Opening File: Kazemon

Kazemon is one of the Ten Legendary Warriors, and is known as the Warrior of Wind. While not as strong as her fellow Digimon, this Digimon more than makes up for it in agility and flexibility. She is also quite the looker, which tends to tick her off if someone thinks of her as just a pretty face to be won over. She is noted to have a slight crush on Agunimon, the Warrior of Flame.

Kazemon is more of a level-headed Digimon, but her lack of real strength makes her a bit unsure of herself, so she tends to try and take on stronger opponents that she tends to have a hard time against. This leads to her often needing to be rescued, which makes it even harder for her to prove herself to her fellow Warriors as well as the Justice Friends in general.

In addition, she doesn't like being seen as only a pretty face to win over, and this can make her mad at times, although she will never act on that anger. However, if Kazemon finds a friend she can count on and trust, she is a fierce foe to any that threaten them, using her speed and agility to outwit them. Her real identity is Zoe Orimoto the only female member of the team and was chosen to wield the Spirits of Wind which hold the power of AncientKazemon. She was born in Japan but moved to Italy at a young age.

She recently moved back to Japan but had issues making friends due to the culture barrier and because of her shyness. Because of her attractiveness, she tends to get a handful of male attention. Zoe is a beautiful & strong-willed girl. She is not afraid of speaking her mind and doesn't let others influence her. She strongly believes in staying true to herself and will never act differently to please others. She gets particularly annoyed when her fellow male Digidestined doubt her abilities because she is female, as she thinks she is still just as strong as they are, and makes a determined effort to prove so when they do doubt her.

However, deep down, it has been shown that she is actually somewhat insecure about herself because she had no friends before entering the Digital World. Despite her tough attitude, Zoe still also has a very kind nature and a good heart. She is very compassionate and encouraging towards others, particularly to her teammates when they are struggling. She has proven to care deeply about their safety, and will always put herself in harm's way for them.

She also will generally try to help anyone she meets who is struggling, and strongly tries to do good deeds. Zoe uses Italian exclamations occasionally.

"Why do we do the things we do? Why does a hero save the day while a villain commits acts of evil? Why does someone want to join the army while someone else will want to do something less risky? What is a person's overall goal in life?" TOM asked as the file. "Me? I'm here because I got the best job in the universe, bringing action and wisdom to your doorstep and to every corner in the universe. That's why I am here and I don't question it. But why do you think you are here, other than to listen to my wisdom and see what happens in this story?"

TOM leaned back in his chair. "Is it the action? Drama from the development of the characters? Curiosity on where our adventures are going and how they might? Or maybe you hope to learn something from this experience that will be with you as you continue the journey we call life."

TOM chuckled. "Well, whatever you get from this I hope it gives you anything and everything you are hoping to witness."

"Is this really necessary?"

"Hey, you won't accept payment so this is the least I can do."

After the fight in the temple, it was decided for the Sanbans to return to their estate. During that time Danielle had come to realize that her week dressed as a shrine maiden was almost over but with the day pretty much done the Sanban sisters allowed Danielle to dress in some more casual clothing and Kimiko Tohomiko had just the thing. Since the ghost girl had saved her life twice with the first being what happened during the Golden Castle crises and earlier when Hidekazu Kobyashi and the Tetsu Kirazu attacked the temple for the helmet of SAM-R-I.

So how was the Tohomiko heiress repaying her?

By stuffing her closet with dozens of latest clothing.

Out of the pile of new clothes Danielle chose a blue T-shirt over a long sleeved white shirt with black pants and blue shoes with white lines.

"At the very least you won't have to worry about going monk anymore." Kimiko said cheekily. "And just look what I am giving you."

It was true as casual clothes such as shirts and pants were just amongst what Kimiko had shipped over. She also shipped over clothing matching British, French and Chinese style fashion along with Japanese style thrown into the mix. It was more than Danielle could have expected or even wanted but Kimiko decided to pay her back for being the ghostly hero that she was in both times she had helped save her.

"So pretty!" Kuki and Muchi gushed as they held up a blue dress with dark blue flowers.

"Danielle-san." Sayoko called from the door. "Lady Sanban wishes to see you in her office."

