Opening File: Ninpo

Ninpo(ninja arts) are offensive and defensive magic spells and techniques used by shinobi. One of the most destructive forms of attack that shinobi have at their disposal, the techniques for using ninpo are written on ancient scrolls and are powered by the shinobi's Aura. Those who master this art can even draw energy from the surrounding area to increase their speed and strength, summon a blast to decimate an entire area, teleportation and even create perfect copy of themselves with a log. These arts are kept hidden to remaining descendants of Shinobi clans that dwindled in numbers or even vanished over the centuries of fighting the Grimm.

The arts are still practiced by descendants and treasure hunters have been dedicated to tracking down possible scrolls and artifacts of clans that have disappeared or are considered extinct.

Opening File: Agents

While gathering new forms of knowledge, technology along with more members of his new Pack Van Kleiss discovered a parallel world where humans were imprisoned by machines with their minds trapped in a digital reality, a worldwide computer generated neural interactive simulation while their bodies were used as a source of energy for the machines that imprisoned them. Using his portal machine Van Kleiss was able to connect with this digital reality, using his A.M.A.Z.O. to scan the coding of this reality, along with many programs that inhabited this world. What he found interested him and he used his android to copy the codes of certain programs that he could use for himself.

What especially interested him were programs known as Agents.

Upon learning what Agents were programmed to do he realized he could make use of these programs to help keep members of his new Pack in line as well as use them to retrieve traitors or rescue any members about to be captured. The initial problem was that these Agents were mere programs and could manifest in the real world.

At least in their home reality.

Van Kleiss quickly found a loophole through the use of machines from another reality known as Monitors. These machines were created by an ancient race, showing to be an advanced form of artificial intelligence that could also project a form around their metal 'bodies' or cores which led to Van Kleiss deciding to combine these machines with the Agent programs he had copied. By combining the technology of two different realities Van Kleiss gained a new group to add to his Pack, programming them to be completely loyal to him.

These Agents, like in their original reality, are programmed to eliminate anyone or anything that might pose a threat to the Pack. They are incredibly fast, incredibly lethal and absolutely fearless. While not confined to a digital reality like their original counterparts the Agents are formed by a projection of energy and light and can manifest superhuman speed and strength, and heightened resistance to damage. They typically appear as Caucasian males with brown hair and dressed formally in dark green suits with gold lining, dark green ties, communication ear pieces, square sunglasses and white dress shirts.

"Across this world there are many different people with cultures. Some cultures are shown to be similar in some places while in others could be the exact opposite or even strange. Does that make them evil? Does make them completely alien?" TOM asked as the file closed. "Or can there be a small line that can bridge the gap between different cultures and help bring everyone, no matter how different the gender, the skin, or the intelligence together?"

A lone girl stood in the open field surrounded by the forest. She wore black bicycle shorts with her purple hair tied back and a headband tied around her forehead to keep her hair from falling over her eyes. She wore a blue long sleeved jacket with red shoes. It had been a week since she had lost the chance to go to P.O.I.N.T. Academy, taken down from the friend who left her in the dust.

That betrayal had almost broken her.

The fact that her friend stabbed her in the back(more like in the front) was almost enough to make her give up. It was at the point she did almost anything she could to forget. One idea was to train to the point that she could handle almost anything that came her way, even if someone learned all her moves. She didn't know what encouraged her but she threw herself into learning the arts of Ninjutsu.

Not only that but she became open to learning a few more styles, taking an interest in Karate and there was a fitness dojo at the plaza. It took over five months but she got her black belt but she wasn't done there. She worked on incorporating it into her Ninjutsu but even then she didn't stop. Long ago she came across several scrolls that contained the knowledge inspired her to take up training as a ninja.

She took it a step further by studying up on her old spell book, wondering if she could use the witch magic she used to practice to combine it with her ninpo techniques, possibly creating a whole new style of ninpo.

Now came the final test.

Chanting quietly her form was engulfed by a purple Aura that grew in size until she was ready. She then slammed her fist into the ground and the result was an explosion one would expect from a plane dropping a bomb. Luckily she had only used a small fraction of her power or the devastation would have been much worse.

"I did…"

"Yes, you did."

Spinning around, she watched someone emerge from the shadows. "You…"

This was the same guy who approached her at the end of her fight with her former best friend. The one who offered her a chance to learn somewhere else.

"You did really well. Those scrolls I showed you contained several different fighting styles and you…you managed to find a way to combine them. That's never been done before." The turtle Mobian remarked with an impressed smile on his face. "You are ready now."

"Ready for what?"

