Deep in Gravity Falls forest a clawed hand reached out from a large hole with a voice growling in deep anger and frustration, "Okay I've official had it with this crap!" With statement the owner of the hand pulled herself up revealed to be none other than a dirt and grime covered Lana Kane with a powerful scowl on her face.

"Second time I've had to dig myself out of hole in this miserable town and second I've almost been killed!" She snarled as she heaved herself up, "First at…that rat with wings! Lana said spitting out with perhaps more poison and hate than she's ever felt in her life, "Almost turns me into a meal for freaking dinosaurs of all things!"

SNAP!

Lana grunted as she wondered what the hell is her life as she struggled to hold back and keep the snapping jaws of a ravenous raptor of all things from snapping her head off. She grunted as she gave it's stomach a kick sending it against the cavern wall.

"Alright you bastard you want to make a meal out of me, well let me show you why you guys went extinct!" She said as she jumped onto it with a powerful yowl.

Lana Pulled herself up from the ground while brushing off some of the dirt and grime while still venting, "And now..now I'm almost killed by my own daughter!"

"Go on." Nyx encouraged Tambry to take the knife and stab their mother to death. "Show me how much you love me."

Tambry was trembling now as she stood over Lana with the knife held over her.

The mere memory of what happen caused Lana teeth and claws to flare out, "Just what the h ell is going on and what's happen to my daughters!" She screamed out in utter rage into the air. She then stood there huffing for breath before a noise caught her attention.

FWOOM!

She looked up seeing blasts of what appeared to be blue fire and her eyes narrowed. She doesn't know what's been going on in this Glob forsaken town but she's going to find out one way or the other.

"When the cat's away, the mice will play."

Nyx was grinning as she watched the Hall of Heroes, empty of almost everyone aside from the usual staff left to manage the building in the absence of the Justice Friends.

"With the majority of the Justice Friends along with Sebben dealing with Van Kleiss, we have our window of opportunity to get inside and reach the Omega Vault." Pericles stated, sitting on top of his Lady's shoulder.

"And our prize." Nyx grinned. "Is Jimmy in position?"

"He should be by now and Devimon should be working on the security as we speak." Pericles answered.

"And you are sure the disk piece is in there?"

"Positive. This piece was retrieved by the predecessor team of the Justice Friends and thus everything they had was moved down into the Omega Vault. A piece of the disk would be too valuable and dangerous to hide in off-the-books warehouse." Pericles answered confidently.

The security camera around the Omega Vault inside the Hall of Heroes suddenly shut down as a surge of black electricity shot through them.

A moment later, a circle of dark energy appeared on the floor in front of the vault and from it emerged none other than Jimmy and his Digimon partner: Devimon.

"They still have not adapted their security to keep out a Digimon." Devimon remarked amusedly as the disk of energy underneath them disappeared, allowing the two to stand perfectly on the ground. "An unwise decision."

He held out his hand and it touched the vault door.

"Layers upon layers of encrypted data, reinforced to keep out the stronger of brutes and even magical charms. Impressive, but against one that was born to manipulate data." Devimon grinned. "It withers and crumbles to the Touch of Evil!"

A surge of black energy forced the door open, allowing Jimmy and Devimon to enter the vault.

"I heard that that buffoon Bravo found the Hammer of Thor in here." Jimmy remarked as he and Devmon walked inside.

The interior of the Omega Vault resembled the inside of a large cathedral looking building with smaller vault doors lining the walls while other items were seemingly held on display for the two to see and walk past.

"So where do we find the item that the two requested?" Devimon asked.

Jimmy pulled out a small charm that glowed dark purple but seemed to grow brighter as they walked. "This will help us."

After walking for a moment the charm glowed brightest in front of a single vault door that Jimmy pointed at. "This one."

Devimon reached out and touched the door, grunting as he disabled the security system and the door opened a moment later.

Inside was an object that looked like it was meant to be a piece to a puzzle…

Or something else.

"I believe the witch asked for this." Devimon said as he grasped the piece. "I hope she is satisfied. Is there anything here of value?"

"Just one." Jimmy answered, staring at the label above another vault door.

"Excellent work." Nyx grinned, holding up the disk piece. "One more piece of the puzzle."

"And what puzzle would that be exactly?" Devimon questioned as he frowned at the woman.

"Something that will really shake things up around here." Nyx said, sending the piece through a portal, into a pocket dimension where she liked to keep any important items.

