Last Night
Dipper and Mabel were both sleeping with the latter holding a stuffed unicorn on top of her. She squeezed it and a recording started.
"Buy my 42 accessories!"
Ford Pines was sleeping on the couch but his dream was anything but pleasant.
Xxx
He appeared in a field of wheat with a ruined swingset, universe portal, and the Stanowar around him. Ford looked around as the wheat was flattened around him into the image of Bill Cipher, glowing blue. Ford then heard Bill's maniacal laughter.
"I know that laugh... Show yourself!" He turned around as Bill Cipher materialized from the ground, floating in the air.
"Well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well!" Multiple copies of Bill materialized as he talked, forming a ring around Ford. "Aren't you a sight for sore eye!" All of the Bills mirrored each other's movements. "Stanford Filbrick Pines, my old pal!"
Ford was less than pleased to see the demon. "Bill Cipher. What do you want from me?"
"Oh, quit playing dumb, IQ!" One Bill answered and then another Bill picked up. "You knew I'd be back!"
The Bill that was talking flicked Ford's nose. "You think shutting down that portal could stop what I have planned?"
All the Bills merged into one giant Bill that floated over Ford. "I've been making deals, chatting with old friends, preparing for the big day! You can't keep that rift safe forever."
Bill snapped his fingers and a copy of the dimensional rift appears in his hand. "You'll slip up, and when you do...!" He threw the rift onto the ground, where it created a massive portal in the shape of an upside-down triangle, burning the wheat field around Ford.
"Get out of here! You have no dominion in our world!" Ford shouted.
"Maybe not right now, but things change, Stanford Pines!" Ford was reflected in Bill's eye as he ascended up into the portal.
"Things..." His tone became monstrous. "Change."
Bill laughed as he flies away, leaving Ford in the middle of the burning wheat field in the ring of fire. Several images flashed by at once, one of Ford's hand, one of Ford's eye, and another of what looks like an extended version of the Zodiac.
Xxx
Ford wook up in his bed, panting.
He adjusts his glasses. "I have to warn them!" He stopped to look at his hand. "He's coming."
Xxx
"Come on, hurry it up!"
After winning the election for mayor in Gravity Falls Stan knew he had a lot of work to do. First off, he started to work on moving all of his personal things to the mayor's mansion in town while the same time selling off any…incriminating items.
The last thing he needed was getting impeached right before he took office.
So what was he doing?
Standing outside the Mystery Shack, talking to a man named Santiago, standing in front of a truck while holding a wooden barrel of pugs.
"Alright, Santiago. You have 24 hours to get these pugs across the U.S. border." Stan instructed.
"Family meeting! Family meeting!" Ford called from inside the house.
Stan quickly gave Santiago the pugs. "No te preocupas! Vamos! Vamos!"
Inside, Mabel and Dipper walked up to Ford in the kitchen, who had several scrolls tucked under his arm and is reading a book.
Ford turned around and notices the two, putting the scrolls on the table. "Ah, children. Come in, come in!"
Mabel took a seat and looked at a bag on the table. "Ooh, mysterious scrolls and potions! Are you going to tell us we're finally of age to go to wizard school?" She quickly started rummaging through the bag. "Is there an owl in this bag?"
Ford snatched the bag away. "No! I can assure you if there's an owl in this bag, he's long dead."
Mabel frowned in disappointment.
"Now, children this may sound obvious but do either of you recognize this symbol?" Ford held up a scroll emblazoned with the image of Bill Cipher and several hieroglyphs.
Dipper and Mabel gasped and Dipper answered. "Bill."
"Yes. You mentioned knowing him when Hoagie and I emerged from the portal." Ford put the scroll down.
"Know him? He's been terrorizing us all summer! I have so many questions and theories..." Dipper trailed off.
"Dipper's been pretty paranoid since Bill turned him into a living sock puppet." Mabel explained.
"The important thing is we defeated him." Dipper continued.
"The fact that you've dealt with Bill is gravely serious." Ford frowned. "More so the fact you encountered his minions."
"So, how do you know Bill?" Dipper asked. "Hoagie told us how he met Bill but you never really talk about how you knew him."
