Opening File: Badniks
The Badniks are an army of mass-produced military robots created by Dr. Eggman, first deployed during the South Island incident. From there onwards, the Badniks have become the doctor's most numerous army, as well as some of his greatest creations. While Badniks do not have a standard design, they are generally around the height of Sonic, though there are larger models too. Most Badniks are based off of a specific theme, such as animals, insects, plants, Dr. Eggman himself, or more "interpretive" things.
These robots are also divided in the purpose they are designed to serve in combat, such as reconnaissance and shooting; and are prepared for specific environments such as cold areas and deserts. There are more advanced robots, such as Metal Sonic, who can rival Sonic's speed; and the E-Series, the most produced series of Badniks that was created to advance weaponry as shown during their appearance in the Battle of Nowhere.
Many Badnik models have a power source inside of them, most commonly Animals, which are placed at the center of the robot. The way this works is that the Badnik extracts bioenergy from the Animal and uses it as its AI. Other power sources, such as Little Planet flower seeds, Power Cores, or Chaos Drives have been used with a similar purpose as well. When a Badnik is destroyed, the power source inside of it is liberated.
However, most of the more advanced robots, and sometimes the weaker ones as well, are empty and do not release anything when destroyed. The method of putting Animals into Badniks consists of moving Animals from Capsules and set into Badniks. A similar process, known as robotomy, was used where beings were turned into Badniks, rather than being put inside of them. In the final result, the subjects have their body parts mechanized and with built-in equipment such as guns; for example, a purple caterpillar who is subjected to this treatment will be turned into a Caterkiller.
Most Badnik models are very fragile and weak, as a few attacks are enough to destroy them. The Badniks also show signs of having sentience where certain Badniks are both shown and described to have various emotions.

"There is more than one way for a hunter to make a successful kill, especially against a rather large animal. The average hunter will take a simple yet large rifle, loud and clumsy when making the first shot." Sammael mused, half of his face hidden in darkness but both of his eyes could be seen glowing bright red. "They tend to believe in the old saying: 'Bigger is better'."
To clarify his point, a Seer Grimm floats in front of him, showing Hazel Rainhart battling against Muscle Man who despite his own considerable strength is actually smaller than the disguised man.
This is then followed by Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl fusing together to form Alexandrite.
"Admittedly, the method is often quick and yet is not perfect. If the first shot misses a vital organ, then it's unlikely the hunter will have the chance to fire a second shot before the hunter becomes the hunted."
Vilgax is shown next, fighting against the Crystal Gems along with Ben Tennyson and Rex, easily recovering from any hits.
Next appears Blue Diamond facing down Omnimon on the Gem Homeworld, having trouble fighting him as the Digimon is moving too fast and has managed to injure her with his Garuru Cannon.
"Another method is to use a smaller, more hidden weapon. The idea being precise and quiet."
Abigail Lincoln is shown in her tournament fight with Marie Kanker, using her Semblance to take the middle Kanker sister down.
"While unlikely to take down the prey in the first shot, with timing and precision it would be down after the next two or three hits."
I.O.N.E.S.C.O.U., the Dark Gundam is shown struggling to hit the smaller and more agile Dracon.
"However, if the prey is too small, it is unlikely that any of the shots will hit their intended target."
Yellow and Blue Diamond are then shown shrinking down to their Diamond Battle Mode forms.
"The subtle hunter needs no weapon at all to make a successful kill."
Tiki Torch is shown releasing a great explosion of fire, burning the underwater dimension of Aqueela.
"Why use a single weapon when one can release a dozen hornets, wasps or any other kind of insect that is dangerous in numbers upon the prey, attacking from all sides?"
Aqueela is shown swimming for her life, just making it out of the puddle before she is incinerated until only her skeleton is left behind that also burns to ashes in a matter of seconds.
"This method is often slow and doesn't leave behind a pelt or trophy in any presentable condition." The Seer Grimm lowered itself, allowing Sammael's grinning face to be shown again. "But in the end, the prey is dead without ever knowing what killed it."
Xxx
Aqueela shot up towards the nearest light at the top of the cavern realm, desperate to escape before the temperature reached a point where the hot water would burn her skin right down to her very bones. The bubbling intensified as she was nearing the surface and from behind she could Tiki-Torch roaring just as she broke through the puddle and reached back into the real world.
What followed was a blazing light and she knew no more.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A pillar of fire exploded from the ground, incinerating the Grimm and causing everyone to freeze and looked at the explosion. Skarr covered his face, blinded by both the light and sheer heat emanating from where Aqueela had dragged Tiki-Torch down to a watery grave.