The Mobian held out a pamphlet to her and when she looked it over her eyes widened. "Wait…You are offering to enroll in…Yamanouchi Academy?!"

"I am." The Mobian nodded with a smile. "You've shown you have the discipline, the drive and the right heart to be there."

"But…it's all the way in Japan…How can I get in?" She asked.

"I think the headmaster being my father would help." This answer was what absolutely floored her.

"Your father?!"

"Oh right, I forgot to mention that part." The Mobian chuckled. "My name's Leonardo. Pleasure to make your acquaintance Miss Enid Mettle."

"You believe these four Vandals are part of something bigger?"

Alexis Bagge nodded. "Courage did his own research. The ancient writings make references to a being known as…GOLB."

Sebben narrowed an eye. "Of course. Why not? It seems everyone is throwing a party on Earth these days."

"So you know?"

"I know of GOLB. I know that something has kept him out of our universe for a long time." Sebben answered. "I also know that in any future GOLB appears…everything is gone."

Alexis' eyes widened. "Every future?"

"Except for the ones that turn out better than that. It's almost like…GOLB is either there or not." Sebben took a deep breath. "It's almost as if I am being told that what is going to happen will…decide which path the present will take."

"There is something else." Alexis handed Sebben her tablet. "I had this translated."

Sebben looked at the screen, seeing a drawing of GOLB with a woman inside his chest and the drawing of a heart in her chest. "A heart…you don't mean…"

A gem glowing ruby red and forming into a heart…

Sebben brought a hand to his eyepatch. "…The Gem of Heart…"

"So it's true? The Spiral Gems, they do exist." Alexis whispered in awe. "And the Gem of Heart…"

"The Gem of Heart's power is the ability to connect with Heart, the emotional core of every living being in existence. That's the official description of its power but if it's tied to GOLB it might be able to do so much more." Sebben explained.

"Powerful enough to stop something like GOLB?" Alexis questioned.

"The Spiral Gems were the twelve gifts of the Spiral. They represent a fundamental aspect of us that in the right hands can unleash the greatest power in the universe." Sebben stated. "I believe that applies even to the Crimson God."

"I hope so, Mr. Sebben." Alexis took her tablet back. "Because my parents might be caught up in the middle of it all."

Xxx

"Home sweet home, right Dipper?"

"I have to admit. I'm starting to see the Mystery Shack as more of a home than our home with our parents."

Dipper and Mabel were so happy to be back at their grand uncle's home in Gravity Falls after their adventures. Double D landed the car right in front of the Mystery Shack and Mabel burst out, running right up to the door.

"Grunkle Stan, we're home!" She called out, knocking repeatedly on the door.

Double D's armor receded back underneath his shirt once he was out from under the car. "Long night flights certainly are excruciating."

The door opened and Grunkle Stan was there with his arms crossed. "You're back finally…With my car!"

"Okay, Grunkle Stan I know we took your car without permission but-"

"Forget it!" Stan waved off Dipper's explanation. "Get in; there are a couple of kids you need to meet."

Confused at this statement Dipper and Mabel walked in, following Stan to the living room where two girls were watching TV.

"Frida, Zoe, this is Dipper and Mabel." Stan began the introductions.

"Finally, they're back." Frida remarked with a smirk as she stood up. "Been looking forward to meeting you."

"So what's this we heard about you two stealing a car?" Zoe asked with one hand on her hip as she looked over the two.

"Uh…" Dipper and Mabel shared a glance and then changed the subject. "Who are you?"

"These are Frida and Zoe..." Stan took a deep breath. "My granddaughters."

Dipper and Mabel gaped, their jaws nearly dropping to the floor. "Granddaughters?!"

This was…

"Wow. You got the same look grandpa did when he met us." Frida giggled.

Stan sighed, rubbing his head. "Yeah, thanks a lot for that. Any more surprises and I might get a heart attack."

CRASH!

The sound of the door being knocked down made everyone jump, especially the voice that followed.

"STAN PINES!"

"Oh Gob!" Stan did the smart thing and ran out the back door. "If I don't make it back kids, tell your mom to avenge my death and make sure Soos is fed!"

"GET BACK HERE!" Lydia Gilligan showed that old age had not slowed her down as she chased after the fearful Stan.

Frida and Zoe stared at Dipper and Mabel who simply stared back.

Talk about awkward.

Frida then held up a controller. "Want to play Ultimate Racer?"

"Sure!" Mabel grabbed the other controller.

"Oh cra-"

It fired and Rex acted, changing his sword into a shield that took the blast head on…

BOOM!

And sent him spinning.

Rex let out a yell as he fell to the ground, crashing down and kicking up dust.

