Just Before the Final Battle in Van Kleiss' Tower
"I have spent the last day looking through over fifteen thousand possible futures of the coming battle ahead of us."
Callie Briggs was silent as she listened closely to Mayor Sebben. The mayor had spent the better part of the day hold up in his office with any meetings or appointments cancelled.
Only Briggs knew that Sebben wanted the privacy to use the Gem of Sight.
"There are five major threats will make themselves known during this battle." Sebben held up his hand as he counted them down. "Sammael, Van Kleiss, Bill Cipher, GOLB and Nergal."
"Nergal?" Callie's eyes widened. "The dark god sentenced to an eternity in the center of the world?"
"The very same." Sebben nodded. "As well as the possibility of the Diamonds, specifically Blue and Yellow becoming involved."
"Oh GOLB." Callie muttered.
"Indeed. We are in for a wild ride this time." Sebben nodded again and sighed. "Sammael will use Van Kleiss to lure in as many Hunters and Heroes to keep us distracted from the army he has gathered that marches towards Nowhere as we speak. Even if we muster an attempt to stop them, the Grimm are too numerous and many of them so powerful we would suffer massive casualties. At the same time, Bill Cipher will use this distraction to bridge the Nightmare Realm and Earth together so he can begin his own reign of chaos while the forces of GOLB will make their move to summon their lord and master. As this happens, Nergal will make a bid for domination, to try and take control of the world from under our feet."
"…How can we stop all of this?" Callie muttered, unable to see how they could hold out against such destructive forces.
"Through careful planning and a great deal of luck." Sebben answered, waving his hand over his desk.
A holographic chess board appeared with numerous pieces with heroes on one side and the villains on the other.
"The first one to make their move will be Van Kleiss." Sebben tapped the piece representing Van Kleiss. "He is working hard and waited a long time to gather his forces. If he knows he's on a clock, he'll try and respond faster than the others. That's where Team SEKR and BATL come in."
Sebben then moved the pieces representing SEKR, BATL and Raven into play.
"They are skilled and powerful enough to distract Van Kleiss enough that we can move against him, assuming Extor can reach the portal controls. That will allow us to move the bulk of our side against Van Kleiss and effectively trap him." Sebben moved a dozen pieces around Van Kleiss and the pieces representing his Pack. "The other-worlders will be the most valuable members in this fight since they all wish to return to their home. They will be the ones to decide the balance of power in this fight and if they succeed, Van Kleiss will be neutralized."
Sebben then moved over to the piece representing Sammael.
"But that's when things get tricky. Even if we defeat Van Kleiss before the Grimm arrive, Sammael has the Fire Elemental with him. Exactly what he needs to open the way to the Gem of Heart. Van Kleiss was placed there because Sammael wanted an army or the closest thing to guard the Gem until he was ready."
"And he's hoping that we'll destroy or weaken ourselves fighting Van Kleiss on his behalf." Callie noted.
"Exactly." Sebben nodded. "Even if Van Kliess is defeated with minimal casualties Sammael will use everything in his power to change or accelerate the time line so he won't have to face a fully united and well rested force standing between him and the Gem of Heart. He will likely have something planned out well in advance that will stop us from leaving immediately and returning to deal with him."
"But the army is still at least three days away from the Nowhere Mountains, even when it begins entering Nowhere." Callie pointed out. "And Global Security forces is monitoring the army's approach carefully. How could Sammael accelerate the army's approach?"
"I suspect Van Kleiss has been hoarding a lot more advanced technology than what we know. If that is the case and Sammael knows about it, we will be caught by surprise. And if so, Sammael will have brought his army to Van Kleiss' doorstep where he will be in the perfect position to wipe out the survivors. All he'll need to do next is clear the path right to the Gem of Heart." Sebben answered before touching the chess piece representing Bill Cipher. "As this happens, Bill Cipher will make his move to gain the rift and force open the way to the Nightmare Realm. The field for attracting all things weird will keep him confined Gravity Falls even if he succeeds but that might only be temporary."
"Hence why you predicted the Megas crew to Gravity Falls." Callie said, glancing at the chess piece representing Megas.
"With the modifications that Lydia forwarded to us that I then forwarded to them." Sebben replied with a small smile. "She's still a very effective Huntress."
"That she is." Callie nodded in agreement. "So we can guess what Sammael is going to do, we are confident we can stop Van Kleiss and we have a counter for Cipher but what about the other two?"
She eyed the pieces representing Nergal and GOLB.
"Those two…Are for the time being…Out of our hands."
Callie Briggs did not like the sound of that.
