Opening File: Beast Boy
Beast Boy, sometimes referred to as B.B. s a former member of the Doom Patrol and one of the five founding members of the Teen Titans. Beast Boy's parents, Mark and Marie Logan, were geneticists that would travel the jungles of the world to study their wildlife. Beast Boy was brought up in the jungles of Brazil, Africa, India, and several other places. The Logans particularly became interested in a rare species of green monkeys, but the day they finally found them, something terrible happened.
Beast Boy was bitten by one of the monkeys and contracted a serious illness called Sakutia. To save him, his parents attempted to cure him with a new serum, which bestowed him with his shape-changing abilities. As a side effect, his skin, hair, and eyes turned green. Later in his life, Beast Boy's parents died in a boating accident. After they died, Beast Boy was interested in a superhero team called the Doom Patrol and was determined to join them.
He broke into their headquarters and was treated as an intruder, but his efforts to escape capture impressed them, thus earning his membership on the team. Beast Boy was originally the youngest member of the Doom Patrol. However Mento's harsh discipline and less-than-encouraging attitude finally alienated him from his surrogate family, and he struck out on his own. Looking for a new place to live, he came to Jump City, where he encountered Robin, Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg and aided them in liberating Starfire from her Gordanian captors.
Afterward, the five formed a new team on their own, the Teen Titans. Throughout his career with the Titans Beast Boy keeps exhibiting a very carefree jokester attitude which often causes a great deal of trouble, but he does have a strong sense for responsibility, which he rarely exhibits, though. Beast Boy plays the role of the lighthearted jokester of the group, though he is often the butt of many jokes or backfiring pranks himself. He is playful, energetic, and often immature.
When the other Titans are focused on important details he is usually the first to break in with a preposterous suggestion or an unnecessary joke. Due to this, others sometimes view him as immature, thickheaded, and cumbersome. However, he continually proves invaluable with his kindness and battle prowess. Although he jokes most of the time, Beast Boy can be hot-headed and serious when pushed over the edge.
When the Titans clash with the old enemies of the Doom Patrol, the Brotherhood of Evil, Beast Boy begins to focus a lot more on the mission at hand and displays a new sincere side of himself. Some people believe that Beast Boy wears a mask of laughter and happiness to disguise his sadness at what has happened in the past. This would likely mean his interactions with his teammates are due to being around people his age where he can act carefree. Having transformed into most of the meat-producing animals, Beast Boy has lost his taste for meat and is now a vegetarian, which often gets him arguing with the others (especially Cyborg) because he constantly attempts to have the others adopt his culinary taste as well.
Beast Boy can transform his body into any known animal on Earth, past and present. He has also been known to change into alien life forms on occasion. Beast Boy can always revert back to his human form at any time of his choosing, or shift into numerous animal forms in rapid succession. Beast Boy is incapable of speech in animal form unless he takes the form of an animal that can talk, such as a parrot, and his "natural" green coloring remains the same in any form, making him easily recognizable.
He seems to possess a degree of heightened senses in his default human form, having hearing sensitive enough to detect a stealthily approaching enemy.

Opening File: Miss Martian
Miss Martian is Martian and apparently a survivor from when the entire Martian population was wiped out by the Imperium except for J'onn J'onzz. She pestered Batman to gain membership in the Justice League. She assists with searching through Starboy's mind to learn about the Fatal Five, seeing statues of the Justice League in a museum that includes her, confirming she does get in at some point. After the defeat of the Five and Starboy's sacrifice, Miss Martian is granted membership into the League by Batman as a reward for her bravery against such powerful foes.
Miss Martian was born when Mars was invaded by the Imperium. While it was believed all Martians were wiped out the Imperium kept a small number alive to experiment on them, attempting to harvest Martian DNA to gain an immunity to sunlight. This led to the creation of Martian hybrids that later became known as White Martians. After the Imperium was driven from Earth they returned to Mars, finding the Martians they kept alive still in captivity and continued the experimentation.
Miss Martian, also known by her birth name M'gann M'orzz was born a White Martian and showed great skills even as a child. Her telepathy powers from her Martian inheritance allowed her to call for help all the way from Mars and was answered J'onn J'onzz, the hero on Earth known as the Martian Manhunter. Leading a rescue mission J'onn found that he was not truly the last Martian and saved the survivors from the Imperium, ending its reign of terror once and for all. With the Imperium defeated for good the surviving Martians could rest and rebuild their civilization.
Despite having the option to stay J'onn chose to return to Earth, knowing he had responsibilities to his other home and M'gann chose to come with him, since he was the one who rescued her and her parents had been killed in the war. She chose to follow her 'uncle' in his footsteps, adopting the name Miss Martian and become a member of the Justice League. While her uncle is more stoic Miss Martian is more hot-headed, acting somewhat like an Earth teenage and better fits in but relies on her uncle to teach her what life was like on Mars before the Invader.

