AURA WARS REVAMP!
A/N Hello everyone yes you are reading this correctly this is not a drill. I've decided to revamp Pokemon aura wars. With the now canonical end to the series I think it's time that I step up and revamp my own. I did this in Highschool at the beginning and I think I've grown as a writer. I hope you enjoy,
Chapter start:
10 years…that's all it took ten years…
Ash Ketchum. Now 20 stood overlooking Pallet town his home town. Standing on the roof of his family house he watched the sunset from his room.
Boy how time had flown by… it seemed just like yesterday that he was walking with misty to pewter city. And now he's The Monarch, the number one best trainer in the entire world. The fight he had with Leon was just that, Epic. And it really put everything he had learned in that time to the test.
Ash nearly thought he had lost in that last second when Pikachu and Charzard had collided.
He had felt the blood rush to his ears his only thought was 'please be ok…please be ok…' winning was the farthest thing from his mind.
Then the announcement that he had won. And it finally hit him.
He had completed his dream.
The afterparty was something to behold Lèon had finally been dethroned and the New Monarch had to be crowned.
The Coronation ceremony was broadcasted across the world. Infact from what Goodshow had told him. There were more people watching him get crowned than there were people tuning in for the fight.
Ash would never understand the metrics of that. As he remembered the ceremony
(Flashback: Ash's hotel 4 days after the battle with Leon.)
Ash laid down on his bed panting with Pikachu at his side "boy that was rough." He said
"Pika!" Pikachu sighed
They had just come from the dinning room after Dinner was served. He just wanted a meal,
Instead he got bombarded with questions about how the fight went.
'He'd already had 4 interviews with every reporter asking one million questions about the fight and even after couldn't he have a bit of peace?'
Honestly when the battle with Leon ended he had told Ash about the reporters but he didn't fully understand exactly what he was talking about!
Heck he couldn't even go out in Pallet town without someone asking him to sign something. PALLET TOWN! the most remote place in the known world aside from Mount Silver practically.
One question in the interview's Ash had however kept popping up in his mind.
"Mr Ketchum, what are you gonna do now?"
'What now?'
'What now.'
(Flashback end)
It was a simple honest question. What now?
Yet every time he was asked it it always flummoxed him. He'd go blank and just answer.
"I don't know?"
He knew it was kinda rude but it was his genuine answer. He didn't know. It's not like he had to do anything, he had gotten enough prize money over the years to live a comfortable lifestyle in pallet for the rest of his days.
But did he really want to do that?
Everytime he thought about it, the same answer kept coming back to him.
'No. No, he had gotten used to traveling, and the more he thought about it he knew that deep down he was a nomad at heart. That's why he rarely stayed at the house after each league before going on the next. He knew that his mother had worried about him but deep down he also knew he'd be miserable staying at home.
Of course he'd been lucky that for some Arceus reason he'd always have something to do next. A task for Professor Oak, another League to conquer,
But it had been 2 years now sense the last adventure. Something that he hated to admit but he was starting to go stir crazy.
And he believed his girlfriend was picking up on that as well bless her heart after his mother had died She decided to move in with him.
It made the house just a bit less lonely.
He thought about the past and what exactly had caused the events to trigger to cause him and his now girlfriend to confess to each other. It was both pleasant and most painful.
Mostly painful because how he should have seen it coming from a mile away. But either by nativity, or looking at the good in people. He missed it.
And people died because of it.
That was two years ago
(Flashback)
(2 years ago: Project Mew HQ, Kanto)
"We've got a lead!" Professor Amaranth leader of Project Mew said as he sent out a message to all agents about a new sighting.
At the time Goh was still at the facility. He had achieved the rank of Chaser.
Ash having been crowned as Monarch could barely go out in public without getting swarmed. So he mostly called in from his residence because he was interested in the project.
Goh was quiet excited as he ran in with Ash on the phone
"Where?" He asked
"I'm tracking it now…" Professor Amaranth said as he started to rapidly type on his computer.
"There! Location pinged here in Kanto!"
"Wait here?!" Goh asked getting excited that it was so close.
"Want me to come over and try to help you catch it?" Ash asked
The professor was about to think but Goh beat him too it.
"Oh can you with the Monarch with us we're bound to catch Mew!" He said
The professor sighed "I guess it makes sense. I'll send you the coordinates Ash and you can meet the chasers there."
Ash got off the phone and sighed as he stood up from the kitchen table. His mother and his guest Serena looked at him
"What was that about?" His mother asked
"Goh's little project had another ping, and he's showing up somewhere nearby. I'm going to go and help them out." Ash said
"Goh's project. You don't mean the one that has him looking for The legendary Pokémon Mew?" Serena asked
"Legendary Pokémon?" Delia asked growing a bit concerned.
Ash sighed "Yes that one Serena, Goh's been hellbent on finding and catching Mew since I first met him. It's all he ever thinks about."
"Isn't that dangerous?" Serena asked
Ash nodded "highly." He said
"And you're okay with this!?" Delia asked Accusingly concerned for her child's wellbeing. And the safety of others.
"Of course not mom! You know as well as I do exactly how dangerous Legendary Pokémon are. Both of you know, but with the amount of experience I have with such situations. I feel I should be responsible and make sure no one gets hurt." Ash said
"And your sure your not trying to play hero again?" Serena mumbled under her breath
But apparently not low enough as Ash turned to her with a glare.
"No Serena, I'm not trying to be a hero, I never have been, I'm just trying to make sure my friends get out alive." He said
Serena looked at the table ashamed, she knew Ash was like that, but no matter every time he sees him go out into danger. Just the times he was in danger in there adventures in Kalos was enough to make her heart stop,
Serena nodded before standing up "Well in that case I'm coming with you." She said
Ash looked at her shocked
"Oh don't look at me like that Ash of course I'm not leaving you alone, your mother would kill me if I stayed home. And besides if you do get hurt I can drag you back home and say I told you so." Serena said with a wink.
Ash groaned "Serena."
"If you don't let her go I'm gonna mandate it." Deila said
Seeing no other alternative Ash relented.
"Very well but I want you to understand. We may be walking into another Kalos crisis here. So If I tell you do something don't question me ok?"
Serena nodded
"Good now I'm off to the Ranch to get the pokemon I'll need. Do you want to meet me there or?"
As ash said this Serena was returning her pokemon to her belt and looked at Ash expectantly.
Ash nodded "Then let's go." He said as they stepped out of the house and down the road.
On the way to Oak's ranch/Lab a short person with a hood bumped into Ash nearly sending him downwards but the man caught him.
Ash looked at the man and was shocked to see it was a Lucario.
As Ash made eye contact he felt a voice probe his mind.
"Stand strong, chosen one, for your about to face a dire event that will change you. Know there are people in the shadows who believe in you, and will fight for what you fight for."
Ash stayed still as he noticed Lucario had slipped a piece of paper into his jacket.
"Stay strong Ash ketchum for where there is darkness, there is always light."
And with that the connection was gone and Lucario kept walking.
Serena turned around wanting to yell at the man for being rude as Ash just stood there processing what happened.
"Hey get back here!" Serena yelled
"Serena leave it." Ash said making Serena turn around.
"But Ash, that man was rude." Serena said
"It doesn't matter, we don't have much time." He said as he started to run towards the lab.
Ash was starting to get a bad feeling in his stomach…
He just hoped he was wrong.
After a few minutes Ash came back out with a full belt of pokeballs and pikachu on his shoulder.
"So who did you pick?" Serena asked
"Well there's our ride first off." Ash said as he tossed one Pokéball to reveal his Charzard who greeted him like always with a flamethrower to the face.
Ash puffed out a face of soot "every time!" He groaned making Serena giggle.
"Then we have Lucario, Infernape, Dragonite, And Greninja." Ash said
Serena nodded "those are all good picks are you sure they can handle this?"
Ash nodded "I picked each one knowing there experience facing legendaries, the only ones who are not are Lucario and Dragonite and they have the backing of the rest of the team." Ash said
Pikachu cheered on his shoulder.
Serena nodded "ok so in that case where are we off to?" She asked
"According to this…the forest between Johto and Kanto." He said as he got on Charzard and then helped Serena on.
"Hold on." He said as Serena wrapped her hands around Ash's waist. As Charzard kicked off.
(Flashback end)
'Oh now those times were better then.' He thought sadly.
He looked in his pocket he was wearing the same jacket he had worn exactly two years ago. As he remembered the note.
Ash looked at the note which had been forgotten all that time and noticed it had the symbol of the Aura guardians on it. As well as the Royal sigil of Rota.
The letter was held together with actual wax as well.
Ash broke the wax seal and read the letter it was written just as mysterious as the Lucario that gave it to him.
"In the shadows we fight. In the darkness we are the light, what you faced before was indeed a tragedy, but please know I don't disregard your efforts, but events it will happen again. And if you want to prevent people from getting hurt you know where to find us."
The letter wasn't signed.
Ash closed the letter.
"Well I guess this is it." He said
"Pika?" Pikachu said from behind Ash as he turned around and spotted Pikachu looking out the window onto the roof where Ash was.
"Oh sorry pikachu did I scare you?" He asked walking back inside
"Pika-pika-pi-pika-chuuu!" The electric Rat said as Ash brushed the head of his partner as he hopped inside the house.
Ash smiled even as he spend 2 decades with pikachu it was always on and off whether or not he understood him or not.
