Sorry it's been a while. Life's been busy and I was also working on a novel I hope to publish. I wanted to write one more chapter but I figured I kept you waiting long enough.
special thanks to YamiChaos27, TheGoodandtheBadXBOY, and Aquastormfall for helping me write this.
I don't own Kingdom Hearts and/or Disney.

JASON'S POV
Arendelle
Yope 3, 92 KA…
"So sad, isn't it?" A new voice asked. My eyes widened as I went on my guard. Something told me things were about to get bad around here. I could see the others looking around for the source of the voice too.
Holding her Keyblade up, Aurora asked, "Who's there?" Her answer came in the form of a surprise kick that sent her backward. Turning, we saw that Jezebel was standing there. The orange-haired girl had an indifferent look on her face as she looked at us.
With a growl, I moved to retaliate– whoa! My feet were suddenly stuck to the ground. "What?" I asked as I struggled to break free. It was like someone froze them in place and nothing I did could break free.
"Don't bother." Another voice spoke up. "You're not going anywhere." I could hear the trolls gasping at what was happening. "We finally have some entertainment." I recognized the speaker as Robert and looked up to see him blowing Eini away with some air. As she crashed into the wall, I heard her curse from the impact.
Then a third speaker spoke up. "A pity Mortem isn't here. That would make this so satisfying." That voice belonged to Isabel. That means three of Madsane's Thirteen are here. Gritting my teeth, I continued to struggle to free myself as I looked down to see what was wrong. Whoa! My feet were frozen with ice! When did that–
"So the bookworm really isn't with you," Jezebel shook her head as she mentioned my cousin. "This is going to be such a pain to find her."
"Thanks to Madsane we have no idea where she is," I growled at them. "But if you think I'm going to let you–"
"Santos is not going to like that, but in my opinion, he can do so much better than a half-breed."
"Tell him for me that I'm going to make him regret it if he ever lays another finger on her!"
Kristoff then asked, "Who are these people?" He looked ready to go on the defensive.
"They're the real enemies!" Braxton frowned at them. "Their leader is the one who orchestrated Mortem's actions to steal the hearts!" Those words caused Elsa's eyes to widen as she looked at the three of them.
"Still trying to paint them as the bad guys, Downtrod sympathizer?" Ross frowned at his brother. Despite Braxton arguing with them that what he said was the truth they just dismissed him. I found myself glaring at the two of them in disbelief. Are they really too deluded to comprehend what was happening?
Robert looked at the brothers. "Loyal to Madsane, is that right?" A smirk appeared on his face as he spoke. "This is gonna be interesting."
I didn't like the sound of that. Whatever he was planning now had to be bad. "You need to run," I tried to warn them.
Scott just glared at me. "No, we don't. They're here to help."
How in Gri's name did he reach that conclusion? He just saw them knock Aurora and Eini away! How was that helping?
The others began to play off of this. "Yeller will give you a comfortable shelter if you come with us," Jezebel promised in an innocent manner.
"Will he help us find our lost family?" Ross asked her eagerly.
"Of course. Yeller always has a solution."
"Don't listen to them!" Braxton called out. "They're lying!"
"They're the liars. What reason has anyone for listening to the Norman tool?" Robert asked.
To our surprise, Scott raised an eyebrow. "Wait. Norman? I thought Yeller said Jason had died."
The model student tried to drive it home. "They've been lying to you, Scott. This is Jason!"
"He's just some Downtrod imposter!" Jezebel quickly fixed the situation before glaring at Robert. So making people believe I was a fake was Madsane's scheme, and he almost ruined it. "Do your thing." With that, he began pulling at the air. What the? Why was I coughing? And why was it harder to breathe? I reached up to my throat. Air... I need air… The air was getting too thin for me to struggle in.
"What's the matter? Got no more retorts now that you are losing your breath?" Clair's rival taunted me with a smirk. "To think that Madsane thought you were a threat. Not going to be very threatening now, are you?"
The air was too thin now… I couldn't struggle to break free anymore. My world was starting to go black, and my limbs were getting harder to move. Was… was this how it was going to end? Was I going to suffocate to death?