Aqueela…
Skarr lowered his hand in time to see a blackened skeleton standing above the puddle, resembling a mix of human and perhaps some undersea predator before the bones finally burned away into nothing. What came up next was Tiki-Torch with his skin having turned black along with his mask but the eyes and mouth were glowing bright red.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Tiki-Torch let out a powerful roar that caused the Grimm to pause, his voice echoing to almost every corner of Nowhere itself.
The battle had only just begun.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The fiery explosion caused not just the Grimm to halt but also their allies.
"Hold our forces back!" Obsidian shouted, watching as the fire blasted into the sky.
The Vehicon army, having allied with Sammael for the attack on Van Kleiss immediately halted their approach.
"What is going on out there?" Thrust asked, having been forced to stay at the rear end with the other Vehicon generals.
They had set up a command outpost at the rear end to better coordinate the Vehicons assisting the Grimm, though personally Jetstorm, Thrust and Tankor would rather be on the front lines, engaging the enemy.
"It seems Sammael underestimated the tenacity of the Justice Friends." Obsidian remarked. "The fiery temperature of that explosion would be enough to melt even the body of a Racing Drone along with a Vehicon. Have our forces pull back until we can get better analysis of what happened and open a channel to Robotnik."
Xxx
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
"Full stop! Full stop I say!" Ivo Robotnik, better known to the rest of the world as Dr. Eggman watched from the bridge of his Egg Carrier as fire exploded from the base of the mountains where the main battle was happening. "Temperature is rising too fast. If it continues like this, we'll have to pull back. Not even the shield would be able to protect us."
One of his robots, Orbot turned to him to asked a question. "What could cause an explosion?"
"It's obviously Tiki-Torch, you lugnut. Guess they decided to turn up the heat…Literally." Eggman answered, muttering the last part to him.
A beeping light on his console caught his attention and he pressed the button next to it, causing Obsidian to appear on the screen. "Robotnik."
"Obsidian." Eggman greeted. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"We're pulling our forces back. Tiki Torch is unleashing fire hot enough that it will soon rival Earth's sun. I suspect he will attempt to burn down the entire army or force us to retreat." Obsidian answered.
"He wouldn't dare. The Justice Friends wouldn't go that far, not with their allies right behind them." Eggman retorted.
"They will if the stakes are enough. Nowhere was already barren before the remaining few towns were evacuated, meaning there is much less chance of their powers causing civilian casualties. They are pretty much to free to use their full powers, just as Sammael predicted." Obsidian said back. "He wanted to force them into fighting with everything they had, tiring them out if Van Kleiss wasn't enough until the second phase of the plan was done."
"He's getting his wish." Eggman conceded. "I guess we'll have to follow through with our own contingencies."
"Agreed." Obsidian said before ending the call.
Eggman turned to the robots on the bridge, glaring them down. "Deploy the E-Series Badniks."
Xxx
His call to Eggman done, Obsidian turned to Tankor. "Order your drones to prepare the first volley. They will cover mine and Jetstorm's drones."
"And what are we going to be doing?" Jetstorm asked impatiently.
"We're sending a scouting team to check on the enemy's rear." Obsidian answered, glaring at the Nowhere Mountains.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Sammael and Major Glory paused their fight, turning their heads to see the explosion of fire in front of the Nowhere Mountains.
The King of the Fallen had a solemn look on his face as he muttered a single world. "Aqueela…"
Major Glory looked back at Sammael, noting the look on his face. "So, it seems one of your fellow Fallen has already perished."
"You don't sound so broken up about it." Sammael retorted as he looked back at the major. "I thought you heroes frowned on killing."
"My vision and hearing already told me that Aqueela pushed Tiki Torch to the absolute limit. We may not seek to brutally and mindlessly kill like you and the Grimm but we all know there are times we are given no choice, especially with what's at stake." Major Glory refused to let the Fallen King taunt him. "If anything, I am surprised you actually care. You have always considered the people around you to be pawns."
"Pawns that can be made to serve to a greater purpose should they realize their full potential." Sammael softly rebuked. "Aqueela's gifts made her valuable enough for me to tolerate her appetite. It appears though that it was that very appetite that led to her downfall. I must congratulate your friend Tiki-Torch on a job well done."
He actually smiled, causing Major Glory to scowl. "Only you could glorify death and destruction."
"And you think no one else, especially the so-called defenders of this world have not?" Sammael raised an eyebrow. "In fact, the very same ones who risked their lives to keep the Spiral Gems from me had no trouble at all letting out their dark sides."
The warrior king holding his sword as his twelve disciples stood with him…
"King Ozric and his greatest warriors, each of them wielding a Spiral Gem against me."
A large brutish man slammed two dragon Grimm skulls against each other, shattering them on impact. A woman showing a euphoric smile as she cut through several Grimm and dark warriors as fire, air, water and earth danced around her.