He rolled out a second later, looking up just in time as one of the Terminators pointed its miniguns at him. Luckily Six jumped in, pulling out his swords and slashed through the guns easily.

"I've had enough of being shot at." Six said as he moved with quick speed and sliced through all the guns in the hands of the two killing machines.

"Thanks." Rex stood up, changing his hands into giant mechanical fists. "Let's see how tough they are without their guns."

He lashed out with a punch…that one Terminator caught and then threw Rex into a canyon wall.

"Hey…" Rex said, sounding slurred as he got up. "You're not supposed to be that tough…"

In the meantime the second Terminator turned to Six, pulling out a Colt .45 Longs-slide with the bullet already loaded. Six's fast reflexes and his swords allowed him to block the incoming bullet before he attacked, slashing at the Terminator and cutting into its 'skin'. The Terminator only showed a small grimace as it tried to punch him.

Six ducked and kept continued slashing only now the Terminator was dodging as well as attacking. Its punches were swift and strong but moved in a logical and predictable fashion. Six answered his opponent with speed, agility and relying on his swords rather than his own inferior strength compared to the machine.

These machines, aptly named Terminators were very formidable.

Rex jumped up, turning his legs into giant mechanical kangaroo shaped feet as he slammed them into the Terminator he was fighting. The machine slammed into the canyon wall opposite of the one Rex had hit.

"That's right. You hit me." Rex replaced an arm with a big sword. "I hurt you back."

The machine looked up, half of its 'face' torn off on the left side to reveal the metallic skull underneath with a blazing red eye. The machine stepped forward, its mission directives continuing to drive it.

"Bring it!" Rex shouted as he swung his sword.

The Terminator caught it in both hands, showing great strength as Rex strained to bring it down. The Terminator kicked him in the gut, knocking him down to the ground with a loud grunt. The Terminator then picked up Rex and began to strangle him. Rex grunted as he tried to break free, creating a jetpack that launched both of them into the air.

The Terminator maintained its grip, even as Rex flew erratically through the air. Rex angled down to the ground with the Terminator under him and brought it down, leaving the machine to be dragged through the rock hard ground, tearing its skin and clothing off. Rex grunted as he grabbed the machine's hands, gripping them hard and changing his hands, giving them the strength needed to pry the Terminator's hands off his neck.

"Sorry pal, no free rides!" Rex shouted as he grabbed the Terminator by the face and slammed the skull into the ground, dragging it through the mountain side.

The machine reached into its pocket and pulled out…

A grenade!

Rex's eyes widened as the pin was pulled off and let go, only for the Terminator to grab his leg. "No you-"

BOOM!

Rex managed to morph his legs to provide better protection but the close range explosion sent him spiraling and then crashing into the ground…hard.

Six spotted Rex crashing and knew he needed to get moving. He brought his swords up to the remaining Terminator's neck and the blades cutting through the joints until the Terminator's head was completely removed.

Six immediately turned away and ran off towards Rex.

"Now gentlemen, I have shown you what I offer the question is who is in?"

The 'guests' of Van Kleiss were muttering and talking amongst themselves but Vexus was the first to speak. "You offer a lot…for a human. But as Queen of Cluster Prime I am above accepting help from an organic."

"Even if that organic can make you more powerful than you have ever been?" Van Kleiss asked as he pressed a switch.

The A.M.A.Z.O. android's eyes glowed and from it came a glowing cloud that flew out and stopped in front of Vexus, taking the form of a creature Ben had called Upgrade.

"What is this?" Vexus looked at the alien before glancing Van Kleiss.

"Your Upgrade." Van Kleiss answered with a smile. "A techno-organic lifeform composed completely of nanites. It merges with machines and upgrades them. With this you will become more powerful than your 'hero' to the point you won't need an army or even a planet."

Vexus stared at the alien. "And how do I know you haven't programmed it to alter my programming and force me into serving you?"

"Go ahead and refuse. I have nothing to lose or gain by your choice. I'm in the business of sharing what I have gained from all the realities out there to people who have…had it rough because of people, children or otherwise masquerading as a so-called hero. I admit, I want to overthrow my current employee because he is the reason I am even here in the first place. He brought me here; he provided the resources when he saw what I could offer him and then set me loose on the multi-verse to see what havoc I could wreak and what troubles would spill over here." Van Kleiss stated. "That's all I am, what all this, what all of you are to him. Curiosity for what mindless chaos the villain could bring, what headaches I could bring on all the heroes and goodies. In return for being allowed to look at all realities I was to supply him an army but that was never the end goal in his mind. He was just looking for a ways to…stir things up around here."

