Later in the day, Kim pulled up in front of Torretto's in Britina's 2002 Dodge Viper GTS with a smirk on her face as Dom and the others noticed it. "Gee, express delivery, eh?" Dom smirked.
"What can I say? I can do anything, especially keep my promises." Kim smiled as she handed the keys to Dom.
"You're not off the hook yet, little lady. Where's Spinler?" Dom asked as Brian pulled up front in a white truck carrying a damaged 1994 Toyota Supra. Kim gulped and chuckled nervously, hoping Dom wouldn't mind the fact that it was a used car. It was the best the FBI could give Brian after all. "What the hell is this?"
"This is your car." Brian smiled proudly.
"This is my car?" Dom shot back, clearly not impressed. "I said, a ten second car, not a ten minute car."
"Hey, it's not all that bad." Kim chuckled nervously.
"You kidding me? You can push this across the finish line or tow it." Jesse shot back.
"You couldn't even tow it across the finish line before it even breaks." Dom insulted, making Kim sigh as the crew all laughed.
"You have no faith." Brian simply said.
"Oh, I have faith in you both, but this isn't a junkyard. This is a garage." Dom pointed out.
"You ever heard the saying, 'Never judge a book by it's cover'?" Kim asked with a smirk. "Pop the hood, and you'll see what we mean." They all shrugged as Jesse popped the hood and saw that while it looked damage, the car's engine was in pretty good shape.
"2JZ engine. You were right, Possible. We judged it too quickly." Jesse commented.
"No kidding. I believe you owe a certain someone an apology." Kim smirked to Dom.
"OK, I retract my previous statements." Dom said with a smile as they studied the car, seeing how much they can do to repair it.
"You know what? This will decimate all after you put about $15,000 in it or more if we have to overnight parts from Japan." Jesse explained.
Kim gulped, knowing she couldn't afford that much. "Don't fret. We'll put it on my tab at Harry's." Dom assured.
"So, we off the hook now?" Ron asked with a smile.
"Not quite yet. I wanna get you all racing again so I can make some money off your asses." Dom smirked, already coming up with a plan.
"OK, but can we do it somewhere else, so we don't have to worry about being arrested by cops?" Kim asked.
"There's a showdown in the desert called Race Wars, and that's where you'll do it." Dom explained, to which Ron gasped happily. He's watched Race Wars' live streams ever since he knew about the event.
"NO WAY! We're going to Race Wars!" Ron exclaimed happily, making Brian and Kim smile and roll their eyes amusedly.
"So until then, you'll all be working here, whenever Spinler's not working at Harry's." Dom said, laying out the details. "If you and Ms. Teen Middleton can't find the right tools in this garage, Mr. Arizona, then you both don't belong near a car."
"Well then, let's get fixing." Kim smirked, already leading the scene as they worked on Brian's Supra.
"Good, because he owns you all now." Mia smirked.
It took only a day, but luckily Toretto and his crew had enough parts from Harry's to reshape the Supra into a new, racing machine. Kim was a bit inexperienced when it came to fixing, but luckily she had Ron, Wade, and Brian to help her out. Ron stood by Jesse as he created a 3D model of the Toyota Supra, trying to retrofit it with newer parts. "Dude, tell me what you think about this. Keoni adjustables. That'll save us about two pounds." Jesse explained while smoking a joint.
"Cool! That'll give us more traction for the hole shot." Ron smirked.
"You clearly know your stuff, dude." Jesse smiled. "OK, this is the basic layout of Spinler's car, and that's what it might look like when it's finished." Ron was pretty impressed. Jesse was a mechanical genius. Way better than him or possibly Wade.
"Dude, you should be going to MIT, Harvard, or some other fancy big smarts college!" Ron smiled.
Jesse playfully scoffed. "Yeah, right." he smirked.
"No seriously! You're a way better genius than Wade!" Ron smiled, to which Rufus glared at his master. "Don't tell him I said that." Rufus nodded. "Why don't you wanna go?"
"Well, I got the…what's the word? Attention disorder…" Jesse tried to think.
"ADD?" Ron asked.
"Yeah, that shit." Jesse sighed. "I was good at algebra and math. But everything else, I failed. I dropped out of school. I don't know. There's something about engines that calms me down."
Ron nodded with understanding. "Nah, I get it. I don't do well in school either. Kim tries to help me the best she can, but my special skill is pretty much cooking." he said to which Jesse laughed. "What?"
"You cook?" Jesse snickered. "What're you now? A male Martha Stewart?"
"Hey! There's nothing wrong with guys cooking, you know?" Ron smirked playfully.
"Yeah, I know. But you seem more of the football type." Jesse smiled.
"I wish I was. I'm not really good at sports." Ron sighed, and Jesse placed a comforting hand on his arm, then offered him his joint. "Oh no thanks man. I don't do drugs."
