The very next day, Kim and Ron were riding around LA in another one of Britina's cars, a white 2002 Dodge Viper GTS. While driving, they were discussing the night before. "I can't believe Britina wasn't tweaked at you when you told her her car got destroyed." Ron said, while Kim just smiled, wearing her white crop top with pink heart, pink pants and her hair was in a ponytail. "I always thought celebrities only played nice and sweet for the camera.
"Not if you know Britina." Kim smirked. "She loans her cars to get destroyed for big movies or music videos most of the time." She then heard the Kimmunicator beep, so Kim placed it on the dashboard and answered it. "Sitch me."
"I ran a background search on Dominic Torretto, and found some interesting stuff." Wade said, already displaying it to Kim. "Apparently, he's the son of Jack Torretto."
Kim's eyes widened as she had known that name. "The stock car driver?" she asked. Whenever she was bonding with her father, Kim would watch NASCAR races with him, and they would talk about the different drivers. James sometimes mentions the name Jack Torretto. Kim was surprised that Dom was related to a famous NASCAR racer, but not as surprised as Ron who gasped.
"You're kidding me! We have a villain who is related to one of the true racing greats?!" Ron asked, almost ready to pass out in the car seat as Rufus remained speechless.
"That's right!" Wade smirked. "Jack Torretto won three cups during his run, but during his final race, he tragically bit the dust." Kim gulped, feeling sorry for Dom. She couldn't imagine growing up without a dad. "And apparently, Dom's grief got truly physical. He socked the driver who supposedly killed him with a wrench. And let me tell you, NASCAR was not happy about it. Banned him from the tracks for life."
"OK, see? Now we have motivation." Ron smirked while Kim rolled her eyes. "Apparently being banned from racing ate him up, so he resorted to street racing. Then, a certain bad, monster truck loving guy with a mullet hears about him and recruits him for his evil scheme."
"OK, before I tell you how messed up that is, we need to focus on the alternatives first." Kim gritted her teeth.
"Well, I haven't found anything for Lance or Tran, but I'll keep looking." Wade promised.
"Please and thank you." Kim smiled before turning the Kimmunicator off.
"Hey, can we stop by Bueno Nacho for a bit? I'm hungry." Ron smiled while Rufus whined.
"Uh huh! Hungry!" Rufus whined.
"Later. First we need to meet up with Brian to discuss how we're gonna win more of Dom's trust." Kim said before hearing a police siren. She gasped and gulped with terror. She then tried to calm down as she shuddered with terror. "OK…don't lose your cool. Everything is gonna be fine. Don't freak out."
"Kim?" Ron asked, concerned. "Are you OK?"
"OK?! I'M TEN SECONDS FROM GETTING ARRESTED, LOSING MY LICENSE AND GETTING GROUNDED FOR LIFE!" Kim exclaimed worriedly, concerning Ron and Rufus more. She then stopped the car and nervously stepped out with Ron. They complied with the officers instructions. "What'd we do?"
"Shut up." the first officer said as they handcuffed both teen heroes and placed then into the squad car.
Later, the squad car arrived at a house where Brian was waiting for them. Once he saw Kim shaking with terror once she got out, Brian approached the two officers. "Whoa, whoa! I told you to bring them here! Not cuff them!" Brian said, making Kim breathe a sigh of relief as the first officer removed the cuffs.
"Dude, you were punking us?" Ron asked with a relieved smile as he was now free. He then laughed. "That was so funny! Man, you should have seen Kim's face…" Ron then noticed Kim's glare and immediately stopped. "Sorry."
"I'm sorry about that, but I had to be careful. I was worried that someone from Motor Ed's team would spot us." Brian said.
"No big, Brian. But, you know, Wade pretty much has the world wired. He would spot Motor Ed coming before you did." Kim smiled.
"Right. Anyway, this is my boss, Sergeant Tanner. Sergeant, I believe you know Miss Possible and Mr. Stoppable." Brian smiled, making Ron smile bigger as he was glad someone still remembered his name.
"Welcome to LA. We're very honored to have you help us supplement this investigation." Tanner said as he shook Kim's hand.
"No big." Kim smiled as Tanner and Brian led Kim and Ron into the house. "Wow, this is a pretty sweet crib."
"Ain't it? MC Honey bought this as her third house. But she allowed us to use it as our HQ while she's touring in Europe." Tanner smiled as they entered the patio.
"Wow. Even the cops are Hollywood in Hollywood." Ron smiled as they saw many people answering phones, taking tips, and drawing out maps.
"Miss Possible, this is Special Agent Bilkins of the FBI." Tanner said.
"Wow, didn't know the FBI was so interested in a freak with a mullet." Kim smirked and giggled a bit, but Bilkins just glared at her.
"Watch it, Missy. The only reason I'm here is because I'm worried about this crime becoming even more violent." Bilkins scolded before glancing at Brian. "And you, that was an $80,000 vehicle, officer."