"As we speak, I know that one is journeying to the center of the Earth to take down Nergal. With our hands full dealing with Van Kleiss and Sammael we'll have to trust them to handle it." Sebben explained.
"Who is it?" Callie asked curiously.
"…The new Thor."

A door of light appeared right in front of the Mystery Shack of Gravity Falls and several people stepped out of it.
"Man that was one heck of an adventure." Stan Pines said with a happy smile. "I can't wait tooooooooo-"
Whatever he was about to finish saying was cut off as he along with his brother, niece, nephew and granddaughters were frozen in time by the time freeze field. Having been in another dimension for some time, they had no way of knowing what had happened.
But someone had been watching them and waiting.
"Perfect."
In a flash of blue fire, Pacifica Cipher appeared with a grin and blazing yellow eyes as she slowly approached the Pine family. She looked at each of them before looking at Mabel's bag and reached inside it, pulling out a metallic box.
"Well, looks like Jack really did pull through. I honestly didn't think he had what it took." Pacifica then looked up at the sky. "Sorry Dad."
(See the upcoming GrimmFall: Infinity Train Arc to understand)

"Perfect!" Bill Cipher rubbed his hands together, his eye curling up with in undisguised glee. "The party is close to getting started. We just need to wait a little bit longer…"
Xxx
"The time is almost now."
Deep in the center of the Earth, standing in the middle of a molten lair, the dark entity of Nergal grinned as he looked down below and saw the dark corrupted light of the monstrous creation known as the Cluster pulsing.
"We are nearing the end game my dear." Nergal said to his wife who happily stood next to him. "The Cluster is reaching the point where it would have hatched by now. Instead, the energy will be channeled directly to me."
He turned around and paced happily around the dark red rocky platform that formed the center of his lair.
"With the energy of the Cluster pulsing through me, I will be strong enough to reach out and touch every person on this planet." Nergal's grin widened, showing his pointed teeth as he glanced at his beloved wife. "Just think, my dear. Everyone connected with each other through me. Unlimited friends for eternity."
"Only you could have made this possible, my dark god." His wife said happily, grasping his hands gently.
"You flatter me, my dear but I cannot claim credit for this alone." Nergal replied, gently touching and stroking his wife's cheek. "It was a joint effort through the work of the Gems who built this creation of theirs deep inside the Earth, Sammael who wanted a way to stop this weapon from destroying the planet…"
"And you, for accepting Sammael's proposal." His wife finished with a devious smile. "Only you can now use it in a way he never considered."
"I wish that were so." Nergal chuckled, grasping his wife's chin. "Unfortunately Sammael no doubt expects betrayal from me. When you live as long as we have, you develop a certain knack for anticipating what people might do when their back is turned. As much as I'd like to think otherwise, infecting Sammael, the Fallen and their Grimm may be even beyond my powers enhanced by the Cluster. Fortunately with the rest of Earth under our control, we'll have the numbers on our side so we can worry about what counter trick Sammael might have when the time comes."
Turning away from his wife, Nergal walked back over to the edge of the platform. "I can sense the battles up on the surface of the world. Sammael's forces are closing in on the Gem of Heart and that is when he'll be the most distracted. That is when I will make my move. And then we'll have expanded our sphere of friends and family beyond-"
RUMBLE!
Nergal frowned as he looked up the 'ceiling' of his lair. "What was that-?"
BOOM!
CRASH!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-! OOF!"
An explosion blasted through the ceiling that was followed by high pitched screaming that ended when something crashed into the ground.
"Did anyone get the number of that tectonic plate that crashed into me?"
Nergal and his wife simply watched as the dust cleared to reveal…
The new Thor.
AKA Johnny Bravo.
Said reincarnation of the fallen thunder god was stumbling around in a daze, having apparently journeyed all the way to the center of the Earth.
Johnny shook his head, regaining his senses and looked around before his gaze fell on Nergal. "Uh…Hi. Have you seen two kids with a bunch of rock ladies?"
Nergal raised an eyebrow. "Rock…ladies?"
"Yeah. One of them is thin, has a pointed nose…like a bird. What do you call them birds with the fancy tails?" Johnny asked, pausing as he tried best to remember each description of the people he was looking for. "One of them has sun glasses…Not cool like mine but still cool and the other one is purple but likes to change into all kinds of different things…Like a talking frog."
"You mean the Crystal Gems?" Nergal clarified.
"Right, them." Johnny nodded with a smile. "What'd I say?"
"As a matter of fact, I have seen them." Nergal grinned as tentacles emerged from his back. "Would like me to show you?"

