Opening File: Blank Eyed Girls

Blank Eyed Girls are a legend that has spread across the world, haunting people seemingly at random. Their appearance is that of a young girl with pale skin, long black hair and wears either a pale dress or a white burial kimono depending on the locations they are known to appear. It is said that they cannot enter anyone's home unless they are invited while others dispute this claim. Others will say they are like fairies and should be given cream in a saucer to make them leave while another source says the girl is a haint and will be repulsed by noise.

There is even a source that says they will be scared off by looking into the eyes of a chicken. The Secret Scientists believe it to be a Cryptid known as a Fresno Nightcrawler while another source believes it to be a Tulpa. Those who believe in the supernatural believe these Blank Eyed Girls, BEGs for short, are in fact the vengeful spirits of young girls who had tragic lives and upon their deaths return to exact a terrible revenge, killing anyone and everyone in their way.

Opening File: King Ramses

King Ramesses II, also known as Ramesses the Great was the third pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt. He is often regarded as the greatest, most celebrated and most powerful pharaoh of the New Kingdom, itself the most powerful period in Egypt. His successors and later Egyptians called him the 'Great Ancestor'. He was alive when the Grimm first appeared after the Time of Awakening in Japan in when the Emperor visited his land, his father the Pharaoh offered his sister Neferteri as the Emperor's first apprentice who became the first Huntress in Egypt.

When the evil priest Imhotep betrayed and murdered the Pharaoh Ramses became the next king while Neferteri spread the knowledge of Aura to the rest of Egypt. Through the years to come Ramses and Neferteri would work hard to protect Egypt from the Grimm and even though Ramses took many consorts and had many children he did not believe their work would be finished. To ensure Egypt would always have its king to protect it Ramses called upon his mystics and even the sun god Ra to bind his soul to a tablet that would be placed in his tomb upon his death. The slab would be connected to his soul even as it journeyed to the afterlife and allow King Ramses to continue protecting Egypt.

The slab calls upon three plagues but instead of being used on mortals it would be summoned against the Grimm that invaded Egypt, forcing them from its lands. The curse was successful but held a terrible price: if the slab was stolen Egypt would lose its protection. If it was stolen King Ramses would be forced to hunt down and retrieve it by any means necessary.

"When you were growing up what was your favorite scary story? Stories involving vampires, werewolves, goblins or were you into the more mysterious scary creature known as ghosts? Ghosts, poltergeists, spirits of the dead, lost souls wandering the Earth until their unfinished business is somehow…for the lack of a better word: finished." TOM watched the file close. "What kind of unfinished business would they have? Finding a long lost treasure? Looking over someone dearly important? Or even finishing a long story?"

TOM swirled the chair around, facing the screen. "Whatever it is it's always important and something dear to the hearts of these lost souls. You help them and you'll be doing a lot of good deeds for the dearly departed."

"Hey, what's going on out there?!"

"Shh!" Karai quickly wheeled the de-icing unit carrying Danielle onto the airship. "Stay calm, child. Just remain in here and let us handle it."

Danielle wanted to protest but Karai turned around and rushed out the airship. She was just left to float inside the de-icing unit which helped suppress her ice powers.

It didn't suppress her frustration however.

"Hey!"

She wished she could just turn intangible and take a peek at what was going on.

Just one little peek…

A streak of white moving over the unit.

Danielle felt a sudden chill escape her mouth and through her mask as well, causing the warm liquid holding her to momentarily fog. "Wha…"

She looked at the corner of her vision, as far as she could see while inside the unit and saw a girl.

At least she looked like a girl.

Pale skin.

Long black hair.

A plain white kimono.

And deep blank eyes staring at her.

"H-Hello?" Danielle muttered.

The girl disappeared and Danielle believed she had simply imagined seeing someone…

And then looked up to see the strange girl staring down at her.

"GAH!"

The strange girl was sitting on top of the unit, staring down at the ghost girl with deep dark blank eyes. Danielle gasped, releasing another icy breath that escaped her breathing mask and momentarily fogged her vision.

