Opening File: North
North is an ape mobian and a member of Team REYN, a team made up of Class-V huntsmen and a former student of Jade Academy. North left Africa and travelled to Asia to find the famous Jade Academy after fighting many Grimm but wanting to learn to improve his way of fighting as a huntsman. He met a tribe of white ape mobians on the way, spent time with them and learnt to 'jump good'. He was visited by a monk in the mountains and asked him where to find the academy, not being given a clear answer until he made an offer to the monk; beat him in a showdown and if he wins, will show North the way, if he loses, he'll find it himself.
The monk offered him a few challenges to prove if he is worthy, succeeded in the first few for a short period of time, but North wasn't sure if the monk was just delaying him or wasting his time and demanded a real challenge. But through the final showdown he began using the martial art skills he learnt when fighting his opponent and begin to realize it was actually part of the training by a master of the Jade Academy. With great improvements, he passed all the challenges and was granted a place in the academy to learn. After graduating Jade Academy, North went to find his path in the world and continue his dream of becoming a Huntsman.
While on the trip through Asia, North came across his old friends from his village and learnt they joined Satyra, wanted him to do the same to fight for fellow Faunus and Mobians to be respected. North knew about its reputation and how they attack defenseless humans, even towards their fellow kin who wish for equality among all races. Realizing something wasn't right as the innocent and idealistic people he grew up with, were nothing but cold hearted soldiers, North fought them. Unable to take their lives and took them to the authorities, using the knowledge he received about one of Satyra's Lieutenants, Dark Kat who they worked under but perhaps a bigger part of a plan for their leader Known as His Eminence.
Upon his encounter and battle with Dark Kat, North found something about him that was not right, especially finding out about the leader of the organization but very little of his agenda then starting a war against humans. He met the growing team over the common to do good for the world and to defeat threats such as the Fallen, Satyra and other worldly threats.

"You know when you meet someone bigger than you with bulking muscles you might think 'Oh boy, this guy could be trouble, I should avoid him'. It's easy to judge someone by their looks but just because someone looks big and strong doesn't mean they are the mean kind of guys. For all we know they could be nicest guys you'll ever meet. Remember the old saying 'Never judge a book by its cover'." TOM said as the file closed.

