Opening File: Cronus
Cronus was a Titan who existed long ago. Eons ago, before even the Ultimate Evil rose up from the Pit of Hate; the Cosmos was ruled by the Titans and their ruler, Cronus. Cronus was the most powerful Titan and the controller of time. During his reign, Cronus crafted the Gems of Cronus, which gave him power over reality itself. But Cronus went mad due to his arrogance and paranoia, which made him devour all of his children as soon as they were born so that none of them could overthrow him.
In the end, Cronus was stopped by his son Zeus and stripped of the gems which were then cast down to Earth. Cronus was chained to a moon that was then hurled into a black hole with intention that he would be trapped there for eternity.

Opening File: Carla and Lenard Vincent
The parents of Eddward Vincent, they first met when Carla's parents introduced her to Lenard and wished for her to marry him, since his family had a good status, like themselves. She used to be more loose and 'playfully silly', which urged her parents to order her to be on her best behavior whenever Lennard was around. He asked her to marry him just shortly after they met, and while Carla believed he was too serious for her, she accepted on her parents' request. In the first few years of their marriage they were more focused on their careers than spending quality time together, as securing their future was what Lennard wanted.
Many years later, Carla told him about her wish to be a mother, and he was willing to do this for her. Right after Edd was born, she wanted another baby, but this time he declined. This gave her grief at the time, but she didn't bring up the subject again. Because Edd is her only son and she is gone so often, she tries to make him ready for adulthood by giving him chores to do.
She still wants another child at this day and age. Carla used to have an indescribable obsession for pears. After she got married, her husband tried to tone it down, then finally ordered her to quit after she dragged Edd into it. While her appearance hardly reflects this, Carla has a Chinese grandfather, and her love for the pear motif might be because of the stories she was told about his youth as a pear picker in China; a country that produces and eats these fruits the most.
As for Lenard he is a headmaster of a university outside of Peach Creek. Compared to his wife, he has little face-to-face contact with Edd, but like her, tries to communicate his wishes and support through sticky-notes. Lennard is intelligent, handy, and friendly, but strict and not good with reading people's emotions. He doesn't always understand a simple hint, though his intentions are good.
Not many can deal with his comments, though, and Carla is one of the few who understands the underlying message. His wife's parents once met his at a convention and were very impressed by their success in the business world. Because Lennard was pretty much raised the same way as Carla and she seemed like a proper lady, he was quickly charmed. He asked her to marry him just shortly after they met, but soon came to discover she wasn't as serious and sane she appeared to him at first.
Next to her strange obsession with pears, she turned out to have the personality of a curious teenager. Lennard was surprised and a bit embarrassed, yet it didn't discourage him from marrying her and promised himself to make an adult out of her. Carla shared with him her wishes for a family right after marriage, but he insisted a good career was more important than a good relationship and theirs could wait. She asked him again for a baby years later.
After giving birth to Edd, Lennard advised her to not stop working and keep making a name for herself. He has Romanian ancestry and was the one who gave Edd his second name "Marian", where it qualifies as a male given name.

Opening File: Guardians of the Future
At the dawn of time the Azure Guardian of Time and Space had been charged protecting the flow of time as a member of the Six Founding Spiral. Despite his great powers he is still limited in his ability as the Spiral are forbidden from directly interfering in the physical world unless called upon or through a specific loophole. To answer for this small weakness the Guardian of Time found assistance in a handful of beings who had all been touched by the ability to see through time and recruited them, making them fellow Guardians. They are not only charged with protecting the flow of time but to also aid in saving and protecting countless worlds and people, even other realities.
They are tasked with operating in secret, ensuring that none know of their existence on the worlds they protect and save. Every year, every month, every day, every hour, every minute and every second is spent saving one reality from disaster and then moving on to save the next. As Guardians of Time they no longer need to eat, sleep and are even immune to the effects of aging. They can be at any place any time to ensure the futures of the realities they save are the perfect possible ones.

"You ever experience a moment when all hope seems lost only for something incredible to happen. A last minute save by a hero or even a coincidental series of events that leads to everything turning out okay. Are they the work of someone behind the scenes or perhaps you can rely on people ready to believe in doing the right thing at the right moment?" TOM wondered, watching the files as they closed. "Can we say for certain there not people out there, with special gifts, powers, abilities or technology that wage an eternal struggle against the forces of darkness and evil? How would we know when we're only mortal? Maybe things can work out on their own and maybe sometimes a helping hand is needed to nudge them in the right direction, just for the chance of coming one step closer to a future where we are all healthy, loved and living in perfect luxury whether it be a castle reaching into the sky or a humble little shack overlooking a beautiful sea of sparkling blue. I guess in the end, we all strive and hope that one day instead of finding that future, that future finds us."
Xxx
Far across the edges of known space, out in the dark, something stirred.
"Finally. After all these years…a chance to escape."
It had sensed a chance some time ago.
On a blue planet that had been among the many it had ruled over.
Someone had tampered with the flow of time.
Though time had most repaired itself there had been a small crack.
That was just enough for it to work with.
"If someone can hear me…I offer the secret…to mastering time."
Xxx
She could not allow it to end like this.
This was her future.
Her world.
She ruled it all.
She leapt up onto the two, grabbing at them and lit her hand with green fire. "No way!"
Before she could attack she was kicked off by the red haired menace that ruined it all for her, sending her falling out the window.
"Way." She could hear the brat say before it was all over…
Except it wasn't.
"You seek revenge? You seek power?" A voice echoed into her mind as she fell into a void. "Then listen to me and all your desires will be granted."
Xxx
In a home somewhere in the suburbs where technology has seemed to noticeably advance quite a few years, with faster speeding cars, taller buildings on the outskirts, and street lights with a more luminescent glow. In one house, a teenager sitting in his dark room as he has blueprints scattered all over the floor while having his lamp, the only light in the room, illuminate the device he was working on. He just used the screwdriver he was holding to screw in one last screw and...
"Done! Finally done! I didn't think I would be finished with it this soon but... Here it is!" Said the teenager as he stood up in joy and looked at the watch in his hands. But it wasn't any old watch, but it was something very powerful and dangerous.
"Those IDIOTS back in that university LAUGHED at my theories of generating Chrono energies and traveling safely to the future and the past! They even KICKED me out when I just borrowed a few of their supplies to create it! And with it, I'll make sure they were never BORN HAHAHAHA-" But the teenager stopped with his maniacal laughter as he stopped and started talking to himself again. "Woah, woah, woah, Aion... You don't want to kill anyone... Or, at least not yet... But you have to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when travelling through time! One wrong move and there can be a dystopian future! Or even, a world without life... But I already KNOW the risks to time travel! Heck! I created a time travel machine!"
The boy named Aion yelled as he put on his watch and started tinkering with it once more. "Just remember Aion... Only steal things that nobody will miss... And maybe then I'll be far, far away from that drunken idiot. Hopefully I won't be interru-"
And right before Aion could've finished his sentence, he heard a yell come from down stairs. "AIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNN! You were supposed to take out the trash you stupid excuse for a son!" Heavy footsteps started coming up the stairs and towards his room.
Aion looked at the door in anger and annoyance as he muttered. "Oh great..."
As the door slammed open to reveal a heavy set greasy man standing there with an empty beer bottle in his hand. "If you WANT to live under my roof and eat MY FOOD, you better take the trash out! You should be happy that I was kind enough to let your sorry butt back in here after being kicked out of a university!"
Aion just stared at his father, hiding his anger and disdain as he answered. "Alright, I'll do it..."
"That's better! But not good enough!" Aion's father yelled as he came marching in and started down at his son. "I could've had a Huntsman or even a Huntress for a kid... But no, I had to have a kid who was stupid enough to believe he could invent 'time travel'! Ugh, I don't deserve this..." The man said as he turned around and started to walk away but he was stopped as he heard Aion's voice.
"You're wrong!" Aion's father turned around to look at his son.
"What did you just say to me?" The man asked as Aion looked down at the device on his wrist in the form of a watch as he started clicking away at the controls on it.
"No Dad! I DID create time travel! And it's this watch! With it, I can travel backwards and forwards in time! You and those college professors laughed at me and called me a failure! But now you'll see... You'll all see!" The boy yelled as he held up the watch to his face which was suddenly grabbed by his dad.
"You mean this watch!? You decided to get kicked out of college, and not even be willing to get a job over staying in your room all day and building THIS STUPID THING!?" Aion's father yelled as he shoved his son's arm away and turned around, taking a few steps away. "I was wrong, you're not an idiot, you're crazy."
Aion then exploded with fury with a face of pure rage. "YOU KNOW WHAT!? THAT'S IT! I NOW HAVE THE POWER TO DO ANYTHING! AND I'M NOT GOING TO WASTE MY LIFE STANDING HERE AND BEING LECTURED BY A STUPID OLD MAN LIKE YOU!" The teen yelled as he clicked on his watch a few more times, as a bright white portal opened up behind him.
The man looked on in shock and surprise as he took one step back. "How... How did..."
"NOT SO CRAZY NOW... AM I DEAR OLD DAD!?" Aion yelled in fury, before his enraged grimace transformed into a confident smiled. He looked down at his work table once more as he grabbed a pair of black goggles before putting them on. "I should really take these... I'm gonna have a bright future, and I don't want to be blinded by the glory... But you should be HAPPY! You're THE biological father to the new emperor of the world! AION KRONOS!"
With that Aion turned around and jumped into the bright portal before it closed.

