Opening File: Shen Gong Wu

Shen Gong Wu (神工物 Shén gōng wù, lit. "God Work" or "Tool/Thing of God") were powerful magical objects created by Grand Master Dashi. The Shen Gong Wu activated one by one over a long period, and both the Xiaolin and the Heylin had ways of detecting their activation. A Shen Gong Wu was activated when the user said the name of the Shen Gong Wu. Although incredibly powerful, the Shen Gong Wu had limits, and sometimes even ran out of power or just broke altogether.

Dashi had the Shen Gong Wu hidden all over the world after he defeated a powerful Heylin Witch to keep them from being found. However it has recently been discovered that the Fallen, specifically Sammael searched the world for where Dashi had hidden them to find the Shen Gong Wu and destroy them. He had the help of the Fallen known as Umbra at first but the two had a disagreement over the use of the Shen Gong Wu. Umbra wanted to collect and use the Shen Gong Wu even though they were deactivated while Sammael wanted any and all found to be destroyed.

Eventually seeing that Umbra could not be convinced and believed he would hoard them to use them one day Sammael dismissed Umbra, deciding to hunt down the Shen Gong Wu himself. Despite his protests Umbra returned to his hidden domain to continue collecting magical artifacts and tomes, deciding it best to not come between Sammael and his search, knowing at the time that if he chose to go against the Fallen King he would be killed. It is unknown how many Shen Gong Wu were possibly found and destroyed but it is known at least one has been found.

"We live in the future but often we look to the past as the best examples of how to learn. We all know the old saying 'Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it'." TOM lectured as the file closed.

After the match between Scotty Blake and Agunimon a break was called in order to give Living Bullet time to repair the arena which wouldn't be too long for the World's Fastest Man. In the meantime considering that Aldamon had caused a big heatwave that left everyone sweating bullets Major Glory suggested they make sure of the Hall of Heroes facilities to clean up. Everyone had their own rooms complete with a bath and shower so no one mined the idea and thankfully the washing machines here were able to clean their clothes much faster. Turns out that members of the Justice Friends constantly deal with missions that leave their clothes damaged, torn, burnt or just plain dirty so with the help of DexLabs a quick clean machine was invented.

It quickly removed any form of stain from the clothing and best of all it was right in the guest rooms provided to everyone. So almost everyone had their clothes cleaned right after taking a quick shower or bath. Right now most were in the café, getting some much need water because that miniature sun of a battle field left them all parched.

"Hey, North I just noticed something. Why didn't you bring that Black Beetle with ya for the match?" Yara asked when she remembered the thing he bought.

"Didn't need it, but I left it safely back in the Stormfly to prevent it from being stolen." The Mobian replied.

"Uh, something you wanna fill in?" Doyle asked what they were on about. "Black Beetle?"

"An artifact with mystical properties. But more than that, it was one of the creations of Grand Master Dashi. A Shen Gong Wu." North answered.

"It is? I thought they were destroyed or lost after the dude died." Doyle thought as he was familiar with them, heard tales of them but always thought to be a myth.

Rumors thought they were destroyed or hidden somewhere.

"Only a few scattered, and the only ones who know are the grandmasters." North shrugged his shoulders. "Too dangerous to fall into the wrong hands such as the Fallen, so they removed all traces of them, some perhaps were destroyed or lost someplace. Pocket dimension, hidden vault. No clue." He pulled out a picture of the Black Beetle. "I will be sending it back to them; they were pleased to find out about it."

"Oh, can you show us how it works? Please? Please, please, please?" Yara held her hands up, eager to see it just once and went down on one knee.

Chuckling and grinning at North, Ross folded his arms. "You know, she's not gonna stop, right?"

"Hey, I'm interested to find out about what it does." Artemis added.

"Same here." Raven joined in, having overheard about these artifacts he mentioned and sensed some magic from it and his pole.