Before her vision returned, Danielle was sure she felt a hand on her cheek and the sudden sensation made her cry out in shock.

"Dani?"

Two familiar faces came into Danielle's limited vision. The girl frantically looked around, looking for the strange girl.

"Miku? Shinobu? What's going on out there? Where are Kuki and the others?" Danielle quickly asked.

"We're here." The others came into site around the unit as Kuki answered. "You okay?"

"Am I okay? You guys might be in more danger than me." Danielle replied, excess air blasting from her mask in the form of bubbles to signify how the ghost girl was feeling. "Just what in the world is going on out there? And did you see another girl in here?"

"What other girl?" Kuki asked.

"I thought I…" Danielle trailed off. "Maybe I just imagined it because I'm going crazy in here. Seriously, what's going on out there?"

"Three guys showed up and they are-MPH! MPH!" Kimiko covered Mushi's mouth in mid-sentence.

"Let's just say the hunters have it covered." Kimiko finished for the younger girl. "What you need to do now is stay calm and let everyone do their jobs."

Danielle wanted to argue, hating the feeling of being helpless and unable to help out. She hated being stuck on the sidelines like this but she knew everyone around her were right about letting the hunters do their jobs and be the ones to fight. So she remained silent as the ramp lifted up, closing the rear end of the airship which then took off.

Shiga Highlands, here we come.

As the ship took off, the girl with blank eyes watched from a respectable distance as it made its climb into the clouds.

BOOM!

The resulting blast almost destroyed the surrounding area with Tohru protecting the children with his Chi spell. The blast slammed into the Agents, actually managing to knock them off their feet and their forms shimmered for several seconds. When the dust cleared Enid was panting greatly now and she looked like she was about to fall over. She looked up and saw the Agents on the ground…

Then they slowly started to get up.

"Oh come on!"

Their clothing was dirty and tattered, their sunglasses were cracked and they were sporting small bruises on their faces.

They looked…annoyed.

"Did I tick you guys off now?"

The Agents raised their guns and fired.

Just as Enid thought it was over for her a blue blur dashed in, stopping front of her and blocked all the bullets.

Enid's eyes widened, recognizing the blue armor. "SAM-R-I."

It was indeed SAM-R-I, his sword blazing with electricity as he held it in both hands, settling into a stance that showed he was more than ready to attack.

The Agents glanced at each other.

"It's him."

"SAM-R-I."

"He means nothing."

"The girl is the primary target."

"We must access enhancements."

"Which ones?"

Agent Johnson was the one to answer. "All of them."

Immediately all three Agents surged with power as Karai rejoined the hunters, ready to fight. Taking charge SAM-R-I shot forward, swinging his sword. Agent Johnson turned out to be the first Agent in his reach but the Agent swiftly dodged each and every strike. Thompson conjured a light blade and slashed at SAM-R-I but the hero was just as fast and agile as they were and thus easily blocked the strike. Neither landed a blow on each other but cuts appeared on Thompson's suit and slash marks were seen on SAM-R-I's armor.

In the meantime Jackson with blurry speed, shooting past SAM-R-I and straight at the downed Valerie.

"Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao." Tohru chanted, firing green blasts of chi energy at the agent who dodged and slammed right into him, knocking the gentle giant off his feet.

The barrier around Valerie dissipated and a red portal opened before a golden gauntlet shot out and grabbed her, pulling her in.

Xxx

Van Kleiss grinned, pulling Valerie out of the portal. "Welcome home, my dear. Tell the agents to retreat."

Xxx

"Mission accomplished." Thompson stated, jumping back from a slash from SAM-R-I. "Retreat."

SAM-R-I narrowed his eyes under his helmet as he gathered electricity around him and twisted his katana before plunging it into the ground, releasing bolts of lightning straight at the agents. Jackson and Johnson were able to escape as portals appeared near them but Thompson raised his sword in an attempt to stop the lightning. The electricity surged through his body and his form shimmered, leaving him open to a strike from Karai who plunged her katana into his torso.

Thompson barely even blinked as his form disappeared, showing the true machine that had been projecting the Agent's body.

