Opening File: Anastasia Bray

Dr. Anastasia Bray is a Huntress and adopted daughter of Clovis Bray II. Free-spirited and adventurous with a sarcastic sense of humor, Ana Bray is determined to seek the answers regarding her past and her birth parents who died when she was an infant. Though Clovis Bray became her new father she never liked his approach to maintaining the Bray Corporation, especially the unethical decisions he made such as forcing Project YoRHa to remain as a black ops division with no rights in direct defiance to the will left behind by Dr. Zinnia and her adopted grandfather the original Clovis Bray. After the defeat of Crom Cruach the secrets of Project YoRHa and various other dark dealings her father had been involved in were brought to light by an unknown source believed to have accessed Bray's personal files through a backdoor that Bray Corporation programmers are searching for even now.

In light of Clovis Bray being arrested Anastasia was left to take charge much to her chagrin. She has held her father and his company in contempt for what happened to her adopted sister and knows they only want her in charge to maintain connections with their business partners and gain new connections with the ones she has gained as a Huntress and as a psychologist since she has friends in high places like Phil Ken Sebben. Despite her reluctance she accepted, seeing this as a chance to reform the Bray Corporation.

Opening File: Rasputin

Rasputin was designed and built by the Clovis Bray Exoscience Corporation, one of the world's greatest collections of scientists and engineers. He was designed to foresee potential threats to human civilization and to leverage military assets for its protection if the need arose. Dr. Anastasia Bray was responsible for teaching Rasputin language, which she accomplished by uploading a massive compilation of human works of literature into his network. In the 21st century he was made for the Russian military Ana Bray helped in his creation by using her psycholinguistic skills to teach him language and independent thought.

Rather than provide him with rigid programming that could only solve specific problems, she provided access to works of humanities—including literature, philosophy, and music—in order to develop nuance in his language, morality, and emotion. Rasputin sends out satellites called Warsats (War Satellites) to form a communication and defense network. The Warsats possess long range scanners to detect anything on approach, weapons, kinetic shields to protect themselves from asteroids, and cloaking tech to hide them. Ana also remembered to teach him the concept of trust, believing this would help it develop along a better path than what her father had in mind.

In an effort to make sure he remained out of reach from the Fallen and other threats Clovis Bray II and developed a plan to hide Rasputin away from Earth. Unbeknownst to his adopted daughter Clovis had already begun developing warp drives (by use of alien technology that he managed to get from Area 49-B) for his future jumpships when Rasputin was being developed. When he got back the SIVA nanites that Robotnik stole he sent them into space to reach the solar system Epsilon Eridani more precise it's second planet. The SIVA nanites hit their intended target of the planet triggering their activation using themselves and any surrounding material to create a base to house Rasputin.

"Progress and evolution are the concepts in which change is ever present in our everyday lives. You buy a laptop that works for about five years and odds something newer and better will be rolling off the factory line with a very hefty price but they know you'll buy it anyways because you have to have it. From the first plane the Wright Brothers made comes the airplanes we use for aerial transportation and after that comes giant spaceships cruising amongst the stars." TOM chuckled as the file closed. "There is no stopping change. It's in our blood, our circuits, our souls or CPUs. The only question is how does change affect the rest of us? Good, bad or in between, we must always watch and be careful of how one simple change can either do us great good or blow up in our collective faces."

"Rasputin was to be installed off-planet?"

"Yes, Miss Bray. In the Epsilon Eridani system." The technician nodded, holding the report out to Anastasia Bray, the new CEO of the Bray Corporation. "The SIVA nanites were programmed to construct a base where Rasputin would launch Warsats across Epsilon Eridani and the Sol System."

"He did all of this right after getting those nanites back from Robotnik and through the Crom crises?" Ana asked, looking over the report.

"It was made high priority. With Rasputin monitoring the situation safe from the base the Warsats could coordinate with Project YoRHa's androids for a better fighting force against the Grimm and those demons." The technician explained. "Of course now they might not be possible."