"And what do you want?" Grodd asked.

"Me? Well, I want revenge on my own personal 'hero', I want ultimate power and everyone bowing and praising me for the amazing and wonder of intelligence that I am and…I want Sammael and possibly this entire world to burn." Van Kleiss said, his eyes narrowing and lips forming into a twisted grin. "What about the rest of you?"

He looked at Piedmon. "What do you want? Revenge? Destruction of a peaceful and loving world? A television series completely about you and all the little gags you have to make people laugh…or die laughing?"

"You spin a fine tune but I am not someone you can upgrade like that machine." Piedmon remarked, earning a dirty look from Vexus.

"True but I am aware of your kind." Van Kleiss said, snapping his fingers and projections of the Legendary Warriors and Omnimon appeared before the leader of the Dark Masters. "Can you guess who these are?"

Piedmon narrowed his eyes, recognizing them as Digimon but had never met them before. "They are obviously Digimon…So you summoned me to deal with them? I'm a little outnumbered here. Perhaps you should have summoned my comrades with me?"

"A little hard since they were deleted in broad daylight but I might have another way for you to become stronger." Van Kleiss walked over to his main computer and brought up one of the links to the drones he had in other realities. "You see, my android's power increases by scanning the anatomy of life forms it sees and thanks to my portal machine I've managed to gain access to a variety of realities, including the digital variety."

Piedmon narrowed his eyes, seeing worlds to similar to his digital world. "You have been busy, I see."

"Indeed I have. Now I may not be able to make you powerful the traditional way of your world…But I think I know way to get past that."

With that Van Kleiss snapped his fingers again and A.M.A.Z.O. held out a hand towards Piedmon who quickly realized what was about to happen. "Hold it right-"

The android fired a beam of green light that collided with the Digimon, striking him in the chest and the green energy washed over his body.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Everyone else stepped back, watching in shock and slight terror as Piedmon's body began to change with white rings traveling up his body. His outfit changed color with his red coat turning completely black with his pants and boots becoming white and the blue ribbons became red and the swords on his back turned black. His body emitted a pale glow once the green energy blast faded away.

The Digimon fell to his knees, looking at his body with shock before looking up at Van Kleiss with a nasty glare. "What did you do to me?!"

"I infused your data with ectoplasmic energy. You are no longer just a mere Digimon." Van Kleiss answered, unafraid of the deadly look the ghostly Piedmon was giving him. "Don't fret, I am sure you can return to your normal form if you wish it."

Piedmon held up a hand, gathering blue energy into it. He held it out to Van Kleiss and from it came a beam of blue light. The android's eyes glowed and an energy shield appeared around Van Kleiss, blocking the attack.

"Nice try." Van Kleiss smirked as the shield dropped. "You think I wouldn't protect myself from all of you, even after your upgrades? Besides now you have the power of a ghost and a Digimon."

"A ghost?" Piedmon pondered, lowering his hand.

"Yes. A single human infused with these powers became the hero of his world and a very strong hero at that. He might be powerful enough to rival even the strongest beings in your worlds. Now imagine this power being wielded by a Digimon like yourself." Van Kleiss proposed. "You won't need help from your fellow Digimon to exact your revenge. With this power you'll be strong enough to destroy all your enemies."

Piedmon scowled but looked at his hand again, seeing black rings form around him and change him back into his original form. "…Don't think this puts me in your debt."

"As you wish. When you get the handle on your new powers I know who you can test them out on." Van Kleiss replied.

"Those other Digimon. That's why you brought me here, isn't it? Why bother dirtying your own hands when you can…As you humans so fondly like to say 'fight fire with fire'?" Piedmon grunted. "Fine. At the very least I test this new power you so kindly gave me on them. They don't like the kind I like anyways."

"Good." Van Kleiss looked to the others. "So, have I caught your interest now?"

"You really like to flaunt your toys around, don't you?" Grodd remarked. "Obviously you plan on forcing us to accept your gifts whether we want them or not."

"Sir," Biowulf spoke up, walking up to his master. "Rex and Six took down the Terminators."

Van Kleiss frowned and looked at the main screen, seeing Six running towards Rex who appeared to he injured. "Are they at least wounded?"

"Rex appears to be wounded. The Terminator managed to set off an explosion at close range." Biowulf answered.

Well that was better than nothing.

It seemed the Terminators did indeed manage to injure Rex before they were destroyed.

Still, they should capitalize on this.

They could finish off Rex and Six right here and now so he could focus on other matters.

"Release the Butts."

Biowulf and Skalamander actually shuddered at that order.