Xxx

Van Kleiss frowned when he saw that Thompson's holo-form had been killed and his monitor was left in the hands of the enemy. Worse, it seemed SAM-R-I's electricity shorted out everything, even the self-destruct mechanism he had installed into each monitor.

"It's always a small victory on either side." He grumbled. "I might need to move up my time table."

Agent Six pulled Rex's arm over his shoulder and he took off running as the strange butt shaped creatures chased after them. Of all the things that could attack them it had to be killer butts. Six was used to seeing weird things but this took the cake.

"Ugh…" Rex mumbled as he came to. "Six? What's going on?"

"We have to get out of here." Six simply said.

"Why? We need to find Van Kleiss."

"There's something stopping us." Six muttered as he looked back.

Rex followed his gaze and his eyes went comically wide. "Are those…Butts?!"

"Butts with sharp teeth." Six said as he ran past a boulder.

"Are you kidding me?!"

"SIX! REX!" A familiar voice rang out.

Up ahead were the two newcomers they had come across during their search through the mountains.

"Don't stop running!" Six called out.

"Forget this!" Rex stopped and got off Six as he changed his arms into giant mechanical fists. "I'm not about to be done in by a bunch of Butts!"

Just as he swing the first punch…

CRUNCH!

Rex watched with widened eyes as one Butt bit down on his fist and actually three of its fingers. "Okay…."

Realizing that Six had the right idea Rex turned and bolted with the Butts right on his heel. "THE BUTTS ARE LOOSE! THE BUTTS ARE LOOSE!"

"There's one thing I don't understand. If you control the Grimm then-"

"Why can't I stop them from harming the rest of humanity?" Sammael finished Julie's question. "As great as my powers are, I can control them, give them orders but unless I control a Grimm directly they cannot control their instincts. Grimm are driven to kill, especially the younger ones that will seek out and attack any settlement they find and the older ones will defend their territory first and foremost, only being provoked into attacking by others or negative emotions attracting them. I cannot prevent them from spawning from the Pools of Darkness, only make them spawn faster."

Julie stared, wondering if he was lying but she looked into eyes…And she just knew he was telling the truth.

"If I help what do you want from me?" She questioned.

"Whatever you wish I am willing to give, within reason of course." Sammael answered. "I do not force anyone to join me and I always work to ensure they are looked after and content. Merely ask me and I will work to grant it and earn your trust." He held out his hand. "If you'll allow me one chance I promise I will not disappoint you."

Julie stared at the hand, going over Sammael's proposal in her mind.

She had no reason to trust him and yet he had gone out of his way to save her.

He promised he would let her go if she wished to leave.

He promised to earn her trust.

And despite the part of her saying not to believe him…

She knew he was telling the truth.

"So it goes right here?"

"It'd be more accurate three feet to the left." Peridot answered.

Major Glory moved three feet over to the left and set the drill down. Exhaling in relief Major Glory smiled and walked over to the group. "Roland."

"Major." Roland greeted cordially.

"Nothing happen out here?"

"Nothing. The entire canyon is dead…In more way than one." Roland stated. "The Gems harvested anything that could produce life here long ago."

"Must be why they buried the Cluster here." Major Glory noted, nodding to the Crystal Gems and Steven. "Good to see you are all ready for this."

"Are you?" Roland said, earning the major's eyes back on him. "I heard you have an apprentice now…One who might carry on your work."

Major Glory was silent as he remembered speaking with the personal doctor of the Justice Friends after his adventure into Dee-Dee's imagination filled universe.

Xxx

(Flashback)

"What's the prognosis, Doctor?"

Dr. Princess looked over the notes carefully before speaking with her patient. "Very good. Your body is at its physical peak and you've completely mastered every power the American Spirit could give. You're in no danger of losing your edge any time soon."

Major Glory nodded, satisfied with the doctor's answers. His cape and top removed, showing his muscular chest but his mask remained on.

When he says secret identity he means secret identity.

"Even though Dee-Dee has now become a host to the spirit it will take years for the spirit to properly integrate itself into her and for her soul to handle all the power that it can give." The major replied.

