Opening File: Team Chimera

Team Chimera was a team composed totally of Faunus in the old days when the Satyra was just beginning to grow. Back then Satyra seemed to wish only for equal rights in countries that mistreated Faunus and Mobians and a team of elite members were formed, becoming heroes to the organization and to Faunus and Mobians everywhere. Their symbol was a blue Chimera and the leader of the Team was Pardus Varietates.

The other members were Ajax Tublat, a male gorilla Faunus who was known for his incredible strength.

Sol Salamandra, a male salamander Faunus who had the semblance of controlling electrical devices.

Beaton Gurita, a male octopus Faunus who is a skilled swordsman who uses both his octopus arms on his back and the human arms he has to fight with.

Dwayne Procyon, a smooth-talking male raccoon Faunus who had the semblance to pass through any matter and object he can walk into.

And finally, the newbie, Bagheera , a Mobian who had already proved himself to Lieutenant Paz to become a member of "Team Chimera" as the Black Tiger.

After some months later, 'Team Chimera' became the most skilled and strongest team in the Satyra. And one night, Pardus was finally arguing with Paz that peace could not stop the humans from hurting and killing more Faunus and Mobians, and told him to change his plans of helping their kind, by destroying the human race, once for all. But when Paz refused, Pardus brutally killed Paz for his weak methods and then told all of the members and top officers of Satyra, that lieutenant Paz Iberian was killed by human assassins and has now made himself to become the next lieutenant of the Satyra and has made a promise to free the world from the humans, so that the Faunus and Mobians could finally be in a world of freedom. And after 5 years have passed, Pardus was now the brutal high leader of the Satyra branch in Cape Suzette, and had now the other members of 'Team Chimera' as his top officers (even though Bagheera was a top officer at the Satyra, he started to hate Pardus for what he have done to the once peaceful group).

One day, when Bagheera followed Pardus and the other members of 'Team Chimera' to attack a small human village, he could only watch as Pardus and the others kills the few Huntsmen in the village and had now interrogated the villagers at gunpoint. As Pardus was about to kill all of the human villagers, Bagheera intervened, stopping Pardus from killing them and made all of the villagers to escape, which made Pardus very furious. At the time, Bagheera had adopted a human boy whose parents had been killed by the attack and left him with a clan of wolf Faunus to protect and help raise him. After they all returned to the Satyra base, Pardus was sitting in his throne and started to yelling at Bagheera very furious why he defended those parasites that are causing the Faunus so much pain, with the other members of 'Team Chimera' watched.

Bagheera in fury, yelled back at Pardus for have ruined the ways of what Satyra used to be, and it's supposed to be a symbol of peace, not a symbol of murderers. Bagheera also called him a psychopathic animal and challenging Pardus in a fight that if he wins, he becomes the new Lieutenant. And Before Pardus could say anything, Dwayne Procyon of 'Team Chimera' joined Bagheera's side, claiming that Bagheera was right, when they killed the humans that could have been innocent people, some nights he had regretted to himself for what he had done. And to his final remark against Pardus, Dwayne said that Bagheera would be a much better leader then he would ever be.

In deep rage, Pardus was angry now that Bagheera turned against him and now that also another member of his team betrayed him. As Pardus was had accepted Bagheera's challenge, both of them later, was now in the battle ring where the Satyra has. And after four long hours, they had an epic battle until Pardus was about to kill Bagheera, but Bagheera quickly countered by using his semblance to finally beat Pardus. As every Satyra member cheered on the new lieutenant of the Satyra, with Dwayne holding up Bagheera's right arm in victory.

Rather than accept defeat Pardus turned and fled, choosing to turn on Satyra and take it over by killing its true leader: His Eminence. However Satyra's leader had known of what Pardus had been planning to do and set up the dissension in Team Chimera so that Pardus would lose his credibility with the organization. Now that Pardus was on the run and having been disgraced by his former teammates it seemed he would no longer be a threat.

Only His Eminence knew differently.

Knowing that Pardus would never admit defeat the leader of Satyra purposely leaked information that Shere Khan was providing weapons and intel to the organization, causing Shere Khan himself to come under scrutiny which the tiger Mobian did not appreciate and was only placated by being given a chance to take credit in assisting the capture of a dangerous criminal. Pardus followed the leak and intended to kill Shere Khan but the trap was set and Pardus found himself cornered by Bagheera and his brother, White Tiger. The fight last long and Pardus fought with all his might but in the end he was defeated and captured. For his part in the plan Shere Khan spun the story that he himself had intentionally had made himself out to be Satyra's true leader, tricking Pardus into coming after him and cooperated with the authorities to help capture him.