Xxx

A door opened and out came a single creature…shaped like a walking human buttocks with tiny legs, razor sharp teeth revealed when its cheeks spread out.

One came out, followed by another and another…

And then followed by an entire army of them.

Just as Six reached the down Rex he saw them, an army of them coming in his direction.

"What the-"

Xxx

"The Butts are loose." Biowulf reported to Van Kleiss, miraculously feeling sorry Six and Rex for an instant.

Then it was gone with the thought: 'Better them than me.'

"Good." Van Kleiss frowned when he saw the status of Valerie. "She failed to get the girl…"

"Yes."

"Send Agents to retrieve her."

"And the girl?"

"Don't bother. Grey's more important."

Xxx

"So how does this help sever my link to Lila and the Elders?"

Juniper Lee knew there would be no going back after this but she still had reservations and wanted to be sure this was the right path to take. Nyx had brought her into the Underworld dimension to a glowing stone called the Severing Stone.

"This stone has the power to cut through anything, physical, emotional and magical." Nyx explained. "My magic temporarily shields you from the Elders finding you and summoning you back but it won't last forever. This stone can do it…but first we need to make sure to preserve your memories."

"My memories?" June questioned.

"The stone not only destroys links but the memories created by them. You wouldn't want to lose all the memories of your life back to when you were a munchkin would you?" Nyx asked with a small smile, holding up a small sphere. "This can make a copy of your memories to restore what you lose after the link with the elders is severed."

June stared at the sphere, taking it in her hands. "So do I just try to think of every day of my life since I became the Te Xuan Ze or-"

The orb flashed which was followed by June's eyes flashing with purple light.

"There, all done." Nyx took the sphere back. "Complete copy."

"…Can it take out any embarrassing memories I'm better off not remembering?" June asked.

"Maybe but we don't have time." Nyx pointed to the stone. "So hurry up and put your hand on the stone."

Rolling her eyes June placed her hand on the Severing Stone. "Now what?"

"Think back to the day you first became the Te Xuan Ze. Focus on the magical bond that was formed between you and the Elders." Nyx instructed.

June closed her eyes and did so, remembering the day she first gained her powers.

She remembered just being a little kid, seeing magical thugs sneaking into her grandmother's house when she and her family came to visit.

She remembered feeling that surge of power and then…

The stone flashed and June's eyes widened as she fell back, her mind going blank.

The last thing she heard was Nyx saying her name. "June!"

Xxx

Jasmine Lee's eyes widened, freezing the middle of conjuring a locator spell for June when she felt it. "No June…You really did it."

She had severed her magical link to the Elders.

And Jasmine wasn't sure to be happy, sad, terrified or all of the above.

Xxx

"He's a ghost?"

"Yeah but unlike any ghost I've seen before. Most don't glow like this one."

He managed to open one eye, seeing a ghost girl looking over him before facing her friends.

"He's more like that ghost, Dani Phantom I've heard about. My father mentioned that she is some sort of half breed."

The whelp?

Here?

"A half breed? As in half human, half ghost?"

The creature asking that question was some sort of girl wolf.

"It's true. He looked into her backstory and she's definitely a ghost but somehow a human too." The girl ghost said.

"Why are we only hearing about this now?" The asking that question was some sort of…Frankenstein girl.

"Well she's all the way in Japan right now.' The girl ghost shrugged. "Anyways this little guy here…He's got the same kind of glow I've seen from videos of Dani Phantom."

"So he's a ghost like her?"

"Nope. He's all ghost." The ghost girl frowned. "But I don't know if he is not a threat to Robin."

"So what do we do?" The next voice sounded much younger and he managed a quick glance.

"Leave him to me. I'll watch over him." The phantom girl said, looking down at the little green ghost blob.

Everyone seemingly agreed and when he thought they were gone he opened his eyes…

Only to stare right into the face of the ghost girl.

"Hi, I'm Phantasma." She grinned. "So about we get to know each other? We're both ghosts here."

Xxx

Pacifica curtsied as she spoke. "A pleasure to meet your acquaintance Gem of Trigon, I am the herald of the dawning era of madness and weirdness, Pacifica Cipher."

And she followed up her introduction with a blast of blue fire.

Raven held up her hands, conjuring a black energy shield that blocked the flames. "You're human."

"Wrong. My meat bag of a body is human. I'm all Cipher." Pacifica grinned. "Always have been when I was resting in my meat bag mother. Bet this brings back memories for you."

Raven narrowed her eyes.

"Big, mean and blazing four eyes knocking your momma up and then leaving her to drop you out to end your world." Pacifica snickered. "Though looks like you didn't exactly measure up."