"As I recall you mastered enough that you were able to fly around the world several times when you were a boy around her age." Doctor Princess pointed.

"Yes well I was younger than Dee-Dee was when I first signed my name." Major Glory replied, sporting a small nostalgic smile.

"Well in any case, even when the spirit's powers starts to weaken with both your names currently active on the Declaration of Independence you've held these powers long enough that even if you were to sever your connection you would still have these powers, just lacking the unlimited reserves that the spirit offers." Doctor Princess continued.

"Meaning eventually if I still continue being a hero the more I use my power the faster I use them up." Major Glory held up a hand and clenched it. "My uncle knew this too."

"As I said, your body and powers are at their peak and considering how powerful you are now you would barely use up a tenth of your reserves if you remain this healthy when you fully pass the torch." Doctor Princess pointed out.

"True but it never hurts to prepare." Major Glory stood up, slipping his cape and outfit back on. "My uncle understood that better than anyone."

"He also had trouble listening to the advice of others." Doctor Princess recalled. "I'm glad you've learned to handle that better."

Major Glory chuckled a bit. "I had good teachers. In the meantime I have to plan with others what to do about great many of problems right now. With all the evil gods and Tulpas running around I've been a little distracted."

"Be careful, Major. If you push too hard and burn yourself out Miss Dee-Dee could find herself losing a mentor when she really needs one." Doctor Princess cautioned.

"I don't really have much of a choice." Major Glory said, fully clothed now. "We have several problems to take care of before they become really big problems."

Xxx

"I am good. My power will stay with me for years even after I pass the torch. Some things remain the same given enough time." Major Glory replied.

"And some things can change drastically." Roland said as everyone worked on readying the drill.

Xxx

"How amazing it is that you have convinced the Fire Elemental to aid us."

Sammael closed his eyes as he walked through the hallway of his domain. "Aiding us against GOLB and Van Kleiss. Not against destroying our enemies."

"It can quickly become that given the right motivation." Moloch pointed out.

"For now we should focus on preparing our forces." Sammael said as the doors to his throne room opened. "I am sure everyone is making plans."

"Oh, you have no idea."

Sammael and Moloch stopped, seeing a young woman with long flowing hair sitting on Sammael's throne, looking very relaxed as she greeted them.

Moloch narrowed his eyes which were glowing fiercely. "Who are you!?"

The woman chuckled a bit as she conjured up a black card into existence than flinging it Sammael's way. "Ah where are my manners? Here's my card."

Sammael easily grabbed the card noting the purple flaming phoenix emblem, and on the other side reading the scrawl out loud. "Nyx, Lady of Chaos."

Nyx stood up from the throne and dramatically bowed. "At your most humblest service oh first and foul of the Fallen."

Nyx started walking around the throne room as she's waved her right hand in circles. "Though I've also been trying to think of a good moniker, tell me how does," Nyx quickly did jazz hands. "Phoenix of Chaos, strike you guys?"

Moloch growled in annoyance stomping toward her as his hands became deadly claws. "Enough of this foolishness!"

He attempted to attack her only for Nyx to disappear.

Nyx's voice came from behind which both turn to seeing her slouching and relaxing with her hands behind her head back on Sammael's throne. "Hey now no need to be such a critic, I actually happen to like Phoenix of Chaos." Nyx glanced up. "What about you Pericles?"

A parrot revealed himself fluttering out from behind the throne to the two Fallen and Moloch's soul froze like ice when he saw the dark lantern the bird carrying alight with a dark flame, while Sammael remained passive, hands folded in his coat though with an intrigued look at this turn of events and their two guests.

Pericles smirked in Moloch's direction. "I quite like it a title of respect and one that suits you mistress."

Nyx smiled. "Thank you Pericles."

Moloch's voice echoed as he demonically howled loud enough to shake and be heard throughout the fortress. "RELEASE THAT LANTERN AT ONCE!"

Pericles rolled his eyes with a smirk as Nyx giggled.

