Enzuk POV 6

Greetings to all! I am incredibly grateful for the support and positive feedback I have received from each and every one of you. Your unwavering dedication to the story means the world to me. As I have mentioned previously, I am well aware that the genre of Sci-Fi may not be as widely popular, but I am sincerely appreciative of all the time and effort you have invested in reading and sharing your valuable thoughts.

In this particular chapter, I have chosen to delve into Enzuk's perspective immediately after Bella is taken away following their last conversation. By presenting both sides of the story, I believe it adds significant depth and importance as we approach the climax. Once again, thank you all for your continued support!

I anxiously lingered, hoping for Isabella's eventual reappearance. However, my hopes were shattered as she failed to make a comeback. Meanwhile, Black, with a vigilant gaze fixed upon me, menacingly spun the vial containing the lethal serum within his grasp.

I let out a low, menacing growl while narrowing my eyes at him. The intensity of my hatred towards him was overwhelming. Despite acknowledging that he was a human warrior, it was his unbearable arrogance and complete disregard for the well-being of his own kind that ignited a fiery rage within me.

What could possibly drive someone to betray their own race? It was experiences like this that fueled my initial disdain for humanity, as I delved deeper into the complexities of human behavior and questioned the very essence of our existence.

Black's footsteps echoed on the cold, unforgiving stone floor as he closed in on me. Instinctively, a low growl escaped my throat, but instead of fear or hesitation, his lips curled into a menacing smile. Breaking the silence, he called out to a nearby guard, his voice laced with authority, "Remi."

The guard snapped to attention, responding promptly, "Sir?"

A wicked glint danced in Black's eyes as he issued his command. "Fetch me the gun specifically designed for the serum. I believe it's time we put its potency to the test. Immediately."

The air grew heavy with anticipation as the guard hurriedly complied, aware of the gravity of Black's request. The sinister aura surrounding us only intensified, leaving me to wonder what dark purpose lay behind this experimentation.

I absolutely refused to allow Black to experiment with that serum on me. I knew that I had to conserve all of my strength for the imminent attack that lay ahead. With caution, I started to retreat from the glass and skillfully propelled myself up into the highest corner of my confining cell.

"What's he doing?" Another guard asked.

"Does it really matter?" Black retorted. "I'll blast him down soon enough."

"Blast him?"

"Yeah. With the serum."

"I thought we required multiple blasts to kill him. A single blast might not be sufficient to eliminate him. I believed that was the focus of Darren's efforts."

"Daren is currently developing additional doses of the serum. And I am certain that we will need to administer more than one blast of the serum to the creature. However, why not take a proactive approach and begin the process?" Black smirked. "I am eager to observe the effects of this particular dosage on him."

I shut my eyes tightly, focusing on quieting my body and shutting out the incessant chatter around me. It was crucial for me to find complete concentration. Gradually, my body started to slip into a state of deep relaxation, almost as if I was entering a trance-like state. With every passing moment, I delved deeper into my mind, summoning my people through the power of telepathy.

"Enzuk," a familiar voice called out to me, instantly bringing a smile to my face. It was none other than Japher, one of my beloved blood brothers.

"Japher," I replied warmly, relieved to hear his voice. His concern for my well-being was evident in his next question.

"What's happening down there? Are you safe? Please assure me that they haven't caused you any harm."

A mischievous smirk played on my lips as I reassured him, "I'm perfectly fine. These humans pose no threat to me. However, it seems prudent to initiate our attack now, before they have a chance to test one of their new serums on me."

"Contemptible humans. Once again, they are engaging in their familiar deceitful practices, concocting toxic substances. One would expect them to have gleaned wisdom from the lessons of their forefathers."

"They remain oblivious to those teachings, yet they persist in following the footsteps of their predecessors. The serum they have concocted may not be entirely benign, but it represents their most advanced achievement. If we take action at this moment, not even their most powerful elixir will be incapable of thwarting us. It is imperative to eliminate the human race now, lest they devise a more formidable creation."

"I concur. I shall inform Aro and assemble our forces. In the meantime, ensure your own safety. We shall be reunited shortly."

"Make it soon. They will not hold off for long."

"You will know the signal when it comes."

I nodded to myself. "Farewell for now."

Black wasted no time in acquiring the weapon necessary to administer their latest venomous concoction into my system. Nevertheless, I was resolute in my determination to prevent him from injecting me with the serum. As the seconds ticked by, I braced myself for the impending confrontation, fully aware of the consequences that awaited me if I failed to thwart his sinister plans.

