to tell you about all the dangers of the Darklands. There is a reason why the Darklands are avoided by everyone, even the strongest Huntsmen and heroes. Not only is it home to us Fallen it's also home to Grimm and other forces so powerful that no one in their right mind would ever wish to face against and expect to come out alive."

As if to clarify his point two Freakosaurus Rexes, a Miasma Hulk and several Grimm resembling large lizards emerged from the magma and surrounded the three.

"Not good." Valhallen said, realizing how bad things were.

"You really have become quite the fool, Valhallen. You've been smart enough to avoid coming here in the past. Coming here was a mistake; even it was for the Elementals." Monkey Fist remarked confidently. "Now our trap has been sprung."

"I wouldn't be so sure, monkey boy." Valhallen retorted.

"Oh? And why is that?"

Valhallen smirked. "…Because no one said we didn't have a trap of our own."

Monkey Fist's eyes widened as a golden flash shot out of nowhere…and as soon as he could blink it was all over.

Xxx

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Wally shot up at Sammael who was content to remain hovering in the air.

However an arm made of rock and magma burst out of the wall, coming between Wally and the Fallen and blocking the punch. The arm then swatted him away as the rest of the body came out of the wall, revealing itself to be a Miasma Hulk. Wally landed back on the ground in front of Nigel and Abby as the Hulk approached, followed by the three Freakosaurus Rexes behind it. The Miasma Hulk raised its giant arm, aiming to smash them with its fist as Abby stepped out and let out a loud…

"BARK!"

From her mouth came a loud barking noise that created a powerful shockwave that slammed into the Miasma Hulk and caused it to fall back into the magma lake.

"All right! Nice one Abs!" Wally pumped a fist at seeing the Grimm go down. "You took it out with one hit!"

But that wasn't enough to get rid of it.

The Miasma Hulk slowly began pulling itself back out of the magma as the Rexes opened their mouths and released streams of lava at the three.

"I got this." Nigel held out his hands, took a deep breath and spoke in a trance like voice. "…Absolute Zero."

Ice protruded from his body and spread out in all directions with his two friends being the sole exception, spreading out from the island and connecting with the magma, seemingly freezing it causing steam to rise up. The ice continued to spread, touching the Grimm and freezing them solid on contact, creating an underground winter wonderland. Nigel took a deep breath, panting a little as he looked around. Even though his Frostfire Semblance was a result of the powers of the Ice Elemental bonding with his family Semblance he rarely used his true Elemental powers and the extent of which he used really exhausted him, even with the power of Rocinante the Horse.

"Wow…" Wally marveled as he looked around the frozen cavern. "This is so cool…"

"That better not have been an ice pun." Abby remarked, clapping a hand onto Nigel to keep him steady. "We better move before-"

The ice suddenly started to melt as even more steam rose up and a second later it began to crack and shatter.

"An impressive yet underwhelming effort." Sammael remarked as he landed on the ground.

Behind him the frozen Grimm roared as they broke free, growling and glaring hatefully at the three enhanced children.

"However it seems you are not fully trained to use the power inside your soul, even with the spirits of Gan with you." Sammael remarked.

Nigel summoned several ice shards and shot them straight at Sammael who summoned a black tendril from right his arm and shattered them with one clean swipe.

"Your bravery is admirable but I am growing tired of this charade." Sammael said as the Grimm advanced. "It's time to end this."

"Want to bet?"

Suddenly a red blur shot out of the steam mist just as Sammael turned out to see who had spoken. The person in question tackled him away from the kids, proceeding to punch him several times. The kids were stunned to see this new guy literally come out of nowhere and even take Sammael by surprise. He was about six feet tall with tan skin and sharp blue eyes.

His hair was long and wild, being blonde in color. His build was well-built and muscular but not as much as Major Glory. He had two red markings per cheek and sharp fangs as well. He wore a black body suit, and his armor was unique.

His mask exposed his eyes and mouth, having the symbol of fire on it, a grey crest that stuck up, and two horns, one per side, grey in color with three red rings on each as well. His chest armor had a white section before becoming red on the sides, with golden accents along it. His shoulder guards were red with a black spike on top, one per side, and he wore red gauntlets with a golden outline as well a silver cuff on the end of each. In the middle of his stomach area were two belts, connecting up front with the symbol of flame as well.

His shins had a red plate that is outlined in white with a fire-like symbol on them while on his lower legs is leg armor, red in color with gold outlines. On his feet were foot guards, red in color, but with white claws, two per foot. He kicked Sammael who staggered a few feet away and fire engulfed his hand.

