"So…Hey." Yang said with classic Xiao-Long suave that was smoother than butter.
"Hey." Blake drawled back, shooting her partner a neutral, vaguely inquisitive look from over the rim of the book she'd been busy sticking her nose in.
"I was thinking-"
"God's help us."
"-I'll allow that. Once." Yang warned, narrowing her eyes slightly. "Tomorrow's the weekend right?"
"Yes."
"Wanna go out and do something? Not White Fang related though. I'm putting my foot down."
"I'm good, thanks. I have research to do." Blake replied, Yang glared at her as the dark haired Faunus immediately went back to reading her book. Annoyed, Yang flicked the spine of the novel, earning an irritated look from her partner.
"I don't mind being turned down on a good offer but I do mean it when I mean no White Fang. You need a break."
"Actually I was going to research when and where my favourite author's latest book will be released. There's going to be a limited run of special edition novels with a signature and extra smu-content." Blake replied, making Yang wilt slightly at jumping the gun. "I took our heart to heart seriously, Yang."
"Right. Yeah. Coolio." Yang grinned, weakly shooting finger guns at Blake. "I'll leave you to it then kitty cat. Enjoy your smut."
"It's literature!" Blake protested as Yang retreated away. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. Surely she could rope out Ruby for some shopping or something.

"Seriously?"
"Yup." Ruby replied, popping the 'P' to emphasise her point, something that ran in the blood of the Rose/Xiao-Long family. "I already have plans to go out with a friend of mine, and you're not allowed to come! I don't wanna go clubbing or anything like that."
"Ruby. My dudette. My sister. I want you to know I practically raised you for a few years." Yang deadpanned. "You're telling me that you have plans? To go out? On your own accord?"
"She was pretty insistent." Ruby defended weakly. Yang raised an unimpressed eyebrow.
"And who is this mysterious friend of yours?" Yang interrogated.
"Penny." Ruby said, chirping up immediately and giving a smile. "She's back from Atlas again for the Vytal tournament and she wants to hang out! We're gonna go to the arcade, then eat some fast food then come home!"
"Sounds like a date." Yang snorted, making Ruby pull a disgusted face at her.
"Ew!" Ruby protested, poking Yang's stomach. "Blake's been rubbing off on you hasn't she? Get your mind out of the gutter Yang! Resist the smut!"
"Trust me, Blake definitely hasn't been rubbing off on me." Yang said, enjoying the way Ruby looked like she wanted to barf. "If she had maybe she'd be less of a grouch."
"Yang!" Ruby shrieked, and Yang winced as her ears popped and flared up with a dull, ringing pain due to the opera-glass-shattering shriek.
"What?" Yang asked genuinely, vaguely aware of Ruby saying something thanks to her moving lips but unable to hear whatever it was she was saying as her ears rang from after high-pitched yell that had probably shattered glass a mile away and had most definitely shattered her ears drums.
Ruby ranted furiously, and Yang was able to make out the words "Disgusting!" and "Smut!" and "Stop!" and "Filth!"
There was also a few "Readings" in there too. Or at least she thought. Before she could ask Ruby to wait a few minutes before repeating her rant her little sister turned and stomped away.
Yang shrugged. You win some, you lose some. At least she could tell her dad or uncle Ruby was going on dates with a not weird but not exactly normal Atlesian girl should she pull another stunt like making her temporarily deaf again.
Now if only her damn eyes could start hearing again.

"No." Weiss denied flatly, not even looking away from her homework.
"I haven't even said anything yet!" Yang protested. Weiss just scribbled away at her homework.
"You're bored. Ruby warned me you'd be coming." Weiss said, looking away from her study for a second to shoot a piercing glare at Yang. "I do not want to know, nor participate in, whatever filthy activities you and Blake engage in. Just keep it out of our dorm room please."
"We're no canoodling Weiss-cream." Yang retorted, making Weiss roll her eyes and turn back to her homework. "I made a joke."
"That would explain things."
"And what is that supposed to mean?" Yang replied, eyes narrowing. She was starting to get a little annoyed by all her teammates blowing her off.
"Your humour leaves much to be desired Yang cream." Weiss retorted, and Yang rolled her eyes.
"That doesn't even work Ice Queen."
"Exactly."
