It was a nice day as Angry Luigi was warming up food. Oliver was playing with Emma as it was July 5th.
"Good morning, kids." Skylia says.
"Morning." Oliver says.
"Good luck at your show." Skylia says to Oliver.
"Thanks." Oliver says.
"And nothing will ruin our preparations." Alem tuber says as there was a news report.
"Great, Big Owl is free, and Anti-Hybrid and Mr, and Mrs. Clusterfield, too. Whatever. I'll stop them." Alem tuber says.
"You know Mark and Brandon are teaming with Mike and Josh right?" Skylia asked.
"I'll kick their butts!" Alem tuber says and flew off
"Who would release them?" Skylia asked.
Later, Angry Luigi and Oliver were walking with Emma as Anti-Hybrid spied on them and shot sludge at them as they slipped and fell.
"Well, well, well…wait, it's the weak twin." Big Owl says as Angry Luigi gulped.
Alem tuber kicked Mr. and Mrs. Clusterfield into Anti-Hybrid.
The Golden Shooter flew towards them.
"We're outta here!" Angry Luigi says and ran carrying his siblings.
"Call your friends" Emma says as Angry Luigi tries, but gets an image of them tied up.
"We're doomed…" Angry Luigi says.
"I know what to do." Emma says.
They arrive at the Adventure Kids' place.
"You need our help, hm? Anything for you, Oliver!" Cynthia says. "Who let them out?"
Emma shrugged.
Teeders smirked "And I got a plan, but I'll need live bait."
"I got a bad feeling…" Emma says.
Soon, Angry Luigi and Emma were on a street as the Golden Shooter was flying in.
Angry Luigi grabbed Emma and ran as the Golden Shooter flew after them.
Angry Luigi runs faster as Teeders used a magnet, causing the Golden Shooter to get attracted to it
Cynthina had turned into Ara Ecarlette and leaped into action punching Big Owl. He tossed poison feathers as she dodged
Anti-Hybrid shot diamond shards at Oliver who was dodging
"We're supposed to be practicing!" Oliver says as Alem tuber kicked Anti-Hybrid, who tries punching Alem tuber, who punched him as Angry Luigi and Emma stomped on his head.
This was being recorded.
Angry Luigi took out an ice flower and turned into Ice Angry Luigi, tossing ice balls as Anti-Hybrid was frozen.
Alem tuber flew in and punched Big Owl.
Mr. and Mrs. Clusterfield shot lasers as the Adventure Kids ran circles around them, confusing them as Emma slid and did a slide kick.
"Gotta go now!" Oliver says and ran off with Cynthia.
Angry Luigi frees his friends.
"Thanks for saving us, now we got a show to prepare for." Savannah says.
"Remy freed your villains. I saw it" Colleen says.
People of Royal Woods cheered for Oliver.
Remy sees this and is livid. He stormed out and goes into the spaceship and thinks as he starts flying it and flew after Angry Luigi and shot a bunch of lasers left and right as Angry Luigi ducked as Emila used a spell on the ship as it was beginning to shrink as Remy jumped out
"Stay back!" Remy says, but Delta leaped and kicked him as he was bleeding from that kick alone.
"Why are you doing this?" Savannah asked
"Because those 2 ruined one of my past birthdays!" Remy says "I got a show to attend in 2 hours, so you count your days."
He leaves as Emma has wet her pants.
Victoria, however, wasn't happy with Remy's behavior as of late. So she decided to put a stop to it. She grabbed Remy before he could leave.
"Enough is enough, Remington. Releasing villains into town? Making people suffer because of your birthday being ruined? Wanting the Waterlashes to feel your pain? All that was the last straw! You have gone too far this time! And I know Haiku saw how you acted right then and there. No more revenge plots, no more getting even, and no more hurting innocent people! The whole town is suffering because of you!" Victoria says.
Remy looks down. He realized he was now in big trouble because of his revenge on the Waterlashes.
With Luke, he was getting ready for the show with Oliver and Cynthia.
"I can't believe Remy did that…" Luke says in disbelief.