Ana frowned. "Are you complaining about the will being released?"

"No, ma'am." Came the right answer quickly.

"Good. That will should have been released years ago." Ana placed the report down her desk. "My father along with many of his partners and even the board members skirted around the law for years, exploiting YoRHa and other people for their own benefit no matter what they would say. I don't plan on making the same mistakes they made."

Indeed she did not.

Much to the annoyance of the board members Ana had terminated Bray Corporation's partnerships with the Grey Agency, P.O.I.N.T. and other companies she disliked on principal. When the board tried intimidating her into seeing things their way she used her Huntress training and keen mind to expose tax frauds, bribery, blackmail and even ties to terrorists, allowing her to take full control of the corporation and sent a clear message to the higher ups that Ana Bray was not the submissive child they wanted her to be. With the board members intimidated into keeping their mouths shut and their heads down Ana was free to remake the corporation back into what it was when her grandfather made it.

"Open direct line to Sebben." She told her desk computer, watching as Sebben appeared on the screen a second later. "Hello, Mr. Sebben."

"Miss Bray." Sebben greeted back with a small smile. "You called a lot sooner than I expected. I thought I wouldn't be hearing from you for some time."

"So did I but I've got news for you." Ana replied. "Rasputin has been launched off world."

Sebben raised an eyebrow. "When did this happen?"

"During the Crom crises. My father sent Project YoRHa to you as help but ordered Rasputin's launch as a safety measure. Only the board knew of this." Ana answered.

"He was trying to set up his network while everyone was focused on the current threat. We still don't know how his files on YoRHa became public but I suspect it was done through an old friend: Dr. Kriegar."

"The same Kriegar who crippled the Nazis in the last world war through the cybernetic division he set up and sabotaged?" Ana recalled. "I heard about the cloning program and how the Grey Agency recruited him. Do you think…?"

"It stands to reason that the original Kriegar might have left a backdoor for his successors to access. We don't know what happened to all the clones but if one was found by Sammael…" Sebben trailed off but both understood. "If Kriegar could access the Grey Agency's files and your father's he could know about Rasputin as well."

"Then it's all the more reason I have to go. A small cruiser was constructed for interspace travel, meant to house over three hundred scientists, soldiers, cosmonauts and Hunters. I plan on going with them to reach Episilon Eridani and check on Rasputin myself at the base that has been set up. It's called the Reach." Ana explained.

"What about the Bray Corporation? You just took over." Sebben pointed out.

"Don't worry. The board members know better than try and make decisions behind my back. I have enough on them to have them thrown into the same cell as my father if they somehow avoid the death sentence." Ana replied with a small smile. "Not even they would be stupid enough to try getting rid of me so soon when I've blown the whistle on their dealings. They would be the prime suspects."

"Still you should be careful, Ana. Given the ease of how your father's files were made public I wouldn't put it past Kriegar to have left a backdoor." Sebben pointed out. "We're not even sure if he was near or even in the middle of the battle here in GrimmFall when the androids were helping in the defense."

"Understood, Sebben." Ana nodded. "I don't plan on making the same mistakes as my father. People expected me to be the same as him or some kid to push around. They're going to find out the hard way who I am."

"Ana who?"

"Anastasia Bray." Kiva answered, sharing a drink with Jamie and Coop down in Coop's basement. "I thought the name Bray was familiar and when I looked at my old history logs I found out why. Anastasia Bray took over after her father was arrested, just like what happened just now."

"So what?" Jamie asked. "You're in the past so it can't be that surprising."

"No but what is important is the role Ana Bray will play in establishing a united Earth military in the future." Kiva answered, bringing up a picture of Ana Bray and another woman. "This is her adopted sister, Elsie Bray. Ana took over the company but Elsie developed a jump ship called Eon Trespass that had time travel capabilities but could only go one hundred years in the future and the project was shut down because of how dangerous time travel could be."