"It's happening."
The Azure Guardian of Time felt a sudden shift in the time stream. In front of him appeared four beings, each of whom he had chosen to help in protecting the flow of time.
"So, has someone figured out time travel again?" A woman with short red hair and dressed in a white and blue outfit asked.
"Yes. Only this time they had help…from him." The Guardian answered. "The previous one to tamper with time was done by that idiot scientist but even though he was prevented from completely disrupting time it still allowed for a small crack to form. What was predicted long ago is at last coming to pass."
"You mean a crack in his chains." A man wearing a white lab coat said.
The Guardian nodded. "It makes sense now that he would try and break free. The threat of Cipher, GOLB and Canaletto would be distracting enough."
"We can make sure they don't catch wind of what is going on. Even they are blind to the future." A man with a beard and wearing a dark suit stated.
"But there are some who are not blind to time." The fourth speaker, a Gargoyle stated.
"Yeah, he might be trouble…But we still have work to do." The Guardian stated. "We'll have to figure out who is best to help deal with this."

Night had fallen.
The moon was up.
That was the perfect time to begin…
The Ceremony.
The Imakandi were more than just a race of hunters.
They had delved deep into the mystic arts, rejecting technology and embracing another form of resource.
Before a fire, four Imakandi sat, legs crossed and eyes closed.
Around them, music was played and a dancer in a mask moved to the sound, their movements elegant and quick.
Then as one, the four chosen opened their eyes, revealing a bright blue glow. From their bodies came glowing outlines of themselves and that came together above the fire. As the four astral forms hovered above it, the fire turned blue and reached up, engulfing the four projections into a single ball of fire that remained still for a second…
And then shot right off of the surface and into the deep reaches of space.

"Now we move onto the chakra of sound, located in the throat. It is located in the throat. It represents truth and is blocked by lies."
Raven closed her eyes and focused on the next chakra.
Lies…
It was hard to say what exactly she had lied about.
Until she remembered…
Him.
The dragon.
Even after all this time she found it hard to utter her name, even in her mind.
Malchior had made her feel special.
Made her smile in a way she never thought she could.
Made her feel not…creepy.
Then she found out the truth.
"He lied to me. He lied. And I have him what he wanted." Raven remembered uttering those words.
She had been depressed.
But her friends were in danger.
She pulled herself together long enough to trap Malchior back in the book where he belonged.
But in the end she was left feeling…empty.
Sad.
All emotions she tried to suppress weighing down on her more than they ever had before.
"The greater you struggled against your power, the more it resists. Embrace what you have inside, let it become you, and you will find who you are meant to be." Raven remembered Starfire saying those words to Red Star.
"If you knew what I really am, you wouldn't want me around." She told Robin one time who responded by saying, "I know enough."
"Just a natural part of being unnatural." Cyborg's voice spoke next.
And then…
"You think you're alone Raven, but you're not." Raven's eyes widened at the memory of Beast Boy coming to comfort her after they defeated Malchior.
That was not a lie.
That was perhaps the most honest thing she had ever heard.
And what she had needed to hear at the time.
Raven opened her eyes, revealing a white glow from them along with a third glow coming from her throat.
"The fifth chakra is opened." Azar stated, still and composed as ever. "We are nearing the end. Do you wish to continue?"
Raven nodded. "Yes."
"Then we move on to the sixth chakra, the light chakra. It represents insight and is blocked by illusion."