Wait. I could breathe again! Sucking in the precious life-giving air I ended up coughing violently while I looked to see what had happened. Whoa. Aurora was attacking Robert, and he seemed to actually be flipping around her to avoid her attacks. As my vision returned to normal, I could see that he staggered, turning his attention towards Aurora as he had to defend himself from another incoming strike.
"Pressure Push!" The elite clone pushed a gust of wind from his palm that blew the Morugan girl back from him. However, she managed to land on her feet not too far away. Guess her training with Tifa was also paying off.
"I always knew you were full of hot air, but I didn't expect this," Aurora told him. Wait. Did she actually crack a joke just now? I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
Robert just narrowed his eyes at that. Balling his hand into a fist, he called out, "Wind Rush!" He then punched the air, causing a big gust to come at her. The purple-haired girl wasn't able to react in time and was sent flying back until she landed on a troll. "There's nothing to hold me down now! Now I can finally claim what I rightfully deserve!" Turning to Elsa, he said, "I think I'll start with your kingdom."
"Shouldn't it be queendom, since she is a queen?" Eini asked. "I just want to make sure I get my terms--" Her thoughts were cut off as suddenly her mouth was frozen over.
Shaking her orange hair, Jezebel snapped, "Shut it. We don't care about politically correct terms now."
Elsa, upon realizing the gravity of the situation, narrowed her eyes. "I am the queen of Arendelle, and I will defend my people with all my power." With that, she caused several ice daggers to form that forced the trio to dodge. With a wave of her hand, the ice around my feet and Eini's mouth vanished.
I stumbled upon being freed while Eini took a breath of air. She then popped out the two parts of her staff and fused them together, spinning her weapon around before holding it before her ready for battle. Jezebel frowned at the sight as she got back to her feet. "So the rich girl wants to fight, huh?"
"I think this luxury is much better than ever wearing anything like your parachute pants," The blonde cyborg smirked.
Frowning, the three loyalists of Madsane prepared to strike back. However, something unexpected happened.
"Dark Wave!"
Before they could react the attack hit the trio and knocked them back against the wall. Looking up, I saw Mortem leaping down into the gorge with Leroy close by. "I finally found you cowards."
"It was a strategic retreat."
"Do I look like I care? You ran away just because you realized you were out of your league."
I did a double-take. "What do you mean?"
"They're pathetically weak. Honestly, it's no wonder these losers have to rely on their science and technology to get anything done or resort to tricking people into thinking they're saviors just to have people worship them."
"That's rich, coming from you." Isabel snapped. "You act so high and mighty, and yet you insist on being some lone vigilante. And you're still collecting the hearts despite your hate for us. You're essentially still working with us."
The dark warrior scowled at her. "Any alliance we had before is done! As far as I'm concerned you're not even worthy of target practice."
"Then target this. Hidden Piercing!"As soon as Isabel called out that attack Mortem grunted as a sliver of shadow protruded from his chest. However, it didn't seem to phase him. Instead, he just pulled it out and crushed it.
"Just like the rest of them: All bark and no bite. It's a wonder Harthyrn even had a stable government being run by such weaklings."
"How dare you!" With that, Robert moved his hand around. "Let's see you mouth off without any air in my Void Space."
My rival quickly started coughing. That must've been what he did to me when I nearly suffocated. Narrowing my eyes I rushed forward to the jerk with— gah! A fireball caught me in the chest. Wait.
Smirking Jezebel asked, "You can play with me. I'll roast or freeze you."
Did she throw that? It… didn't hurt as much as I thought it would
I glanced back at Mortem, watching him struggle just to breathe. Soon it looked as though he was reaching out his palm as if begging for this to stop. This was quickly proven false when a black hole appeared in his held-out palm, which then pulled Robert towards him. As soon as he made contact with the black hole, he was subjugated to a constant electric shock. "You like torture?" Mortem asked irritatedly. "Here's some back tenfold!" Apparently, the dark Keyblade wielder really doesn't like being tortured.
As the arrogant guy got an experience he wouldn't forget tendrils of shadows appeared behind Mortem. Quickly I fired a couple of Fire and Blizzard spells to knock them away. While Mortem turned to see who tried an underhanded tactic some tendrils erupted from my shadow and seized my arms and legs. "Stay out of this, you grubock. This is between me and him!" Isabel spat at me.
