Bill and Harry stood together in front of the tomb. People bustled around them, but Harry did his best to ignore everyone else and just focus on what was in front of him.

"Why do I always listen to you?" Harry asked. He wasn't sure how he stumbled into this line of work. When he was finished with school, having gone back to complete his seventh year he knew everyone assumed that he would become an auror. To be honest, the idea of spending the rest of his life hunting down dark wizards and witches and just policing the general public did not interest Harry one bit. After a particularly long dinner at the Weasley house, Harry fell into a conversation with Bill and fell in love with the adventure that Bill described.

And now he was in Egypt.

"You done whining and ready for your first job, Harry?"

"Yeah, I guess. You sure you know what you're doing right?" Harry asked.

Bill's jaw dropped and he looked over at his new partner, offended at the lack of confidence in his abilities, "You do realize I've been doing this since before you finished school…right?"

"Yeah," Harry sighed with a nod of his head. He knew that Bill was experienced but he also knew what tombs that needed curse breakers were going to be dangerous and after his life, he didn't want to live through everything he already had just to die by falling in a hole in some tomb.

"Let's just go," Bill said with a roll of his eyes.

Harry stood in front of a rope bridge and frowned. It did not look sturdy, and he wondered by it was set up this way but didn't bother to ask Bill because he was sure that he'd get yet another lecture on how they had to limit magic so that it didn't react poorly with the cursed item that they were called in to deal with.

"You first," Bill said with a smirk.

Harry wasn't sure what Bill was trying to prove but he just shrugged and moved smoothly over the wobbly bridge. If Bill thought the heights would bother him then clearly to man forgot that Harry was a skilled quidditch player and often just lazily flew around to relax at the end of the day.

As soon as he was safely on the other side Harry looked back across the cavern and waved Bill across. He watched as the redhead moved much more cautiously across the bridge and he wondered if Bill had ever played Quidditch. Harry knew that Charlie had played and of course the twins as well but he didn't know much about Bill's time at Hogwarts.

Harry's musings were interrupted by a loud high-pitched screech. Startled, Harry withdrew his wand and was prepared for an attack. What he saw instead was Bill, with a tight grip on the bridge but dangled over the edge.

"Ha…Harry!" screeched Bill, the panic clear in his tone.

"On it!" Harry yelled back but he struggled to keep the laughter out of his voice.

Harry quickly traversed the bridge once more and grabbed hold of Bill's arms to pull him back up to safety. Once the man was back on the bridge, he shifted around so that Bill could walk in front of him, and Harry would take up the rear.

Once the pair were safely on the other side Harry chuckled, "So…"

"Don't" Bill snapped, his cheeks were stained red.

Harry mimed zipping up his lips, but the amused smirk was permanently on his face.

"And you're not going to tell anyone?" Bill asked but Harry could hear the demand in his tone.

"It's our little secret."