"Wow. You got this down fast."
It was amazing simple when you are a member of a species meant to be the best at…everything. The Pearls named Elsa and Anna already soaped up all the information on Aura integrated weaponry that Nigel and Abby had shown in the many books they had gathered for constructing their own weapons.
The only thing left was to find the tool and equipment needed to create them.
Luckily the Uno parents had seen fit to make sure all the proper tools were there, only after making sure the kids had appropriate training with them and understood the potential dangers.
Then came the difficult part.
Assembling the weapons was easier said than done, especially given their complexities but the two Pearls had already a near perfect understanding of how it could be done.
Making the outer casing for each weapon and then working on the inner mechanism.
Aura could manipulate the mechanisms easily but if they were not properly shaped and aligned they would immediately break apart. Once the Pearls had looked over the schematics for the weapons they even made their own recommendations to help construct the weapons to make them more effective.
"The Dust canister should go right here." Nigel said, placing the canister into the circular hilt with a handle attached to it.
"We could make room for it and the blade to fit in the center of it." Elsa suggested. "The steel would have to be thinned if we modify the canister."
"Yeah." Nigel nodded in agreement. "And maybe put some extra protection around it to protect the Dust from my Frost Fire."
Elsa nodded, holding up a blow torch and a face mask. "Agreed."
On the other end of the workshop basement Abby held up the end of a metal cane that had been broken near the end by the very blow torch Elsa was using now. The purpose was so that the handle would be attached to the custom modified blade shaped like a katana sword she had seen on a few movies that would be placed in a sheath that resembled a double edged European sword with an opening in the middle. The sheath had a small built in handle that could be used as an extra weapon in battle.
"So you plan on using this as an extra weapon?" Anna asked, holding up the sheath.
"Think of it as being prepared." Abby answered, holding up a red colored rope. "And a little something to make sure neither get away."
Over with Nigel and Elsa the Ice Peal watched in awe as her Elemental, even though he insisted she just call him Nigel assembled the pieces together. First was the hilt that could split into two with one handle holding the trigger for the weapon when in pistol mode. Then came connecting the blade with the hilt with the blade being one that Elsa had helped make from a combination of Gem dust and steal that was actually used in constructing Gem based weaponry. The blade had been made by a blacksmith that Monty had paid to create.
Once it was brought together Nigel held it up for Elsa to see.
It had a grey hilt with a black handle and Nigel focused his Aura into it a blade emerged from the hilt, showing a rapier. Nigel made a few experimental slashes before focusing again and the blade retracted and the hilt split, creating a second bar with a pistol built into it and a handle was connected to the inner bar.
This was his weapon.
Nigel held his weapon up with pride. "Equilibrium."
"It's a fine weapon, Nigel." Elsa said, feeling proud to have taken part in its construction.
Back with Abby and Anna, the Pearl watched as Abby held up the handle which was colored red and white like a candy cane and pulled the sword out of its handle. The blade matched the color of the handle with a gold hilt.
Abby smiled as she held the blade in one hand and the sword sheath in the other before she put them back together. She then gave it a twirl in one hand and struck a pose, holding her weapon in front of her like a cane.
"Marvelous." Anna remarked.
"Thanks." Abby gave her weapon, Sugar Rush another twirl.
"Kids."
Everyone stopped their work and looked up at the top of the stairs, seeing Monty Uno standing at the doorway. "I thought I should remind you that we have our tickets and our flight to Moanna will be this weekend. Is that good?"
The kids nodded but then looked at the Pearls.
"What about Elsa and Anna?" Nigel asked.
"Don't worry. I talked with Mr. Sebben about that and he arranged for our two new guests to be properly set up." Monty answered. "Make sure you are all properly packed by then. And also-"
"Hey, you guys started making your weapons?!" Wally Beatles jumped out from behind Monty and rushed down the stairs. "I thought this was going to be a team thing!"
"It is." Abby put her sword, Sugar Rush down on the bench. "But since you almost lost a hand in machine shop we figured we'd get ours done and then help you. Then you'd be less likely to kill somebody. Slightly less likely and with that somebody probably being you."
"Hey!"
Monty rolled his eyes as he left the kids to their work. Normally he'd supervise but he believed Elsa and Anna would be fine doing it.