"Alright then, but will need the JF's permission to do it here, and will need one of your dragons or a fire user to demonstrate." He told them and went off to get it.

"There it is."

Steven was not sure how to respond to how serious Pearl sounded as the Roaming-Eye parked in front of what appeared to be a tower that was sitting at the top of the broken moon.

"Hey, Peridot." Steven called out to the green Gem who was standing behind Pearl. "Can I ask a question?"

She looked at him with quizzical look. "Yes?"

"Well, the moon doesn't like it's all here." Steven began, gesturing to the shattered landscape. "Do you know what broke it?"

"Negative, unfortunately." Peridot answered, activating her finger screens to show a display of the broken moon. "It was like this even before Gems first came to this planet."

"Really? You mean Gems didn't do this?" Steven pondered.

"Hardly. Though when I was given the assignment to come and check on the Cluster I did review the logs made on studying the planet, especially the moon." Peridot answered. "The studies theorize that something crashed into the moon perhaps a few stellar cycles ago."

"Stellar cycles?" Steven asked, not understanding what the term meant.

"It means a few million years ago, Steven." Pearl answered, inputting a code that caused the front doors of the base to open. "Well before Gemkind sent foot on the planet."

"So what caused it?" Steven continued asking.

"No one knows. Whatever impacted the moon obviously was on a collision course and thus it's obvious that whatever crashed into it was destroyed." Peridot stated.

"Actually," Pearl carefully piloted the ship into the base. "There was a theory that whatever impacted the moon also impacted the Earth."

"That's impossible." Peridot protested. "If the meteor was large enough to shatter half the moon it and continue its course it would have impacted and destroyed the Earth. That's not even accounting for the damage it would have suffered on impact with the moon."

"I know but Gem scientists found evidence of something impact a specific part of the Earth that matched up the trajectory of the object's course from here to Earth." Pearl set the ship down. "The object touched down in the land now called America."

"Really? Where in America?" Steven asked, getting excited now. "Can we go see where it landed after this?"

"Well, you kind of already were there." Pearl rubbed the back of her head as she stood up and faced Steven. "The trajectory of the object's course ended in what is now the city called GrimmFall."

"GrimmFall?" Steven gasped. "But it doesn't look like anything crashed there."

"Bear in mind, Steven that this was millions of years. The land and terrain obviously changed through centuries of climate change and changes brought forth by the species living on the planet. The object could have very well created the GrimmFall great lake." Pearl surmised. "Of course we haven't bothered to study that since we chose to build our temple in Beach City. Rose felt it would be better to distance ourselves from the larger human communities at the time. GrimmFall would have been a small village at the time but it was slowly growing."

Plus there was the fact that GrimmFall soon became a haven for the world's best warriors and a magnet for trouble but Pearl saw no need to tell Steven this.

"Cool." Steven smiled happily. "I should tell this to Lapis when we get back. Maybe that might help cheer her up."

"Lapis?" Peridot questioned, having been silent through Pearl's explanation and patiently waiting for it to end so they could get on with their mission. "The same Lapis who was my informant? She's still alive?"

"Oh yeah, we forgot to tell you." Steven realized. "Yeah, she's alive and back on Earth with my Dad and someone who is letting them stay at their house until we're done."

For now it was better that Peridot and Connie don't find out that Lapis had been turned into a human. The poor Gem was still sorting through it herself.

"Seriously?" Peridot groaned. "What has she been doing all this time? I could have used her help in getting out of here."

"That's a discussion for later." Garnet turned to the hatch. "Let's go."

"All right, everyone. Living Bullet has fixed up the sparring arena so we're ready to get on with the next match." Major Glory announced to everyone in the café. "Now we are free to continue and if anyone wants to back out just say so."

No one said so.

"Right. Well, for those who are signed up for sparring today you'd best finish your meals and head back to the arena. Of course there won't be anything starting since Mr. Blake has asked us to wait." Major Glory gestured to Scotty standing next to him.

