Chapter 2: Preparing for a Big Day
Three years have passed since Ash and Serena started dating. All of their friends, who had shipped the two for years, were very happy for them and were very supportive of them. Ash and Serena, now 20, were practically inseparable and had a strong love for one another and neither could live without each other. Together, they traveled to all the regions including Paldea, going on countless dates as well as Ash defending his Alola Champion and World Champion titles. No matter how hard anyone tried, Ash remained undefeated both times. Serena would always be there cheering for him no matter what. Ash even mentored his surrogate little brother Lei, the son of Kukui and Burnet, who was now 10 years old and having started his Pokemon journey. Lei had even come to view Serena as his big sister.
One day in his room, Ash, who was conveniently wearing the same clothes he wore on his first date with Serena three years ago, was sitting on his bed holding a PokeBall, and he was nervous. He was going to take the next step in his and Serena's relationship and since they were meeting at the park very soon, it was the perfect time. His phone dinged as he picked it up and it was a text from Serena. It read:
Hey, babe. Whenever you're ready ️
Ash smiled and texted:
On my way to pick you up. I'll be there soon. ️ ️
He said goodbye to Pikachu, who was aware of the plan. Pikachu gave Ash a thumbs up, wishing him good luck.
He got in his car and she got to the hotel she was staying at. She was wearing the same dress from three years ago. The two went to the park and held hands as they strolled through. They soon sat down on a bench with their hands intertwined and Serena's head on Ash's shoulder.
"Such a beautiful day, my love." said Serena.
"I couldn't agree more." replied Ash. "It's even better with you by my side."
Serena smiled at her boyfriend saying that. A few minutes later, Ash decides that it's time. The two got up and Ash took a deep breath and looked at his girlfriend. He took Serena's hands in his, a nervous but determined smile playing on his lips.
"Serena," he began, his voice filled with sincerity, "these past three years with you have been the best of my life. You've brought so much joy and love into my world, and I can't imagine my life without you."
Serena's eyes sparkled with anticipation, sensing that something special was about to happen.
He pulled out a PokeBall.
"I choose you!" said Ash who then pressed the button, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. He then got down one knee. Serena put her hands to her mouth and started to cry tears of joy.
Serena, will you make me the happiest person in the world and marry me?" Ash asked, his eyes locking onto hers.
Serena nodded vigorously. "Yes, Ash! A thousand times, yes!"
A radiant smile broke across Ash's face as he slipped the ring onto Serena's finger. They then kissed passionately, sealing the promise of a lifetime together. The park, once a backdrop to their shared memories, became the site of a moment that would forever hold a special place in their hearts.
As they basked in the glow of their engagement, Ash and Serena couldn't help but feel grateful for the journey that had brought them to this point. Both Delia and Grace cried tears of joy for their children and were extremely proud of them. Ash's longtime companions and former rivals congratulated him with wide smiles, expressing their joy at seeing their friend take this significant step. Former champions like Cynthia and Leon expressed their congratulations. Due to Ash's status as World Champion as well as Serena being Kalos Queen, the whole world knew about his wedding. Even former Team Rocket members Jessie, James and Meowth who have since turned over a new leaf, expressed their gratitude to their former enemy.
They decided to get married next year to give them time to prepare. Ash chose Gary as his best man, with Brock, Tracey, Cilan, Clemont, Kiawe, Sophocles, Gladion and Goh as his groomsmen and Lei as his ring bearer. Serena chose May as her maid of honor, with Misty, Dawn, Iris, Bonnie, Lana, Lillie, Mallow and Chloe as her bridesmaids and her Sylveon as her flower girl. Months before the wedding, Ash and Serena moved into a beautiful new house in Pallet Town.
Eventually, Ash had his bachelor party which was a lively and unforgettable event, a unique blend of Pokémon adventures and camaraderie. The celebration kicked off in Pallet Town, where the groom and his friends gathered for a day filled with laughter and memories.
The day began with a Pokémon battle tournament, featuring friendly matches between Ash, his Pokémon, and his closest friends. Pikachu, Charizard, and the rest of Ash's Pokémon showcased their skills in a series of exciting battles. Gary, Brock, Tracey, Max, Cilan, Clemont, Kiawe, Sophocles, Gladion, and Goh joined in the fun, each bringing their own Pokémon to the mix.
The battles were intense, but the atmosphere remained light-hearted and filled with friendly banter. Pikachu and Gary's Electivire engaged in a thrilling rematch, while Kiawe's Turtonator showcased its explosive moves against Gladion and Lillie the Nihilego.
After the battles, the group decided to take a break and enjoy a barbecue, with Brock and Cilan showcasing their culinary skills. The Pokémon and trainers shared stories of their adventures, reminiscing about the challenges they had overcome together. Laughter echoed through the air as they celebrated the bond that had brought them together.