"Hey, why don't you send the bill to Johnny Tran and his goons?" Brian shot back.
"Whoa, whoa. No need to tussel." Kim said. "Can I have some coffee please?"
A few moments later, Kim, Ron, Brian, Tanner, and Bilkins were discussing the investigation, trying to figure out what Motor Ed's motive is and who his new crew was. "Four months, two robberies, and we still don't have anything." Bilkins said as Kim and Brian sipped their coffees. "You know, DVD players and digital cameras alone are worth two million dollars."
"With all due respect, I don't believe that Motor Ed is the type of guy who basically resells stuff." Kim said, standing up. "He usually likes to cause random destruction with monster trucks. We just don't know what he's planning…yet."
"Well whatever it is, it's all in the political crosshairs now," Tanner said. "That's why the FBI and Global Justice are supplementing this as well."
"What does the truck driver say?" asked Brian.
"It's all the same M.O. Three Honda Civics, precision driving, the same green neon glow from under the chassis. And of course, a guy with a mullet who does air guitar solos was leading them, taking the truck for himself." Tanner explained.
Just then, the Kimmunicator beeped and Kim answered it. "Go Wade." she said.
"I got an update on the case: one of my online friends found Motor Ed's laptop in New Jersey. He thought he erased everything, but luckily, he didn't reformulate the harddrive." Wade smiled before showing the team some of the websites Motor Ed has been to. "Apparently, Motor Ed has been spending a lot of time in online chat forums dedicated to street racing. He was asking about the same types of cars. Apparently, his longest conversation was with some dude named FF126."
"You know who he is?" Brian asked.
"Not really. Non traceable email or phone number. And he practically left the chat right when Motor Ed went to LA." Wade informed.
"Look, if we don't find out who these goons are soon, truck drivers are gonna start arming themselves. And clearly that's a violent situation no one wants to be part of." Bilikin said with a serious face.
"I'll do more research and contact you with any possible leads." Wade informed.
"Thanks Wade." Kim said before turning the Kimmunicator off. "OK, let's try to review what we know. Clearly the LA street racing scene is Dom's territory, but even with his record, there's no way he could be an accomplice to a super villain."
"Exactly, but he probably knows someone who is." Brian said.
"Just get me something so you can take down that mullet guy." Bilkins said.
"We'll do our best." Kim promised before they left the house.
"So, what do you think, Kim?" Brian asked.
"Well, I get that Dom has a criminal history, but I just don't feel like he's a real villain. Sure, he's big and tough, but he doesn't seem too dangerous." Kim said. "Shego, she's dangerous because of her flaming fists. Gil, he's dangerous because he's a mutant."
"Please don't remind me of him." Ron shuddered, flashing back to his days at Camp Wannaweep.
"Listen Miss Possible, I understand you're just a kid and that you see the good in people, but in case you haven't heard, Toretto did hard time for beating a guy with a socket wrench. Sure, it's not like stealing a laser drill or trying to control the minds of senior citizens, but a crime is a crime nonetheless." Tanner said. "He's got nitrous oxide in his blood and a gas tank for a brain. If that doesn't make a villain, then I don't know what will. Don't turn your back on him."
Kim nodded curtly before leaving with Ron in tow. "I just wish I knew what Motor Ed wanted with a bunch of cameras and dvd players." she muttered.
Meanwhile, in a quiet and abandoned part of LA, Motor Ed's usual henchmen have set up shop in an abandoned garage. Clearly the perfect place for a new secret lair. The henchmen then took the stolen electronics and tossed them into a melting pot. Then, they molded the melted metal into various frames for a motor vehicle. They then started to assemble the parts onto what was starting to take shape as a giant monster truck; clearly even way bigger than the ones you usually see at a demolition derby. It could even reach the clouds. All the while, Motor Ed was watching his crew build his new evil plan.
"Dudes, be careful when fitting that. She needs to settle before she can fully awaken with life! Seriously, I mean it." Motor Ed ordered before his second in command approached him.
"Yo boss, did you find the last piece of our totally rad puzzle yet?" the second in command asked with an evil smile.
"No, not yet. But it's out there! Seriously, I know it!" Motor Ed smiled before doing an air guitar solo then he jumped into an office chair and pulled up an electronics website on his computer. He then clicked on a brand new chrome DVD player that was the most expensive product on the site. "It has to be on one of the trucks. And I know sooner or later that me and my backup crew will find it, then, she'll be complete. Seriously, she will."
"I know she will! Too bad we have to off our new back up crew when the job's finished." the second in command said.
"HEY! Don't feel bad!" Motor Ed warned. "Being sad is so bogus! Seriously, it is. All that matter is her." He then turned to his project. "When she's finished, I'll finish what we started, and like, seriously crush the city of LA! And…not even Red will stop me! SERIOUSLY!" Motor Ed smirked before doing another air guitar solo.