Scotty dodged another one of 'SAM-R-I''s strikes of his weapon and avoided a few more of Scaramouche's explosive musical notes as he pulled back his sword and slashed at his two opponents several times, all before pulling up his leg machine gun and shooting 'SAM-R-I' point blank in the chest as it made him stumble back.
"SCABADABABIBIBBLABABABABABABABABABABADODODODODOOOOO!"
Scotty looked back as musical notes started flying at him. But before they could explode, Scotty jumped to the side as the notes followed him. Scotty loaded up his leg gatling gun with Ice Dust as he fired at the notes and froze them in blocks of ice. Scotty looked back up at Scaramouche as he pulled out a knife.
"Now... only if ya hold still babe, I can show you MY tricks." Scaramouche smiled.
Scotty then dashed over to Scaramouche who pressed a button on his knife, making it split in two and became something very similar to a tuning fork. Scotty swung his sword as Scaramouche managed to dodge his blows, before Scotty's last strike that left a cut in Scaramouche's robotic body. But Scaramouche continued to dodge until he scratched Scotty's machine gun leg. Scaramouche then jumped in the air, did a triple flip before he landed on the floor.
"Missed, freak!" Scotty taunted as he pointed at Scaramouche but the assassin only smirked.
"Oh, who said I missed, babe..."
Scotty raised an eyebrow in confusion before he looked back down at his gatling gun leg, as it started to vibrate, with the frequency getting higher and higher pitch. Scotty's eyes then widened as he quickly took the 'leg' off and tossed it to the side, right on time as it exploded.
BOOM!
The force of the blast forced Scotty back as he fell on one knee, and looked up at Scaramouche who walked over to Scotty.
"So, what do ya think, babe?" Scaramouche asked, still retaining his smile.
"I think you're a lousy assassin." Scotty as he stood back up on one leg surprisingly and held his sword in front of him. "You think I'm helpless on one leg? Do you forget who you're fighting?!"
Scaramouche sighed before splitting the blade in two once more.
In the meantime, the duplicates of the Justice Friends were pushing Raven and Sebben back, their speed and power more than a match for the two.
'Valhallen' fired a bolt of lightning from his Mighty Axe.
'Miss Spell' held up her hands and a sent a blast of crimson light.
'Living Bullet' shot forward at blinding speed.
'Krunk' jumped up to fall down and smash the two to bits.
'Capital G' enlarged himself to be as big as Krunk and followed him in his own attack.
'Phan-Tone' released a barrage of multi-colored notes much like Scaramouche's own Semblance.
And 'Major Glory' fired his Star-Spangled vision.
Sebben held out his hand and a clock glyph appeared underneath his feet and spread out, freezing the attacks in time.
"Quick! Take them out!" Sebben called out to Raven.
Due to her own powers, Raven was immune to both the time field and Sebben's own Semblance, allowing her to attack the copies. She held up her hands and fired bolts of white light that collided with the copies and immediately destroyed their bodies, both the duplicates being projected and the real drone bodies.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Scaramouche paused, turning to see Raven and Sebben easily defeat his drone copies of the Justice Friends. "No way! Those should have taken you down easily!"
Raven then fired a bolt of white energy at Scaramouche who held up his one free hand and projected an energy shield that protected him from the blast.
"Apparently you forgot, babe. I'm carrying a whole lot of new upgrades from golden boy." Scramouche taunted as he smiled.
To demonstrate, Scaramouche moved at high speed as he disappeared and reappeared behind Raven, delivering a metallic karate chop to her back while delivering a kick that knocked Sebben through the doors, knocking them down as he was sent flying out of the room and then grabbed Raven by the back of her head, slamming her face first into the ground. He raised his knife to finish her off but looked up to hear a roar from Scotty.
There was a flash of blue light and Scaramouche saw only the large fist of the Scotsman before it slammed into his face, knocking him off Raven and sending him crashing into the wall.
Scotty had used his sword to create a portal in front of him, leading it to Raven and saving her just in time. He raised his sword, ready to fight again but Scaramouche then landed in front of him with a huge smile as he lifted up one of his mechanical horse legs and kicked Scotty straight in the chest, causing Scotty to tumble back. Luckily the Scotsman didn't stay down as he picked himself back up and held his sword out.
"Hey baby, you should've learned by now. I'm the best assassin around. And nobody plays the blades like I do." Scaramouche said as he pulled out what looked like to be a coin, as he scratched it with his fork and flicked it at Scotty who jumped out of the way as the coin created a miniature explosion.
Boom!
"NOBODY! GEDALABO!" Sung Scaramouche as he walked forward, Scotty held up his blade with one hand as he reached into his belt and pulled something out.