Still he got the general jist, pikachu had been worried. And he had a feeling everyone was.
"I'm ok pikachu, I think I know what we need to do next too." He said
Pikachu looked up at Ash. As he flashed the letter to Pikachu.
He looked up "now we just need to tell Serena." He said 'I wonder how that's gonna go?' He thought
As if the universe wasn't going let him try to get out of it Serena called to him from downstairs
"Ash Dinner!"
"Ok I'll be right there!" Ash said as he turned around and shut the window.
"Come on pikachu. Let's go eat." He said as he and his buddy walked down the stairs to the kitchen.
He entered and saw that Serena was standing over a pot of stew apron wrapped around some of the most casual clothes that she owned. Athletic pants. And a pink shirt.
However no matter what she wore Serena always found a way to knock his socks off. And she knew this too.
"Hello dear." Ash said as he pressed himself to Serena's back.
Serena spun around and found herself enveloped in a kiss.
Pikachu saw this and stuck his tounge out in disgust at the lovely couple playfully as he walked over to his food bowl. While Ash and Serena played tounge tied.
However with Ash it was a ruse. As his hand crept around the back of Serena and got higher and higher towards her neck.
'Slap!'
Ash threw his head back breaking off the kiss in shock as Serena gave him a light glare
"You can wait till we sit down to eat Ash." Serena said
Ash huffed as he looked at Serena.
"What gave me away this time?" He asked disappointed his ruse to get a quick sample of her cooking had failed
Serena smiled "your tongue wasn't as energetic." She said
Ash blinked before he retorted "how do you mean by that?"
Serena giggled and looked playfully at Ash before she went back to her work serving the Food.
Ash sat at the table as Serena brought two bowls over and set them down putting one in front of ash and the other infront of her own place.
However there was a third empty place at the end of the table. Unoccupied.
Ash and Serena looked at the empty chair for a moment both of them having a hard time looking away from it before Pikachu broke the somber tone with a cheer.
Serena was the first to speak. "The stew is getting cold."
Ash nodded albeit slightly less enthusiastic as before.
They ate in silence for a few minutes enjoying each other's company.
Ash looked at his beautiful girlfriend and looked on the wall to see a strip of photos lined up with Ash and Serena.
Serena was wearing a stunning Red dress with black outlines and red heels with Pink teardrop earrings. And a small crown on her head.
Ash had his usual attire on. But the only difference is that he wore a crown as well to signify he was the monarch.
This was taken the day that Serena was declared Kalos Queen after beating Aria in a showcase.
The entire strip was a cute reel of photos with pikachu waving
Until the last two which had Ash and Serena kissing which had a reaction of Pikachu blushing before fainting off Ash's shoulder…
That happened just before the events two years ago. It was the day after that photo that Ash asked Serena to come to Kanto with him. Before he asked her to be his girlfriend.
Serena poked Ash's cheek to get him out of his ruse as he shook his head he noticed Serena looked at him concerned.
"Are you okay ash you seem to be spacing out again."
Ash nodded "yeah sorry I'm just remembering…" He said
Serena got a sad look in her eye.
"Ash there was nothing you could've done…" Serena said putting a hand on Ash's
Ash looked at Serena confused.
"Um I was thinking about when you won the title Kalos Queen." He said
Serena blushed realizing that he wasn't thinking about what she thought he was she looked away.
"I'm sorry." She said
Ash smiled as he took another spoonful of soup.
Before looking back to the empty seat.
"Do you think she's happy?" He asked
Serena looked back at him and then at the chair then back at Ash.
"I think that no matter what. Your mother would've be proud of you."
Ash sighed and looked up "I wish she could've been here." He said
Serena laid a hand on his
"Ash I know, but she died protecting you, she loved you very much."
Ash nodded
"I'm thinking on leaving." He said trying to change the topic as well as trying to break the news to Serena lightly.
He knew this was the dangerous part of he said the wrong thing Serena would get the wrong idea which would lead to an argument which might have either of them say something they would regret…
"Ok" Serena said calmly. Taking a sip of water
Ash blinked "as he processed what she had said
"Ok?" He asked
Serena nodded "yes. I'm ok with it?" She said
"But you don't even know where?" Ash thought.
Serena nodded "yep I know."
"And you're actually okay with this?" He asked
Serena smiled at Ash.
"Love. You've been miserable for the past 3 years sense we moved here and I took up the guest room. I know you Ash. You want adventure. I'm the same." She said
Ash nodded "thanks love. I know it will be dangerous but I'm gonna be careful." He said
Serena sighed "I knew that it was going to be too good to be true to ask you to not get into trouble." She said before looking at Ash seriously
"Just… make sure it's not another Project mew incident."
Ash nodded.
(Flashback Two Years ago: the forest between Johto and Kanto.)
Ash and Serena landed in a clearing in the forest as Ash hopped off Charzard and helped Serena off before retiring the fire type.
"Any idea where Goh and the others are?" Serena asked looking around
Suddenly there was a big gust of wind as both Serena and Ash braced themselves for a second before looking up and seeing a huge twin rotor hellacopter in the air above them. On the undercarriage was a shipping container
Ash also couldn't help but notice the helicopter was armed.
Inside the cabin was Goh waving to them
And the feeling of dread washed over Ash and settled in the pit of his stomach…
The helicopter landed dropping off the shipping container before the Helicopter itself landed besides it.
Goh hopped out of the helicopter before the vehicle had time to settle on the ground as he ran to Ash.
"Oh Ash you've got to see this. Everyone is here!" He said pulling Ash towards the helicopter as the pilot door opened and Professor Amaranth hopped out. Along with the rest of the crew.
"A lot of heavy equipment here." Ash said nonpluses by the amount of gear the team brought with them.
"We only got one shot at this so what I wanna make this count." The Professor said as he walked over to the Storage container.
Ash looked over to the rest of the crew and found that besides regarding Professor Amaranth, Gary oak, Danika, Quillion, Horace and Goh he didn't really know anyone and even of those he only knew two of them truly well.
Ash also noticed Chloe was there to.
"Chloe what are you doing here?" Ash asked
"Well Professor Amaranth asked me to be here as support for Goh."
Ash narrowed his eyes 'something is off…Chloe usually never joins this stuff…'
By the time he looked back Chloe and Goh were having an animated conversation with each other.
Ash looked around with the others and noticed that everyone else was also having conversations, there seemed to be a lot of other chasers here. As Ash counted 50
"So what's the goal here?" Ash asked
Suddenly Professor Amaranth spoke up to get everyone's attention
"Alright listen up! It's been a few years since I called you all here, infact it was before the new monarch had been crowned. We had an encounter with Mew. And from that encounter we had been able to take some signatures of Mew's Psychic residence." He said
"Recently there have been a lot of Psychic blasts devastating one's at that and it seems that after further study it seems to resonate with Mew."
"Wait, mew is causing this?" One of the chasers asked
"We don't know that." The professor said, trying to calm everyone down.
"You think Mew is in danger?" Gary asked
"Or the very least feels threatened." The professor said before he announced "let's spread out and Search the area. The sooner we find Mew the sooner we can figure out what's going on!" He said
"Danika, Quillion, can you help me here?"
Everyone nodded and went off in separate directions
Ash looked at Gary who noticed his pensive attitude and came over to him.
"What is it?" Gary asked
"I have a bad feeling…stay alert out there." He said
Gary looked at Ash stunned but realized Ash was serious he nodded and headed into the forest.
"Gary!" Ash said
Gary stopped and looked back
"If Mew is in fact in danger you better catch it." He said
Gary understanding Ash wasn't saying this lightly nodded and ran off.
Ash turned back to The Professor and the two chasers unloading there gear out of the storage unit as Serena came up to him.
"What is it?" She asked
"It might be nothing but I'm getting alot of team Flare vibes from the Professor. Do you mind staying here and keeping an eye on him while I shadow Goh?"
Serena froze staring at Ash, Did he actually believe that the professor would do something like this?
Ash looked over to her with a grim look on his face.
"Listen absolute power corrupts absolutely. And there's nothing quiet like absolute power than a legendary Pokémon." He said "we know this think about Zygarde
Serena thought back to the devastation team Flare created trying to manipulate Zygarde.
"Mew is Zygarde on steroids Serena. If Mew's in danger the world is in danger." He said hammering home exactly how important this is.
Serena nodded and gave Ash the thumbs up she would trust him as Ash smiled "thanks Serena good luck." He said before he turned to the forest.
"Ash…do you really think Mew is in danger?"
"I'm not sure…but I don't want to risk it." He said
Ash turned and walked into the forest.
Ash found Goh and Cinderance not too faraway. Looking around
"Goh." Ash said, making the other boy turn to him.
"Hey Ash." He said
Ash looked at Goh "Goh why did you come here?" He asked
Goh looked at Ash confused "what do you mean why did I come here?" He asked
"Goh you told me what happened last time you had an encounter with Mew, and you also said you had enough with him." Ash said
"But Mew's in danger Ash!" Goh argued.
"Are they?" Ash asked making Goh pause.
"What do you mean?" He asked
"Goh. Mew is a very Very powerful Pokémon and from what you told me and from what I know about all my encounters with Legendaries Mew was holding back." Ash said
Goh was stunned
"Mews primary goal is to help balance the world. You understand that, while other legendaries are for the role of taming there out of control counterparts. Luigia and Rayquaza specifically I can think of right now. Mew is to make sure legendaries like those as well as ones such as Zyguarde don't run rampant." Ash explained.
Goh gulped "so the hyperbeam that mew was gonna blast at me?"