"Ah-Mah, what's the matter?"
Ray-Ray and Dennis had come over to Jasmine's place after hearing that June had disappeared with some sort of strange magical woman. They quickly found her bent over and seemingly in pain. Monroe quickly brought some tea to her but she stood up, pushing past him and walked over to her remaining grandchildren.
"Do you feel it?" Jasmine asked both boys.
"Feel what?" Dennis asked.
"June…June has severed her link with the Elders…She's not the Te Xuan Ze anymore." Jasmine brought a hand to her face, rubbing it over. "She somehow broke the link."
"WHAT?!"
Neither brother could believe what they were hearing.
Juniper giving up being the Te Xuan Ze?
Why?
Sure, she hated being stuck in Orchid Bay and having to do all the fighting but what about all the monsters rampaging and the magical bad guys popping up left and right here?
Would she really abandon everyone she cared for to the monsters they knew existed?
"Boys, I need to know if anything has changed about the two of you." Jasmine quickly said, looking over Dennis. "Have you felt…different somehow?"
"Like what?" Dennis asked.
"Like suddenly you had the power of the Te Xuan Ze."
"Uh, Ah-Mah?"
Both turned to Ray-Ray and Jasmine gasped when she saw a pink/red strand in the young boy's hair. "No…"
"No way. You're the new magical guardian." Dennis moaned, pointing at his younger brother. "You've got to be kidding!"
Ray-Ray looked at his hands and then at Jasmine's car. He walked over and tried to lift it.
"Ray-Ray, don't-"
Monroe's rebuke was cut off as Ray-Ray easily lifted the car off the ground, despite the fact there was no possible a boy his age could do it.
"It's true. Ray-Ray has become the new Te Xuan Ze." Jasmine said, watching as Ray-Ray put the car down. "The small bit of magic in him must have been picked up by the Elders and made him June's replacement."
"They can't be serious. The wee lad might have been through a few scrapes but making him June's replacement already?" Monroe exclaimed and shook his head. "This would have been so much easier if the powers didn't skip your son and go straight to June. He's not even close to being ready for the troubles outside of the city."
"There is no choice. June is gone and Ray-Ray by default is the new Te Xuan Ze. He's about the same age June was when she got her powers." Jasmine stated as Ray-Ray walked back up to them and knelt down in front of her grandson. "Ray-Ray, you'll have to take your sister's place."
"What about June?" Ray-Ray asked, his usual excitable demeanor replaced with worry for his sister.
"You let me worry about June." Jasmine patted Ray-Ray on the shoulder. "I only hope she doesn't do something stupid."
Xxx
"This may sound stupid but why did you go ahead and meet with the so-called King of the Grimm?"
Juniper was now back in Nyx's pocket dimension, a place she could hide and recharge her magical powers for a time. It was a cozy little dimension resembling a black void with a single black and purple colored house. Flowers colored purple, blue and black lined along the front porch
"I needed to make sure Sammael wouldn't get in my way." Nyx replied as she walked in, followed by June. "That guy's been around a long time and he knows how to deal with my kind of magical folk. He knows things about magic even you, me and Klarion don't."
"Like what?" June asked.
"Like how to imprison chaos entities…or worse." Nyx shuddered slightly. "A magical vow between us will keep the two of us from bothering each other for a while."
"You mean you're not worried about the vow being used against you? What about what he said? If you try anything against him you magic will-"
"Kill the one I love most?" Nyx rolled her eyes as she on a purple chair near the fireplace. "He probably means my older sister."
"Your sister?" June sat on the couch.
"Well, the sister from my mortal life. Pericles filled me in on her." Nyx said, gesturing to the bird who was perched on top of her chair. "After our mortal mother abandoned both of us in Gravity Falls our foster parents didn't really pay much attention. My sister, Tambry was forced to pick up the slack and looked after me as best a little girl could at the time. She did her best, I suppose and in some way if not for her being stuck trying to raise me I wouldn't be who I am today."
"What?" June questioned.
"I got curious when mom would finally come only she never did. Tambry didn't like talking about her and me being the gullible little girl I was back then threw a temper tantrum and then ran into the woods where I found the book that would lead the poor abandoned little girl to becoming-" Nyx gestured to herself with a smile. "Moi."
"And you're not worried about her dying?" June probed.
"Let me get something straight with you, Juniper. The little girl, the sad crying little Nyx Kane, is dead. When she died everything about her died as well, including what little bonds she had to anyone in this pitiful mortal world. The only memories I have are the ones Pericles gave me of a pathetic child throwing a fit because mommy didn't love her." Nyx stated with a dark look in her eyes as she leaned forward with a cruel smile. "Don't forget who you are dealing with, June bug. I am now Nyx, Lady of Chaos and I have the freedom that pitiful brat wasted a life time yearning for. I feel nothing for the people of my past life, no memories, no longing and certainly no affection."
Juniper leaned back, taken back by the sudden…demonic aura Nyx was emitting around her. Or has it already been there and June had been too blind to see it until now? The moment they had met Nyx had seemingly wanted to help her and as much as it went against what June had been taught she hadn't exactly been wrong.
But June had suddenly had a bad feeling that maybe she had been a little too quick in her decision to ally with Nyx even if she had freed her from her life as the Te Xuan Ze.
"Now don't get me wrong." Nyx leaned back in her chair. "I'm grateful you've decided to help me and I was glad to set you free. As a Lady of Chaos I find the idea of being free to do whatever you want absolutely…divine. Of course the only problem I am not completely free…Not yet."
"What do you mean?" June cleared her throat.
"I still have the little problem of others who might ruin my fun. Sammael, Klarion, Cipher, Canaletto, and even GOLB and all the goodie goodies out there. As much as I'd love to say I am totally free I am not there yet until I have made sure they can't mess things up for me." Nyx stated. "Klarion and Cipher think they can spread chaos to the rest of the world through me and I say…I'll spread my own brand of chaos thank you very much and I guess I'd like to pay homage to those feelings of deceit and hatred of my former weak mortal self."
"So…You want to take them out so you can run around do whatever you want." Juniper stated.
"Bingo!" Nyx snapped her fingers.
"But when what about-"
"My sister? Obviously Sammael is gambling on the idea I might retain a…tiny bit of affection for her, believing I won't run the risk of her dying. Not a bad idea but he's probably been watching too many drama and romance movies or read too many books. Who knows what he has for entertainment since he's so old." Nyx shrugged. "I on the other hand have the option of forcing him into a corner where he could lose control of the only thing he's had that has kept him up and moving the last several thousand years: his power. He's certainly spent a great amount of time working to build up his strength and he's definitely got the edge." Nyx then grinned. "But that very same power can become his greatest weakness if you know where to hit."
"And you think you're magic will be able to do that? Trick him into going against you and cause his powers to go out of control? You said he knows how to deal with people like you." June pointed out.
"Sure, he might find a way to weasel out of the vow but it's not as easy as you might think." Nyx chuckled. "Besides, between all the troubles coming our way dealing with a pretty little gal like me is the least of his problems."
Somehow June didn't think it was that easy.
In face she wondered if Nyx hadn't somehow overlooked a critical detail when she made the deal with Sammael.
Just the way he spoke made June shiver, as if he knew something they didn't and wasn't afraid to let them know.
Xxx
"Mother and Father are sure to be annoyed at my long absence. The curse of being an only child I suppose."
It's not as if he meant to be gone for nearly a day or two.
He just had to go to another dimension to save Dipper's sister from being brainwashed into being a mindless princess.
I do not like being this far from the Mystery Shack. The portal must be monitored.
"You can monitor the portal from the cameras set up there. I know you can." Double D said as he walked past the gates leading into the Northwest Mansion.
There is a difference between observing and being there in person.
"And I need to check in on my parents." Double D said, opening the door. "They will likely want to question me about my absence."
"I wouldn't worry too much about that."
Double D stopped and looked up at the top of the stairs in the grand lobby of the mansion, seeing Preston Northwest standing at the top with a glass of wine in his hand.
"Mr. Northwest. I apologize for my disappearance earlier. Can you direct me as to where my parents are?" Double D cleared his throat and politely asked.
"Let's not stand on ceremony here, boy. Or should I say…Armatae?" Preston said with a nasty grin.
Double D stiffened but worked to keep himself calm. "Excuse me?"
"It was surprising to hear that you had gained access to perhaps the most deadly weapon in the world." Preston started as he began walking down the stairs. "A weapon designed to destroy the master himself."
"Master himself…" Double D narrowed his eyes. "So you are working for Bill Cipher. How anyone could actually be sane enough to work for that monster is beyond me."
"It's not a question of sanity, it's just business." Preston replied, stopping at the bottom of the stairs. "A deal made to ensure mutual benefits."
"If you think Cipher would actually live up to whatever bargain he has made with you then you are not only insane but lacking in any common sense." Double D stated.
"The only one lacking any sense around here would be you, boy." Preston retorted. "You really think a suit of armor can stop what's coming? Cipher is the only one who can protect this town."
"Protect?" Double D stepped back. "That's a laugh if there ever was one."
"You never wondered why the Grimm have trouble entering this town?" Preston asked. "Cities such as GrimmFall, Denver, and Empire City not only have heroes, hunters they also have high tech defense systems to protect them. Smaller towns and villages are often networked with special apps and programs for instant alerts for possible Grimm attacks. But Gravity Falls has none of that and yet the Grimm never bother this town, even when the people are in a frenzy."
"And your reason for siding with Bill is because of that?" Double D questioned.
"Oh, it has everything to do with it." Preston chuckled. "While the Grimm and the Fallen destroy the rest of the world we'll remain safe here in Gravity Falls but if we release the master we'll have a front row seat to seeing all those problems wash away. Perhaps literally. Of course that is only possible by making sure…" Preston leaned forward, glaring Double D in the eyes. "Certain obstacles are removed."
Double D stepped and Armatae went into armor mode, protecting its core unit. "You harm me and I guarantee Armatae will not hesitate to put you down."
Literally.
"I am aware. Which is why…" Preston brought his tablet out and showed the screen to Double D. "I took precautions."
Double D's eyes widened in horror, seeing his parents gagged and chained against the wall of what looked like a dungeon. "You fiend!"
"An apt term if I do say so myself." Preston lowered the tablet. "Here's the deal. You are now working for me and the master. You will do what we say of you and if you follow our orders to the letter your parents will not only be released they will be released unharmed."
Double D gritted his teeth but mentally commanded Armatae to withdraw its armor which it did, allowing him to show a glare of hatred at Preston.
"Good. Now you are going to help an acquaintance of mine deal with these two." Preston held up his tablet again.
On the screen was a live image of Miss Spell and Phan-Tone, entering Gravity Falls and heading towards the Mystery Shack.
Xxx
A blue pulsing light glowed inside the Mystery Shack.
The reason?
Stan Pines in the underground laboratory beneath the Shack was working on the universe portal. Stan pulled a lever, and green fluid pumps into large, glass tanks.
"Come on, come on. Should be just enough to finish the job." He removed his fez and glove, and without knowing, wipes toxic waste on his forehead, which sizzles and briefly glowed green. "Whew. Can't be too careful with this stuff."
"Especially around you." Lydia Gilligan said from the upper controls with Zoe and Frida.
Red lights flashed and a buzzer went off. Stan smiled and turns to look at screen. The screen read 'EVENT INITIALIZED' and an eighteen hour countdown began.
Stan opened the first journal. 'Warning,' blah blah blah, 'Extreme usage could result in minor gravity anomalies. Can it, Poindexter!" He slammed the journal shut. "I've come this far. I'm not givin' up now!" With that he pushed a button, and the portal began to spin. "Yes, this is it."
Stan's fez floated off of his head.