And later in the night, when Pardus was still unconscious, Bagheera, White Tiger and Dwayne had left Pardus right in front of the La Brea correctional facility, a quite known prison where the most dangerous criminals are placed in. As Bagheera, White Tiger and Dwayne left, Pardus was locked in his cell and made a promise to himself that when he got out of this cell, he would kill Bagheera, along with the ones he loves and are close with, if it's the last thing he will ever do. Bagheera would be the new lieutenant of the Satyra for a time before disbanding the branch in Cape Suzette after coming to see how dark the organization truly was, with Dwayne as his greatest top officer before the disbanding, while the other members of 'Team Chimera' (Ajax, Sol and Beaton) had left the Satyra and went their separate ways, seeking to hide from their past history with the Satyra and 'Team Chimera'.

"What can be the biggest thing that divides groups, states, provinces, countries, nations? Population, resources, technology? No. It's ideology." TOM said as the file closed. "Everyone has their own opinions for what the world should be like and not all are capable of coming to an agreement. Some can respect the beliefs of others even when not agreeing but others can see those beliefs as an affront and an insult to their own. This is how wars can start, each side believing they are the ones in the right and no matter how great or little they care, these clashes can spark a great hate and we know how all goes."

TOM tapped a switch and brought up a recording of a certain wise being from another universe. "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering."

"Remember that next time someone tries to tick you off. Decide then and there if it warrants a response."

A low humming tune was heard through a garden in a room that resided at the top of a very tall building when elevator door opened. He barely paid any attention as he trimmed his favorite plant.

"Mr. Khan?"

"Yes?" He spoke slowly and calmly, not bothering to turn around.

"I apologize for dropping in unannounced but we've received troubling news that we believed you should know." The person spoke.

"And what is so important that you come to speak with me directly?" Shere Khan spoke as he stood up straight and put the clippers down.

"A warning has been sent out from Le Brea. Pardus Varietates has broken out."

Shere Khan walked over to his desk and sat down. "Pardus Varietates, you say?"

"Yes, sir. It was confirmed. Three guards were confirmed dead after an explosion went off in Pardus' cell. They initially thought he was dead but there was no body."

"And is he coming here?" Shere Khan brought both hands together.

"It's unknown at this time, Mr. Khan. He was last sighted on a boat leaving the prison but all attempts to track him down have failed."

"Hmmm…Now who would be foolish enough to release an animal like Pardus back on the world?" Shere Khan mused.

"Sir?"

"He tried to overthrow Satyra's leadership and fell to the Tiger Brothers. He can either be coming to exact vengeance on you or…" Khan left the final choice in the air.

"White Tiger of the Justice Friends." The messenger finished.

"Yes." Khan confirmed. "And wherever Pardus will go a trail of blood will be left behind in his wake."

"And what do you intend to do about it?"

"Nothing yet. All the same I want all the files on those involved in Pardus' original capture." Khan answered. "I want security tripled for all my operations as well and if Pardus is sighted…"

"We can handle him."

"No, you can't. Not alone anyway." Khan shook his head. "Only one team was able to bring down Pardus before. It will take that same team again."

"You mean…"

"Yes, Bagheera. Team Chimera." Khan answered. "That is why I took the liberty of alerting Mr. Procyon. Hopefully he can track them all down."

"Before something happens."

There was a carnival and of course there was also everything one would expect from a carnival. There were rides, roller coasters, cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs, stands to win prizes, and much more. Throughout the many stands to win prizes, one stood out with a salamander Faunus sitting in the booth in front of a light bulb turning on and off with the title above it reading 'Turn off the light? Win a prize.' The man sitting there was around his mid-thirties with a receding hairline, the Faunus trait of salamander skin running down his back and the back of his arms, and was wearing a stripped jacket with an orange button up shirt underneath.

As the man sat there, a young Faunus couple, the man having the elephant trait of tusks while the woman had bear ears walked along, the woman stopping and ran over to the salamander man with a smile as she pointed to him and asked. "Hey, what's this?"

"Simple miss, find a way to turn off the light and you win a prize." Said the man. "Three tries for a Techno."

The woman than turned over to her tusk boyfriend with a smile. "Please? I wanna prize!"