"But in reverse-"
"What's that? Sorry I can't hear you over the sound of my own diligence and hard work."
"More like that ginormous stick up your ass." Yang sighed, and Weiss squawked with indignation.
"You brutish, arrogant oaf!" Weiss snapped, jabbing a pencil in Yang's direction. "I would sooner spend time with Arc of all people than spend anymore time than I have to with you!"
"Damn. Burn." Yang said dryly, scooping up rubber remains brushed onto Weiss' desk and scrunching it up into a ball before flicking it at Weiss. Yang smiled at the look of shock on Weiss' face as the rubber ball plopped against her nose before toppling onto her dress. "Laters!"
"Xiao-Long come back here right now so I can skewer you with Myrtenaster!"
/#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/
Yang sighed contentedly as she stepped into her dorm room. After being chased by an irate Weiss for ten minutes she'd given the girl the slip just before Goodwitch rocked up and sent her scurrying off to detention for causing so much havoc. Yang figured Goodwitch would be coming to find her soon, so she'd set herself up with the neat alibi of having been in the shower.
In all honesty she needed the shower not just to clean off the sweat she'd worked up being chased around by Weiss Cream but also because she needed to chillax a little. She'd gotten a little annoyed by the fact everyone else had plans and none of them included her. She didn't mind not being around someone all day everyday, but she couldn't help but feel a little excluded.
When was the last time she'd gone out and had fun with friends, or rather, just with one friend? Group outings were fun and all, and Yang wouldn't change going out with all the girls for the world, but at the same time it wasn't the same as just going out with someone. That was a sign of a more intimate, close friendship, something that Yang had silently been yearning for. At Signal she'd been the queen bee, but that meant people only hung out with her for popularity reasons and the people she might have gotten along with better or had similar interests with might have stayed away due to her popularity. Despite the fact she had dozens of friends, she felt like she only had a handful of true friends, and at least three of them were on her team and at varying times, at varying degrees, couldn't put up with her at all.
Wait...teams...friends...Juniper!
Nora would be fun to hit the town with, and Yang wanted to see if she could crack Ren's polite exterior and turn him into a party animal. Maybe if she did he and Nora would stop dancing around each other and start dancing with each other. P-Money was another good option, though then again if she were recognised she might get swarmed by people wanting her autograph or something.
As Yang stepped into the shower, she started trying to conjure up ideas and plans. She'd been too headstrong in trying to get her team to hang out with her, and she'd apologise to Weiss later for it. But for now she had to figure how to coax her other friends into agreeing to go out and just doing something. Being cooped up in Beacon was starting to drive her stir crazy, and whilst she technically could leave to go to Vale so long as she came back for the curfew and last Bullhead flight she didn't fancy doing any of that all by her lonesome.
Since her own team didn't want to do that, she'd turn to their sister team instead.
Yang could ask Pyrrha, but P-Money would probably just say no. Now that Yang thought about it a little more, she was starting to realise she wanted to go clubbing for a few hours just to unwind and have fun. She could definitely ask Nora, but then again Nora would ask to bring Ren along and Yang would end up a third wheel to their not-together togetherness. On the other hand if she asked Ren to go he'd probably just say no, and Yang would have to deal with Nora trying to break her legs until they graduated at the least.
Jaune then? He didn't seem like the type, but he was also...Jaune. By which she meant average. There was nothing wrong with that, in fact it was a good thing. He could sway either way on most things, it just depended on his mood, and that he didn't stand out too much but at the same wasn't so average he was faceless. He wouldn't draw attention like Pyrrha would, he wouldn't relegate her to third wheeling like Nora would and it wasn't like he was claimed the way Ren was by someone willing to break her legs should she take him clubbing. P-Money seemed pretty attached to him, but Yang didn't know if that was because he was her first real friend or she had a crush on him. Either way, it wasn't like she had a crush on him or he had a crush on her. Just two friends hitting the club. If anything it would help P-Money out, maybe give her the kick up the butt she needed if she really did have a crush on Jaune.
Yang stepped out of the shower, mind made up. She needed to find tall, blonde and noodley as soon as possible. But first...
Hair.
/#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/
Yang hummed a merry tune as she skipped through Beacon's halls in search of her prey. Jaune was Jaune. Jaune was many things, some good, some bad, some meh. But one of those things was predictable, and as predicted, Yang would find him in the gym. Or so she hoped.
