Opening File: Julie Yamamoto

Julie Yamamoto is a young girl currently traveling with the Tennyson family after having run away from home in Denver. She is actually the current Fire Elemental, one of the four Elementals who are considered the most powerful wielders of magic on Earth. As the Fire Elemental Julie is able to conjure and manipulate fire at will which became apparent as a young girl. She could not control this power and almost burned the house down, terrifying her parents so she ran away so that she wouldn't hurt them.

She traveled around frequently, leaving very little clues to her past but according to Sammael she tried to do good wherever she went but only made things worse.

"At long last, the elusive Fire Elemental." A voice spoke from the Grimm.

Suddenly the Grimm convulsed as its crystal ball shattered and it fell to the ground, making Julie cry out in shock, trying to crawl away. The Grimm's body dissolved into a mist of dark vapor that formed into something else.

A human or something meant to resemble human with a very pale face, dark veins of red, black and purple traveling down the face, eyes red like the Grimm with a black sclera, and a red glowing light where the heart would have been.

"I have been looking forward to making your acquaintance." The spectral form of Sammael spoke with a smile.

Julie tried to crawl back but a form of paralyzing fear took over her as she stared at the misty form with the face of a man, or something trying to look like a man. That fear came with a sense of familiarity that she could not explain but was too scared to contemplate. This fear caused her eyes to flare and she cried out, covering them and turning away.

"I see you are still in the dark about your nature." Sammael remarked. "That fire…It must be so hard to hold it in all the time."

Julie tried to crawl away out of the cave but Sammael snapped his fingers and a wall of fire blasted to life in front of her, scaring her even further as she cried out. "AH!"

"You shouldn't be afraid, little one. These flames cannot harm you." Sammael said calmly and almost…soothingly. "You are the Fire Elemental. Fire cannot harm you for you can command it."

Julie turned around, her eyes flaring as she tried to scare the projection. "What are you talking about?"

"You should know what I am talking about. I am speaking plain and clear when I say you are the Fire Elemental. One of the four most powerful beings in existence. You hold the power to command fire and thus you cannot be burned by it." Sammael explained with a smile. "The Elementals are meant to be the guardians of life in this world and perhaps all worlds. The power of fire chose you the day you were born as the one to be its host and master."

"Fire Elemental…" Julie looked down at her hands. "But…But they burned down my home…I almost killed my parents…" She trembled and glared at Sammael. "No, you're lying!"

"I have no reason to lie, little one. Lying is done by those who wish to keep secrets, out of fear, anger or necessity but I have none of these reasons. Lying is beneath me, discarded by me." Sammael remarked amusedly. "I have no reason to lie. You are one of the four guardians of this world because the Elementals were made to be its protectors."

"Of course in recent times the Elementals remain unknown for it takes over a century before they reincarnate themselves and in such times, evil is allowed to grow."

Van Kleiss grinned as he looked at the developing form of his AMAZO body. "Look upon it gentlemen. What you see is my ascension."

"So why not absorb its nanites right now?" Beowulf asked curiously.

"Because it gives me a chance to observe the android's evolution. If I take it now I would have to go through the trouble of learning everything the drones are monitoring right now. Why bother learning new things on the go when I can have everything in one single of a moment?" Van Kleiss turned to the main computer. "Besides, the android can also help me with new recruits as it evolves. Imagine using it to gift new powers and abilities just by taking what it has now."

On the computer Van Kleiss watched the information was downloaded from the drones and into the android's body.

"It is true that during your absence that others have appeared on the side of good."

Danielle sighed as she put the practice sword away. During her time at the temple she had taken up archery and practice with wooden swords in between her chores.

"Guess I should make sure the girls didn't mess up the bed. I went through all that trouble to make them this morning." The girl muttered.

At least she kept busy through the bet. As the ghost girl dressed as a shrine maiden for a week headed back to the room she shared with the two girls as a bee hovered near a window, observing her with glowing eyes.

A white ring of light traveled around the android's grey body, turning it completely white with blue glowing eyes that flashed and then the body returned to normal.

"And there we have the first set." Van Kleiss remarked with a grin. "Now imagine if I can use the android to create more than just one half ghost like our young friend. Or we make do with someone else."

"New heroes appear every day but they are still young and inexperienced."

POW!

Ben grunted as he knocked back by another fist from Big Brother. He got up, growing at how useless this alien seemed to be. "What does it take for this watch to give me a useful alien?!"

