Chapter 12: Return to Fonsa Myma

"Seriously, Rex, you don't know who that freak who attacked us was?"

The question was asked by Nia, walking with everyone towards Fonsa Myma to do some last-day shopping for supplies. A few days after Pyra and Rex's date, the gang decided to take some time training to sharpen their skills so they don't suffer another humiliating loss like the one Khyber before heading for the main city to leave the Titan.

"I told you before I don't know who that Khyber guy was. Heck, I've never even met him before that fight." Rex tiredly replied though he had a thought gnawing at the back of his head.

'If that Khyber guy was hunting for the Omnitrix, why didn't he take me?' If someone wanted him dead, then they would also want his watch, so why did Khyber and his employer want exactly? Heck, all he did was extract something from the Omnitrix. Then wouldn't it be smart to grab the watch itself?

And what was this sense of dread in his stomach? Whatever Khyber took from him made Rex feel like something bad would happen.

Rex's train of thought cuts off as another voice joins in. "So, aliens, huh, and here I thought the world couldn't be crazier anymore." Vandham muses,

And the old veteran thought he'd seen everything there was.

Rex informed Ursula and Vandham about the origins of his powers and some of his life after the fight with Khyber. Both of them had different reactions. Vandham was stoic, but on the inside, the man was shocked at life's existence on other worlds. Ursula was initially shocked, but when she heard that Rex was a hero, the ice Blade looked at her Driver with stars in her eyes. Maybe the girl had a thing for heroics?

Even so, having hero worship like that was a little embarrassing, especially since Tora and Poppi did enough of that with him.

"Well, the next time that ugly mug shows his face again, I'll thrash him!" Nia snarls at the humiliating defeat they all suffered from Khyber.

Rex raises a brow at that. "And how do you plan to do that? He had a device that shuts down all ether in the surrounding area?"

Nia paused, and a small embarrassed blush appeared on her face. "S-s-shut up! And besides, who was the one that needed healing during that battle?"

"Oh right, that reminds me." Rex takes Nia's hands into his own and offers her a grateful smile. "Thanks for that. By the way, if you didn't heal me, I would've never beaten that worm. Can I count on you to always heal me?"

Nia looks down at her hands with Rex's and then at his cute smiling face before her face explodes bright red. She quickly wrestles her hands out of his grip and accusingly raises her hands like a clawing cat at Rex. "W-w-w-what the hell!? You can't just do that to me!?"

Rex confusedly tilts his head. "Do what, thank you?"

Pyra shakes her head at the scene. 'Oh, Rex, you can be so cute but so dense.' Honestly, it's a miracle they're a couple this early on.

'Are we sure Rex isn't a Casanova? Cause there's no way he's doing this unintentionally. Mythra accuses. 'By the way, are you sure Nia likes him, or are you building Rex a harem?'.

'W-w-what?! Of course, I'm sure! Don't tell me you're as dense as Rex is! And I'm not building him a harem. I just don't want Nia to be sad!'

'Hey! I resent that! I know when a girl likes a guy without shoving her tongue down his throat, unlike you!'

'Why did you bring that up!? I just wanted to kiss Rex.…wait a minute. Are you jealous that you didn't get to make out with Rex?'

A long moment of silence was Pyra needed to know that she got one over her sister.

Ursula then came to her Driver's side. "So, Rex, you're really a superhero. That sounds amazing!" Her Driver was a hero. Who wouldn't be excited by that?!

Tora also came to Ursula's side, jumping up and down in excitement. "That's right! Rex-Rex is a heropon! He even saved Tora's life four years ago! And since that day, Tora created heropon Rex-Rex club!"

'Wait, what? I have a what now?'

Ursula gasps from that before turning to Rex. "You have a club, too?!" she exclaimed, eyes shining.

"He does! And club members so far are Poppi and me. Would friend Ursula like to join too?"

Seeing Tora and his new Blade gushing about what activities to make for their club made Rex dread for the future and his sanity. But thank the Architect for small mercies cause Rex could see Fonsa Myma not too far away.