Opening File: Mary Jane Watson
Mary Jane Watson, or simply known as MJ is a beautiful woman and the love of Peter Parker's life. As a child, Mary Jane grew up in a home with a verbally abusive father. Mary Jane's father then walked out on her and her mother. Sometime after this, Mary Jane went to live with her Aunt Anna.
It is unknown what happened to her mother. As a teenager, Mary Jane began dating Morris Bench. However, after spending some time with him, she realized that he was a big jerk and broke up with him. When May Parker learned that Mary Jane moved off next door with Anna Watson, she attempted to set the two of them up on a blind date.
However, Peter Parker was against the blind date because he felt that blind dates were like winning the lottery 'The odds are so stacked against you your nuts if you expect to ever hit the jackpot.' However, Aunt May forced him to go on a date with her. When Mary Jane arrived at May's house Peter opened the door and saw how beautiful Mary Jane was. Mary Jane then told Peter 'Face it, tiger. you just hit the jackpot.'
Mary Jane later received a letter from her father saying that he wanted to meet her. However, unknown to Mary Jane the letter was really sent by Baron Mordo who wanted to use her to free his master, Dormammu, from the Dark Dimension onto Earth. Mordo then brainwashed Mary Jane and had her join a cult called the Center for Reunification. Mordo then had Mary Jane and some other cultist break into the Sanctum Sanctorum to steal the Wand of Watoomb which could be used to open a portal to the Dark Dimension to free Dormammu.
However, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange were able to stop Mary Jane and the other cultist from stealing the Wand of Watoomb. Peter Parker later broke into the Center for Reunification to free Mary Jane. However, Mary Jane's brainwashing was so severe that she sounded an alarm and Peter was captured by the cultist. Doctor Strange later used his magic to make Mary Jane see what her father was really like.
Doctor Strange then told Mary Jane that Mordo used her feelings for her father as a way to control her. However, Mary Jane was dragged into the Dark Dimension by Dormammu. Spider-Man attempted to save her but Doctor Strange stopped Spider-Man and told him that Dormammu had to be accepted into their world by one of his followers and that Mary Jane must reject Dormammu.
While in the Dark Dimension, Dormammu shapeshifted in to Philip Watson and tried to convince Mary Jane to release him onto Earth. However, Mary Jane was able to see through Dormammu's tricks and refused to invite him to Earth. Mary Jane then went back to Earth and Doctor Strange used the Wand of Watoomb to seal the portal to the Dark Dimension. Mary Jane and Peter eventually got back together.
Around this time Green Goblin had learned that Spider-Man was really Peter and was tormenting his foe by attacking the people closest to him. Green Goblin abducted Mary Jane from her home to use as bait to lure Spider-Man to the George Washington Bridge. After defeating Green Goblin, Spider-Man called out to Madame Web and begged her to bring Mary Jane back. However, Madame Web refused and told Peter that this was another lesson he had to learn.
At that moment inside limbo, Mary Jane called out for help but no one was around to hear her.