"I know! My hairdo is ruined…" Cynthia says.
"And I thought he was nice…" Luke says. "I think I was wrong."
"We still need him on our team." Cynthia says.
Remy showed up later.
"Okay, Remy, listen, do it again and I'm not teaming up with you anymore." Cynthia says.
"It was uncool. What you did to Oliver and his new family was uncalled for!" Luke says.
"I didn't mean to hurt Oliver…" Remy says.
"They didn't ruin your birthday. My siblings did. Are you gonna hurt them, too?!" Luke asked angrily.
Flashback: Angry Luigi zoomed by Remy's birthday party as the Golden Shooter shot missiles. Angry Luigi dodged the explosions as Savannah was trying to run after them.
"He was trying to be a hero." Oliver says.
"He dragged his fight to my party! He's no hero." Remy says.
"Enough! Don't make me call my sister." Cynthia says. But Charity stopped Cynthia from confronting her son further. They needed to work this out.
"Okay, boys, we have lost lots of practice time, so we'll probably just do our best. Remy is going down." Alem tuber says.
Luke stared at Remy for a long time. Luna was getting a bit nervous.
"Did we ruin Remy's birthday?" Lana asked.
"Luna and Luan did." Luke says. They gulp and hug in fear.
"Guys, you'll never believe it, but this guy named Begmax attacked me and it was pretty scary, but turns out his suit is a major weakness, so Lisa did her nerdy stuff and he was gone." Lynn says.
"That's nice, Lynn. But right now, we're all dealing with Remy and what he could potentially do to us." Luna says.
Lynn wanted to find Remy, but Luke stopped her.
"Remy is feeling guilty enough. His punishment is being dealt out." Luke says.
Meanwhile, Lucy was planning Luke's birthday like always.
"Lucy?" Haiku says.
"Not now, planning Luke's day." Lucy says, ignoring her.
Haiku frowned and went to see Maggie.
"Let me guess, you wanna break up with him?" Maggie asked.
"All he cares about is getting revenge on Oliver and his family!" Haiku cried. "He hasn't taken me out in weeks! Or even made time for me! Why? Because he only cares about hurting innocent people just to make sure the Waterlashes suffer!"
"Didn't you do it during the fair?" Lucy asked, looking up a bit.
"That's not the point!" Haiku screamed. "The point is, all he wants to do now is make everyone suffer!"
Maggie holds her.
"Guess who's about to lose his love?" Oliver says. "You really did it this time, Remy…"
"No…Haiku, please don't leave me!" Remy sobbed, on his knees.
"You hurt innocent people because you wanted revenge on Brandy and his family." Haiku says. "You went too far."
"Please don't leave me…" Remy sobbed. "I'm already guilty enough…"
"Fine, you were the one who took my virginity and my code states I can't do it with anyone else." Haiku says.
Soon, the show was starting.
"Welcome to 1980's Night here on America's Next Hitmaker! Tonight, our first quintuple elimination of the season will take place, leaving 35 teams to go on to Disney Night in Anaheim, California!" Gemma says. "The platinum button is in play tonight. But it can only be pressed for only one team to save them from elimination. Keep that in mind as the performances go on."
Luna looked nervous.
"Without further ado, it's time to introduce the first performance!" Gemma says.
Luna and the Moon Goats came on stage first, performing "I Love Rock & Roll" by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.
Fans cheered for the group as Brandy wanted to go last. He felt unconfident.
Skylia feels bad for Brandy.
Soon, Luna and her band finished as the crowd cheered.
Backstage, Lisa, Beau, Cuphead, and Mugman prepared for their performance. Mugman was distant, however.
"What?" Lisa asked.
"Oh, nothing..." Mugman says.
"Mugsy, are you mad at me because I forgot about you today?" Cuphead asked.
"YES!" Mugman shouted at Cuphead.
"You're twins." Lisa says. "And we're up next."
"Brothers and birthday twins." Mugman pointed out. "Our birthday is today. And I did remember him. It wouldn't kill him to remember me every now and then!"