"You asked us not to destroy the Hall of Heroes or steal anything else. I can't imagine someone like you passing up such a chance." Jimmy crossed his arms.

"Why? Because I'm a villain?" Nyx rolled her eyes. "Here's a bit of advice kid: if you want to get big, don't think small."

"Excuse me?" Jimmy glared at the Lady of Chaos.

"Sure, blowing up the Hall of Heroes would be fun…For about two minutes but at the end of the day, it's only a building. Steal everything in the Omega Vault, blow it from the inside, destroy the knowledge they keep in those computer banks of theirs? The Justice Friends can simply rebuild, especially since they are at the moment, the only line of defense against threats that for the moment are bigger and badder than you or me." Nyx explained as she crossed her arms. "Destroying their headquarters, especially a Vault filled with items too dangerous to be destroyed or taken by some kid or a devil struggling to adapt in a new world-"

Devimon and Jimmy were now both glaring at Nyx who continued without a care.

"Would be a very bad idea, even for me." She finished with a smirk.

"You have a very interesting definition of gratitude." Devimon noted snidely.

"Why, yes I do. It's called giving you advice and not leaving you to twist in the wind on your own against all the big players." Nyx summoned a portal behind her. "Go ahead, try and make your mark but remember this: When you put yourself on the board, you better be prepared to gamble it all…even if that means losing it all."

With that she and Pericles disappeared into the portal, leaving behind Jimmy and Devimon to glare at where they had previously stood.

The battle in Van Kleiss' fortress was heating up, as more and more heroes and hunters arrived through the portal, thanks to the efforts of Extor.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

E-Streak roared as its two heads breathed fire down on its surrounding enemies.

"Looks like you need a Hala-Lulu-Hot Foot!" Tiki-Torch shouted as he jumped through the fire, being totally immune to it and delivered a kick that caused the monster to stagger back.

Then Hego, the former leader of the famous Team Go leapt up and delivered blue flaming fist to the right head.

POW!

CRASH!

E-Streak crashed into a wall, knocked out by the sheer force of Hego's punch. The former hero leader then spun around and immediately leapt into the next closest fight, taking down a dozen Rebellion, Tetsu Kirazu and Red Cap thugs instantly.

POW!

"Yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo!"

Hego spun and ducked under a slash from none other than Hidekazu Kobayshi himself, the chainsaw end of his staff managing to catch a few strands of Hego's hair.

"Hego of Team Go." Hidekazu greeted, spinning his Hageshi Fukushu in one hand. "Defeating you in honorable combat will prove my strength."

Hego narrowed his eyes, preparing to fight when a giant green hand appeared between them.

"With respect, Hego. We would prefer to take him on." Two figures landed in front of Hego, standing between him and Hidekazu.

Nick Armory, a Huntsman who is recognized for being a master wielding almost every known weapon as well as being a master blacksmith and inventor. It was a documented fact that Nick was actually raised on an active battle field. He resembled a stereotypical action hero with blond spiky hair, black sunglasses over his eyes and a green bandana keeping his hair from falling over his face while wearing a plain white t-shirt with torn sleeves, thin black bracelets, a cameo green vest and an ammo sash. His cargo pants seemed to be tucked into his knee high leather boots.

His partner, Joff was a fair skinned man with a slim build, bald head, six dots on his forehead and he wore an orange monk robe, a Huntsmen who was originally a student from Jade Academy but transferred to America where he met Nick.

Since then the two have been inseparable as partners, on and off the battle field.

"Yeah, a chance to test my newest weapons against someone like this guy ought to be fun." Nick said, punching the palm of his hand with a grin.

Hidekazu growled as he spun his staff and it changed into its rifle form which he then immediately used to shoot at the two.

BANG!

Joff stepped in front of Nick, making soft but quick movements with his hands as his eyes along with the dots on his head glowed bright green. From one hand, his Aura was projected in the form of a giant glowing hand that blocked the bullets fired by Hidekazu.

"Not bad." Nick reached over his back and pulled out a large bazooka that shifted and formed into a giant mace. "Let me show you mine."

With a battle cry, Nick jumped over Joff and charged at Hidekazu whose weapon shifted back into its staff form as he blocked the powerful strike aimed at his head. Hidekazu growled as he and Nick both grappled.

"Go." Joff said to Hego as his hands glowed bright green. "We have this."