"Like bringing a race of intergalactic conquerors back in time to twenty first century Earth along with a giant robot?" Jamie asked, sardonically smiling.

"Hey, I got the giant robot so time travel can't be that bad." Coop protested.

"Look, we have a giant robot but without a working time drive. If we can convince Miss Bray to let me look at the Eon Trespass I could use what I know of the time drive that came with Megas to improve that one so we can send Megas back to the future to stop us from losing the war with the Glorft." Kiva explained.

"You want us to go all the way to Russia to see this woman? Why would she help us?" Jamie asked skeptically.

"I'll think of a way to convince her but this might be the best way to fix the time unit." Kiva said before looking to Coop. "I really need this, Coop. I can't fix the time drive with what we have now and if we can fix it we can stop the Glorft once and for all."

Coop rubbed the back of his head. "Okay, I get that it's important, Kiva. I really do. So I guess we'll go see this Ana woman and see if she can help us."

"Thanks Coop." Kiva smiled gratefully.

"Let's hope we don't wreck her home like we do everywhere else." Jamie sighed.

"Let's just fine tune Megas first. I still haven't fixed the scratches on the pain job left by that giant snake."

Hey Mom

If you are reading this letter than our plan worked and you are still alive. Hopefully Grandma is too, even if she always liked whacking me on the head with her cane. It's a long story but I'll try to explain as best as I can. Starting off with that contest we came here for…It was a lie.

All of it was just one big lie set up by a demon triangle; I am not lying or being insane when I write this down. Turns out the Gravity Falls is ground zero for weird sci-fi/horror stuff with ghost, demons and monster lurking in every corner. How do I know? Because said triangle took over my friend's body, nearly killed his sister and me with it.

If it wasn't for Nyx I would likely still be floating around in the void. Turns out Nyx has been neck deep in the crazy stuff going on around here since she was little and forced to be the student of a demon to learn chaos magic. She saved me and got into trouble for it. They were afraid we'd tell everyone about what they were planning so they locked us in another place.

A dimension with nothing pillows.

We've been here a long time and we've tried to get back but they want us here until we die and Nyx…When she dies she turns into a demon. We've tried so hard to get out and…Well, during that time someone else came along.

Our daughter, your granddaughter: Sky Entrapta Gilligan.

I know it sounds hard to believe but she is our daughter. We spent years here and over that time as we grew, we grew closer and…Well, things just took off from there. Nyx was happy…After she broke my hand for not finding a way to make pain relief while giving birth.

Still it was all worth it at the end. When I first held her in my arms…I was shaking so hard I was terrified she was going to slip through my arms. I told you when I was little I wanted to be an inventor like Dad, design and create things that could change the world…And yet when I saw this small, living breathing creature in my arms…All I could think that she was my greatest creation.

I hope you get this message and I hope you can keep her safe. She needs family to keep her safe. If you find her and read this message all I can say now is how sorry I am for worrying you, I love you and please get Sky out of Gravity Falls.

Get her far away from Gravity Falls before Bill Cipher, Klarion or anyone else come after her.

Your loving son:
Hoagie Gilligan Jr.

When she finally woke up she found herself on a soft bed with a warm blanked covering her up to her head. She slowly sat up, taking in her surroundings.

"You're awake."

She looked over to see a woman sitting next to the bed, looking at her with a confused, saddened and hopeful look on her face. "Do you know who I am?"

"You're…" The girl hesitated but took a deep breath. "Daddy said you were my grandmother."

"And you…" Betty Gilligan held out a picture with a note on the back. "Are my granddaughter."

Sky sat up, straightening herself up but looked really shy right now. After all she hadn't expected to actually meet anyone from her family outside of her parents.

They must have done something to bring her here while she was asleep.

"I just have one question." Betty said, sitting down in front of Sky and looked very afraid. "Can you please tell me about my son?"

Sky stared in surprise but upon seeing the tearful look on her grandmother she nodded, her eyes becoming a little watery as well. "All right."