He was then peppered by explosive golf balls by Puttinski as Big Brother slammed into him again, sending him flying into a cliff wall. Only when he curled himself he suddenly found himself spinning extremely fast, bouncing off the wall and shooting back at Big Brother, crashing into the delinquent and this time sending him flying back, landing on top of the Puttinski who let out a simple 'Uh-oh' before he ended up sticking to Big Brother's back while halfway buried into the ground.

Meanwhile Ben crashed into the ground, uncurling himself as he laid face first on the ground. "Oh…What happened?"

"Ben!" Gwen called out. "You curled into a giant ball and knocked those two out! That's your alien's power! It's like…a cannonball!"

"Cannonball?" Ben muttered as he got up. "Not the best kind of name for it."

Tubbimura leapt up, slamming his gut into Ben and sending him flying back. As if on instinct he curled up again, spinning along the ground as he spun and shot back at Tubbimura, slamming into him and sending him flying back as payback.

"Whoa!" Ben uncurled himself and stood up straight. "Less like a cannonball and more like a cannon…bolt! That's more like it! Cannonbolt!"

As Ben laughed at the name for a new alien a small bee hovered over, watching the battle as it scanned Ben's form, both his alien form and the Omnitrix symbol on its chest. Ben, as Cannonbolt shot forward, scaring Knightbrace and Gill in fleeing for their lives.

"This isn't what they hired us for!" Gill shouted, running for the trees.

"Yeah, you chumps better run!" Cannonbolt shouted before turning back into Ben. "Okay, where's Julie?"

The bee drone's scanners zoomed in on the Omnitrix on Ben's wrist.

Van Kleiss watched as a wrist device similar to the Omnitrix appeared on the android's wrist. "The absorption cells were even able to scan and mimic a device sophisticated as the famous Omnitrix. Right down to every molecule that went into building it. I could even use the android to mimic and create an army of aliens similar to the ones that device produces."

And this was not even covering what the drones in the alternate dimensions were scanning and sending back.

"And even the more experienced will find themselves tested in more ways than one."

"You can't be serious."

Of all the stupid and hot headed things she had seen him do this was probably taking the cake.

"I am serious." Agunimon said like it was simple.

"You were stabbed with a dangerous poison from a deranged stalker. You just got the antidote and now you want to take part in what's going in that sparing arena?" Kazemon couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Your wound has barely healed."

"It's only a spar, Kazemon and this can show us where we stand with the best fighters in this world." Agunimon reasoned.

"And sparring with Valhallen and Major Glory didn't give you a clue?" Kazemon asked.

"They were holding back in those fights. In this kind of match you can tell they are going all out." Agunimon pointed the arena in the center of the massive sparring chamber. "We've been training like crazy but we still have a lot to learn. I mean we all fought against the Crom guy and we barely made a scratch on him. What happens when we end up facing someone stronger?"

Lowemon sighed. "Unfortunately he has a point. And we both nearly lost to Monkey Fist in the Darklands. This might be what we need."

"But Agunimon hasn't even recovered yet. We can have spars like this another day." Kazemon protested.

"Sure, against the Justice Friends but they are not the only ones here now." Agunimon gestured to the rest of the audience as they moved to pick up a quick snack from a nearby café and vending machines. "Sure Glory and the others are the best but you saw those two girls and what they can do. If we see what the others can do we might be able to learn how to fight better here."

Kazemon rubbed her head, seeing there was just no convincing him to back out of this. "Can you at least promise that as soon as that wound acts up you'll forfeit."

"I promise." Agunimon raised a hand and nodded.

"Hey guys." The three looked up to see Valhallen standing a few seats above them. "Glad to see you're here and glad to see our fire dude is feeling better. Come to watch the fights?"

"And to get in on it." Agunimon stood up, ignoring the slight ache in his knife wound.

Valhallen's smile faded. "Um, is that a good idea? You just got knifed with a bad poison, dude. Maybe you should wait a bit."

"Thank you." Kazemon muttered, glad that the Viking God of Rock was agreeing with her.

"I promise it won't get in the way and if it gets bad I'll throw the match but we need this." Agunimon gestured to himself and his two friends. "We need to see where we stand with other Huntsmen. Please, just give us a chance to get in on this."

Valhallen rubbed the back of his head. "All right, I'll ask our buddy running the computers to put you guys in but you need to take it easy. I'm all for bending the rules a bit around here but I know when to stop before things go too far." He crossed his arms. "So we'll be watching carefully, fire-dude."

Agunimon nodded. "Thank you."

"And others are already feeling the heavy burden of protecting those close to them."

"Omni."

Omnimon was able to walk into the small café to see everyone picking out something to eat for the next round. His Semblance was still at work with healing him but he was now able to walk straighter and his wounds ached considerably less.