Outside the Shack, rocks float off the ground, along with Gompers the goat. A boat lifts out of the lake. In the scrapyard, broken-down cars and junk lift off the ground, and inside McGucket's makeshift shack, a blue light blinks, illuminating the sleeping and floating McGucket.
Xxx
Back in the Shack, Dipper and Mabel, as well as Waddles, floated off their beds, but slept undisturbed. There was a resounding 'thunk' as everything in town touched back down to the ground.
Xxx
"It's gonna be a bumpy ride, but it'll all be worth it." Stan said as he synchronized what looks like a large wristwatch with the steadily ticking countdown, still displayed on the monitor. "Just eighteen more hours. Finally, everything changes. Today."
"Good. If my grandson is still alive…" Lydia looked at the portal. "He better come out if he knows what's good for him. Or I'll go in after him."

"How is the Slime doing?"
After setting Ed up in his shack Rolf emerged to see his other…guest sitting up in the only tree in the backyard of his home.
Aisling was perched on a branch, looking very relaxed as she looked up at the night sky.
"Ed-boy just needs time to confront his woes." Rolf answered. "And what of you, mystic one?"
"Just call me Aisling." The fairy said in an annoyed tone. "I have no need for formality, especially since there was not much worship even when my people were alive."
"Yes, forgive Rolf." Rolf said quickly. "But still, Rolf is curious."
"About what?" Aisling asked.
"Aisling, did you try and help create the Book of Kells?" Rolf asked.
Aisling's eyes widened and she seemed stunned for a second. "What of it? The Book, if it existed was lost with Kells."
"Rolf knows the legend. The people of Kells were closest to the domain of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named Crom Cruach. They sought to create a book that would turn darkness to light." Rolf stated.
"And what good did it bring?" Aisling frowned. "Darkness spread still. The first men came to Ireland in search of refuge and then gold, struggling to subdue the land and then stop the Grimm they turned to the Dark One. Their worship gave it strength they could not control. I watched the Tuatha De Danann fight to subdue it but in the end they died…" Aisling looked up at the stars. "My mother was the last to die. The Book could not be complete because the darkness grew too strong. Darkness overthrew the light."
"And yet in the end Crom was defeated." Rolf pointed out.
"And yet in the end…After my people were wiped out, after the Kells was burned to the ground by Crom and his heathen followers." Aisling glared down at Rolf. "You, who now holds the Shepard's Cane. What matter of the book is it to you?"
"Rolf sees the importance of Rolf's history and wishes to know and preserve it." Rolf answered. "The Book is legend in the Old Country."
"Do yourself a favor then, focus on here and now." Aisling stated.
"And what must Rolf do with the Cane now?" Rolf questioned.
"You must…" Aisling stopped and frowned. "Where is the cane?"
"It's in Rolf's roo-" Rolf was cut off as Aisling shot out of the tree and cashed through the window of Rolf's room. "SON OF A GUN!"
Just as Aisling landed in Rolf's room she spotted someone…holding the Cane. "Put. That. Down."
The intruder spun around, summoning a portal and jumped into it.
As soon as the portal was closed Rolf knocked down the door and looked around his room, seeing the Cane was gone. "…Rolf has a feeling Rolf will be doing the Walk of Shame for many a moon."
Aisling only glared at him before grabbing him by the arm. "Come on. We're tracking that Cane."
"How?"
"The same way I found you: magic." She said before her hair wrapped around him and both turned into a white mist that shot out of the bedroom.

"Commander Gantu. Xylene's pod has landed on the Earth."
"Good." Gantu nodded in satisfaction. "Now about the Gem signature on the moon."
"It's…hard to explain, sir. We had a lock and then it vanished." The officer reported.
Gantu frowned. "How?"
"We don't know."
"That's not the answer I am looking for." Gantu growled. "Earth is becoming a hot spot of strange activity and I want an explanation."
"Sir, we're-" The officer stopped as his scanners picked up something. "Sir, we have an energy surge on fast approach."
"Where?"
"Coming from behind-" The officer stopped as the bridge crew could see a blast of blue fire fly past the ship. "Just past us."
"Track it!" Gantu ordered.

"Sir, we have a report on what happened in the warehouse on the docks."
Mayor Sebben looked up his daily paper work that he was almost done when Miss Briggs walked in followed by Flay with a report and a newspaper. He was so looking forward to a break by using his Semblance to hurry up and finish all the paper work. That was actually how he usually got a day's work done in a few hours instead of a full day with only Callie knowing about this habit.
"Shouldn't Chief Fizz be looking at this?" Sebben asked as he accepted the report and the paper.
The headlined on the paper read: RENEGADE ROBOTS RUN OUT MOB. A sub-heading read: MAYOR SEBBEN NEXT TARGET.
"Normally sir but this might be different. The warehouse that was burned down was used a front for a Red Cap smuggling operation. The gang that was running the warehouse used to work for a pair of criminals: Mace and Molly Mange."
Sebben raised an eyebrow. "GrimmFall's two most wanted Mobian criminals? I was under the impression they had been dead for months, following their attempted escape from Alcatraz prison."
"That's what we all thought. According to the one survivor of the gang that was attacked, a low life cat Mobian named Fango." Callie replied. "According to him they are not only not dead but they are apparently robots now. Calling themselves the Metallikats and they want revenge."
"On who?" Sebben put the report down.
"You, sir." Callie answered, making the mayor raise an eyebrow. "Before they were sentenced to life in Alcatraz Mace and Molly sent you a large bribe in the hopes you would parole them."
"I don't remember receiving a bribe." Sebben replied.
"That's because I denied them, sir. If anyone deserved to spend all of their nine lives in jail, it's those two." Callie answered.
"So we have two criminals who are possibly now dangerous machines coming after me for what you did." Sebben stated, an amused smile appearing on his face.
Callie shifted uncomfortably. "Y-Yes, sir. Considering your job as mayor, headmaster and of course coordinating with Justice Friends against global threats I thought I could try and lighten the load."
"Well, either we know Macy and Molly will be coming here anyways." Sebben stated. "Tell the civilian staff they are free to go home early."
"Yes, mayor."
Sebben looked to Flay who had been silent. "That includes you as well, Miss Flay."
Flay had been silent the entire time, deciding listening would be better and because she had hoped not to arouse suspicion. "Yes, Mr. Sebben."
As she turned to walk out the office she noticed a bug crawling along the carpet. Her senses telling her something was off she promptly crushed it with her boot, feeling the bug being crushed and feeling an instant electrical surge that told her it was no bug.
It was a listening device.
Xxx
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
The person listening on the other hand threw headset off his head before his ears popped.
"Blasted machine!" Psycrow grumbled, kicking off his chair. "Guess the mayor's not much of a dupe as I thought."
Why an intergalactic criminal was listening in on the mayor of GrimmFall, you ask.
The answer?
"Probodor should be happy with what I got." Psycrow muttered, having spent weeks collecting on Earth's fighters. "So when the big guy finally wakes up for his big entrance he should be happy. And a happy client has no problem paying extra."
Obviously money.

