Chapter 54
Following the Team Flare incident, Lumiose City is getting back to normal whilst we work to rebuild the Lumiose Gym alongside Meyer and hope to get it up and running again the next day. David and Clemont are busy working on the new Clembot, and we just hope that they're doing fine.
As we find Clemont and David, Clemont informs us that despite the best efforts, Clembot doesn't have its previous memories. "I'm sorry..." Bonnie fowns.
"I'm afraid that the data is all lost and it's impossible to get it back." Clemont says.
Then a boy named Alvin rushes to the gym and wants to battle the gym leader. However, he thinks that Clembot is the gym leader and wants to battle him. We have to tell him the bad news, though. He reveals that he lost to Clembot once and wants to battle him again. Clemont explains that Clembot won't have any memory from before, but Alvin is intent on his wish. So, due to the battlefield not being ready, Clemont asks Alvin to come back the next day to battle, and Alvin agrees.
Then we decide to visit Professor Sycamore and Mairin is also there. "What happened?" I ask.
"Well... since we manage to stop the Giant Rock... I thought we could have a little party..." Mairin sweatdrops.
Then we smell something burning, and it turns out that Mairin wants to make a cake for us but is ruined. So we decide to make the cake together as Professor Sycamore returns. As we are at the table, Professor Sycamore says, "So the Lumiose Gym is reopening."
"There's already a challenger waiting! Right?" Eve asks, and Clemont says, "Yeah..."
"Tell me about your plans from here on out." Sycamore says.
"Well, I was thinking about battling the Elite Four and the Champion. After that's done, it is also time for me to head back to Kanto. There are probably three regions left other than the Sevestar Region."
"That sounds like something you do." Elline says.
"But where is Sina and Dexio? I haven't seen them in a while?" David asks.
"They have been traveling around the world to gather information about Zygarde. The last time they called, they are in the Alola Region." Professor Sycamore says.
"I see." I nod then I frown, "I know it is for the purpose of spying, but I still helped Lysandre a lot... I still caused a lot of trouble for people and Pokemon...and I made so many mistakes."
Alice says, "Ash... didn't you say the same thing as well back in the Unova Region?"
"Yeah, but everything goes well in the end." Serena says.
Then the next day, Clembot is ready for his battle against Alvin. And in the end, Alvin wins the match in the end. Clembot claims that he found the battle to be enjoyable and gives Alvin his Voltage badge. Clembot also thanks us for the cheer and informs Clemont that he wishes to learn more about Pokémon, which Clemont happily agrees to.
That evening, the Professor gathers the whole crowd because Professor Sycamore wants to give away the medals for us since we defend the Kalos Region. It is not just us, but Calem, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno are asked to take part because of the first crisis.
"What an amazing turnout! All of these people are here to celebrate your achievements. I'd like to present you with the Honor of Kalos for the bravery you showed battling Team Flare! I'm so proud of you all! On behalf of the entire Kalos region, I'd like to say... Thank you!"
We all get the Honor of Kalos from the Professor, and the people are cheering for us. However, we also notice AZ approaching us. And he says, "Battle with me. I want to know what a "Trainer" is."
I say, "Sure. I'll battle you."
The battle unfolds with AZ sending out his Torkoal, and I respond by sending in my Greninja. As the clash begins, Greninja launches a Water Shuriken toward Torkoal, but the resilient Pokémon manages to evade with a well-timed Withdraw. Seizing the opportunity, Torkoal counters with a scorching Flamethrower, forcing Greninja to retreat.
"Greninja, let's reveal the strength of our bond!" I declare, activating the Bond Phenomenon. Greninja swiftly employs a combination of Double Team and Cut, overwhelming Torkoal and securing the victory.
AZ, undeterred, recalls Torkoal and sends out Golurk. In response, I swap Greninja for Venusaur. Venusaur opens the assault with a barrage of Razor Leaf, landing a hit on Golurk. However, Golurk retaliates with a Phantom Force, maneuvering behind Venusaur to strike with a Shadow Punch. Determined to turn the tide, I Mega Evolve Venusaur and unleash a powerful Solar Beam. Despite Golurk's attempt to counter with an Earthquake, Venusaur's attack prevails, ultimately defeating Golurk with a dazzling Petal Dance.
The final challenge emerges as AZ releases his Sigilyph. Anticipating the aerial threat, I send Pikachu into the fray. Pikachu initiates the assault with a Quick Attack, but Sigilyph responds with a Psychic, immobilizing Pikachu and flinging him aside. Undeterred, Pikachu retaliates with a Thunder, connecting with Sigilyph. The Psychic-type responds with an Air Slash, striking Pikachu, but the indomitable Electric type blocks the subsequent attack with a formidable Brick Break. With determination in his eyes, Pikachu secures the victory, overcoming Sigilyph with a powerful Volt Tackle. The battle concludes, showcasing the strength of our bond and the resilience of our Pokémon team.