Abby walked up to him, followed by her Pearl named Anna. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I am feeling much better." Omnimon nodded. "I heard about everyone getting together for several sparring matches."

"You want in?"

"No." Omnimon shook his head. "I'd think I should wait another day to let my Data Recovery do its work."

Considering he had fought against Blue Diamond, Boris and Gentle-Jim in one day and was injured through each fight and just a day or two later he was injured further against Crom Cruach even he knew he should slow down before rushing off to fight against the next powerful enemy.

"Sounds like a good idea." Monty walked up with a tray of food, followed by Nigel and the Pearl named Elsa. "We were invited because the friends we made up on that alien planet are still here. Major Glory was kind enough to give us access cards here so we could visit them and you."

Omnimon nodded, understanding why they would be allowed back. Considering Abby and Nigel were both Elementals it would make sense they would be allowed into the Hall of Heroes. Perhaps the people here would help training them and could better protect them.

"These spars are important to watch, especially for those who want follow a career in being Hunters." Monty remarked with a smile. "Actually some of them are kind of like you, Omni."

"Hm?" Omnimon raised an eyebrow.

"It seems the strange circumstance that brought you into this world was also done for some of them." Monty clarified. "The girl named Artemis and her super strong friend are the first examples while the girl in the blue cloak with Team SEKR is another."

Omnimon looked over to said girl in a blue cloak, Raven as she picked up some tea. He could feel a strange but great power coming from her.

A dark kind of power.

"They are having these spars because they know who brought them here and where they might be. These spars are a way to show how far they've come since then. Word has it the people who brought them here are working with the people we met in the Darklands." Monty said quietly enough for no one else but Omni and the young Elementals to hear.

Omnimon narrowed his eyes. 'So, Sammael was behind me being here along with Gallantmon and the other Digimon.'

It made sense in a way.

Considering how powerful Sammael was and how long he might have lived it was obvious he would have the connections to engineer reaching into other dimensions. After all he engineered a plan to strike at the heart of an alien empire while at the same sending a rescue team to infiltrate the capital and save the Elementals. He even created a sword to negate any form of energy that was used to injure Omnimon himself while he was in the Darklands which just proved even further how dangerous he is.

'Gallantmon might be there as well.' The Royal Knight considered.

Suddenly Omnimon had a new reason to get in on what is going on. In the meantime a small bee flew in through the air vent and settled on the wall, taking in the sight of everyone in the room.

Van Kleiss watched as the AMAZO body's arms changed and grew, resembling Omnimon's arms before shrinking down and an S symbol appeared on its chest.

"Perfect. I've managed to scan a Digimon down to its molecular level. This will allow for me to continue making artificial warriors like Megabyte, Hexadecimal and the Phantom Virus." Van Kleiss grinned. "The three will be enough for now."

But now he could possibly make many more.

Perhaps an entire army.

"But without the balance of the Elementals the world will continue to be thrown into chaos." Sammael finished, seeing Julie was still afraid but was listening. "The world needs you, Julie Yamamoto."

Julie was silent as she considered what she had learned, looking at her hands. "Why me? Why was I chosen?"

"The power of Fire deemed you worthy even if it also a heavy burden to bear." Sammael answered, moving closer. "Have you not heard the call? Surely you must have since you try to do good everywhere you go."

Julie's eyes widened at what Sammael said. "You…You know?"

"I heard of your exploits but despite your good intentions it hasn't been easy." Sammael remarked with a look of sympathy. "Burning houses, sudden explosions, fire touching everything in your path. You try so hard and each time ends only in destruction everything around you."

Julie was trembling now. "Please…Don't…"

"It's been a difficult time for you, hasn't it?" Sammael asked rhetorically. "Fearing the next person to come near you will be burned by the very power you struggle to control. That is why you run because you are afraid. Afraid of hurting, of burning everyone and everything around you. But it does not have to be this way."

Julie looked up, her eyes curious and begging as she asked. "Really?"

Sammael raised his arms and a circle of fire appeared around them. "You need a teacher. Someone to show you how truly control the mighty powers within you. Like you I can also call upon fire. Feel the heat, breathe it in and take that power, command the flames."

Julie cried out as the flames rose higher. She held up her hands as her eyes flared, the power within her reacting to both the fire circle and Sammael.

"Don't fight, Julie Yamamoto. You cannot run or hide from it!" Sammael said as the flames rose higher. "Take that power and command it. Channel it through you and command the flames."

