Opening File: Mabel Pines

Mabel Pines (born August 31, 1999, 5 minutes before Dipper Pines) is a 12-year-old girl spending the summer with her Great Uncle Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon, where she and her brother frequently encounter the supernatural. She takes a much less serious approach to life than her twin brother as she navigates her way around odd, new surroundings. According to her, her first word was 'unicorn.' She claims to have shown a 'natural gift' for art since she was two years old.

She and Dipper were raised nonreligious, but celebrate all holidays at her insistence. Since the age of three, Mabel has celebrated Halloween in Piedmont with Dipper Pines. Mabel and Dipper went to Eggbert Elementary. At age nine, she won a mini-golf tournament and from then on she has been amazing at it. Mabel is an energetic, fun, bouncy, hyperactive, enthusiastic and free-spirited girl.

She is an optimist who skips through life with a braces-filled smile and an assortment of extremely colorful knit sweaters. It is Mabel's outgoing personality and fearless curiosity that comes in handy when Dipper needs help solving a mystery, even if she isn't always aware of her silliness. She shows a more sophisticated attitude when it comes to art. Despite all the weirdness in Gravity Falls, Mabel is always a 'glass-half-full' kind of girl.

She is rarely angry or upset, and generally keeps a positive outlook. Despite her cheerful attitude, Mabel is shown to be quite sensitive, as she can occasionally get her feelings hurt, especially by her rival, Pacifica Northwest. She is somewhat naive at times. She avoids lying and is a terrible liar, often blurting out whatever it is about which she is trying to lie.

Mabel is a preteen dreamer with a world filled with preteen novels (mostly about vampires), and her fixation on finding her one true love occasionally lands her in sticky situations that ultimately require her brother's help. She has a prominent selfish side, particularly when it comes to boys with whom she's infatuated, even breaking promises made with her friends or Dipper in pursuit of her crush. She constantly prioritizes her own desires over that of her brother, and often manipulates him into sacrificing his own happiness to help her achieve whatever whim she has her mind set on. Despite this flaw Mabel is very close with her brother, calling him her best friend, saying he's the 'best brother in the world (though he could stand to shower more)' and the two enjoy spending time together, whether it's simply goofing off or having adventures in their strange summer home.

They care deeply about each other and are easily willing to risk their lives for the sake of the other. Although they do sometimes bicker with each other, as siblings usually do. Mabel is secretly envious that her brother is better academically than she is (in contrast to Dipper, who is jealous of Mabel's social skills). Mabel cannot stand to see people bully Dipper, nor does Dipper like to see his sister upset, and he is somewhat protective over her.

"Well, the new millennium has had its ups and downs and through all that time I've hope you've all had made the decision everyone eventually faces: are you going to be like everyone else, or are you gonna forge your own path, be your own person, an individual? As mentioned before Webster said individuality is a total character in distinguishing individuals from others. You know somebody who stands out in the crowd who's a little different. It could be hair, clothes, or just a different outlook." TOM remarked as the files closed. "I mentioned before that an individual takes responsibility for their actions and refuses to let anyone tell them what to do. Being yourself isn't always easy, sometimes, you gotta take some licks. In the long run, it's the only thing that makes you who you are, so don't give it up. And now on with the show."

Xxx

"Come on! You lost the bet so now you have to try on what we agreed!"

"What is that exactly?" Danielle asked hesitantly as she was dragged off into their room, followed by Sayoko.

Once inside Sayoko immediately closed the door as the girls dragged Danielle over to the corner of the room where a dresser and mirror were located.

"So what have you picked out?" Danielle asked, hoping it wasn't something embarrassing or humiliating.

"Nope. You don't get to see until it's on." Kuki shook her head.

"So I'm supposed to have my eyes closed while you-Hey!" Danielle protested when Mushi snuck up behind her and put a blind fold on over her eyes while Kuki kept her from taking it off. "Really?"

"Relax. It's more fun if it is a surprise." Mushi giggled.

Danielle sighed, deciding to let the girls have their fun. If it was embarrassing she could just spend the next few weeks in ghost form since technically she'd still be wearing whatever outfit even if she would be wearing her ghost outfit.

"Okay, Sayoko bring her behind the dresser." Kuki instructed as they brought the clothes out. "And help her undress."

"What?!"

"Relax. You need to change in order to make the outfit work." Kuki said as Sayoko moved Danielle behind the dresser.

The ghost girl was practically glowing in embarrassment as Sayoko helped undress her, even removing the hair band, causing her hair to fall down her back and then proceeded to help her into her new outfit. Sayoko was amused that Kuki and Mushi had chosen a miko outfit for Danielle. Her blue hoodie was removed and neatly folded on the floor as the white kosode was wrapped around her with her arms spread out and her red shorts were replaced with the red hakama with the red sash tied perfectly to complete the outfit. Kuki grabbed a red hair ribbon and used it to tie Danielle's black and white hair into a loose pony tail.