"Oh do calm yourself we intend no harm or theft to the lantern, once we conclude our business it will be back in your master's care." Pericles' smirk widened as Moloch growled angrily. Pericles then turned to Sammael as he fluttered next to Nyx on the Fallen's throne. "But appears that I too am forgetting myself, I am Professor Pericles. I've had shall we say the pleasure of interacting with the Fallen before in my life, even had the honor of serving as young newborn Mandy's doctor during her time in the Blind Eye's care."

Sammael's brow arched as Pericles continued on with him bowing his head. "But it is an utmost honor to at last meet the first of the Fallen and King of the Grimm in person."

Moloch was growling, focusing on the key part of what Pericles revealed. "So your two were sent by Bill Cipher. Bold and foolish of your master and yourself since attacking us will secure nothing but your doom and despair."

Nyx snorted and actually laughed. "Cipher, send us! HA!" Nyx wiped a tear from her eye. "Oh buddy I had you pegged you all wrong, I thought you were all doom and gloom, but you're actually quite funny."

Moloch growled and would have attacked had Sammael not sent him a warning look.

Nyx's jumped out of the throne and looks around the room and whistles in impressed tone as she turned to Sammael. "I have to hand it to you this is one heck of a set up you've got here, you Fallen really know how to live in style." Nyx continued with a smirk. "I think my favorite feature of this grand fortress, is how just like your mind it's guarded from Cipher."

Sammael raised a single eyebrow. "And what is it you want from me that you don't want Cipher to hear?"

"Oh, just a little talk is all and a maybe even to offer a deal." Nyx answered.

"If you claim to know me as much as I know about Cipher you'd understand why I wouldn't be so quick to consider a deal as you'd say." Sammael remarked.

"True." Nyx conceded. "Old Billy triangle is not known for being trustworthy."

"Neither is hiding whoever you have with behind my chair."

There was a surprised gasp behind the throne and slowly out stepped Juniper Lee who looked…nervous. When Nyx told her she was going to meet Sammael she was hesitant to let her go alone. Even though June was no longer the Te Xuan Ze and lost her powers her instincts towards protecting people still remained with her and thus had insisted she come along. Now she was wondering if that had been a good idea.

Her first impression of Sammael was how surprisingly…human he looked and yet at the same time he held the dark and ruthless presence of a Grimm. She could just tell he was extremely dangerous and wondered if it had been a good idea to sever her link with the Elders before meeting with the so-called Grimm King.

Sammael chuckled at a on guard June. "So history has repeated itself I see with the Elders losing control of another Te Xuan Ze, just like Kai Yee before you."

"Kai Yee…Is that the Te Xuan Ze who tried to kill you?" June asked slowly.

"Indeed. He was strong, extremely strong but careless. Kai Yee never wanted to be the Te Xuan Ze but was forced into it as I imagine you were. He became so powerful the only thing he was afraid of was ironically losing the power he initially rejected. Eventually that fear turned to resentment for the Elders for keeping him bound to Orchid Bay and even greater resentment for not using their powers against the Grimm and well…me." Sammael explained.

"So…did you kill him?" June asked carefully.

"Oh no. It was a tough battle at Kai Yee's magic gave him strength and speed to match even me but I didn't kill him. He fell into the Pool of Darkness and when he emerged…the Elders sealed him away in a jade statue and then placed that statue in a pocket dimension." Sammael explained. "Something I am sure they might do to you if they fear you going down the same path as him."

June shuddered from the dark gaze Sammael gave her but she could somehow tell he was being truthful.

Was he just that good at making people feel slightly at ease or was there some kind of power he had?

"But enough of this." Sammael turned to Nyx who had been watching in silent interest. "You say you have a proposition for us? I ask what do you want and not just from me but what you truly want."

Nyx hummed in thought and then cheerfully exclaimed. "What do I want out of life? Well I guess I want FFFP! "

Moloch blinked. "Uh, fffp?"

Nyx replied giggling with her signature smirk. "Yep FFFP! It means Family, Freedom, Fun, and of course to keep all of the above secure, Power!" Nyx hummed thoughtfully while tapping her chin. "Though I wonder if another p should be added to it, as I wouldn't say no to some prestige as well."