Raven remained silent.

"Aw, the silent treatment." Pacifica sighed dramatically. "Come on, I've gone through the trouble of learning all about you just so we can hang out. Can't give me a little satisfaction, girlfriend?"

Raven simply stared at her.

"Seriously, enough with the staring contest. I like at least some kind of reaction before I roast you." Pacifica remarked.

"Then go ahead and do it."

"Huh?" Pacifica raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't come here for a fight. You, your so-called father and even Sammael obviously know about. And the only reason you are here would be that I scare you." Raven spoke.

Pacifica frowned. "I wouldn't go that far."

"Really? Why bother interfering then?" Raven turned around, her back facing Pacifica now. "I know about Bill Cipher. He might act like a demon but he's not really one, not one like my father. He burned his own dimension, my father conquered his universe when he was a child and almost did the same to Azarath and my own. Cipher may act powerful but he's only as strong as those he suckers with his two-bit schemes."

Pacifica's right eye twitched. "Two bit?"

"He can't harm me here. My mind is too powerful for that and I can't be tricked by his lies. This farce of yours is just to pit me against you, using the fact that you are possibly what I could have been…had I not had my friends to show me just how weak my father was…and how weak your own fake father is."

Pacifica growled as blue flames blazed around her. "My father is not WEAK! He is the one who is going to end this world and maybe even yours!"

"I've heard that before. I thought the same with Trigon…and I destroyed him." Raven's eyes glowed white. "Maybe I should do the same to Bill Cipher before I do."

"Or maybe I'll destroy you first!" Pacifica shouted, firing another blast of fire at Raven.

Only she didn't react.

She simply took a deep breath…

And felt a sense of peace fall over her.

She hadn't noticed it but her blue cloak had become brighter as she unlocked the last two chakras.

And it became a bit brighter again, now having an azure look her powers flowed around her, dispersing Pacifica's flames easily.

The 'daughter' of Cipher widened her eyes in shock, seeing Raven not even affected.

This was impossible.

"You can't harm me here. Neither can Bill Cipher." Raven spoke tranquilly. "I've let go of my fears, my shame and my guilt. Cipher thinks his best skill is playing on the weaknesses of the people he tricks…That's just another form of weakness disguised as strength. Another lie, like all the others he's made. He's made of nothing but lies and you're just the biggest he's made in a long time."

Pacifica growled. "Why you-"

"Be gone." Raven's eyes glared and Pacifica let out a scream as her connection to Raven's mind was severed.

Xxx

Bill snapped his fingers in agitation. "Drat! I guess destroying dear daddy allowed her to grow some stones. Might need a little help with this one."

Xxx

Raven opened her eyes, looking onto the proud face of Azar. "You have passed the test, young one. Not only did you unlock the chakra of fire and proven your willpower over those who wish to cast doubt on you."

Raven nodded, noticing how bright her cloak now was. "This is…"

"Are you ready for the next test?" Azar asked.

Focusing back on her mentor Raven nodded. "Yes."

"Good. The next chakra is the one of air. It represents love and is blocked by grief."

Raven closed her eyes, focusing on the energy in her heart.

Xxx

Love…

This wasn't an easy emotion for her.

Yes, she felt it but she almost could never show it.

Even after destroying Trigon it hasn't been easy to express her emotions.

"Love…I can't fall in love or show affection to anyone or my powers will go haywire." Raven muttered to herself.

'But that hasn't stopped you from feeling it.'

Raven's eyes widened as she found herself sitting in the dark, surrounded by her friends.

Robin

Starfire

Cyborg

Beast Boy

All of them here.

"You think you can't love anyone. But that hasn't stopped you from giving a try. I mean, wouldn't all you need is love?" Beast Boy wondered.

"I can't take chances." Raven closed her eyes and turned away. "It wouldn't possible."

"Then why protect us when the Trigon came to Earth?" Starfire questioned.

"Why try to make us happy on what you thought was our last day?" Cyborg asked.

"Why care for us at all?" Robin asked.

Raven bit her lip. It wasn't easy for her to admit since she had spent her entire life repressing her emotions.

Would this be the first step in allowing her to truly feel?

Would she be able take the first step in being like the others?

To allow Starfire to take her to the mall any time and have the 'girl' talk?

To have another round of Stankball with Cyborg?

To help Robin in his relationship?

To finally laugh and smile at Beast Boy's jokes no matter how corny or bad they sounded?

She found it so difficult, especially with what she worked so hard to keep hidden.

She took a deep breath.