"They knew and understood what was at stake so for the sake of the world, they cast aside all their so-called morals."
An armored man was turned to ach by another woman who had a black aura surrounding her.
"And became nothing more than killers in every sense of the word."
Another warrior morphed into a titan, facing down a hulking Leviathan Grimm.
"They called upon every bit of savagery lurking in their hearts until they literally drowned the battlefield and themselves in their own bloodlust."
Sammael and Ozric's swords clashed together, red and green energy swirling around them.
"Since then, there has never been a group of so-called heroes that has ever actually forced me to feel fear." Sammael remarked. "So, tell me Major Glory could you ever hope to reach that level while holding onto your own views of justice?"
Major Glory only glared before shooting straight at Sammael, rearing his fist back and letting out another battle cry.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
General Skarr barely had time to blink before watching the remains of Aqueela disappear into the fire, not even leaving any ashes in their wake. Lava spewed up like a geyser, forcing the Grimm back and causing the entire army to halt.
Then it rose up.
A dark muscular humanoid man, with a dark mask over their face with its eyes lacking pupils, sclera or iris.
They were just holes in the black scorched Tiki shaped mask, showing the pure unending fire that made up this demon's being.
As a Fallen, General Reginald Skarr feared very little.
He had the blood of the Grimm in his veins, granting him power beyond any mortal's dreams and he could command the Creatures of Grimm, the scourge of humanity. Only a handful of beings on the entire planet could pose a threat to him.
This unfortunately was one of them.
The demonic being formerly known as the hero Tiki-Torch stepped forward, the flames at his feet actually causing the ground to melt into lava with each step.
"It has been a long time since I have been called upon by a mortal wearing my mask." The entity spoke in ethereal voice, letting Skarr know this was not a mortal anymore.
It was the deity that the mask channeling its powers through its earthly vessel belong to.
Several Grimm, including a Skullcrusher shot at the being to slay it and its mortal avatar…
BOOM!
Another blast put an end to their intent, burning their entire being away and forcing the surrounding Grimm to back away.
"Ha."
The Tiki deity watched as more Grimm, Wickermen marched through the flames that only added to the fire covering their bodies. These Grimm resembled giant trees with arms and legs, their bodies more dark wood than liquid like most Grimm bodies were.
And leading them was another Fallen.
"Moloch, Beast of Eternal Darkness." The Tiki-God snarled.
"Tiki-God, master of fate and fortune." Moloch didn't seem bothered by the flames now covering his body.
If anything, it made him look more terrifying if anyone else were to see him.
"How nice of you to join us." Moloch mockingly stated.
"I have come…To burn every last one of you into nothing" The Tiki-God declared and immediately more fire exploded from around him.
He shot at Moloch, rearing back a flaming fist that collided with Moloch's own hand. The Tiki-God grunted, his flames failing to burn through Moloch's body and reduce him to ash.
"Fool! My body can endure anything because my soul is not bound to it!" Moloch shouted before he threw the Tiki-God over his shoulder and slammed him into the ground. "I am immortal!"
Moloch raised his free hand and the fingers extended into sharp claws that he then plunged down to impale the Tiki-God. Only the deity possessing the hero kicked the claws away with a flaming foot and slammed both of his feet into Moloch's chest, knocking the Majesty Class Fallen back into the surrounding Wickermen Grimm, knocking them down. The Tiki-God jumped to his feet and spun, roaring as a blast of fire erupted from his mouth and actually incinerated the Wickermen Grimm.
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
"Pull back!" Skarr shouted, ordering the other Grimm to clear away from the battle between Moloch and what was formerly Tiki-Torch.
The fiery attack ended, and the Tiki-God watched as the flames cleared to reveal only Moloch standing in the middle of the ground that had either become completely scorched black and had actually melted into lava.
"Is that it?" Moloch was as scorched as the ground, turning his body as black as he preferred when hiding in the shadows while his eyes glowing fiery red. "Do you not understand yet?"
"I understand perfectly, Beast of Eternal Darkness." The Tiki-God retorted. "If you are truly immortal enough to withstand my fire than I have nothing to fear."
"Nothing to fear?" Moloch echoed in confusion. "How can you not be afraid if I can't be killed, even by you?"
"All you have proven is that I do not have the luxury of holding back." The Tiki-God declared, his fiery aura growing even more intense. "So by all means, take every bit of my fire and see if you can withstand the agony of holding flames that burn hotter than the flames of the Nightosphere!"
Suddenly the flames all vanished, surprising Moloch and everyone else nearby.
Valhallen had just dodged another attack from the Slag Cephalopod when he felt the intense heat surrounding him. "Oh boy, we're hitting overtime."