Opening File: The Green Goblin
Norman Osborn and his partner, Mendel Stromm, were coerced into creating a formula for the Kingpin that grants superhuman strength. An unstable reaction resulted during one experiment and Norman disappeared in the explosion, presumed dead. His son Harry blamed the Oscorp stockholders J. Jonah Jameson, Anastasia Hardy, and Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin) among others for the death of his father.
Soon a mysterious airborne figure, identifying himself as the Green Goblin, began kidnapping the stockholders one by one. Spider-Man uncovered an underwater base where the Goblin intended to kill everyone he had kidnapped. Fighting the Goblin, Spider-Man unmasked him, only to discover that the Green Goblin was Norman Osborn, rather than the suspected identity of his son, Harry. Amnesia ensued and Norman was unable to remember his dual identity.
The following morning at OsCorp, he announced that he will no longer build chemical weapons, much to the Kingpin's secret dismay. Osborn appeared as himself again at an engagement party for Harry, who was going to marry Mary Jane Watson. However, the party was crashed by Alistair Smythe, recreated as a cyborg under the Kingpin's machinations, and Smythe kidnapped Norman, his son and Mary Jane, bringing them back to the Kingpin's lair. There, the Kingpin reveals to Osborn that Spencer Smythe did not die in the explosion back in The Spider Slayer, but that he escaped early on before the explosion ensued at OsCorp and was met up by the Kingpin.
But rather than killing him outright for his failure with the Spider Slayer's goal to kill Spider-Man, the Kingpin sees that he may still have some future use for Spencer, so he places him in chronological suspension. Spider-Man overhears this and tells this to Alistair, who turns on the Kingpin completely, destroys his lair and takes his chronologically suspended father away with him, thus ending whatever relationship the Kingpin and Alistair had between each other. Spider-Man managed to have saved Norman, Harry and Mary Jane, but unfortunately for Harry, Mary Jane decided to call off her engagement with Harry to be with Peter Parker. Norman Osborn started to see the Green Goblin in all reflections and becomes him again after being threatened by the Kingpin that if he did not reveal the Hobgoblin's identity, who the crime boss was currently in league with, then Harry will suffer the consequences.
He and the Hobgoblin clash over Dr. Ohn's Time Dilation Accelerator, which was what the Hobgoblin possessed that lured the Kingpin into an alliance with him. Near the end, the Green Goblin tracks the Hobgoblin down to Jason Phillip Macandale's home, since the Goblin knew from prior knowledge as Norman Osborn that Macandale was actually the Hobgoblin. So he kidnaps Macandale and his fiancé, Felicia Hardy, with the Time Dilation Accelerator, takes them to OsCorp and ties them up over a chemical vat to slowly lower them there to their doom. But Spider-Man arrives just in time for a brief fight with the Green Goblin, saves Macandale and Felicia and nearly destroys the Time Dilation Accelerator with one of the Goblin's weapons.
But, seeing that there is still some power left in the Accelerator, the Goblin takes his chances into a portal, stating to Spider-Man beforehand that he'd rather be trapped in limbo than be defeated again by the superhero. However the Goblin manages to make it back into his own dimension because the Accelerator had more power than either him or Spider-Man thought, and he starts to modify the machine while plotting the downfall of his enemies like Spider-Man and the Kingpin (the Hobgoblin is now jailed at this point because of his identity of Jason Macandale now revealed). The Green Goblin finds out Spider-Man's secret identity with the Time Dilation Accelerator. As Osborn, he nearly reveals Peter's identity as the superhero in front of everyone at Harry's birthday party, but when Peter catches on, he causes a fire that abruptly interrupts Osborn.
Next, Spider-Man and the Green Goblin's ensuing fight goes from Osborn's home atop the George Washington Bridge. But at the Bridge, the Green Goblin uses the Accelerator again, implying that he will go to Peter's Aunt May's home to kill her. But by the time Spider-Man arrives, the Goblin appears and tells him that he decided to switch targets, implying that he is intending to kidnap Mary Jane. The Goblin succeeds in this task and takes her back to the George Washington Bridge, where he and Spider-Man have their final confrontation.
And during the battle, both Mary Jane and the Time Dilation Accelerator fall over a ledge, and the machine is accidentally activated, creating a portal which MJ falls into. Neither Spider-Man or the Goblin know what happened, which makes Spider-Man assume that MJ possibly died and vows vengeance on the Green Goblin. The villain tries to escape using the Accelerator again, but finds that it is almost out of power. Nevertheless, he manages to reactivate it before Spider-Man could reach him, but accidentally creates an unstable portal that sucks anything in its path inside.
Spider-Man initially tries to push the Goblin in, but he then realizes that vengeance will not bring Mary Jane back, so he tries to save the Goblin. But the villain activates his glider to attack Spider-Man from behind to push both of them into limbo. However, Spider-Man's spider sense tingles, warning him of the glider coming in, so he dodges it, and the glider hits the Green Goblin in the chest where the Time Dilation Accelerator is situated, thus destroying it and pushing the Goblin into limbo all by himself, where the unstable portal finally ceases to be.

Opening File: Ebon
Ebon, real name Ivan Evans, was a juvenile delinquent and gang banger from Dakota. He was affected by the Quantum Vapor, gaining a silhouette appearance and shadow-based powers. Ebon was one of Static's arch-enemies in his years as a young superhero. Desiring control, Ebon continually tried to recruit Bang Babies to join his Metahuman gang, the Meta-Breed.
Ivan Evans spent time in juvenile hall in his teens, and after getting out, he went straight back to his old life. He was a nobody, desperately trying to become big in crime. This led to arguments with his younger brother, Adam, and their father. As any gang banger in Dakota, Ivan was at the docks at the night of the Big Bang.
The gas changed him into a living shadow, and he named himself Ebon to reflect his inner darkness. Now that he had power, he started to build a gang around himself, the Meta-Breed, from which he became the leader. He 'collected' those Bang Babies that were so horribly misshapen and deformed by the gas that they could not return to their old lives. His first clash with Static occurred when he tried to recruit track star Derek Barnett into the breed.
He tried to get Static to join as well, but was rebuffed, and after Static persuaded Derek (now D-Struct) that being a criminal would only destroy what little chance of a future he had, suffered his first defeat at Static's hands. Ebon was a bitter opponent of both Static and his brother, who had also been exposed to the gas and was now Rubberband Man. He first tried to frame Rubberband Man, giving him no option but to turn to crime, but was thwarted when Static exposed the scheme. He was also a staunch enemy of all attempts to revert the effects of the Big Bang, and tried to recreate the explosion twice.
With the cure sprayed into the atmosphere, Ebon lost his powers. Desperate not to be nothing again like he was before the Big Bang and enraged in the abandonment of his oldest ally, Talon, he teamed up with Hotstreak and several other Bang Babies to recreate the Big Bang once more. Unfortunately, the plan backfired, and Hotstreak stole the gas for himself. Ebon pursued him and the two fought, setting off the gas. Ebon and Hotstreak absorbed too much gas, fusing together into an abominable two-headed monster, which possessed both of their powers.
They were defeated by Static and Gear, and were later lost at the bottom of the harbor. Their ultimate fate is unknown.

