At dinner, Harry was a little jumpy because he didn't know how Draco was going to act around him after everything that happened. Heremonie tried to put his mind at ease a little bit, but nothing she said was going to help. He knew how he was acting before and this might just put him over the edge.

"Harry, just focus on eating dinner and then we can promptly leave," Ron leaned into the table, granted the table was packed so it didn't matter too much.

Heremonie looked over at the Slytherin table trying to spot Draco, "honestly, I don't see him."

"I wonder where he is," Harry looked puzzled, where was he? Was he okay?

"Who are you talking about?" Fred leaned over to the group.

"You know we can all hear you, right?" George remarked.

Harry and Hermione made eye contact, "uh, no one-"

"We are trying to avoid Draco," Ron looked over at Harry and Hermione, "they already know we are avoiding him, so…"

"Oh, he is in the hospital wing," Fred and George stated.

"What? Why?" Harry blurted out without thinking.

The twins shrugged. Harry quickly glanced over at Hermione and then at Ron. They ate the rest of dinner in silence, Harry was a little worried about Draco. This was the second time he had been to the hospital recently.

As they walked back to the Gryffindor Common Room, it was honestly a little silent at first. They didn't really know what to say, what was there to say? Harry honestly let his mind wander a little bit.

"Look, I know that you are probably jumping to conclusions in your head, but don't I understand sometimes it's easy to do, trust me, however don't worry too much. Maybe we will see him tomorrow," Hermione had to interrupt the silence.

As they rounded the corner, there he was leaning up against the wall. "Draco," Harry said.

"Beat it Granger, Weasley," Draco barked.

"Why?" Hermione crossed her arms, "we aren't going to leave if you are going to do something awful to him."

Draco rolled his eyes, "I'm not going to hurt him, calm your wand."

"Oh!" Hermione looked over at Harry, "are you going to be okay?"

Harry shrugged, how could he know what was going to happen? Draco clearly wanted to talk about it but he admitted he didn't want to hurt Harry, so there's only one way to find out. Harry opened his mouth to speak.

"Look, Mudbl-," Draco stopped himself, "look Granger, I just want to talk to him about…something. If you are really that worried just go back around the corner and wait. If he needs you or the red head, he can yell for you."

Hermione looked shocked, she quickly glanced at Harry, "we will be around the corner."

Harry nodded and looked down at the floor, he had to admit he was a little nervous to talk to Draco. This conversation could go so many different ways, and he honestly didn't have a good feeling about it.

Draco sighed, where should he start?

There was a long pause, "look Harry, I have a lot of stuff going on and I honestly don't really know what came over me. I hope you understand that I don't think we can-"

Harry felt the tears streaming down his face, he was trying so hard to quickly wipe them away. He didn't understand why he cared so much about this, it was Draco for crying out loud. Harry looked up after a few moments of silence, Draco was just looking at Harry; almost studying him.

"It's okay Draco, really, I understand," Harry looked back down at the floor, kinda kicking the stones to fidget.

"No Harry, it's not okay," Draco growled, "AGH!" he screamed and punched the brick wall. Draco stayed like that for a moment, he slammed his head against the brick. He let his body give out as he slumped against the wall.

Harry just watched him, he didn't really know what was safe to do. He wanted to take him in his arms. He wanted to comfort him, Harry felt a pair of eyes on him; he turned around and saw Hermione watching. She quickly motioned for Harry to move. He didn't understand, she rolled her eyes and poked her head around the corner.

GO OVER TO HIM, she mouthed to Harry.

Harry turned back to Draco still on the floor, he slowly walked over to him and put one of his arms around him. Draco leaned into Harry, he put his head on his shoulder. Harry kissed Draco's head as he put his other arm around him.

Draco took a deep breath, "I just don't want my father to find out, or what the rest of the Slytherins. What would they think of me? Being with you?"

Harry knew what he meant, he tightened his embrace around Draco. He knew that this was going to end eventually. Harry didn't want to let him go.

"I know I shouldn't care, but I do care; I have to care," Draco let out another sigh, "Harry I don't know how this happened. I don't know when this started. After finding out about what I was, it kinda, it kinda turned my whole world around."

"I understand what you mean, I found out some pretty big news recently too," Harry was curious but didn't dare ask.

"Do you think we could find a way?"

Harry let out a deep breath, could they? Harry thought long and hard about it, he kissed Draco's head again. "Honestly, I don't know if we could and I don't want to force you because if we were found out it would make you hate me even more. I know that I honestly would want to try and we could find ways to make it work, it would be a challenge to make it work. There would be a lot of challenges, I think it would work for a while; but for how long I don't know."

Draco turned his head and brushed his lips against Harry's, it felt just like the first time. It was almost magical how much Draco was drawn to Harry. Harry pressed his lips against Draco's, quickly they found themselves entangled; their lips doing all the talking. It made Draco feel alive with every kiss. He wanted more, he had to have him. Draco felt something forum between the two of them.

They pulled apart and looked down at their hands, there was a glowing red string between the two of them. It slowly moved down towards their hands, and wrapped around their pinkies. They both looked at each other.

"Hermione!" Harry shouted, "come look at this!"

Hermione quickly ran around the corner, "what is that? What did he do to you?"

"It just happened, we kissed and it just appeared," Draco couldn't take his eyes off the string, it was beginning to stop glowing.

Ron grabbed Hermione's shoulder to turn her to face him, "wait a second! Didn't you tell me that some creatures do that when they bond?"

Hermione's eyes widened, "oh my! You are right! I remember that it will eventually fade so you can't see it unless you do a certain spell. It is just a magical bond between the two of you, uh, mat-" Hermione trailed off too quiet to hear.

"What was that last part?" Draco barked.

"Uh, it mates you two for, well, uh, life," Hermione shrugged her shoulders.

Draco and Harry looked at each other.

"Well, uh, that answered that question," Ron chuckled, "looks like you are going to be together after all!"

Draco shot Ron a look, "come on! Let's go show Madam Pomfrey. Maybe she will have some actual insight."

"But I had more," Hermione quickly added as Harry and Draco hurried to the hospital wing.