Scaramouche charged straight at him as he swung his tuning fork.
Slice!
And accidentally hit one Scotty's explosives that he hid in his belt.
Scaramouche blinked as the explosives started to vibrate. "Uh-oh..."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Scotty was knocked and slammed into the wall as his Aura finally broke from the constant battling as well the fact that he had used his Ascendant powers not so long ago and it was beginning to take a toll on him.
The smoke cleared to reveal Scaramouche still standing, his own Aura seemingly breaking as well.
"Oh... Hehehe, he's still alive even after THAT? I'm honestly gonna be a little sad after he's gone, babe." Scaramouche commented with a malevolent smile.
Scotty grunted but managed to open his eyes to see Scaramouche charging at him with his tuning fork yet again as he laughed.
"HAHA! You're DEAD, Babe!
Scotty looked ready to accept his end…before quickly grabbing the kicking metallic hoof of Scaramouche and holding him there.
"Wha-?!"
Scotty turned over and grabbed the leg of Scaramouche, surprising the cyborg as he swung him into the wall, smashing into it before Scotty then held Scaramouche over his head like a wrestler, letting out a bellowing yell. Scotty then turned around and tossed him to the far side of the command deck while pulling out another explosive that he then threw at the cyborg.
Scaramouche managed to stand up in time to see the explosive land in front of him. "Oh... Uh-oh..."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The command deck was rocked by another explosion as Raven managed to get up. She looked back at the other end of the room where the smoke cleared to reveal Scaramouche had survived…
But not without taking heavy damage this time.
Scaramouche was looking around nervously with one of his robotic arms gone. Scotty forwarded his brow angrily as he pulled out his sword up and slowly walked forward, using his sword as a crutch. Raven quickly used her powers to conjure a shield around Sebben, allowing him to drop his time freeze field and the attacks harmlessly bounced off of her shield.
As Scaramouche looked around, he then looked back down to see and angry Scotty walk up to him with his Swordfish out.
"Umm... Hehe. Well, babe... It's time for me to shuffle off stage." Scaramouche said nervously, taking a step back.
"Leaving so soon? I thought you were Sammael 's 'favorite'. Running away with your tail between your legs?" Scotty asked as he kept walking forward while Scaramouche held his remaining hand up.
"Umm... No! No! I mean... It just looks like YOUR the headliner now." Scaramouche took another step back and looked ready to flee.
Not if Raven could help it.
She conjured a field around Scotty and flung him right at Scaramouche before he could escape. The Scotsman yelled as he got close enough, lifted his blade up and brought it down…
Slash!
And cut Scaramouche's robotic body in half.
"Boop-deep, boop-doo...That's all babe."
BOOM!
With that, Scaramouche exploded and his head flew to the side and landed on the very corner of the room.
With his body destroyed, the Time Displacement was gone as well and that caused the time field that had been activated to immediately dissipate.
All around the world, people were moving again, most of them having no clue what had happened in the time they unknowingly been frozen.
Xxx
"This is it!" Cipher shouted in pure glee. "DO IT! DO IT NOW!"
Xxx
"You got it, Father." Pacifica grinned as she held up the Rift while the time field disappeared, freeing the Pines family.
"What?" Ford Pines shook his head and froze in horror when he saw the Rift in Pacifica's hands. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Xxx
Inside Van Kleiss' fortress, everyone was stumbling slightly, all of them feeling disorientated from being frozen in time.
"Whoa. What a rush." Valhallen rubbed his head. "Any idea what's going on?"
Major Glory looked up at the ceiling, narrowing his eyes as he heard something. "I think I do."
Meanwhile, back up on the command deck, Sebben stepped through the broken doors, eyeing the scorched remains of Scaramouche and looked to see Raven helping Scotty to his feet while healing his wounds. He was about to say something when the alarms sounded with klaxons ringing red.
"Now what?" Scotty groaned.
Sebben narrowed his eyes as the main view screen brought up several vid-windows of what the security system had detected. "…It's him."
They looked at the view screen that showed a massive army of Grimm surrounding the mountains of Nowhere. The clouds had darkened and bright yellow lightning flashed, illuminating the presence of many winged Grimm, all of them snarling and roaring. If that wasn't enough, Vehicon drones were assembling on the ground with just as many circling through the air, seemingly allied with the Grimm.
And through the dark clouds, it emerged.
A massive old style ship with wings sprouting from the side and the face of a dragon like Grimm sprouting from the very front emerged out of the darkness and let out a deafening roar that caused the army below to become still and silent. Almost no one had anything seen anything like it but there were those that immediately knew what it meant.
Sammael had arrived.