Opening File: Hotstreak
Hotstreak was the leader of one of the gangs at the Dakota docks when the Big Bang occurred, and one of Static's arch-enemies along with Ebon. Hotstreak's status as one of Static's earliest enemies began before the Big Bang even occurred. Francis Stone, also known as F-Stop, was a vicious bully gang leader, who targeted Virgil Hawkins, leading to his brief involvement with a rival gang. When tensions boiled; an all-out Gang war broke out at the docks.
Frances was exposed to the Quantum Vapor. After the Big Bang, Francis was arrested and then taken to the hospital. He escaped from the hospital shortly thereafter in a fiery scene, and took off to take advantage of his new powers. Adopting a new alias as Hotstreak he plagued Dakota and came a frequent tussles with Static.
When Dr. Todd's Bang Baby cure was threatening to remove their powers, Hotstreak teamed up with Ebon to steal the last of the Bang Baby gas. Ebon and Hotstreak fought over the final vial of gas and became merged into one giant Bang Baby—throwing shadows and fire all over Dakota's docks. With Static and Gear being the only two remaining Bang Babies, they were able to take down Ebon and Hotstreak—but whether they're still lurking somewhere in Dakota's waters is unknown.

" You're gonna have to dig deep and find that extra positivity to keep the grind from grinding you. Whether that's staying positive when everything seems against you or being positive and helping someone else out. There's one thing I'm sure of, positivity will be your light in the darkness. Now let's get back out there and keep fighting the fight."

"Yo, Raven. You in there?"
Beast Boy knocked on Raven's door, knowing how much the empath valued her privacy but dinner was almost ready.
"Cy made me promise I wouldn't make Tofu dogs for you."
Something was not right.
Usually Raven would have slid the door open just a few inches to show her face by now. His ears weren't just for show, they allowed him to hear better than a normal human being.
And right now they were telling him that nothing was moving in that room.
No movement.
No breathing.
Not even a heartbeat.
"Raven?" Beast Boy tried one more time. "Are you…still here?"
Something was really not right.
That was when he heard a noise from inside Raven's room. A strange kind of loud humming noise that shook not only the room but the entire hallway.
"RAVEN!" Beast Boy made a mental note to apologize to Raven for opening the door to her room without her permission again just as he flung open the door…
Just in time for a golden hand to grab his face and he immediately blacked out after that.

"Peter?"
She had no idea where she was.
She was just floating in this strange voice, unable to stop as she fell without end.
She could not call for help.
She could not find a way out.
It looked she would fall forever…
Until there was a light and a golden hand reached out to her.

He laughed as he fell into the void.
And laughed even louder as he fell into the light along with his device.
Xxx
"I want that gas."
He spun around, holding gas canister but held his ground. "Back off, Ebon. It's mine now. I'm giving the orders."
Ebon did not take kindly to those words and immediately jumped him, slamming him into the wall and then throwing him to the ground. The gas canister fell out of his hand as he and Ebon fought, releasing the gas into the air. Behind the door, a teenage girl with orange spotted the fight but ran as she saw the gas spreading out. As the gas engulfed them Ebon became a living shadow again while Hotstreak's eyes blaze.
But it didn't end there.
Both of them started to grow and combine…
The girl stopped by a door, seeing a spark and heard a familiar voice.
"What are you doing?"
"Stand back. Maybe I can whip up one more blast. One, two-Huh?"
Luckily she did him a favor and opened the door.
"Of course, that also works." The hero known as Static said before rushing out of the room.
"Ebon and Hotstreak set off the gas. It's going to flood the whole ship." The girl said.
"You better get out of here." Static suggested.
"No kidding." And with that she ran as fast as she could.
Once she was gone, Static's friend Gear turned to him. "What do we do?"
"Whatever it takes to stop Ebon." Was the answer.
As they reached the door it let out an explosion of gas, spreading over them and making it difficult to breath for a second.
And just like that, as if turning on a light switch Static felt his powers returning to him, stronger and more powerful than before.
His powers flared and blew away the gas before he turned to his friend, helping his friend to his feet.
"Bro, you got your powers again." Gear said happily, looking down at his backpack as it crawled back onto…his back.
"Hey, looks like you do too." Static said.
"Oh yeah." Gear said as numbers fell across his visor. "I can interpret the data stream again. Brain Boy is back."
"Come on, we got to find Ebon and Hotstreak." Static said, focusing on the task at hand.
That was when the door was smashed open by a mass of shadowy tendrils.
"What…Is that?" Gear asked as the tendrils vanished back into the room.
Static and Gear rushed into the room, only to find it empty with a big hole in the ceiling. The two rushed out and flew to the top of the ship to find what had made that hole.
BOOM!
Only for it to find them by smashing its way through the deck.
"Whoa."
It was a mass of darkness and fire, a giant monster with two heads that both let out a loud screech.
"It's…Ebon and Hotstreak." Static realized. "They must have sucked up so much gas they fused together."
"Whoa." Gear said before both flew out of the way of the streams of fire the creature released from its mouth.
A fight broke out between the two heroes and the two headed beast, culminating in Static throwing a fuel tank at the monster and causing an explosion, sending it and the remains of the ship to the bottom of the water.
And right into a golden portal.