But when nearing the entrance to Fonsa Myma, Rex saw many Urayan Titan battleships. The Ships were made to be as under-modified as possible on the Titan. This was because the Urayans loved nature and wanted to leave anything natural they had to stay the way it was.

'But hang on Titan battleship. Titan… why do I feel like I'm forgetting something?' Ever since Rex got to Uraya, he always felt like something was missing important.

"Poppi saw many Titan battleships in Gormott, but none of them like this. Why?"

Vandham stepped in to give everyone a lesson. "Well, that's why Urayans like our stuff all natural if possible." He then gestures to Fonsa Myma. "Hell, you can even compare our to capital cities and see the difference. In comparison, the Ardainians process raw minerals into metal for their city. We Urayans prefer it unprocessed."

Nia, let's put an impressed whistle at that. "Man, you Urayans are made of sterner stuff than I thought. Sure, we Gormotti prefer natural stuff too, but we used wood. Can't imagine what using stone is like."

"Meh, Tora can't imagine making Poppi out of stone. Would be highly insufficient."

"But masterpon is stone not cheaper?" Poppi tilts her head at her Driver.

"What does Poppi think of her masterpon?! Tora does not hold back on expenses for his Blade. Tora got the best materials gold could buy!" Tora may have been a cheapskate a few times in his life, but he never did things by halves for Poppi.

Pyra looked at the group and smiled. She's got to admit they're much more lively than Mythra's old team back in the war. Turning to her side, she saw Rex concentrating on the Titan battleships. "What's wrong, Rex?"

Rex furrows his brows. " Hey, Pyra. Do you think of anything while looking at those Titan battleships? Like something we're forgetting?" seriously, it was on the tip of his tongue.

Pyra shook her head. "Nope, And I don't know anything much about Titan battleships either. You would have to ask Azurda…."

As Pyra trails off, both she and Rex look at each other with wide eyes before they yell.

"WE FORGOT ABOUT GRAMPS/AZURDA!"

At the docks of Fonsa Myma,

"Well, finally, you remembered me, Rex. I thought I raised you better than to forget your own grandfather." a booming voice scolded Rex with contempt.

The giant dragonic titan had been in Uraya for days and constantly had to go around, maybe biting a krabble or two for food while waiting for his grandson to return.

Rex was on his knees and putting his hands together for an apology. "I"m sorry! It's just I woke up, and then we saw Cole and had to go to Garfont. Then someone from-"

"Alright, alright, enough excuses, Rex." Azurda sighed, looking at his surrogate grandson. He could never stay mad at the boy for long anyway. "But I see two new faces added to the group mind introducing us?"

Rex frantically jumped up and gratefully thanked how forgiving his grandpa was as he gestured toward his new friends. "Yeah, this is Vandham and his Blade Roc. They're some friends Cole recommended to us." He then turned to the pair and introduced them to his grandfather. "Vandham and Roc. Meet my gramps."

The large Urayan man looked up at Azurda and whistled. "Ha, if this is your gramps, can't imagine what your parents are like!" Vandham joked.

Rex winced a bit inside at the question about his parents. They died when he was young, protecting his life. And the sad thing is he can't remember anything about them, not even their faces or names. It was so strange and sad that Rex could remember everything after their deaths but not before.

Whenever he tried to recall anything about his parents, all that he drew up were just blank memories. Deep down, he wanted to cry and scream at the unfairness of being unable to recall anything about his parents. He tried to keep their memory alive, but how could he do that when there were no memories?

Rex joked lightly, shaking his and laughing a bit to push down the pain. "Ha, well, I definitely didn't get my charming good looks from gramps, as you can see."

Azurda gasps in shock at that. "Since when did my sweet Rex become a giant bully to his grandfather?"

"You're the one who raised me, so you should know." Rex cheekily shot back at his surrogate grandfather.

The people around were looking at the ongoing commotion with looks of amusement on their faces. Sure, seeing a giant titan talking was weird. But Azurda had been staying around the port, telling the kids stories and cheering them up. It brought a little bit of life to the grim situation in Uraya with all the threat of war and food rations.

