Nearly a Decade Ago
"Waaaaaaaaa!" The night air of the temple is filled with a powerful cry as a disheveled and tired Lana Kane is tended to by her friend Della while her newborn daughter was in the arms of the woman who just an hour earlier was confronting and attacking them claiming to be the Goddess Eris with said crazy woman actual cooing at the baby. "Ahh aren't you a bundle of chaotic energy."
She said as the newborn's cries began to soften, "Hehe you remind me of my little flaming apple~" She said with a giggle before stopping ias the newborn eyes open and seemed to flash purple and all too familiar power of chaos for a second just as quick as a blink of eye that made Eris wonder if she imagine it.
But as she stared into the lovely magenta eyes of the newborn filled with such beautiful chaotic energy something told Eris what she glanced and sensed was far from her imagination as she felt a wide smile cross her face that filled Della and Lana with further trepidation. "Ohhh yes you really are like my Melinda, because you're a special one like my Flaming Apple aren't you~"
She said cooing and tickling the newborn girls chin as she hummed thoughtfully, "And a special little girl needs a special name doesn't she?~" She glanced over at the statue of the Goddess Nyx and gave a hum as a idea occurred to her before saying, "Nyx." Startling the other two present.
Della glanced over at the statue confused, "What about the statue?"
Eris rolled her eyes, "Not the statue, feather brain the baby her name is Nyx."
Lana glared up at her, "Last I checked it was the parent who named the child."
Eris merely snorted and raised her brow looking down at her, "And last I check mortals were smart enough to know annoying the Goddess of Chaos ends badly but here you are."
She rolled her eyes as she started to rock Nyx, "Besides you should be grateful back in the old days many mortals would have killed to be in your position." She smirked down at Lana as Della sat by her friends side, "After all it's not ever day a Goddess not only helps deliver your child but gives her the name of one as well."
She said before an amused smile crosses her face as she continued to rock the newly dubbed Nyx in her arms, "Consider this both my price for letting you two walk free for trespassing." Her voice grew soft, "As well as my thanks towards this little one for giving me perspective and helping me decide on something that's been troubling me recently." She explained as her mind flashed back to her own newborn and how her plan for her daughters future and safety has been cemented no matter how much it will her to let her flaming apple go.
She than shook her head before giving the two a heated glare as she moved to hold Nyx in her left arm while summoning up another Golden Apple in the palm of her right, " Though if you prefer it I can always blow two annoying mortals into itty bitty bits and find someone else to take care of this little chaotic cutie."
Lana gulped while Della glared but took subconscious step back both well aware of Lana's current state and the factor of whether this woman whether a genuine goddess or not was no joke if what they glimpse of her power was anything to judge by.
"Nyx sounds like such a lovely name…thank you" Lana stammered out before saying softly with slight gritted teeth 'thank you' at Eris raised an eyebrow causing the Goddess' smirk to widen.
Though unknown to all purple eyes flashed in the shadows as they played witness to all of this…witnessing the very night of her own birth.

"Wretched organic!" Vexus growled. "When I get my hands on-"
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Vexus looked up and her optics widened in pure shock as Scotty appeared right above her and swung his sword.
SLASH!
It was so quick that almost no one saw it.
And then, a line traveled down Vexus' head and ended right at her waist…
Before her body split in half.
Van Kleiss and the rest of the Pack members were speechless and stunned upon seeing Vexus split in half.
"I-I thought the good guys didn't kill!" Copperhead sputtered, unable to believe what was actually happening before his very eyes.
SLASH!
SLASH!
SLASH!
SLASH!
SLASH!
Scotty didn't stop as he slashed Vexus into a dozen pieces and then held out one hand. "Boom."
BOOM!
As soon as he spoke that one word, the remains of Vexus instantly exploded, leaving nothing left of the once mighty Queen of the Cluster.
Scotty then softly landed on the ground, looking over his shoulder at Van Kleiss.
Van Kleiss was growling now, angered by how easily this one man was dispatching his forces.
Scotty summoned back his copies, all of them merging back together as he turned and faced down Van Kleiss.
The EVO raised his gauntlet, ready to attack.
Scotty merely blinked…
POW!
And Van Kleiss was tossed across the room as he fell on the ground and groaned in pain. Scotty walked over to the weakened madman and grabbed him by his collar, pinning him against a wall. Pulling back his fist, Scotty started mercilessly pummeling Van Kleiss over and over relentlessly laying into him. Scotty was punching Van Kleiss so hard that speckles of purple blood started lightly sprinkling the floor and walls around the two. All the while Scotty was still viciously pummeling Van Kleiss.
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
But before he could lay down another punch, he heard a loud female voice call to him.
"STOP HURTING MY DADDAY!"
Scotty stopped pummeling his enemy as he turned around to see…
A little girl with white hair and white eyes?
She wore a white dress with a black line, white socks and black school girl shoes.
"A child?" Scotty raised an eyebrow.
There was a flash of white light…
POW!
And Scotty was sent flying away.
Bell turned to Van Kleiss as he fell to his knees and rushed over to him. "Daddy!"
Almost everyone did a double take on what she said. 'Daddy?!'
ChaosPiedmon narrowed his eyes at the sight of the girl who had humiliated him. 'Of course he would bring her when things were looking tough!'
"What madness is this?" Major Glory demanded as he landed on the ground. "You look like one of the Powerpuff Girls."