Sharing a glance with the other girls Danielle followed the maid to Genki's office, knocking on the door first.

"Come in."

Opening the door, Danielle peeked her head inside. "You wanted to see me, Lady Sanban?"

The matriarch of the Sanban family was sitting at her desk, showing a brief smile as she beckoned the ghost girl in. "Yes, Danielle. Please take a seat."

Danielle walked up the nearest chair and sat down.

"I see the girls have allowed you to take a break from your bet." Genki decided to start a more casual topic before stating what she really wanted to talk about.

"Oh, yeah." Danielle chuckled a bit. "They said it was Mushi's turn to pick my outfit for next week and let me off the hook…For the moment. Still, I won't say I hated the shrine maiden outfit. I got a little used to it but I'm kind of glad the week is over, even if I am a little worried about what Mushi will pick out."

"I am sure you can handle it." Genki said with a comforting smile before becoming serious. "Danielle, about what happened in the temple you remember that I told you to stay out of the fight?"

"Yeah." Danielle nodded, slightly confused.

"My reasons were because I didn't want you going up against a killer like Hidekazu, despite your powers. Do you know why?"

"I figured you were worried about me. But I was just trying to help…" Danielle answered as honestly as she could but stopped when Genki's face showed a hardened look.

The same kind of look she had whenever she was about to chastise the her or her daughters and the one she had learned that when it appeared it was best to be quiet.

Then Genki's features softened. "I know. I know you mean well and you have proven yourself to be very brave when you or any of us were in danger. However I fear I may have been too lax in allowing you to face certain dangers such as when I allowed you to go after that Grimm Kaiju with the Shinkalions. Despite your powers it's easy to overlook one important aspect: you are still a child, the same age as my eldest daughter. In the short time you have been here you have gone up against Billiam, a Grimm that created toxic pollution, a demon sent by an evil god and just recently a crime lord guilty of many crimes, including murder."

Danielle was not sure where this conversation was going. "I was just trying to help."

"I know." Genki held up a hand and sighed. "But tell me, Danielle…Why did you decide to become a Huntress?"

"Huh?" Danielle seemed a bit confused now. "Don't you already know?"

"I know you decided to accept going to Yamanouchi Academy to train to become a Huntress after the Golden Castle debacle. Is it simply because of that or is there a deeper reason?" Genki clarified.

"Huh?"

Genki got up from her chair, turning around and looked out the window. "You're an amazing girl, Danielle. Full of potential even without your powers. Do you wish to become a Huntress, a hero simply because of your powers or is there a genuine desire to do good in this world?"

That seemed to make Danielle pause for a moment.

Was she really doing this just because of her powers?

Genki was quiet but her Semblance allowed her to sense Danielle's turmoil. The poor girl was just trying to do the right thing with her powers and she had used them responsibly since she had first appeared. Even with her memories gone Danielle was a sweet innocent child, a little shy but a good girl who was still struggling to find her place in a world she had been forced to become a part of. For the most part she acted like any ordinary child but with her powers Danielle not knew she was different from other people, it was a complete and natural instinct for her to use her powers in the face of danger.

As a half ghost Danielle was different from anyone on the entire planet and there was no telling how she would truly handle herself as she grew up. Would she be like an ordinary teenage girl or would her powers cause her to act out in a strange and possible destructive behavior? Would she be able to handle her powers if they started to evolve as she grew and trained as a Huntress?

So many questions and it was hard for her, having grown to care for the young ghost girl who had become so close to her and the rest of her family.

"I…" Danielle trailed off, looking at her feet now.

"Major Glory's got the warrant. If Team SEKR has confirmation on the Red Caps we can move in and have them ready to be arrested immediately."

Capital G along with White Tiger, Doyle and the three Legendary Warriors along with Omnimon and his two friends were waiting patiently in the Hall of Heroes briefing room for instructions. The atmosphere was unusually quiet and serious, even when the heroes routinely are dealing with dangers such as criminal gangs, Grimm and supervillains. The three warriors were the most quiet while Omnimon was conversing with Donatello and Shannon but you didn't have to be a mind reader to know something was off. White Tiger could tell something was bothering the three Legendary Warriors, even if they were trying to act like nothing was bothering them.

Hopefully the bit of good news he had would brighten their moods.