Goodwitch hadn't found her yet, which was a relief. Yang was in too much of a good mood after her shower, her hair now dry and just right. Not wet not poofy not slick not smelly not frizzly not frazzly. Just a long mane of luscious locks that smelled like cleanliness and strawberries.
Summer liked strawberries. Sometimes she wondered if Raven did too.
Yang slammed open the doors to the gym with only slightly more force than necessary, mood plummeting faster than Blake's will to live whenever around Zwei. The gym was fairly empty, so she shrugged aside any minute embarrassment at the few startled looks she received before spotting her prey at the far side of the gym, jogging leisurely on the treadmills. Yang headed over casually, curious as to why he wasn't scared by her entrance, something that seemed in character for Beacon's resident noodle, and she found the answer in the form of the swaying head phone cord leading into the pocket of his hoodie.
Yang froze, staring unabashedly as she realised this was Jaune's hoodie with no armour covering it, it's true form in a way. It felt a little weird, seeing it without his armour on top, but it wasn't as weird as seeing Pumpkin Pete's little grin staring back at her.
How in the heck hadn't she noticed this before?
"Yang?" Jaune startled, stumbling for a moment on the treadmill, arm's flailing before grabbing onto the rail on both sides of him. He steadied himself and pulled out his ear phones as the treadmill slowed down after he pressed a button in the console. Yang waited as he slid off and gave her a curious look. "Is something wrong?"
"Bunny." Yang blurted out without thinking, and Jaune looked down at his hoodie before making a noise of realisation.
"Oh! This is Pumpkin Pete." Jaune smiled earnestly. "I got this sending in fifty cereal box tops. Neat prize right?"
"Right." Yang said slowly, brain still slowly rebooting from complete and utter shock and awe. Well less awe, more shock. "Yeah. Coolio."
"Did you want something?" He asked, and Yang was silently questioning her judgement. Bunny hoodie boy wasn't the sort of person to go clubbing.
"Uhm...Yeah?" Yang nodded slowly, before shaking her head to get her stupid brain working again. "Yeah I wanted to ask you something."
"Shoot." Jaune smiled. Yang shrugged and decided 'Why not?'
"Wanna go out clubbing tonight? Or tomorrow." Yang asked, noting how quickly he blinked with surprise. "I'd offer to go out Sunday too, but I figured you probably wouldn't want to go clubbing on a school night."
"Yeah...uhm...sure." Jaune said, looking away and scratching the back of his head. "It's just...I haven't really been before. I'm not sure what I need to do."
"Just wear something casual." Yang smiled, part of her quietly relishing the thought that popped into her head of turning Vomit Boy into a Lady Killing party animal. "Just no bunnies yeah? You want to go tonight or tomorrow?"
"I can get a shower now and we can go later I guess." Jaune replied, looking thoughtful. "Tomorrow I have a team bonding thing planned, we all take it in turns planning a day to spend with the others. It's Nora's turn this week, so I have a feeling I'll be wanting to hit the hay pretty early tomorrow."
"Fair enough." Yang snorted, punching his shoulder. "I'll pick you up at seven VB."
"Shouldn't I be doing that?" He asked, and Yang smirked.
"Only if it were a date Lady Killer." She replied with a wink, watching his cheeks flush slightly. Huh. She expected the Dork Knight to be a lost more blushing and flustered than that.
"C-Cool." Jaune coughed, and Yang relaxed a bit. That was more like it. "I'll see you later then?"
"In a while crocodile." Yang grinned, sauntering away happily enough. Tonight would be interesting to say the least.
/#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/
Yang was torn between having a fun night out with Jaune or having a fun night out teasing him. Both had their merits, but the first option meant she'd have to also spend time teaching Jaune how to have fun in a club, which wouldn't be as much fun as just teasing him would be.
She didn't want to bully the poor guy, but she also wanted to have fun, and having to teach him how to party reminded Yang all too much of the things she had had to teach Ruby when their father fell apart after Summer's death.
Then again, she had agreed to teach him what she could, and Yang Xiao-Long was not the sort of person to renege on her word. At least no without any reason to do so that was.