"Heero, this is too far."
This conversation was taking place in GrimmFall Park but at the same time it was in a location unknown to almost the entire populace. It was in fact taking place in the office on a ship that cloaked or camouflaged, depending on who would think up the term, hiding it from plain sight. This ship's crew wore what appeared to be military uniforms with some wearing uniforms more suited for engineering as they went about their business, making daily reports on the inner workings of the ship or checking to make sure all their mechs(they called them Mobile Suits) were at peak efficiency. As for the conversation is was taking place in an office with turtle Mobian speaking with a young man whose military ranking was that of an admiral.
"It was one thing to spy on the sparring matches in the Hall of Heroes but now you're trying to get access to restricted information in the Hall of Heroes and from Sebben's personal data base. I thought you were trying to avoid getting drawn into a conflict." The Mobian, Leo argued.
"We need the information to properly form a plan of what we are going to do here." The admiral, Heero calmly replied back.
"And what will you do if Akira or Flay get caught? Sebben and the others are very careful; maybe even a little paranoid about classified information but rightfully in some matters. Even if you get your hands on the information if there is one single hint that someone broke in and took it they'll not stop until they know who is responsible. You already saw Sebben knows you are here so you must know he probably has you and the others under surveillance." Leo pointed out.
"It has been considered." Heero calmly admitted.
"Then you must also know what he'll do next. He warned you not to cause trouble here and that's what you are running the risk of doing." Leo stated.
"And what would have me do, Leo?" Heero faced the Mobian. "We need identify who is our ally and who is our enemy here in this dimension."
"You know that already. Sammael, the Satyra, they are the enemies." Leo recalled.
"But who does Sammael have working for him? Who are key members of Satyra? Cree has only identified three teams working for Sammael and we only know of potential Satyra agents from researching articles in the SkyWeb. That's not enough." Heero stated, knowing the logistics were not in his favor.
"There are other ways to find out then espionage, especially against a potential ally." Leo argued.
"And what would that be?"
"Meet Sebben face to face. Arrange a meeting with him and see if you can work out an agreement to access the information you need." Leo answered.
"Out of the question. I don't know enough about Sebben to make a call like that." Heero rebuked.
"But you took a Seer aboard this ship against my advice. Sure your Zero system said things could have been worse but it still could have led to a disaster. You took Cree aboard this ship and offered to make her a double agent despite how dangerous that could be for both you and her. You even went out in broad daylight and helped destroy that frozen tidal wave." Leo recalled. "Sebben knows you're here and he could have done something but he hasn't. He hasn't acted yet because he knows you're here not to cause trouble."
"In theory." Heero mused.
"So make it a fact. You're worried about Sammael finding out about you and turning this world against you but you so bent on keeping yourselves secret that you're risking something worse." Leo stated.
"And that is?"
"Your credibility. You can't claim to be helping the world like this when you are working behind people's backs like this. You're even so sure your technology will keep you ahead of everyone but that's all as much a theory as your claim to Sebben not acting against you because you have yet to provoke him." Leo stated. "If you arrange to meet with him, even without showing yourself you can at least inform him of your intentions before someone gets the wrong idea."
"And you think he can protect us?" Heero retorted. "As powerful as he is he is still one man."
"A man who has worked in secret with others to try and protect this world from multiple threats. A man who has seen multiple possible futures and struggles each day to make the right decisions that can lead to the perfect possible one." Leo stated.
"You sound like you admire him." Heero noted.
"He and my father go way back. He has worked hard and struggled to make the world as safe as it can be given what we face." Leo stated honestly.
"I can admire him for that but I need more than just your vouch before I will even think of meeting with him. Just because he might be as good as you say doesn't mean any allies he has will be the same." Heero put down the report he had been up until now pretending to read. "We need facts. We need targets. We need to know who to point our weapons at and who we can offer our hand to with complete certainty."
"And you're willing to risk everyone pointing their weapons to you if they find out you are sneaking behind their backs?" Leo asked.
"It's the cost of war, Leo. We operate best in secret." Heero leaned back in his chair.
"I was trained in the art in Ninjutsu, Heero. You don't need to tell me about the necessity of secrecy. But my honor tells me when and where secrecy must end and I tell you now that if it goes on too long here, then Sammael will be the least of your problems. This policy of secrecy and gaining information at any cost is not helping your case, Heero no matter what experience you might have." Leo said, turning to the door when he saw he could not convince Heero against his present course of action.
Just before he reached the door an alarm sounded.
"Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!"
Heero jumped to his feet, slamming his finger down on the intercom. "Report!"
"There's an intruder in the engine room! They've sealed the room!"
"I'll be right down there." Heero said, rushing to the door and out of the room with Leo.
Xxx
"This will do." Aion grinned as he looked up upon the transdimensional jump drive of the ship.
He quickly got to work on disassembling the drive, planning on taking its key components with him, including the crystalline power source that looked like Dust but the history data referred to it as Energon. On his back was Rolf's Cane that he took just before coming here and he did not notice it vibrating slightly as a white mist came in through the air vent.
Xxx
Outside the door to the engine room Heero arrived along with Leo and Cree to see several crewmembers holding blow torches out to slowly cut their way. "Report."
"We can't open the door from this side. He changed the security codes and locked us out somehow." Chief Lee reported in frustration. "He's also disabled the transdimensional drive."
Heero bit his lip, knowing the ship and its crew would be trapped here in this dimension. "We need it open now."
"We're trying. You know how reinforced these doors are."
"I got an idea." Leo suggested. "Allow me."
Leo activated his Semblance, creating a duplicate of himself that curled itself into its shell. "When in doubt, use your shell."
He created another duplicate that helped him pick up the first one. Then they ran forward, using the duplicate's shell as a battering ram, slamming against the door and leaving a nasty dent on it.
"Here let me give a hand." Cree said as the Mobian and his duplicate back up for another strike.
She grabbed the duplicate's shell and this time when they ran at the door, Cree used her speed Semblance to speed up their charge and increase the kinetic force of their strike. They slammed into the door, knocking it down as Aion looked behind in surprise, having removed the Energon crystals from the engine core.
"Hold it!" Heero pulled out his pistol and aimed it at the intruder, followed by his crew. "Drop those crystals now!"
"No! This wasn't supposed to happen! You weren't supposed to see me!" Aion yelled as he clicked away at his time watch once more and it created a white portal behind him, quickly turning around jumping into it.
The white mist solidified into Rolf and Aisling and they grabbed onto the cane as Aion jumped.
"Wait!" Leo yelled as Cree grabbed him and Heero before following the three into the time portal as it closed behind them.
As the team of four was flying through the portal, Rolf eventually caught up with the time jumper as she grabbed the Shepard's Cane and tried to pull it away from Aion.
"Hey! What the-!?" Aion yelled as he and Rolf struggled.
"Return the Cane of the Shepard, thief!" Rolf shouted, pulling the cane away.
"What are you doing!? You can't move this much while were in the time portal! We might end up fused together!" Aion yelled but Rolf didn't pay any attention and still struggled.
As the two were struggling, Rolf hit Aion's watch and it started to crackle with electricity and malfunction.
"What- What have you done!? You DAMAGED MY TIME DEVICE!" The teen yelled but before Rolf or anybody else could've asked him what he meant, the entire group, Aion included fell through a bright portal.