"Okay, we're done." Kuki said, removing the blind fold and allowing Danielle to see herself in the mirror.

The young ghost girl stared wide eyed at her reflection, almost unable to recognize herself. "You chose a shrine maiden outfit?"

"It was perfect." Kuki giggled, heading to the door. "Come on, let's show mom."

It wasn't the worst outfit Danielle had imagined having to wear.

It was what came after that was hard.

First off, no one made fun of her for wearing a miko outfit while she cleaned up the room she shared with Kuki and Mushi at the temple, swept the front porch with a broom or did one or two chores around the temple as part of the bet.

No it was much worse.

She was called…adorable.

A few even walked up to her and asked if she could have her picture taken with them. She knew Genki had taken one or two pictures already and she was sure Sayoko was sharing said pictures with the maids back at the Sanban estate. It wasn't as embarrassing or humiliating as she was afraid it would be but she could do without all the giggles, the gushing over her and she kept on being called adorable or 'kawaii' as they said here. She finished the chores she had been given and decided to rest in the courtyard, watching as the sun began to set.

"Enjoying yourself, Danielle-san?"

Danielle sat up and turning around as Hiroshi stepped out. "Oh, Hiroshi-san. I didn't hear you come out."

"I imagine you are having a fun time." Hiroshi chuckled.

"Oh, just getting used to the attention." Danielle rubbed her head. "You'd think doing a few chores wouldn't get a lot of attention."

"I imagine that's true when you are not somewhat famous. After all, you stopped a madman from stealing all the gold and wealth in the world and recently you fought along the famous SAM-R-I who returned to fight an army of demons. You are gathering a large amount of fame." Hiroshi commented, sitting next to Danielle.

"Yeah, tell me about it." Danielle sighed. "I'm not used to all this attention. I can't say if it is going to be positive or a negative for my social life in the future, especially since I planned on enrolling to Yamanouchi Academy. I kind of figured there wasn't much else for me to do considering my powers and how I can help out against monsters like Billiam and Crom."

"Perhaps I can help the most of your time honoring your bet." Hiroshi suggested, earning a confused look from Danielle. "Come with me."

Danielle followed Hiroshi through the temple, wondering where he was leading her.

"Before and after the Time of Awakening shrine maidens were trained to combat evil spirits, demons and Grimm. Today, their training has been passed down to help teach our Huntresses with most trained to perform certain ceremonial tasks, ranging from sacred cleansing to preforming sacred dances. Given your own powers I am not surprised Genki-san's daughters chose a miko outfit for you in their bet." Hiroshi spoke as they walked, chuckling at the flustered look on Danielle's face. "Here at this temple, our students learn bushido and train to defend themselves against the Grimm, even if they do not become hunters. You are aware you must have basic training in armed and unarmed combat before applying to Yamanouchi?"

Danielle nodded as Hiroshi led her to another yard near the temple.

"Then I believe this can help." Hiroshi suggested, pointing at the yard.

Danielle looked around and saw several posts with bull's eye targets riddled with holes. Hiroshi then opened up door nearby and came back out with a bow and arrow set.

"Archery?" Danielle asked, staring at the bow.

"Since you are dressed the part I figured you could learn a thing or two." Hiroshi explained with a small smile. "We also have some practice swords that you can learn to use during your stay here. I understand that despite the powers you possess you do not have much training or even picked out a weapon."

"Yeah. It's kind of hard to decide given what I can do." Danielle admitted, taking the bow in her hands. "I can fly, turn invisible, walk through walls and shot ghost beams. Kind of hard to top what you already have."

"Well, we can consider something to have on hand in case you run into a problem." Hiroshi suggested kindly.

Danielle smiled, actually kind of thrilled to learn a bit of archery. "All right. I'll give this a try."

Hiroshi smiled as he helped Danielle with strap the quiver full of arrows on her back and then taught her how to properly hold the bow and carefully instructed her on how to use it along with instructing her on proper aiming and the position of her feet to make sure her arrow reached its target. Once she was ready Danielle took careful aim and released the string.

"Wow!" Danielle gasped upon seeing her arrow hit the target, nearly in the center.

"Good job, Danielle." Hiroshi stated with a pleased smile. "You might be a natural."

Danielle chuckled weakly. "I didn't exactly hit the center."

"You are not being graded or expected to learn anything right away. You are free to practice and make as many mistakes you need to learn." Hiroshi said, sitting back as Danielle took out another arrow. "Just remember to get your arrows after you are done."

"Right."

Ana Bray stood the Rasputin's core room standing in front of a control panel staring up at the Warmind. The core chamber was a massive room with a single bridge leading up to the platform and terminal in front of the Rasputin that was installed in the wall at the center of a square shaped housing for the AI's core.