"About time." Doyle mumbled as he checked his equipment.

"And something else I just heard from the major." Capital G looked at the three Warriors. "Can I have a word with you three?"

The three seemed a little confused but saw no reason as Capital G led them over to a corner of the room where they could speak.

"All right, I know being here has been a little tough on you all being here and you are worried about getting home." Capital G started, seeing all three of them shifting a bit now but he continued on before they could speak. "But I have some good news on that front. Major Glory mentioned he and Sebben may have found a way to get you all home."

All three seemingly perked up in surprise when Capital G said that.

"How?" Kazemon spoke a little too quickly.

"The major and Sebben ever tell you guys about special relics known as the Spiral Gems?" Capital G rhetorically asked, knowing they would not have been told that little detail.

"The what?" Agunimon asked, confirming his suspicions.

"Twelve jewels containing great power with each having a different but great power. Legend has it if they were ever brought together they would destroy the world or give the ones who gathered them the power of a god." Capital G explained. "Major Glory just found out the one gem that can return you guys home along with the others has been found: the Gem of Bond."

While Capital G was explaining what the Gem of Bond was to the Legendary Warriors Phil Ken Sebben walked into the room, followed by Callie Briggs and Major Glory.

"Everyone," The mayor called the attention of all those waiting in the room. "We have a problem."

Xxx

"That all you got?"

"Ah, Scotty." Keanu suddenly looked up. "I don't think so."

Everyone looked up and watched as a dozen more robots, different from the Butchers hovered in the sky above them before slowly landing on the ground, surrounding Team SEKR and their wounded enemy.

"We'll be taking him off your hands now." This came from the leader who turned out to be a man in a metallic suit with slight blur and red marks on it, along with a helmet with glowed red eyes and a robe that covered the lower front and back areas of the body like an ancient warrior.

"Who is that?" Keanu questioned, raising his sword and holding it in both hands.

"I don't know but I already don't like him." Scotty remarked as he stepped forward. "All right, pal. I don't know who you are but we caught this guy and we'll be delivering him to the police now. So put him down."

"How about you just turn around and walk away so I can dispose of this…THIS PIECE OF TRASH!" The man in the suit said holding up the barely alive Robin Junior by the back of his shirt. "Even with all your power and your 'goal' to make the world a 'better place' there is still crime! There is still discrimination! There are the Satyra! There are the GRIMM!

"AND THERE ARE STILL WORTHLESS PIECES OF GARBAGE STILL LIKE THIS ON THE STREETS! You are responsible for this! You just sit back and only treat the infection with a little medicine here and there to stop it from spreading! This... This is a disease! A cancer that needs to be cut out!

"And I'm the scalpel that's going to do that job...And after I amputate the source of the infection... I'm going after the irresponsible doctors who allowed it to spread in the first place!"

Raven quickly summoned her powers, grabbing onto the arm holding Robin and pulling it free and pulling Robin away from it. "Whatever this man is guilty of it does not give you the right to take his life. It is still murder."

"You... You have NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE! You think scum like this change?! Justice is blind... But PUNISHMENT isn't! Fear is the ONLY thing these idiots understand!

"They hurt people! They kill people! Whenever ANY OF YOU decide to 'act', you knock them down and they get back up... But after I knock them down, they STAY DOWN!" The man in the suit said angrily and his temper made the group all grab their weapons.

"... If you kill them like this... What exactly separates you from them?" Raven asked and the man remained silent for a few moments.

"... The end result..." The man answered as he raised his arm and fired a missile at the group, causing them to scatter.

"Let's have a talk!" The man grabbed hold of Robin Junior and he flew up to the roof of a tall building.

"He's getting away!" Keanu called out.

"No he isn't." Raven said, summoning her magic around her, taking the form of a giant raven that flew after Mars.

Xxx

"Wait, are you serious?"

"Very."

"So let me just do a quick recap here for everyone's sake. There's a crazed man out there in a metal suit with an army of robots who plans to hunt down and kill as many criminals as they can find?" Doyle questioned.

Sebben nodded, allowing a second for everyone to digest what they had just heard. "Indeed. Chief Fizz has ordered a complete lock down in that part of the city to contain the robots and hopefully subdue this threat. You were originally meant to be reinforcements for bringing in the Red Caps and their leader but now we'll need your help to assist in defeating Captain Mars and his Black Knight army."

