A/N: Thank you for coming to check out this little fic! It has been a while since I wrote anything - a lot has been going on in my personal life - and my writing style has had a bit of a change so I thought I would do an updated version of this to help me get back into writing without putting too much pressure on myself. Hope you enjoy!

Aurora - (n.) The dawn in the early morning

The soft sounds of appreciation coming from his bride makes Georg smile as he runs his fingers along her spine while holding her in the aftermath of lovemaking, his lips against her brow as her foot runs lazily along his calve. It was another one of those nights. A night where all they did was make love and murmur soft, sweet nothings to each other until the first light of dawn crept through the drapes. They will be exhausted and probably somewhat irritable later, he has no doubt, but none of that matters at this moment as they lie together and revel in the quiet.

He brushes his lips against her skin as his hand slides down her back and settles at the base of her spine when she cuddles close, his other hand groping for the covers before he draws them over her to ward off the morning chill. It is true that he loves when they get up early to go sightseeing, but he cannot deny he favours their relaxed mornings a little more. Since arriving in Paris a little over a month ago now, he's come to learn there's nothing he loves more than laying and holding her like this. It's the most exquisite feeling, her heated skin against his own, and he is positively certain that he could stay here with her like this for the rest of time and never grow tired of it.

When she stops curling the hairs on his chest around her fingers and brings a hand to her mouth with a rather unladylike yawn, he chuckles into her hair before smiling when she tilts her head back on his shoulder with the deepest sigh. She's exhausted and fading fast, but he is certain she has never looked more lovely than she does at this moment. Her once neat air is now a delightful auburn mess thanks to his eager hands and the deep blush her cheeks held some time ago has almost disappeared completely, only the most innocent pink hue remaining.

She rests a hand on the side of his neck and grazes her nose against his own, the love he has for her increasing tenfold. He adores how she has come to find her own little ways of telling him what she wants without the use of words. Using the fingers of his free hand to brush her hair from her face, he lets the back of his hand trail down her cheek before taking her by the chin and allowing his thumb to caress her skin. He gazes at her in silence for just a second, drinking in her natural beauty, before he leans in and captures her lips with his own in a kiss that can only be described as delectable. It's long and soft and warm, a true contrast to the fiery, passion-filled kisses they shared not long ago, and he is more than willing to take his time this time around. To savour every moment.

His hand comes to rest on the side of her neck when hers moves down his chest and finds his waist, pulling him closer, his thumb running along her jaw before following the curve of her ear as his lips move over hers. He feels her squirm when he traces her ear again and he chuckles, knowing full well it was one place she was particularly sensitive. He sinks back into their kiss with such ease and it deepens almost instantly, his tongue finding hers as his hand buries itself in her hair. For the next however long, their slow, passionate kisses continue and nothing outside the little bubble they are in matters.

Much sooner than either of them would like, however, the all-too-familiar urge to breathe rears its head and so he kisses her once more before pulling away so they could catch their breath. His hand falls and traces her cheek as she looks at him from where her head lies on his shoulder, his love for her deepening as a sunbeam falls across her face and makes the smattering of freckles over her cheeks and nose all the more prominent. He's admittedly spent many a lazy morning attempting to count them all since they came away on their honeymoon.

She detests them – he hasn't the slightest idea why – but he truly thinks they're one of her loveliest features.

"You're exhausted," He observes, noticing she's fighting to keep her eyes open. "You ought to try to sleep."

She nods and rolls over so her back is to him, a wave of calmness washing over her when she feels him lie down behind her and wind an arm around her waist. Once he has her drawn against his chest and he's curled himself around her, they sigh as he eases an arm under her head and begin to settle down as he kisses her tenderly on the back of her neck.

"I love you." She tells him as her eyes slip closed and she buries her nose in her pillow.

"I love you too." He assures her, dropping another kiss to the back of her bare shoulder.

It doesn't take her long at all to fall asleep in his arms and her soft little snores make him smile as he brushes his thumb against her stomach. After lying there with her for a while, he figures he ought to take his own advice and get a couple hours himself considering they have a full day ahead of them. Settling down behind her, he sighs to himself as something dawns of him when his eyes fall closed.

Dawn truly is his favourite time of day.

A/N: Thank you so much for taking the time to read. I always love M&G fluff so this was so much fun to write. I would love for you to leave a review if you have the time, it would mean the world. See you soon!