Hego nodded and moved on to the next battle. Hidekazu watched as Hego rushed off to help more heroes and Huntsmen but could not go after him with Nick and Joff in the way. He then shoved Nick back, spinning his weapon in an attempt to slash Nick into pieces. However Joff jumped over Nick's shoulder and delivered a kick that knocked Hidekazu back.

"You're anger and drive to be the strongest blinds you to the threats in front of you." Joff said, going through several motions before settling into a combat stance.

Hidekazu growled but realized they wouldn't let him pursue Hego and simply decided to take them out first.

Meanwhile, Sebben had just taken down the surrounding Red Cap thugs before rushing at Robin Junior who hastily swung his axe at him. Sebben jumped over the slash, somersaulting over Robin's head and landed behind him, kicking his legs out from under him and delivering a powerful kick that sent the son of a crime lord into the wall.

CRASH!

Robin slid down to the ground and seemingly blacked out. Sebben straightened himself up and moved to assist the others when…

"SSSSSSSEBENNNNNNNNNNN!"

The mayor of GrimmFall spun around to see none other than Chuck Hector approaching him. "Hector, it's been a long time."

"Not long enough you cockroach!" Hector snarled as he held up his Furious Stinger. "So you're the one who organized this attack. I should have known. Fine by me because I have been waiting a very long time for this."

"Hector, Van Kleiss is about to cause more harm than I ever could, no matter what you see me as." Sebben pointed to Van Kleiss and his machine. "Help him and you'll end up endangering not just the entire world. Are you prepared to sacrifice your daughters just for revenge?"

Chuck snarled, his eyes flashing with almost what looked like literal lightning. "DO NOT SPEAK OF MY DAUGTHERS! They lost their mother because you were too WEAK to save her and my team!"

"That's not true and you know it, Hector." Sebben shook his head. "I am not the one who is about to exterminate all life."

"Shut up and fight, Sebben!" Chuck shouted as he charged right at Sebben, thrusting his short sword forward.

Sebben held his cane in front of him and dashed at Chuck, their weapons colliding and producing a powerful shockwave that knocked down several nearby fighters.

BOOOOM!

Chuck roared like a monster as he swung his Furious Stinger down but Sebben dodged and started repeatedly jabbing Chuck with amazing speed thanks to his skills and his Semblance. Chuck roared again and tried backhanding Sebben with his large mechanical fist but the Mayor of GrimmFall ducked and preformed a hand stand. He then spun and his foot collided with Chuck's face, making him stagger but he instantly recovered. The two then clashed with their weapons again, sending sparks flying in all direction with each hit.

A clock glyph appeared underneath Sebben and he started moving at high speeds as he attacking, moving so fast it was almost impossible to see him, let alone predict his movements. Chuck grunted, feeling multiple jabs and hits across his body with his Aura flaring, struggling to protect him. He aimed his mechanical arm down and the hand shifted into a large cannon that immediately fired.

BOOM!

Sebben was forced to jump back from the blast but he landed perfectly without any harm. Looking up, he could see a literal storm cloud forming over Chuck who stood in the center with lightning flaring from his eyes. He let out a roar that sounded more monstrous than even before, even more primal than a Grimm!

'He's activating his Semblance!' Sebben narrowed his one eye, feeling nervous even if he didn't show it.

Chuck has started to form himself into small, but powerful hurricane. The wind forces of Chuck's hurricane form was so strong, that despite its size, It sent some of the heroes and villains flying around, while the others was holding random objects, doing their best to not be blown away.

"TIME TO DIE!" Chuck shouted as he shot right at Sebben, holding up his mechanical fist as a whirlwind circled around it.

Meanwhile Team SEKR had their weapons out as they were battling the mastermind himself, Van Kleiss who morphed his gauntlet into energy cannons that fired a golden beam. Raven landed in front of SEKR and conjured a white glowing barrier that protected the group of the blast. Once it was over, Scotty and Keanu crossed their blades with Van Kleiss' gauntlet. Keanu used more of his speed and agility against Van Kleiss as he used a faster technique as he was applying quick stab motions to Van Kleiss as he was mostly dodging Van Kleiss's gauntlet rather than blocking it.

Grunting, Van Kleiss moved at amazing speed and started clobbering Keanu with a blindingly fast series of punches and kicks. Luckily Keanu eventually moved fast enough to block the attacks before jumping back and then shot forward, grasping his sword in both hands. Van Kleiss suddenly created a whip of golden energy that he then lashed at Keanu but to his surprise, Keanu expertly dodged the attack and somersaulted over him, delivering a kick to the back of his head.