Jaune was the sort of person who'd keep his word to someone who had wronged him, at least if it was their first or second chance. Yang's temper, which burned hot before simmering slowly, prevented her from being so lenient herself.
The reason this was proving difficult was because it meant Yang couldn't even pass the first stage of getting ready to go out, getting dressed.
If she wanted to spend the night teasing him then she would need to wear something fairly provocative, though with how easily he flustered she wouldn't need to go too mad. If she wanted to just have fun then she'd need to wear something comfortable but not overly provocative.
Decisions, decisions.
"Ugh…just pick something already!" Riby groaned, tossing a scrunched up piece of homework at Yang from the desk Weiss was forcing her to sit at. Silver eyes squinted into a suspicious glare that Ruby probably thought was intimidating. It was like being threatened by a poodle. "I thought this wasn't a date?"
"It's not." Yang replied easily.
"Then why are you so torn up over what to wear? It's just Jaune."
"Exactly." Yang said, rolling her eyes. "It's Jaune. If I wear something that shows too much skin he'll probably just pass out with blood leaking from his nose."
"You've been watching too much of Blake's not-anime if you think that's going to happen." Weiss snarked. "Besides, Yang isn't Jaune's type."
"What do you mean?" Ruby blinked, and Yang felt her smile show off some teeth as she stared at Weiss Cream, who had slaked her annoyance at being put into detention by making Ruby do the homework for Professor Port that was due in a week.
Yang would have stepped in to help her sister if it wasn't for the fact she knew Ruby would turn to her for help at the last minute otherwise. Also that Penny confidently never showed thanks to a 'meeting' General Ironwood proved Yang's theory of Ruby lying to her to get out of going out. Oh well. Karma.
"Because Jaune displayed an annoying amount of interest in me, and I am a very different kind of lady to Yang." Weiss said in a lecturing tone, as if she was presenting a thesis or theory.
"That's one way of putting it." Yang grinned, earning a scowl. She couldn't help herself, riling up the Ice Queen was so easy. "I'm not trying to steal your friend Ruby. I promise."
"I know." Ruby said quietly, and Yang felt a twist of guilt. There had been a few…slightly more than a few occasions where friends of Ruby had become friends of Yang thanks to stupid things like crushes or her popularity. They agreed it was for the best since it meant they weren't true friends of Ruby's, but that didn't mean the pain of it happening lessened or just went away.
Yang turned away and grabbed a simple tank top and untorn blue jeans before heading to the bathroom to change. Her comfy cotton underwear was more than enough proof she had no intention of seducing Jaune, though the thought of just cancelling their outing altogether flashed through Yang's mind. She didn't want to upset Ruby, and it wasn't like they were going on a date or anything. They could always hang out some other way some other time.
She brushed her hair a bit to work out some annoying looking kinks and lightly sprayed on some perfume before stopping and sighing. She might as well just cancel tonight and take Jaune with Ruby to the arcade sometime over the weekend.
Shame. She wanted to see Vomit Boy hit the dance floor.
Her scroll buzzed against the sink. She grabbed it and turned off the alarm. Seven o'clock. Why did she just have to make up her mind now?
Yang shook her head and left the dorm, ignoring the sight of Ruby and Weiss bickering as she did so. She knocked on JNPR's door, which was opened by Pyrrha, who gave her a polite smile that didn't seem to quite reach her eyes.
"Good evening Yang." Pyrrha said politely. "I take it you're here for Jaune?"
"Is he in?"
"Is it Yang?" Jaune said, as if summoned, his tall frame appearing over behind Pyrrha with a smile on his face. "Hey Yang."
"Hey." Yang said lamely, taking in Jaune without his hoodie for what felt like the first time, discounting the times she had seen him in his uniform of course. He was wearing black jeans, a neat little change, and an untucked plain white dress shirt with the cuffs tugged up to his elbows. The top button was undone, revealing a hint of chest that looked toned. His scent was faint but musky, probably some manly cologne that was absolutely doing him favours. "I just need to get my jacket. You should do the same."
"Oh yeah!" Jaune grinned, slapping his forehead. "Thanks Yang."
"No problem." Yang smiled, turning and rushing to her dorm, hastily flinging on a leather jacket and grabbing her helmet and the spare she had for passengers for Bumblebee.