Ross Noften & Rolf Vorlik verses Keanu Grier & Rino
Ross and Rolf stood next to each other, facing down Keanu and Rino as the screens showed the setting for the battle: a coliseum.
Immediately the platforms shifted, changing into a desert based ground with the dirt to go with it. Barriers came online to keep the fight contained while allowing everyone a perfect view of the final match.
"You sure you are up for this?" Ross asked, glancing at his sparring partner. "That cane is brand new and you've haven't much experience with it."
"Poppycock! In Rolf's village a wee baby knows how to fight in their sleep. And Rolf is always prepared." Rolf said as he reached into his pants and pulled out a dead scaly, slimy fish.
Everyone in the entire arena just stared as Rolf smacked the fish in his free hand like a baseball bat.
"Rolf has been trained to use any kind of weapon on any threat that comes our way, even with a sticky smelly fish." Rolf said, smacking the fish into his hand once more.
"Do…You always carry a dead fish in your pocket?" Ross asked, stepping back as he realized why the smell of dead fish was always radiating from the Son of a Shepard.
"Yes! What? Is that strange?"
Up in the audience Abby pinched her nose with a look of disgust. "No wonder I was always smelling dead fish on him."
"That explains a lot." Nigel remarked dryly.
"Seriously." Doyle flinched.
"Still doesn't smell as bad as Beast Boy's room." Raven muttered quietly. "Or Scotty's breath."
"HA!" Scotty laughed. "You'd need a can anchovy paste to do better!"
"Smelt like when we were feeding dragons back home." Erika muttered.
Wally looked to the Peach Creek kids. "Your friend is weird. You know that?"
"We know." Nazz, Kevin and Jonny said while Ed simply smiled while Nazz continued. "But next to Ed, Rolf is the toughest kid in Peach Creek. He's been helping us train how to defend ourselves so we can become Hunters."
"He'll have his hands full with Keanu and Rino." Extor pointed out. "Aside from Scotty both are heavy hitters on our team. Keanu specializes in close range while Rino is long range."
"Aye." Scotty nodded. "Keanu is an Iado master and if your friend is not careful he could be sliced in two under a second."
Raven frowned at that but said nothing, agreeing with Extor and Scotty's assessments of their teammates. She already fought Rino once back in the ruins of Discordia and learned firsthand his briefcase was suited for multi-tasking combined with Rino's own Semblance and cunning. She underestimated him in their fight but luckily while Rino was a thief he was not a killer, especially a killer of the female category. Keanu on the other hand was cocky and was as much a show-off as Beast Boy but he had the skills to back up his claims.
His Semblance made it impossible for anyone to sneak up on him and he utilized quick slashes with his sword before anyone could realize he was on to them.
All in all, Extor was right about how deadly they would be together.
"Let the final match…" Capital G brought his hand down. "BEGIN!"
(Yin-Yang by USS (Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker) Starts)
Rino started off by transforming his suitcase into a gatling gun, taking aim and fired as soon as the match began. Ross and Rolf immediately dashed in opposite directions, evading the gun fire and then charged at their two opponents from either side.
"Just rushing to meet the opponent they pick one on one? Ross is better than that." Yara frowned.
"Remember he's partnered with someone he just met. It's not easy to form a bond between teammates." North cautioned. "These bonds must be forged in the heat of battle, testing their strength and resolve."
"If they can't get along, too bad. It doesn't matter as long as you and your buddies can get the job done." Doyle remarked. "Fail to work together-"
"And you're finished." Erika remarked with crossed arms.
As soon as Ross and Rolf were close enough Keanu swiped them with his sword but both jumped over him. Rolf faced Rino while Ross spun and clashed his swords with Keanu's.
"Not bad." Da Samurai complimented with a smile. "Thought for a second you guys wouldn't last very long."
"Trust me. I don't plan on going down easily." Ross remarked.
In the meantime Rolf swung his cane at Rino casually blocked with his suitcase.
"So that's the magical cane?" Rino asked, easily blocking or deflecting Rolf's strikes.
Rino would dodge and counter Rolf's attacks, showing that while he preferred long range he was not afraid to fight up close and personal.
"Rolf's actually having trouble." Nazz commented. "He took on the Kanker sisters and didn't even flinch."
"Shouldn't his magic stick be helping?" Kevin asked.
"It ain't that simple." Scotty answered. "That cane was originally meant for one thing and one thing only."
"Sealing the evil deity known as Crom Cruach." Extor stated. "But he is dead now."
"Exactly." Scotty nodded. "So what can it do now that it's original purpose is gone?"
"The magic is still there and it can respond to him." Raven stated, having felt the magic in the final battle with Crom. "Magic responds to the will of the one who wields it. If his will is strong then…"
Rolf let out a battle cry his staff glowed brighter with each second as he fought until finally he exploded in a blast of light that knocked Rino back.
KAPEWWWWWWWW!
"Whoa!" Everyone watched in amazement from the magical blast.
Rino managed to get back onto his feet and pressed a switch on his suitcase, activating a light shield as a bolt of lightning shot from Rolf's staff.
CRACKLE!
"You mean like that?" Doyle asked dryly.
ZAP!
Rolf fired several more bolts of white lightning as Rino took off, blocking the blasts with his shield.
"Well, isn't this a surprise." Rino muttered to himself as he blocked another lightning blast.
Still, he wasn't that much worried.
In the meantime Keanu and Ross continued their battle, seemingly even through skill and the use of their Semblances. Ross used his Semblance of Foresight to help predict Keanu's moves while Keanu's Ultrasound enhanced his reflexes, allowing him to dodge, block or parry Ross' swords no matter what he did. Ross stepped back and slashed at Keanu with his left blade, following up with an identical sweep with his right immediately after. Keanu caught the first blade and shoved it aside, catching the second one and then ducking under a third slash and spinning past Ross when the leader of Team REYN swung both blades at him.
Keanu's sword clashed with Ross' twin swords and they locked for a second before both stepped back. Keanu preformed an upward swing that Ross caught before it hit his knee and lashed out with his other blade. Keanu changed the angle of his sword so that it was pointing down, catching the sword without breaking the lock. Ross pushed Keanu with both swords but Keanu whipped his blade into a spin that knocked his opponent's swords to the side and leapt at him.
Ross hastily blocked three downward slashes that pushed him back and Keanu swung low again and whipped around when it was blocked, sweeping from the other side. Ross grunted as he was shocked aside aimed for a stab to the chest with a simultaneous swing at the neck. Keanu's sword flew up, catching the stabbing blade and swiped it upwards so that Ross' slashing sword was blocked by its own counterpart. Keanu then followed up with a kick to the midsection, knocking his opponent back.
"Nice to see Keanu has kept up with his training." Extor remarked. "His ability to somehow combine dancing with swordsmanship still astounds me."
"Dancing?" Yara asked, glancing at the scientist.
"Keanu is a natural show off so he wanted to do something that would make him famous. " Scotty explained. "He found a way to incorporate dancing into his sword technique. Makes him agile and unpredictable."
Keanu noticed Rino was having a bit of trouble with Rolf and got an idea. He held up his sword at the right angle that light was reflected off of it and Rino immediately noticed, getting the idea. Just as another lightning bolt hit him Rino vanished in a flash of light.
"Wha-" Rolf was so surprised as he failed to notice Rino emerging from Keanu's sword just Ross jumped back into the fight.
Rino swung his suitcase at Ross before he could react, shoving both swords away and unloaded several rounds of sticky gel that covered Ross up to his head.
"What in the world?" Fanny gasped by the sudden surprise.
"Rino's Semblance can allow him to escape through any reflective surface." Scotty explained. "Him and Keanu are good teammates that way. Rino can shift through the reflective surface on one side of Keanu's sword and come out the other way."
"It makes for effective surprise attacks." Extor adjusted his goggles.
Keanu spun around, facing Rolf who swung his magical cane and they both clashed. Rolf quickly unleashed several combos but Keanu dodged or blocked them with his skill and agility. Rino jumped out from behind Keanu and fired a round that Rolf blocked…
But then the shattered round released dozens of sigils that surrounded Rolf and latched onto him, binding him and forcing him to drop the cane.