'How is he…' Van Kleiss grunted and then scanned Keanu as he landed on the floor. 'He's utilizing some kind of breathing technique in tandem with his Aura to enhance his speed, strength and reflexes. I didn't think such a thing was possible.'

Van Kleiss heard a gun sound and turned to see Rino holding up his suitcase that shifted into a large gatling gun, followed by several more different types of weapons, such as guns, lasers, and missiles and they all immediately started bombarding Van Kleiss.

As Van Kleiss raised his gauntlet again, he felt a presence behind and turned only to see Scotty Blake running towards him with his enchanted claymore in hand. Van Kleiss gave a sigh of annoyance as he pointed his finger at Scotty and a gold bolt of lightning came shooting out of it that collided with Scotty's sword that he used to block but it pushed him back a few inches. Scotty looked back up at Van Kleiss with determination in his eyes as he stood back up straight. Van Kleiss just shook his head in disappointment again as he held his hand out once more and plant-like vines to grow out from the ground where Scotty was standing.

The strong veins wrapped around Scotty and held him off the ground as he struggled. Before Van Kleiss could've blasted Scotty, a concussive blast and several smaller shots riddled his back and the back of his head as he stumbled forward. As Van Kleiss looked over, he saw that it was Rino and Extor who were shooting at him, Rino using his briefcase in its second shotgun mode as Extor used the concussive blast from his visor to blast at Van Kleiss. Van Kleiss simply put his hand up, taking all the attacks in one hand as the two continued to fire away.

Van Kleiss started walking over to the two, but before he attack, a strong force came barreling into him from behind.

"You ain't done with me!" Scotty yelled, holding the mad man down.

Van Kleiss twisted himself back around in Scotty's hold as he smacked Ed sending him several feet back. "You DARE lay your hands on a god?"

Scotty looked back up at his foe holding up his sword once more. "No! Only a monster!"

Scotty charged forward again as his sword started to glow with blue energy. Van Kleiss held up his gauntlet once more as he charged to meet the Scotsman in battle. It didn't take long until the two finally collided as the force of the incoming attacks and opposing energies of the two weapons created a shockwave.

SHING!

BOOM!

But that didn't stop the two from continuing on with their sword fight as Van Kleiss and Ed continued with their hacking and slashing.

SHINK!

SHING!

SHASH!

KLASH!

SHRING!

Scotty got in a few lucky hits as he managed to slash at Van Kleiss several times, leaving several savage cuts throughout his chest as he kicked Van Kleiss causing him to stumble back before falling to one knee. He looked up at Scotty angrily while the Scotsman believed he had the upper hand. Without hesitating Scoty ran forward with his blade up in the air as he was about to bring it down straight on Van Kleiss's head, but as the Scotsman was mere inches away from Van Kleiss and was about to bring his Claymore down, Van Kleiss looked back up at Scotty as his eyes charged up with golden energy. And right before anyone knew it Van Kleiss blasted at Scotty with a golden beam of energy straight from his eyes that caused Scotty to fly back and smash right out of the fortress as the beam continued to propel him back.

KAAABBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWW!

CRASH!

But as Scotty continued to fly through the air, the beam of energy that was propelling him never burnt out as it was continuing to force the Scotsman to fly through the air. That's when the beams deliberately turned a sharp right turn as if they were sentient, as the beam flew Scotty straight towards a line of three mountain tops as the beam was forcing Scotty to smash right through each mountain top.

KRASH!

SMASH!

CRASH!

And right as the beam was continuing to fly Scotty backwards, he was suddenly flown right into a black and metal mass as the beam finally burnt out. However that's when Scotty noticed the shape and feel of the mass. And right before he knew it, the mass turned out to be a giant hand that caught Scotty like a pitchers glove. It was a giant hand through a portal, crushing Scotty as it pulled him through.

On the other side of the portal, it led right back to the portal room where Van Kleiss was pulling his hand back out of a portal as he threw Scotty onto the ground after he pulled him out of the portal.

Scotty grunted and stood up, glaring at Van Kleiss who was laughing. "Something funny, goldy?"

"It amuses me to see you all thought just because you surprised me a few times you thought you had the upper hand." Van Kleiss remarked as he held up his golden gauntlet. "You have no idea just how powerful I truly am, do you?"

"Oh great. Here we go." Scotty muttered, knowing this would be the part where the bad guy brags about his power.