For some reason she hadn't been able to bring herself to cancel her outing with Jaune. That was fine. It's not like it was a date or anything, just two friends going out to have fun.
Blondes do have more fun, or so they say. Everything would be cool, they'd have fun and go home. Easy as pie.
They had to come back again since she forgot her keys.
/#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/ /#/
They were admitted into the Club with weary sighs and wary looks, and she was greeted by the sight of Junior slumping so much he looked like he was trying to touch the ground without bending over as she approached the bar with a confused Jaune at her side.
"Two blondes? My club isn't going to survive the night is it?" The tall man sighed, making Yang smirk and deepening the confused look on Jaune's face.
"You know what they say about blondes." Yang said, winking at Jaune and making him flush slightly. "Two Strawberry Sunrises of you please."
"They'll be on the house if you promise not to trash my place this time." Junior retorted, and Yang rolled her eyes and ignored Jaune, who's jaw had dropped to the floor.
"Deal." Yang grinned, offering her pinkie finger. Junior gave her a deadpan look before sighing a heavy sigh, as if he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, before wrapping his pinkie around hers and shaking it firmly. "Jaune? Find us somewhere to sit. I'll make sure Junior doesn't renege on his deal."
"Uhm…okay?" Jaune replied, pausing for a moment like a skittish rabbit before wandering off into the busy club.
"On the bright side it doesn't seem like you lost too much business." Yang offered, earning a dark look from Junior.
"We still lost out on nearly a month's worth of revenue whilst we rebuilt the place." Junior retorted, before gesturing to the red-tied henchmen scattered in the shadowy corners of the Club. "Not to mention I've had to up security in case some insane Huntress-in-training decides to trash the place because I don't have the information she wanted."
"Those guys? You expect them to stop moi?" Yang asked, planting a hand to her heart with an offended look on her face. "Puh-lease! They'll make good punching bags though."
"I thought you weren't going to trash my club." Junior said dryly, raising his pinkie finger and looking like he was wondering just how he had ended up in such a humiliating position.
"I'll be good." Yang smirked. "I promised didn't I? I also remember a something, something Strawberry Sunrise?"
"Working on it." Junior grunted, hand hovering over a little box of mini umbrellas. "Want one?"
"One for me and one for him." Yang nodded, and Junior plucked out the pink umbrellas before blinking.
"You have a date?" He seemed to just realise…except it wasn't! Just two friends chilling out. "Who's the unlucky guy?"
"I must have misheard that." Yang smiled sweetly. "I could've sworn you said lucky."
"That's what I meant, yeah." Junior deadpanned, eyes roving across the crowd before settling onto Jaune. "Oh no."
"He's not that bad." Yang defended with a scowl. "Besides, we're not actually on a date. Just friends."
"Really?" Junior asked, and Yang nodded, raising a brow when he sighed in relief. "What?"
"Why are you acting as if you want to date him?" Yang asked amusedly, earning a scowl from Junior.
"Of course I don't want to-I was worried you were!" Junior huffed, before pointing over her shoulder. Yang tried following where he was pointing, but the crowd on the dance floor blocked her from seeing whatever it was he could.
"Is this how Ruby feels?" Yang wondered quietly, and Junior sighed before shaking his head.
"Whatever." Junior grumbled, plopping the umbrellas into the red liquid contained in a cocktail glass. "Your not-boytoy is over there."
"Thanks." Yang rolled her eyes, skirting her way past the dance floor, keeping an eye out on the table for a familiar mop of messy blonde hair. Thanks to the shadow-like figures of most people in Vale, it was fairly easy to see Jaune through the mess.
Except for some reason he wasn't alone.
Saddled up on either side of him where the twins who's butts she had kicked so thoroughly she was certain they were still red to this day. Clearly they needed another ass-kicking if they thought they could just flirt with her friend!
And that mattered! Not because she wanted to be more than friends, or anything like that at all, but because she knew they were probably just messing with Jaune to get back at her since they knew they couldn't take her on themselves. They were targeting the weakest link! Jaune had admitted he didn't know what to do in a club so he'd be extra vulnerable to their taunting wiles! Especially when combined with his adorable social awkwardness!
Wait what?