Isabella's knowledge in scientific advancements for humans was not as advanced as that of my people. However, she had managed to create toxic serums that effectively eliminated the graks from our planet. Despite this accomplishment, I had no intention of waiting around to find out what her latest serum would do to me. While I was confident it wouldn't be lethal, I had no desire for it to cause any harm or injury to me. Thus, I decided to take precautionary measures and avoid any potential risks associated with her new creation.

I carefully surveyed my environment, taking in every detail. After my discussion with Japher, I noticed that Black had taken the initiative to recruit additional guards and arm them with the latest toxic serum-infused weapons. It became evident to me that he was preparing for any potential failure in his experiments on me. With a sense of urgency, I meticulously scanned the confines of the holding cell, methodically counting the number of guards and weapons present.

Despite the overwhelming chaos surrounding me, my thoughts involuntarily wandered to the young female human—Isabella. I was aware that she was still present within the base, as her scent lingered in the air. Eagerly, I strained my ears, hoping to catch a glimpse of her voice amidst the commotion, but to no avail.

Black's voice boomed, commanding attention. "Alright," he shouted, his tone brimming with authority. "As we all know, we must follow the protocol. I will take the first shot, ensuring our advantage. Once I strike, the rest of you unleash your firepower. Let's blast this bastard sky high. Let this be the first kill that leads us to victory."

As I cautiously scanned the room, my eyes darting from one adversary to another, I carefully assessed their strengths and weaknesses. Just as I was on the verge of making my daring escape, a sudden darkness engulfed the surroundings as the lights abruptly shut off. The air was filled with a cacophony of panicked voices, echoing through the surroundings, as the men stood frozen in disbelief, their eyes darting around in a state of shock.

A wide smile spread across my face, relief flooding through me. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they had come through. I couldn't help but think to myself, "It's about time."

I burst through the reinforced glass of my prison cell, the shards scattering across the floor. The collar that had been restricting my movements was forcefully ripped off and discarded, landing with a satisfying thud on the ground. As the deafening sound of gunfire erupted, the darkness was momentarily illuminated by the flashes of bullets being discharged. The soldiers, gripped by panic, fired their weapons aimlessly, unaware of their surroundings.

With remarkable agility, I effortlessly evaded their haphazard shots, effortlessly scaling the walls and creating clever distractions to further disorient them. A smirk formed on my face as the soldiers' blind bullets inadvertently struck their own comrades, their cries of pain and confusion echoing through the darkened space.

Suddenly, a commanding voice pierced through the chaos. "Hold!" Black shouted, his voice carrying authority and urgency. "Hold your fire!" The soldiers, now realizing the futility of their actions, ceased their shooting, their trembling hands lowering their weapons.

I maintained my stance against the wall while the men hurriedly retreated into the obscurity. Amidst the darkness, my gaze fixated on Black. Although I possessed the extraordinary power of night vision, I couldn't conceal the radiant blue glow emanating from my eyes. Black locked eyes with me, his expression seething with fury.

I squinted my eyes, glaring intensely at him. Black menacingly pointed his gun in my direction and pulled the trigger, but I skillfully dodged his shot. Swiftly, I closed the distance between us, effortlessly evading the hail of bullets. Fueled by an overwhelming surge of anger, I lunged towards Black with uncontainable fury, sinking my teeth into his arm with a savage force.

Despite his screams of pain, he defiantly pulled out a knife and forcefully thrust it into my side. Fortunately, my armor proved impenetrable against such feeble weaponry. In retaliation, I dug my razor-sharp claws deep into his chest, forcing him to the ground beneath me.

As chaos ensued, with some of the men urging a retreat, a sudden and jarring sound echoed through the air. It was the unmistakable flipping of a switch, triggering an alarm system that bathed the surroundings in a pulsating red glow.

Just as I prepared to sink my teeth into Black's vulnerable neck, a sharp object unexpectedly pierced my own neck, halting my attack. Black writhed in agony, clutching his gun tightly in his hand. He unleashed a relentless barrage of bullets in my direction. But still, my impenetrable armor shielded me from harm. However, my relief was short-lived as I suddenly realized that Black had cunningly injected me with a mysterious serum. As the serum coursed through my veins, my vision began to blur ever so slightly, making it increasingly difficult to catch my breath. Frustration and fury surged within me, causing me to emit a low, menacing growl. Just as the situation seemed dire, a group of soldiers swiftly closed in on me, their weapons poised for action. Meanwhile, Black, barely conscious, was hauled away by one of his comrades, leaving me to face the impending confrontation alone.

I forcefully lowered my body and skillfully employed my tail to strategically trip multiple men, causing them to lose their balance and stumble. The swift and precise movement of my tail proved to be an effective tactic in incapacitating the individuals.