"This power comes from an android that was made through the same technology I have mastered, only this one was taken to step further than I could never have imagined. An android with that nanites mimicked the DNA and biology of anything it came it into contact with, including augmented humans with special powers. I found the schematics and used it to create an exact copy of the android and then I used my portal to scout out dozens of realities where humans who gained special abilities, much like the people of this world, existed. One by one, the drones I sent were directly tied to the android, A.M.A.Z.O. which allowed it to scan their abilities." Van Kleiss chuckled. "And then I absorbed the android into my very being, gaining all of the powers it had amassed. Do you understand now, Scotsman? The power of more than reality flows through my being. And best of all, I can continue evolving even with the android integrated into me."

To prove his point, a golden aura surrounded Van Kleiss and his eyes glared with a golden light.

"I will continue growing; evolving to the point I will become the supreme authority of not just this world but all worlds!" Van Kleiss shouted, his voice becoming distorted as he spoke. "My power will be absolute! What can you hope to accomplish in the face of such overwhelming power, Scotsman?!"

Scotty scoffed as he sheathed his sword. "I hate to admit, you got of a point there, laddie."

Van Kleiss grinned.

"So…" Scotty smirked. "I guess the kid gloves are coming off."

Van Kleiss frowned. "And what is that supposed to mean?"

Scotty took a deep breath and took a ready stance. "You'll see…"

Van Kleiss watched as Scotty's Aura flared around him, amassing in power and initially was about to write off as a meaningless display of power when he noticed something else. Alongside Scotty's spine, spheres of light, ranging in colors from red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple ending at the crown of Scotty's head. His Aura started to rise up as it surrounded him and continued to grow and grow. Outside the fortress, dark clouds began gathering overhead with a strong wind suddenly appearing and even lightning flashing. Meanwhile, everyone inside seemingly paused their fighting and looked over at Scotty as he faced Van Kleiss.

'What in the world?' Shade wondered.

"How can a human produce THIS much power?" ChaosPiedmon muttered, his eyes widening as he paused his fight with the Legendary Warriors.

This power…

It was rivaling that of a Digimon's power!

Vexus turned around, her scanners landing on Scotty and she was shocked at how much power he was seemingly amassing. "This is impossible. A human could never hope channel this much power!"

It was inconceivable.

It was impossible.

"Just what are the humans on this Earth?!" Vexus actually took a step back. "They're supposed to be worthless meat bags, completely and utterly useless to the might of the machine!"

The Legendary Warriors, especially Zephyrmon, Lowemon and Agunimon along with Omnimon turned their gaze over to Scotty, recognizing the power he was projecting.

"That power…" Zephyrmon whispered.

"Just like when he fought me." Agunimon recalled his battle with Scotty Blake when he unleashed this power, but compared to before, this was much stronger. "He must have been holding back against me for some reason. Though if this shaking is any indication, I think I know why…"

Omnimon adjusted himself as he felt the room shake. "I didn't think it would reach this point."

"Who is that guy?" Beetlemon asked his friends.

"Perhaps one of the strongest Huntsmen on the planet." Lowemon answered calmly but felt like things were going to get a whole lot rougher if Scotty was unlocking all seven chakras of Aura at once.

"Wh-What is this?" Grodd felt sweat coming down his forehead even if he would never admit because that would be admitting that a human was the cause. "How is this even possible?"

Parasite stumbled, looking at Scotty. "I got to try and get his powers!"

Just as he tried though, a lightning bolt blasted him into the wall.

"Not on my watch." Valhallen replied with a smile, glancing at Scotty . "Rock on, Scotsman!"

Meanwhile Van Kleiss believed he needed to stop Scotty here and now, stop him before he reached his full power. With that in mind, he held up his gauntlet and fired a beam of golden light right at Scotty who simply smiled. The beam hit and caused an instant explosion that forced Van Kleiss back. Before he could even gloat, he and everyone else realized that Scotty's power was still rising and when the smoke cleared; Scotty was still standing and still 'powering up'.

"Is that all you got?" The Scotsman taunted the stunned mad scientist.

Van Kleiss couldn't even answer as Scotty channeled even more power around him which caused the storm forming around the fortress to become even fiercer. Scotty's Aura then exploded into a pillar of power that shot a hole right through the ceiling and continued up through the next floors, reaching the roof of the fortress.

And it was still growing in strength.