The gifts ranged from quirky Pokémon-themed items to inside jokes that only true friends would understand. Soon Gary raised his glass, a mischievous glint in his eyes. The group fell silent, turning their attention to the charismatic best man.
"Alright, everyone, let's raise a toast to the man of the hour—Ash Ketchum!" Gary began, his voice filled with warmth and a touch of playful sarcasm. "To the guy who somehow managed to catch Serena's heart!"
Laughter and cheers erupted from the gathered friends as Ash blushed, a good-natured smile on his face.
"But in all seriousness," Gary continued, his tone becoming more heartfelt, "we've been through it all, from the first Gym battles to facing Legendary Pokémon. We've seen Ash grow not just as a trainer but as a person. And now, he's about to embark on his greatest adventure yet—marriage!"
The group clinked their glasses, the sound resonating in the night air.
"To Ash and Serena, may your journey together be filled with as much excitement, love, and Pokémon battles as the adventures we've shared!" Gary concluded, and the group echoed his sentiment with a resounding, "Cheers!"
As the laughter and cheers faded, Ash raised his own glass, gratitude in his eyes. "Thanks, Gary, and thanks to all of you. Here's to the best friends a Pokémon Master could ask for!"

While Ash was enjoying his bachelor party with his Pokémon and friends, Serena's bachelorette party was in full swing in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. Serena's closest friends, including Misty, May, Dawn, Iris, Bonnie, Lana, Lillie, Mallow and Chloe gathered to celebrate the upcoming wedding.
The bachelorette party kicked off with a glamorous Pokémon-themed fashion show, where Serena and her friends showcased their most dazzling outfits and performed elegant moves with their Pokémon partners. Delphox, Pancham and Sylveon joined in the fun, adding a touch of flair to the runway.
Following the fashion show, the group gathered for a lively dance party. Serena's Pancham, with its natural sense of rhythm, led the way, and soon everyone was dancing to the beat of the music. The atmosphere was filled with joy and the anticipation of Serena's new chapter in life.
As the night progressed, the party moved to a cozy venue decorated with fairy lights and Pokémon-themed decorations. The girls shared stories about their own experiences in the world of Pokémon, offering advice and laughter as they reminisced about their journeys.
Bonnie organized a Pokémon talent show where each Pokémon showcased its unique abilities. From dazzling moves to adorable tricks, the Pokémon stole the spotlight and added an extra layer of charm to the celebration.
Iris, with her Dragon-type Pokémon, shared tales of her adventures in the Unova region, captivating everyone with stories of legendary Pokémon and ancient ruins. The mix of experiences from different regions added a colorful tapestry to the evening.
The bachelorette party reached its peak when Serena's friends presented her with a heartfelt scrapbook filled with memories from their adventures together. It was a token of their friendship and a reminder of the bond they shared.

"Hey everyone! Let's give it up for the fabulous Serena!" May exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. "Today is all about celebrating the amazing journey she's had, not just as a Pokémon Performer and Coordinator but as a friend and, soon, as a wife!"
Cheers and applause erupted from the group as Serena blushed, touched by the sentiment.
May continued, "I've known Serena since our days in Hoenn, and let me tell you, she's always had that spark, that glimmer of stardust that makes her shine. And now, she's found someone who appreciates that sparkle just as much as we do—Ash Ketchum!"
The room echoed with cheers for the soon-to-be-married couple.
"But let's not forget what makes Serena so special," May added with a mischievous grin. "It's not just her performances; it's her resilience, her kindness, and that fierce determination to be the best at whatever she sets her mind to. And Ash better be ready for a lifetime of sparkle and pizzazz!"
Laughter filled the room as Serena playfully nudged May, a smile spreading across her face.
"To Serena, who's about to embark on the greatest performance of her life—marriage!" May declared, raising her glass high.
The group joined in, clinking their glasses and offering heartfelt cheers of "To Serena!"