"And what are we? Garbage?" Eini asked as she whacked the pink-haired girl with her staff. That action took the focus off me, and the tendrils vanished. Strange. I hardly felt them. Just what was going on?
"Freezer Burn." Jezebel's attack then hit Mortem from behind, causing the dark Keyblade bearer to drop the jock. "Yeah, surprise. I can use two elements instead of one. My ice is so cold it burns, or my fire is so hot it freezes."
"You know that makes no sense right?" Eini raised an eyebrow, only to get hit by a combo Blizzard and Fire spell.
As the redhead turned to glare at her, he snarled, "So? Is that supposed to make you special? I hardly felt anything from your pathetic attack. Your powers are nothing compared to mine."
"Madsane made sure we got the most important boosters to our powers–"
"Boosters? Do you mean you just used every relic you could get your hands on without training? That explains why you are all so weak. You've done nothing to master your abilities. You haven't put in the sweat, blood, or tears to master the abilities or make them yours. You have no right or claim to your powers. You're phonies, frauds, charlatans! Your cheats can never gain you the skill that comes from experience" With that, dark energy began to gather around him. Something about this darkness seemed different from what we were used to.
Cheering then came from the side, but not for us. "Come on, Robert. Show them how Madsane's science saves lives!" Scott called out to them.
"You guys are in the right. That alone will make you stronger than that monster."
Frowning, I turned to face them. "Are you two incapable of looking with your own eyes?"
"Shut it, you fake. We're taking the side we know to–"
"UUUUGGGGHHH!" Mortem groaned…awfully loudly. "Spare me your stupidity! The last thing I need is having to listen to morons supporting that treacherous doctor!"
Scott then snapped. "You weren't there to see what good he's done for our world. He exposed the Morugan Treachery when they were going to use the kaiju as weapons of war. He's kept us safe from those monsters for years now!"
"That's right. Not to mention perfecting cloning to restore the human population. Where we're from we're classified as an endangered species and his actions are all that's keeping us from extinction." Despite hearing those words from Ross's mouth there was something else. Was that a sliver of doubt in his voice?
Mortem growled. "Well, aren't you two just a pair of ignorant pawns, willing to believe anything their higher ups tell them just like that, never bothering to question the legitimacy of their claims. All just because they're your government, because they're heroes and protectors to you. Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but governments don't always tell the truth! They usually have some kind of skeleton in their closet that they don't want the public to know about, and are willing to do or say anything to cover it up. Like how Madsane and his followers lied about Jason and Claire to cover their schemes!"
"Oh, like your hands are clean? You're just trying to steal Elsa's heart for your own selfish gain." Jezebel snapped as she readied herself.
Mortem seemed to pause in thought for a moment, before he shook his head. "I need the seven pure hearts to recover my memories. I never claimed my reasons weren't selfish. Besides, I know Madsane wants them too, and I refuse to allow my number one enemy to gain another asset! And mark my words, he will PAY for using me like a DAMN PAWN! See, at least I'm honest about my intentions, unlike you guys."
Isabel then growled, "Nether Whips!" With that, black tendrils erupted from the shadows that whipped across Mortem and Leroy. The girl smiled for a second. "Guess experience wasn't enough to—"
With a roar the dark warrior blasted her attack to nothing with his own darkness. The three tried to counterattack but he left them no room. From his darkness came a lot of Wild Bruisers that ran to Madsane's loyalists. The three tried to fight them off, but there were just too many. The three quickly found themselves underneath a mountain of those Unversed.
He then turned back to Scott and Ross. "Tell me! What PROOF do you have that these losers are the ones telling the truth here?! How do you know they're not just MANIPULATING you into turning against your own kin?! What PROOF do you have that Madsane's claims that Jason and Claire are dead are legitimate?! You've gotta be PRETTY STUPID to believe their obvious lies when the proof of their deception is RIGHT! IN! FRONT OF YOU!"
"HUH-ROOOOAAARRRR!"
My blood froze upon hearing that roar, and even the others from Harthyn became afraid as we all recognized it. I could see Elsa and the trolls looking around in confusion while Olaf noticed something in the distance. "Hey, uh, I think that mountain just moved."
That caused us to look in the direction he pointed, and my fears were realized. "That's no mountain," Braxton said. "It's Cryopelta."
"Okay. Uh, what's a Cryopelta?"