"Anastasia I am detecting six shuttles on approach to Reach's surface." Rasputin said.

Ana pulls up a holo-screen to see the approaching shuttles. "Can you shoot them down?"

"With the current number of Warsats I will be able to destroy three of them." Rasputin replied. "Shall I deploy the Frames alongside the soldiers and Hunters?"

"The Frames yes, the Hunters and soldiers no." Ana said as she took a rifle off her back. "I'll be going with the Frames."

"Thirty long years and it's all led up to this. My greatest achievement!" Stan grinned proudly before he paused and looked down. "Probably should've worn pants."

The machine spouted out some fire that hit Stan in the shoulder and he patted himself on his shoulder to get rid of the fire.

"Feisty," He smiled. "I like it." He walked back to control panel and flipped the switches, looking at readouts. "If I finally pull this off, it'll all have been worth it." Stan sat down in his chair. "I just have to keep playing it cool; if anyone ever finds out about this..." He looked at a picture of Dipper and Mabel. "Yeah, right. I've come this far. Who could possibly catch me now?" He pulled on a six-fingered glove and pulls a switch labeled Max. Power, which powered up the machine, causing a power surge around town.

Double D watched closely, careful to carry out his promise to Stan and the fact that Armatae would be monitoring for Cipher related activity.

Xxx

Gideon in his jail cell noticed the light and opened one eye.

Xxx

The surge was detected by a satellite that then transmitted the data to a secret base, appearing on a monitor that glowed red as a single line ran across it, quivering and pulsating.

"See there! There it is again!"

"We haven't seen readings like this for thirty years."

"Is it coming from deep space? An enemy weapon site?"

The senior agent frowned as he zoomed in on the source. "Just as I suspected. Gentlemen! We're going to Gravity Falls."

Xxx

In the midst of the surge an energy portal appeared, illuminating the Mystery Shack along with the surge from the portal.

Xxx

Alert. Alert. Unknown energy surge detected.

Double D looked down at his chest device. "The portal hasn't caused any harm to the town has it?"

This is not being caused by the portal machine. It's signature matches that of a dimensional power logged in my files as Mewnian.

"Mewnian?" Double D asked.

A race of sub-humans that have access to magic. Their civilization is medieval based with a single royal family as the ruling class. The royal family is matriarchal as only queens are allowed to fully rule.

"Intriguing. Why are they here?"

You might want to ask why they are trying to abduct Stan Pines' grandniece instead.

"WHAT?!" Double D turned around and shot for the elevator.

Xxx

SMASH!

Dipper and Mabel shot out of their beds as something smashed through the roof of their bedroom. Since both had just awakened they were still disorientated so they were too late to react as one grabbed Mabel, picking her up and jumped through the hole in the roof.

"MABEL!" Dipper shook his head and rushed out to the window, watching as the three intruders landed in front of the Mystery Shack. "MABEL!"

"DIPPER!" Mabel screamed as the three approached a portal.

The elevator behind the vending machine opened and Double D rushed out, heading for the door. He came out just in time to see the three guards enter the portal with Mabel in it.

"ARMATAE!" Double D shouted, summoning his armor.

Just as he did, Dipper jumped out of the window of his room, landing on Double D and causing him to stumble. Dipper jumped off of Double D and ran for the portal but it vanished before he could reach it.

"MABEL!" The boy screamed in pure horror at his sister disappearing before his eyes.

Xxx

Miss Heinous watched in satisfaction as her guards returned with Princess Maple Cherry who was struggling in their arms. "Good work, boys. You found our missing princess in record time."

"What is going on?! Where am I?!" Mabel shouted, struggling to break free. "Who are you?!"

"Nice try, Princess Maple Cherry." Heinous stepped forward, leaning in close to look Mable in the eye. "We were warned you'd pretend to be a normal little girl to try and fool us. Too bad for you."

"Princess? Maple? Cherry?" Mabel questioned each word used to describe her. "Well, I don't blame you for thinking of me as a princess but my name has a b in it, not a p. And second of all, cherry's not my color. I'd go for something pink."

"Good to know." Heinous gestured to the guards. "You'll be supplied with the proper clothing with your preferred color before you are sent to class."

"Class?" Mabel questioned as the guards pushed her towards the door. "Where am I?!"

"My school for reforming princesses with discipline problems." Heinous answered, deciding to humor the girl. "Much like you."

"Me? I love rainbows, animals, romance novels, being sweet and I have a lovely singing voice! I'm top A-class princess material!" Mabel shouted as she was shoved through the door. "A-CLASS!"

"That's what they all say." Heinous rolled her eyes.

As Mabel was dragged away to her room, she noticed other princesses being escorted to her rooms, including what looked like a floating unicorn head. "Is that a floating unicorn head?"

"She's Princess Pony Head." One guard answered for her.