One little girl, however, saw who the titan was talking to, and her eyes widened when she laid her eyes on Rex. She immediately ran up to the group and tugged on his hand, getting the hero's attention.

Rex looked at the person who was tugging him and saw it was a little girl with sea-green shoulder-length hair. She had a pink flower in her hair for an accessory and a flower necklace.

"Oh, hello there. Who are yo-"

"Your name is Rex, right?" the little girl questioned, cutting Rex off, to which he responded with a nod of confusion on how the girl knew his name. With that, the little girl's face cheered up, and she hugged the confused boy.

Vandham looks at the girl, and his eyes light up in recognition. "Oh! Iona, what're you doing here for?" The large man questioned.

"You know this girl Vandham?" Pyra asks.

The urayan man nods at her. "Yep, she's the granddaughter of an old pal of mine. In fact, it's the same pal who told you guys to meet me."

"So, this girl is friend Cole's granddaughter," Tora asks for confirmation.

"Adopted too, I presume," Dromarch added as they all knew Cole's true nature.

The little girl nods and turns to Rex again. "Grandpa told me to stay around this titan 'cause you'll return for it," Iona explained. Then she grabbed Rex's hand and pulled him. "He also said he wants to see you, please?" she begged.

"Eh, couldn't hurt. Well, guys, what do you say? One more detour, one more detour?"

Shrugging, Nia responds. "Eh, why not? Won't take too much out of our time anyway."

Currently, everyone was standing outside the door to Cole's study room. Iona walks up to the door and knocks on it. A few seconds passed, and Cole answered.

"Iona, is that you?"

"Yes, Grandpa and I brought Rex and his friends with me, including Mr. Vandham." The girl replied.

"Good. Please come in, my friends."

Actually, now that Rex thought about it didn't Cole sound different, too? He looked at his friends and saw that they all had the same thoughts, judging by the look on their faces. When everyone walked in, they all gasped in shock as they saw who was inside.

It was Cole, but he was different, really different. First, his hair was a healthy, bright light brown that was tied into a ponytail. There was a scar on his left eye, but the most shocking thing of all was that instead of looking like an old man, he looked like a man in his twenties.

"W-w-w-what! What happened to you, old man!?" Nia shrieks while freaking out at Cole. "You looked as dry as a prune the last time we saw you! So, how are you so young!?"

Pyra looks at her old friend in shock, with her hands covering her mouth. "M-Minoth?" she whispered, astonished. How had he restored his youth? It shouldn't be possible. Nothing on Alrest that Pyra knew could do such a thing as reverse aging.

Then Pyra had a realization, and her head turned towards the Omnitrix on Rex's wrist, 'Nothing on Alrest.'

Vandham's eyes widened seeing his old friend being young. "What the hell, old man? How did you?" How was this even possible?

Ursula and Beary looked at each other, confused about what was wrong.

"Hahaha!" Cole laughs at seeing everyone's reaction toward his new youth. It was even more of a hilarious reaction than he first thought.

"Oi, this isn't a laughing matter! How the hell are you so young, old man!?" Nia screams at the now young flesh-eater.

Taking deep breaths to control his laughter, Cole gathered his bearings as he answered Nia's question. "Well, I think the answer might be with Rex's little device."

Everyone turns to Rex, who looks as shocked as everyone else. The teen raises his hand to stare at the Omnitrix and then back at Cole. "I had no idea this could happen," he said, in shock.

Furrowing his brows, Rex walks up to Cole while taking out his Omni-plate. "I'm gonna see what happened to you." He activates the device's scanning function on Cole and waits for the results. Once the scan was complete, Rex waited for the results, and what he saw shocked him.

"Cole." Everyone looks at Rex anxiously for his analysis. "Your body is somehow… I don't even know, actually. It's like your organic cells fused… no closer than that. Became one with whatever a Blade is made of to make something new. Strangely, you look like you have normal cells, but there's nothing inside the cell except for the nucleus and… ether?"

"OI Rex English, please," Nia demands, wanting to know the answer since this might affect her later on if she decides to let Rex 'heal' her.