"As I've said before, I've encountered many dark beings in my time, Dipper. What matters is that his powers are growing stronger, and if he pulls off his plans, no one in this family will be safe!" Ford said gravely.
Dipper and Mabel gasped.
"Fortunately, there should be a way to shield us from his mental tricks. A way to Bill-proof the Shack." Ford showed them by drawing on a map of his lab. "All I have to do is place moonstones here, here, and here, sprinkle some mercury, let's see... I always forget the last ingredient!" He took out Journal 1 and flipped through it until he found the final ingredient and groaned. "Ugh, unicorn hair."
"That's not, like, rare, is it?" Dipper asked.
"It's hopeless." Ford looked at Journal 1, adjusting his glasses. "Unicorns reside deep within an enchanted glade, and their hairs can only be obtained by a pure good-hearted person who goes on a magical quest to find them."
Mabel screamed in pure excitement. "Grunkle Ford, can I please go on this quest? I am literally obsessed with unicorns! My first word was 'unicorn,' I once made my own unicorn by taping a traffic cone to a horse's head."
To prove it, she showed a photo that read 'BANNED FROM PETTING ZOO' and had a picture of Mabel near a disgruntled horse with duct tape and a traffic cone on its head. "Are you even looking at the sweater I'm wearing right now?! Not to mention that I'm probably the most pure of heart person in this room."
"That's true, she has a point." Ford admitted.
"I can't argue there." Dipper agreed.
"So can I go on a mission to get that hair? Please, please, please? I'LL GIVE YOU MY BLOOD!" Mabel begged, becoming more desperate and excited.
"Very well. But it won't be easy." Ford gave Mabel Journal 1. "Take this." He then handed Mabel a crossbow. "And this."
"Oooh!" Mabel was star-eyed at this point.
"I haven't been in this dimension for a while. It's okay to give children weapons, right?" Ford asked.
"Pssh, come on, dawg. We got kids turning into Hunters all the time." Mabel said before she fired the crossbow through the window, setting off Stan's car alarm.
"AH! IT'S THE COPS! GUN IT!" Stan shouted and the sound of a truck driving away was heard accompanied by the sound of Pugs yapping.
Mabel pulled out her phone and ran off. "Candy, Grenda, Wendy, clear the afternoon!"
"So, what are the odds she gets that hair?" Dipper asked once his sister was gone.
"Unlikely. I've dealt with unicorns before, and if I had to describe them in one word it would be... frustrating." Ford answered honestly, frowning at the few memories he had of dealing with them.
"So, what are we gonna do about Bill?" Dipper asked.
"Follow me."

Wendy held up her axe, looking at the reflection and for a split second she saw Tambry. "A lot of things happened since you were last here, Uncle. It's a very long story."
And with that, Wendy began explaining everything that had happened since the summer began, right up to when Tambry disappeared.
"So yeah, Tambry wandered off to look for Nyx and we're not even sure if she is still the same Nyx we remember." Wendy finished her story.
Rufus, after hearing the entire story had only one thing to say. "Yikes."
"Yikes?" Wendy shook her head. "That's all you can say?"
"Well, I am not sure what else to say." Rufus shrugged. "I can't believe all this happened and I wasn't there for it. Granted I was having my own fun in the last Wacky Race."
"Uncle Rufus, this is serious." Wendy sighed. "My best friend is missing and I don't know what to do."
"It certainly is perplexing."
Both the Hunter and his apprentice looked up, seeing a familiar owl sitting on a tree branch, watching the two of them.
"Pericles?" Wendy asked.
"Am I supposed to know who that is?" Rufus asked.
"He's Nyx's pet bird." Wendy clarified. "Only I don't remember him talking. But I guess nothing is surprising at this point. So are you working for Cipher too?"
Pericles grinned at them with a smug menacing air. "Oh don't mind me Kinder I'm just paying quick little visit to see how things are progressing here on the home front in Gravity Falls." Pericles then chuckled. "Oh but where are my manners now that certain charades have come to an end, it is long past overdue that I formally introduce myself, is it not. I am many things genius avian, diabolical mastermind, avid mystery solver, and as more recently a proud Familiar of Chaos, and one who's soon to join the ranks of this world's most powerful and elite. I am Professor Pericles it is a utmost pleasure to meet you all~"
Wendy glared at Pericles. "What the heck is your deal in all this anyway!? Are you some kind of mutant mobian or lab experiment who was keeping an eye on Tambry and Nyx for your creep bosses Bill and Klarion?"