AZ, moved by the outcome of the battle, gracefully recalls his Pokémon, gratitude evident in his voice. "Thank you very much for battling with me. Now, I finally feel free... Free from the part of me mired in sorrow - the part of me that built the ultimate weapon."
In that poignant moment, a Floette adorned with an eternal flower gracefully descends. AZ's recognition lights up his face as he addresses his long-lost companion. He kneels on the ground and holds her in his hands. "Floette... It has been 3000 years..."
Tears form in AZ's eyes, and a hushed silence envelops the battlefield. Professor Sycamore, witnessing the emotional reunion, remarks, "His Pokémon was waiting all this time... waiting for him to return to the man he was. The man who loved Pokemon with all his heart."
I nod in understanding, acknowledging the profound bond that transcends time and the healing power of friendship. "Indeed. May they find the happiness and closure they deserve, a fitting end to a long and heartfelt journey."
Just then, the man disappears in thin air, finding himself resting in peace, and the Eternal Flower Floette joins our team, happy that his friend has been released from 3000 years of sorrow.
That night, a crowd gathers around Prism Tower to witness the Gym reopening. A countdown commences and Meyer pulls a switch to turn the lights on and the fireworks go off. As we celebrate the Gym reopening, Alice asks, "So what are your future plans, Serena?"
"I'm really not quite sure..." Serena says. "I was thinking about taking Palermo's offer..."
"You'll be just fine, Serena. I believe in you." I say as Serena thanks me.
The next day, Serena wants to do a Performance Exhibition and she asks us to help out. Scarlet, Shauna, and Serena will be the performers who perform for the crowd, and everyone recognizes them as the top three of the Master Class this year.
After that, we also meet up with Grace and Helen in our Normal Manor. Though Helen wants to help us prepare dinner, we decide to have her rest as we do the cooking instead. As for Grace, she's been talking with my parents there. Then Serena wants to stay in a room with her mother, much to our surprise. After next day, Helen and Grace have to go back to Vaniville Town so we bid farewell to them.
As for the others, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno are going to help the wild Pokemon in Lumiose City, as for Calem, he's going to Kiloude City to train at the Battle Maison. Sawyer is asked by Steven to clean up the ruins of the Lysandre Labs, the northern one, and Eve and Flora are heading back to Laverre City. Alice wants to stay because she wants to see my Elite Four battle.
With Sawyer leaving the group, Clemont decides to head out to the Prism Tower as well, to do some cleaning up, and Bonnie tags along with him. Elline and David are also asked by their mother to help with the cleaning up as well. So now it is only Serena, Alice, and me.
As we wander on the streets, we decide to explore around, and we are able to get inside Boutique Couture because of how famous we are. Though Serena has been thinking a lot. Alice says, "I know, how about we have a battle in the Sushi High Roller?"
"Now?" Serena asks. And then we grab her hand and we rush there, and then we decide to have the meal there. The cost is 500000 for a course, but we decide to do it.
The first dish is the nigiri sushi, the taste will blow our minds as we have to battle Furisode Girl Gwyneth, who specializes in the Sunny Day Pokemon: Ninetales, Cherrim, and Tropius. The second course is temaki sushi, and we have to battle Furisode Girl Cliantha for three turns. She specializes in Sandstorm Pokemon: Gliscor, Scizor, and Hippowdon. The third Course is the pressed oshizushi, and we're battling Furisode Girl Thalassa, she specializes in a Rain Dance team with Beartic, Ludicolo, and Politoed, also defeating her in three turns.
The fourth dish is the chirashizushi course, we're battling Furisode Girl Nerissa, and now it is the Hail team with Mamoswine, Froslass, and Abomasnow. We defeat her in three turns as well. The fifth dish is some good old narezushi, and this time the owner Kazu is the one serving the dish and he wants me to battle in 5 turns. He uses Cofagrigus, Bronzong, and Cofagrigus to battle, and in the end, we finish it in 5 turns. In the end, we have some inarizushi before we leave. And since we use 17 turns, we are given the Big Nuggets, much to our delight.
"Looks like we made an awesome team." I say.
"You're right. We can't do anything by ourselves. It is because we're with Pokemon that really makes us do our best." Alice says.
"And I think I know what I want to do." Serena says.
Then we wait for Serena to call my grandma. It turns out that she decides to refuse her offer. She reasons that Aria had told her that her smile can give other people strength, something which she saw and realized when she was performing in the Exhibition Showcase; even though they had been through so much, the Lumiose Citizens did smile after seeing her performance. So, she has decided that she wants lots of people to see her perform, and to visit lots of places and new regions with her Pokémon, claiming that all the experience will help them grow and mature.
I can tell that my Grandma is a little disappointed at the refusal, considering that she's the first one to refuse her offer. Then she suggests that Serena also tries out the Contests like I do, and it will help her learn. And she also reveals that she's going to Hoenn until it is her turn to travel with me the next time.
Here is a new chapter, and the next chapter will be the special post-game chapter and I hope you like it.