"Long story short, we're dead," Ross answered the snowman. "Cryopelta will kill us with his mere presence.
MORTEM'S POV
Cryopelta? Is that what it was called? Still, it was interesting that one of the kaiju survived the destruction of their world. Sheets of ice decorated its hide like white crystalline fur, and it lumbered along on four stubby legs. Despite its ridiculous limbs, its head was terrifying. It was like a combination of a hellish pig with a hippopotamus with a trio of frozen humps on its back.
As the mist that came from the gargantuan started to move towards us, I noticed the three losers had managed to free themselves from my Unversed and began opening dark corridors. "And where do you think you're going?"
"We're getting out of here, duh. We'll leave you to freeze to death just by seeing that kaiju." The pink-haired girl who tried to seduce me long ago said as the three of them vanished.
Growling at their cowardice, I turned to face the titanic beast. If it really was intending to kill us, this will definitely be a pain. I could just leave, as this thing had nothing to do with me. But with the Princess of Heart right there, plus the closest thing to a worthy opponent I have, even if he lost his Keyblade, I wasn't gonna let them perish. I was sure Leroy would aid me, but the others looked scared out of their minds. More cowards.
I transformed my Keyblade into its hoverbike form and me and Leroy hopped on. "You think your size scares me?! You've got another thing coming!"
"Mortem, wait!" I ignored Jason as I sped towards the monster. From my glider I began firing blasts from the canon at the creature. To my surprise the attacks were extinguished before they hit. And why was I starting to shiver uncontrollably?
Teeth chattering filled my ears as I turned to check on Leroy. The little fur ball was looking like someone had left him in a freezer, and— whoa! My glider was starting to freeze over! But the only thing we did was…
Ugh! Out of nowhere that idiot appeared and tackled us off my glider. As we fell a snowbank appeared and cushioned our landing. As soon as we were back on the ground I glared at him. "What the hell—"
"You can't get too close to Cryopelta! He causes the temperature around him to drop down. Entire cities were frozen solid just because he walked through them!" He quickly explained.
Shaking the snow off him, Leroy added, "He's right. It felt like our temperature was already at negative fifteen degrees Fahrenheit and dropping. If we got any closer it would have reached negative forty-six."
That explains why my glider started freezing. I growled as I gathered a lot of darkness. "Then let's try turning up the heat!" I then summon a large Unversed that I hadn't summoned since the Cave of Wonders, the Inferno Djinn.
As the monster appeared I found myself doing a double-take. The Inferno Djinn was the second-largest Unversed I had ever created, and it was still dwarfed by the monster! I grunted in frustration but nonetheless I willed the Djinn to conjure a fusillade of fireballs.
My Unversed did as it was commanded, conjuring the attacks and unleashing them upon the kaiju. Yes! The attacks made direct contact and… barely even started melting a hole in that hide?! The monster just huffed like it was disappointed, and opened its huge mouth. While observing the huge tusk-like teeth a gale of snow and ice erupted from within the beast.
The cold! It was so intense. To my shock the Inferno Djinn was frozen solid instantly, and plummeted to the ground. As it crashed against the rocks the Unversed shattered, the darkness returning to me. The process felt like I was being stabbed by icicles everywhere.
"Any other ideas?" The blonde girl with poor fashion tastes asked.
Leroy had one. "Maybe you could recreate the Unversed from Jason's—"
"No!" He and I both shot down the idea. I was surprised that we were in agreement for once
Clearing my throat, I said, "What I mean is I'd rather consider any and all possible routes to victory. And that route is certain to spiral out of control." I didn't want them to think I was going soft because I wasn't.
With a roar the monster began to move toward us, but was stopped as a sheet of ice appeared before it. The wall continued to grow until it was as big as a glacier. "Could you two hurry up with whatever it is you're planning?" The snowman called out to us.
Shaking my head, I turned to Jason. "So how was this thing stopped before?"
"On average, Cryopelta has a certain territory range he can travel. He can't stand warmer climates." Jason explained. "Unfortunately, this world is perfect for him. Which leaves relying on another kaiju to fight him."
"You plan on summoning one?"
"No."