"Don't worry. You won't be waiting long." Scotty assured everyone.

"Waiting?" Wally asked Scotty. "For who?

"Out of the way. Move it! Out of my WAY!" The crowd dispersed for someone to come through, followed by some security guards with no other than Fanny Fulbright. "Geez, ever heard of personal space?"

"GAH!" Ed screamed as he remembered her from the tournament and jumped behind his friends for cover.

"Now, Fanny what did we say about controlling your voice level. Especially the Hall of Heroes." Following behind the red haired girl was her father, Hal and the CEO of Fulbright Corporation.

"Fanny? What are you doing here?" Nigel asked her as it was awhile since he had seen her during the whole summer.

"Hey, it's that girl Plank and me fought and called her-tmmpp!" Before Johnny could finish his last sentence, he was cut off by Abby and Nigel covering his mouth much to the Peach Creek kids' relief.

"Are you trying to make yourself a target? Or just plain crazy?" Abby asked but somehow felt that was a dumb question considering he talks to a piece of wood.

"I should be asking you lot the same question." Fanny pointed out as she had no idea why they were here until she narrowed her eyes at the bald kid with the wood who beat her in the tournament. "Especially HIM!"

The kids were not so certain how she got in but certainly couldn't say anything.

"Uh, well let's just say we ran into some very nasty groups of villains. And Grimm." Nazz thought about to hide the fact they were abducted by aliens.

Scotty showed up and grinned to see his pupil arrived and easily recognized her loud voice. "Ah, Fanny, you came just in time, lass. Saved us the trouble to pick ya up. Enjoyed most of your summer?"

"Tch, most of it was boring. But that Gravity Falls place is a strange place." Fanny waved her hand to dismiss it. "But got me things all set and ready."

Hal stepped forward to greet him. "Glad to see you back, hope your mission went well."

Scotty nodded and smiled. "Aye, it did. Brought the team for something but also thought be better to bring the lass with me to show her how we in the north and our allies truly fight as huntsman while she still has the summer left."

"You invited her to watch the sparring matches?" Nigel asked, thunderstruck.

"Aye and maybe take a trip or two to see Castle Blake and New Berk while we have the time." Scotty nodded. "But not to worry she'd be under me watch during the trip."

"Hah, I've heard a lot of stories and will show them what I'm made off. Even them horned helmet wearing Vikings and their dragons." Fanny proclaimed.

Scotty gave a chuckle. "You'd get along with them in no time."

Abby leaned towards Nigel to whisper. "I dunno to worry about her or be scared of what she'll become."

"No kidding and that Johnny fellow has to ride with her." He should also feel bad for the one wearing shades and perhaps to give him a heads up.

Speaking of which the Ice Elemental saw him coming with his mother alongside Pops.

"Now remember, don't pick any fights with the Vikings or get into any roughhousing. And eat your meals healthy while under Rossweisse's supervision."

"Oh, mama, I'm only be gone for like a couple of days and show them Vikings I'm the new Thor." Johnny responded with a suitcase in his hand. "Besides, Pops will be there too but not sure about Carl." Not that he was against him, but he heard some rule against outsiders.

"Well, I'll be around later to check on the boy, Bunny. Got word from my good friend from Mexico coming around with some luchadors on a trip, so be a chance to make some quick bucks around with his help." Pops smiled and chuckled just thinking of some ideas for his business.

"Oh that would be nice. As much as I love to come to visit our ancestral roots in Scotland, but I have some people to take care of for the time being." Bunny told them.

"Wait, we have Scottish roots?" This being the first time Johnny heard about this.

"Of course! Didn't I tell you a few times? It was the home of Clan Bravo." Bunny said.

"Ah, so that's why I liked this lad other than his humor." Scotty grinned after finding out about this. "He certainly got some spunk facing me when he defended your honor."

"Well, my boy does love his mother." Bunny took it a compliment and happy to know he defended her name. "Now I better go, do me proud, Johnny."