"Sorry for burning your shirt, dude." Doyle patted the clone hybrid on the back. "But you did good out there. Maybe when you get better we'll have a rematch."
Superboy nodded and took thought of it. "If we ever come back to this reality, I'll take it. Least it was better than that psycho woman with that freaky magic."
Stryker followed them and nudged to Connor who looked back to see him nod his head with a smile by the look of it, probably meant as a sign of respect. "Guess that means you enjoyed it too boy." Superboy stroked the dragon's horn to return the gesture as he knows what it feels like having an animal companion like how he bonded with Wolf.
The rest of the team and Artemis showed up to see them.
"Well, we can tell you're getting better at it." Ross commented. "We almost thought you'd lose earlier but was a good strategy using the clouds for cover."
"Same could be said about the shirt." Raven said as she joined them to see the two.
"It's a habit I got." Connor sighed. "Too bad there's no Superman shirt around here."
"Think we can fix that, bro. Now for the second round." Valhallen said and looked up to find out who would be next.
The screen changed images fast and stopped showing two people.
"Next challengers: Tiki-Torch vs North."
"North? Who would call themselves that?" Keanu asked with an arched eyebrow when he heard the name.
Rino looked to the side and back at his teammate, pointed with his thumb. "Uh, him?"
Keanu turned to the thief's direction and saw a large orange furred Ape Mobian twice his size. Da Samurai felt his jaw dropped and gulped. "Uh, what I meant was... it's a unique name! Good luck out there!" He said, giving a convincing smile and thumbs up.
"Wow, you sure know how to make friends." Raven rolled her eyes as he clearly reminded her of Beast Boy.
"And you're the funny one?" Keanu retorted when she wasn't helping his case.
North shrugged and chuckled. "None taken, I thought it sounds fitting for me." He said, taking his leave to make his way down to the arena for his match, taking a step into the arena to meet the Hawaiian hero.
"So any idea on how this will turn out?" Erika pondered, knowing her Mobian teammate was strong but never know what the hero will have in store for him.
"Unsure, the first time I've seen this hero in action up close apart from his specialty in fire-based skills and weapons." Ross stated and be a good chance to see him in action.
Just before the previous fight had ended Johnny Bravo came by with Rossweisse to watch and was surprised how big the ape Mobian is and somewhat relieved he was not the guy to face him. "That guy wearing a skirt?"
"That's Tiki-Torch, one of the best huntsman and heroes from the Moana Kingdom and this will show you and others what he's capable off, dear fellow." Monty told him.
"Ah, Rolf will be most interested to see how this will turn out." These fights were quickly catching Rolf's interest and curiosity to learn from them as he was most surprised the Jetpack-wearing fighter owned a dragon just like the ones from the Gem Home planet.
"Hey, that fella is one of them huntsman me and Ed saw earlier. Man, he looks like he could take on Krunk." Wally pointed out and wanted to see what this guy could do.
Everyone watched as the two approached each other and stopped in their respective distance to begin but North raised his right hand up. "Before we begin, perhaps a challenge can be requested."
Hearing the request piqued David's interest and folded his arms. "Sure, what'd you have in mind?"
"Back in the Jade Academy we usually have challenges to test our skills and martial arts, rather than just combat we would settle with a showdown." To show what he was talking about, North pulled out his Ruby Dragon from his back and twirled it in his arms before stomping the bottom of the staff to the ground. "It's simple; the person who knocks the other from the platform first wins without touching the floor."
"Interesting. I could use that, but maybe something more exciting to keep the platforms move about, we have anti-gravity tech for that." Tiki-Torch thought to add more to make the challenge more interesting. "So how about more than one and the person who fell will land in the water for a safe landing."
After taking some thought North took a liking to the idea. "That will do fine by me."
"Yo guys, bring the platforms up!" Tiki-Torch called out to them after choosing their challenge as each hexagon-shaped platform rose from the ground and taking to the air in different positions, including the one two both stood on as they ascended.
Tiki-Torch pulled out his fire sticks in his hands before taking a pose and the same went for North as he prepared to start by the signal.
"Begin!"
(Fire by Scooter Starts)
Tiki-Torch was the first to charge, his fire sticks colliding with North's Ruby Dragon. After the first strike the two broke off and attacked again, fighting back and forth while dodging most strikes but both managed to get in some good hits. Finally North kicked Tiki-Torch away, sending him skidding to the edge of the platform. North then put away his staff and held up his hands, showing them charged with a yellow Aura.
"Looks like North plans to get in close and finish the fight quickly." Yara commented, watching as North formed his hands into fists and charged at Tiki-Torch.
Tiki-Torch knew what to expect if those fists collided with him so he quickly dodged the incoming fists.
"So the guy can super charge his fists with Aura. And I thought he looked tough before." Rino commented. "One wrong move and flame boy's going to get snuffed out."
"I got to learn how to do that." Wally said, excitingly grinning at idea of learning how to charge his fists like that.
"Aren't you tough enough already?" Abby smirked.
"So that's not his Semblance?" Connor asked, remembering his own spar with North.
"Nope. This is a form of Aura manipulation that can be learned through years of learning to concentrate and channel one's Aura." Erika said as Tiki-Torch ducked under a fist and with a blast of fire from his feet he slid under North.
The hero jumped up, twirling his flaming sticks and struck North multiple times. North's Aura seemed to take the hits as he spun around but Tiki-Torch jumped away again.
"Aura can be used for both offense and defense. The main method is using it to protect our bodies from attack but with time and effort it can be channeled to increase the strikes of any attacks one chooses to make in combat." Extor remarked. "The sheer training it must have took to achieve such a degree of mastery. No doubt, he really is a student from Jade Academy."
"Jade Academy?" Nazz looked at the scientist. "As in the Jade Academy, the Academy for training Huntsmen in China?"
"The very same." Extor nodded.
North charged at Tiki-Torch again, pulling out his Ruby Dragon to clash with the hero's fire sticks.
"Each Huntsmen Academy has their own method of training future Hunters. Jade Academy prefers to first test those that catches their eyes and if they pass they are allowed to attend. It's a bit of an honor as Jade Academy only focuses on those show remarkable potential that they can mold into great warriors." Ross remarked as the two clashed. "North traveled all the way from Africa to learn at Jade Academy but he had no idea he was being tested even before he set off on the journey. It was almost as if they knew North would come to them before he even made the decision."
"You make it sound like they can see the future." Artemis commented.
Ross smiled a bit. "In this day and age with the things we've seen, I wouldn't be surprised."
North was using his staff skills in combination with his superior martial arts to block incoming fiery hits from Tiki-Torch and retaliate with strikes just as mean. However Tiki-Torch was by no means helpless or a slouch in this department as he successfully blocked or dodged the majority of North's strikes with his fire sticks, fighting back just as fierce.
"Whoa." Kevin muttered quietly, slowly becoming impressed with the fight but made sure no one heard him.
Finally North's staff collided with Tiki-Torch's mask and North followed up with a kick to the stomach, sending him skidding back a few feet towards the edge again. Tiki-Torch grunted, holding his stomach for a second and looked up to see North slowly approaching him.
"Is this guy really a member of the Justice Friends? Shouldn't he be able to go toe-to-toe with North?" Yara asked out loud. "North seems to have this one in the bag."
"Sounds like you thought North would lose." Ross commented with an amused smile.
"Not lose but I thought he'd have more trouble." Yara quickly replied. "Don't sound like I'm not rooting for my teammate! I am! I just-"
Erika calmed Yara down with a hand to the shoulder. "We know, Yara. We know."
North slowly and cautiously approached Tiki-Torch who seemed defenseless. "If you wish to surrender now I will not hold it against you."
"Surrender? When things are getting interesting?" Tiki-Torch asked in a low tone before shooting forward, fire blasting from his feet.
Using his fire sticks Tiki-Torch blocked the first incoming blow from North's staff, seemingly dropping one stick to snap his fingers…
BOOM!
There was a small but blinding explosion that caused North to staggered back, his eyes closed from the sudden flash and smoke. He swung out his staff again, his enhanced reflexes telling him where his opponent was. Tiki-Torch jumped over the staff that would have knocked him off his feet and spun his body in the air, delivering a kick to North's chest and from the foot came another fiery blast that caused North to stagger back, dropping his staff. He was distracted long enough for Tiki-Torch to land on the platform and shoot off again, an explosion from under his feet propelling him forward and allowed him to head butt North in the face, pushing him further to the edge.
The hero then finished by grabbing his arm and in a remarkable display of strength threw the muscular Mobian over his shoulder…and over the edge.
"North!" Yara shouted, standing up and watching as North fell to the water with a big splash.
SPLASH!
(Fire by Scooter Ends)
"By the terms of their showdown, Tiki-Torch is the winner." Capital G announced as the platforms lowed back down to the arena ground.
North stood up, shaking the water from his fur and jumped onto a platform as the watery arena sank back down, leaving the single white arena that was the default function. He watched as Tiki Torch landed in front of him, staring at him for a second and then took off his mask.
Underneath the mask was the face of a young and rather handsome looking man who smiled. "That was a very impressive fight. I think you have me beat when it comes to strength, speed and hand to hand. If not for how learning to control my Semblance to pin point accuracy I wasn't sure I'd stand a chance."
He held out a hand to North who smiled back and shook it. "You fight well, Tiki-Torch. You held back and waited for the right time to strike, even endangering yourself as I thought I had you cornered. I see what your comrades see in you."
They exchanged smiles and shook hands one more time before leaving the arena.
"Man that was an awesome match!" Wally pumped a fist into the air.
"Yeah!" Ed nodded happily in agreement.
"Rolf admits to being impressed. Big and Tall Strong as an Ox North reminds Rolf of the biggest and burly men from the Old Country." Rolf said, taking a bit out of a hot dog. "And fiery Tiki-Torch burns hotter than the hot water we use for boiling our infestation."
"Mr. North had Tiki-Torch on the ropes but that guy was just as skilled and he's trained his Semblance to the point he can blast anything close to him with perfect accuracy." Extor adjusted his goggles. "Some people rely on their Semblances too much but Tiki-Torch only used it at the right moment."
"Aye." Scotty nodded. "He waited till North was confident, even if the big guy likes to play it safe. And fire boy even pulled his punches with the fire. North's Aura was strong enough to keep him from getting burned."
Nigel stared at Tiki-Torch, silently contemplating if they were not somehow distantly related. Nigel's own family Semblance was the Flame and Tiki-Torch had his own fire based Semblance. It was really something to consider and Nigel wondered if the hero was up for teaching him a bit on how to control his Semblance like the flaming hero could.
"You okay?" Abby whispered to Nigel who jumped slightly but hardly anyone, aside from Abby, Monty and maybe even Elsa and Anna noticed.
"Oh, yeah." Nigel smiled a bit. "Just…thinking."
Abby had her own little smile, having a good idea what Nigel was thinking.
"All right, everyone. That's round two down. Now on to round three." Capital G said as the screen selected names randomly.
"Next up: Erika Ahlberg vs Artemis."