"Suit yourself." Jesse shrugged as he continued to work.
Meanwhile, Kim and Brian were watching them from afar. "Some friend you got there, huh?" Brian asked with a smile.
"Yeah, Ron is…well, different. But, that's what I like about him." Kim smiled. "He's a really great teacher when it comes to things I don't quite know. He's skilled with monkey kung fu. And Rufus is fun to hang around with. That's why we're friends."
Brian then smirked. "Well, if I can be honest, I think there's more than friendship between you two." he said to which Kim's eyes went wide.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold the sitch there!" Kim said, not wanting Brian to get the wrong idea. "Ron and I are not…a thing."
"Oh come on! You two would make a cute couple." Brian smirked to which Kim furrowed her brow to show Brian she was serious.
"He's right." Dom smirked as he approached the two. "A boy like that? He evens you out. You two are perfect for each other."
"I don't think so, Dom." Kim smirked and chuckled.
"Whatever. You three busy Sunday?" Dom asked, to which Brian and Kim shook their heads. "Good. I'm throwing a barbecue. You're more than welcome to join."
"Well, Ron is always game for food." Kim smiled, glancing over at her best friend who was eating gummy bears.
Sunday, over at the Toretto residence, Kim, Brian, and Ron were already there helping Dom with the grill as Vince, Leon, and Letty arrived. "Hey dude, did you make this sauce yourself?" Brian asked, tasting a bowl of BBQ sauce as Vince exited out of his car and glared at the three.
"Yeah. Just a little Stoppable recipe. World famous." Ron smirked, making Kim laugh.
"Wow! This is the best sauce I ever tasted. It'll look good on the chicken." Brian smiled before noticing Vince.
"I'm out of here." Vince huffed, feeling hurt then leaving the bags with Leon as he began to leave.
"Hey Vince, come on! Help us with this stuff!" Dom called out.
"You got all the help you need, Dom!" Vince huffed as he left.
"Clearly, that guy's tweaked at us." Kim said as she fetched a Corona for Dom. "More so than Shego is whenever I beat her sorry butt."
"No shit. You got game, girl." Letty smiled, making Kim awkwardly smile back.
"Well, thanks." Kim smiled and giggled softly.
"I still think you don't belong here though. Just because your site says you can do anything, doesn't mean you should." Letty said bluntly, making Kim's smile disappear. "Honestly, it's a miracle that bitch Shego didn't fry you in every fight."
"Why do you think she hasn't?" Kim asked.
"Because she's holding back, wanting to save the killing blow for a special occasion." Letty smirked. "I know I would if you pissed me off."
"Hey! There's no way Shego just lets me win! I beat her with equal skill!" Kim smirked.
"Letty, why don't you go set the table?" Dom asked, to which Letty nodded curtly and went to do that. "I apologize for her…and Vince."
"Well, East LA is a lot different from high school in Colorado, that's for sure." Kim said. Dom smiled reassuringly and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Hey. You still may not be a great racer, but you're already great at being you." Dom smiled, to which Kim smiled back. But inside her own mind, she was still having conflicting thoughts over Dom being part of Motor Ed's team.
It doesn't make any sense, Kim thought to herself. Why would anyone want to think he's a bad guy? He just seems OK to me. He's like a second dad, or a big brother. He's not all that bad.
"Ohhh…I'm in trouble." Kim groaned to herself as the food was finished and everyone gathered around the table.
"Hey Mia! The chicken is dry already!" Dom called out, and his little sister came out of the house and joined the feast.
"Grilled chicken, come to the Ronster!" Ron smirked as he reached for a wing.
"Oooh! Yummy!" Rufus smiled.
"Now hold on. Since you were the first one out of all of us to reach for the chicken, you have to say grace." Dom said sternly, causing Ron's mouth to drop.
"But I'm jewish." Ron said as he found his voice.
"No one is perfect. Say grace." Dom said.
"Right. OK." Ron chuckled nervously, making Kim smirk at him. He then bowed his head down with the others and began the blessing. "Dear heavenly father and…"
"Spirit." Kim whispered.
"Yeah. Spirit, we thank you for providing us with a direct port nitrous injection," Ron prayed, making everyone smirk and chuckle. "Four core intercoolers, and ball-bearing turbos, and titanium valve springs. Amen."
Everyone chuckled as they began to eat. "Not bad, Stoppable." Dom smiled.
"Your friend was praying to the car gods." Mia smirked.
"Well, Ron's not really the best when it comes to praying." Kim smiled before gulping at Vince coming back.
"Well, look who it is! Old Coyotes R Us!" Leon smirked. "We thought you weren't hungry man."
"Come on, I gotta eat." Vince shrugged.
"Alright, take a seat." Dom said. Vince did just that, though he still eyed Kim, Brian, and Ron suspiciously as they ate together.