"Oh no, had you not said anything you'd likely be dead. But the fact remains that you barely got out with your life." Ash said
Goh nodded "so what exactly are you here for?"
Ash sighed "to make sure all of you get home safely." He said
Goh nodded "so what's the plan?"
Ash sighed "this sort of situation is something I've seen before. Don't trust the professor. Either his intentions are less than pure. Or that there is someone else puppeting him."
Goh nodded "and what about Mew?"
"Find him as fast as possible and pray we're not too late…" ash said glad he got Goh to understand the situation without devolving into an argument.
(Project Mew's Forward operations base.)
Professor Amanrath opened the back half of the shipping container to reveal a weapons armory with a ton of assault rifles and riot gear armor.
From behind him Danika and Quillion stepped up.
"Gear up search for mew and bring him to me. Take this." He said before Handing Danika a sickly looking Mew,
"This will act as a decoy as we take the real Mew into custody if all goes right it will look as if Mew had died of a accident or natural causes and after our experiment's we'll release Mew back into the wild."
The two nodded and walked inside getting dressed up.
Serena walked over to the back to see the two getting dressed up she had a pair of glasses on her face and a digital clipboard making her look more like a reporter than a standard civilian.
"What's going on?" She asked
"There has been a major accident and we're going out to assist bring them back." The professor coveres for them.
"Ok…but what's with the Gun's?"
"More substantial deterrents. If Mew is rampaging we can't expect it to stop attacking us to pull out people out." He said as he handed the two Mags for there rifles which they slung over their shoulders.
"Be safe out there." He said to the chasers
Danika and Quillion nodded as they walked into the forest.
The professor looked at Serena
"Madam please return to the others it's not safe here."
Serena nodded as the professor locked up the container Serena kept her eyes on the wall of weapons… and tapped the side of her glasses before the door was fully shut.
With Ash and Goh the two were walking keeping apt attention to their surroundings
"Any luck?" Ash asked
"No what about you?" Goh said
Ash shook his head before he got a message on his phone.
He looked at it and saw an image that immediately made his blood run cold.
Guns and lots of guns…
Goh seeing his face asked him
"Ash what is it?"
"Trouble." He said closing his phone,
"Like what?" Goh asked
"Let me handle that part I want you to focus on finding Mew." Ash said
Goh nodded "got it." He said as he took a step toward the forest
"Hey Ash?" Goh said
Ash looked up and noticed out in the trees was a hooded figure.
Ash didn't know exactly how he knew but he knew it was the same lucario from before.
Goh grabbed his pokeballs thinking it might be a threat but Ash walked past him addressing him.
"Are you here to help?" He asked making Goh look up shocked
The figure said nothing.
"It's not in your nature to abandon… you know he's hurt… you know I'm your nature you need to help." Ash said
Lucario turned towards the two and raised a paw and guestured them forward.
Ash nodded and began to run Goh confused still followed, with Lucario leading.
"Ash what is going on?"
"I'm not sure exactly but it seems urgent if he's here." Ash said
Goh was just more confused.
Danika and Quillion were pushing through the brush there each one had a rangefinder in there hands.
"Hey Danika." Quillion said
"Yeah?" Danika asked
"Do you think these suits will work?"
"They better after spending 10 plus years of R&D and having far too many nosey chasers to get the materials required for it to function. They better stand up to Mew's attacks…" Danika said before stopping "Traps just ahead." He said
The two silently put there helmets on with a hiss as the environmental suits sprang to life.
"Activate HUD." Danika said as the visor gave all sorts of status and readings.
The two unslung there rifles and proceeded forward.
They walked past the brush and found thee Target indeed Mew had sprung the trap and was contained in a light box prison as it slammed its body against the sides of the cage it was clear it had been going at this for hours with the amount of bruising it had.
Mew looked and noticed it was no longer alone and turned invisible trying to trick the ones there into thinking it had teleported away and unlocking the box so it really could escape.
However the two just looked at each other and tapped the sides of their helmets to reveal a thermal imaging system. Which showed that that Mew was still safely contained in the trap.
"Target secure." Danika said
"Roger Specter 1, I'm going to retrieve it." Quillion said
Danika knelt down and began to scan the surroundings for hostile as Quillion approched the trap.
When he reached the trap and picked it up he gave his report to the boss.
"Target secure." He said
{"good work deploy the decoy and make your way back to the FoB teams 1 and 3 are gearing up as we speak. With The Monarch here it's no doubt we'll be discovered…but we should be long gone by then."} Professor Amanrath said on the other end.
"Got it boss Specter 2 out." Quillion said as he cut the line before giving Specter 1 several military hand signals.
In an instant the sound of leaves and Specter 1 was beside his compatriot. As they reached behind them and pulled out an Incubator and revealed a Sickly Mew. As they uncapped the incubator and slowly lowered the Mew into the ground. Before they stood up. And left,
A few moments later Ash, Goh and Lucario came sprinting out of the forest. To where Mew was.
"There he is!" Ash called as he ran to Mews side.
New was rolling on the ground cluching his stomach face scrunched up in pain.
Goh and Lucario joined Ash soon after.
"Can you do anything?" Goh asked
"Let's see…" ash said as he reached for his bag to bring out a potion.
Meanwhile Lucario was looking at Mew and noticed something was off… with Mew.
Ash and Goh looked determined to Mew as they sprayed the potion at the wound.
Still Mew wasn't getting any better.
And then the contents of the potion was used up
And mew still wasn't getting better.
"Ash!" Goh said as he realized the potion had run out.
"Shit!" Ash cursed as he began digging into his bag for another potion
"Come on. Ash Mew's dying!" Goh said
"I'm going as fast as I can!" Ash said as he reached for the potion and went to spray it again only for Mew's tail to stop it…
The boys looked at it and back at mew.
Mew looked at the two having a weak and pale complexion, shook its head, it was in terrible pain and knew that the potion wouldn't help.
Mew went limp in Ash's arms as Goh gasped Ash bent his head down in solemn prayer as Mew died in his arms…
Goh looked at Ash and noticed his expression was unreadable,
Goh spoje softly afraid that doing so would Incure the monarch's wrath.
"Ash."
Ash stood up. As Lucario elbowed him and pointed off into the forest again
"What's Lucario saying?" Goh asked
Before he could even get an answer Lucario went sprinting out into the forest.
Ash and Goh followed.
(Project Mew FOB)
Serena was getting more and more nervous, she noticed that more and more of the International chasers were getting geared up in the same outfits as Danika and Quillion,
However with Chloe being there Serena had to stay with her she dare not risk her safety.
She just had to hope that Ash had everything under control.
Chloe sighed "when is Goh gonna get back?" She asked
Serena put an arm on her shoulder making Chloe look up to her and see her pensive look.
"No matter what happens everything is going to be fine…" Serena said.
Back with Ash and Goh Lucario lead them to Specter 1&2 as they were crossing a stream Specter 2 handed the trap to Specter 1
Ash gasped as he noticed inside the trap was Mew, unconscious.
They had been duped.
Ash stormed forward to confront the two
"Hey!" He yelled
Both Specter's snapped a look behind them raising there Guns to point at Ash.
"What do you want Civilian move along!" Specter 1 said
"What are you doing with Mew!" Ash yelled
"It's Sick and needs to be taken in for treatment!" They said
"Oh kinda like the dead one here in my arms!?" Goh roared as he threw down the decoy Mew.
"Your attempting to kidnap Mew! Admit it!" Goh roared
"Drop your weapons and let Mew go!"
The two Specter agents laughed "kid your not one to talk we got two guns leveled at your face, we could shoot you and leave you for dead in an instant."
"Irontail!" Ash said randomly
"What? 2 the cage!" Specter 1 said as above them Pikachu fell out of the trees Tail shining of Steel as Pikachu flipped head over head and went to break the cage.
Unfortunately Specter 2 had moved there hand to the handle right as Pikachu swung
'Crack!'
"Argh!" Specter 2 yelled as his wrist bent In an awkward angle. As he delivered a swift punch to Pikachu's Kisser making the rat fly into a tree.
Specter 1 checked up on his teammate.
"Are you ok?" He asked
"I'll live!" Specter 2 said
"PIKACHU!" Ash yelled as he tried to run to his firend.
The two specters opened fire making Ash veer off and hide behind a tree.
He looked back to see Goh and Lucario were behind another tree Goh looking terrified and Lucario looking enraged at the crooks.
Ash sighed looks like he was on his own.
Ash sent out his own Lucario who nodded and pinned itself againt the tree.
"Be careful don't get shot, circle around and grab pikachu! Do not go for mew." Ash hissed
Lucario nodded and ran into one of the bushes
At the same time Ash tossed out another Pokéball.
"Greninja water shuriken!" Ash called as Greninja jumped out already in Ash-Greninja form and flew the blade of Liquid water at the opponents
"Specter 1!" The other yelled as as they pushed there ally out of the line of fire to be covered in smoke!
"No!" Specter one said as he turned back around and continued to fire to pin Ash behind the tree. Specter 1 found specter 2 in critical condition but alive and able to move.
"You got to get out of here." Specter one said
"But what about you?"
"Forget about me, cover the mission, extract the target. I'll keep the monarch here." He said
Specter 2 nodded "you better not die." They said before they ran off carrying Mew.
"Wasn't planning on it." Specter 1 said as he changed his mag.
Ash hissed as he noticed that one of them was getting away with mew.
"Greninja Aerial ace!" Ash yelled before he did something stupid.
He charged into the line of fire.
"Ash Wait!" Goh yelled!
He was fortunate that Specter 1 snapped his rifle up to fire upon Greninja who was falling towards him.
Everyone happened all at once there was a pattering of gunshots and a Fist impacting on metal and a loud Grunt.