Before her mind could register what she had thought she found herself at the table Jaune and the twins were sitting at, slamming the Strawberry Sunrises she had been carrying with slightly more force than she may have needed, causing the liquid to slosh slightly. She grinned at the twins, canines flashing from the strobing lights in the club, and they met her sharp-toothed grin with impassive looks that only slightly betrayed the fear in their eyes.
"Look what the blonde dragged in Miltia." The white-dressed one remarked dryly.
"An unwanted tagalong." The red one grumbled, sliding away from Jaune reluctantly, fingers trailing over his shoulders and hovering there as she turned to face Yang, who's teeth were grating together. "Aren't you banned?"
"Not for tonight." Yang said, sliding one of the drinks over to Jaune. "Drink up Lover Boy. You'll enjoy."
"Lover boy?" The white-dressed one blinked. "He's your boyfriend?"
"We're just friends." Jaune said awkwardly, eyeing the Strawberry Sunrise cautiously and unwittingly cutting Yang off. "Yang just likes to tease me."
"Oh." The red one, Miltia, said, eyes darting between Yang and Jaune before widening with something that seemed like realisation. Which would be wrong. Since there was nothing to realise. Just two friends having fun, one of them unwittingly getting them caught up with criminals and the other doing her best to protect the idiot to stop him from getting hurt. "Oh!"
"This is nice." Jaune blinked, staring at his Strawberry Sunrise in awe after a tentative sip. "Thanks Yang!"
"I told you I'd teach how to have fun." Yang winked, preening at the praise. "Now c'mon Lover Boy, I've gotta teach you how to dance now."
"Now?" Jaune blinked, halfway through his Sunrise after a few slurps. Yang nodded, grabbing his shoulders and heaving him over the table as easily as scooping up Ruby into the air was, ignoring his yelling as she settled him on his feet well away from the twins before guzzling down her own Sunrise and letting out a content sigh before leaving the empty glass on the table where the twins were just blinking at her in shock.
"Now." Yang grinned firmly, grabbing his hand and leading him towards the tangled mass of dancing bodies. "Show me what you've got Jaune."
They descended into the mass of flailing limbs and swaying bodies, their Sunrises giving them the liquid courage and pleasant buzz they needed to just let loose and go with the flow, to move to the rhythm of the DJ's music and not care if they were making fools of themselves. Jaune's face was flushed from how close they were to one another thanks to the tight knit, packed dance floor practically forcing them together, and staying true to her word on showing him how to have fun she planted her hands on his waist and helped him sway with her. Eventually he was capable of doing so on his own, head bopping and arms raised, a smile on his face showing how much fun he was having, and she moved her hands away from his warmth but made no effort to move any further away from him, staying chest to chest and face to face, finding herself enraptured by the simple delight on his face. He was unwinding, having fun, and part of her felt a strange sense of satisfaction at the thought that she was corrupting the nice, good boy that was Jaune Arc.
Good boy?
She stuttered as her mind came to a halt again, but the crowd didn't. She was knocked forward and into Jaune's chest, letting out a soft 'omph' as she fell headfirst into him. He stumbled but managed to catch her, and her fingers curled into his shoulders instinctively as his arms came around her waist and held her steady.
"You good?" Jaune yelled, and Yang nodded numbly before dragging him to their now empty table, the twins glowering at her from the bar.
"Let's drink some more eh?" Yang offered. "Dancing isn't the only thing you do at a club."
"Sure?" Jaune shrugged, before holding out his hand to stop her. "I'll get it this time."
"They were on the house, it doesn't count." Yang protested, but he just shook his head at her and walked away. She wanted to protest, to be a good friend and insist she get them since she was the one who invited him out, but she also wouldn't turn down a free drink and she felt like indulging Jaune's chivalrous side. Instead she settled down and waited for him to return, something that did not take long.
"How many of these can you drink?" Jaune asked, head cooked curiously as he sat down opposite Yang. "Can you even drive back at this point?"
"This is gonna be my last, and yeah, I can drive us back. It'll take more than just two Sunrises to get me tipsy sunshine." Yang winked, earning a snort and rolled eyes. "Now my apprentice, show me what you've got."
"Huh?"
"Pick up lines! Half of the people here are looking for some company, if you catch my drift. Give me some of your best pick up lines and I'll see how much work I need to put in to making you a Lady Killing machine."