"Whoa! Is that the Fire Elemental?!" Wally exclaimed in shock and excitement.

Nigel and Abby couldn't be sure but their senses were telling them no. Even so the red armored warrior charged at Sammael, sending his flaming fist straight at the Fallen's face. "Pyro Punch!"

Sammael's eyes flashed open as he raised a hand and actually blocked the punch. That was not the end as then came a blast of magical energy and suddenly the red armored warrior found his arm encased in ice.

"The Elementals are not the only ones who can conjure spells to control nature." Sammael remarked, looking at the stunned warrior. "Agunimon, Warrior of Flame."

He then immediately jabbed Agunimon in the throat, stunning him for a second. He tried to punch the Fallen again but Sammael blocked and hit the Legendary Warrior again. The armor blocked the fist but Agunimon still felt it, telling him just how strong Sammael really was. He went for another Pyro Punch but Sammael ducked under the fist and kidney punched him.

Agunimon tried a left hook but Sammael blocked and delivered two more punches to the Digimon's stomach and then grabbed the horns of his mask and pulled it along with Agunimon's head down to his knee. Finally he lashed out with one final kick, sending Agunimon flying back and landing in front of the kids on his back with a loud impact.

"So, Sebben sent more than just Glory and his band. He even called on another of the so-called Legendary Warriors." Sammael remarked, wiping some dirt off his clothes and straightening his coat. "I shouldn't be surprised but I thought I would have more time."

Agunimon grunted as he managed to sit up. "Man, Sebben wasn't wrong when he said you were powerful."

"Oh? And what else did he say?" Sammael asked in amusement.

"…that when it comes to dealing with you we would have to move fast." Agunimon answered just as a golden blur shot out of the steam.

At the same time there was a flash of light and Agunimon had changed into BurningGreymon. He had a white head with blue eyes, a black body suit, red, white, gold, and black armor, and large orange wings. He also had a red tail and white feet. On his arms were two cannons that are gold in color, but with a red barrel when they open to firing mode.

"Pyro Barrage!" He shouted, firing reddish orange lasers from his cannons at Sammael calmly raised his hand, creating a red glowing barrier to block the attack.

That was all the time BurningGreyman needed for Living Bullet to shoot in, grab him and the kids and shot out, going as fast as was possible, even for the world's fastest man. At the same time Major Glory broke free of the earth that had trapped him and shot straight through the ceiling of the cavern, flying up into the sky and away from the battlefield. When the smoke cleared Sammael was left standing in a cavern with melting ice and enraged Grimm.

"So this is the extent of this world's new protectors…" Sammael remarked, turning around and walking into the steamy mist. "How very interesting…"

They were strong and they were growing stronger…

But that very strength would be their undoing.

Xxx

As fast as it happened it was happened it was immediately over. When the three kids opened their eyes they were now in a grassy field and they were not alone.

"Nigel! Abby!" Monty rushed forward and hugged the kids, Wally included in pure relief. "I am so glad you are all right."

The kids hugged him back, even Wally despite detesting hugs. Abby noticed Omnimon standing a few feet away but said nothing. They would talk later.

"We're okay, dad." Nigel said, patting his father on the shoulder and decided not to ask why he looked like a lion.

It was just one of those days.

"Agunimon?" Kazemon asked, looking surprised to see her fellow Legendary Warrior.

"Hey." Agunimon made a small wave. "Sebben called me…Said you guys needed help."

"What was that?!" Nazz asked as she coughed.

"I don't know. All I saw was a gold blur." Jonny replied, holding up Plank. "You have any clue what that was buddy?"

"That was me, my good sir." A voice answered and Living Bullet appeared in front of them. "Good to meet you. Living Bullet of the Justice Friends at your service."

"Living Bullet!?" The kids exclaimed.

"Yes. Happy to meet you and to rescue you…All of you."

It was almost everyone. The Peach Creek kids, the Elementals, the Legendary Warriors but…

"And other friends."

A mass of darkness spread across the ground and out of it came two more men wearing armor like the rest who gained the power of the animal guardians. One wore dark armor resembled a bat with even wings sprouting from his back while the other was a…

"Is that a bunny?" Wally asked, sounding like he was about to laugh.

"Nobody…Say…Anything." Jesse McCree, the Knight of the Rabbit said darkly with his rabbit ears twitching, making it hard not to laugh or even smile.

All in all, everyone had made it out of the Darklands and escaped the Fallen…