Professor Amranrath was typing on the computer when he got a call from his specters
"Go ahead!"
{"this is specter 2, on route back to FoB monarch has found us! Package in hand, be ready for hot take off!"}
'Shit this wasn't going good.'
"Acknowledged Specter 2 we'll have the welcoming mat out. HQ over." The professor ended the call and looked over he hated to do this but he needed to as he brushed away his coat to reveal his sidearm secured to his sides feeling the lingering presence his hid it again and stepped out of the Mobile command center.
He approached Chloe and Serena.
"Ah Young Miss, you're a journalist are you not?" He said to Serena.
Serena looked up and nodded
"Excellent. How would you like to do an interview? I'm sure you got a ton of questions about why we're out here." The Professor said giving a nice big smile.
Serena immediately heard alarm bells going off in her mind saying 'this is a trap, this is a trap,' however she was deep undercover and she couldn't expose herself just yet she had to protect Chloe.

"Excellent, why don't you bring Chloe and yourself along and we can conduct the interview right now." He said

Ash stood over the limp body of Specter 1 how fully unmasked to be Danika.
Ash was vivid, he was shaking in rage as he looked over to the left to see Greninja was lying on the ground. With a single gunshot wound to the head.
Ash decided there was enough dancing around the matter as he pulled out his phone to call Serena.