Nyx walked over to a chess board in Sammael's throne. She hummed thoughtfully while looking the pieces some she finds familiar others unfamiliar, than she snaps her fingers conjuring and adding some new chess pieces to the board.

Some of the pieces modeled after herself, Pericles, Klarion, and a creature that appeared to be a hybrid of a bird and insect. (Canaletto)

Nyx was humming as she held the chess piece that resembled her with a certain bird perched on its shoulder in her hand. "Klarion despite his oh so grand plans for me to become a Lady of Chaos and follow in his footsteps, has ultimately only seen me as just a pawn in this game. Which he and Cipher can use and manipulate as they see fit." Her tone was now showing hints of anger and deep resentment despite being cheerful as she put her piece down on the board showing a soft smile as she set it next to the piece resembling Juniper Lee.

Nyx smiled, turning back with her signature smirk. "But I have greater ambitions and refuse to be just a simple pawn, I want to take a seat at the table and join this game as a fully established player!"

By the time she was done speaking Sammael was grinning. "You wish to become a player in the game of life that is to come you say?"

"You got that right. And the first ones on my list are Bill Cipher, Klarion and Canaletto." Nyx answered.

"And not me or the other Fallen?" Sammael questioned.

"Well, I suppose eventually the two of us will come to blows." Nyx admitted.

"Perhaps we should just get that over with then." Moloch suggested.

"How about a contract?" Nyx suggested. "A magical contract between the two of us here and now that will prevent either of us from betraying each other until the contract expires."

"And when would that be?"

"Perhaps after my three targets are eliminated." Nyx answered, holding her hand out to Sammael. "We can iron out the details here and now."

Sammael stared at the hand…and grasped it. "Of course. And of course you shall hear my conditions."

"Of course." Nyx nodded.

"The first condition is that you will do nothing to hinder me or my allies in our goals whatsoever." Sammael started.

"And you will do the same for me." Nyx retorted.

"The second condition you will not speak of anything you learn from me or my allies to anyone, not even your closest friends if you have any or convince them to act on your behalf against me in any possible way." Sammael continued.

"Two part condition, smart move. Of course the same goes for you." Nyx replied with a grin.

"Thirdly if you or anyone you know or you are affiliated with violate any of these conditions the magic will not affect you or your familiar. Instead it will kill the person you love the most." Sammael finished with a grin of his own.

June's eyes widened in shock while Pericles remained calm but there was a seemingly small twitch on his left eye while Moloch snickered.

"Oh, that's a twist. Well since I don't really have anyone to love, me being a Lady of Chaos and all." Nyx accepted. "And if you violate the same terms I have set you will lose control of your powers and they will turn on you, torturing you from the inside out."

"Deal." Sammael nodded.

"Then so mote it be!" Nyx declared, making the contract between them.

There was flash of light in their hands, connecting to their very souls as the magical contract was formed.

Both lowered their hands and stepped back from each other.

"So, now that we've made our deal what's next?" Nyx remarked.

"Since you have decided to up and make yourself a player in the game that is to come I have something to show you." Sammael gestured for her and June to follow.

He led them out onto a balcony and conjured and small glowing red orb. "Can you guess what this is?"

"A magical core." Nyx remarked, sensing the magical energy inside.

"Yes, a magical core. Grimm do not have magical cores as they immediately turn to black vapor when they die. The dark energy in them returns to the source, here and or in other Pools of Darkness across the world. However, long ago I learned a way to create much stronger Grimm by providing a core filled with magical power." Sammael explained as he held the orb over the railing, over a dark lake part of the land that was known as the Black Maw. "They are called Legendary Grimm or Kaiju Grimm in Japan."

June watched with apprehensive eyes as the core fell into the pool with a big splash.

"I cannot spawn a Kaiju Grimm in large numbers as it would use up the Pools of Darkness. I can only spawn one at a certain time while allowing the pools to replenish." Sammael continued, holding his hands out. "Which is why I have been saving this for an auspicious occasion."