"My dear, Breach. I have need of your services again."
Breach looked up, only to glare hatefully at Van Kleiss as he approached her with a pleased smile on his face.
"No need for that look, Breach. You have helped me greatly." Van Kleiss waved a finger. "Right now, you are the one who will me ascend to godhood and best of all it will be so much easier than I ever thought."
In his hand was a metallic box that he held out to her. "It all starts with this. A container of tracking devices modified with the absorption cells of my new AMAZO android. I already have a dozen out there in this world right now, tracking suitable components to scan and that data will be sent directly back into the android. I won't have to lift a finger as the data of the most powerful beings in this world and a dozen others are collected for me."
It was all so perfect.
He could take the android's body and absorb its nanites right now but the process would take time and he wanted his ascended form to be a surprise for everyone. Besides it gave him a chance to monitor the tracking devices as they went about their work.
"And you Breach are going to open the door to every dimension so that I can the tracking devices through." Van Kleiss held out his golden gauntlet, stroking Breach's chin as the girl continued to glare hatefully at him. "Start up the machine."
His two cronies did as told, activating the portal machine and causing Breach to scream out in pain as the machine utilized her powers. Van Kleiss opened the box and from it came perhaps thousands of insect sized machines, resembling ordinary bees that flew into the portal as it connected to different realities. Some were ones that Van Kleiss had already studied and acquired test subjects while others were new and undergoing further observation. The tracking devices would go and seek out unique individuals, scans their forms down to the molecular level and send that data back to his android with the nanites in it reconfiguring its body to perfectly match the bodies, weapons and abilities that would ensure the android's evolution.
Van Kleiss' evolution.
In the meantime he had new subjects to find and study while likely converting them into E. for his new army. He looked over his records again, grinning at what he could possibly use.