"Who?" Capital G asked.

Sebben sighed but started to explain. "Mars Polemarchos, he was the leader of the Russian special forces ops. His daughter and wife were kidnapped by members of the Satyra in order to get to him. He saved his wife but his daughter…Was tragically killed."

Everyone cringed in disgust at they had just learned.

"His wife was sent to a mental health clinic because of the trauma she sustained. Mars started to viciously kill on all of his missions as he became cold and ruthless to all of his enemies. After one last mission General Feral dishonorably discharged him but Mars somehow got into the high security weapons vault for his own purposes. He's going after the Red Caps and the criminals here with the intention to kill as many of them as possible." Sebben continued.

"At least it's just criminals he's killing." Doyle crossed his arms.

"Criminals or not they don't deserve to be killed like that and who says he's going to stop there? He's threatened to go after the Russian military next and then as many Hunters as he can find. He claims hey are as much to blame as the criminals the Grimm themselves for letting people die." Briggs cut in with a sharp glare at Doyle.

"So the plan now is to stop Mars from rampaging across the city." Sebben stated. "If there are any objections…"

"None from me." Doyle shrugged.

Capital G slammed his fists together. "We're in."

"Mr. Sebben, can we have a quick work?" Kazemon quickly asked.

Having a good idea what she wanted to talk about Sebben nodded while Major Glory and the others left to get ready. "Is something the matter?"

"Capital G was just telling us there is a way to get home." Agunimon started. "Something called the Gem of Bond and the Spiral Gems."

Sebben was calm as he processed this. "I figured he would have told you after hearing it from us."

"Why didn't you tell us about the Gem sooner?" Kazemon quickly asked. "Even if you are trying to protect it you still promised to help us return home."

"The first reason being is that protecting the Spiral Gems is among the top priorities of myself, the Justice Friends and others who have sworn to protect the world from evil. The second reason is that we did not know where the Gem of Bond was until very recently and despite not telling you it was a suggestion to Miss Artemis and Mr. Connor during their stay at the Jade Academy in China. The third reason would be even if the Gem of Bond was found there was not a complete guarantee it would be able to send you home if you were not able to master its full power." Sebben explained. "When one finds a Spiral Gem there is a test to determine if that person is worthy to wield its power. If they prove worthy the gem will then bond with their soul and manifest in a new form befitting their new wielder. If they fail the gem would remain in its true form and only a small portion of its power could be used. The Gem of Bond is unique for unlike the other gems it freely moves from one location to another and is nearly impossible to track down to the point it would take more than a lifetime to even catch a glimpse of it."

"But someone did find it." Lowemon pointed out.

"Yes." Sebben nodded. "And Capital G informed you just after Major Glory and I found out and gave him consent to tell you. So there is an opportunity for you to return home. The Gem of Bond has found a true wielder who can use its full power."

"Where are they? Can they send us home?" Kazemon asked, becoming slightly anxious.

"Before I answer that how anxious are you to return your home world? Are you patient enough to wait after the mission is over or would you prefer to return home immediately?" Sebben held up a hand.

This question seemed to puzzle the three Legendary Warriors and Agunimon was the one to voice their confusion. "Why would you ask that? Of course we want to return home as soon as possible but we have on plans on bailing on helping the others."

"Well there is a slight problem." Sebben admitted. "The wielder of the Gem of Bond, Mr. Gordon Freeman has expressed plans to help moving a group of refugees to a new home…Far, far away. At the moment he is reachable but if I contact him now I can help you but if you go with the others on their mission to help with the Red Caps and Mars I am afraid Mr. Freeman will be unavailable to help for several months at most."

He did not have to see the future to see the three Legendary Warriors were very unhappy with the news, especially Kazemon.

"I am sorry this is not what you wanted to hear but it's how the situation is-" Sebben started but any further attempts to comfort them was cut off.

"Of course that's how it is. That's always how it is!" Kazemon exclaimed, unable to keep herself calm. "Here we are, in a completely different world. Far from home, away from our friends and family and you can't seem to help us out one bit!"