The man took out some Technos and gave it to the man behind the booth as the girl looked at the light bulb. She then pressed the switch on the device the light bulb was attached to, but the light didn't turn off to the woman's confusion.

"Wait, that's obvious." Said the woman as she unplugged the cable from the box, but to no effect. The woman looked at him again in confusion as the salamander Faunus held up two fingers.

"That's two." The tusk Faunus smiled and walked over as he unscrewed the light bulb, expecting it to obviously go out.

But to his surprise and shock, the lightbulb remained lit as he held it in his hand. Only another second passed before the lightbulb became too hot for him as he dropped it, shattering it into a hundred pieces.

"... That's a dumb trick." Growled the boyfriend.

"... Ever heard of a Semblance, man? Well, that's mine." Said the salamander man as the couple stared at him for another minute, before the boyfriend rolled his eyes and walked away, holding his girlfriend's hand.

"Let's get out of here, weirdo." Said the man pulling his girlfriend away the salamander man waved goodbye to them.

"Thank you, come again."

Later in the man's trailer that was right on the edge of the carnival, the man opened up his refrigerator as he pulled out a can of soda, while in the other hand was a plate with a sandwich and some chips on it. He then closed the fridge and walked over to his couch where he put his feet up, put his plate down, and started drinking his soda. After taking a sip, he smiled as he flicked his finger and caused the dark room to illuminate back up with Christmas lights, a line of lightbulbs, and a toy train that starts moving, toy robots lighting up and moving around, along with many other electric powered gizmos to move around and light up. The man smiled as he put his soda down and picked up one half of his sandwich, but before he could've eaten it, there was a knocking at his door.

Knock, Knock, Knock

The man looked up with an annoyed look. "Hey, the shows over!"

But as the man was about to bite into his sandwich, the knocks just grew louder.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

"I said, it's over!" The man walked over to his door and looked up, only for his expression from annoyance to fear as he saw a tall man with long dirty blond hair standing there smiling down at him.

"The show will never end for us, Sol." Said Pardus as all the battery powered toys shut off due to Sol's instant fear.

"Pardus..."

"Well, aren't you gonna invite me in?" Asked Pardus smiling as Sol nodded his head fearfully as he stepped back, letting Pardus in.

Pardus immediately noticed the lights above their heads and all the gizmos around. He looked over at a tambourine monkey and flicked at two lightbulbs playfully with his sharp nail.

"... You know, when I heard you got out, I wasn't really planning to join Bagheera to stop you. And, honestly when him and Dwayne had the idea to take you to La Brea, I tried to stop them. Honest. Look, Pardus, the past is the past, and we've all moved on." Said Sol backing off as Pardus looked up at one of the bulbs above him and unscrewed it and held it in his hand.

Sol's Semblance activated as the lightbulb began to glow bright with light. Pardus just smiled as he held the glowing bulb in front of him with no sign of pain, as his nails grew longer.

"Well... I thought Beaton, would come knocking at my door. No offense to the guy but... He seemed like the most likely out of all of us who would rat us out." Said Sol nervously as the lightbulb shut off completely.

Pardus looked at the lifeless bulb as he laid it down on a shelf nearby.

"Yeah... Well, Beaton won't come ever again..." Said Pardus as he walked closer to Sol, making Sol step back and be cornered as he sat in his chair.

"You don't scare me, Pardus." Said Sol looking up at Pardus, trying his very best to show no fear. "Not afraid of death..."

To illustrate his point he lifted up his open can of soda and drank the last of it, before putting it down.

Pardus gave his old teammate a confused look, as he spoke. "How do you know for sure...You never tried it before."

Only a second passed before Pardus lunged at Sol with a growl followed by a bloodcurdling scream that caused a massive blackout throughout the carnival

"So Major Glory is off to London? I thought we were all ready."

For Lowemon and Kazemon as well as Artemis and Connor, the chance to return home was finally in reach. Sebben has assembled several teams to be with them when they storm Van Kleiss' fortress and confiscate the portal machine.

"We are but not all dimensionally displaced friends are here." White Tiger answered, lounging in the meeting room with the new 'recruits'. "Word has it that your Agunimon is attending some party in London and so is the Grimm Slayer who is also a Digimon. Major Glory has gone there with his apprentice, to help teach her what to expect as well as recruit those two and the Dragon of Denver for help."

"This sounds like it's going to be a big operation." Artemis commented, adjusting her bow/staff. "Sure it's not getting too big?"