Rex is looking at his Omni-plate, still confused, but still answers Nia. "Imagine a human body with all of its organs." Everyone nods, so he continues. "Then remove all of the organs except for the brain and add ether to fill up everything else. That's basically what we're looking at here. Cole's cells still function like normal cells despite missing their vital organs except for the nucleus, which is the brain."

"Meh, even Tora knows that not possible, and he not biologist." Tora jumps back in shock at the scientific impossibility.

"That shouldn't be possible." Nia denies. Hell, she knew cause she had checked her own body before, and its cells still looked and functioned like a human's.

'I'll probably need to go back to Fonsett to analyze this deeper.' Rex thought. Whatever Cole had become was something one of a kind, a never-seen-before new species.

Vandham looks at Cole up and down. "You know it's been quite a while since I've seen you look like this old timer. "Then he made a battle-hungry grin. "And I remember the last time we fought. I won that bout. Of course, you were complaining about if you were younger, you would've won, but gotta admit you don't look like much."

Cole's eye twitches in annoyance at Vandham's jab before he raises his hand and summons one of his gun knives. "Oh, that was well over a decade ago, and I'm back to my prime now." He then smirks at his old partner. "Are you sure you can still keep up with me after all these years, 'old man?' After all, you can't age back like I did, can you?"

The two grown men glared at one another, and everyone swore they saw lightning clashing between them.

Pyra moves in between the two and raises her hands as if she's pushing them apart. "Come on. You two are old friends, right? So, the first you shouldn't be doing is getting ready for a fight." But the two continued to glare at one another, ignoring Pyra. Seeing as the two weren't giving up their little stare-down, she looked at Roc for help, who gave a weary sigh at Their Driver's behaviour but briefly gestured at Iona, making Pyra gain a look of understanding.

"Little Iona was very happy to see her grandfather healthy. Shouldn't we be happy too?"

Upon her that line, both men stopped glaring at each other and huffed in annoyance. Sure, they were mostly just playing around with the insults… mostly. But they weren't going to be a bad example for Cole's granddaughter for their stupid old rivalry.

Vandham gives another look at his friend before a genuine smile appears on his lips. "Well, I don't know what magic the kid did to make you young, but seeing you like this old friend is nice." Vandham may have never shown it, but whenever he saw Cole in poor shape or form, he cursed at his own powerlessness for leaving his friend in pain.

Cole nods at Vandham, appreciating his comment, before turning to Rex and giving him a rueful but grateful smile.

"Rex, thank you." Cole brings up his hand to his core crystal as he continues. "Living with that old body of mine was horrible. I don't know how to repay you." the now young man slowly bows to Rex respectfully.

Grinning happily, Rex simply gives Cole a thumbs up. "No need for thanks, just being a hero and all." All in a day's work in his chaotic life.

However, the smile on Cole's face vanished after he thought of the other thing he wanted to say. "Though I am grateful for what you've done for me, Rex, there's a problem, unfortunately." this causes said boy to blink at Cole. "Though I'm healed, people will eventually look for the old me, especially my co-workers, and I can't show them my youthful self. Otherwise wise, my identity as a flesh-eater is revealed."

A look of surprise and understanding appears on Rex's face. He'd never thought helping Cole would do this. But what could he do? He couldn't just change how Cole looks with something stupid like a mask.

Rex then blinks. 'wait, mask… that's it!' with a grin, Rex activates the Omnitrix and slams down on the core.

A giant green flash of light blinds everyone in the room, and standing in Rex's place is XLR8. The alien smiles at the flabbergasted Cole, who is staring at him with wide eyes. "Give me a minute." with that, XLR8 disappears in a black-and-blue blur, racing towards somewhere.

Cole slowly turns open-mouthed towards Pyra, and the girl can only give her old comrade a weak smile since they didn't exactly tell him Rex's secret.

"Wha-" Before Cole could even finish, a strong wind blows across the room due to XLR8 returning.