In the helicopter Chloe shriveled up at the presence of the Gun where as Serena sat stoically,
"It's gonna be very soon that all of what happens will be behind us and we'll live in better times." Professor Amaranth said
Suddenly Serena's phone began to Ring.
"It's Ash." Serena said
"Put him on Speaker." The professor said
Serena did so and Ash spoke.
"What have you done to Mew, Professor Amaranth?" Ash asked
{"well well well seems we weren't as sneaky as we thought we were…tell me Monarch what gave us away?"} Ash heard from the receiver
"Lucky guess Amaranth" Ash said as he stood over the Body of Danika. As Pikachu hopped up Ash's shoulder and Lucario returned himself to his Pokéball.
"What do you plan to use Mew for?"
{"To make revolutionary changes to the scientific community."} Amaranth said
"Mew is important to the ecosystem return him now or I'll have to get involved." Ash said
{" you don't have to at all Ash, I promise once the studying with Mew is finished we'll release it back into the wild no no harm done to it."}
"Do you know the last group of people who tried to capture Mew who they were?" Ash asked
{"no do tell me so I can compare notes with them."} Professor Amaranth said still pointing his gun at the two girls.
{"Team Rocket, they cloned him and made a duplicate out of the same DNA."} He said
"Interesting…" Amranrath said
"Anyone who is willing to kill pokemon are not good people in my books." Ash said
"Oh, is this about the decoy? Look the Mew placed there was just a robot, something to act and look like the real thing. It's not real. I have no evil intentions with my hunt for Mew, so there's nothing personal about this Ash." The professor said
"That's where you're wrong." Ash said, making Amaranth pause. Allowing Ash to continue