Johnny gave her a salute. "Yes, ma'am. And love you."

"Aw, love you to. But don't try to ride a dragon OR bring one home." She said, waving her finger at him.

"Aw! But that kid in the green jacket brought one home with him!" Johnny told her, earning some snickering from a few over his response.

His mother crossed her arms. "Well he's going to have to learn to take care of it responsibly if he's going to keep it, and you have other responsibilities before thinking of getting a pet. And how will his parents respond to this? Usually a kid his age would have a dog, cat or a fish."

Major Glory walked over to Kazemon and Lowemon as they entered. "How is Agunimon?"

"Sleeping now. That fight wore him out more than anything else in the last week." Lowemon answered but was optimistic this time. "But now he's in better condition than before that fight."

Major Glory nodded. "I shouldn't be surprised. An Aura Ascendant's abilities are…amazingly unlimited as much as they are unknown."

"You knew he could do that?" Kazemon asked.

"I heard rumors of what people like him could do but never seen it up close." Major Glory replied. "Professor Extor explained both the benefits and cost of using such power which is why the others and myself don't try to learn this power. Not only would it take years but it's hard to say if we could properly master this power."

"Whoa, look at me! I'm a moon boy!"

Steven found himself floating in a very large and dark room with walls decorated with what appeared to be large murals.

Connie was next to float off the ground when she exited the Roaming-Eye. "Could someone help me?"

Garnet stretched out an arm and reached up to Connie, pulling her down. She looked uneasy but managed to say. "Thank you."

Amethyst ran over to Steven. "Haha, alright moon boy! She tried to jump and float in the air like Steven, but instead fell to the floor, letting out a grunt on impact.

"Moon boy quadruple back flip!" Steven shouted, doing a back flip.

"Hey! Why can't I be a moon boy?" Amethyst complained.

"We're Gems? We're a space-faring race designed to conquer other worlds. Our physical forms adjust automatically to the gravity of any planetoid." Peridot answered with a scoff as she stepped out of the ship.

"Ahhh, lame." Amethyst groaned.

"I was bouncing on the moon one day! Umph!" Steven sang before slamming against a wall with a mural on it. He fell to the ground and looked up, seeing the mural of what appeared to be a tall, blue elegant woman with small orbs held out in front of her. "Huh? Hey Peridot, who is this supposed to be?"

Peridot gasped as she walked up to. "It's Blue Diamond! Wait! Are they all here?" She looked around and spotted a yellow mural. "Ahh yes! There she is!"

"Who?" Steven asked, following the green gem as she ran over to another mural, this one being yellow but the woman was just as regal.

"Behold! Yellow Diamond! Isn't she magnificent?!" Peridot proclaimed.

"Wow... so who are the Diamonds anyway?" Steven asked. "They seem like a big deal."

"Are you joking me?!" Peridot could not believe what she was hearing. "The Diamonds are the Gem matriarchs! Together they make up the Great Diamond Authority that governs Homeworld and all the outlying colonies! We live to serve them!"

Garnet walked up behind Peridot while still holding Connie who looked at the pink mural but said nothing, clearing her throat in annoyance, and glared at Peridot who laughed nervously.

I mean, we were all made to serve them, even though some of us... don't anymore..." Peridot paused. "Hey, I think that's a control service over there!" She pointed across the room. "Let's take a look."

Steven followed Peridot. "Yeah!"

Garnet with Connie and Amethyst walked over to Peridot, who was inspecting a panel on the floor.

"I think this is right. The material is different from the surrounding stone. I think if I just do this..." Peridot moved her hands across the panel and it lights up.

It and several others panels begin to rise around the room to create a set of stairs.

Peridot then giggled excitedly in the discovery as everyone began walking up the stairs. "This is so incredible. Only the most elite of the elite can enter these sanctums. We are literally walking in the footsteps of the diamonds!"

"They must really like stairs." Steven commented.