"Honey, I'm home!" XlR8 jokes as he slaps the Omnitrix, becoming human again. In his hands was a brown mask with a shocked face on it. "Sorry, I had to run all the way back to my house on Gramps. But here you go, one ID mask to fix all your problems." Rex explained as he lent the mask to Cole, who took it with a confused expression.

"W-w-what was that!? I've never seen anything like it! and what's this mask supposed to do!?" Cole yells, bewildered by Rex's transformation.

Raising his hand, Rex stops Cole's line of questions. "I'll explain in a minute, but right, wear that mask and think of your old appearance while doing so." Inwardly, he can't for everyone's shocked faces.

Still holding the mask, Cole looks like he wants to ask questions. But one encouraging look from Rex, who wants him to use the mask, stopped him.

Sighing in defeat, he slips on the mask while doing what Rex said about his old form. When the mask was firmly placed on, a wave of energy washed over Cole's body, and in an instant, he looked how he did when he first met the group.

Everyone looks on in amazement at Cole changing to his old appearance sans Rex, who has a proud smirk on his face.

"Wow, wow! Mask made young Cole become Old Cole," Tora exclaims at the amazing technology.

Nia tentatively walks forward and slowly raises her hand to Cole's hand. Her eyes widened, feeling that the texture of the hand was that of an old man. "H-h-how is that possible!?" she yells at the absurd transformation. She turns to Rex in an instant. "What did you give him?"

Waving his hand, Rex answers. "Don't worry, he's still young. He just looks and feels old from the ID mask."

Tilting her head at her, Driver Ursula asks, "I…D mask?" she's still not used to the craziness that Rex brings with him.

"Yep, it creates a solid, hard light construct imitating the person you want to look like and even feel like them, too," Rex said, explaining the mask's functions while gesturing to Cole. Then he remembered something as he snapped his fingers. "By the way, be careful around large flashes of light-like lighting. People can see the real you for a moment since that interferes with the hard-light projection."

Cole took a moment to gather himself before taking several calming, deep breaths while closing his eyes. He then looks at Rex."I know I said that your story is to be told when you're ready, but for my sanity's sake, please explain." Cole asks with a twitching smile and brow.

Fonsa Myma Inn

After explaining to Cole about Rex's origins and alien tech, the flesh-eater was shocked at the knowledge of life on other worlds, but thankfully, it wasn't too believable for him.

Everyone decided to call it a day and head to the Inn. Though Rex wanted to sleep in his house on Azurda but, Pyra convinced him to order a room instead. So, here was Rex ordering a couple of rooms for everyone.

"Ok, we'll need two large-" Rex asks but is cut off by an unexpected person.

"Three rooms, please," Pyra interjects as she hands the gold.

"Three?" Ursula questions. She's pretty sure that's not normal, given how everyone was giving Pyra a look.

Said red-haired girl, blushes when she realized the scene she made. "I… um, want to be closer to my Driver? Haven't had one in so long?" She knew it was a weak excuse, but it was the best she could come up with.

Vandham shrugs his shoulders. "Well, good enough for me. I just want to hit the hay. Come on, guys." However, if one looked closely, one would see that the mercenary had a smirk on his face.

So everyone went to their respective rooms, though Nia did give one long look at Rex and Pyra before she shook her head and went to her room with Poppi and Ursula.

Pyra and Rex reached their room, which was a modest one-bedroom with a small bathroom and kitchen. Pyra dematerializes her armour's metal parts along with her boots as she walks towards the bed. This made her current outfit look like a one-piece swimsuit that really hugged her curves nicely.

Laying down on the bed after a long day of travelling, Pyra gives Rex one look of longing for him to join her. Said boy's face heats up a little. Still, he removes his salvager gear from his body, leaving him in shorts and a loose tank top, which Pyra definitely appreciates as she looks at her Driver's body, especially the exposed parts. Making a small stretch to loosen his muscles, Rex then joined Pyra on the bed.

Snaking one of her arms under Rex and the other over. Pyra then brought Rex in for a hug. She then buried her face in Rex's hair, inhaling his scent and then letting out a content sigh. She didn't know if it was that she loved Rex or if their bond was unique, even between Drivers and Blades.