A few hours later, Mia was washing dishes as Kim and Brian approached her. "Hey, do you need help with anything else?" Kim asked.
"Nah, I'm fine. Why don't you and Ron just head back to the motel so Brian and the rest of the guys can watch the movie?" Mia politely denied.
"You know, the cook isn't also the maid where I come from." Brian said as he and Kim began to wash dishes.
"Yeah? I'd love to go there someday." Mia smirked. Brian then left for a bit, leaving behind Mia and a smirking Kim.
"He's cute. Like, boy band cute." Kim smiled, making Mia giggle. "You two should go out sometime. You both would make a great couple."
"No. I don't date my brother's friends." Mia said.
"Wow. That sucks. If he ever found out about that, he's probably going to kick Dom's butt." Kim smirked.
"I'd love to see that one." Mia smirked back. "No, I'd pay to see Brian kick my brother's ass."
Brian then came back to help as Vince came into the kitchen to microwave some popcorn. "Hey why don't you two wash my car when you're done?" Vince teased, to which Kim and Brian glared at him.
"Vince…" Mia sighed, getting sick of him teasing Brian.
"No Mia, I was talking to the punks." Vince smirked.
"OK, look, if you have a problem with us, fine! We don't have to be here anyway. I can take Ron and just leave." Kim shot back, getting fed up with Vince.
"Well then, why don't you take the buster and put him in one of your dresses, and go back out where you both belong?" Vince teased. That did it for Mia. If there was a building relationship between the two, it was now officially over.
"Hey, V, what was the name of that fast food Mexican restaurant you told me about?" Mia asked, to which Vince smiled. "The one with the big sombrero on top, and the giant taco?" Kim smiled too, knowing which fast food place Mia was thinking of.
"Yeah, and the mini sombreros, oh, and this thing called the Naco!" Vince smiled.
"Yeah. What was the name of it?" Mia asked.
"Bueno Nacho." Kim spoke up. "Me and Ron go to it. We practically live there."
"That's it! Bueno Nacho!" Vince smiled to which Mia smiled back.
"Yeah." Mia said, turning to Brian. "Well, you can take me there." Vince immediately frowned at that. Mia then turned to Kim. "What time do they close?"
"They're open till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays." Kim explained, with a smirk geared towards Vince.
"OK. Could Friday at 10:00 work?" Mia asked Brian.
"Oh yeah. That'd be perfect." Brian smiled, and Vince, clearly heartbroken, stomped out of the kitchen. And Kim gulped, hoping she didn't do something that would put her on his most hated list.
The next day, over at Racer's Edge, Hector and his crew pulled into the parking lot, wanting to get some parts from Harry. They then entered the store and Hector smirked as soon as he saw Brian. "Hired some new help, huh?" Hector smiled. "Where are your celeb friends?"
"Doing homework. What's up, Hector? What do you need?" Brian asked.
"I need you to hook me up. Three of everything. I made a list." Hector said, handing the list to Brian.
"When do you need this stuff by?" Brian asked, looking the list over.
"Tomorrow, today, now." Hector said as Brian typed all the info into his computer. His eyes went wide as he saw that the parts Hector needed belonged to Honda Civics. He then began to think he may be connected to Motor Ed and his heists.
"You said you needed three of this stuff?" Brian asked, getting more suspicious of him.
"Yeah. Three of everything." Hector repeated.
"OK. Just hold onto your cash for a sec." Brian said, discreetly copying the page link, then logging onto Kim's website. He then found Wade Load's message board. He typed in: 'Get this info to Kim. Tell her and Ron to meet me tonight. Hector might be a suspect. Cross reference it with anything you might have.' He then posted the link and sent the message.
Meanwhile, at the motel, Kim and Ron were doing their homework, just bored out of their minds. "OK, question 7: bee is the hive as a) fish is the pond, b) bear is the den, or c) coral is the reef?" Kim asked, twirling her feet up in the air.
"Hmmm…d? All of the above?" Ron guessed.
"Hey! That's actually right Ron!" Kim smiled before the Kimmunicator beeped. She then answered it. "Sitch me."
"Brian messaged that Hector was in Racer's Edge, wanting to get parts for three Honda Civics." Wade explained. Kim smirked. Finally, we have a prime suspect. It couldn't be Dom after all, She thought to herself. "Anyway, I crossed referenced it with some of the data from the FBI and police, and it turns out that three Honda Civic were stolen a week ago. The same week where Motor Ed's first robbery took place."
"And if I was Motor Ed, I would tell Hector to store those cars in his garage." Kim smirked to herself.
"Might be our best lead! Brian wants you guys to meet him there tonight!" Wade informed his friends.
"We'll be there, Wade." Kim promised with a grin, hanging up before going back to her homework.