Pericles scoffed. "It figures one like you would come to such a ludicrous theory. I am what I have always been, a humble bird with grand ambitions, and a faithful companion and guardian to a mischievous little girl and her hardworking sister. Someone in turn who's also working hard to ensure their safety and futures." Pericles began to glare darkly at Wendy. "Then again I don't expect you of all people to understand when it comes to matters like hard work, ambition, or even caring for someone more than your petty desires."
"What the heck is that supposed to mean?" Wendy questioned.
Pericles' tone was now picking up a bit of scorn. "I suppose I must paint a picture for a slacker like you to get the picture. I have never begrudged Tambry's need for companionship in fact I more than understand it, but her choices in it is another matter. She deserved true friends that she could trust and confide in, to help ease the load and stress she had from dealing with abusive guardians and caring for a younger sibling." Pericles was now speaking with scorn and disgust. "Instead all she got were four fools who even put together can't amount to even a single brain cell."
Pericles then pointed his wing accusingly at Wendy. "And then there was you, the worst of the lot! Wendy Corduroy the one who's called herself Tambry's her oldest and closest friend since the day she dumped into this town by her mother. But in reality you're nothing but a ambitionless parasite who'd either drag Tambry down to her level, or ride on her coat tails to success, without bothering to work or contribute for it."
"That's not true!" Wendy barked back.
"Is it? A girl blind to anyone else's problems unless it directly affects her. Where Tambry was working hard to give her sister and herself a good life while making do with what scraps they got, you were lazyly sitting back profiting on others hard work. Where Tambry has ambition for a better life and future you could care less about anything beyond your frankly petty desires." Pericles scoffed. "It's only recently in this summer that you've done anything worthwhile in your miserable life by getting hunter training from Rufus Roughcut. But that in itself is likely not going to amount to anything but a waste of time for both sides."
"What was that?" Rufus grunted, now glaring at the bird.
Pericles shook his head with a sigh. "Truly Rufus is to be pitied for getting saddled with such a poor student who if past history is any indignation has put only token effort of work into the training if even that, with said training going to waste with you doing nothing with it!"
"Hey!" Wendy shouted. "Don't act like you know me! You haven't been with me twenty four seven and you don't know what I have been thinking!"
"I know more than you think." Pericles replied. "But returning to the topic at hand in your failure as a friend. Perhaps you can tell me how is it that someone that's claims to care for her and Nyx be friends with them for years, but not realize or see the suffering and abuse they were going through under the care of those disgusting guardians!"
"I have known about it's not like I haven't tried to do something. I told Tambry she and her sister could live with us, I even told her to call the cops on those tools but she wouldn't do anything. They were getting paid by their wench mother who she said would make anyone disappear if she wanted!" Wendy argued. "She would never let us try and help here because she was afraid her mom would hurt us."
"Be that as it may you still are unaware just how deep her pain was." Pericles said, arching a brow. "And what was it you said back in the blind eye lair, oh yes!"
All of a sudden a tied up Wendy with freak out look materialized on the ground. "Okay, I'm not actually laid back. I'm stressed, like, 24/7. Have you met my family?"
"Stress oh yes I suppose dealing with muscle heads as a father and three brothers who love you is much more stressful compared to what others have had to deal with." Pericles said with heavy scorn and sarcasm. "After all Tambry only had to deal with a lying selfish mother who abandoned her, abusive neglectful guardians, and taking the brunt of said abuse while acting as both a parent and big sister to Nyx, how could such things compare to your own 'struggles'."
"I never tried to make it a competition! I was trying act normal for her sake so she wouldn't feel like she was being pitied." Wendy shouted.