Rex also takes his time enjoying Pyra's embrace. He let his face be smothered between her soft big boobs. The sheer warmth and softness were already enough for him to feel sleepy. She was so comforting, and he loved every second he got to spend with her, but Rex held on to stay awake cause he felt like Pyra had another reason for sleeping with him.

"So, why did you decide to sleep on Azurda instead of with me, Rex?" Pyra asks, whispering into Rex's ears, which sends a shiver down the boy's spine. "I thought we were a couple, or were you too shy?" she teased while stroking his hair with her nails, gently scratching his scalp, sending even more shivers down Rex's spine.

The way her nails scratched yet stroked his head was so blissful that Rex almost moaned. Also, Rex is a bit scared too. Ever since their romantic date, Pyra had been, what was the word seductive? It's close, but maybe something smaller. But she was much more confident around him than when they first met.

"N-n-no! Nothing like that. I thought you might want some space. Besides, I kind of need Gramps to sleep!" He manages to get out while resisting the pleasure as best as he can. He's just glad he's not in his gormotti form. Otherwise, he'd really be putty in Pyra's hands.

Then Pyra's fingers slowly stopped stroking Rex as she adopted a sad look on her face. "It's because you have nightmares of Vilgax, right?" She always wondered why Rex wanted her to sleep with him. At first, she thought it was because Rex was a boy going through puberty. She always knew where his eyes were staring when he thought she wasn't looking. But after some brainstorming with Mythra, both of them concluded that Rex was affected by his past with that monster, and he needs someone he trusts to comfort him through the night.

Pyra honestly didn't mind. As a matter of fact, she enjoyed sleeping with Rex. But she wished she could do more than this. She wants to help him move past this. And it wasn't just her Mythra who wished to help Rex too, but both Aegis sisters didn't know the first thing on what to do. Besides, they're also in the same boat as Rex in a way. Whenever Rex was with them, they felt the pain from the war lessen and sometimes even disappear. Out of all the people to awaken them. They're glad it was Rex.

Then, a feeling brushed Pyra's lips as the girl blinked and snapped out of her thoughts.

Rex went to kiss Pyra on the lips after seeing her thinking about Vilgax. He knew he had opened a huge can of worms by letting both of them see his memories. Still, he'll stick by his choice and live with it. But he also wants Pyra to stop thinking about it and enjoy their time in bed together.

Eventually, Pyra closes her eyes and begins to kiss Rex back. Losing themselves in the passion of love, they started unconsciously exchanging saliva with each other. Pyra takes it further by taking one hand behind Rex's head, pulling him closer to her as her other hand begins to explore his body. Slowly, Pyra shifted her body with Rex until the two pieces of her core were aligned, and a faint click noise was made before they fell asleep.

In his study, Cole examined his face while wearing the ID mask that still made him like an old man. Even under this disguise, Cole felt as strong as no. He's even stronger than he was 500 years ago. He also discovered something else about his new body a few days ago.

Raising his hand toward his desk, Cole watched with fascination as it began to turn into a black, misty composition. Then he moved his hand through the table. Somehow, Cole gained the ability to turn his body intangible. He'd heard stories about flesh-eaters gaining unique abilities, but Cole was a failed experiment.

'Wait, experiment? No, Amlathus was my Driver, my friend, right? He made me a flesh eater to give me freedom, didn't he?' Immediately, Cole brought a hand up to his head, nursing it. Ever since he got cured, he's also been having these headaches as well. He can't explain why, but he knows it has something to do with his old Driver. Trying to catch his breath, Cole used his desk as support when a familiar voice chilled his spine.

"Well, well, well. You've looked like you seemed better day, Minoth."

Slowly turning his head, Minoth saw Akhos and Malos. Inwardly gulping, Cole tried to control his muscles from making any rash movements. He remembered when he first joined Torna when Jin first founded the group. Cole almost took the Aegis's head off when he first saw Malos as a part of the group. It was only due to Jin's speed that this man was still standing right here.