Xxx
"T-Bone, quick activate the Ice Dust coolers and get us away the fight!" Razor said as the TurboKat soared overhead. "I am picking up an intense source of heat coming from the front lines. It's reaching close over a million degrees Fahrenheit!"
"You're kidding!" T-Bone quickly turned on the coolers as he turned the TurboKat around, heading back over the mountains. "What could generate that much heat outside of a sun?"
Xxx
Kazemon stumbled as an intense wave of heat hit her and Agunimon quickly caught her. "You feel it too, don't you?"
"Yeah…" Kazemon slowly nodded, looking up and over the mountains where the battle was taking place. "I never felt this hot before in my life… Not even you…"
"I feel it to." Agunimon stared in the direction where the battle was taking place. "I never thought there was someone who could project more heat than the Warrior of Fire."
"That's because it's a mere mortal projecting this heat." Extor cut in, activating a pair of wind fans that extended from his backpack. "It's the result of a deity channeling its power through a mortal, increasing their own fire based Semblance to levels an ordinary person could never achieve on their own."
"A deity?" Lowemon asked. "Valhallen?"
"He's not the only member of the Justice Friends to be gifted with the power of the gods." Extor shook his head. "There is a reason the Justice Friends are considered the Earth's strongest fighters."
Xxx
"It's because their powers simply go beyond anything thought possible."
Tiki-Torch's body had changed again.
His body was now scorched black with the skin having seemingly burnt away, revealing the muscles underneath that were smoking and sizzling while the eyes and mouth continued to glow with the reflection of magma. Moloch raised a none-existent eyebrow at the state that the Tiki-God has left its mortal vessel in but there was no sign that the body was in pain. The ground under its feet was burning away, causing smoke to rise.
"Behold as I channel the fires of my host channeled with my own power." The Tiki-God knelt and placed a single finger on the ground in front of him.
The ground in front of him didn't explode or melt.
It was just gone, rendered none existent by sheer heat of the Tiki-God's power that traveled all the way towards Moloch before he could even react.
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Moloch screamed as heat hotter than anything he had ever felt burned through his body.
The sheer heat would have been enough to instantly burn a human body into absolutely nothing, not even leaving ashes behind. Only as Moloch said, he was immortal for his soul was not bound to his body, thus allowing him to survive.
However, it left him in unimaginable agony.
The sheer force of heat turning the ground beneath him into none-existence also sent him shoot into the air like a rocket, flying past the Grimm army along with the Vehicons and Dr. Eggman's forces, following quickly by the Tiki-God. Before Moloch could even react and he was likely unable to as the sheer pain had left him in shock at this point, the Tiki-God slammed a burning hand into his face, causing him to scream even louder as they slammed into the ground, the sheer heat disintegrating the ground the moment they landed, forming into a giant crater.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Do you feel the heat, demon?" The Tiki-God asked with absolutely no mercy in its voice. "I have taken all the fires of my host enhanced by my power and contain it all inside this body. My host is protected of course by me so he does not feel the pain nor die from the flames and temperature of the fire."
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNN YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Moloch managed to howl out.
"Containing all the fire in my body and projecting from any point I see fit. All of it from a single touch, disintegrating anything and everything around us." The Tiki-God continued. "And the sheer I project is enough to be felt all across this land. Imagine the hottest place you can imagine, times one million and then imagine that heat scorching right through your entire being, burning up until nothing is left."
The flames of his body intensified and Moloch let out another scream. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"
"Oh right, you don't have to imagine." The Tiki-God said darkly. "My host could have used my powers at Flowertopia against that water woman but the sheer heat would have likely dried up the surrounding and killed the survivors on that island. Despite how ruthless you must see me as, I would never use this power on innocent mortals. You on the other hand…"
Moloch at this point was unable to scream, the sheer pain seemingly sending him into a coma.
"You hunt children in the dark, fill them with despair and turn them into lifeless trees to be burnt into your lamp, nourishment for your dark soul." The Tiki-God snarled. "Even for a Fallen, I find you horrific for such actions. If I can't destroy you here, I can at least send you into such an agony that you would never dream of hunting in this world again!"
Suddenly Moloch lashed out and grabbed the Tiki-God's arm, surprising him. "What?!"
"Do not think I am done yet, Master of Fortune." Moloch opened his eyes, showing a hellish red glow as his voice became darker and more demonic. "You forget, I have the blood of the Grimm, the Ultimate Evil, the dark force that even the Gods, your kind feared! Within me is the power to extinguish the light, even the light of the sun! All things die, even stars go out, their bright light blinking out and leaving only darkness!"
Moloch managed to get up, grappling with the Tiki-God now. "The same will happen to your flames, no matter how brightly you burn! Are you ready, Tiki-God to see TRUE DARKNESS?!"