Just as Steven said those words something rolled down the stairs, slamming into the Gems and their human charges, knocking them all to the bottom of the stairs. The object that hit them rolled over them and spun around, uncurling itself to reveal…

Steven groaned as he sat up and looked at the attacker. "Is that a…robot rabbit?"

It did indeed look like a rabbit only it was much bigger, its height the same size as Amethyst with the same kind of build. It wore what appeared to be a metallic suit with yellow glowing eyes.

"Halt, intruders." The robot rabbit spoke. "I am Foo-Foo the Guardian."

"Foo-Foo?" Amethyst snickered as she stood up. "Who names their robot Foo-Foo?"

"That's not a robot!" Peridot shouted, activating her arm cannon. "That's a Foo-Foo!"

She fired her arm cannon at the rabbit like alien but it easily dodged. It started hopping around the giant room, jumping from the floor to the walls so fast that it was a mere blur.

"Peridot, what are you doing?" Steven cried out, grabbing Peridot by her other arm. "It's just a robot rabbit!"

"It's not a robot!" Peridot said again, shoving Steven away as she continued to shoot. "That's a Foo-Foo!"

"You already said that." Amethyst stated. "What's so bad about it?"

"Foo-Foos are a race of mercenaries and they are an ecological nightmare. They eat and reproduce in large numbers!" Peridot hastily explained. "Just one is enough to spawn an entire army."

"An army?" Pearl asked in alarm.

"We have to destroy all of them because if two of them survive they will be a hundred times stronger in a cycle!" Peridot exclaimed.

From the stairs came more Foo-Foos that gathered around the Gems, surrounding them.

"Gems!"

"Unwelcome."

"I, Foo-Foo the Terminator will destroy them."

"We can gain a reward from their shards."

"The Plutarkians pay a billion for just single shard."

"Silence!" A voice shouted from above, quieting the Foo-Foos. "Bring them to our leader."

Peridot growled as she kept her arm blaster trained on the Foo-Foos surrounding them. "This is a Gem base, belonging to the Gem Empire. Leave now or you will be-"

A Foo-Foo held out a gun seemingly made of and fired an electrical blast that hit Peridot head on, causing her to scream as her Limb Enhancers broke apart and her form vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving her gemstone.

"Can we shatter her?" A Foo-Foo asked, reaching out for the gemstone.

"No!" Steven quickly grabbed the green gem and held it tight to his chest.

"Bring them to our leader!" The voice from before said again in a louder tone of voice.

The Foo-Foos quieted down and aimed pulled out weapons and blades made of light, pointing them all at the Gems.

"Up the stairs." They ordered.

"We can take them." Amethyst pulled out her whip but one Foo-Foo sliced through it with a light blade. "Hey!"

"Up the stairs!" The Foo-Foos ordered again.

"Do as they say." Garnet said, not seeing a future where they escaped…

Without most of them dying.

The group walked up the stairs with the Foo-Foos following behind them. Along the way they entered a room with only a single mysterious object in the middle of it.

"Hey, what's this room?" Steven asked but was shoved forward by a Foo-Foo. "Hey!"

"Move."

Everyone ignored the mysterious object and continued up the stairs. They eventually made it to the top of the towering base.

"We really are on the moon. " Steven gasped in awe.

The room's walls were made of a see through glass that allowed them to see the Earth, the shattered surface of the moon and the vastness of space.

"Indeed you are."

Steven and the others looked in the direction of the voice, seeing the person sitting on a marble white throne in the center of the room with a pristine looking table in front of it. The person sitting on the throne was not a Foo-Foo or even a Gem. He looked like a man with grey colored skin, wearing a golden helmet with a golden cape and armored shorts with golden gloves and boots finishing the outfit. His eyes were white and had blue sclera.

"Welcome to the Moon Sentinel Tower." The man stated with a smile, rising from the throne and placing his hands behind his back. "I am General Lunaris of the planet Shattered Moon."