Still, after a few months with Torna, Cole then quits the group, unable to work with that monster responsible for the war 500 years ago. He then looked at the dark Aegis, his body completely relaxed From seeing the supposed old Blade, not knowing that he was wearing an ID mask. It would be so simple just create two new weapons. One aiming for the man's core and the other at his brain. He could end this monster once and for all.

But he can't cause he saw something or rather someone. Iona she was standing outside the door, peeking through. No matter what happens, Cole swore to protect his granddaughter from bloodshed, even witnessing it if he could.

Letting out a bitter laugh and smile, Cole looks at Malos. "Well, I've been doing well enough these days. Can't say the same for you, Malos, still a shadow of your former self 500 years ago." Cole mocked and enjoyed the look of frustration that appeared on Malos's face for a split second.

Not letting Minoth get to his head, Malos tries to brush it off by insulting him back. "Well, at least I don't look like a dried blood orange. Comes with being an Aegis you know something you should know too." Malos shot back with a tone of accusation.

Akhos then interjects. "And don't bother trying to deny it. We've detected the Aegis's ether signature here in Uraya." He said in a smug tone while pushing up his glasses before adding. "Oh, and don't think we're asking this for free. We've recovered technology from Judicium. They have some marvelous toys, including a regeneration chamber. Which could heal that… feeble body of yours." He tries to make it sound as nice as possible.

Cole, however, was laughing inside his head. These two didn't know he was cured of his age and his curse. Again, it would be so simple to kill them unguarded. But he had a feeling Rex could deal with them by himself. After all, could Torna face a force not from Alrest?

"I'll say it once, and I'll say it again leave now. I'm done being in that group that dared to use the name of that once-great titan," Cole warned as he glared at the two.

Malos gave Cole a death stare before turning around. "Fine! But don't come running to us when you're going to die, you old fool! This was a waste of time anyway, and we don't need a weakling like you!"

Both members of Torna left, not noticing Iona, who was glaring at both of them. Quickly, she rushed towards them right outside the theatre. "Don't call grandpa a fool! Apologize now!" Iona yelled with rage. She may have been timid, but now she felt nothing but indignation at these two mean people.

Malos quickly turned around, annoyed, but then his mind registered what he just heard. Slowly, an evil smirk appears on his face. "Well, well. What do we have here? You're the old man's grandpa?"

Iona nodded but suddenly felt a deep chill go through her body as the other man in blue armour began to smirk, too.

Malos turns to Akhos and asks. "Hey Akhos, you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Akhos pushed his glasses up as he replied. "Even a simpleton could figure this one out."

Before Iona could run away, she felt something hit the back of her head before darkness claimed her vision.

Dream Elysium

Within the dream world, Pyra awoke. It was a bit of a paradox, though, now that she thought about it. Falling asleep only to wake up here, but that will probably be another question for her father when they meet. Getting up, she turned to the tree, and her eyes widened slightly.

Sitting by the tree was Mythra. That was a shock already as she hadn't seen her sister with her in dream Elysium in a long time except when Rex came. But what's really shocking is that she found Rex still asleep with his head lying on Mythra's head as she gently scratched his head with a smile on her face. Pyra knew her sister was in love with Rex, too, but she never thought Mythra would do something like this!

Mythra then looked up, and her eyes widened before she quickly raised her fingers to make a shush sign. She didn't know why she gave Rex a lap pillow. He just appeared here suddenly out of nowhere and she obviously couldn't let her Driver sleep on the ground. So, with reluctance (Enthusiasm), she let him sleep on her lap.

Pyra, not letting her sister one up her, sits down on Rex's other side before adding her hand to scratch Rex's hair, too. Of course, she's glad her sister is showing affection for Rex, but it's just a bit of a competition for fun. Mythra must also come to the same conclusion as she challengingly smirked at her.

As both of them stroked Rex, Pyra asked a question. "So, Rex and I are pretty much already a couple. When do you think you'll confess?"

Upon hearing that question, Mythra's face instantly turned red. "I-I-I- uh." She couldn't even say anything from the sudden question, and her heart was beating too rapidly for her to calm down. It wasn't that she didn't love Rex. She did. It's just that she had a hard time expressing her feelings.