"The plan is relatively simple. Two teams will go ahead and act as scouts and diversion while SAM-R-I and his partner infiltrates the fortress. Now, assuming the scout teams are able to get inside or are captured they will try and keep Van Kleiss' sight on them for as long as possible giving our infiltrators time to get in and rescue anyone who was taken like you guys." White Tiger gestured to Artemis and Connor. "After all we can't just destroy the fortress if Van Kleiss has hostages."

"So this hostages first, then the machine and then blow up the fortress." Connor surmised.

"Exactly." White Tiger nodded.

"So who are the teams are going to be the scouts?" Artemis asked.

"Team BATL and Team SEKR volunteered for that." White Tiger answered. "Raven's volunteered to cover them in case things get bad. Once inside we neutralize all threats, confiscate the machine and then use it to send you all back to your worlds before we destroy it."

"Good plan but what happens when the plan falls apart? We don't really have a lot of luck where the plan works out." Superboy couldn't help but cut in.

"Then we try and take the blue prints to the machine, build our own and hopefully it works without causing damage to the space time continuum." White Tiger shrugged. "Hopefully the Dragon of Denver will be open to helping us."

"He's not a team player?" Artemis asked.

"Oh he is, just not when it comes to most of us. He seems to have a…major dislike for Major Glory so it's hard to say if he will be open to working with us." White Tiger answered.

"You're saying he would turn his back on helping us because he doesn't like Major Glory?" Kazemon questioned.

"I wouldn't say he would turn his back but it's hard to say. He's worked with others, he worked Tiki-Torch but it's been documented he has a rather great dislike for the Major Glory even though the two haven't even met. I know there has been…tension between him and a few others but never to the point of endangering the others." White Tiger explained. "Though I suppose it's not much of a difference. We all have our critics so maybe the Dragon of Denver, Dracon has his own reasons for disliking the major even though Glory has had nothing but nice things to say about him."

"I've seen it a few times before." Artemis remarked, knowing that some members of the Justice League, specifically Superman and Batman didn't always see eye to eye. "Disapproving of one's methods because they are both completely different. People just have problems with other people."

"Hopefully their eventual meeting in London will help clear the air. Glory believes we'll need all the help we can get for what to expect with Van Kleiss and there will be no time to fight with each other." White Tiger stated. "Dracon thinks and acts like a soldier ready to fight against anyone he perceives as an enemy, Major Glory thinks and acts like a hero in looking for ways to inspire the best in everyone. Dracon avoids the public eye while Major Glory lives in it, acting as a symbol of hope to the people. Both are two completely different individuals but at their core they both want the same thing, a better and more peaceful world. If they can find a way to co-exist in that one simple desire they can become great allies."

Artemis and Connor knew what White Tiger was saying as they had experienced how hard it can be for some heroes to work together. Artemis remembered how Kid Flash distrusted her when she first joined the team and Connor remembered how hard it was to open up to others because of his origins. The same could be said Lowemon and Kazemon as they had seen it before.

"It's important they understand each other's differences. Rumor has it Dracon was once human but his body was broken and had his mind transferred into the metal body we know today as the Dragon of Denver. He may have done a lot since then but I wouldn't be surprised if there was still some trauma left from the incident. A body broken and then placed into a body that's virtually unbreakable. On the other hand Major Glory is the latest in a long line of heroes that have struggled to be good while keeping their humanity." White Tiger continued. "That power is great but it's a burden. Before it was the major's uncle who sought to do everything on his own and before that it was Captain Righteous, a hero who fought in World War II but then turned his back on his only partner because he thought he was stealing all the glory."

"Seriously?" Connor and Artemis both asked, not liking what they heard.

"Yep." White Tiger nodded. "Glory's tried to work on being better than both in that regard. He doesn't turn his back on his allies and treats his team as family, trying to encourage them to be the best they can be, unlike Righteous. And unlike his uncle who believe he could handle it alone, the major tries to be a team player but his powers put him above most others heroes and hunters, only rivaled by people in the Justice Friends that it can be very hard to try and act on the same level as everyone."

"Is that why he tries so hard to encourage us?" Lowemon asked, gesturing to himself and Kazemon. "So we can be as good as him?"

"No, he doesn't want you or even Dee-Dee to be as good as him. He tries to encourage the best in everyone in the hopes they can be better than him and even become the kind of people who can keep him grounded."

Xxx

"And help him deal with his own flaws."

Major Glory had no idea what to think of this as he looked at the puddle of blood.

Blood belonging to Agunimon because he had been too late to help.