"Whoa." Kevin muttered, sharing the same surprised look as everyone who watched how the match ended.
"What are those things?" Nazz asked.
"Special sigils designed to subdue people with magic." Scotty answered. "Rino prides himself on being prepared for just about anything, even magic users."
Raven said nothing as she remembered those sigils from when Rino used them on her. As much as it annoyed her to have lost to who she considered to be this universe's equivalent of Red X she had to remember that as powerful as she was. She knew better now and would be more careful in the future.
"How could Ross have lost without taking at least one of them down with him?" Yara wondered, surprised by the outcome of the fight. "He's too good to have lost like that."
"Remember, Ross was partnered with someone he had only just met and had no clue of his abilities. As skilled as he was both he and the boy were outmatched since Keanu and Rino have been teammates long enough to know their moves and how to perform the necessary teamwork." North stated as he crossed his arms. "This was precisely the reason Sebben set up these matches. So that we would be tested on how well we'd adapt to suddenly working with a new partner instead of the ones we are used to."
"The others did well." Yara pointed out.
"As I recall, Kazemon had known Valhallen long enough to trust him. Sebben had plenty of experience and you, Yara are mainly the support type not the forward aggressive type." North pointed out. "Ross' Semblance can allow him to see outcomes but its weakness is if someone is strong or fast enough to counter his Foresight it can backfire."
"True. Ross is good but I figured out how to counter his Semblance long ago."
Everyone turned around to see a beautiful red haired woman in a skin tight green body suit, standing beside a blond haired woman in a similar red body suit and a black haired woman with dark skin and in a yellow body suit.
"But it's nice to see him," Sam Noften said with a fond smile. "Win or lose."