Van Kleiss grinned as his tracking devices were released into each dimension on the list. He was looking forward to see what would come from these dimensions.
"Now to find some new recruits."

"All right, we should be making a stop at Charm City next."
Julie Yamamoto watched as the Rustbucket made a turn near a canyon, content to simply watch the calm blue skies.
Too bad the calmness was about to end.
BELCH!
Suddenly the windshield was covered in a green slime, forcing Max to slam down onto the breaks and pull the Rustbucket over the side of the road.
"What was that?" Ben shot up from his seat and ran up to his grandpa's side.
"Looks like some slime." Max looked at the wind shield. "I can't imagine big enough to make something like this."
"Ew, gross." Gwen remarked, holding her stomach.
SMASH!
Something than rammed into the Rust Bucket, knocking it over.
"Come out and play!" A voice taunted from the outside.
Ben groaned as he climbed up to the door and peeked out, seeing a bunch of guys wearing odd costumes but it was easy to tell they were supervillains. "Who are you creeps?"
"It does not matter who we are." Tubbimura stepped forward. "All that matters is that you give us everything you have."
"Or see what happens you get make Big Brother mad." Big Brother clenched a fist.
Ben smirked, holding up the Omnitrix. "Want to see what happens when you make Ben mad?"
He slammed his hand on the Omnitrix, changing into…
"ROAR!" Wildmutt jumped off the Rustbucked, snarling at the five villains.
"Wow. He can change into aliens." Gill commented, readying another slime volley.
"Whatever." Knightbrace took off his brace ring. "Now brace for impact!"
He threw the ring at Wildmutt who jumped over the ring as it twirled through the air like a boomerang. Puttinski followed with a series of explosive golf balls that the Wildmutt hastily dodged before colliding with Big Brother.

"All according to plan."
I and Am watched as their team of patsies fought the Tennyson boy, distracting them as their target emerged from the Rustbucket.
The plan was simple: Lure the Tennyson boy away from the Fire Elemental and then separate her from the rest of.
Their master would handle the rest.

"Next up: Erika Ahlberg vs Artemis."
A few minutes later Artemis and Erika were facing each other down in the arena. Four screens appear, usually set to randomly choose the setting of the battle but Erika wanted to make a personal request this time and seeing as Artemis had no problem with whatever Erika wanted the four screens settled on the same thing: a purple icon of floating platforms. The four panels receded while Erika leapt off the panel and into the biome below. Gravity biomes began rising up in the four sections that had the biome randomizer screens.
"So that's what Erika is going for." Doyle commented with a grin.
"They are just a bunch of floating blocks." Wally complained.
"Not just that." Ross stated. "They're modified with Gravity Dust for not just lifting off the ground, but controlling their own personal gravity."
"Arty's in big trouble now." Yara remarked, earning a glance from Connor. "She's skilled in archery on the ground but this might mess with her skills."
Artemis carefully looked around, seeing Erika had vanished but knew she was likely going to attack from above. She looked up, watching the biomes rise up and finally she spotted Erika standing on a levitating platform with her pistol, Ran aimed down at her.
"Miss Erika requested this to make the terrain extremely difficult. The gravity of the platforms will continue to shift and if they are not careful they end up falling into one of the areas below." Extor adjusted his goggles. "Geysers spotting water and hot lava in certain parts of the battle field. They are both going to have to stay on their toes."
"And Erika's been trained to fight in these kinds of places, especially lava areas when you consider living with dragons." Scotty remarked.
Artemis pulled out one arrow and held it in her bow.
"And begin!"