"Kazemon-" Agunimon started but was cut off like Sebben.

"You're just using us, aren't you?!" Kazemon pointed at the mayor who remained calm. "Putting us through this training and these missions in your insane war! Whatever you help you give us is barely enough to be considered help and I am sick and tired of standing around here waiting for you to put some effort into it!"

Sebben was silent and calm through the angered accusations, still as a statue but he noticed tears leaking down from Kazemon's visor. It was obvious that their continued time was beginning to take their toll on them, especially Kazemon.

Not that he could really blame her.

They had all promised to help and they had actually been trying to find a way back for all of them.

They considered the Gem of Bond which now found a true wielder in Gordon Freeman but he had other priorities at the moment.

There was Raven who could travel to other dimensions but Raven wasn't going to leave until she stopped Van Kleiss and possibly rescued someone she knew had been captured.

Not to mention all the problems that had popped in the last few weeks: the abduction of the Elementals by the Gem Empire, the struggle with Crom Cruach, trying to stop Bill Cipher along with other threats such as the Red Caps, the Satyra and the Fallen.

There was a point where it was just too much and despite their appearance the Legendary Warriors were still children deep down.

They shouldn't have to be suffering like this.

No child should be suffering like this.

"And when you finally show up you tell us we have a chance you give us a choice to blow off of helping stop lunatic criminals or risk getting stuck here for months?! Why'd you even let us find out about this Gem if wasn't going to be much help in the first place?!" Kazemon continued.

Agunimon quickly grabbed Kazemon from behind, wrapping his arms around her. "Kazemon, calm down!"

"Why should I?! It's obvious he doesn't care about us! Not him, not Major Glory, Valhallen or any of them!" Kazemon cried out, losing the will to struggle in Agunimon's arms.

"If you feel like we are not doing enough I'll call Mr. Freeman and try to convince him to portal here as soon as he can. He is still new to the gem and needs a bit of time to master its powers. If you are to leave and return home you'll have to make this decision now." Sebben stated as he turned away. "I cannot wait any longer for I will be joining the others in dealing with Mars and the Red Caps."

"Wait, can't you give us some time-" Agunimon tried to ask.

"I am sorry but I can't." Sebben regretfully interrupted. "This is way things are. We can't stop time for you to make up your minds. All we can do is offer a choice, nothing more. I suppose that's one of many reasons to hate this kind of world."

With that Sebben left the room, leaving the three Digimon to contemplate their decision.

Xxx

On the roof top, Mars was holding Robin Junior by the collar as he held him off the edge of the building, threatening to drop him as Mars was asking him a few questions...

"I'm going to ask you again... WHERE ARE THOSE ANIMALS HIDING!?"

"How the hell should I know? I hate those filthy freaks! Why would I know ANYTHING about them?"

"Maybe you need a little more convincing..." Said Mars as he held Junior by his throat over the edge of the building as Junior was screaming.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! DON'T KILL ME! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!"

"You know what I want, you better say it fast... My fingers are getting tired..."

"OKAY! OKAY!" Mars pulled the panicked man back onto the building."Now... Tell me where the SATYRA IS HIDING! To avenge my wife... And my daughter!"

"Your family?" Asked Robin.

"Yeah."

"Who cares?"

SLICE!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Screamed Junior as he grabbed hold of his stub where his right hand used to be.

"Are you ready to talk? Or do I need to cut off your other hand as well?" Mars asked as he held the man up by his shirt over the building yet again.

But before Mars could do anything else, he heard a strange noise and he turned around to see the kid he saw back on the street, the girl in the blue cloak.

"Stop this before anyone gets hurt!" But that's when Raven noticed Mars' discarded hand. "... Before anybody else gets hurt. Look he will be put on trial for his crimes! We don't have to do what people did in the dark ages! Killing only invokes more killing, please think about what you're doing!"

"... Look, you are obviously a young huntress... I'm not going to go after you, you still have a choice to do what's right, don't be like the other 'full fledged' hunters that just sit back and let terrible things happen! Please... Do what's right..." Mars said as he still held the criminal over the edge of a building.

"I already plan on doing what's right." Raven said, gathering dark energy in her hands.

"... That's a shame..." Said Mars as he let go of the man, letting him fall.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