"She is…in a way." Van Kleiss grinned as he gestured to Bell who was standing next to him with a fierce look on her face. "Meet my daughter…Bell."
"Daughter?!" Rex Salazar gaped. "You actually had-"
"She is artificially created." Van Kleiss interrupted.
"Oh." Rex now understood. "That makes much more sense."
"Just when I thought your actions could not have been anymore deplorable in kidnapping people from their home worlds to use in your sick experiments." Major Glory stated with a disgusted look on his face. "If you were any sort of real parent you would know better than anyone that a battlefield is no place for a child."
"I wouldn't be so quick to judge, Major Glory. There's quite a few 'children' on this battlefield who are fighting on your side." Van Kleiss retorted smoothly as he glanced Artemis, Superboy, Miss Martian and even the Legendary Warriors. "You should watch carefully what you say or be burned by your hypocrisy and arrogance. I believe your uncle made the exact same mistake."
Major Glory narrowed his eyes but did not act to the obvious provocation by the mad scientist. No matter what people said about him, Major Glory would not fall below the standards he had placed on himself along with the people and his uncle's expectations of him.
Especially not to give this criminal the satisfaction.
"Yeah and these kids can easily kick your golden behind without us here to them, ya dumb buffon!" Scotty barked. "Look at you, acting so big and tough when you're backed into a corner, you poor excuse for a golden trophy! You've been hiding here all this time, thinking you'd get the drop on us but you never thought we'd actually turn the tables, did ya?"
Van Kleiss narrowed his eyes as Scotty had the gall to laugh at him.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Yer just like that other big baby I used to know! Why don't you run back to your own world, crying to your mama, ya golden faced shilpit, oaf-looking, stauner, nyaff, plookie, mim-moothed, sniveling, worm-eyed, hotten-blaugh, vile-stoochie, cally-breek-tattie?!"
Having enough, Van Kleiss's gauntlet transformed into a giant cannon that fired a beam of golden light at Scotty who easily blocked it with a barrier projected from his hand.
"You never could take a joke." Van Kleiss narrowed his eyes but smiled to see Rex Salazar approaching him.
"Ah, Rex. I had known for quite some time that you had somehow followed me here." Van Kleiss remarked casually.
"We had some help. It shouldn't surprise me that you managed to keep your nanites." Rex glared before looking at Biowulf and Skalamander. "Guys, why are you still working with him? Don't you know what he's up to?"
"Of course they know, that's why they continue to work for me, Rex." Van Kleiss spoke for his two underlings. "They understood I can't be stopped now, not even by you."
"Want to bet?" Scotty asked as he stepped forward.
Van Kleiss narrowed his eyes and his body shapeshifted, resembling a samurai now…only four more arms grew out and each of them held a katana.
Scotty's eyes widened and then narrowed. "You…"
"Still thinking of your old friend, Scotsman?" Van Kleiss taunted. "He wasn't much of a warrior considering he allowed all of this to happen. Did Sammael ever bother to tell you what happened to him?"
"SHUT IT!" Scotty barked and shot at Van Kleiss like an angry missile.
Bell moved to stop him but Major Glory appeared in her way. "I'm sorry, I can't allow you to take part in this."
"Get away from my dad!" Bell shouted, launching a punch at the hero.
Major Glory easily blocked the punch, grabbing her fist and holding it. Bell struggled to break free but the hero of America held on too tight.
"Valhallen."
A few strings played by the Viking God of Rock and the girl easily fell asleep, passing out in the major's hands.
Major Glory could only sadly shake his head. "This truly never gets easier."
Van Kleiss had hoped to gain the psychological edge over Scotty but he in fact underestimated the Scotsman who shot at him so fast he didn't have time to react as Scotty dashed in and started pummeling him. Van Kleiss attempted to block his opponent's attacks with his sword but Scotty had super speed and strength on his side, easily shattering the blades before hitting Van Kleiss with a series of punches before sending him flying several feet.
Van Kleiss grunted as he stood back up. "I am truly running out of patience for this farce."
A golden aura surrounded Van Kleiss, healing his wounds before he suddenly became bulkier with his arms growing much larger. He shot at Scotty who was ready for him as both reared their fists back and…
POW!
A powerful shockwave was caused as their fists collided, knocking everyone back. Van Kleiss grunted as he grabbed Scotty by the face and smashed him into the ground, causing the ground and likely the entire floor to shake. Only Scotty easily recovered and jabbed his right fist forward, hitting Van Kleiss with a force equivalent to that of a megaton, sending Van Kliess flying and crashing though the walls of his own fortress.
POW!
SMASH!
BASH!
CRASH!
Scotty stood up, staring in the hole made by his opponent's crash. He spun around and jumped back as there was a golden flash, revealing Van Kleiss who fired a golden energy blast that sent Scotty flying back. Scotty glared and shot right back at Van Kleiss, sending his first flying at the madman's head.
Van Kleiss ducked and blasted Scotty back again. "Enough of this!"
He teleported over to his machine, creating a golden energy shield over it and quickly activated the teleportation sequence.
"Stop him!" Rex shouted, enlarging his hands into large mechanical fists.
Van Kleiss looked over his shoulder and grinned. "Too late this time, Rex."
The machine was engulfed by a spectrum of dull colors and disappeared before everyone's eyes.