"You did a poor job anyways. Frankly I wasn't surprised that you didn't you do anything to warn or protect Tambry and Nyx after learning of Cipher little society of stooge. Nor am I surprised even despite learning what's happen to Nyx, your little spat with Tambry and her disappearance, you've done nothing but continue to slack off and pretend that everything is still the same." Pericles said with heavy dark scorn. "I admit to have made my own mistakes involving betrayal when it comes to friendships, that i'm determined not to repeat. But I've learned from them and as such I know enough to conclude that you were never really Tambry's friend were you?"
"Who are you to say that? I went to Tambry as soon as I learned what happened to her sister! I didn't know who was in on that Blind Eye cult mess and I didn't want her dragged into it if she wasn't involved! You just want to get in my head and mess with me! I admit, I messed up but I never meant to hurt her and I sure as hell care for her more than her bitch of a mother does!" Wendy argued. "And I'm not stopping until I find her, save her and help her save her sister! So go ahead, play your little games, throw my mistakes in my face as all you want! But let me tell you something, bird! Anything you think of me doesn't mean jack to me!
Pericles let loose a laugh as he locked his dark gaze into Wendy putting her on edge. "Well done wilder Holzfäller (Wild Lumberjack) while the trust between you and Tambry is currently broken, you unlike those other four Dummköpfe (Fools) might actually be worthy of it if not even more." Pericles chuckled a sinister tone that sends a chill down Rufus and Wendy's. "Yes I can see the look in your eyes after all these years you're finally motivated and taping into your true potential."
Wendy pointed her axe right in the avian's face. "ENOUGH! NO MORE GAMES! You've got answers birdie and it's time you cough them up. Starting off where Tambry and Nyx are, and what those demon creeps are planning."
Pericles hummed while giving arrogant smirk. "Another time little Holzfäller, answers will come in due time. But I will tell you this you are making the right choice to train yourself and grow strong because truly dangerous times are ahead. I told young Mason Pines so now I'll tell this conflict goes far beyond Bill Cipher, Klarion, and Gravity Falls. Other forces just as dangerous if not more so are plotting or already on the move."
Pericles' gaze darkened and seemed to carry more weight. "Just look at the Grimm army heading toward a location known as Nowhere as we speak. Oh yes kinder have this world hides many dark and dangerous secrets. But what isn't a secret is where it's heading war! WAR IS COMING KINDER! So just as I told young Mason prepare yourselves, grow stronger, smarter, and craftier and when the lines in the sand are drawn choose your sides and allegiances wisely."
"Heed my words Kinder because if you don't." Suddenly Pericles seemed to disappear right in front of Wendy and the entire area warped and changed into something that horrifies her down to her soul.
The town of Gravity Falls in ruins and flames as she spotted the bodies of everyone she cares about one by one among the ruins.
"No…" Wendy whispered in horror.
Suddenly Pericles' voice echoed all around her finishing where he left off with an ominous statement "You might find yourself losing everything and everyone you hold dear!"
It was quite now.
Wendy and Rufus were left to stare at the tree branch were Pericles had been sitting, only to vanish when the vision ended.
"…And I thought the Wacky Races were insane." Rufus muttered.
Wendy was about to say something when her cell phone rang which she answered. "…Yeah? Mabel? What? A unicorn?"
Rufus just stared at her.
"…All right. I'm in." Wendy said before ending the call. "Mabel's going to look for unicorns because her uncle thinks it will Bill-proof the Mystery Shack."
Rufus just kept on staring.
…
…
…
"…All right." He then shrugged, just fine with believing what he had heard. "Take a break and get back to this tomorrow?"
"Yep." Wendy nodded, picking up her axe. "Maybe I can talk him into Bill-proofing us and our weapons while we're at it."
"Count me in."

In the depths of Van Kleiss' fortress a certain farmer, his wife and his daughter covered their ears as the crazy music filled every room with no exceptions.
"You trying to kill us?! I already one foot in the grave from hearing this racket!" Eustace shouted.
What they had yet to realize is that the music had a beneficial effect.
It was causing the security system in the fortress to short-circuit to the point that their cell door opened.
"Mom, Dad!" Alexis pointed at the doors.
"Finally!" Eustace said as the family rushed out of the cell. "Now let's get out of here."