In the helicopter Professor Amranrath looked unnerved by Ash's threat.
{"you can put Serena back on the phone now."} Ash said
Serena turned off the speaker and pressed the phone to her ear "I'm here Ash." She said

Amaranth hissed "damn it no one was supposed to die. Dammit Danika!" He grit his teeth. He stepped up pointing his gun at the two girls. Before motioning them into the farthest corner of the Helicopter away from the controls as he stood by the door.
"Move to the far side over there." He said
Slowly Serena and Chloe complied
Professor Amaranth got more and more angry "come on where are you?" He hissed
Suddenly the professor threw the door open as Specter 2 hopped in the helicopter and gave The Professor the trap containing Mew.
"PILOT TAKE OFF NOW! Everyone else begin Operation Shadow!" Professor Amaranth said as the helicopter rose into the air.
He looked down at the now Abandoned FoB and noticed Ash had just entered the clearing right as Amaranth waved goodby to Ash.
"Oh Ash! One parting gift!" The professor said before he reached deeper into the helicopter and pulled Chloe into view and pointed his sidearm at the side of her head
"CHLOE!" Goh yelled
Ash was Vivid how dare the professor take a hostage.
"See ya later boys! I'll mention you in my report!" He yelled. Before for assurance that he wasn't going to be followed by Ash pushed Chloe out the door.
"NO!" Serena yelled
"CHLOE!" Goh screamed
"CHARIZARD CATCH HER!" Ash ordered as the Fire-flying type rocketed towards the Girl.
Professor Amaranth shut the door impassively.
"She'll be alright, Ash will catch her." He said before he pointed his Gun to Serena
"You on the other hand are far more valuable."
Serena gulped
"Ash trusts you. Which means you have a deeper connection to him than Chloe and Goh. Likely you've traveled with him on occasion am I right?"
Serena nodded
"Very good. You'll be a great deterrent to stop the Monarch from interfering." He said as he stepped into the cabin leaving Serena alone with Specter 2 who stood in parade rest by the door his rifle off to the side.

Charizard was close to Chloe as the two were rocketing towards the ground Charzard at the last moment wrapped his arms around Chloe and pulled up
He flew parallel to the ground for a few short feet before he crashed into the ground falling a certain way to leave the occupant undamaged.
Chloe blinked and looked at Charizard
"CHLOE!" Goh said as he ran to her.
Charizard got up allowing the boy to embrace Chloe
"Chloe! Oh thank Arceus your safe! Chloe? Ash Chloe isn't speaking!"
Ash however was looking over Charizard
"She's catatonic, the trauma she has suffered would do that to you. Goh stay with Chloe keep her safe. Lucario help Chloe and Goh back to Kanto or the nearest city or town." Ash said
"What about you?" Goh asked
"Pika pika!" Pikachu roared his cheeks sparking in anger!
It didn't take a genius to figure out Ash was on a warpath.
And there would be hell to pay.
The hooded Lucario nodded as Ash grabbed his phone and sent Gary a text about the update. Before kicking off on Charizard
"Charizard fly!" Ash commanded as the two rocketed into the air.
Goh watched Ash go as he held a protective Arm around Chloe who strangely dug herself further into his side. But he didn't care, he was just glad she was safe.
Lucario nodded to the two of them and slowly led them to the nearest town.

Ash was on a one track mind Stop Professor Amaranth and free Mew.
Ash flew higher and eventually broke the distance and saw the helicopter holding Professor Amaranth
"We have to disable it somehow, Charizard get in close and use Flamethrower. Pikachu see if you can't disable one of its rotors!" Ash ordered

"Remember Serena is on there we don't want to blow it out of the sky!" Ash said as they flew in close to stsrt there attack run.