Mabel gasped with stars in her eyes. "A floating pony head?!"

Pony Head watched as the shocked Mabel was forcibly escorted past her. "What's with her? Never see a princess with a fabulous face like mine?"

Mabel was led into a room with a bed and not much else. Once the guards shoved her in they closed the door and locked her inside.

"Hey! Let me out!" She shouted, banging on the door. "Who locks a princess in a spooky tower?!"

She banged on the door for a full hour before she collapsed to the ground, feeling so tired now. She curled up into a ball, hoping this was just another nightmare and she would wake up safe in the Mystery Shack with her brother and Grunkle.

"Grunkle Stan…Dipper…" Mabel muttered tiredly.

Xxx

The surviving members of the Glorft ground party approached the facility and found Ana with a contingent of Frame units armed with assault rifles in front of the facility.

"Earther, surrender or we will destroy you." The Glorft squad leader said Ashe pointed his weapon at her.

"Did you give the innocents you slaughtered in your time that same message?" Ana asked.

"They were weak and deserved it." The squad leader said as his soldiers raised their weapons. "Surrender or die."

"That's funny I was about to say the same thing." Ana said as she disappeared.

This sudden action shocked the Glorft present.

"Where did she-UGH!" The Glorft soldier was cut off as he was shot by the Frames.

"Get to cover!" The squad leader ordered as he shot a few of the Frames.

The soldiers immediately complied and immediately began firing back at the Frames. Both sides were losing soldiers and though the Frames were smart enough to find cover and move out of oncoming fire they were losing more of their numbers.

"Keep up the pressure." The squad leader ordered. "And where did that human go?"

"Ugh!"

He turns to see some of his soldiers being gunned down by an approaching Ana. As soon as she got close to the Glorft she turned her rifle into a staff and at the end of it appeared a red energy glaive. Several soldiers fired at her but she used her glaive to deflect the shots. Some of the Glorft charged at her, she jumped over one and slashed him with her glaive.

She then hit an approaching Glorft with the staff part of her weapon, disorienting him, and then stabbed him in the chest. She continued cutting down Glorft until the squad leader manages to hit her. She slid back but managed to jump back onto her feet. She then saw a device on her left wrist sparking.

"You Glorft just broke a prototype personalized cloaker." Ana said as she changed her weapon back to rifle mode. "I think it's about time I wrap this up."

Ana pulled out two daggers and she began to glow purple. Five of the remaining six Glorft fired at her but she moved too fast for them to hit and she managed to slash each of the five. Their wounds glowed purple and the five Glorft suddenly disappear in a flash of light. The squad leader was stunned by what he saw and he even flinched when Ana turned to him.

"I have a very unique Semblance, one that required scientists to study." Ana said as she approached the squad leader. "Apparently I can manipulate gravity and dark energy. I can use it to create tethers that slows down and weakens anyone that isn't me or I can use it to accelerate my movement and vaporize my targets."

The squad took a step back from Ana every time she got closer.

Ana stops moving and said. "If you were smarter you'd know you shouldn't walk backwards."

He pauses in confusion and looks over his shoulder to see a group of Frames pointing their guns at him. As soon as he goes for his gun the Frames immediately gun him down.

Ana closes her eyes and breathes a sigh of relief. She opens her eyes as soon as she hears a voice she didn't recognize.

"Squad leader report! Report! Report or I'll have your jorblocks!" Gorrath's voice shouted from dead Glorft's body.

Ana saw a wrist communicator on the dead squad leader; picked it up and answered it. "Your men are dead."

"Who is this!?"

"Someone who doesn't like you." Ana said. "Am I correct in assuming that you're the Glorft leader Gorrath?"

"You are correct Earther."

"Good. After hearing about the atrocities you brought to mankind in your time, I sincerely hope that there's a special place in hell for you." Ana said before she threw the communicator at a rock.

Xxx

"BAH!" Gorrath slammed a fist down on his console. "Commander, why did your squad fail?!"

The Commander gulped as he quickly tried explaining himself. "The AI shot down three of our ships and the humans have a more heavily fortified area than we thought. Sir, I promise you will have the AI-"

"I don't want excuses or promises, Commander! I want results!" Gorrath snarled. "And I want that Earther who dared to disrespect me captured with the AI and brought to me alive!"

"I will send an attack squad, sir."

"Don't bother wasting resources, Commander. Deploy the countermeasures we made for the AI in our time." Gorrath ordered, bringing up a map of the planet. "Target the orbital installations first and then send another squad down with escorts this time!" The Commander flinched. "Send a capture unit down as well. We'll bring the entire base up if we have to."

"Yes sir. Anything else?"

BOOM!

Gorrath narrowed his eyes as Megas blasted its way through another squad of mechs. "Send more mechs. And concentrate all fire on the prototype. I don't want that monkey getting in the way."

"Yes sir. It will be done."