As he stood there in thought, I began to weigh my own options. The only thing I have that I haven't tried yet is that freaky mutation I used against Jason's berserk state. But…how much help would that be in a situation like this. Even if I am stronger in that state, we're still dealing with a monster the size of a mountain that can passively freeze anyone who gets too close. Maybe it would help me break any ice that gets on me through sheer force? I'm no scientist, so I don't know how this beast's freezing powers work. Plus there's the possibility of losing control like it almost happened on Harthyrn, and if that ice queen got caught up in my rampage, I could lose one of the pure hearts and would then have to spend who knows how long searching for her replacement.
Speaking of the ice queen, I then began to wonder if maybe her own ice powers would help her resist the kaiju's freezing field. But just because she's more resistant to the cold doesn't necessarily mean she's immune to it. Plus, I'm not sure this is a situation where fighting fire with fire, or in this case, ice with ice is a viable strategy. Again, she would be at risk.
Ugh! This whole situation is incredibly frustrating! I have half a mind to just take the Princess of Heart and get the hell out of dodge. Yet…why can't I bring myself to do that?
The monster broke through the ice wall with ease and began moving our way. As it roared I felt my Keyblade react. Before I knew it the three of us were sitting in a type of cart train with an engine speeding toward Cryopelta! What the devil was going on?
The beast's eyes seemed to narrow as it saw us and breathed a blizzard breath at us to freeze us. I braced myself to become a popsicle… hold on. Looking up, I saw some type of barrier around us that was keeping the attack from hurting us. Jason was just looking around trying to make sense. "What in Gri's name is going on?"
Something then came to my mind. "Attraction flow. Don't ask me why it's called that. I don't know. All I know is it's a type of magic. Something deeply connected to the existence of all worlds. And it appears to be our solution to our problem."
"Then let's see what this thing can do!" He sounded eager to try this thing out, and Leroy started laughing in anticipation.
I looked at what I assumed were the train's controls. Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever done this before. This Attraction thing certainly didn't feel familiar to me. I found a button that had a…symbol that's typically used to say 'hit', I don't know what they call that. But I decided to hit the button, and a volley of fireworks erupted from the smokestack and rocketed toward the monster.
The attack blasted the monster, and I swear I saw some health deplete from the thing. A smile broke out on my face. Now we had a way to hurt this thing. As the train began to speed up, I pushed the button again and again, doing more damage to the monster. I'm not going to lie, this was actually kind of fun.
With a roar, Cryopelta began to turn and face us, but it wasn't moving that fast. Hey, that must be a weakness of this beast. It has so much armor and defense that it's lost its speed. Usually, the larger and heavier something is, the slower it moves, right? Not that it matters given how much distance a single step could take. Still, slow movement, and possibly slow reaction, could be taken advantage of. Let's see if I can alter this train's course.
There was a handle on the controls, so I tilted it forward. Yes! This thing controlled the direction this ride moved, and now we were going down as if on a roller coaster. I smiled as I worked the stick so the cart train moved underneath the kaiju, with Leroy urging me to push the button. I did, and the fireworks erupted on the side of the monster while we moved underneath it.
It's working! I could see the health of this beast was being depleted in chunks. The underside must be its weak spot, the area that is more vulnerable to attack, unlike the rest of it. I let out some chuckles as I relished this feeling. Trains and fireworks aren't usually my style, but I had to admit, I was having a blast with this ability. It opened the door to so many possibilities. Right now, I was going to enjoy just shooting fireworks at this oversized killer hippo.
As we came out from underneath it, I tilted the stick back so we climbed up, and never stopped firing at the creature. Cryopelta roared as its fur stiffed, and then fired at us like daggers. However, the barrier appeared around us again, keeping us from taking any damage. My hand instinctively twisted the stick, and we started actually doing a barrel roll.
In a roar of rage, the kaiju twisted itself around trying to get at us. Instinctively, I pressed the button as much as I could, sending volley after volley of fireworks into its gaping jaws. That did some serious damage as its health went down in my eyes. It was almost beaten. We could do this. Just one more had to do it…
Then the ride went crazy. It stopped… and started going backward! As it spun around on the loop-de-loops it fired an insane amount of fireworks at the monster resulting in a series of major explosions. Then, the ride vanished and the three of us were back on the ground a good ways away from the kaiju.
Cryopelta glared at us with intense hate like it wanted us to spontaneously combust. It raised a foot to take a step…
And then collapsed on the ground