"Captain we've received word that the defense fleet for Epsilon Eridani has already arrived to its system." One of the officers said.
"Already? I wasn't expecting them arrive so soon." Gantu said. "Who's part of the defense fleet?"
"According to the records volunteers of the Akiridion's reformed Taylon Phalanx and members of the Eliksni House of Stone." The officer replied.
Gantu nodded his head as he understood how they arrived so soon after giving out the request for a defense fleet to guard the mankind's first colony. A few Delsons (that means days) ago word reached the Stellar Alliance that General Val Morando and his insurgents were eliminated allowing House Tarron to reclaim their world though King Fialkov and Queen Coranda had sacrificed themselves to kill Morando. Their eldest child, Aja Tarron now rules as Queen of Akiridion-5, since her return she has revealed that thanks to her brother Krel the Akiridions have invented wormhole technology, technology thought to be impossible, to move across space in a sort amount of time. This would explain how the defense fleet arrived, as for how it was assembled so quickly from what he had heard the members of House Tarron had been hiding on Earth so the Akiridions would know doubt be able to assemble a fighting force to defend a colony of the planet the royals had hidden on.
The Eliksni of the House of Stone are another story, though the Eliksni are part of the Stellar Alliance they are currently going through a social uprising that the Alliance is staying out of. This uprising was brought upon by Eliksni citizens and minor Houses having enough of their ruling Houses refusal to remove old traditions and adapt with the rest of the universe. One such tradition the citizens tire of is 'docking' a ritual of humiliation were criminals and the most spectacularly failed Eliksni commanders have their lower arms cut off and put in a position that is bottom rung of their society. The House of Stone was once of the major Houses but have lost much of their prestige, and with the uprising they've joined the fight against the ruling Houses and now their ranks swell with new members who wish to see the corrupt rulers of Eliksni society fall.
Because of their surge of new members they have more ships and soldiers to spare and these volunteers they sent were no doubt the revolutionaries way of saying that they are the Alliance's true Eliksni allies. From what Gantu has seen the corrupt ruling Houses will be defeated in a matter of time.
"The Eliksni Barons in charge of their volunteers said they can spare a couple of their Ketches to help us." The officer said.
"Tell them we'll let them know if we need their assistance." Gantu said.
"Captain, we have a strange energy signature coming from Earth." The officer reported as his console beeped. "It seems like a Gem but also something else."
"What do you mean?"
"It's a mix of Gem energy and something else. Perhaps a fusion no one has seen before."
Gantu frowned. "Get a detailed scan on it."

"What in the world?!" Double D had to shake his head to regain his bearings. "Armatae, what happened?"

Up came none other than Jasper in her Plasmius form, arms crossed and grinning at the suit of armor carrying the car. "This is what he wants me to kill? Isn't there anything on this planet that's worth my time?"
Double D stared at the strange woman floating in front him and the twins. "What in the world?"
"Who is that?" Dipper asked from the driver's seat.
"She looks like a vampire." Mabel gasped in horror. "Oh no! She's come to suck our blood!"
While she did look like a vampire Double D sought to identify the being before them. "Armatae?"
This creature is composed of light and ecto-based energy. The gemstone on her nose suggests that she is a Gem.
"A Gem?"
An extraterrestrial race that first visited this planet over six thousand years ago. My creator discovered prove of their existence during his time in Gravity Falls thanks to the ship he scavenged to create me and from his collaboration with Bill Cipher.
"An actual alien race?" Double D whispered at the scientific implications.
Yes but a very hostile one. The Gems are essentially a race that while is capable of emotions is purely driven to carry out their programmed functions. The gemstones acts as their brain and CPU units with all the knowledge of what they and what they are meant to do programmed at the moment of their creation. This one however appears to be an abnormal.
"Abnormal?"
"LOOK OUT!" Dipper and Mabel shouted.
Luckily Armatae reacted fast enough to dodge an incoming ecto-blast from Jasper who decided just to end this charade as fast she possibly could.
"Quick! Get us out of here!" Double D frantically requested as Jasper fired another blast.
If we remove the car I can calculate a way to defeat her.
"I will not endanger Dipper and Mabel's lives!" Double D retorted sternly. "Protect them first!"
Remember that I do not take orders but in the interest of our partnership I will comply
Armatae shot down, heading for the surface and Jasper immediately followed after them. "At least make it a good chase!"