Nyx and June watched as the core began drawing the Dark Substance of the Black Maw into itself, the large lake began to shrink as something rose from it. First came one head, resembling that of a serpentine like dragon.

Then came a second head.

Then a third but it was not the end.

A fourth rose up.

Followed by a fifth.

Then a sixth.

A seventh.

And finally an eighth head.

Eight heads, resembling the face of a dragon with bone like armor covering their eyes, small beady red glowing eyes and teeth sharper than any spear in existence. Two rows of spines traveled down the necks and each head had a crown of ten horns.

From the back rose a pair of black giant majestic wings while the eight heads snarled, sniffed and gazed around their surroundings.

Then all eight pairs of eyes settled on Sammael's lair, specifically the one who had made them.

"I present…The Hydra." Sammael stated, spreading both arms in a grand gesture.

Immediately one head roared, letting out a high pitched wailing roar and one by one each head followed, roaring so loud the Darklands seemed to shake.

June was left in terrified silence.

Pericles was actually speechless with a look of awe in his eyes.

Moloch gave the impression he was grinning even though no one could see his face.

Sammael was smiling in satisfaction.

And Nyx was star struck with only one thing to say. "Must…Pet."

"GET BACK HERE STAN PINES!"

Stanley ran as far as he could and as fast as he could, knowing that if he stopped then it would be certain death.

WHACK!

"OW!" Stan grunted as he fell over.

Looking back over his shoulder he could see Lydia's cane on the ground. She had thrown it at him and hit him in the legs.

"Dang it, Lydia!" Stan grunted as he watched the elderly woman approach, only moving slightly slower without her cane. "You can't just whack people with your cane! Hell, you could have broken my legs!"

"Cram it, whiner!" Lydia shoved Stan out of the way and picked up her cane. "You owe me some answers!"

"What? I told you everything I know." Stan said, gulping as Lydia pointed her cane at his neck. "Look, just calm do-"

"Shove a big melon in it! I'm talking!" Lydia harshly cut him off. "My grandson is missing and just now I found out he somehow ended up in some other place and sent me a daughter!"

"What?!" Stan gaped. "That makes absolutely no sense."

WHACK!

"Ow!"

"I know that!" Lydia shouted, having whacked Stan on the head with her cane. "Ignoring the fact that my grandson is still a boy he only disappeared a few days ago! So that leads me to believe your portal machine is what was responsible or maybe those cults we fought sent him somewhere where he spent a lot longer than a couple of days! Long enough to make me a great-grandma and send me his daughter who admittedly is quite the pretty little thing."

"How do you know it's for real?" Stan questioned.

Lydia held up a picture of Sky and a paper with the DNA results. "DNA doesn't lie, unlike your mouth."

Stan stared at the picture and the DNA paper. "So, congratulations then Lynds. Can you die happy now?"

WHACK!

"Ow!"

"Not yet." Lydia answered, after whacking Stan again.

"Darn." Stan rubbed his head.

"Now you are going to get that portal up and running right now and get my grandson back…So I can kill him for getting a girl pregnant before getting married!" Lydia shouted, pointing at Stan's head right between the eyes. "And then we're going to find the sniveling weasels who made him disappear in the first place."

"Look I got it all set up." Stan quickly said.

Xxx

(Flashback)

"Okay kids, we need to hurry and get the portal all powered up before your cousins are back." Stan said to Zoe and Frida, holding up a bad drawing of a nearby power plant. "So since there's not a whole lot of Dust around here, the people are old school and with good old nuclear power. We just need to grab some radiation suits and some radioactive waste. You know how to do that?"

"Does Frida keep getting thrown in jail to hide the cash we make from the swear jar we steal when no one's looking at our school?" Zoe asked.

"Really?" Stan looked at Frida who nodded.

"I teach a few kids some words to spread around, they fill the curse jar the teachers put out and then we swipe some cash and hide it in my own personal cell." Frida explained.

"That's…That's a good system, kid." Stan admitted with a smile. "How much you make?"

"We start off with a few little curse words then work our way up the classes. You know any?" Zoe asked.