Too late because he had been stopped…

By the very person he had come to for help.

In his mind flashed the image of the Dragon of Denver, standing in his way and looking like he was about to attack him, fighting him without concern for the Warrior of Fire and without care that they should be working together against evil…

'You couldn't save him, Major.'

Major Glory's eyes widened as he remembered those words…and the voice that spoke them.

Xxx

Sammael grinned as he looked into the Seer, showing Major Glory's despair. "You couldn't save them then…You can't save them now."

Xxx

"His weakness is that he cares too much for his teammates and friends and he's scared of losing any of them in battle because he wasn't strong enough or fast enough. It's been that way since his uncle…" White Tiger said, hearing a beeping sound, meaning someone was at the door. "The point is…he doesn't' want you to be as good as him, he wants you guys to be better than him. Now we got someone coming on the Warp Portal, better see who that is."

Xxx

That's right, the Warp Portals.

It was a method of teleportation similar to the Zetas used back in Artemis and Connor's universe. It was usually restricted to use by Hunters since the energy it used was staggering and thus couldn't be allowed for public use unless under dire circumstances.

As White Tiger entered the room, followed by the two Legendary Warriors and Young Justice heroes the warp portal activated. There was a flash of light and when it faded on the platform stood a male raccoon Faunus standing there with a smile. He was shirtless with a silver chest plate covering his torso area with the blue logo of the Satyra, a sleeveless blue and white jacket with a white and blue Satyra logo on the back area, black pants, blue and white sneaker shoes, silver advanced knuckle dusters attached to both of his hands, silver armor located on his shoulders and a beige cowboy hat on his head with a raccoon tail wrapped around it.

White Tiger stared at him in shock for a moment and he then rubbed his eyes.

"Wait... DWAYNE!? Is that really you?!" Asked White Tiger.

"No. It's the tooth fairy- OF COURSE IT'S ME YA DAMN FOOL!" Said Dwayne with a laugh as he and White Tiger hugged each other and patted each other on the back.

As the two pulled away, White Tiger had a huge smile on his face which was hidden under his mask, seeing his old friend again. "Dwayne, what brings you around here!? It's been years!"

But before Dwayne could answer, Artemis decided to speak up. "Uh…Hi? In need of introductions."

"What's with all the commotion?" White Tiger and Dwayne looked over to see the four young heroes standing there.

"Oh! Right! This is Dwayne! My old friend!" Said White Tiger introducing his old friend as Dwayne walked over to the four.

"A pleasure to meet you all, the names Dwayne Procyon." Said Dwayne as his hand shook the hands of the four heroes.

"Nice to meet you, sir." Said Kazemon as Dwayne smiled down at her, noticing her outfit.

"Well... I can see that Huntresses are trying look bolder these days." Dwayne said as Kazemon blushed slightly. "Still I am not one to judge."

"Thank you, sir."

"And who are all of you?" Asked Dwayne.

"These are temporary recruits we've invited to join the Justice Friends." White Tiger stated, giving the 'official' story. "I assure you they are quite skilled."

"Really? That's good to know."

"Thank you. My name is Lowemon and this is Kazemon." Lowemon gestured to himself and Kazemon.

"Yeah, and I'm Artemis." Artemis was next.

"And I am Connor." Connor said as he shook Dwayne's hand and applied a little too much force and shook it furiously before Dwayne pulled his hand away and looked at his red pulsating hand.

"Umm... Nice to meet you too. Quite a grip on you." Said Dwayne.

"Yes, umm... I drink a lot of protein shakes." Connor cleared this throat as Dwayne nodded before White Tiger stepped back in.

"Dwayne... I know you didn't come here for no reason. With the all recent activities, the Grimm attacks... Why did you come here?" Asked White Tiger in a serious tone as Dwayne's smile disappeared and became serious.

"Well... I'm guessing you don't already know about our old friend, Pardus escaping from prison?"

"WHAT?!" White Tiger shouted in complete shock, surprising everyone.

"Yeah, heard about it myself this morning." Dwayne nodded in a serious tone.

"How did he break out?!" White Tiger growled.

"All we know is that there was an explosion in his cell, everyone thought he was dead but no body was found." Dwayne answered. "Word finally reached down in Cape Suzette. This happened a few days ago."

"Glob damn it!" White Tiger flexed his claws. "This couldn't have happened at a worse time."

"Um…What's going on?" Connor asked, making the two remember that they were not alone.

"…Better fill them in."