A group of men were unexpectedly removed from the scene in large quantities. The unmistakable cries of my fellow people filled the air as they launched a furious assault, leaving no one alive in their wake. Overwhelmed by the chaos, I shut my eyes tightly, desperately trying to regain my composure and rid myself of the lingering effects of the toxic substance.

"Enzuk!" Japher approached me, placing his hand gently on my shoulder. Concern filled his voice as he asked, "Are you okay? What happened?"

Once more, I shook my head, struggling to find the words. Finally, I managed to utter, "It was the serum." The sheer potency of Isabella's creation had taken me by surprise. The deafening noise of explosive bombs detonating outside violently shook the very foundation of the structure, sending tremors reverberating through its walls. The sounds echoed through the air, causing panic and fear to grip the hearts of humans still inside.

The name "Black" echoed through my mind, fueling my anger and determination. The image of that arrogant man's face dominated my thoughts, intensifying my desire to seek him out and unleash my fury upon him. Every fiber of my being yearned to tear him apart, leaving nothing but shreds in my wake.

"The scientist," Japher seethed, his voice dripping with anger. "She is dead?"

As soon as his words reached my ears, a sudden jolt ran through my body, causing my heart to skip a beat. The name Isabella echoed in my mind, instantly diverting my attention from my burning desire to eliminate Black, and instead, urging me to locate Isabella. I knew she was somewhere within the confines of the crumbling base, which had now become infested with venomous graks, their presence multiplying with every passing moment. I knew I had to locate her, no matter what it took. "Leave her to me," I growled, determination etched in every word.

Japher's frustration was palpable as he spat out, "She's still alive!"

Without wasting another moment, I commanded, "See to the other humans. We cannot let them escape. Remember, there are escape pods. And be cautious, brother. That serum can leave you incapacitated."

As the potent serum's effects gradually diminished, I felt a surge of energy coursing through my veins, revitalizing every fiber of my being. With each passing moment, my body regained its former vigor, and I could sense my strength returning to its peak. The gradual fading of the serum's influence allowed me to reclaim my full physical prowess, empowering me to conquer any challenge that lay ahead.

"Vorro had set off on a mission to locate her," Japher said. "I thought his mission would be futile. I thought she would be dead. But Vorro was determined to be the one to slay her if she was still alive."

The mere mention of Vorro's name made my teeth clench in frustration. Vorro, a highly esteemed warrior, was constantly driven to prove himself. It was no surprise that he would go to great lengths to retrieve the body of the scientist who was responsible for the creation of deadly poisons. Undoubtedly, he was aiming to impress Aro and secure a more prestigious position within our ranks. The thought of Vorro's ambitious pursuits filled me with a mix of annoyance and rage.

However, Isabella would prove to be no match for him should he come across her. A burning rage engulfed me, causing my scales to bristle. She was my sole objective, no one else's. Filled with anger, I declared, "I will locate her. She is my kill." Thankfully, I still possessed the advantage of her distinct scent. With determination, I knew she was still within the confines of the building, and I was determined to be the first to find her.

As Isabella's face flashed in my mind, a surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins, causing my heart to race uncontrollably. It was a peculiar mix of thrill and excitement, knowing that her impending demise was drawing near. The weight of responsibility hung heavy on my shoulders, for I alone held the power to bring peace to the Earth by ending her life. Despite the conversations we had shared, I remained resolute in my mission, unswayed by any emotional connection we might have formed.

There was an undeniable clash between humans and the Omna. The emotions that stirred within me were not of love or affection, but rather a deep sense of repulsion. It wasn't the fear of losing her life that consumed me, but rather the fear of failing to accomplish my mission. Humans possessed a cunning nature that made it difficult to trust them. Any semblance of affection I may have felt for her was merely a facade, a result of her deceitful actions. She was the embodiment of evil. There was no question that her sole intention was to obstruct me from fulfilling my mission, perhaps even plotting to eliminate me before I could achieve it. At least, that's the narrative I convinced myself of, as I delved deeper into the intricate web of malevolence shown by her kind.

There was no bond between us, no possibility of anything other than enmity. I staunchly refused to view her as anything other than my enemy. In order to stay focused on my objective, I deliberately shut off all emotions and erected barriers to block any feelings that could potentially hinder my progress.

She was the sole purpose of my mission, the target I had to eliminate. As the night grew darker, saturated with the scent of blood, I knew that before the first rays of sunlight kissed the horizon, she would take her final breath.

Enzuk is currently facing immense challenges. It is crucial to grasp that Enzuk has harbored a deep-seated animosity towards humans throughout his entire existence. Consequently, the idea of forming a bond with a human is completely inconceivable to him. He will relentlessly seek alternative explanations for his emotions, avoiding the notion of love at all costs. But we will see how that works out for him.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! Your thoughts are highly valued and eagerly anticipated.