The Professor stood in the cabin looking. Smug in the center stood Mew in the trap with the pilot and Co-pilot sitting in there seats.
Suddenly an alarm went off as the cabin flashed red. And everyone got serious for a second
"Proximity alert Sir!" The co-pilot said
"Angle of approach?" The Professor asked
"6:00 coming in fast!" The co-pilot said
The Professor huffed
"Quillion looks like we got company…try to dissuade them!" He said
Specter 2 nodded and reached over to where a terminal was on the side of the helicopter and pulled up a targeting computer Serena looked and noticed an image of Ash and Charizard on the screen.
"Deploying countermeasures!" Quillion said
As Ash felt he was confident in the range of the attack to safely hit the target. Several of the gunports opened up and began to open fire!
"CHARIZARD BREAK OFF EVADE!" Ash snapped as he reeled Charizard left making a few bullets graze Charizards face as he released the Flamethrower early as it passed across the side of the helicopter.
"Pilot take evasive actions. Try to make them as hard for us to hit as possible." The professor said
"On it sir…" the pilot said.
Ash grit his teeth as he noticed the Helicopter got much harder to hit.
"Looks like they're not making it easy for us. Try to stay out of the range if there cannons and try to hit them from afar." Ash said
Charizard nodded and started an attack on the helicopter.

The professor looked over the readings as they took evasive action however the helicopter rumbled and made him look up
"Status!" He yelled
{rear Defensive gun turret is down I have no way to deter them from that angle} Quillion said
"Damn it acknowledged prepare to resist being boarded." He said before he turned to the pilot and co
"Set to auto pilot and bail out." He ordered
"Sir?" The pilot asked
"Go I don't plan to go down with the ship but Adh will keep chasing us if I bail out so soon."
"Quillion go with them until I return your in charge set up the lab for the experiment's"

A moment later and Quillion was seen holding Serena as he handed her over to the Professor the pilot and co got up and strapped on parachutes.
"See you on the ground." The Professor said
The others nodded before they bailed out.
Ash noticed the others bailing out and against his better judgment focused eyes on the helicopter as he noticed Serena wasn't amongs them.
"Let them go Charizard, get us in close I'm going in."
The flying type nodded as he moved aside the open door and Ash jumped in
"Welcome Ash." Professor Amranth said as He looked to see Serena was in the co pilot seat
"It's over Amaranth." Ash said
"No Ash this is just the beginning…" He said
As he stood up and raised his gun to Serena. And dragged her infront of him using her as a hostage.
"This is needed research! Think of what we could find."
"Think of all the lives who will be killed." Ash countered.
"You can't know the numbers."
"But it's more than one too many for me!" Ash said
"There really is no changing your mind is there?" Amranth said
"Give. It. Up." Ash said one final time preparing to order pikachu to shock him.
The professor sighed
"I never wanted you my enemy Ash I've always respected you." He said before he tgrew Serena at ash and grabbed the Trap containing new he shot the console of the helicopter
"So long Ash!" The Professor said as he jumped out of the helicopter
"No!" Ash yelled as he ran to see the professor fall.
Only to see him deploy a hidden parachute.
Ash growled and ran to the controls they were losing altitude fast.
Ash tried to pull up on the joystick but it was no use.
Ash grunted before he abandoned the pilot seat Grabbed Serena and dragged her to the door.
"Ash what are you?!" She asked
"Go Serena!" He said as he gave her a kiss on the lips
"I love you!" He said before he shoved her out the door.
"Ash!" Serena screamed
After falling for a few seconds Charizard swooped in and grabbed her.
And she watched as the helicopter crashed into the lake outside of Pallet town.
In the Aurcraft ash ran back to the console as Pikachu struggled to maintain altitude.
Ash took over then looked to his buddy
"Pikachu let's go!" Ash said as they abandoned the craft and jumped out right as the ship hit the water!
'Please be ok please be ok!' Serena thought as Charizard flew to the side of the lake where they found Ash safe and sound. Laying on the sand exhausted but alive pikachu the same way.
"Ash!" Serena called as she jumped off Charizard and ran to him.
Ash turned to her "Serena?" He asked when Serena slammed into him
"You idiot! Moron idiot! Why would you do something so stupid?!" Serena yelled, crying her eyes out.
Ash looked at her with a nice smile as he embraced her cutting Serena off her rant.
"I couldn't risk you getting hurt there. Just knowing you were kidnapped with someone who was willing to use a gun made me terrified of losing of… I saved you from him but I didn't want to risk you in that crash. I knew Charizard was nearby so I took a gamble. Not with your safety but with mine… your far too important to me Serena, I've finally understood what you mean when we parted back at Kalos Airport."
Serena gasped "y-you mean?"
Ash nodded "you didn't hear wrong before… yes Serena I love you."
Serena and Ash enveloped themselves in a kiss while pikachu watched the heartwarming scene with a tear in his eye that he whiped away.
Pikachu looked over to Charizard to see even the overgrown lizard was teary.
They broke the kiss and Serena just held Ash while the sunset occurred.
"Ash what are we gonna do?" Serena asked
Ash sighed "Mew is in danger, and with it the entire world. We need to stop him." He said
"We should call officer Jenny and inform them about what has happened."
Serena nodded and opened her phone and gasped
"Ash look!" She said and held her phone to him
Arrest warrent for: Ash Ketchum! For abetting criminal's if you've seen him please contact the local police.
Ash clenched his fist
"What are we going to do we can't go into any city or town they'll arrest you on the spot."
"And We'll need help with stopping Professor Amaranth…fortunately I know of one man to call." Ash said
"Who ash?" Serena asked
"We're gonna make an anonymous tip to the Indigo plateau." He said