"Hm?"
It was almost time.
The Invisible Hand had been assembled.
The Hydra had been created and was ready.
So what was stopping them now?
Sammael walked up to one of the windows in his throne room, sensing something was off.
"What is it?" Moloch appeared in the room's dark corner as he usually did.
"A complication…Time altering complications." Sammael answered.
"Again? Another human like that idiot scientist?" Moloch questioned.
"No. Something much worse. I sensed it after Von Richter's foolish quantum tampering but at the time it was small and of no consequence. Now it's growing." Sammael replied, turning away from the window and approached the table, seeing the chessboard. "Someone has made a move."
He held out his hand over the chessboard and conjured a new piece. This piece resembled a muscular man, a beard and a mustache with a golden helmet and brooding expression.
Moloch's eyes widened. "…Him?"
"Von Richter gained the secret of time travel from Los, the Crimson King and then sent that information back in time so he would be motivated to seek out Los and find a way to remove the spell preventing the other Fallen from tearing open portals in time. The damage was minor but it could have been enough to weaken his prison, enough for him to influence someone." Sammael brought a hand to his chin. "The Father of the Titans himself…Cronus."
"Bill Cipher, Klarion, GOLB, Canaletto and now Cronus?" Moloch grunted. "That's five powerful enemies too many. We can't take them all down."
"We don't have to. The chains and the seal that keep Cronus imprisoned can only be weakened by tampering with time. That one hiccup by Von Richter will not have been enough. He'll need more and others." Sammael narrowed his eyes. "We know of two others who are experienced with the power of time."
"Bertha the Barbarian and Pastmaster." Moloch stated.
"Van Kleiss will have to wait for the moment." Sammael closed his eyes as he sat down on his throne. "Cronus takes priority."
Perhaps a trip down memory lane was in order.