"Wh-What is this?!" Copperhead stuttered as he slithered back. "I expected super powers, but not Super Anime Powers!"

Shade had to hide in the shadows from bright light Scotty's Aura was producing. "Why am I not surprised?"

Major Glory turned and observed the power Scotty was producing. 'The power that comes from unlocking all seven chakras that regulate the flow of Aura in one's body. If one unlocks all seven chakras, they can circumvent the rules of a Semblance only producing one ability and virtually gain every power imaginable with unlimited reserves but one must be careful about holding onto this power for too long. It takes years of practice, discipline; learning how to regulate this power so one's body is not destroyed or forced to ascend. And yet, these beings were able to turn the tide against the Grimm and the Fallen in ancient times, even going up against…him.'

Valhallen relaxed slightly, seeing almost everyone was watching as Scotty powered up. 'Dude, it's amazing the potential a single mortal has. With the right powers and training, they could even rise up to rival even the mightiest of Asgard. They call a dude that can unlock all seven chakras an Ascendant and boy do they live up to that title. They could even give my old man, Odin a hard time.'

SAM-R-I had paused his battle with Shade, looking over at where Scotty and Van Kleiss were. "So it's this level of combat."

Living Bullet was helping Spider-Man against Grodd when he along with everyone else stopped, feeling the great power coming from Scotty. 'Looks like things are heating up and fast. We better hurry and get this over with.'

'What is this?' Spider-Man looked at Scotty with his Spider-Senses screaming at him. 'I've never felt anything remotely like this before. Is this some new power or is it connected to the power of Aura that the people in this world use?'

Tiki-Torch glanced at Scotty's display of power and nodded. 'We're bringing the heat now.'

Phan-Tone and Miss Spell both shared silent looks, knowing how desperate things must be if an Ascendant was about to enter the battlefield.

Genki stared stoically as the Scotsman's power continued to rise. 'When I was younger, I strove to be the strongest Huntress on the planet. I challenged and sparred with the best I could find, only meeting my match when I fought the Guardian but I still continued to train but I never found anyone who could teach me how to unlock my chakras. 'Petty light.' Krunk simply thought, pausing in his own battle.

'Whoa, they are going that far.' Artemis thought, keeping her eye on Brightburn as he and Superboy stopped their fight.

"What is that?" Brightburn muttered, his eyes going wide at the waves of power coming off of Scotty.

"Looks like we've been pushed this far." Superboy muttered.

"Can anyone tell me what that is?" Miss Martian asked, having not been present to see Scotty unleash this power before.

Chuck Hector stared at Scotty's powering form and then at Sebben. "This was your secret weapon all along."

"Not at all." Sebben answered calmly. "In fact, I hoped it wouldn't be pushed to this because of what would happen it was."

"And what's that?"

Sebben stared back with a solemn gaze. "Then we're just about to enter the battle that will determine the fate of not one universe…but all of them."

All around the fortress, everyone paused whatever they were doing, whether they were in battle or not.

No one dared to move a muscle as they could sheer overwhelming power.

Windows shattered.

Computer systems overloaded.

The entire fortress seemed to shake.

Earthquakes shook the mountains.

And somewhere in the depths of the fortress, a certain spirit stirred as he felt the great power. "…Ascendant."

The Red Caps, the Tetzu Kirazu and the Rebellion members were all stunned beyond belief, feeling nothing but complete awe at the sheer power that was emanating from the Scotsman.

None of them knew what to do.

Many of them wanted to retreat.

Others feared what their leaders would do to them if they ran away.

Hidekazu paused his battle with Joff and Nick, glaring at Scotty in fear…and envy. 'Damn them…Hoarding power to themselves and not using it to strike down all the wicked in the world. Only when it affects do they use this power.'

"Whoa, talk about a light show." Nick adjusted his sunglasses.

Joff closed his eyes and held one hand up. "I am honored to be in the presence of one who has transended the limits and I hope one day to follow in his steps."

Hego stared stoically at the rising power of Scotty and nodded.

Everyone in Van Kleiss' fortress were not the only ones to feel the power of an Ascendant.

Nyx's went wide and glowed bright purple as she turned her head, staring off seemingly at the wall of her underground lair.

"Do you feel that, Nyx?" Pericles asked, sounding deadly serious.

"Yeah…An Ascendant has awoken." Nyx answered, just as serious as her familiar. "Coming from the direction of Nowhere."