They were scared.

They were emotionally distraught and wounded.

But together they might be able to help each other heal.

"Oh look! They're about to talk about their feelings!" Bill Cipher drawled, wiping an imaginary tear from his eye. "And who wants to stick around and watch that?"

"Tell me about it." Klarion leaned back on the couch he made, pulling a pillow over his face. "I might just throw up."

"Still, it's good to be back now that that big old snake Crom is out of the picture." Bill chuckled. "At least he probably left a few mental scars when he went all ouroboros on his own tailed hide. Too bad, I kind of liked him. He had a rather jovial approach to murder and mayhem."

"Too bad there isn't one like him in the universe with the Light." Klarion threw his pillow away. "We could have had so much fun."

"Still, we got to get back to work. We spent too much time lounging around, eating popcorn and watching the insanity that is movie night." Bill snapped his fingers and the TV along with the couch and the popcorn machine vanished. "It's time to get back to work."

"Boring office work or fun murder and insanity work?" Klarion asked.

"Fun murder and insanity, duh!" Bill rolled his eye. "I got a bowtie, not a strangling office tie. What's that say about me?!"

"So what's the plan?" Klarion grinned, rubbing his hands.

"We make sure that Pine Tree, Shooting Star or Fordsy's metallic puppet doesn't get in the way of fixing that machine. I lost big last time those brats got in my way and I'm not going to make the same mistake again. We got to knock them off balance." Bill explained.

"Why not send those Blind Eye stooges to erase their minds?"

"Nah, they failed to take down those kids last time, thanks mostly to Stan and ex-wife thirty pulling a reverse in time. I have to be a little more subtle this time. I have to play their weaknesses against each other and keep them from paying attention to that shack of theirs for a little while." Bill snickered. "And I know just the way to do." With a snap of his fingers a phone was in his hand and he quickly hit the speed dial button.

After a few ring tones he got an answer. "Yes? This is Saint Olga's School for Wayward Princesses? Are you in need of disciplining your princess?"

"Actually I do." Bill answered with a chuckle. "I got this princess here who is all rainbow and lollipops, real kind of troublemaker who just runs all over the place." Bill sighed dramatically, holding a hand to his 'forehead'. "It's just so hard to keep her still and teach her about rules and stuff. She turned down all the guys who want to marry her and make her their queen. Really sad day. And I hear you guys are pros at dealing with that."

"Of course, sir. May we have the name of this Princess?"

"Her name is Princess Maple Cherry. She's got long brown hair, wears a sweater instead of dresses but always has a shooting star on them. Oh, and she's got metal stuff in her mouth so fix that too while you are it." Bill instructed.

"Of course, Thank you for considering us for helping to make the perfect princess, sir."

"And thank you." Bill said before hanging up. "…For being so gullible!"

"Did you really just call those twisted princess…makers to kidnap that girl, hall her off to be brainwashed into becoming a mindless obedient princess?" Klarion asked with a horrified look.

"I believe I did."

Both demonic entities broke down in laughter after a moment of silence.

"That's…That's…That's just pure evil!" Klarion wiped away a real tear. "And I thought you were twisted before!"

"I know! I'm so insane I think I scare myself!" Bill cackled, holding his 'belly'. "I think if I had lungs at this point I'd be suffocating. Too bad I don't have those. I kind of want to give them a try now!"

"So, little shooting star gets whisked off to the insane princess asylum. What have you got lined up for Pine Tree?" Klarion asked.

"Oh, who says I have to do anything? He'll go insane trying to rescue her." Bill rubbed his hands. "That's the beauty of it. I don't have to lift a finger!"

"What if he goes to Pacifica for help?" Klarion pointed out. "She might want to help if she can get another favor out of him."

"Oh, I am sure he'll try." Bill shrugged. "That's the beauty of it. It's one thing to ask for a favor and being forced into being you know what but who knows what you can get out of a second deal."