"Uhm…okay?" Jaune shrugged after taking a sip from his Sunrise. He had a thoughtful expression on his face, before his eyes widened and a light bulb practically popped into existence over his head. "Got one! Ahem…Excuse me?"
"Yes?" Yang played along, wondering where this would go, cocking her head as he opened his mouth and looked like a fish.
"I think I dropped something around here...oh found it!" He grinned, pushing up his jaw whilst smiling stupidly. "I dropped my jaw because you're so beautiful! Thanks for helping me find it."
"..."
"What do you think?" Jaune asked proudly, finishing off his Sunrise, face flushed from the drink.
"..."
"Yang?"
It had to be the drink. It was better to think he was a lightweight and than to think he thought that was something he should be saying to women who were strangers.
Good lord she had her work cut out for her.
"That was...no. Just no. Never do that again Jaune." Yang replied eventually, rubbing her forehead as a headache came. She finished off her drink in the hope of forgetting what she had heard before turning towards him. "Let me show you how it's done Lover Boy."
"Surely it wasn't that bad!" Jaune protested, only to fall silent when she grabbed the front of his shirt and yanked him towards her. His eyes widened dramatically and his face turned several more shades redder than it was before.
"Hey there." Yang smirked huskily, surprised he hadn't broken eye contact with her yet.
"H-Hey!" Jaune squeaked, and her smirk deepened. She leaned forward slightly, making him tremble, but she stopped inches away from him, letting her features dominate his vision and the smell of her perfume to suffocate his scent.
"You look like fun." Yang purred, not entirely pretending. "Wanna show me a good time?"
"Ye..Uh...I...Uhm...You...We...I...Hmh..."
"I'll take that as a yes." Yang continued, leaning forward before dipping towards his ear, voice falling to a whisper. "Wanna know something else?"
"Huh-huh." Jaune nodded dumbly, valiantly not looking at the cleavage right underneath his nose. Pretty much literally as well at this point.
"That's how it's done." Yang said, before leaning away with a smug look. He blinked few times, mouth opening and closing automatically, before he leaned back and sighed.
"I have a feeling if I try to do that it'll go badly...for everyone involved." Jaune said, and Yang couldn't help but agree with him. He was a bit of a dork at the best of times, and a more aggressive strategy might end up making him look predatory in the wrong way.
"Well, we just need to find the right approach for you then." Yang shrugged, trying not to preen. "What do you think then?"
"Sounds like a good plan." Jaune shrugged, moving to take another sip of his drink before she tapped his arm lightly with her fist. "Ow! What was that for!"
"I might my strategy dumbass." Yang snorted, crossing her arms as if she was in a huff. Which she wasn't.
"Why?" Jaune asked, face turning red again, a look she was starting to really enjoy on him.
"I wanna know if it'll work." Yang shrugged, raising a brow at him. "So? Did it work?"
"Mhm-hum." Jaune admitted, embarrassment written on his face. "Happy now? Stop fishing for compliments."
"Am not." Yang totally did not lie.
"Sure you are." Jaune rolled his eyes, drinking some more of his Sunrise. "What should I do then? Flirting wise?"
"Be yourself." Yang shrugged. "But not too much. Dorky is cute but too much is awkward. Just like my strategy can backfire and make me look like a creep if I push too strongly."
"So be half of me?" Jaune asked, and Yang snorted before nodded.
"That doesn't mean waddle around on your knees by the way." Yang chuckled at the thought of him doing so around the club. "Jeez you're a lightweight."
"Nuh-uh!" Jaune protested, and she shook her head at him.
"You so are." She retorted teasingly. "Two Sunrises and you're already wibbley wobbly."
"Am not!"
"Prove it then." Yang shrugged. "Go to the bar, get a drink and come back without spilling it."
"Just you watch!" Jaune responded to her challenge with a pointed finger. "I'll be there and back in no time."
To be fair to him, he was. On the other hand, he had two shot glasses in each hand.
"Oh no." Yang blinked, knowing this wouldn't end well.
"Whiskey." Jaune said, tipping the glass back and downing it hole before slamming the empty glass on the table in front of her. "Tequila."
"Jaune-oh gods." Yang blinked as he downed the tequila and put the empty shot glass next to the former whiskey shot. He didn't even cough or splutter, a thoughtful on his face.
