Nov. 26, I will be out of commision for about a month, so there will be no chapters until I can use my right arm again. I will be picking it up again after the new year unless I'm given the "all clear" from my doctor. Please enjoy.

Several hours into the fight with the Saurians and the Plutarkian, I had been getting pissed every time a hockey player went down. I was to the point that I was going to go in for the kill and be done.

Nosedive saw how pissed I was getting, so he ran over to me. "You ok, Mike?"

I looked at him and shook my head no. "I'm tired of watching everyone get killed. I'm going to end this now. No one else needs to die today." Then I ran into the big fight with my knife in my left hand and Sig in my right hand. I have other weapons on me, but I hope I don't have to use them. A knife and gun should be enough to take them out.

I took a flying leap at Dragonus and landed my knife right in his neck. I didn't leave it there. I sliced all the way down his back. You could see the blood spilling out by the gallons. Everyone stopped cold when they saw the blood all over the ground.

I looked at the Plutarkian and smiled. He didn't like how I smiled. He started shaking in fear. I raised my Sig at him and emptied the clip into him. I reloaded and emptied the second clip into him just to make sure he was dead. I had plenty of ammo, so I wasn't worried about running out.

I turned towards the 3 under Dragonus' command, and started shooting them. I nailed them each in the head. Instant kill shots. I walked up to them then stood over their dead bodies. I kicked them to make sure they were dead.

I turned around and yelled, "Today we got justice for our fellow hockey players!"

Those that were still alive, yelled and cheered. Nosedive walked up to me and hugged me.

I laughed a bit. "You're quite welcome, Dive."

Everyone walked over to me and offered their hands. They all knew I had been close to the team. The Blackhawks all said 'welcome to the team' to me and Nosedive.

"Thanks everyone. I'm sorry for those that didn't make it. Let's all take a 5 min. bow of silence for those we lost today." Then we all bowed our heads in silence.

Nosedive and I arrived back at the Pond about an hour after we all cleaned up the mess we left from the fight. All the other hockey players went back to their perspective cities after helping with the clean-up.

We had thanked everyone before we left. Nosedive had me fly the Aerowing back to the Pond cause he was so emotional. I couldn't blame him. I was too, but I held it together 'til we got back to the Pond.

After I had landed the Aerowing in the underground base under the Pond, we disembarked and walked into the base. I noticed that Nosedive hadn't said a word the whole flight back. He went straight for his brother's room. I followed him to make sure he was ok.

"Hey Dive. Wait up."

He stopped and turned around. He had the saddest look on his face. That look reminded me of Throttle when Vinnie died.

"You ok?"

"Not really, but in time I will be. Before we headed out to get justice for my bro and friends, you had asked me about being part of the Martian Mouse family."

"Yeah, I did ask you. I know you said you wanted to think about it."

"And I have thought about it."

"What's your answer?"

"I'd love to be part of your family, Mike."

"That's great, Dive. Both Throttle and I had a feeling that you would say yes to the idea of being part of our family. I think Wildwing would agree, too."

"I think he would, too. I've looked up to you and thought of you like a sister."

"Your bro told me that. I've thought of you as a little brother, myself."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Before I met the Biker Mice, I had no family left. I moved from Cali to Chicago after my own brother passed away."

"Older brother?"

"Yeah. I'm the last of the Montana family."

"What about your parents?"

"Both dead."

"Oh. I'm sorry."

I smiled. "Thanks. What about your parents?"

"Same."

"Guess we're both in the same boat. Last of our immediate families."

"Now I have a new family."

"Yep. What's gonna happen with the Pond and everything here?"

"Haven't thought about that. I suppose we could use it for practices during the spring and summer."

"If the NHL or the city doesn't do something with it, we could do that."

"My bro had given lifetime tickets to the Anaheim Governor when he gave us the stadium for free. I can give him a call and let him know what happened and if we can still use the Pond for off season practices."

"Are you up to it, though? I can do it for you."

"Let me dial the number then. Probably be easier for you than me, and if he talked with our manager, then we have a better chance at keeping it."

"Very true. Wildwing didn't give you enough credit. You're pretty smart."

"I learned a lot from him and the team."

"I'm glad." Then I pulled out my cell phone and handed it over to Nosedive. He dialed the number to the Anaheim governor.

After he dialed the number, hit send then handed it back to me.

"What's his name?"

"Steve Johnson."

The Governor's office. This governor is different than any other. He answers the phone himself instead of having a secretary.

"Hello? Governor Johnson speaking."

"Hello governor Johnson. My name is Michelle Thornboy. I'm the Mighty Ducks manager."

"How can I help you, Mrs. Thornboy?"

"I just wanted to let you know that the whole team, except for Nosedive, is no longer with us. They were killed while on the road to their next game. I know you gave them the stadium for free and in trade, the captain gave you lifetime tickets to their games."

"I'm sorry to hear that. You and Nosedive can still keep the stadium. Use it as you feel. What is he going to do now?"

"The Blackhawks offered him a spot on their team. I have also been offered a job with the Blackhawks as their new manager. We plan to use the Pond for spring and summer practices and maybe use it for championship games."

"I wish you both luck on your new team and using the Duck Pond as neutral ground for championship games is a good idea."

"Thank you, sir and thank you for allowing us to keep the Duck Pond. Nosedive will be happy to hear that."

"You're welcome, Mrs. Thornboy. Have a nice day."

"You too, sir." Then I hung up.

After I put my phone away, I told Nosedive the good news.

"We get to keep it? That's great!"

"Yep. He also wishes us luck with the Blackhawks."

"Why did you tell him that they were killed on the road to the next game? Why not tell him the truth?"

"You really think he would believe that they were killed fighting dinos and fish?"

"Good point. Now what?"

"Now, we head to my place up near the Oregon border."

"Are there any colleges up there, by chance? I had thought about going to college."

"I think there is. What were you thinking about studying?"

"Not sure yet. Maybe something in sports medicine."

"That would be cool. We'll have to see what colleges are up there."

"How are we getting up there?"

"Use the Migrator, I would assume."

"Its been down for a month. The team took their bikes."

"I can fix the Migrator, no problem."

"That's right, you always came to tinker with the weapons on it."

"Yep. Wanna give me a hand?"

"Sure."