"I knew there was a reason I liked hanging out with you."

"I knew there was a reason I liked hanging out with me too."

"So you have spent over thirty years trying to repair this machine to save your brother?"

It had been a long story but Double D, the core unit of the advanced battle unit known as a Armatae had managed to coax the truth out of Stanley Pines.

Stan nodded. "Yeah and I finally got my hands on all three books so I can finally fix it. And I plan on finishing it so don't tell me to stop, kid. I can't stop and I won't let anyone try."

Double D considered the quandary of what he had just learned.

On one hand this was a deadly machine that could summon a threat that could destroy all life on Earth.

On the other hand the man before him just wanted to save his twin brother.

The intellect within him told him to destroy the machine.

However the compassionate part of him understood and even wanted to help the man save his brother.

It was an impossibly hard decision to make.

"So what do you plan to do, kid?" Stan's question shook Double D from his mental contemplation. "You going to help me or do I have to keep you from getting in my way?"

"I…." Double D sighed. "I'll help."

Warning

Double D's chest device beeped.

Armatae cannot allow this to happen. Armatae was programmed to protect this planet from Bill Cipher. Repairing and completing the portal machine is in direct violation of Armatae's directives.

"Armatae, wait." Double D protested, holding a hand over his chest unit. "You made me your core unit because you need me. But I need you to understand I do not simply exist to fulfill your programming. He's trying to save your creator."

Irrelevant. Armatae's directives do not rely on existence of creator.

"But they rely on my compliance." Double D pointed out.

"Uh…What's going on?" Stan asked, completely confused now.

"The portal is not the only machine your brother made." Double D answered, looking back at the chest unit. "Look, we save his brother and then we shut down and dismantle the portal. Without it, Bill Cipher can't reach this planet anymore. Correct?"

Correct

"Then assist us and I will make sure the machine will never be used to help Cipher." Double D proposed.

If machine is active long enough a rift can form. Cipher can use the rift to escape into our reality.

"If that happens we can work on sealing the rift." Double D quickly said. "Please Armatae. I agreed to be your core unit because you found my intellect suitable but my morals and compassion for those in need are perhaps the kind of balance we both need to stop Cipher. Help me and I will do everything in my power to keep Cipher from endangering the planet."

Your proposal is…

Acceptable

"Thank you." Double D smiled.

For now. Armatae will be monitoring and if threat level becomes High Level Risk Armatae will be forced to take over and terminate the portal machine.

Double D sighed. "Well, that's better than nothing. I understand." He then looked to the confused Stanley Pines. "Well, let's get to work."

After the call ended, Sebben leaned back in his chair and closed his eye. "Finding things out the hard way is the norm around here, Miss Bray."

He looked at his tablet, seeing the message that had been sent to him by Master Splinter who had received it from his student/son Leonardo.

THE GEM OF DESTRUCTION HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS NOW IN ENEMY HANDS

"Why wasn't it guarded?" Sebben brought a hand to his chin. "All the other Gems…They are either locked up or hidden somewhere else but I know they were all protected by powerful forces. Did…Did something happen to whatever was guarding the Gem of Destruction?"

The Elementals were the Guardians of the Spiral Gems. They created the safeguards that kept the Spiral Gems safe.

Perhaps Destruction had been found earlier and left there by someone who did not know what they actually had.

"Sight is with me." Sebben brought a hand to his eyepatch. "Form is in Japan, inside Yamanouchi Academy. Bond goes wherever it detects strong emotional ties, Nature is hidden away with its power split to prevent its capture, Youth is in Britain, Soul can only be reached by only one bloodline and Mind is…Not here. That still leaves Heart, Creation, Strength and Ability either in the academies or sealed somewhere else but with Destruction in Sammael's hands…"

Sammael would only be that much stronger now.

"I am going to have to see where this might be going." Sebben reached for his eye patch. "I may have gotten a little lax since an evil god was stopped from taking over the world."