Julie Yamamoto released all of her fear and fear in the form of one large firestorm that the crystal on her turban continued to absorb despite her best efforts.
Still, it did not matter.
She wound find a way to get free.
She had to.
She HAD to.
SHE HAD TO!
As the fire around her raged a wall opened up and from it emerged a small Grimm scarab that crawled in, pulling the tablet she had been given by Sammael. It let out a small screech that caught her attention and she watched as the tablet projected an image of Sammael.
"Hello, Julie. Why does your fire burn with such fear?"
"You…" Julie whispered as the fires around her were absorbed into the crystal.
Sammael waved his hand and a black dome appeared around them. "There. This will prevent anyone from watching or listening us."

Outside the dome White Pearl frowned. "That is not good."
Xxx
Julie looked around, seeing nothing but darkness could see Sammael perfectly. "How did-"
"This is a spell used for creating temporary shelters that can last up to eight hours. It protects the person inside from any harm and allows for rest." Sammael explained. "Now, what seems to have you so upset?"
"I have been kidnapped!" Julie shouted as fire blazed around her eyes that was quickly absorbed into her crystal. "I think I'm on some kind of alien ship! Help me, please!"
"You wish for my assistance?" Sammael asked, leaning forward. "If you wish then just ask."
"And why should I trust you?" Julie retorted.
"You have no reason to trust me, you have no reason to like me but I only offer help when there is consent." Sammael calmly answered. "I am not going to force you or coerce you into joining me. Ask for my help and I will ask nothing more."
There was a part of Julie screaming not to trust him…
But she somehow knew he was telling the truth.
"Help me…Please." She finally said.
"Very well." Sammael made a mere gesture and a glowing eye like sigil appeared underneath Julie.
From the sigil came Geist arms that grabbed Julie's turban and pulled, forcing it and the crystal off Julie's head. The crystal glowed brightly and then seemingly died. Sammael gazed at the crystal for a second and then turned away, facing Julie.
"And now, your departure." His form dissolved into a black mist that surrounded Julie who gasped in fear but felt nothing as it surrounded her.
There was a flash of light and the black dome vanished along with the Fire Elemental. White Pearl glided forward, gazing down at the discarded crystal and smiled.

As he finished his lemonade Phil Ken Sebben felt a tug from underneath his eyepatch and closed his eye. "So, you've made the first step. I suppose it is my turn."

"So we had a business meeting?"
Presten Northwest nodded. "Yes. Though I am sad to say we will not be able to do business with each other any time soon. I am sure you understand."
"If that is the case, Mr. Northwest then a simple phone call would have sufficed."
"I didn't want to give off the impression I was deliberately wasting your time, Mr. O'Reilly."
Dexter Senior, the owner of DexLabs scowled at the Northwest patriarch. "Just accidently wasting it?"
Preston Northwest chuckled. "That is a good one."
Dexter Sr. did not appreciate the joke but simply turned and walked away with his grandson once their belongings were gathered.
Once they were gone Presten chuckled as he sat down on his favorite chair. "Now that they are out of the way we can focus on the real objective. We still have to deal with other obstacles such as the Te Xuan Ze and Miss Spell."
"Leave them to us."
Out of the shadows came Nyx in her brand new glory as a Lady of Chaos with Pericles perched on her shoulder.
"Ah, so the newest Lady of Chaos has finally arrived." Preston grinned. "So you will be handling any…magical problems?"
"Is there anyone more suited?" Nyx asked hypothetically as she held up a hand, gathering magical energy.
"Good, good. Go and kill them both. I want them out of the way." Preston said, adjusting his tie and turning his back on Pericles and Nyx both of whom having dark expression on their faces, with Nyx's eyes glowing purple showing her anger. "Well what are you two doing wasting time? I gave you your orders, so DO THEM!"
The Lady of Chaos said nothing as she and her familiar vanished back into the shadows, glaring at Preston who paid them no mind.
"Ah, I can almost see our victory at hand."

He opened his eyes, finding himself…somewhere else.
"Nyx? Nyx, are you out there?" He asked but stopped when he noticed something.
He felt…younger than before.
Find a nearby puddle he crawled over and looked at himself.
"Holy Glob! I'm young again!"
In the reflection he saw a young man with a handsome looking face, neatly combed brown hair that reached down his forehead. He wore dark brown pants and boots with a high collared white shirt and brown tie under a dark green best and a dark coat with white and gold cuffs, shoulder pads and a gun holster. Two ammunition belts were wrapped around his waist and there was a second holster wrapped around his left knee.
"Nyx…" The young man stood up, looking at his hands. "What have you done?"
"So that's the name of the young woman who called me."
He spun around, spotting someone dressed in black with a dark coat and mask. "Who are you?!"
The stranger pulled off his mask. "My name is Stanford Pines…And I was told I could find someone who could help me stop Bill."
Hoagie just stared at the man, unsure whether or not to trust him.
But he needed a way to find Nyx and Sky.
To find the woman he loved and beloved daughter.
So he answered back. "My name is Hoagie Gilligan…And I want to protect my family from Bill."