Soon, it was their turn. They performed "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John.
Fans cheered for them.
There were fan gifts for Oliver for saving the town. Oliver grinned.
The cups, Lisa, and Beau soon finished. Mugman was the first one off stage.
He then looks back on his and Cuphead's past birthdays. Cuphead always got the good gifts and the better cake. And the better party even though they shared a birthday. Mugman felt hot inside. So hot, his milk was steaming.
Meanwhile, Alem tuber arrived at a chemical lab with his buddies as Mr. and Mrs. Clusterfield was robbing it. They shot some goo at the heroes as they dodged.
"Maybe we should have called the police when we won." Alex says.
"We have a show." Alem tuber says
"Are you ignoring us?" Mrs Clusterfeild asked
"Yeah." Alex says.
They try punching the kids as they dodge.
Red and blue owls flew in as Alem tuber grabbed them and slammed them into each other.
Mr. Clusterfield and Alex were having a sword fight.
Meanwhile Mike, Josh, Mark, and Brandon were performing as girls fainted.
"Thank you!" Mike says.
"I don't like them…" Emma says.
"They're our rivals." Jason says, punching his fists. "Maybe I gotta give 'em a good old-fashioned knuckle sandwich…"
"You'll get me eliminated!" Colleen says.
Next was the adventure kids. Fans cheered for them as they performed.
Luke's confidence plummeted downward. He knows he'll lose, so why stay on?
"You can't quit, Luke…" Oliver says.
"My family has now started cheering someone else on. I think I'm not cheer-worthy anymore." Luke says before going silent.
"This is Lisa and Luna's fault for sure." Remy says. Cynthia then nipped any idea of revenge Remy had in the bud.
"Coming up next, the self-proclaimed stars of the show, the cosmic buddies!" Gemma says as Alem tuber, Alex, Jack, and Reilly took the stage by diving in after their battle. They toss red and blue owls as they groan.
"Are you ready? Let's do this!" Alem tuber says as fans cheer. They start performing "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen.
Angry Luigi looks less confident as he looks down.
Alem tuber even shows a music video of them fighting crime.
Fans cheered as Alem tuber and his pals end by doing backflips and landed in a hero pose.
"Easy dubs!" they say.
Luke was long gone by then. He finally realizes he's up against stiffer competition this season.
"You can't quit just because things seem hard. In life, you can't take shortcuts." Lucy says. Luke hissed, tuning her out. He knew all this already.
"You can win." Leni says.
"No. I don't believe I can anymore." Luke finally said.
"Your team needs you, but if you don't want to do this, it's your choice. Do whatever makes you happy." Leni says.
Luke's teammates see him.
"Luke, we can win." Oliver says.
"Yeah, they're pathetic compared to us. We're the best and only team that matters." Remy says.
"Whatever they said and junk." Cynthia says.
"Your brothers are better than me." Luke says to Oliver.
"No way. People hate them, they suck." Remy says, crossing his arms. "You're better than all of us."
"Um, Luke, you're not alone…" Oliver says as Luke had been saying people are better than him as if he was alone.
"Yeah, together we will win." Remy says.
Angry Luigi sighed and walked on the road as The Golden Shooter was flying towards him, having gotten free.
Delta kicked the Golden Shooter as she smirked. He shot lasers as Delta dodged and moved around at fast speeds. Chrissy teleported behind the Golden Shooter and tried to attack, but got blasted.
Emila used a spell, but the Golden Shooter dodged.
"This is not my day…" Angry Luigi sighed and went back to get ready. He didn't feel confident
"Ready to lose, idiot?" Alem tuber asked and laughed. "It's too easy."
Mugman was alone. He was mad to the point where his milk steamed more than usual.
"Happy birthday, Mugsy." Cuphead says, giving him a gift of an image of Cala Maria's book and the book itself.
"Cuppy…how…how did you get this?" Mugman asked.
"I worked harder than usual." Cuphead says.