However, a cold voice cuts in their conversation, freezing both Aegis sisters. "The answer is never. She's an Aegis she's not made to love, especially with that freak of nature."

Pyra and Mythra turned to the tree and saw Malos standing there, glaring at all three of them. But he seemed to be giving Rex, who was still asleep, the biggest death glare ever.

"I still can't believe you fell for this monster. What, are you attracted to freaks now, Mythra?" Malos asks in disgust,

Hearing how Malos insulted their Rex made both Pyra and Mythra glare back at him, and the temperature rises a bit along with the brightness. "And what would you know about love? Mythra snarked back while gritting her teeth.

"Nothing. This is what you should know, too. Father didn't make us to love. He made us to end this world. This world's a cancer Mythra, people fighting over land instead of finding a solution." Malos arrogantly declares as he raises his arms. "They're self-destructive already, and I'm just going to get the final result early. At least I'll make their deaths quick and painless."

Pyra, however, gets up and summons her sword. "If you think for even a second we'd agree with whatever you say, you're insane. Now get out of here and leave us alone." Pyra threatens with her sword lit ablaze.

Whistling at Pyra's threat, Malos gives it a small, quiet clap. "Nice threat from a fake." Both Pyra and Mythra clenched their fists at Malos's insult. "But I have a threat of my own. Know Minoth's granddaughter?"

At those words, both sisters froze, and then a look of horror and understanding appeared on their faces.

Seeing their expressions, Malos's smirk got even more cruel. "Oh, and if you want her back, then come to the Olthero Ruins and leave your freak Driver behind can't have him using his powers on us." Turning around, Malos slowly begins to disappear. "So, don't wake him up. Let him sleep if you want the girl back." with that, Malos finally left.

Pyra and Mythra stared at each other in horror before looking down at Rex. Mythra gently set his head off her lap and on the ground, but not before stoking his hair one more time.

Both girls stand up as Mythra says. "Pyra, I-I-I'll fight." Pyra looked at Mythra in shock, unable to believe she wanted to come out and unleash her power after all this time. "I admit I'm still scared of my power. But I don't want to lose against Malos. I won't let him cut my time short with our new-no our Rex. So, I'll fight." Mythra declares with a fire in her eyes that's been sparked after 500 years.

Pyra then approached her. "We'll fight. You won't be alone in this." Pyra's eyes then glowed dangerously. "I won't forgive Malos for using Minoth's granddaughter as a hostage. We can beat him without Rex."

Both of them were about to leave until another voice cut in. "I'm glad you two are willing to fight, but is it fair to leave your Driver out of this?"

Pyra and Mythra slowly turned around and saw Rex wide awake with crossed arms. And he did not look happy being left out.

1: I'm so sorry for the long hiatus. I should've said something but I just had no drive to write for the whole year. I only started writing again just a week ago.

2: Like I said I'll tell you guys if I quit writing. The only reason if I don't update is either I'm dead or on a long hiatus

3: Yes I've finished playing Xenoblade 3 and it's DLC.

4: next chapter is when we'll get to the ruins fight

5: the beginning half of this chapter was almost written a year ago I don't know if it works with what I added but I don't feel like rewriting 3000 words

Somerandomhomosapeins: I really enjoyed Xenoblade 3 and thought it was an excellent end to the Klaus saga.

Phantom thief hearts: I'm incorporating some ben 10 plots into the stroy but I'll say this I have no plans for Aggregor being part of my story. He's an okay villain but nothing like Eon, Vilgax or Malware.

Rex and his friends will go to space at some point they might go to galvan prime I haven't decided where though

No reboot aliens

No Kevin, Gwen or Rook

Anodites exist and Rex knows of their existence and powers but he's never met one.

Guest: Might as well answer this due to Xenoblade 3. But a combination of Paradox and Azmuth prevented the alien species from get split into the xeno 1 world.

Taiman215: I do have a plan for Aegis abilities mixed with Alien power but that's way far off.

Shogun lord poke burst: I'll show you guys how it happened after the ruins fight.