"The battle with Van Kleiss…Could he truly have pushed the heroes into unleashing a being as powerful as an Ascendant?" Pericles wondered. "Perhaps he is more powerful than we were led to believe. Time is running short, Nyx."

"We still have few more pieces to track down and then we'll be able to even the playing field." Nyx turned away from the wall and back to the map on the table in front of her. "Whoever this Ascendant is, them and Van Kleiss are Sammael's problem."

"Do not take this lightly, Nyx." Pericles cautioned. "An Ascendant can challenge the power of virtually anyone in this world, including a Lord of Chaos."

"Then it's a good thing we're not looking to challenge an Ascendant." Nyx retorted. "Not yet. We track down the rest of the disk pieces and then we make our move."

"Great, they are going full blown super monkey." Bill Cipher groaned. "Just when the action is getting good and it looked like someone was about to die."

"I know right?" Klarion groaned, stroking Teekl's fur. "Well, we're at least going to get some descent explosions."

"Problem is if the good guys win this soon, they might set their sights back on the town before the rift comes back." Bill rubbed his 'chin' before he noticed something. "Hello, what's this?"

The image in front of them showed Scaramouche attaching several wires to his body.

"Now what is this one up to?" Klarion wondered, watching as the cyborg disabled the security nanites Van Kleiss had injected into him. "Hold on, is that-"

"Yep!" Bill laughed. "Looks like old Sammy boy is not taking any chances either!"

"Do you feel that?"

On the dark ship known as the Galleon, Sammael opened his eyes to the presence of Moloch appearing in his cabin, along with the feeling of great power both were sensing.

And they were not the only ones.

All around the ship, the many Grimm that made up the army that had been assembled were roaring and shrieking.

They recognized this feeling of power.

They knew it to be their most powerful and hated enemy: an Ascendant.

The younger ones seemed hesitant but were spurred to continue the march on Nowhere by their Master.

"Yes. It seems I underestimated Van Kleiss. I never thought he'd grow as powerful enough to warrant the intervention of an Ascendant." Sammael answered with an amused face. "Though I wonder how he will respond to such a power since not even his android can copy the powers of a being who has literally turned his soul into a conduit for unlimited power."

"If Scotty is resorting to such measures, he may very well cause the plan to fail. If Van Kleiss is defeated before we arrive the enemy will secure the Gem of Heart and we will have to fight our way to it."

"True but we planned for such a dilemma." Sammael answered calmly. "He should be getting into position as we speak."

"It astounds me how you trust the competence of such a…character." Moloch stated, having taken a moment to describe the agent Sammael had sent to infiltrate Van Kleiss' Pack.

"Scaramouche will do his job. He's been instructed on every detail of the plan he is to carry out and he is smart enough to not risk failure. Not with what's on the line." Sammael replied. "And even if an Ascendant does enter the battle, it will just make things…more exciting."

"What in the world?"

A certain scorpion Faunus, having been sent to monitor the battle gaped at the sight of Scotty's power up.

He had never seen such a display of power before.

Not even from…dare he say…his mistress.

The shaking around the fortress seemed to get worse and worse with each passing second. A few were starting to worry that Scotty may bring down the whole place with them in it. Soon, the pillar of power began to recede and Scotty was now surrounded by a sphere of energy matching the same color as his Aura. The sphere then began to glow brighter and brighter, causing everyone to brace themselves before Scotty released all the excess energy in the form of a mighty shockwave that shook the entire fortress and nearly broke the top half off.

Somehow, everyone in the portal room were still alive and standing but wasn't the shocking part.

What astounded and terrified many, was the sight of Scotty Blake hovering in the air, his entire body surrounded by an Aura matching the orange color of his normal one with his eyes glowing the same color. While it was normal for Aura to be seen in the midst of battle when protecting its owner's body, Scotty's Aura was now powerful enough it was visible to the naked eye.

And the way he hovered in the air, it was like he was divine being.

Van Kleiss had been confident earlier, but even he was shocked by the amount of sheer power Scotty was wielding now. 'So this is an Ascendant.'

The power that could supposedly rival even Sammael's own strength.

Scotty slowly hovered back down onto the ground and faced the mad scientist. "Sorry that I took so long. I haven't down in this in a while and it's always a hassle when I unlock all seven chakras."

Van Kleiss narrowed his eyes at the way Scotty was speaking to him, as if this was anything but a battle to the death.

"But now I'm ready." Scotty grinned. "TO SEND YOU CRYING HOME TO YOUR MAMA!"