"Coming up next, the stars of the show, Luke Huntington, Remy Estevez, Oliver Fox, and their brightest spot, Cynthia Widdlestine!" Gemma says.
Fans cheered and screamed for them as they performed "Bang The Drum All Day" by Todd Rundgren. They were doing a routine they practiced with this song, using drums and movements as the siblings cheered.
Gemma hit the platinum button.
The four of them squealed after they finished.
Brandy looks even more unconfident.
Soon Savannah, Tina, Charity, and Victoria came out as fans cheered. The four of them performed "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper.
Fans cheered for them.
"Charity! Victoria!" Boys cheered.
"Go, mom!" Leni cheered.
"You got this!" Forest cheered.
They soon finished as fans tossed flowers to them.
Soon, Brandy, Colleen, Sal, and Jason were up. They performed "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds.
Fans cheered a bit as Colleen frowned during it, knowing she couldn't keep up with Luke.
Soon, they finish as Luke and his friends see Colleen walking, upset.
"You did great." Garrett says.
"Thanks. I know I can't keep up with Luke…" Colleen says sadly.
They soon tally the votes to see who will go to the next show. The main teams were still in, meaning they would be heading to Anaheim for the next show soon.
Later, the Trillion triplets were flying as Angry Luigi was on Bill's plane, going after them
"Oh, come on!" Troy says as they fly off, getting away. Bill looked stunned as the triplets went into a portal.
"Those Trillion triplets must want to mess with timelines." Skylia says
"Which is why I gotta make a time machine and fast." Bill says.
"What a day…" Cynthia says.
"Albert can take us back in time." Kali says.
"Oh, no!" Cynthia says. "I'm not risking my life to save those Cosmic buddies again."
"Okay, you can stay here with your sister." Kali says as Albert takes them back. Cynthia just blinked.
"Maybe staying was a bad idea." Cynthia says, knowing her sister. But like she said, she wasn't risking her life to save the Cosmic buddies again.
Luke was heading home.
"You did great!" Lana says.
"Yeah, thanks…" Luke sighed.
"I wonder if Bill is okay." Lisa wonders and works on a time machine.
"I wanna join." Lynn says.
"No." Lisa says.
"You're no fun, sis." Lynn says. Lisa finished and jumped in.
Lisa noticed the Trillion triplets about to attack a younger Alem tuber, but she used telekinesis to send them away as they groaned. Alem tuber punched Troy and Delta leaped in.
Meanwhile, Cuphead and Mugman arrived at Ribby and Croaks' place. "Happy birthday, Cuphead and Mugman! Tonight, everything is on the house!" They say.
The cup brothers were surprised. "Free ice cream!" They say. They then order the best ice cream sundae this place has to offer.
"Mugsy, I'm sorry I made you sad on our past birthdays." Cuphead says. "I'm going to try harder to be a better brother to you."
Mugman smiles as the ice cream sundae comes out. There were candles on it as the entire place burst into song.
The cup brothers soon thought of a wish.
They wished to win ANH. Cuphead also wished to be a better brother to Mugman. They both blew out the candles before eating their sundae.
Meanwhile, Luke was with Lucy. Luke had been distant since the show ended.
"Luke, are you okay?" Leni asked.
"I'm up against lots of stiff competition this season! I'm under a lot of pressure to impress the fans!" Luke shouted.
"Why don't we go out tomorrow?" Leni asked.
"And do what?" Luke asked.
"Anything. Movies, massages, fashion shows, whatever makes you happy." Leni says to Luke. Luke sniffed.
She tries to comfort him. Luke looked at her.
"Poor Luke, he's always sad…" Leni says.
"Luke, what's the hardest thing you're dealing with right now?" Luan asked.
"It's either his birthday, Remy, or the show." Lucy says.
"Remy and the show." Lisa says. "He's conflicted about his feelings toward Remy right now and he's under pressure because of the show."
Oliver noticed Emma's birthday was tomorrow.
"Just go, Oliver. And don't count on me to be there." Luke says. "I can't deal with being around anyone but my own family right now."
Oliver leaves the manor.
