Scottsville, CA. Charley and Modo had tried everything they could think of to get Tony to talk about why he shut his parents and grandma out of his life. They've even tried to get Tredz to talk to his grandson, and he refused to.

They finally resorted to taking his Xbox from him until he talked to them about what he did. Modo told him that the next thing to leave is gonna be his cell phone. For every time Tony refuses to talk, something is gonna leave. It didn't seem to phase Tony at all. He'd find ways to entertain himself or call friends.

Later in the day, Martha saw her son sitting outside on the porch. He looked deeply troubled. She went out to sit with him and find out what's bothering her only son.

"Modo, sweetie. What's wrong?"

Modo looked at his mom and sighed. "I had no idea that teenagers were such a pain in the tail. Was I ever like this, mom?"

Martha smiled at her son. "No, Modo. You were an angel. You loved to help around the house. What else is bothering you?"

"Charley and I can't get Anthony to talk about why he disowned his family. He wouldn't even talk to his grandfather, Tredz. I don't know what else to do, mom. Any ideas?"

"May I try to talk to him? Maybe he'll open up to someone he doesn't see much of around the house."

"That's how the whole problem started, mom. Michelle was never around much cause she was working to provide for her family."

"You do know I wasn't around much either, right?"

"You were working while dad took care of me. Chyanne had already moved out and living on her own."

"So, you should be able to relate what Anthony is going through."

"You know what, mom, you're right." Then he bent over and kissed his mom on the cheek. "Thanks."

Modo stood up and went inside the house. He called up to Tony to come downstairs.

"You going to make me talk about what I did?"

"Only if you want to, Anthony. I do understand what its like to have a parent who is hardly around. Let's go get lunch and take it to the park and I'll tell you my story."

Tony thought about it for a bit. "Ok dad."

Scottsville City Park. Modo had driven Charley's truck instead of taking Tony on the back of his bike. Especially, since they were getting lunch to take to the park.

They got to the park with lunch. They stopped by the little "ma and pa" restaurant and got burgers, fries and milkshakes.

After Modo parked the truck, both him and Tony grabbed their lunch and got out. They closed their doors with their hips due to their hands being full and walked over to the picnic tables and sat down with their food.

While they were eating, Modo told Tony about his childhood and how his mom was working all the time and his dad would take care of him every day.

"Didn't you resent your mom for not being around all the time?

"At first I did, but after my dad told me why my mom wasn't around a lot, I knew I couldn't be mad at her. All her hard work was to make sure I had a good life when I was older and living on my own. I get why you resented your mother, but why did you shut out your twin brother and father? He was home with you and Tyrone all the time while your mother was working."

Tony looked away in shame, then looked back at Modo. He had tears in his eyes.

"I'm not a bad son, dad. I just wanted a new life with parents that are home all the time and want to spend time with me."

"You know that your mother wanted to spend time with you, but she had to work so you would have food on the table, a roof over your head and clothing on your back. I get that you wanted a better life, but you also hurt your parents and brother. I wish your mother hadn't signed the adoption papers. You are my nephew first and foremost, Anthony."

"Did I screw up by wanting you and Aunt Charley as my parents?"

"Yes, you did. Don't get me wrong, I love having you as a son, but like I said, you're my nephew. You're welcome to stay here and we'll take care of you, but you need to talk to your parents and brother. You need to apologize to them, Anthony. Even your grandfather tried to get you to apologize to them."

Tony stood up and came around the picnic table and hugged his uncle tight and cried into his shoulder. Modo hugged his nephew and rubbed his back to sooth him a bit.

Later that day, they arrived back at the house. Charley was outside sitting at the table, reading a book. Something she hadn't done in years. It was such a nice day that she figured she would go sit outside and enjoy the weather and a good book.

After Modo and Tony got out of the truck, they walked up to Charley. Tony hugged her tight, completely throwing her off guard.

Charley looked at Modo while Tony was hugging her. "What did I miss?"

"Anthony and I had a long talk during lunch earlier. He understands that he screwed up and is trying to make things right."

Tony looked at Charley and smiled. "I love you, Aunt Charley."

"I love you too, Tony."

"I wanna call my mom and apologize for being a complete ass to her. I'm hoping she'll accept my apology. I'm also hoping my dad, my brother and my grandma will too."

Charley smiled at Tony and ruffled his hair a bit.

"I'm sure they will. Come on, let's get you inside and calling your parents."

Charley stood up and headed for the sliding door on the deck. Modo and Tony followed shortly after. Both Charley and Modo were glad that Tony wanted to get in contact with his parents.

Chicago. The Drs. had finally taken care of Throttle's broken right hand. They put it in a brace and told him not to use it for 6 weeks. He was also given a prescription for physical therapy for his hand once its healed.

The psychologist and I just came back and saw Throttle had a brace on his right hand.

"How bad is it?"

"Its completely broken. They want me to wear this for 6 weeks and not to use it. I also have to do physical therapy for it afterwards. Where'd you go?"

"Talk with a psychologist to find out what is wrong with me. He also wants to talk with you about my problem."

Throttle looked at the psychologist then at me.

"Nothing personal against the psychologist, but I don't see a reason to."

"You need to understand what is going on with your wife and help her when she needs it."

Throttle took me aside and asked what was wrong with me.

"I'm bi-polar, Throttle. Everything I've done all this time is cause of my bi-polar illness. I'm being prescribed meds for it. I'll need your help to make sure I'm taking my meds so nothing else happens. Please talk to the psychologist, Throttle."

Throttle looked at the psychologist then back to me. He sighed then agreed to talk with the psychologist.