Julie let out a scream as fire blasted from her hands, colliding with the flame circle but they only grew even larger.

"Yes, let it all out. Don't believe you can take control, know you can take control!" Sammael shouted.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Julie screamed as an aura of pure fire surrounded her and blasted out, colliding with the fire surrounding her and engulfed it.

The cave was lit up in a fiery blast as Sammael conjured an energy shield to protect him and his Mobian allies behind him. When blast faded, Julie stood in the middle of a scorched cave, falling to her knees.

"And just like that, the Fire Elemental releases all of the emotions and power she has bottled up within her." Sammael remarked, gliding forward. "Fire surrounded you and yet you did not burn. Not even a single mark."

Julie looked at herself and seeing she was absolutely fine. She held up her hand and conjured a small flame before putting her other hand on it.

She felt the heat…

But no pain.

Removing her hand she saw there was no burn mark at all.

"How did…" Julie trailed off, looking at her hands. "I really am the Fire Elemental."

"Yes, you are." Sammael said, stopping in front of her. "Fire cannot harm you for you command it."

To prove his point Sammael conjured a flame of his own and held it out to Julie who grasped it, feeling the heat but no pain.

"I control the fire." She waved her hand around it and watched as the flame followed the movements of her hands. "This is…amazing."

"And dangerous." Sammael extinguished the flame. "Fire is literally alive. It brings warmth and light to the world but if not properly care for it either dies or consumes everything within its reach. You struggle to hold it in but the power itself is also alive and cannot be chained."

Julie trembled as she looked up at Sammael. "Then how do I control it? How do I stop it from hurting everyone? Can you teach me?"

"It will not be easy, little one. The Elementals are the most powerful force in the world and that's what makes them the most hunted. If you are not careful than others will come for you to take your power and they will hurt anyone in their way, such as your new friends." Sammael cautioned.

Julie's widened as she thought of Ben and his family. "Ben…He can turn into aliens."

"But can he protect you? Or rather can you protect him?" Sammael asked, watching as Julie stiffened. "Remember Julie, all those envious of power will do anything to take it."

"…" Julie looked at Sammael and was about to speak when she was cut off.

"JULIE!"

Julie looked over her shoulder. "Ben?"

"It seems they have found you." Sammael remarked. "I suppose we should continue our talk at another time."

I strolled forward and held out a small tablet to Julie.

"Remember this, little one. As long as the power within you cannot be controlled, everyone close to you is in danger." Sammael floated back, his misty form starting to fade. "If you wish to help control it, you know how to contact me. I will be waiting."

Sammael vanished and I and Am disappeared into the shadows, leaving Julie alone in the cave.

"Julie!"

The girl looked up, seeing Ben along with Gwen and Max coming towards her with relived smiles on their faces.

"Are you okay?" Ben asked, stopping front of the girl. "We saw the blast. Did you get hurt?"

"Hurt? Oh…no." Julie pocketed the tablet. "I'm okay. I just…I just got cornered by another few bad guys."

"Really?" Ben looked around. "Where are they? Did you fry them?"

Julie winced but shook her head. "No. They ran off."

"Okay, cool." Ben smiled. "Come on. We got some baddies to drop off at the nearest police station."

Julie smiled and nodded, following after Ben and his family, keeping the tablet she had been given in her pocket.

"All right, everyone. Glad you all got the chance to get some snacks. We'll be deciding the next match now." Capital G said as the screen randomly selected the next names.

Scotty Blake versus Agunimon

Agunimon looked to the hulking Scotsman he ran into earlier. 'Crap. I was actually hoping for someone else.'

But rather than complain he nodded to his upcoming opponent who smiled back as they made their way down to the arena.

"He asks to participate and suddenly he's picked next?" Kazemon couldn't tell if this was some crazy coincidence or a sick joke from the cosmos.

"Have faith, Kazemon." Lowemon tried to calm her down. "He promised to forfeit if his wound gets too bad."

"He might have to." Both turned and looked at Extor, a member of Scotty's team. "Our team leader is hailed as one of the most powerful Huntsmen on the planet."

"Dude's leader of an entire clan of warriors from Scotland." Rino continued. "He's not just super strong but got his own brand of magic."

"Glad I wasn't picked to fight him." Keanu remarked.

Raven simply stayed silent while Lowemon and Kazemon both exchanged looks now. Meanwhile Scotty and Agunimon faced each other in the arena as the settings were chosen. Around them came an arena that was half frozen with ice and snow and the other half resembling a volcano with lava spewing up from nearby geysers.

"Let the match begin!" Capital G shouted, signaling the start of the next fight.