"Depends. You know Spanish?" Stan asked.

His two granddaughters just stared blankly at him.

"That's a yes, right?"

"Duh!"

Xxx

WHACK!

"Ow! What was that for?!" Stan rubbed his head after a third whacking.

"Just for being you in general." Lydia retorted. "So where's the waste?"

"Hidden under Mystery Shack." Stan remarked as he stood up. "It's fool proof."

"And there are no kids occupying it?" Lydia asked skeptically.

"Ah…Well, the containers are kept shut and I put some light shields around them so nothing will leak out until we start moving them." Stan remarked. "Man, my granddaughters are really good."

"Unlike you, you dumb bastard." Lydia rolled her eyes. "So when you will have it up and running?"

"Tonight."

Xxx

"Why did you make this contract? You've given her the advantage."

Once Nyx and June were gone Sammael had returned to his throne and sat down, taking a deep breath and as he closed his eyes. "How so?"

"She's a Lady of Chaos. She has no loved ones." Moloch answered.

"She was also human once." Sammael held up a hand and a small rat Grimm appeared on it. "The great thing about a rat is that they can get anywhere. These Scavengers have moved all over the world and anytime they hear something good they pass it down, sending information to each other until it reaches me."

"That's still doesn't explain the term you gave at the end of the contract."

"It does when I know someone she doesn't." Sammael smirked, holding up a picture…of Sky Entrapta Gilligan.

"Is that…"

"Nyx has no memory or connection to her past as a human. Anything she knows that bird will have told her." Sammael reasoned.

"And this helps us how?"

"This girl was sent here by a mother desperate to protect her child. Can we really believe she wouldn't make sure nothing could harm here, even her own mother?"

Moloch was silent before he chuckled. "This could mean Klarion's own plans have been turned against him."

"We'll deal with Nyx and Klarion later. Now we need to focus on Van Kleiss. Have our mailmen delivered the package?"

Moloch closed his eyes for a moment. "…They are just arriving at the mountains."

"Good. This will give Van Kleiss quite the show."

"Faster! Faster! If they catch us with it we're done for!"

A car drove up an old road leading into the mountains of Nowhere Kansas. The passenger and driver were both cat Mobians, the passenger being tall with red fur, orange tipped ears, a blue nose and a green sweater. The driver on the other hand was shorter and had blue fur, pink ear tips, an orange nose, a dark green hat with a brown band wrapped around it, an orange shirt, black tie and a dark green jacket. The car was being chased by a helicopter with police shining a light down to locate the pair of grave robbers that had dodged police ever since they fled Egypt.

The driver suddenly slammed his foot on the brakes, stopping the car in the middle of the road.

"What are you doing?!" His passenger shouted.

"You're right. We've got to hide the thing where we can find it later." The driver got out and opened the truck, pulling out an ancient looking slab with strange markings. "There! Mark that boulder!"

They buried the slab near a boulder the red Mobian marked with his claws.

"We'll come back for it when the heats off." The driver said, rushing back to the car with his partner.

"And we'll be rich." The passenger said with an excited grin.

Just as the driver was about to slam on the gas and take off he noticed something wrong. "Hey! What's happened to the road?"

A strange but very thick fog had come out nowhere, completely blinding the thieves to the road and making it impossible to drive through without running the risk of crashing into something.

Or someone.

A dark form appeared out of the mist, casting a shadow over the car. "Return the slab or suffer my curse."

The thieves just stared at each other.

"Curse?" The passenger echoed.

"What curse?" The driver asked, looking back at the figure.

Immediately a dark cloud appeared out of the mist with a loud buzzing sound coming from it and spun around the car like a tornado. Upon closer inspection it turned out the tornado it was not a cloud but a swarm of locusts. The Grave Robbers screamed as the locusts covered their car and then the car was gone in a matter of seconds. The police chopper flew overhead, continuing the search for the criminals and their stolen item.

Van Kleiss frowned, his security system having detected the car and the chopper. The helicopter continued searching the mountains but the car had completely disappeared.

"What's going on out there?"