"Tastes like medicine." He wondered thoughtfully. "Wait...was mom not joking when she said that was special medicine? Oh no..."
"Jaune?" Yang asked tentatively, and his eyes quickly fixated on her. An easy smile spread across his face, and it was clear he was being hit hard by the pleasant heat that came after strong drinks.
"Hey there." He winked, and it took her a moment to realise he was turning the tables on her.
"Hey." Yang blinked, taken aback when he leaned forward slightly, smile still on his face. He looked drunk, but there was a strange clarity in his eyes.
"You look pretty." He smiled. "Also you smell nice."
"Thanks?"
"You too." Jaune nodded, and Yang let out a deep exhale.
"I think this party is over." Yang said, standing up and wrapping an arm around Jaune's waist to help drag him along. "Come on Lover Boy."
"M'kay." Jaune agreed contentedly, waving at the bar. Yang turned and saw Junior waving back, giving her a sly grin when she noticed her glare.
He'd given Jaune the strong stuff to get rid of them quicker. Clever bastard.
Yang grumbled and Jaune mumbled next to her, trying to make conversation with her muttered cursing. She was slightly worried he'd fall off of Bumblebee, but after strapping the spare helmet to his head and plopping him behind her he leaned forward and wrapped his arm over her stomach, holding tight but not too tight and letting his head rest against her back.
"You smell really nice." Jaune sighed contentedly, head nuzzling against her shoulder slightly and making her freeze. "Like a field of flowers in spring."
"T-Thanks." Yang coughed, before shaking her head. "We really need to get you back to Beacon before you pass out."
"Too late." Jaune mumbled, and Yang sighed as she felt him breathing softly against her.
She had a bad feeling she was going to be reacquainted with Vomit Boy again.

She did not in fact get reacquainted with Vomit Boy again, much to the good fortune of the both of them. Instead she had to carry Jaune like a princess after exiting the Bullhead, having managed to sooth Jaune's sleepy grumbles by running a hand through his hair, mussing it up. She doubted she'd see it so neat again for a while, which was a shame, but at the same time she enjoyed the mussed up hair left by her stroking hands much better.
Thankfully no-one was awake at this point, and Beacon was quiet. She didn't want anyone taking photos of this, knowing they'd just embarrass Jaune. Part of her also wanted to just keep the moment to themselves.
There was a dilemma though, one she hadn't thought of until she reached their dorms.
How was she going to put Jaune to bed? Each dorm could only be unlocked via their Scrolls, and she didn't know Jaune's password, meaning Juniper's door was firmly shut. There was also the fact that her bed was only held up by enough books to support her weight, and that she couldn't just shove him in bed with Weiss or Blake.
Struggling to think of a solution, she tentatively knocked on Juniper's dorm. Minutes passed without answer, and Yang sighed before turning to her own room.
"I'm going to get killed for this." She grumbled, poking Jaune's cheek warily. "You're more trouble than you're worth you know?"
Jaune mumbled sleepily, rolling his head against her shoulder.
"Sweet talker." Yang snorted, shaking her head before entering her dorm. She was met by snores and so she moved quietly towards her bed, clambering up the windowsill to lift herself up and shoving Jaune into her bed. The bunk bed creaked ominously before falling silent, and she quickly got changed into something not smelling of sweat and booze before clambering into bed with Blake, who grumbled in her sleep.
"As if this doesn't happen in your books." Yang grumbled in turn, rolling over so they were back to back. "I'll get you some tuna okay kitty cat?"
She could feel Blake's ears twitching through their now shared pillow, and she had to fight not to start laughing.
Something nagged at her, so she quietly left her new bed and peered up at the figure sleeping in her actual bed, sprawled across it haphazardly. She sighed before silently moving him into a more comfortable position after throwing off his shoes, topping it off by pulling her duvet over his chest and tucking him into bed.
"Sweet dreams Lover Boy." Yang whispered quietly. "Thanks for a fun time out."
Drool trickled from Jaune's open mouth.
"Too you too." She said quietly, crawling back in next to Blake and ignoring the fact she was pretending the warmth from Blake's body belonged to the person sleeping on top of them.
The next morning, Beacon was awoken by a shrill, shocked scream and a shrill, confused scream as Weiss yanked the covers off of Yang's bed to reveal a different blonde slumbering there.