"I…care for them. I do love them. They aren't just my friends…They're my family." Raven closed her eyes, feeling a surge of power inside her.

She saw Cyborg as her older brother.

She saw Robin as her leader and close friend.

She saw Starfire as her best friend.

She saw Beast Boy as…

'You know what you feel for him.' A voice whispered in her mind.

"I know…and I do." Raven softly admitted.

With that admission her cloak brightened again.

Raven gasped, opening her eyes and looked up at Azar again. "I…"

"You unlocked the chakra of the heart." Azar said, smiling happily. "I always knew you would find your way."

Raven blushed but a soft smile appeared on her face. "Thank you."

"Now we move onto the chakra of sound, located in the throat. It is located in the throat. It represents truth and is blocked by lies."

"Come on, Dani. You got to get back in."

Danielle sighed as she placed the breathing mask back over her face and closed her eyes as she was placed back in the de-icing unit, feeling the liquid warm her up again. In the meantime Tezuka had placed hand cuffs on Valerie while Tohru's spell kept her immobile.

"I've sent for a squad to come here. I'll take her back with me and see if we can't get her out of that suit." Tezuka stated.

"That won't be necessary."

The group turned around to see three men slowly approaching them. They all had the same hair style parted on their right and even had the same type of clothing: dark suits and ties, dark square rimmed sunglasses and ear pieces in their right ears.

Tezuka stepped out and held out her badge. "I am Inspector Tezuka with the Tokyo Police. Identify yourselves."

"Inspector." The lead man greeted, his voice lacking any form of emotion. "I am Agent Johnson and these are my associates Agent Jackson and Thompson. That girl is a wanted criminal we have been tracking."

Tezuka scowled. "You're not from Japan and I doubt you came here legally and the authorities were never informed of this girl. So why not actually tell the truth?"

The three men glanced at each other, seemingly having a silent conversation before looking back at Tezuka.

"Do we proceed?" One Agent asked.

"Yes."

"They are still…"

"Only human…and a bird."

"What?" Tezuka growled, reaching for her pistol.

The Agents pulled out their guns and fired. Tezuka flared her Aura, allowing it to block the incoming bullets. Tohru quickly shielded the children with his body while Enid went on the attack. Pulling out several kunai she hurled them at the agents. They stopped firing and surprisingly dodged the kunai with frightening speed.

Enid shot forward, lashing out with a spinning kick. Johnson ducked, allowing Enid fly over him. She landed on her feet and jumped up, kicking both feet at Jackson and Thompson but they only took one step back from the hit and didn't seem at all hurt. She then threw a punch at Johnson but he dodged and while Enid was still off balance he elbowed her in the back. Despite her Aura protecting her, the force of the attack was so great Enid could have sworn she felt a bone break.

Johnson then kicked her in the ribs, sending her flying back with enough force she skidded several yards away.

If not for her Aura Enid was sure her ribs would have been broken.

With Enid incapacitated the Agents turned to the others. Tohru growled as he held up a pufferfish while Tezuka aimed and fired. The Agents moved, leaving afterimages in their wake as they ran towards the group.

"Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao." Tohru chanted, creating an energy barrier around the children.

Only the Agents weren't after the children.

They ran towards Valerie as Tezuka fired. Seeing she could not hit them she tossed her pistol away and pulled out her stun rod, swinging it at the first Agent. Johnson dodged and threw a punch which Tezuka dodged. Her Semblance allowed her to better anticipate incoming attacks than even a normal Huntress and thus she put up a better fight against the Agents. The problem was whatever attacks she landed were shrugged off and there was no evidence of a single bruise on them no matter what hits landed.

Finally Tezuka was knocked aside, allowing the agents an open path to Valerie.

"Hey!"

The Agents glanced behind, seeing Enid standing up and glaring at them. The Agents regarded her for a second and then turned away.

"Don't turn your back on me!" Enid shouted as her Aura flared.

Her feet flared as she shot forward, creating an explosion that shot her straight at the Agents. Johnson spun around and blocked a kick aimed at his head. Enid landed on her feet, her karate training kicking in as she attacked all three agents. Even if her skills were superior the agents were still stronger and they seemed invulnerable no matter what punches or kicks were landed on them and they seemed to have unlimited stamina.

Enid had worked hard since her defeat by Elodie. She had worked on the fighting techniques Leonardo had shown her, working to combine the elements of several styles to come with a style that had the perfect offense and defense. Her style revolved around tiring out her opponents or manipulating them into making a fatal mistake.

Only the Agents didn't get tired and they don't make mistakes.