In a desert somewhere, a portal opened as Aisling, Leo, Rolf, Heero and Cree were tossed through the portal and fell on the ground.
The group stood back up as Rolf asked. "Is everybody okay?"
As the group got up, Heero looked out into the distance as she used her hand to block the blazing sun. "Wait... Where are we?"
"Oh gee... Hmm, I don't know admiral, maybe the DESERT?" Cree asked, gesturing around her at the miles of sand.
"No need to be like that Cree, maybe we should-" But before Leo could finish his sentence, the group heard the galloping of several dozen horses.
As they all looked over they saw a group of about several dozen men on horses with blades and there were noticeably three horses with carriages as they came speeding towards the group. Before the group even knew it, the men on horses and carriages surrounded the group as they all looked around.
"Where? Rolf believes WHEN is the correct question..." Rolf said looking around at the men on horseback all around them.
The horsemen looked like they were dressed up in ancient looking armor and clothing, some having tattoos and no shirt, while all of them had swords, maces, hammers, sickles, chains, spears, etc. on them. Not to mention over half of them were Faunus. Several of the horsemen jumped off as they aimed their weapons at the group. As members of the nomads walked up to the group, they stopped as a bald man with no shirt and a tattoo running down his face walked up to them, he started to speak.
"Who are you? And what are you people wearing?" The apparent leader asked as the group stared awkwardly at each other, before Rolf stepped forward.
"I am Rolf, the son of a Shepard. And this is haired girl Aisling." Rolf said, gesturing to Aisling. "Rolf knows not of the others."
"I am Leo." Leo decided to introduce himself.
"Heero Yuy." Heero answered.
"I'm Cree and as for what we're wearing they're called clothes!" Cree said as she pointed her finger in the air.
"Umm... Alright, but we have some questions too. Where are we?" Leo asked.
"The desert, child."
"But no, we mean what nation?" Cree asked with the leader of the nomads giving her the oddest look.
"Nation? There are no nations...Only the kingdoms." The leader answered.
"Kingdoms?" Leo questioned.
"The Kingdom of Pangea and the surrounding but smaller kingdoms." The leader stated.
"Pangea? But that was…" Leo's eyes widened. "The Connected Era."
"Well, you don't look much but after we sell you lot to King Sidorak we will get a hefty pay." The leader said as the surrounding group slowly reached down and grabbed their weapons they were keeping on them.
"Rolf must know, he who has never once taken a shower, what do you mean by 'deliver'?" Rolf asked.
"Either we chain you up and deliver you to King Sidorak in one piece... Or if you choose to fight back, we'll be happy to deliver you in pieces." The nomad leader said as he pulled out his own sword and walked closer to the group.
"Back off Bowser!" Cree yelled as she pulled out her mechanical doubled headed spear out of nowhere as she slashed at the leader and sent him flying back several feet.
Right as Cree knocked the leader away; the rest of the group pulled out their individual weapons as well and prepared for battle as the ancient nomads seemed to gawk at the girl's weapon with amazement.
"What are those!?"
"They seem like they're the weapons of the gods!"
"I've never seen anything like those before!"
"It doesn't matter what kind of weapons they have! Kill them!" Another nomad yelled and the men charged at the group with their primitive steel and wooden weapons in hand.
The group didn't hesitate as they charge into battle with the nomads. Leo used his swords to slash at several of the nomads and knocked them back, as he blocked attacks from several other nomads and he slashed at them several more times before knocking them back, all with a smirk on his face. But suddenly, a man came out of nowhere and pinned Leo to the ground with his giant axe as the two struggled in battle. But just as it seemed as if Leo was losing, Leo quickly kicked the man off as he stood back up.
As the axe wielding nomad came running back at Leo, the blade of the man's axe was blown off.
BANG!
The man looked in the direction the shot had come from, seeing Heero holding his pistol which was smoking. Meanwhile Aisling and Rolf were back to back as the nomads surrounded them. Aisling waved her hand and a larger hammer appeared in Rolf's hands. The Son of a Shepard grinned as he began swinging the larger hammer at incoming thugs.
"In the name of Rolf's ancestors! Be gone foul villains of possibly the past!" Rolf yelled as he hammered three nomads sending them flying back.
"You fools haven't yet faced me..." A voice said as Rolf, Aisling, and the nomads that were fighting them stopped as they all looked over to see a huge man standing there, bald and buff and everything.
He smirked as he marched over to them silently with his massive mace in hand. Without even saying another word, he raised his fingers as his eyes started to glow and his semblance had been activated. Soon, all the rocks beneath him soon crawl up him and surround him in a very thick lair of rock armor as he seemingly became three feet taller.
Rolf and Aisling glanced at each before smiling and Rolf happily walked forward and looked up at her new opponent who was covered in a very thick rocky armor. "Alright, Rolf happily accepts your surrender..."
The other few nomads and the rock man laughed as Rolf readied his hammer and right in the middle of their laughing Rolf smashed the man causing his rock armor to shatter as he went flying back several feet. The other nomads looked over at Rolf with shock and surprise as the Son of a Shepard smirked at all of them, as Aisling stood by his side.
"Who's next?" Aisling asked, waving her hand and summoning her magic.
With Cree, she was dashing all around her opponents as she used her spear to smack her opponents back and cause them to fly while quickly transforming her spear into its sniper mode took out several more of her opponents. All the while, the nomad leader was looking at this with amazement and fear in his eyes.
"This is impossible. The way they fight…It's like the warriors of the Great Kingdom!" The leader muttered.
He charged at Cree with his blade in hand and battled her one on one. She was definitely much younger than the warriors the nomad leader was thinking about, and much less experienced as the nomad leader actually managed to keep up with Cree as he managed to get in a few hits on her. However the girl was just too strong willed and skilled as she knocked the nomad leader back into one of the nomad tribes carriages, which growled.
The nomad leader picked himself up and looked back at the battle, only seeing the four teenagers taking her men apart like they were nothing. The nomad leader got furious as he picked his blade back up and ran over to the carriages and slashed the locks off them, opening up all three of the carriages only to reveal a dark beast coming out of each of them.
As the whole group was fighting, they all stopped as they heard several growls, they stopped and looked over as Leo, Cree, Leo, and Rolf all saw two Boarbatusks standing there with a vicious younger and smaller Deathstalker standing there. The group of four stopped fighting the nomads as the Grimm charged at the four young heroes. Pulling out their weapons in front of them, Leo, Cree and Rolf collided with the Grimm, but they seemed to have underestimated the Grimm as the Boarbatusks managed to knock Rolf and Leo back while the Deathstalker grabbed Cree's incoming spear with its pinchers and tossed her around before throwing her away.
These Grimm were defiantly much more experienced with battle and dealing with humans then most others. The heroes tried to adapt to this obstacle the best type could by trying combo attacks, and trying different combat styles and patterns of fighting, but it seemed these Grimm were somehow familiar with all these tricks and managed to toss the heroes aside.
"Is it me? Or are we getting our butts handed to us a lot more than usual?" Leo asked as he stood back up.
"That's because these Grimm have fought many warriors and nomads over the years! Even though it's unbelievably hard to tame them, you can capture then and make them stronger by fighting them daily! You can't defeat these Grimm!" The nomad leader yelled, smirking as the three creatures of Grimm managed so smack the four back once more as the three Grimm stand over the young Hunters.
"Hehehe... I guess we'll just take whatever's left of you to King Sidorak instead! Hahaha!" The nomad leader laughed evilly as the five teens seemed like they would be disemboweled right there on the spot... The Deathstalker raised its tail to lie down the finishing blow but... It just wouldn't move.
As a few seconds passed, the Deathstalkers stinger fell off from its tail, hitting the ground and everyone looked at it shocked. The Deathstalker took a few steps back, only for a lighting fast blue streak to dash by as the Deathstalker stood there motionless for another second until it literally fell into pieces.
"What the heck was that!?" Cree yelled in shock and surprise.
"Not what... Who..." Leo with equal amazement as the two Boarbatusks took several steps away as they looked around in fear before the streak came back and sliced one Boarbatusk in two as it lunged for the other one knocking it back as it was helpless on its back, with a staff in its belly as it was still struggling with its pained yells.
That's when everyone finally got a look at the dark standing still. It was a man. A man dressed in a blue cloak over ancient clothing with muscular arms and legs. He stood back up from her crouching position and walked over to the squealing Boarbatusk, grabbing staff, and ripping it out of the Boarbatusk, only for the beast to die and dissolve into black smoke.
It only took a look of this mysterious man to scare off the nomad leader as he jumped back on one of his horses and signaled the rest of his fellow nomads to do the same as they jumped on their horses and rode away.
Leo, Rolf, Aisling, Cree and Heero looked on with amazement as the man in front of them watched the nomads ride away.
"Woah..." Was all the five could say in unison as they slowly walked up to him.
"Umm... Hey there, thanks for saving our a-" But before Cree could've finished her sentence, the man quickly turned around to all five.
"Who... Are... You...?" The man asked in a calm but steel tone of voice.
"We do not mean you any harm oh-great-man-who-saved-us-yet-is-terrifying-at-the-same-time." Rolf said, now scared of the man.
"Umm... I'm not entirely sure, but what I've seen from science fiction movies... I think we were sent back in time... I mean with the old weapons, the deserts, the old looking clothing..." Cree whispered to the three turning to the man.
"Have I ever mentioned I hate time travel?" Aisling muttered.
"What? You've done this before?" Rolf asked her.
"Not personally but I know it's a pain." Aisling answered.
"How do we know for SURE this is the past?" Heero asked.
"Rolf has an idea!" Said Rolf as he turned to the tall man. "Excuse me, do you know what year is this?"
"4444." Replied the woman.
"BCE or CE?" Cree asked.
"What are those?"
"We're in the freaking past..." Cree groaned.
"Umm... Now that we said are names, what's yours?" Aisling asked as she looked up at the tall man.
"I am known as…Oz." The man answered. "Ozric."
Cree's eyes widened at the mention of that name and she remembered where she had heard it before. 'Ozric…King Ozric…'
The man standing before them…
Was the very man who was present during the birth of Sammael!
"Whoever you are... There is no time to waste. We better leave before it gets dark and more monsters and bandits start to appear. Follow me and I will lead you to the rest of my clan." The man named Ozric as he just turned around and started walking away.
The teens just stood there for a second looking at one another unsure.
"If you don't want to become as Deathstalker's meal, follow me." Ozric yelled back and the four teens followed along.

The nomads were still riding their horses as they got closer and closer to a large building in the distance that looked like a massive coliseum. As the group made it up to the side where a large door was standing in front of them, as the top showed a large golden ram's head with ruby eyes. The leader of the nomads got off his horse as he walked up to the huge double doors. And right before he had the chance to knock, there were several dozen red lights pointing all over him as he jumped back out of fear.
Looking back up he saw that there were large metal machines that were sticking out of the walls and pointing red lights at him, far ahead of the nomad leader's own time, those were highly advanced turret miniguns with small tracking lasers on them. The nomad put his hands up and took a step back as the red eyes of the ram glowed as a nasally yet authoritative and intimidating voice spoke through it, making the leader step back.
"What do you want? Do you have anything to offer your king?"
"No King Sidorak, we just wanted to inform you we ran into some mysterious strangers in the middle of the desert. They had amazing tools and weapons that we have never seen before! A lot like all that new fantastic technology you somehow acquired." The nomad leader answered.
"Really now? Even if they do have the same tools and weapons as me... They are still no troublesome. Now leave at once or be terminated." The voice ordered as the guns in the wall got ready to cut up all the nomads like Swiss cheese.
The nomad leader stepped back out of fear as he held his hands up and yelled. "Wait! Wait! Wait! We were also attacked by Ozric!"
A moment of silence passed by, before all the guns slip back into the wall and the huge double doors open up.
"Let's speak..." Said the voice of Sidorak.