Lance Wataru sat in his office. As the leader of the G-men he sss incharge of dealing with major world crisis's and powerful rouge pokemon trainers.
And Lance just got a call to bring in the best.
Ash Ketchum.
Of course to Lance something wasn't right. For one, Ash would never aid a criminal organization, he'd had a hand of taking down too many to join them.
Two was the fact the Warrant went out before they could verify it. Something that only the G-men and international police could do and Looker said he never ordered a warrant on Ash in fact he hadn't seen him in years.
A third thing was that the warrant was issued by an anonymous inquiry…
That's three strikes, Something wasn't adding up.
Lance had to do something and at this point the easiest thing to do was go to the source.
Go find Ash and see what's going on.
Lance sighed 'but if Ash is Evil I can't face him one on one. No I need to be prepared…' he thought
Suddenly his phone rang as he picked up the receiver
"Hello…" Lance said
"Mew you say… ok…tell me are you in contact with Ash Ketchum?… he is…I figured…professor Amaranth…understood…" Lance said as he hung up the receiver and went to his computer
"Time to take down a warrant." Lance said as he replaced Ash's warrant for Professor Amaranth.
Lance stood up and put on his cloak.
"I'll be back…" he said as he summoned Dragonite and flew off

Agent looker walked into the international police and sat down today was a bad day.
He got a buzz on his cellphone as Looker looked at it he nodded
Suddenly his boss ran down the hall "Looker we got-!"
"I got the message boss I'm on it."
His boss nodded "I'm mobilizing as many people as we can. If the professor is doing this then he has been prepared."
Looker nodded and grabbed his keys before walking off to his car.

Professor Amaranth walked into the building carrying the trap with Mew in it and entered the elevator.
"Polygon I'm not to be disturbed until Mew is secure." The professor said
{Understood sir} a disembodied voice said as the Elevator closed and started to descend deeper into the facility.
The professor entered the underground lab and found Mine Jr. Waiting.
The professor put the trap and enclosed it in in the testing chamber.

"Open the case." The professor ordered
Immediately the trap holding mew powered down and Mew was Free to fly around.
"Now I understand your angry we us. But understand I mean you no harm my Only wish is to study you… if you could give us a DNA sample then I can-."
The professor was cut off when Mew blasted him with a hyperbeam
However the case held up against the attack.
As The Professor lowered his arm a cold look in his eyes "very well the hard way it is then."

Ash got home and was suprised that his mother at the door tapping her feet impacently
"Young man you've got a lot of explaining to do!"
Ash winced she was angry.
"I'm about what?"
Deila held up the warrent.
"Mom i can explain." Ash said
"Can you?!" She asked

Suddenly a cop car showed up creasing over the hill
"Ash get behind me!" Deila said dragging her son behind her into the house. As Lance and Dragonite landed infront of the house.
"Ash!" Lance called out
"Stay back I'm not letting you take my son!" Deila yelled
Lance raised his hands
"Ms Ketchum its a misunderstanding. The warrent is invalid, and after an investigation was not done properly it had no legal sway, we are not here to arrest your son or The monarch I've come to ask The monarch for help stopping the real criminal." Lance said
That made Deila relax.
"Oh… and we'll why can't you do it yourself?" She asked
"Mom they have Mew."
Suddenly Deila looked as if she had seen a ghost and turned to Lance
"I'm coming with you." She said

Deila went to her dresser and started to pull out clothes before revealing a locked case in the bottom she pulled it out and cracked it open.
In it was a single handgun and 4 mags of bullets
Deila looked at the gun for a moment picking it up in her hands, as she instinctively triggered the action to chamber a round.
Ash came through the door to the room to see Deila standing there holding the gun.
Ash's eyes widened… he reconized it as a gun

"After I left I promised I'd never hold this again." She said as she slid a clip in and cycled the gun before holstering it on her side pocketing the other mags. She turned to ash not surprised to see him there.
"Let's go." She said as she walked out. Ash gulped as he followed her…
As they returned to Lance hr looked at Deila sadly "you don't have to do this you know." He said
Deila glared at him "and no one else has the courage to do it if I don't." She said
Lance said nothing.
Looker sighed "well go in my car." He said as everyone climbed in.

"Ash I noticed your missing a Pokeball on your belt but what happened?" Lance. Asked

"If you find yourself entering combat do not hold back. Kill them first."

New howeve let out a roar and sent out a wave of psychic energy which broke the Arm.

The Professor snarled "very well I'm done playing nice!" He said as he cranked up the electricity to max level

"New needs to be taught a lesson to bow to there superiors!" The professor said as Mew let out a scream of pain!
In pallet town in ashes house the Case where Deila took her gun from was a receiver which started vibrating and had a blood red screen

In the car The group was getting closer to the city when they heard the sounds of Helicopter's flying overhead
"There's Skywatch." Lance says looking out the window as everyone watched
A fleet of 15 AH-64 Apache Military helicopters in jet black with a bright red R emblazoned on the side flew over
Deila was stunned
"Mum?" Ash asked making the others look at her.
"That's the 5th air battalion I didn't call those in…" Deila said.
A few moments later Jets screamed overhead falling in line with the attack helicopters.
"That's the 15 sky Corp what the hell's going on?" Deila asked
As they got to the suburbs they move down the road and see a Tank column roll past.
"The 26th mechaninized Corp?!" Deila asked
Looked whistled
"Deila you have a fucking army here what is happening?" Lance asked worried
"When I know myself I'll let you know." She said
Within 3 minutes they were At downtown when they were stopped by a man in Riot gear with a red R on him
He approched the car
"Sir you can't enter we're under quarantine.."
"Trooper it's us!" Deila said looking out the window.
The trooper nodded to Deila "go ahead Madam, the captain is expecting you." He said waving them in
"Trooper what's going on why is everyone here?" Deila asked
The trooper just held up the receiver
"Looker floor it, were out of time!" Deila yelled
"Shit!" Looker yelled as he did as he was told.