The battle went for nearly five minutes with Enid holding her own but was starting to lose ground. Enid finally leapt back, her feet crashing into the face of Agent Thompson, knocking him back. Enid landed on her feet, seeing the Agents facing her, still as emotionless as ever but Thompson's lips trembled slightly as if he was becoming agitated.

"Just what are you guys?" Enid grunted, her body starting to ache and tire.

"We are better." Jackson answered, cracking his neck. "They say Huntsman and Huntresses are mankind's strongest warriors. We are not impressed."

Enid narrowed her eyes. "Well let's try this!"

She closed her eyes and began to chant, summoning her Aura energy around her as she prepared her most powerful attack yet. The Agents held up their guns to finish her off but Enid was faster and slammed her fist into the ground.

BOOM!

The resulting blast almost destroyed the surrounding area with Tohru protecting the children with his Chi spell. The blast slammed into the Agents, actually managing to knock them off their feet and their forms shimmered for several seconds. When the dust cleared Enid was panting greatly now and she looked like she was about to fall over. She looked up and saw the Agents on the ground…

Then they slowly started to get up.

"Oh come on!"

Their clothing was dirty and tattered, their sunglasses were cracked and they were sporting small bruises on their faces.

They looked…annoyed.

"Did I tick you guys off now?"

The Agents raised their guns and fired.

It was amazing.

She always assumed the Darklands were nothing but a barren wasteland but she could see dark and twisted greenery from where she was currently living.

"Enjoying the view?"

A black miasma formed nearby, forming into a familiar figure with a small smile on his face.

"Did you do all this?" Julie asked, back in her normal clothes.

"When I had the time." Sammael remarked, waving a hand at a nearby plant that grew in size and the flowers on it bloomed. "The powers of the Grimm do not solely have to be associated with death and destruction."

"So now what?" Julie asked.

"Now, you decide what to do you from here." Sammael answered with his hands behind his back. "If you choose to stay I will see to it that you are provided for. A warm bed, plenty of food. If you wish to leave I will ensure your safe passage out of my lands."

"You don't want anything from me?" Julie asked.

"There is something only you can help me find but I would not force you to find it. It is something that can help save this world." Sammael answered.

"Save the world?"

"You may not know this yet but there is a storm coming. A threat to the world that may only be stopped by the choice you make." Sammael explained.

"What do you mean?"

"As the Fire Elemental you have been granted many gifts beyond just have the command of fire. You also have the power to open the path to one of the most powerful objects in the world. One of the twelve gifts to mankind." Sammael answered. "These objects are meant to ensure life endures no matter the danger. To ensure they never fell into the wrong hands four guardians were charged with their protection. These guardians were blessed with power over the rest of mankind, ensuring that no one else but them could reach what they had been charged to protect."

Julie felt a sudden pull in her mind…

"To protect them or to give them to someone at the right time." Sammael finished. "I believe the time is coming when one of these gifts you, the Fire Elemental was meant to protect will be needed."

"How can you tell?" Julie questioned.

"I have many sources." Sammael answered with a small smile and holding up a hand. "I know the Fire Elemental was charged with protecting the object known as the Spiral Gem of Heart."

Julie watches as a ruby red gem appeared in Sammael's hand.

The mere sight of it caused a tug deep within her soul.

"The Gem of Heart was placed somewhere to guard against the coming of a monster. A monster that has no heart in any meaning of the word."

Julie watched as the red gem was replaced by a red monster...

It had four eyes.

A forked tongue.

Sharp teeth.

It looked like a giant red baby.

"How can this gem stop a monster like that?" Julie questioned, feeling a great amount of fear from the mere sight of this creature.

It was almost as if she was compelled to kill it.

Even more than she was compelled to try and kill Sammael.

"Because the gem is like your power…Born of the heart and it can only be wielded by someone with one made pure." Sammael answered.

Vlad had no idea what to expect when this General Lunaris requested him to follow back to the so-called Moonlander's home.

Only when he saw the golden city did he relent and remained quiet.

The inhabitants of the city gave him odd looks but he ignored them and continued following Lunaris to the center of the city.

They entered a grand hall and at the end of the of the room was a golden throne with a…creature sitting on it.

It appeared to be a humanoid insect with four-arms and had pincers. He had light grey skin and the front of his face was dark grey. He had a long ponytail and a long tongue that was sticking out. He wore a red and purple outfit reminiscent of a Chinese nobleman.

"General Lunaris," It spoke in a calm and cold manner. "Why do you bring this Gem before me?"

"Lord Tso Lan," Lunaris knelt before the creature. "This is no Gem. He is a human transformed into a Gem."

Tso-Lan narrowed his eyes. "What?"
